A Terrorist Act Against Wild Pokemon
At two-thirty in the afternoon, Bruce gathered his three Pokemon generals, left the mountain, and once again set foot on the Ace path.
The path toward the race wound and twisted, leading to the foot of the mountain, with dense trees on both sides and countless wild Pokemon hiding within.
This was the Pokemon paradise and also Bruce's paradise.
"Is everyone ready?" Bruce asked, looking around in anticipation.
"Charla!"
Blaziken stood on the left, its eyes sharp and eager to begin.
"Metagross!"
The mature and stable Metagross floated behind Bruce, a head taller than him, its crimson eyes gleaming with expectation.
"Ah~"
Gardevoir remained calmly on the right, her red pupils shining brightly and her white skirt fluttering in the wind.
Next, they were going to do something big.
Seeing the reactions of the three Pokemon, Bruce nodded in satisfaction and then spoke in a deep voice, "Keep track of the time; we need to leave an hour before dusk."
Immediately, he took out his phone and set an alarm.
Then Bruce shouted, "The action starts now!"
As soon as the voice fell, Bruce and the three Pokemon, who had been waiting for a long time, took a step forward and hurried into the dense forest.
Over the next three hours, they would do everything in their power to defeat every wild Pokemon they encountered and gain as much experience as possible.
There would be no room for losses in this operation!
Three minutes later, the first mournful growl echoed from the dense forest sky; it was originally thought to be a flying bird.
And this was just the beginning.
At the top of the mountain,
"Did you hear that just now...? It sounds like a Pokemon gave a miserable growl..." One person looked at the dense forest below the mountain with a strange expression.
"I heard it too." The others also wore strange expressions.
The scene fell silent for a moment, and then someone broke the silence, "It seems like something is wrong with this person right now."
"It's not just something wrong; it's something really bad," someone immediately replied.
"Getting to the Peak at two in the afternoon... it seems there's no precedent for that?"
"No, it was at least 3:30 p.m.," someone recalled and shook their head.
"That's right. What is he planning to do after reaching the summit so early and then running back down?" Someone scratched their chin, confused.
Everyone shook their heads, unsure of Bruce's purpose.
At that moment, a particularly harsh growl echoed from the mountain again, resonating through the air of the dense forest, as if some Pokemon had suffered unimaginable torture.
When everyone heard the sound, they looked at each other.
Everyone had a sense of foreboding, as if something strange was happening.
Time passed slowly, and the mournful growls continued to echo one after another. The faces of everyone were shocked and gradually grew numb.
They vaguely knew what had happened.
Obviously, this was a terrorist operation against wild Pokemon in the Rift.
Every time a growl sounded, it meant a Pokemon had been devastated.
And counting backward, there had been at least several dozen weeks of miserable growls.
At the same time,
On one of the race paths, a slender young man arrived at the closest point to the top of the mountain, with three Pokemon by his side.
A Luxray, a Pangoro, and a Pokemon.
The rear of this Pokemon's body was dark green, its belly light green, and it had three dark green leaves at the end of its tail. It had yellow patterns on its body, like noble royal patterns.
Its long, narrow eyes were blood-red, revealing disdain and giving it an aura of nobility and dominance.
That Pokemon was none other than the popular Serperior.
At that moment, Serperior raised its proud head and looked forward with its noble eyes.
"Let's see if we can be the first to arrive," the young man smiled confidently.
This time, he hadn't spent much time on his Ace path. The three Pokemon worked together to defeat a wild Pokemon blocking the path.
Although it cost them a lot of energy and physical strength, they managed to reach the top in the shortest time possible, ready to set foot on the mountain.
It was barely four in the afternoon, and he was confident enough—he was sure he would be the first to arrive!
Thinking of this, the young man started walking up the mountain with his Pokemon.
"Hey, has someone already arrived this early?" Just as he was climbing the mountain, the staff at the location saw the young man and asked.
Hearing this, the young man smiled faintly at first, then seemed to react. His expression froze as he stared at the staff and asked, "What do you mean?"
The staff shrugged and replied, "Literally, someone arrived before you."
Upon hearing this, the young man shook his head, thinking that no one could be faster than him.
He immediately looked around, only to see a few empty battlefields, and some people near a metal house giving him curious glances.
Other than that, no one else was around.
"Don't look for them, that person isn't here," the staff's voice suddenly echoed in the young man's ears, making him look away.
Then, the staff looked at his watch, nodded slightly, and continued, "That person should have arrived at around two-fifteen."
"How is that possible!" the young man gasped, eyes wide open.
"That's the truth," the staff replied coldly. "Even if you ask others, the answer will be the same."
The young man lowered his gaze, his eyes uncertain. After a while, he suddenly looked up and asked, "Did that person pass the exam and leave the secret realm?"
This time, the staff shook his head and denied it, "No, not yet."
Upon hearing this answer, the young man appeared puzzled, hesitated, and then asked, "What about the others?"
The staff member's face became strange. He pointed to the dense forest below the mountain, his lips moving, "Did you hear the miserable growl in the dense forest along the path you came from?"
The young man thought for a second, then nodded and said, "I heard it."
He originally thought it was just wild Pokémon fighting each other, causing the tragic growls, but it didn't seem to be the case...
The staff member's face became unreadable, his eyes slightly blinking as the noise gradually grew faint, "After the man arrived at the Peak, he realized he only needed to pass the evaluation before dusk, so he went back down the mountain and walked directly into the jungle."
He paused and spoke in a deep voice, "I believe this is some kind of special experience."
"Every time there's a growl, it means a Pokemon has died."
After hearing these words, the young man stood there, stunned, unable to comprehend.
At 5:30 p.m., the sun gradually moved westward, approaching the horizon.
At the top of the mountain, the scene gradually became livelier. Several challengers had reached the top and were battling the staff, the examiners, on the battlefield.
However, in the midst of all this activity, the young man remained silent in a corner, staring at the mountain, unsure of what awaited him.
"Only one more hour left, and the sun will set."
"Shouldn't he be leaving soon?" he murmured quietly.
Finally, after waiting for a long time, a young man with black hair slowly walked up the path toward the top of the mountain. He was tall and imposing, with piercing eyes.
By his side were Blaziken, Metagross, and Gardevoir, exuding a powerful aura, giving everyone a strong sense of pressure.
"Bruce..."
The young man immediately recognized this person, Bruce, the champion of this year's first-year student exchange competition.
As a third-year student at Kunlun University, Julian Westbrook still remembered Bruce vividly, knowing that Bruce was a well-deserved talent.
"It's him... no wonder he arrived before me. Thinking like this, Julian suddenly felt everything made sense.
"It's just that Bruce just finished participating in the first-year student exchange competition, and now he's here for the Ace evaluation. It's really abnormal..." Julian secretly sighed.
Other than the word 'abnormal,' he couldn't think of any other suitable adjectives.
In his first year, he participated in the Ace-level evaluation. As far as he knew, no trainer could do that.
There were even very few trainers who participated in the Ace-level evaluation in their second year, as third and fourth years were the peak periods for Ace evaluations.
Bruce withdrew the three Pokemon that were by his side, shook the dust off his body, and headed straight for the top of the mountain.
He squinted his eyes and noticed a young man in the corner staring at him with fiery eyes. His expression quickly changed.
Bruce remained calm and continued walking, only to see this young man quickly approaching and standing in front of him.
"Introduction, I'm Julian Westbrook from Kunlun University."
"Bruce Bayne, I've admired your name for a long time," Julian said.
Bruce nodded slightly, "Westbrook, I've admired you for a long time."
Then Julian turned to the side, allowing Bruce to head to the battlefield, while he silently followed behind.
He wanted to see how this legendary figure from the first-year student exchange competition, with such powerful Pokemon, could pass the Ace path in such a short amount of time.
Bruce soon arrived outside the battlefield and looked around. At that moment, three challengers were fighting the examiner, and the other examiners that had been encountered once before were sitting by the metal house, chatting casually.
In the corner, there were two challengers who appeared to have failed the evaluation.
When the examiners saw Bruce arrive at the battlefield, they stood up one by one and walked toward him.
"How's it going? Do you want to start the final evaluation now?" A middle-aged man, around forty years old with a calm face, stepped forward and asked in a deep voice.
"Of course," Bruce nodded without hesitation.
"Alright, ready to fight." The middle -aged man nodded slightly, then walked toward the empty battlefield.
For a moment, all the examiners stood outside in silence, ready to witness the next battle.
