Hinata stood before the mirror in the bedroom of Naruto's apartment, carefully adjusting the delicate lavender sash around her waist. Her pale lilac dress flowed elegantly to her ankles, accentuating her natural grace, and her long dark hair had been neatly styled, with a few strands framing her face. She took a deep breath, smoothing her hands over the soft fabric.

It had been so long since she had seen her friends, and tonight, at the celebration dinner for Naruto's imminent promotion to Hokage, she would finally reconnect with them. But the nervous flutter in her stomach wasn't just about the reunion—it was about the announcement. She and Naruto were married now, and with everything that had happened, the thought of revealing this intimate detail to everyone left her feeling both excited and uncertain.

She clasped her hands together, closing her eyes briefly to calm herself. You've faced much harder things, Hinata. Just take it one moment at a time.

When she stepped out into the living area, she froze for a moment. Naruto was waiting for her, leaning casually against the kitchen counter. He had traded his usual orange jacket for a sharp black and white ensemble, with the crimson Uzumaki clan symbol proudly adorning his garment which brought out the warmth of his blue eyes. He looked... incredible. Hinata felt the heat rush to her cheeks as she stood there, taking him in.

Naruto turned at the sound of her footsteps, and his eyes widened. For a second, he seemed completely at a loss for words. Then, a wide grin spread across his face. "Wow," he said, his voice low and filled with admiration. "Hinata, you look… amazing."

Her blush deepened, and she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "T-Thank you, Naruto. You look really handsome too."

Naruto pushed himself off the counter and walked over to her, his gaze soft and adoring. "Hold on," he said, pulling something from behind him. Hinata gasped softly when she saw what it was—a small bouquet of bright, golden sunflowers, tied together with a simple ribbon.

"Sunflowers?" she asked, her voice touched with surprise and delight as she reached for the bouquet.

He handed them to her with a warm smile. "I saw them and thought of you," he said. "They're bright, beautiful, and full of life—just like you."

Hinata's heart skipped a beat as she cradled the flowers against her chest. "You didn't have to, Naruto. Tonight's about you—about celebrating your achievement."

Naruto's grin faded into a softer, more serious expression. He took a step closer, closing the small distance between them, and cupped her cheek gently with his hand. "No," he said firmly but tenderly. "Tonight isn't just about me—it's about us. Because even though becoming Hokage is a huge deal, marrying you, Hinata, is the greatest achievement I'll ever have."

Hinata's breath hitched as she stared into his eyes, the sincerity in his words making her heart swell. She felt tears pricking at the corners of her eyes and blinked them away quickly. "Naruto…" she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.

He smiled, brushing his thumb lightly against her cheek. "You've loved me when I couldn't even understand what that meant. There's nothing I want more than to share this moment with you. So tonight isn't just about me—it's about us, together."

Hinata's chest felt tight with overwhelming emotion. She wanted to freeze this moment in time, to hold onto the version of Naruto who looked at her like this, spoke to her like this. She couldn't help but think,I wish he was always like this.

She gave him a teary smile and nodded. "Thank you, Naruto. That means so much to me."

He chuckled and stepped back, offering her his arm. "Well, Mrs. Uzumaki, are you ready to let the world know about us?"

Hinata's heart fluttered at the title, and she took his arm, clutching the sunflowers in her other hand. "Yes," she said, her voice steady despite the nervous energy coursing through her. "I'm ready."

As they stepped out into the cool evening air, Hinata stole a glance at Naruto, her heart a mixture of love, pride, and apprehension. Whatever the night held, she would face it with him by her side—for better or worse.

The restaurant buzzed with energy as everyone gathered around the long, warmly lit table. The Konoha 12, Konohamaru, and Iruka-sensei filled the space with laughter and playful banter. Plates piled high with food and glasses brimming with drinks passed between them, and the atmosphere was nothing short of celebratory. Even Sai managed to crack a faint smile amidst the noise, though Sasuke sat quietly at the far end of the table, his usual demeanor intact.

"You're finally becoming Hokage, huh?" Kiba said, grinning as he clapped Naruto on the back hard enough to make him wince. "Took you long enough, don't you think? I thought I might beat you to it."

"Beat me to it?" Naruto snorted, rubbing his shoulder. "Kiba, you're so far behind, you'd need a map and a guide just to catch up."

The group erupted into laughter, and Kiba scowled, his face red. "Tch, whatever. Just you wait—I'll have my own fan club someday."

"Sure you will," Shikamaru drawled, resting his chin in his hand with a lazy smirk. "Maybe in another life."

"Man, I missed this," Choji said through a mouthful of grilled meat, gesturing around with his chopsticks. "Feels like forever since we all got together like this."

"It's because you're always eating, Choji," Ino teased. "You'd never notice if wewere hanging out—you'd just be busy at the barbecue place."

Choji grinned unapologetically. "Hey, food is life."

"Speaking of food," Konohamaru chimed in, leaning toward Naruto with a mischievous grin. "Are you finally gonna stop scarfing down ramen all the time, boss? Hokage needs to be in shape, you know."

"Ramen is healthy!" Naruto shot back, mock offended. "And don't forget—I'm still your boss, Konohamaru!"

Konohamaru smirked. "Hokage or not, you'll always be the guy who fell for my Sexy Jutsu."

Iruka-sensei nearly choked on his drink at that, and the table dissolved into more laughter. "I'm proud of you, Naruto," Iruka said after recovering, his voice warm and full of sincerity. "I always knew you'd get here someday."

Naruto beamed, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "Thanks, Iruka-sensei. That means a lot."

"Alright, alright, enough about Naruto," Sakura cut in with a smirk, pointing her chopsticks at him. "We'll never hear the end of it if we keep boosting his ego. Hinata, how's it been keeping him in line?"

Hinata, seated beside Naruto, blushed furiously, her hands clutching her napkin. "Oh, um... he's—"

"Hard to handle, right?" Ino teased, leaning closer to Hinata. "I mean, I'd bet he's a handful."

"More like a pain in the ass," Kiba muttered, earning another laugh from the group.

Before Hinata could respond, Naruto stood, raising his hands to quiet everyone. "Alright, alright, I've got something important to say."

The table quieted as all eyes turned to him, curiosity and expectation shining on their faces. Hinata looked at him, her own nerves evident, but he gave her a reassuring smile.

"Well," Naruto began, rubbing the back of his neck. "First off, thanks for being here tonight and for all the support. It means a lot. But… there's something else I wanted to tell you guys."

He paused, glancing at Hinata, who stood and joined him. She gave him a small, encouraging nod before holding up her left hand, where her ring sparkled under the restaurant lights.

"We got married," Naruto announced, his voice steady but proud. "When we were away, Hinata and I… we tied the knot."

There was a stunned silence as everyone stared at the couple in disbelief. Then, almost simultaneously, the room erupted into cheers and exclamations.

"WHAT?!" Sakura shouted, leaping out of her chair. "You're married?!"

"Oh my gosh, Hinata, congratulations!" Ino squealed, rushing over to her and grabbing her hands. Tenten quickly joined her, their voices overlapping with excitement.

"Let me see the ring!" Ino demanded, examining Hinata's hand closely. "Oh, it's beautiful!"

"Hinata, you're glowing!" Tenten added, grinning.

Meanwhile, the guys mobbed Naruto. Kiba grabbed him in a headlock, ruffling his hair. "You sly dog! You didn't even tell us?"

"Seriously, Naruto?" Shikamaru said, though his smirk showed he wasn't too mad. "You couldn't have given us a heads-up?"

"Congratulations, man," Choji said, giving Naruto a hearty pat on the back.

"Thanks, guys," Naruto said, laughing as he tried to free himself from Kiba's grip. "And don't worry—we're still having a proper ceremony."

That stopped the commotion for a moment. "Wait, really?" Sakura asked, turning to him. "You mean we'll actually get to be there for the wedding?"

"Of course!" Naruto grinned. "We wouldn't leave you out of something that important. We just… couldn't wait."

Relief and happiness swept through the group again as the teasing resumed, and everyone began excitedly planning what they'd wear and what roles they might play in the ceremony.

Hinata watched her friends, her heart warm and full. For a moment, surrounded by laughter and love, the weight of everything else disappeared, and she let herself savor the joy of the moment.

The door to their apartment closed with a soft click as Naruto and Hinata stepped inside. The gentle hum of the village nightlife outside was muted, leaving only the warm silence of their shared space. Hinata slipped off her sandals, glancing at Naruto, who looked unusually content.

"Tonight was a success," Hinata said softly, breaking the silence. "Everyone was so happy for us."

Naruto grinned, plopping down onto the couch. "Yeah, it was awesome seeing everyone again. They haven't changed much—except for Choji. I swear, he's even louder about food than before."

Hinata giggled and moved to sit beside him. "It was nice to laugh and be with everyone. It feels like it's been so long."

Naruto leaned back, his expression softening. "You know, it's nights like these that remind me why I fight so hard for this village. For them—for us."

Hinata reached for his hand, threading her fingers through his. "And we're all grateful for everything you've done."

Naruto's eyes sparkled with mischief. "How about a walk?"

She nodded, unable to resist the warmth in his gaze. "I'd like that."

The two left the apartment hand in hand, strolling through the softly lit streets of Konoha. The crisp night air wrapped around them, cool but pleasant, as they made their way toward Hokage Mountain. The stars above glittered like scattered diamonds, and the moon cast a gentle glow over the village.

When they reached the summit, the view took Hinata's breath away. Konoha spread out before them, its lights shimmering like a sea of fireflies. The sight was beautiful, but Hinata found herself more captivated by Naruto, who stood beside her, his eyes fixed on the village below.

"It's incredible up here," Hinata said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Naruto glanced at her and smiled. "Yeah. I used to come up here all the time as a kid. Back then, I felt like I could talk to the Hokage faces, like they'd understand me. It was the only place that didn't feel so lonely."

Hinata's heart ached at the thought of a younger Naruto, longing for connection. She reached for his hand, squeezing it gently. "You're not alone anymore."

He looked at her, his blue eyes shining with emotion. "I know," he said softly. "And it's all because of you."

Hinata's breath hitched, and she felt her cheeks warm. "Naruto…"

He guided her to sit down with him, wrapping an arm around her to shield her from the night's chill. She leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder as they gazed out at the village together.

"You know," Naruto began, his voice filled with awe, "when I found out my dad was the Fourth Hokage, I couldn't believe it. The guy I wanted to surpass more than anyone was actually my dad. How crazy is that?"

Hinata smiled, her voice soft. "It's not crazy at all. I bet you're so much like him."

Naruto chuckled. "You really think so?"

She nodded. "I do. And I know you'll surpass him, Naruto. And I'm sure he would be very proud."

Naruto's smiled at her words before her expression grew serious, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "I want to be a Hokage that no one can ever forget. I want to lead Konoha into a future where people like me—people who started with nothing—can dream big. But…"

His voice trailed off, and Hinata turned to him, her heart sinking at the shadow in his eyes. "But what?"

Naruto sighed. "I've done things, Hinata. Dark things. Things I'm not proud of. But they felt necessary, you know?"

Hinata reached up, cupping his cheek in her hand. "Naruto, no matter what you've done, I know your heart. Everything you do, you do to protect Konoha and the people you love."

Naruto leaned into her touch, closing his eyes. "That's why I need you, Hinata. You keep me grounded, even when everything feels so heavy. I need you to help me create the future I see."

Hinata's chest tightened with emotion. "I'll always be by your side," she said softly. "But Naruto, you can't keep carrying everything alone. You have to let me in."

He opened his eyes, looking at her with a mix of gratitude and regret. "I'll try," he promised. "But there are some things I can't tell you—not because I don't trust you, but because I don't want to taint you with the darkness I carry. Let me handle it. Let me take all the darkness I just need you to be my light, the one who pulls me back if I ever go too far."

Tears welled in Hinata's eyes, her heart breaking at his words. She leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. "I'll always be here for you, Naruto. No matter what."

Naruto wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer. "Thank you, Hinata. For everything."

As they sat there, wrapped in each other's warmth under the starlit sky, Hinata closed her eyes, silently vowing to be the light he needed, even as her heart whispered those usual doubts she couldn't yet voice.
