For the remaining thirteen wolves who had survived this madness and bloodshed, they had spent one and a half day to find a new place to live, or at least it was for Saku, Tala, Hunter and puppies because it was settled that as soon as these three with the puppies, once they'd find their new home, the other six ones would be no longer under their rule.
And so their new home was in the mountains, which was more isolated from human contact as the terrain that was hostile for them would make the path for them too dangerous. Even if it seemed like it did not have enough food or water for them, some of the water could have been found tall in the mountains, whereas the prey would have to be hunted down in the valley below.
By the late afternoon, this was their new home, for Saku, his mate, his best friend, his biological daughter and two adopted sons and one adopted daughter. The remaining six survivors, after realizing it was a time for them to go, bowed their heads to their former alphas, spoke out their tributes for their leadership and thus, left them for good.
"Well, it looks like we've returned to just us… and the puppies." Saku commented that evening when the puppies were sleeping in their cave inside as the three adult wolves rested on the smooth cliffs that were overlooking the taigas, valleys and a great lake, all in the hostile mountainous territory. Tala wisely told him: "We have enough time to form a new pack, even months… the puppies will need to learn how to live in the wild."
While that could have waited for a little bit, considering the fact that they might not be able to hunt down their preys yet, Saku knew that was vital for them. That time would come one day, but there was one problem in this plan - Saku being a runt in the litter never fully made him confident to teach his offspring, biological or adopted, hunting.
"Saku, if anything, as we're well aware of your puppyhood… maybe I can fill in your place to teach the young ones how to hunt. I understand that it's you who wants to do so, but just in case." Hunter suggested him as he had much more experience in handling this kind of situation and Saku's answer was: "I wouldn't mind having you taking that responsibility… or at least share it with me, Hunter."
So it was settled, when the time would come at last, the time for puppies to grow older, all three of them would teach the four young ones how to survive every day in the wild by hunting down the prey, be it a squirrel, rabbit, groundhog, beaver, elk, caribou or whatever the Mother Nature in Alaska had to offer.
The months shifted from one to another and so the snow melted and as soon as spring came, by May no more snow remained. At least this time around neither of these three had to migrate to find a new place to live. Even the summer, high in the mountains, was much more bearable than below in the plains. And soon enough, the nature flourished with their prey.
So one late July day, near the lake, a lonely beaver was seeking for the woods to build the dam nearby. Being busy to get the best of the best wood the beaver could find, he could not notice that he was being stalked, but not just by one… but by five at once. Only one of them was a rather professional hunter among them.
"Alright, remember one crucial thing: The element of surprise!" Saku was that professional hunter, stalking the beaver behind the bushes, with Aniu, Saku II, Taku and Nita. All four of them were at this rate around eight months old and they'd grown bigger for that time. Aniu, being the closest one to her father, silently answered: "Yes, papa!"
Glancing at her, then at his adoptive pups, he knew that this was the good signal to hunt down the beaver. It was going to be the hunt relied on Saku's leadership, rather than the independent hunt. The beaver started to head further, still unaware, which was good enough for… "Alright… Three… Two… NOW!"
Having blunter senses than them, the beaver finally realized how the four young wolves were now coming out of the bushes and with the desire for success, he was in a grave danger. Letting go of the branch he held with his tiny paws, he sought the immediate shelter, and before he had a chance to get to the one in front of him.
"Ha! Got his escape way out! Come on, Saku!" Aniu leaped from above and prevented the beaver to hop into the shelter, leaving the prey stunned by this outcome. Seeing how the young black wolf was coming at him, the beaver had a second to think and before Saku II could have him in his jaws, beaver screeched and leaped in the bush next to him.
"Darn it! I almost had him!" Saku II groaned in frustration as his hunt was now out of the way. The giggles of his sister Nita were heard as she had leaped from behind him and straight towards the bush, with her saying: "Leave it to me, brother! I'll handle this pesky beaver!" Now she was the one who stood in the way for beaver and it seemed like there was no escape now.
"Now, now, there's nowhere you can go now… come here, delicious… Taku, no!" As she barred her fangs and licked her lips upon seeing the beaver as the delicious dinner, Taku suddenly sprung out of the bush and leaped on the beaver, but he was a bit too far as the beaver screeched one more time and managed to escape.
"No! We almost had him! Come on, let me get him!" Taku raised on his paws, not that swiftly like his siblings and Aniu as he didn't want to let the beaver escape. He, of course, wanted to do this all on his own, but once making a run for it, there he could notice that no matter how fast he was, he was easily falling for his weaknesses as the beaver was soon out of sight.
"Darn it!" Taku growled, realizing what kind of missed chance this all was. Nita, Saku II and Aniu came from behind and it was Nita who was the most irritated by this action: "Did you really have to do that, Taku?! We almost had that beaver for dinner!" Taku lowered his ears as he felt ashamed for what he'd done, looking down on the ground.
"Why didn't you stand behind this time at least?" Saku II asked his brother that question, which was a poor choice of words. It was not easy for Taku to be a runt between all four of them, as he wanted to succeed like the others. Aniu, on the other paw, told him: "Taku, I know you feel ashamed, but don't let that undermine your determination!"
He looked her in the eyes as he could feel like that she was more like a sister to him than Nita in this moment and she continued: "I know you're making the least progress of all of us, but you're the one who has shown how determined you are to succeed the most!" The weak smile stretched on Taku's face as he was flattered by this, saying "Thank you, Aniu."
Aniu nuzzled her adoptive brother to make sure that he had nothing to be ashamed of, whispering: "Don't mention it." As for Saku II and Nita, this was something to think about for now. Then, Saku had come from behind the old spruce to ask them: "Well, how well have you fared?" It was clear that he could notice that the beaver escaped.
"Well, we were doing good, but Taku's interference prevented me… I mean, us… to get the beaver for dinner, Saku." Nita explained to the adult wolf, which almost led to her brother to ask her: "Are you telling me that?" Seeing how both Saku I and Taku had the same troubles as puppies, Saku I decided not to scold the runt of them four.
"Okay, this could have been better. Still, it doesn't mean we're going to return hungry. There's still some left over of that caribou from the last weekend! Let's go!" Saku led them back to the high cave in their mountain and what they heard from Saku II was: "Caribou… makes me drool like crazy how delicious their flesh is!" Long story short, it was certainly amusing to the other young wolves and even their mentor Saku I.
The young ones continued to hunt and even then, despite Taku's best efforts, sometimes his actions led to their prey to escape, which neither Saku II nor Nita liked, but Aniu was always standing in Taku's defense and kept encouraging him. Not even Tala nor Hunter wanted to scold the weakest pup among them, seeing how he was reflecting Saku I like that.
On the humid summer night, the hunting session for the young ones was successful this time around and even Taku stood by so his brother would hunt down the rabbit with ease. As it was a late night, all three of adults and young teenage wolves were in their cave, isolated from human contact below… except for one.
Hunter, while moving on his side in his sleep, heard something and it kept him awake, but the others in the cave were sleeping tightly. After finding out the source of the noise came from the cave entrance, he recognized that it was a howl. Perking his ears towards the entrance, he recognized his biological niece howling out there.
Raising on his legs slowly and steadily, stretching his limbs for the night stroll to find out why Aniu was awake, Hunter crept silently out of the cave and there he saw his young teenage niece looking in the sky in an amazement and howling. Hunter gazed up in the clear summer sky and sure enough, noticed one or two stars falling up there.
"Aniu, hey." Hunter called for her and since she was expecting no one around at this time, she was surprised for a second, but noticing her black furred, emerald green eyed uncle, she greeted him: "Hi, uncle Hunter. Did I wake you up?" Even if she did, he couldn't really care as he sat next to her, saying: "Does it matter? I noticed you must be looking at the stars."
"Yeah! The night sky is raining with the falling stars! Isn't that amazing?!" Aniu asked her uncle as she hadn't seen this kind of natural phenomena in a long while, save for the northern lights. Gazing at his niece, whose beauty, passed from her mother, was obvious, Hunter had that warm feeling inside his fur that made him say: "It is… Aniu, I still can't believe how you've grown all these months along! As if yesterday you were a little puppy happily laughing on your father's head!"
This made Aniu giggle, as she loved those times back then, making her sigh nostalgically. Yet Hunter was not done here yet: "Aniu, you really do take a lot after not just your parents, but after me. You have the beauty and wisdom of your mother, the strength from me and the courage and eyes of your father. Do you know that?"
The teenage wolf was well aware of that and even if she liked these compliments coming from her uncle, she had one question: "Uncle Hunter, speaking of eyes, how come it is that Saku, Taku and Nita have white eyes and I have black eyes?" While her uncle had no real explanation behind that…
"It's interesting you mention it, but I've heard this old myth about wolves. Apparently, any canine that is born on passing from one year to another, and I mean exactly born on midnight, no matter if it is a male or female, has black eyes. And it seems that myth had embraced you, my dear niece." Hunter gave his best to explain the possible origins.
Whether that kind of answer was good enough to Aniu or not, she was satisfied that someone would provide some kind of answer and so she leaned on her uncle's shoulder to nuzzle him and say: "Uncle Hunter, thank you. I honestly think that it would be no fun without you here. No wonder why mama and papa like you being with us!"
"Don't mention it, kiddo." Hunter smiled as he knew that staying with his sister and her mate was something that was quite enough for him. Then Hunter switched the topic: "Aniu, out of all four of you, you do seem to possess that leadership spirit like your parents. You'd make a great leader to your adopted siblings, you know?"
As flattered as she was by that opinion, Aniu looked up in the sky as two more stars had rained from the sky. She returned her gaze at her uncle to say: "I know that, but with all due honestly, even if I might be an alpha female to my pack one day, I don't want to boast with it yet. I first want to help the ones who deserve it!"
"Like Taku?" Hunter knew at whom she was aiming at and even Aniu repeated: "Like Taku." If anything, her being supportive and helpful towards young brown wolf was admirable, for what he commented: "Taku may be the weakest among you four, but he shows his persistence. At least you aren't letting him down, unlike how your father's family had."
"And I plan to carry on, to make sure that he can push beyond his limits! I mean, I like Saku and Nita and I know how they care a lot for Taku, but them being unpleasant towards Taku in hunting sessions really makes me reconsider there." Aniu explained, showing that she wasn't easily giving up on anyone who would be seen as a backed up.
Before the uncle and the niece had returned to the cave, there was one more thing to discuss and it was: "Aniu, one day, when you find yourself among the new wolves, thanks to your mother's beauty, you might make the males faint for you, if you know what I mean?" Hunter chuckled at this statement, without wanting to sound like he had something else in his mind, which wasn't really pleasant.
"I know… If there had been other wolves who were fainting upon seeing my mama, I guess it shall be with me. But like mama, I will choose the one who would be with me not for attention and reputation, but because for love!" Aniu didn't want to have some kind of relationship where she was going to be used for another's pleasure.
"Good thinking, Aniu! What did I tell you? You got both your mother's beauty and wisdom!" Hunter nuzzled her when he heard this coming from her. The smile stretched on his face because he could foresee a bright future for her. And he had to foresee this one when Aniu asked him: "One last thing, uncle Hunter… will you find a female for yourself, like mama and papa?"
Aside from all the events happening lately, Hunter finding a female for himself was one of the things in his mind. When they saw the last star raining and were heading back to the cave to catch some sleep, he gave her a word: "I will, Aniu… one day. It could take some more time, but I will find one! That one whom I will love like how your father does your mother."
Closer the fall was coming, steadier the younger ones were becoming in their desires to handle the upcoming winter well. While Aniu, Saku II and Nita were doing well as usual, Taku had been progressing the most of them four. Even his brother and sister were shifting their attitudes for better, noticing how much it meant to him to keep up with them.
"Taku, you have no idea how well you're doing lately!" Aniu said this, walking by her younger adoptive brother by his side near the lake as the two had finished their hunting session at late summer day. Taku, who held the dead groundhog in his jaws as a trophy, blushed on this statement, said it in all modesty: "Well, I worked out lately to prove myself, Aniu."
"There's no need to be modest, Taku. Besides, you may end up being the strongest of all four of us one day, who knows?" Aniu reminded him what the dedication and strong will could do to someone. Nita and Saku II were behind them, talking to one another and their talk was all about compliments in the name of Taku's successful hunt.
"Just look at Saku and Nita, they're starting to appreciate your hard work and dedication." Aniu gave him a nod on something he should think about and Taku noticed them talking about his success and this made him feel more confident than ever. He said: "Well, it is good, but I still feel like I could do better! I still feel in myself that I can push beyond the limits, more than ever!"
"See, what did I tell you? If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything in your life." Aniu concluded this talk, even if the two could share something else with one another. Just then, Saku II and Nita caught up with them and the former one asked: "Hey, you two. What are you talking about? Maybe because how our little brother successfully hunted down the groundhog?"
The smile on Taku's face showed how much it meant to him that he was no longer being ridiculed for the failures in their previous sessions. Aniu also smiled and told him: "Not just that, but also how he can pursue his goals as well!" Each of them had goals in their lives to discuss, they all knew it. Nita commented: "Each of us have their own life goals in the end."
Saku II couldn't disagree with that. However, there was something in his mind he had to say and as he faced downwards, in the withered grass. He struggled to say it as he was afraid to make the situation embarrassing, but he was brave enough to initiate it: "Aniu, you know… there is something I wanted to tell you for some time…"
"Yes?" Aniu asked, wondering what the young black wolf had to tell her. Glancing at the lake that was reflecting the late summer's sunlight, he gazed in Aniu's black golden eyes and replied: "I didn't want to tell you that before, because I thought that others would look strange at me for so." Taku and Nita raised their eyebrows, wondering what he had to say.
"Look, you can tell me whatever it is. You have my word that it won't be any weird to me." Aniu decisively made her choice that she'd listen to him no matter what he had to say and it was: "Well, the thing is, I've always found you a pretty female, just like Nita. I was afraid that it'd have made things awkward because we've been raised together."
Since Aniu and Saku II were not blood related, it could have looked like he had a crush on her. The thing is, he didn't have and Aniu could actually feel that he was saying it because he was a nice wolf, nothing else. Still, she came close to nuzzle him and say: "Thanks! And I've always found you as a nice and handsome wolf, Saku. Not just that, but also as a good leader between your siblings, which I mean no offense to you two."
"None taken." Nita answered this, because Saku II was evidently the strongest of three in the litter. Still, he felt embarrassed and it'd not be like this if their parents were alive now and they needn't have to be under Saku, Tala and Hunter's care. He replied: "Yeah, but of four of us, you're the one who has the true leadership spirit among us, Aniu!"
"But what if I do? I may be your adoptive sister, but imagine if the three were on your own, without me. You'd make a strong impression as a leader and maybe be a better one than I am? You may have to think about that one." Aniu told him that, but not to scold him for trying to sound like he was inferior, but because she knew that he was a true leader in his spirit.
"Taku, while backed down a bit, pursues his dreams… Saku makes a good leader among us, even if he thinks you're better… and me?" Nita got to the centre of attention as she felt that it was on her and Aniu to discuss this and no doubt, she asked her: "Aniu, has Tala, your mama, talked about how we'll be the honey for the eyes of other males?"
"Well…" Aniu looked at her adopted arctic sister in her dark blue eyes and while it was awkward for Nita to say it, Aniu chuckled and revealed: "Uncle Hunter and I talked about this few weeks ago. Well, because my mom, you and I are pure arctic wolves, they consider us to be the prettiest wolves! Can you imagine that?!"
Now the brothers could imagine that Aniu and Nita would have some males with them. Even if one of the brothers could have filled in the place for Aniu, they just opted not to so they had others in mind. Nita returned to the talk: "Tala told me about it as well and to be honest, I would not mind if there are males who'd gladly be in relationship with me."
"Maybe it could be like how Saku and Tala met and have been meant for each other?" Taku asked, since he would not bear with it if Nita was dating someone and was just being used, for which she confirmed: "Yeah. I'd be disgusted to date someone who'd use me as a revenge plot against someone! Your papa would never do that, Aniu."
"Not to my mama, I know. Neither how Faro would ever do that to Sami." Aniu commented and she tried to make it sound like she had respect for their deceased parents. All three of them looked up in the sky and wondered where up there would their parents be. Would they be happy? Proud? Sad? Disappointed? Who could know?
Just as they were looking up in the sky, they heard Hunter's voice from nearby saying: "Ahhh, there you are! Where's the ace of today's session? You've really surprised me with your hunt, Taku! Wait until Saku and Tala find out!" Taku had to face the standing ovation from his adoptive parents and even Saku II gave up by saying: "Get used to it, brother."
Since the sun was starting to set, Hunter was in charge of the session and it was on him to lead: "Now come on, you four. We better find our way back before the darkness disorientates us in this thick taiga!" The young teenage wolves followed their uncle or adoptive uncle respectively, while the air started to become more and more humid.
"Aniu, I've figured out what I have, or dare I say, we have? The beauty! I don't know where I got it from, but you are lucky to get it from your mom!" Nita figured out what she was representing along her brothers. When it came to climbing their mountain, Aniu warmly told her: "Maybe one day you'll find out where you got it, but I say it's from your mom too." Whether Nita felt touched by the mention of Sami or not, it was worth a shot.
As summer ended and fall replaced it, Saku, his mate, his best friend, his only pup and his adoptive pups, they had everything. A family to keep one another together, their territory, isolated from humans, their source of food and water, with no one daring to disturb them and questioning their authority over it. They had a beautiful place to live, but they missed something they did not have for a long time - a clan.
It was a casual fall morning for their family. Saku II, after Aniu, was the second one who had learned to hunt independently, leaving Nita and Taku to follow him soon. He had told Saku and Tala that he'd go hunting on his own that morning. The lunch for their small clan was going to take a while, but nonetheless, it'd prove the effort given by the young black wolf.
"Do you think that Taku will one day stop looking at himself for being a runt and actually be the best of them all?" Hunter wondered as he was resting on the rock that gave him a good lookout at his niece, Nita and Taku, while they were observing the landscape in front and beyond. Tala, laying on the rock above, told him: "I don't see why not? His latest efforts have become… admirable."
"Yeah, I say the same. Say, is that Saku returning? Wait, where's his prey?" Saku, laying down next to his mate, changed from one topic to another as he was his younger namesake climbing up the mountain, emerging from the forest. Indeed, there was nothing in his jaws, not a single prey caught. But there was something in his eyes that brought some news.
"Saku! Saku, Tala! You have to come with me! As I was hunting… I came across the wolf, a female one! When I've told her whose territory this is, she asked me to talk to you! Don't worry, she's harmless!" Saku II all spat that out in rush as the news of them finding some new members of the clan were very important. Everyone else raised on their legs.
"Saku, lead the way to her, now!" Saku I told him as it had been months since they had anyone else other than them under the rule of Saku and Tala. "Follow me!" Saku II obliged and soon enough, down the mountain, through the forest, seven wolves made their way to the entrance of their territory, where Saku II had seen the female newcomer.
"There she is!" Saku II beamed towards her with his body when he looked straight in front of himself at the entrance. He was right, there was a female standing there. She was an arctic wolf, evidently by her snow white fur. This was someone else as no one they knew was white furred and had crystal bright blue eyes.
"This is great! We should each one of us go meet her if she wants to be in this clan, come on!" Saku couldn't wait to have someone new in his clan and this could mean something, a new beginning for his clan after months of being just him and his family. But it was the beginning of the new chapter for someone around them.
That was right, it was for Hunter. As soon as he gazed at the arctic female with those crystal bright blue eyes in front of him and how the wind stirred her fur, it was like as if Hunter's emerald green eyes had finally opened and how his jaw had fallen in awe. He was not dreaming, because right in front of his eyes was the most beautiful female he'd ever seen!
Being in this kind of trance made Hunter feel the warmth spreading through his body like it never had before. Underneath his eyes there was seen the red tone that indicated something he'd not had before - love? Yet, the voice, coming from Tala, brought him back: "Hunter! Hunter, come on! We're going to introduce ourselves to her!"
"Huuuhhh? Wait, what?" Hunter was still stuck between his fantasies and the reality while the female was being approached by Saku and the pups. Tala looked at him with confusion, until her confusion shifted into mischief and amusement, as she told him: "No way, Hunter! I know that look! You must be already falling in love with her?!"
"Me? No, no, no! I was just stunned by her… looks…" Hunter tried to hid what he was feeling towards this female, but once he started saying "stunned", that was the point when he could not take it back and even Tala acknowledged it: "Awwww, don't hide it now! I saw how captivated you were on the sight! This is big, you know?"
"Look, Tala, as much as I appreciate what you're thinking, but I don't wanna make a fuss about it, okay? I just don't know what's gotten in me when I saw… her…" Once again, he'd slowed down to say this, leaving enough for Tala to remind him: "Now, now, that look was the same look Saku had given to me when I met him. It was at that point when he realized that he had a crush on me, so maybe it's coming to you now?"
"M-m-maybe?" Hunter stuttered, as if his entire courage he'd had for his entire life had vaporized like a geyser. Just then, there he saw Saku talking to the female and it was on Tala to come as well, but not before she told him: "Come on, go introduce yourself to her! Who knows, maybe something kicks off between you two!"
This entire idea was very lovely to him and if he were to do so, only with courage, he'd feel like the strongest and noble-most wolf in the existence. Only that there was no courage and his didn't move from his spot… at least until Tala moved on his side and started pushing him by his shoulder, causing her to say: "Come on, don't be shy now!"
As for Saku and the pups, it was on Saku to say: "It's an honor in the name of my clan that you're joining us! I am Saku, the alpha male of this clan, and the while female next to me…" He looked at Tala, who had just joined him from one say to meet the female, and continued: "...and this is my mate Tala, the alpha female of the clan."
"Hi, it's a pleasure to meet you!" Tala politely introduced herself to the female opposite her side. The female smiled delightfully when she said in a warm voice: "And it is my pleasure that you're allowing me to stay with you. Are these four your pups?" She had noticed Aniu, Saku II, Taku and Nita behind them.
"Well, see the arctic one with black and golden eyes? She's our only daughter, Aniu. The other three, Saku II…" He gazed at his younger namesake so the new female was getting to know each of them by their looks carefully. "...Taku…" He looked at the brown male and then he glanced at the another arctic wolf, with a gray muzzle… "...and Nita. They were adopted, which is a story for another time."
The female repeated to herself these names: "Aniu… Saku II… Taku… and Nita…" She felt like saying their names sounded pretty sweet to her, as if she were to know the origins of their names. "I really like your names, young ones. Aniu, Nita, I'm happy to know that we resemble one another, just like Tala, is it Tala…?" Tala's nodding confirmed her answer, much to her relief. "And you two, Saku, Taku… I think you're looking pretty handsome for your ages!"
The boys blushed upon hearing that and Nita's giggles just escaped from her mouth, as if she found the female's statements pretty amusing to listen. But then, she finally noticed Hunter among them, whose goofy grin on his face made her feel sympathy towards this black furred, green eyed male, especially when she asked: "Oh, hello. I don't think we've meet, have we?"
Hunter felt the heartbeat increasing when she was talking to him and deep inside himself, he could hear his own voice: "Don't just stand in there, Hunter! Say something, anything! Introduce yourself to her!" His jaws opened as he was saying the following… "H-h-h-hi! My name is H-Hunter! I am Tala's b-b-brother!"
He started shivering when he said this, feeling that he had embarrassed himself in front of her. But what he did not see coming was when she made her move towards him and standing right in front of him, she told him: "Hunter? Certainly fits to a handsome wolf like you are. I believe you are living up to your name, Hunter."
Was she… flirting with him? The others were amazed at this situation and Hunter didn't see it coming when the female stroked his chin with her snow white tail, which put Hunter back in the trance, but he heard her say: "The name fits you, Hunter. I am Laska." Laska making a move towards Hunter was an outstanding move!
"L-L-Laska?! That is a… a wonderful name you have!" Hunter stuttered as he could not take his eyes off her nor how she was openly being flirty towards him, all while his family was watching in amazement. So Laska told him: "Say, why don't you and your family tell something about yourselves? I'd be happy to know since I'm now under Saku's leadership."
Giving something to her that she might know and use for good intentions seemed reasonable to them and Tala obliged: "No worries, Laska! In fact, why don't you and Hunter get to meet one another first, then we'll catch up with you?" Now it was on Hunter to see what kind of female Laska was for him. He felt something coming to him.
It was a very tiny bit of courage. Even if it were smaller than a pebble, it was pretty enough for Hunter to tell her: "Well… if you don't mind me, Laska… I can show you around our territory and… maybe we can have a talk?" He did not want to look silly in front of her and she could have been the one he'd been looking his entire life.
Laska offered her paw when she sat in front of him, saying politely: "I'd be glad if you were to show around this place. It looks so lively and fresh in here!" She sounded like as if she were some kind of poet like that, just the way Hunter pleased when he said, while still stuttering: "A… after you, Laska." She happily accepted his offer and was ready to head up the mountain where Hunter showed her, but not before stroking his chin with her tail once more.
They waited for them to leave their sights as they were soon gone behind the trees and rocks and Aniu broke the silence, all in amazement: "Did… did you see that?! Uncle Hunter has found a female for himself!" Her adopted siblings were amazed by the fact how some female like Laska, was able to seduce their beloved uncle, or adoptive uncle at least.
"Laska seems like a sweet female… I hope that things work out between her and Hunter!" Saku II said this as while her beauty was captivating to him, he realized that he was ages behind her, which made him look down in the humid ground. Tala said: "Well, now that we have a new wolf in our clan, Hunter has someone special at last!"
"He does, but as for now, we'll let them be and we'll see where their relationship goes. As I'd say, the more, the merrier for our clan!" Saku wisely and joyfully said this, as the thought of having more wolves in this clan, by means of coming individually or being born in here, was something he welcomed either way, like the others around him.
"Can we go and see how they're doing, Tala?" Nita asked her as she was curious how would Hunter be doing with the female he just met. Taku said this in Tala's name: "Maybe we should give them some room and time to get to know one another now, Nita. We'll talk to them later anyhow!" His words were saying enough as this was the good opportunity for them to hunt down some prey and let the two be by themselves for now...
