Chapter 35 Keys

Moana, Maui, Ruby, and Chelsea headed back to the clearing where the Bad Guys and Punch Monkeys had made their ways down. The Punch Monkeys looked at the four heroes and chirped a few times and Webs translated.
"Is the Spiny Mandrilla no more?" Asked Webs.
"Yes." Said Ruby.
The Punch Monkeys cheered with both gratitude and relief that the monster tyrant was no more and that they could live in peace.
"Can they lead us to the Spiny Mandrilla's lair?" Asked Maui looking at Webs.
Webs asked the Punch Monkeys the question in their language and a few Punch Monkeys nodded and they lead the group through the tunnel and down a few pathways, until they came across a large chamber with large bones and peeled fruits scattered about. The group looked around for the key, until they spotted something shiny on a ledge up above. Maui changed into a hawk and got the object revealing it to be a silver key that resembled a tentacle.
"We got the key." Said Wolf with a grin.
"But Gutt and his crew still have the first one." Said Moana.
"Not exactly." Said Snake as he pulled off his hat and revealed the gold key sitting on his head.
"The key!" Exclaimed Chelsea.
"But how is it here?" Asked Moana.
"I'm good at making forgeries." Said Webs with a smirk.
"If we have the key then Gutt and his crew have a fake." Said Ruby.
"Exactly." Said Webs.
"Nice." Said Maui.
"Now we got both keys next is stop is the Instrument of Destruction." Said Wolf.
"So where exactly is the Instrument of Destruction?" Asked Moana.
"I guess will let you know. The Instrument of Destruction is in a hidden temple in a place known as the Garden of Eyes." Said Wolf.
"The Garden of Eyes?" Asked Ruby.
"The Garden of Eyes is both a place and a monster. One part plant one part sea monster. It is said that the Garden of Eyes has incredible physical strength and mental powers over the mind. Once you make eye contact with the eyes your mind under it's influence." Said Wolf.
"Sounds fun." Said Maui.
"You have a plan to get past the Garden of Eyes?" Asked Chelsea.
"We're working on it." Said Snake.
"Don't worry with your help, will figure something out." Said Wolf.
"Well let's get on with this quest." Said Maui.
The group headed to their boats and set sail to the Garden of Eyes.
Meanwhile Gutt and his allies along with Mauro's crews had returned to Gutt and Dave's ship. Gutt's injuries were being tended to and though his psychical wounds would recover the wounds to his pride were much deeper and would not so easily heal. The defeat at Maui's hands really angered Gutt. Mauro and Squint were inspecting the key they had gotten from Webs. The duo looked closely at the key and Mauro noticed something unusual about it. It looked like some of the gold was peeling off a little bit. Mauro reached over and peeled the gold off revealing that the key wasn't really gold, but some kind of rock that was painted gold!
"This is a fake!" Yelled Mauro.
"We've been tricked Captain Gutt!" Yelled Squint.
Gutt marched over to the duo took the fake key and glared at it. He then squeezed it and shattered the fake key to bits. Gutt turned to Dave who was examining the blood of Ruby, Chelsea, and Monstro.
"I want you to create a super potion out of all the blood we got." Said Gutt.
"A potion that could be very dangerous and volatile. What exactly do you plan to do with it?" Said Dave.
"I plan to use it on myself and finally crush those annoying fools once they have the Instrument of Destruction." Said Gutt.
"I'll do it." Said Dave as he turned back to his work.
Gutt then used the magic mirror to contact Tentacular to inform him about what had happened and to get the location of the Instrument of Destruction, so he and his crew could ambush Maui and his allies. Tentacular got the call, told Gutt where to go, and then he told his other allies what was going on.
Elsewhere Umibozo, Iku Turso, and Leviathan were meeting again to discuss recent events.
"According to Gutt's crew, Monstro was defeated by the Mermaid Princess and the Kraken Princess." Said Umibozo.
"And they have both keys to get to where the Instrument of Destruction is." Said Iku Turso.
"They're power is growing. They along with their allies might actually succeed in not only getting the Instrument of Destruction, but also return the heart of Te Fiti and bring peace between the mermaids and the kraken." Said Leviathan.
"We cannot allow that to happen." Said Umibozo.
"Perhaps we should get involved ourselves." Said Leviathan.
"Yes we should get involved. If the conflict between mermaids and kraken is resolved, they will push us and the rest of the monsters back." Said Iku Turso.
"Then it is decided we shall go after Maui and his allies before they return the heart and take it for ourselves." Said Umibozo.
The other monsters agreed.
