Chapter 66 New Mission

Akira was with Miri as she was watching TV and she was having a good time. He smiles at her since seeing that smile make sit worth it.
Sojourn came. "Hey."
"Oh hey." He waves.
"Can I talk to you alone?" She asked.
"Oh sure." He goes.
"Bye." Miri waves.
They went out and Sojourn said: "Well you've been really helping the others out."
"Well, it's what I could do after they let me join." Akira said.
"I can see it. Normally having someone that didn't have the same training would be a bad thing, but your friends helped you out in that." She said.
"I know i'm not the most fit compared to everyone here, but I can work well with the Taros and my suit helps out with that." Akira said. "Plus i've been training with Hamon and my stand."
"Seeing you have this ghost that protects you yeah it's useful." Sojourn said.
Akira smiles since he came a long way after coming here.
"So how's Widow?" She asked.
"Oh Amélie, she's been doing fine. Her body has been getting better, with Miri being close to her. But it helps Amelie since it makes her more open." Akira said.
"Seeing how her wish in the past was having a family it's no wonder. It took one little girl to even change her." Sojourn said.
Akira peeks inside his room to look at Miri.
"Well, Miri is a very special one." Akira said.
He can always trust in her, she's hyper but that's her charm many seem to like about her.
"Genji is still locking his room to make sure she doesn't come in." Sojourn chuckles.
It's always funny seeing the serious ninja be affected by Miri's personality and her actions too.
"Well it's Miri, she's still a kid so I can't fault her too much." Akira said.
"Hey I like kids as the next person but she shouldn't be playing with the things here." Sojourn added.
"Yeah, but she just doesn't know, i'm trying to raise her, it's just hard since I never had kids before." Akira said.
"That I can believe. Also you and Tracer." She grins.
"Well yeah, we're getting along." He said.
"Also other girls it seems." She added.
"Hey, it's not like i'm trying, i'm not like Urataros."
"Got that right!" Momotaros was putting the turtle on a hold to make sure he didn't ruin anything Akira is doing.
Hana was also there glaring at him.
"You better not think of anything." She said.
"Still, the fact that many girls got attracted to your personality makes it interesting." She said.
Akira got nervous with the way she words it.
Sojourn goes to the other side. "Be good big boy." She patted his butt and he yelps.
He got surprised by her reaction and looks around. "Thank god nobody saw that."
"I saw that!" Momotaros said.
"You stay quiet." Akira frowns.
He rubs his head as he didn't want this to happen, he goes to the kitchen to get a drink.
Mei was there having hot chocolate, she was looking at a computer before she noticed Akira.
"Oh hey Akira." She smiles.
"Hey Mei." He said.
He opens the fridge. "So how's your day?"
"I've been doing well. Just doing some research." She shrugs.
"Oh good." He drinks a soda can.
"Say, did Winston told you about any mission?" She asked.
"No, since he still hasn't said anything. It's weird Talon is not doing anything recently. I've seen that liquid bot doing more." Akira said.
"Yeah, it makes me worried that they're planning something big after losing Widowmaker." She said.
"Whatever they're thinking it must be something. Like without her they have to focus on Reaper for her job." Akira said.
He knows Talon enough to know without her they can't do most of they're missions without her sniper skills.
Winston came. "Ah, there you two are."
"Let me guess... New mission." Akira said.
"Yes, I was going to ask you to check the North Pole since theres been some strange signals going on there." He said.
Mei got surprised to hear that. "Really there?"
"Yes, so can you both do it?" He asked.
"Well yeah." Akira finishes his can. "Surprising your asking me to go."
"Just for extra protection, we can never know when they will strike. Mei has the most experience in these kinds of missions." Winston said.
"Is it just us or are we having more?" Akira said.
"Tracer is busy along with others, but one more members will see you there." Winston said.
The two looked at each other and wondered who he was talking about.
"Well, okay, we can do it." Mei smiles.
"Good, i'll prepare a airship for both of you." He said.
Akira nodded and goes to get his stuff. "Be right back. Also can you watch over Miri?"
Winston nodded since she needs a guardian to look after her.
"Okay let's go Mei." Akira said.
"Right." She nodded.
She closes her computer and goes forward with both of them preparing for this new mission.
"Should be easier than dealing with that shark." Winston commented.
Mei wonders what is there in the north pole that Winston found out, it could be Talon or something else, as new villains are coming and they have to be ready.
Akira felt the same way as Winston sending him there must mean something big must be going on at that place.
Note: Akira interacted with a few character and is going off to a new mission with Mei joining him, what will be there will be revealed later.
