Jack was going through the treasure in the room as Will, guarded by pirates, glared at him.

"You've been planning this from the beginning. Since you learned my name." Will accused.

"Oh, please - do I really seem that clever?" Jack asked him.

"You've managed to turn Nicole against her sister in short time, which proves you're quite the manipulator." Will told him.

"Or I've just been shown a better life." I said and he turned to look at me angrily.

"I must admit, Jack, I thought I had you figured." Barbossa told him. "But it turns out you're a harder man to predict."

"Me? I'm dishonest." Jack told him as he moved closer to us. "And a dishonest man you can trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly stupid." He smoothly slipped the sword from a nearby pirate's scabbard, kicked him in the butt to knock him over and tossed the sword to Will, who caught it despite his surprise. "Use it well." Jack and I drew our own swords and Jack went for Barbossa while I went for a pirate nearby.

"Confound it, Jack - I was actually beginning to like you!" Barbossa told him as they fought. Will and I fought close together while Jack and Barbossa moved to another area of the cave. Will and I had three pirates on us as we moved with our different fighting styles. Will's style had been perfected over years of practice while mine was survival, which was how Jack taught me during the voyage we'd had the first time. It was hard to kill the unkillable, but we had to continue or die. I could still see Jack and Barbossa from the corner of my eyes and saw Jack stab Barbossa. Barbossa sighed and pulled the sword from him and drove the sword into Jack's chest.

"Jack!" I called out ignoring the pirate in front of me. Luckily, we were all interested with what was about to happen. Jack stared down at the sword jutting from his chest before taking a few steps backwards. When he stepped into the moonlight he became skeletal

"Well, isn't that interesting." Jack pulled the sword from his chest as well as one of the Aztec coins from his pocket. "They're so pretty, I just couldn't resist stealing one. It's a curse, I guess." After that, the fighting was back on. We moved all around the cave fighting the three pirates left to us, and one of them was rather bomb happy. He threw a bomb at us and we ran from it only to beck knocked to the ground by the explosion.

"I'm going to teach you the meaning of pain!" he told us moving towards us and preparing to kill us.

"Do you like pain?" a familiar voice asked before he was knocked to the ground. "Try wearing a corset." Elizabeth helped us up with her weapon, a long pole, before we all looked down to Barbossa and Jack. "What side is Jack on?"

"At the moment?" Will asked.

"Ours." I answered before we went after the three pirates once again. She knocked ones head in before the three of us used it to block the swords coming down on us. She gave it to Will who knocked the pirates into a line before we stabbed them with the pole, connecting them. Will took one of the bombs before shoving it in the ribs of the one in the middle and we shoved them out of the moonlight. The middle pirate tried getting the bomb out of his flesh before looking up at us.

"No fair." We ran away from them before they exploded to the chest, me last in line. Jack tossed his coin to Will when he got to the chest soon followed by Elizabeth. I froze at the base of the mountain of gold with Barbossa's gun on me. I jumped in shock as a shot rang out staring at Barbossa. Barbossa looked confused before turning to Jack who held a smoking gun.

"Hah. Ten years you carry that pistol, and now you waste your shot." Barbossa told him smiling.

"He didn't waste it." We turned to Will to see him holding a bloody knife in one hand and the other a fist above the chest. He opened his fist and both medallions, half covered in blood, dropped from his hand. We turned back to Barbossa who dropped his sword and opened his jacket. I moved to Jack's side to see blood blossoming on his white shirt around the bullet hole, spreading quickly downward. He smiled as Jack lowered his pistol.

"I feel… cold." And with that he dropped heavily to the ground, dead. It was finally over and time to go home. Jack began going through the treasure, tossing what he didn't want, as I overheard Will and Elizabeth speak.

"We should return to the Dauntless." She told him.

"Your fiancée will be wanting to know you're safe." Will said. She turned and ran from him with me following.

"Lizzy!" I called to her. "You okay?"

"He's safe. That's all I wanted." She told me before Jack and Will joined us.

"Is it all you wanted?" I asked her as we piled in a boat and started rowing away from the island.

"I'm sorry, Jack." Elizabeth said once we saw that the Black Pearl was gone leaving us only to take Jack to the Dauntless and certain death.

"They done what's right by them." He told us. "Can't expect more than that." I took Jack's hand in mine, knowing the grim future left to us.
