It was an early Mother's Day morning, and the Mulder household was buzzing with quiet excitement. Mulder stood in the kitchen with the triplets—Beatrice, Sabrina, and Joanna—each of whom had taken on a specific task for the special occasion.

"Okay, ladies," Mulder whispered, clapping his hands together softly. "Remember, this is for Mom, so no fighting over who gets to carry what, okay?"

The girls nodded solemnly, though their mischievous grins betrayed their excitement.

Beatrice was carefully arranging toast on a plate alongside a small bouquet of daisies she'd picked from the backyard. "Dad, does this look fancy enough?" she asked, tilting her head as she appraised her work.

"Looks perfect, Bea," Mulder assured her, ruffling her hair.

Sabrina, the self-proclaimed chef, was diligently pouring orange juice into a glass. "Not too much, right? Mom always says you don't want to spill when you're carrying it."

"Exactly," Mulder said, smiling at her seriousness.

Joanna was putting the finishing touches on a handmade card. It was decorated with hearts, flowers, and an enthusiastic "We Love You, Mom!" in bright colors.

"Ready?" Mulder asked, glancing at the tray. The toast, scrambled eggs, and orange juice were perfectly arranged, along with the flowers and card.

"Ready!" the girls chorused, each grabbing part of the tray to help carry it upstairs.

They tiptoed down the hallway to Scully's bedroom, stifling giggles as they went. Mulder opened the door quietly, revealing Scully still asleep, her hair tousled on the pillow.

"Okay, on three," Mulder whispered. "One, two... three!"

"Happy Mother's Day!" the girls shouted in unison, rushing to her bedside.

Scully stirred, blinking her eyes open. A smile spread across her face as she saw her daughters and Mulder standing there, beaming with pride.

"Good morning, Mom!" Beatrice said, carefully setting the tray on her lap.

"We made you breakfast!" Sabrina added, climbing onto the bed.

"And I made this for you!" Joanna said, handing her the card with a shy grin.

Scully's heart swelled as she looked at the effort they had put into the surprise. "You all did this for me?" she asked, her voice soft with emotion.

"Of course!" Sabrina said. "You're the best mom ever!"

Mulder leaned against the doorframe, watching the scene with a warm smile. "Told you they had it all under control," he said.

Scully laughed, her eyes glistening. "This is perfect. Thank you, all of you."

She hugged each of the girls, then glanced at the tray. "And breakfast in bed, too? You really outdid yourselves."

Beatrice leaned in. "Dad made sure the eggs weren't burnt this time," she whispered loudly, earning a playful glare from Mulder.

As Scully ate her breakfast, the girls piled onto the bed, chatting excitedly about their plans for the day. Mulder joined them, settling in beside Scully and wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

It wasn't a fancy celebration, but it was perfect in every way that mattered. Surrounded by her family, Scully felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love. It was moments like these that made all the chaos and sleepless nights worthwhile.
