A/N: Major thanks to everyone who left reviews! I agree with the person who mentioned that Brittana weren't so good at communication (I based that on canon as I believe most of their relationship issues were from them misunderstanding each other at times) and that's something they're working through but I do think we see them progress a lot compared to how they were.
Comments really keep me motivated as a writer, so if you have any thoughts or there's anything you'd like to see, please don't hesitate to leave a review sometime on this or my other fics. Thanks for reading.
Brittany felt wonderful waking up in familiar arms, loving the warmth and the weight of Santana's firm, wiry body laying mostly on top of her, their legs tangled together with her thigh pressed up between Santana's legs and vice versa. Brittany very lightly stroked the ends of Santana's dark hair, enjoying the comfortable weight of her body pressed against hers.
Santana was still clearly sound asleep, breathing deeply with her face pressed up against Brittany's neck and the blonde gently stroked her shoulders, smiling softly to herself. Since Brittany was so tired all the time now that she was pregnant, it was rare for her to be awake before Santana like this.
Heat flushed her cheeks when she registered the feeling of Santana's wet heat pressed against her upper thigh. That feeling in particular was so familiar, bringing back memories of a million times she had felt that same slickness covering her skin the same way. She would never get enough of that, or feeling of those full lips against hers, that familiar heady scent, or the warmth of Santana's body wrapped around her protectively.
She was so glad she got to experience all of this again and she wondered how she would ever have lived without it.
Everything about Santana's touch was just as electric as it had been before for Brittany. Even more so than it had been. Brittany hadn't even realized just how much she was craving it until Santana touched her again and she felt desperate for it, her entire body flushed with need. She hadn't expected Santana would finally come to her and admit everything to her like that but it was better than even her wildest fantasies.
It was a Saturday and soft morning light was filtering in. A quick glance at the clock on her bedside table showed they had slept straight through until ten, which wasn't surprising, Brittany thought with a smirk, after the way they had worn each other out. It had been way too long since she had Santana in her arms like this.
Those months without her felt like a lifetime.
She looked down at her stomach and cupped a hand over her lower belly instinctively because it comforted her somehow when she thought about the baby. She rubbed her stomach without thinking about what she was doing, just as she did every morning these days and felt Santana eventually shift against her as the movement woke her up. Brittany wasn't sure when Lord Tubbington got into her room but he meowed in mild irritation as the humans interrupted his sleep. He flicked his tail and jumped down from where he had been curled up sweetly at the foot of the bed.
"Hi."
Santana sat up, leaning and putting her weight on her arm. She watched her so intensely with those coal dark eyes that Brittany almost felt flustered. The blonde felt that little nervous edge take over her in the back of her mind as she wondered if Santana was now going to run off and leave her after what they had done when she realized it.
To her surprise and relief, the Latina just gave her a contented smile, stretching her limbs slightly like a cat. There was something different about her. Something felt more at ease between them and Santana's body language was no longer tense or guarded now that they released that tension between them.
"Hi. You're so beautiful," She sounded breathless, and glanced at her as if she was seeing her for the first time. "How do you feel?"
The small frown disappeared from Brittany's lips, replaced by a smile that mirrored Santana's.
"How do you think? Mm, I love it when you're all clingy and cuddly like this." Brittany giggled when Santana instantly rolled over onto her body and lay against her, pressing sweet, playful kisses all over Brittany's neck. Brittany's toes curled when the kisses became more intense and she felt Santana begin to grind down against her thigh.
Brittany eventually grabbed Santana's chin a little forcefully, pulling her face closer so she could kiss her lips. She groaned when she felt Santana's hand make its way up her soft inner thigh again. She parted her legs eagerly right away for it and then Santana was teasing her, touching her outer lips and stroking her clit until Brittany whimpered into her mouth in frustration.
The blonde felt herself blushing as she could feel her own wetness dripping down her thigh and all over Santana's left hand. She couldn't remember ever being as wet as she had been the previous night or this time.
She felt so much more sensitivity in her breasts and the area between her legs than ever before. She grabbed the back of Santana's other hand and urged her to touch her more gently when she began to cup and squeeze her breast. When Brittany could take it no more, those long fingers slipped deep into her heat and curled upward. Brittany whimpered, her grip on the back of Santana's neck tightening as she surrendered to the passion between them.
Brittany eventually grabbed Santana's arm, all but pulling her into the shower with her after they enjoyed the afterglow for a few blissful minutes. By the time they had finished showering - spending more time touching each other, which of course lead to another round of sex and extended their shower time by an extra twenty minutes- Brittany realized just how hungry she was, for something other than Santana's tight body for once.
She felt sore between the legs, sucking in a breath whenever she moved but at the same time, it was the best feeling. She smirked, noticing the obvious bite marks on her shoulders and neck.
She kissed her lover's cheek gratefully when Santana turned on the kettle and got out her favourite pink and white cat mug to make tea for the girl. Santana could be so considerate with her. She even drank her coffee from another one of Brittany's cat mugs without complaining.
Santana had always been so caring and attentive since she had moved in, like, well, the way a girlfriend or a wife would be to their pregnant partner. It made Brittany so blissful to think that Santana wanted to be her lover - that she hadn't just been imagining all of that heated tension she felt between them.
"It's already midday. No wonder you're starving, Britt," Santana watched the blonde's face closely, her gaze drifting to her belly area as Brittany rubbed her stomach again without thinking about what she was doing. "Whoa, actually, is it even alright for you to drink this? Hang on, I'll look it up, just to make sure."
"Aw, that's sweet of you being all protective. It's only the herbal teas that aren't so good for me right now, so this chai should be alright."
Brittany noticed Santana was giving her a strange look as they sat close together, their shoulders touching, her lips pulled into a worried frown that the blonde was familiar with.
"What's up?"
"It's just," Santana swallowed, looking away and Brittany could tell she was a little flustered about something. "Last night, when we… you know. I was pretty rough with you."
"I know. That was the best part." Brittany purred. She couldn't resist trailing her fingertips along Santana's arm flirtatiously as she leaned in to kiss her ear, then nipped the same spot. She saw the way her lover's eyes opened wide at her boldness.
"Britt," Santana couldn't hold back a strangled groan as she was instantly hit by a wave of arousal. "I mean, I didn't hurt you, did I?"
"We're fine, believe me. It's totally safe to do that," She lowered her voice seductively, kissing Santana on the neck. "I really liked it. Think I'm gonna need a reminder sometime."
Santana's were dark and hooded when they met hers, so full of intensity as she too was reliving what they had done. She slid her mouth to Brittany's and the blonde sighed, parting her lips and allowing her tongue to slip inside.
Brittany eventually pulled away slightly from their kiss when she felt eyes on them. She was so flushed, both at the kiss and the realization that any member of her family could have seen them. They both looked up at the sight of another tall blonde, who was watching them closely from where she was leaning against the kitchen counter.
It wasn't exactly the way either of them had imagined telling Whitney that they were back together.
"Hey! Look who finally decided to come down! It's the lovebirds," Whitney chuckled and cooed over how adorable they were. "Aw, kissing again! So cute! Relax, I'm just teasing. I don't mean to break up the lovefest but can you girls help me with a little gardening after breakfast?"
Getting all covered in dirt wasn't exactly Santana's typical idea of how to spend a Saturday but Whitney Pierce had her hands on her hips, staring them down with those sharp hazel eyes and Santana couldn't say no. Besides, it meant spending more time with Brittany. After the night they had just had, she couldn't get the blonde off of her mind. She took any excuse to be close to the blonde and touch her.
She was a little shy about getting handsy with Brittany in front of her parents, though.
Brittany felt the same, slipping her hand into the other girl's with a giggle and interlacing their fingers as they followed her mother out into the backyard. Digging in the dirt with Brittany brought back all these nostalgic memories of childhood summers with the Pierces when all they had to worry about was riding bikes and playing in Brittany's treehouse. It was good to see Brittany having fun again and Santana remembered how much the girl loved flowers.
"Phew, I'm parched. Going to make some lemonade for us. I'll be right back in a little while, Girls." Whitney announced after they had finished planting out flowers, putting down her shovel and walking off into the house.
Brittany and Santana glanced at each other, both sensing that Whitney really just wanted to give them some alone time together.
"This isn't our typical date," Santana joked, giving Brittany a goofy smile, which the blonde returned. "With your mom chaperoning us and all."
"It's kind of fun."
"Yeah, you know, surprisingly I'd have to agree."
Brittany turned to her, her eyes scanning over her face as if searching for something. Her blue eyes were burning with some intense emotion.
"Santana, you… you make me feel like a girl again. It's like my body wakes up."
Santana shivered, feeling breathless as she heard Brittany's confession. She didn't know how to respond to that, so she did the only thing that felt right and tilted her head, leaning in to kiss Brittany until both of them were left in a daze.
Santana was confused by the taller girl's shy and ashamed expression as she avoided her gaze for a moment when she pulled away. She slipped her arm around Brittany's shoulders, pulling her into a comforting hug for a moment.
"Hey, what's up? You look a little lost in your thoughts and I don't think it's gardening you're upset about."
Brittany took a deep breath and released it. She felt like confessing everything to Santana was the right thing to do, even though the memories were painful. Her voice trembled as she spoke.
"There's something else I wanted to tell you before. I didn't mean to shout at you like that, that day when we were in the Left Behind Club."
"Britt?"
Santana didn't understand why she was bringing up this incident now of all times.
"I never meant to make you think I was putting all the blame on you for going to college. I shouldn't have made it sound like you just… abandoned me when I knew it wasn't like that. At least, you didn't mean it like that."
Santana felt taken aback hearing all of this, trying to process it all though it made her wince to even have to mentally go back to that dark place. She finally found the courage to ask Brittany what she had been wanting to ask her that day but never had the guts to.
"Then… what did you mean when you said those things?"
"I was just hurt at the time because of all of the changes. I used to just lie in bed and cry when I waited for you to come on Skype to see me but you never did. I felt like I was just a burden to you. I know what I said was mean but I missed you so, so much because you weren't skyping or calling me and I got all emotional but seeing the crushed look on your face when I said that stuff about feeling like I was having a panic attack when you left only hurt me even more."
Santana remembered that day well and how much it cut her up at the time to realize that her going to college had been that traumatizing to her girlfriend. She had been overwhelmed by guilt. She knew the blonde wanted to explain more about how she felt about them and their relationship during that scary time but she pressed a finger to her lips before Brittany could go on.
"Oh, Britt. It's alright. It… hurt me at the time a lot to hear you say that because I felt like the most terrible girlfriend in the world but I understand why you felt you had to say it. You're still thinking about that?"
Brittany looked down sadly at her rainbow-coloured flip flops, nodding. Santana didn't want her to be burdened with so much guilt.
"I never meant to break your heart like that either, in the choir room when we… you know. I'm such an idiot. I just got too much in my head, like I do sometimes and I thought I was protecting you by breaking up with you - that I was doing the mature thing - but I was really actually being stupid."
"I know. I guess I always knew you were being all noble and wanted to protect me I just… why did you do it like that? Why then?"
"I thought you hated me," Santana laughed mirthlessly, her eyes glazed over with pain. "I thought when you told me all that stuff in the Left Behind Club with that heartbroken look on your face that you just wanted me to leave forever because I was making you sad."
Brittany snorted in disbelief shaking her head and put her hands on Santana's shoulders.
"I never wanted you to leave. I never hated you. It's the opposite. It might sound stupid but I wanted you to fight for me. I wanted you to argue back and tell me that you weren't going to give up on me. That you were going to fix things."
Hearing her say that made Santana's eyes open wide. She had no idea that's what Brittany wanted.
"You did? Why didn't you just tell me that?" Santana spoke up sharply, startled. If she had known that's what Brittany wanted all along, maybe things would have been way different. It would have saved them so much time. "I mean, sorry, I don't mean to sound all accusatory. I just really wish I had known that's what you actually wanted from me."
"I know. I'm sorry for making you all confused. I guess I'm not so good at talking about stuff when it comes to the scary, deep emotional stuff that hurts," Brittany admitted in a shy voice. "It's just a little overwhelming and confusing for me sometimes then the worst part is that it gets all bottled up inside of me until it's too much."
"Hey, you know I've never been good with that either. You witnessed it first hand for all those years." Santana inwardly cringed when she remembered how in denial she had been about her the intense, way more than friendly feelings she had for Brittany and her jealousy towards Brittany's ex-boyfriend. She was the queen of not being good at processing her feelings.
Brittany chuckled softly and Santana furrowed her brow in confusion at her, setting down her shovel as she let out a deep breath and wiped some sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand. Santana hadn't expected that reaction in such a serious moment.
"Britt?"
"We're so silly sometimes, aren't we? We just got everything about each other all twisted up and it made it all so confusing because we both just wouldn't talk to each other about how we really felt."
Santana frowned sadly at this, sadness clouding her dark eyes as she thought what the blonde said was a criticism of their relationship but Brittany cupped her cheeks gently, bringing her gaze back to her and looking into her eyes with a look of clarity and resolve in her own light blue eyes.
"Hey, I didn't mean it like that. We made some mistakes in the past but that's okay. You're here with me now in my life again and I'm pregnant with our baby, I feel… the happiest I've ever been in my life, as strange as that sounds. I know everyone would say I shouldn't be. All of that other messy stuff, that's in the past and there's no sense in dwelling on it. I know you just wanted to protect me, even though it hurt me so much. I want you to know that I forgive you."
They both felt like a heavy weight had been lifted off of them, replaced by great relief and joy. It was like all of the pent up, tormented feelings they'd both been storing up for forever were finally released and they could just be with each other.
"I forgive you too. Even if I wanted to be angry and bitter… I couldn't be, toward you. I've never really been able to stay mad at you because I just like you too much. You're different, for me."
"I feel the same."
Brittany couldn't keep the smile off her face. She couldn't even put into words how good it felt to be able to talk to Santana so openly and touch her again.
"Whoa, all of these intense emotions lately are a lot to handle, Britt. I'm so glad everything's out in the open and we're on the same page again," Santana laughed, twirling Brittany around in a happy dance. She slowed down, holding her more carefully with a concerned frown when she remembered she was pregnant. "For the record, I am so, so glad to be here with you, to be able to touch you and hold you like this."
"Me too."
"I never felt forced to be here with you just because you're pregnant. It's the opposite, when you asked me to come stay with you, it… it was the best idea I ever heard. I wanted it so badly, I was embarrassed to tell you how much I wanted it. This has been a million times better than being stuck in New York. Did you really mean what you said about being… the happiest you've ever been in your life?"
Instead of answering, Brittany leaned in to kiss her sweetly, taking her gloves off and cupping her cheeks. Santana wasn't expecting the kiss to escalate so fast, as one minute it was tender and comforting then the next Brittany was moving her lips against hers more forcefully, heat flushing through both of them.
Somehow she ended up on her back in the Pierce's lawn with Brittany straddling her lap. Both of them were covered in dirt and sweat, baking in the sun but they couldn't find it in themselves to care when their lips pushed against each other so smoothly.
"Britt!" She gasped, taking deep breaths as the need for oxygen became too much and attempting to sit up with the blonde in her lap. "Not that I'm complaining but what brought that on?"
"Sorry, I couldn't help it. You just look so hot when you're all sweaty. It's so primal and raw," The blonde purred, her lips pressed up against her ear. Santana wasn't sure how far Brittany was going to take this but she was already slipping her hands up Santana's shirt. "I like seeing your body too."
Santana had never been too muscular but she knew Brittany loved the slight definition in her arms and shoulders from working out that showed in the tank top she was wearing, along with her lean legs. The dark-haired girl let her gaze roam over her lover's body as well, enjoying what she saw of her curves.
Brittany grabbed her by the back of the neck when she couldn't take it anymore and their lips met. She was disappointed when they heard wolf whistles from Brittany's mother and of course they both reluctantly pulled away from each other.
Whitney gave Santana a proud look and a thumbs up, as if she could tell that the Latina had finally made things right with Brittany.
Brittany's eccentric mother always seemed to have a habit of interrupting them at the worst times these days. Of course, Brittany's parents weren't going to bother them, or be strict about their relationship but they both felt too awkward to be all over each other like that around them.
"Come on, let's go inside. I think we need another shower." Santana suggested with a laugh, taking Brittany's hand after they had both had some of the lemonade Brittany's mom brought out for them. Brittany gave her a wink and Santana knew exactly what that meant as those blue eyes met hers, already clouded with lust.
Santana drove by the school to pick Brittany up a few days later. She felt drained after the long argument she'd just had with her mother over the phone because she had finally admitted to her that she was back in Lima and staying at Brittany's.
She'd made up some excuse about things just not working out in New York and needing to take some time to find herself back home. She couldn't exactly admit to her mother that the real reason she had come back home in the first place was because she got Brittany pregnant. Maribel was fed up with Santana constantly dropping things she only just started and changing plans.
There was no way her mother was going to accept that Brittany was pregnant with her child and if by some miracle she did believe it, she'd only want to kill Santana even more than she already did for getting a girl pregnant.
Santana narrowed her eyes when she saw Brittany making her way out into the school parking lot, chatting with a group of girls that included Tina and Sugar, along with some other kids Santana didn't recognize who were probably new Glee Club members.
She liked knowing that Brittany had friends to talk to but unfortunately, she knew how high school worked and the second they found out about Brittany's pregnancy, the rumours were going to get nasty. It wasn't Brittany she didn't trust but all the people around her who Santana was suspicious of.
They hadn't even told Brittany's little sister yet either and the Pierce parents had assured them that they wouldn't mention it to the little girl until Brittany and Santana were ready. All of this keeping of secrets was starting to give her a headache.
Meanwhile, speaking of headaches, Brittany kept complaining of one from the moment she got into the car. Along having to pee all time and still getting morning sickness a lot, the headaches were just another uncomfortable symptom the blonde had to deal with that Santana felt guilty for. The poor girl practically darted into her house as soon as they pulled up, rushing straight to the bathroom.
Santana sighed sympathetically as they fell into their usual routine. She brought the blonde some hot tea and cake, along with some painkillers, urging her to lie back on her bed and rushing over to close the curtains as Brittany curled inward, pulling her knees up to her chest and whimpering in the dim light.
They'd been having a ton of sex lately whenever they could, which always seemed to ease both of their minds and get Brittany into a relaxed state so she could sleep more easily but at the moment, Santana could sense that her lover needed something else. Brittany leaned up to kiss her cheek at one point, expressing her gratitude for how Santana was helping her. The Latina suddenly had an idea.
"Hey, Britt? Do you mind if I try something?"
"Sure. What is it?" The blonde whimpered again with effort, covering her eyes with her hand as she clenched her teeth. She was close to tears from her headache and she just wasn't having a good day as far as pregnancy symptoms went as she had spent the whole morning huddled over in a bathroom stall.
Santana frowned in concern, noticing the way the girl's face looked so pale white in her sickness. She spoke up quietly.
"Can I give you a massage? I heard it really helps with the headaches."
Brittany nodded slightly and made an approving noise, unable to speak.
Santana took that as her cue and began to pull up Brittany's shirt, stroking up and down her back with firm but gentle pressure and kneading the tense muscles. She could tell it was helping to relax Brittany a little as the girl sighed and leaned back into her touch, groaning every so often. Santana continued to work her hands up and down until she reached her shoulders and began to rub them, massaging each side of the back of the girl's neck.
"That actually does help a lot." Brittany piped up after a while, sounding more like herself and Santana grinned, proud of herself for doing something right. When she began massaging the girl's scalp and stroking her face, the tension visibly eased from the girl's features as she moved her face closer to her. After about twenty minutes, Brittany beamed at her, a look of relief coming over her as she pulled Santana close and kissed her lips.
"Thank you," She whispered against Santana's fuller lips. "I feel so much better."
She practically jumped Santana after that, feeling more than ready to make love with her again and they both sighed in appreciation as soon as their bare skin touched.
It turned out they didn't have to wait that long for others to find out, since some gossipy cheerleader saw Brittany holding her now much more obvious baby bump then passed that rumour along and before long, Tina heard about it, then confronted Brittany.
Santana groaned, making a face as she saw Tina glancing in her direction while talking to Brittany and the others from where she was parked, waiting to pick up the girl again. She slumped into her seat, feeling so anxious and embarrassed.
She was alarmed at the idea of others knowing about Brittany's pregnancy. It was such an early stage and Santana hadn't thought she would need to even think about how to tell others until much later on.
She drove them back home quickly, not wanting to stick around and interact with Tina and the others. Of course, by now it was obvious to the students that Santana was back in town and they'd probably been spreading rumours about why the college student had come back to Lima. It all made Santana's head spin.
At least Brittany was as bubbly and perky as always, distracting Santana from her bad mood. When they got back to Brittany's room and the blonde laid out on her stomach on her bed, Santana's mind started to race, thinking back to what she was imagined was judgment from all of those other girls who were snickering when they saw Santana.
"So how do the others feel about it?" Santana couldn't help but ask the burning question that had been nagging at her.
"Feel about what?"
"About you being pregnant."
Santana couldn't deny that the idea of Brittany's friends and the rest of the school most likely thinking that Brittany had got pregnant by sleeping with some random, unknown guy really, really bothered her.
It brought up these insecure, jealous feelings she tried to push down. She knew Brittany loved her and wasn't going to run out on her but she had spent so many years being scared that the girl she was in love with was going to eventually end up with some man, like society expected her to.
If it weren't for how judgmental society was, she would practically shout out to the world that she and Brittany were the moms. Although she had come a long way in not caring as much about what society thought of her, she just wanted everyone to know that was her baby in there and no one else's but it would be difficult to do that.
"Oh. A lot of people said they expected it to be honest because of my reputation. Some girls even said they expected it would have been me who got pregnant in high school instead of Quinn."
Santana grimaced and rolled her eyes, not liking the idea of them trash talking her lover.
"Ugh. How can you be so calm about this, Britt?"
"It's okay. It doesn't bother me. They can think whatever they like."
"Did they ask the big question? About who the baby's father is? We both know everyone's wondering about it." Santana couldn't help the insecure note that slipped into her voice as she bit out the words a little too sharply.
"Tina did ask me that, actually. She's pretty bold like that."
"Oh. Of course she did," Santana rolled her eyes and then she continued in a small, nervous voice, "So um, what did you say?"
"I just reflected and changed the subject."
"Reflected? Oh, you mean deflected."
"Yeah, that. You're so smart, San. Hopefully our baby gets that from you. They all think I'm probably too dumb and slutty to know who the other parent is anyway but I don't care if they wanna think that."
Santana's hands balled up into fists at her sides, fuming as she thought about it all.
"I don't like them talking about you like that. Those jerks don't even know the real you."
"I know and it kinda hurts sometimes but… at least you know me and you still love me. That's all that matters."
Brittany gave her a soft smile, despite the sad look in her eyes but Santana was too busy seething to think of anything other than her anger. Her fury with her mother, Tina, those other pricks at school and everything just continued to intensify. Eventually, it all burst out before she could help it and she finally admitted what else was bothering her.
"What about me? I mean they're talking about you and those gross guys, don't they want to know how your girlfriend factors into this situation? Um, I mean..." Santana trailed off, realizing her mistake in calling Brittany her girlfriend when they hadn't officially defined their new relationship yet. Her faced burned.
Brittany watched her curiously, her heart beating a little faster when she heard Santana call herself that. They hadn't put any labels on their relationship officially and she was dying to know what Santana wanted them to be now.
"Yeah, I guess people are pretty confused about that too. That Kitty girl thinks I cheated on you with Jake or Mike or something just because they're guys I hang out with sometimes. Which is ridiculous even so because they both have girlfriends and I've never been into either of them like that or the other way around. That girl is so annoying and a bitch."
Santana tensed up and cursed under her breath, her eyes flashing and accidentally dropped the bottle of nail polish she was holding for Brittany in her state of anguish and balled her hand up into a fist. Anger rose up in her throat.
"Fuck that ugly demonic piece of work." She growled.
"I know she sucks. You're getting all upset though, like really upset. I shouldn't have said that stuff. Is that what's really been bothering you?"
Santana said nothing as Brittany slid over to her on the bed, her body language tense but nodded slightly, not trusting herself to speak.
"Okay, let's stop talking about this because I can tell it's hurting you badly. Come here," Brittany wrapped her arms around her shoulders. "I know it's a really sensitive topic. Santana, I would never have cheated on you. Ever. No one makes me feel the way you do. Plus no one would ever be able to turn me on and make me… you know like you do in the bedroom. Besides, I'm totally in love with you. I don't want some guy or girl. I only want you."
Brittany telling her that no one else would be able to satisfy her sure did wonders for her ego and she melted at all of the other sweet things.
"Aw, Britt."
"I don't know how many times I need to tell you that I love you, San, but I'm willing to tell you a million more times if that's what it takes."
Santana wrapped her arms around Brittany's waist, urging her to lay back on the bed and kissing her deeply. She kept sliding her lips against the blonde's, licking and then nipping her lower lip. Brittany began to kiss her back but then pushed on her shoulder slightly. Santana whined a little in the back of her throat in frustration, confused by why she was stopping her.
Brittany held up her pink nails to show her.
"Wait, the polish hasn't dried yet."
"I don't care," Santana grunted, smiling at the girl's cuteness and leaning in to kiss her roughly again. "You just lay back and let me do all the work, Babe. This is about you."
Brittany wasn't going to argue with that as she felt heat spreading from the top of her head right down to her toes, a flush coming over her body as Santana began to lick and kiss all the sensitive spots on her neck. Her toes curled when Santana began to touch and play with her breasts, sucking in a quick breath and yelping slightly. It felt amazing but it was also a little intense.
"Ow, San. Gentle. They're so tender right now."
"Sorry, Babe." Santana kissed the swell of her breast apologetically and all other thoughts left Brittany's head when she began to lick her nipple gently, getting her lips around it as her hand gently cupped the fullness. She arched her back, pushing her chest into Santana's hands eagerly and whimpering.
Santana sprawled out on her back, feeling very satisfied when they were done and proud of herself, several orgasms for both of them later. Brittany rested her head on her chest, tracing patterns on the girl's skin and humming in appreciation as she nuzzled against her.
"I want to be with you, Britt. I want to be more than just your lover behind the scenes like what we were before or your, I don't know, baby mama. I can't take it anymore. Can we try this again officially?"
Brittany just about melted when she heard this and her eyes just about sparkled.
"I'd love that. I'd love to be your girlfriend."
"Can we tell people? I just want them to know you're with me. I want to show you off. Besides, I just can't be totally blasé and chill about those dumb rumours. I know it's stupid but it really bothers me a lot when they think someone else got you pregnant or that you cheated on me."
Brittany shook her head, stroking Santana's cheek reassuringly and gazing into her dark eyes.
"It's not stupid. You're in love with me, so of course you don't want them to think I'm pregnant with someone else's baby. Besides, that stuff bothers me too because of course I want to tell them he's your baby. I just don't let it get to me because they already have all kinds of warped ideas about us. All that matters is that you and I, plus the people we love know the truth. This is just our private, special thing that's just between us."
Santana thought what Brittany was saying made a lot of sense on a rational level but it was difficult to control her heated emotions.
"I guess you're right."
"You know, if it really bothers you, we could make something up. We could tell them it's still our baby, you know, like the way we would have had a baby with science if magic hadn't been possible. Everyone knows Rachel has two dads, so maybe they could accept us being two moms too, even if we're so young."
"Maybe. I don't know."
Santana didn't know why but she also didn't feel comfortable telling people that Brittany and herself had a baby through other means either. It just felt weird saying it when it wasn't true. Brittany sensed that her girlfriend wasn't totally satisfied with that idea either.
"Or... we can just tell them the truth then and they can choose to believe it or not believe it."
"Hm, I don't know, Babe. We'll think of something, Britt."
Santana thought it was adorable when Brittany began to yawn, barely able to keep her eyes open. The Latina curled up around her body, pulling her close. Brittany groaned in appreciation as she felt the darker-haired girl's crotch pressed against her ass, her chest pushed against her back.
"Mm, Babe you feel so warm and good. Sorry, I'm really exhausted. I guess you wore me out."
"That's okay. You're literally creating a new life in there and if he's anything like me, he's probably using up a lot of your energy. You need your rest." Santana kept her arms wrapped around the girl's waist and flattened her palms against her lover's stomach, enjoying the feeling of Brittany's baby bump.
She knew Brittany was so tactile and always was soothed by the feeling of Santana's warm skin against her, especially now that she was pregnant. She told Santana it made her feel safe. She snuggled closer to the girl, pulling the sheets over them both and nuzzling into her neck as she continued to stroke her belly softly.
