Layla sighed impatiently, wallking back and forth around the room. Where was he? Hadn't she told him it was urgent and she needed him to come as quick as possible? Why was he making her wait? She shook her head, hoping that he would arrive soon. She and Jafar had been able to controll Lilly's dreams for a long time now, but she wanted to take it to the next step. She couldn't keep controlling her dreams forever if they wanted her broken...

The door creaked open and Layla spun around hopeful. It was not the man she ad been waiting for but she smiled when Philip stepped inside.

"Any word?" she asked him instantly without greeting him.

"No," Philip answered. "I sent the message like you told me too, but he is not here yet."

Layla nodded, having no doubt that Philip had done what she asked. It wasn't like he had a choice anyway. Philip had been defiant, and still was... But he could not stop being loyal to her. With the hep of her magic, and a little bit of help from Jafar, she had been able to turn her old friend into her own puppet. Completely at her disposal and forced to do anything she wanted him to do. No matter how hard he fought against it...

"I suppose I'll wait..." she sighed dramatically. "Thank you Philip, you can leave now. I'm guessing your wife is waiting, isn't she?"

Aurora, the sweet, naive little princess, remained blissfully unaware of what she was doing to her husband. Even though she used Philip as a puppet, Layla allowed him to go home every now and then to not raise any suspicions. He knew where his loyalties lay anyway. Though, sometimes Layla noticed she was not even fighting that much. As if he wanted to remain loyal to her... Though she knew he wanted to remain loyal to the person he used to know years ago. He apparently was never going to understand that that part of her was gone.

"Are you sure this is a good idea, Layla?' he asked her, not listening to what she told him this time. "It could be dangerous to ask the Shadow Man for hep. And you don't know what he will be asking from you in return."

She rolled her eyes and et out a soft chuckle.

"Still treating me like a little girl, I see..." she said amused. "I'll be fine. I need his helps and what happens would be none of your concern either way, now would it? I am surprised you don't want me to do something dangerous that, if ending badly for me, would set you free... Or do you want to stay with me forever? You're free to tell your wife you're leaving her for another, if you want her to go through so much pain..."

She pouted, pretending to care about Aurora's feelings. Of course, she didn't. Perhaps heartbreak would give her some view about how the word really was, but she knew that Philip would never betray her.

"I'm just trying to help you, Layla," Philip told her, ignoring the taunting and her questions.

But the look in his eyes told her enough. His eyes were narrowed, but he didn't lose eye contact with her. His voice remained calm as always. Layla rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"I don't need your guidance anymore, Philip," she told him. "I can do this on my own and I don't know how long it will take you to realize that, but weather you do or not, it will not change anything."

"Then why are you keeping me here?" Phillip argued.

At this, Layla fell silent for a moment. She had gotten him two years ago, because she wanted to cut ties with her past... But she still ended up keeping him in her life after all. She did not even know why herself.

"Forgive me for interrupting your lovely conversation, but I believe someone summoned me here..."

Layla spun around when she heard a new voice cutting through the room. A tall, slender man was sitting at the table, wearing purple and black garments and a black top head with a skull on it. Doctor Facilier... The man had his feet kicked up and had a sly grin on his face. He looked back at her, as though she had been the one who had made him wait. Layla narrowed her eyes and turned around to Philip again.

"Leave us," she told him, implying their conversation being over now.

Philip gave her one last look, and his eyes shifted towards Facillier for a moment, but he listened to Layla's command, stepping out of the room and closing the door behind him. Now that they were alone, Layla turned around and faced Facilier.

"Took you long enough to get here..." she told him, crossing her arms."Did I not tell you to come as soon as possible?"

"Well of course you did," Facilier answered, his smile not leaving his face. "But I have more than one client, little lady. You can't expect me to drop everything and come rushing towards everyone who sends me a message."

Layla narrowed her eyes, walking or to the table without saying anything about his statement. She couldn't really disagree with what he said, but she didn't have time to admit and be taunted for it. She had better things to do than to argue after all.

"I summoned you here because I need to be able to control someone's mind," she told him, getting straight to the point. "I have been able to enter her dreams, but I need more than that. I need to be able to enter her mind. To be that little voice in the back of her mind and feed on her insecurities." She leaned forward over the table, looking at the man who now had a more serious look on his face. "I know you are able to deal in dark magic and contro the shadows..."

"You want to control someone's mind?" Facilier asked her, clearly intrigued by her story.

"Well that would be just the start," Layla answered with a cruel smile. "Can you do it?"

Faciier nodded slowly as he looked at her.

"Mind control can be a dangerous thing..." he told her. "And you might not be able to get what you want. Just because you will be a voice in the girls head, that doesn't mean you can take over. Not if she doesn't let you."

Layla scoffed and shook her head.

"Oh please that won't be a problem. She's naive... Weak... She doesn't know anything about the dangers in this word. I will have her wrapped around my finger in no time, I can promise you that."

Facilier chuckled softly and a smile came back to his face.

"Confident, are you?" he asked. "I have to say, I ike someone who is so confident in themselves. I could give you something that can help you control her mind or at least enter it. You would be able to see what she can, and be that little voice in the back of her mind, as you said. But I have to warn you, it won't be cheap. If you want me to help you... Perhaps there is something you can do to help me."

Layla narrowed her eyes as he spoke, getting impatient with him. Why didn't people just get straight to the point instead of trying to make suspense or riddles? She had better things to do than play their stupid mind games.

"What do you want?" she asked him with a snap. "I'll do it. Just tell me and give me what I need."

Facilier's smile turned into a grin again.

"I see you haven't learned how to be patient..." he said. "Very well. I need someone to set my own plan in motion. I need you to kidnap her for me and bring her to me."

Layla scoffed, looking at him as though she thought he was joking, but he seemed to be very serious about it. "Is that all?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. "You need me to kidnap someone for you. You can't do that yourself?"

"I could," Faciier said with a light shrug. "But I have other things to do. Since you think it's so easy, I would assume it won't be so hard for you to agree with this deal?"

Laylla smiled. He was giving her something powerful for just a simple kidnapping. This would be easier than she had thought. As Facilier held out his hand she quickly grabbed it to sea the deal between them. Her eyes widened as she felt his magic vibrating through her body. Her head started to glow a vibrant purple and it fet warm and cod at the same time. Then, finally everything disappeared. She took a deep breath and smiled. The deal was sealed. All she had to do now was give him what he needed.

"Alright... So who is this person that I need to get for you?" she asked him curiously.

Facilier waved his hand, conjuring up an image. A young girl with short blond hair was shown. She had a high pitched voice and was talking to someone about something.

"Oh you and Naveen just have to come and visit some more Tia! You almost never have time!"

Layla cringed by hearing her annoying voice, but she couldn't help to laugh either.

"Really?" she asked, turning to Facilier. "Her? You want me to get that girl? She doesn't even seem like a little bit of a challenge."

"Well, then I suppose I will see you with her soon," Facilier said, unbothered by her attitude. "I will await your arrival."

Smoke raised up around him and then suddenly he was gone, as if he hadn't been there in the first pace. Layla looked at the place he had been sitting. Oh this was going to be fun... The girl he had shown her didn't seem like a challenge at all. She looked even more naive than Lily was herself. She really could not find any reason this could go wrong in any way.

"Scheming again, are you?"

Layla turned around to face Jafar with a faint, but confident smile.

"We need to break her," she said with a light shrug. "This will make it a lot easier if we have his help, and it's easy given what I have to do for him."

Jafar chuckled softy, slowly placing a hand under her chin and lifting her head. He looked at her with a mix of affection and possessiveness.

"Confident as always..." he softly said. "That's what I've always liked about you. But be careful... Your confidence can get you into trouble along the way. Especially when you don't know what kind of deal you are making."

Layla rolled her eyes.

"Oh please, this is the easiest deal I have ever made. That girl doesn't seem like a challenge and I will have her back to him in no time. You know I can do this."

"Oh of course I know," Jafar softly said, stroking her cheek. "You've always known what you were doing." He kissed her softly, then pulled back again. "What about the girl? What do you make of her?"

Layla shrugged again as she thought about it.

"She doesn't seem like much of a challenge," she said. "But I'd say we shouldn't underestimate her. You never know what she might have up her sleeve. But she won't be able to overthrow me... Not again at least. I will destroy her before she can."

"Why not get her here?" Jafar suggested. "I would love to meat the little girl."

As Layla looked at him, she could see a familiar look on his face. Possessiveness. Something that had always lingered in his eyes whenever he looked at at her. But this time, it was meant for Lily.

"Why is she that important to you?" she asked, crossing her arms. "I thought you got rid of her... Or did you know she wasn't fully gone?"

Jafar's laugh echoed through the room.

"Oh Layla..." He softly said, cupping her cheek. "Do you really think I would keep something like that a secret from you? Come now... I didn't know. But now that she is still out there, why not make use of her? She could be a powerful puppet."

Layla felt a shiver go down her spine as he inched closer, but she smiled. She liked it... His power, and his dominance. He wasn't like other villains. He knew what he wanted and he wasn't afraid to do whatever it took to get it. He knew her worth. He had known from the beginning...

"A puppet?" she asked. "Is my power not enough to help you through your plan?"

Jafar leaned forward, their faces now almost touching.

"You are more powerful than most of them Layla, you know that," he coed softly. "But imagine what you could do if you have her power too? She doesn't know how to control it... But you do."

Layla blinked and a faint smile appeared on her face. Of course... Lily's power would be better off with herself. Where it was supposed to be in the first place.

"I suppose we could get her here," she answered, tilting her head. "We will have her broken and bent to our will soon enough."

Jafar smiled, his eyes having a glint of malice before he leaned in and kissed her again.

"I'll leave you to it, my little shadow," he said as he pulled back.

He then left the room, leaving Layla to her thoughts. Layla smiled and turned to the mirror standing in the corner. With a swift movement of her hand, an image was painted in the mirror. A young girl with dark brown hair and a lilac dress, taking to the person that had been her host for the past few years.

"I have to find out what they mean..." the girl's voice echoed through the room.

Layla touched the mirror and her eyes darkened.

"Go on Lily..." she whispered, as if the girl could hear her. "Go on and find your past... I will be with you every step of the way."

A/N: Hello I am back! I apologize it took me this long to update. But I have found motivation to continue my story again, and I hope this was worth the wait. Let me know what you all think of this. How you you think Lily and Layla are connected and what happened in the past? I would love to hear all your speculations about what will happen in the plot.
Note, I will not take any ideas from the comments. If you guessed right you were lucky, but I have my own idea ;).

What character would you like to see in the story? I can't promise I will use them, but I could find a way to put them in there together with my own favorites, if it fits the story ;).
