Here it is!
Finally, a worthy opponent, our battle will be legendary!
…
…
I'm pretty sure y'all get the reference.
So lads, this is it, the battle between Naruto and Thor. Hope you guys enjoy it.
Just a heads up though, this is only part one of two. The next chapter shows the second half of the fight
Start:
Recognizing the threat before him, Naruto released all of the gravity seals weighing him down, taking his opponent seriously from the start. The coliseum air thickened with the sudden shift in intensity as the battle commenced.
Thor wasted no time. Mjolnir flung instantly towards the spot where Naruto had just been standing, the hammer cutting through the air with lethal speed. But Naruto was already in motion, his body propelled forward by the sudden release of the seals, enhancing his speed and agility dramatically.
As Naruto landed from his leap, Thor was already upon him, swinging a massive punch towards the blonde in mid-air. Naruto crossed his forearms to block the hit, absorbing the impact with a grunt. The force sent him skidding backwards, dust kicking up from the arena floor.
He barely had a moment to recover when Mjolnir, summoned back to Thor's hand with a snap of his fingers, whizzed at him from behind.
Naruto ducked under the returning hammer, feeling the rush of air as it barely missed his head. Thor closed the distance between them in a blink, bringing Mjolnir overhead in a thunderous arc aimed directly at Naruto.
With a swift roll to the side, he evaded the crushing blow, and as he came up, he delivered a powerful kick to Thor's side. Thor was pushed back only a few feet, his stance barely disturbed by the attack.
Suddenly, Thor's muscles tensed, and his grip on Mjolnir tightened as the hammer began to crackle with intense, electric energy, signaling Thor's shift to a stronger form.
Recognizing the escalation, Naruto steeled himself.
In a blink of an eye, the combatants were within close parameters.
Thor swung Mjolnir with increased force, each strike now trailed by arcs of lightning that scorched the ground and lit the arena with flashes of brilliant light. The increased power forced Naruto onto the defensive, his superior agility the only thing keeping him one step ahead of Thor's thunderous attacks.
The Asgardian deity unleashed a series of powerful swings, each one a testament to his strength and mastery of combat. Naruto ducked, weaved, and leaped, his movements a blur to the onlookers as he narrowly evaded each strike.
Despite his agility, it was clear he was being pushed to his limits, Thor's relentless assault leaving little room for counterattack.
Yet, Naruto found openings. With each dodge, he managed quick jabs and targeted kicks, aiming at strategic points like Thor's liver and joints—vital spots that even gods would feel. But Thor was undeterred, his godly constitution absorbing the blows with little sign of faltering.
In a swift motion that caught Naruto slightly off guard, Thor grabbed him by the arm during a close encounter. With a grunt, the God of Thunder flung Naruto across the arena like a ragdoll. As Naruto sailed through the air, Thor hurled Mjolnir with deadly precision, aiming to end the match with one decisive blow.
Reacting quickly, Naruto summoned a clone mid-air. The clone materialized instantly and shoved Naruto out of the hammer's crushing trajectory, taking the hit instead. The clone burst into a cloud of smoke upon impact with Mjolnir, a testament to the close call Naruto had just survived.
Despite his formidable physical prowess, Naruto was forced to acknowledge the ineffectiveness of his physical capabilities against Thor who was built to handle this kind of damage.
It was an eye-opener for the blonde and he knew that after this match, the first thing he was gonna do when the match was over and he had the time was train his base form even more until he could cause some serious damage with his punches and kicks alone against a beast like Thor.
But until then, he needed to even the odds.
Mjolnir snapped back to Thor's hand with a sound like thunder cracking. The god rushed toward the shinobi with a warrior's bellow, but this time Naruto was quicker.
His intense training over the past months had dramatically honed his chakra control, and in less than a split second, a rasengan formed in his hand. He met Thor's charge head-on, thrusting his hand forward. The moment Mjolnir collided with the swirling chakra of the rasengan, a spectacular clash of power and will erupted.
The force of the impact sent vibrations through the ground, resonating like a bell throughout the coliseum.
Both Naruto and Thor physically exerted themselves, muscles tensed and faces contorted with effort. Despite Naruto's best efforts, Thor's greater physical strength eventually overpowered the rasengan. With a powerful grunt, Thor pushed forward, and Naruto was flung away, hurtling through the air.
Naruto tumbled back but righted himself with a swift roll across the pavement, regaining his footing just in time as Thor, seizing the moment, hurled Mjolnir at him again. This time, Naruto knew he couldn't leap or dodge away in time.
The hammer was too close.
But there was something he could do.
At a moment's notice, Naruto gathered a massive amount of chakra and expelled it forward. "Almighty Push!"
The force of wind chakra that burst forth was nothing short of monumental. It roared across the arena like a furious tempest, a visible wave of power that met and pushed back against the hurling Mjolnir.
But for good measure, Naruto kept up the chakra usage, not letting go and continuously expelling chakra as to stop meant taking Mjolnir right into his chest.
The spectators gasped as the two forces collided.
And then it happened
...
...
...
The wind chakra didn't just meet Mjolnir; it overwhelmed it!
For the first time in the history of their battles, Mjolnir was repelled, sent spiraling away from Naruto by the sheer force of the massive wind chakra he had expelled. The crowd erupted in a mix of shock and awe, witnessing a new piece of history as the legendary hammer lost to a stronger force.
Thor, standing firm and squinting against the gust, watched his hammer get flown back before skidding on the floor with a mixture of surprise and newfound respect.
He couldn't help but let out a hearty laugh, appreciating the sheer power and creativity of his opponent. "Amazing! Simply amazing! Well done!" He bellowed across the field, his voice booming and cheerful despite the reversal.
Naruto, panting lightly from the exertion, allowed himself a brief smile before it faded away.
It sucked, but unfortunately this time, unlike all the Gods he had faced and defeated, he was going to have to power up in order to win his fight against Thor.
The realization didn't weaken his resolve but rather sharpened his focus. He needed to escalate his own tactics if he hoped to stand a chance against the God of thunder's overwhelming might.
With a deep breath, Naruto clapped his hands together, his fingers weaving through signs at blinding speed. In an instant, the arena filled with a sudden burst of smoke, and when it cleared, three hundred clones of Naruto flooded the battlefield, surrounding the Norse God.
Thor barked a laugh, genuinely amused by the tactic. He twirled the now returned Mjolnir in his hand, the movement effortless despite the battle's intensity. "A storm against the sea, eh? Let's see which one prevails!" he declared, his voice booming across the coliseum.
The battle between Thor and the Naruto clones was a spectacle of chaos and power. Thor swung Mjolnir with incredible precision, each strike generating a gust of wind that sent clones flying.
As Thor unleashed his fury, the coliseum transformed into a battleground of sheer spectacle and chaos. The God of Thunder's movements were a blur of strength and precision.
With each swing of Mjolnir, another clone was dispatched—a dramatic upward swing crushing the cheek of a clone, then a swift, arcing strike to the upper right dispelling another. The sound of the hammer colliding with clones was akin to the clash of steel, resonating across the vast arena, each hit echoing like thunder.
The battlefield was littered with Naruto's clones, each engaging Thor in their own way. Some rushed in wielding Rasengans, their spiraling chakra spheres aimed with precision, only to be shattered by Thor's overwhelming counterattacks.
Others hurled kunais, which streaked through the air like deadly rain, attempting to find chinks in the Asgardian's armor. Meanwhile, numerous clones charged in masses, hoping sheer numbers would overwhelm the deity.
Yet, Thor was unyielding.
With a dismissive kick, he sent a group of clones tumbling, their forms vanishing into puffs of smoke upon impact. A backhanded swipe removed another audacious clone from behind, attempting to plant a kunai in his back. His prowess in battle was undeniable, each move methodical and devastating.
Amidst the fray, Thor's form suddenly erupted in a burst of pure spherical lightning, an awe-inspiring display of power that annihilated at least a hundred clones instantaneously. The spectacle drew gasps and awed murmurs from the spectators. The intensity of the lightning left a scorched mark on the earth, and the air tingled with the residue of Thor's electric fury.
The numbers of Naruto's clones were rapidly dwindling under Thor's relentless onslaught.
Seizing another opportunity, Thor aimed Mjolnir at a large group of charging clones. From the hammer's tip, lightning burst forth like an elemental cannon, obliterating the group in a dazzling explosion of light and power. The clones popped out of existence, one after another, their efforts futile against the might of the thunder god.
Meanwhile, hidden among the remnants of his army, the original Naruto lay in wait. Three other clones were strategically placed around the coliseum, unseen by Thor. They sat in meditative poses, quickly gathering natural chakra.
An idea that once came to the shinobi was, what if, instead of charging each clone a hundred percent, he could instead have let's say ten clones each gathering about ten percent of nature chakra that he'd normally gather.
Dispelling those clones at once, each of the clones who gathered ten percent of nature energy that he usually would collect would fuel him, the original, to a hundred percent.
The concept itself was pretty simple, but what made it great was that it allowed for quick access to sage mode when the situation demanded it, like this for example.
As Thor continued his onslaught, Naruto needed sage mode desperately to turn the tide. (the Kyuubi's chakra was also an option but Naruto would rather not use it unless he really had to)
And rather than have a clone fully collect the sage chakra, which would cost some time, and that was something he could not afford in a battle, he could instead just have three clones gather about one-fourth of natural chakra each while he, the original, would gather the last quarter and then simultaneously dispel the three clones to be at full reserve.
A simple yet brilliant concept.
As the battle raged, orange pigments began forming around Naruto's eyes, his muscles expanding and contracting with the force of nature. The transformation was subtle yet profound. His eyes snapped open, the blue replaced by a vibrant yellow, horizontal slits appearing, signaling his transition into Sage Mode.
Back in the heart of the battlefield, Thor continued to battle the remaining clones, unaware of the silent, potent transformation Naruto was undergoing.
Just as he finished another powerful swing of Mjolnir, a punch, infused with the colossal force of nature, sunk deep into his belly. The impact was so unexpected and forceful that Thor could only gasp in pain before his form was sent hurtling back across the coliseum.
The crowd collectively gasped, stunned by the sudden turn of events. There, in the middle of where Thor once stood, was the original Naruto.
As the dust settled, and silence fell over the crowd, Naruto dispelled all his clones with a single motion. Chakra flowed back to him, converging into his form, enhancing his strength further.
In the arena now, only two figures remained—Naruto and Thor.
Thor, visibly surprised, wiped at his lips, his fingers coming away with blood. It was a rare sight—the God of Thunder, wounded, his blood a stark, vivid red against his hand. The crowd, so used to Thor's invincibility, murmured in disbelief and awe.
Naruto stood firm, his breathing steady, his eyes locked on Thor. The air between them crackled with the residue of their powers. The fight was far from over, but a new respect had formed, an acknowledgment of each other's strength and determination.
The Norse God grinned despite the pain as he stood back to full height.
"Naruto, you have stirred the warrior's spirit within me! Let's give these fine folks a clash to remember—a duel worthy of warriors!" His declaration rallied the crowd, their response a thunderous cheer that reverberated through the arena.
With the crowd's roar spurring him on, Thor wasted no time. He smashed Mjolnir into the ground with such force that the very earth trembled. The coliseum floor cracked, sending tremors that threatened to throw Naruto off balance. Quickly, Naruto channeled chakra into his feet, anchoring himself firmly against the quaking ground.
In the blink of an eye, Thor closed the distance, his approach almost a blur. The hammer was mere meters away, arcing through the air directly towards Naruto. But in a fluid, swift motion, Naruto reacted.
Grip.
His hand shot out, clasping Thor's wrist tightly. The entire coliseum fell silent, the audience watching wide-eyed. In this frozen moment, Naruto's strength halted Thor's powerful swing, the head of Mjolnir stopping just inches from his face.
Then, in a movement that seemed to defy the natural order, Thor's feet began to leave the ground. As if in slow motion, yet happening in less than a second, Thor's body tilted backward, no longer anchored by gravity but by Naruto's overpowering force.
With a Herculean effort, Naruto lifted the Asgardian overhead, his muscles straining under the god's weight.
The crowd was utterly silent, each spectator holding their breath as they witnessed the spectacle. With a final heave, Naruto slammed Thor into the coliseum pavement. The impact resonated like a clap of thunder, a shockwave rippling outwards and kicking up a cloud of dust and debris.
As Thor was forcefully slammed into the crater, a defiant surge of power emanated from him. In a last-ditch effort to turn the tide, he unleashed a powerful burst of lightning that shot upwards. This lightning bolt, crackling with raw Asgardian might, struck Naruto directly in the chest just as he was poised to deliver a finishing blow.
The impact of the lightning was immense, causing searing pain that arced through Naruto's body, lifting him dozens of meters into the air. His form was violently thrown backward, but with exceptional agility, he managed to right himself mid-air and land gracefully on his feet, despite the lingering pain that clawed at his torso.
Naruto's gaze locked onto Thor who was pulling himself out of the crater, grim determination etched across his features. The sting of the lightning bolt lingered, a painful reminder of Thor's formidable power. Yet, Naruto couldn't help but grin, admiring the god's resilience and fighting spirit.
He raised a hand, channeling a vast amount of chakra. With a focused shout, he formed a giant Rasengan, larger than any he had wielded before. The spiraling blue energy orb pulsed with power, casting an ethereal glow that framed Naruto in a surreal light, enhancing his determined expression.
Across the field, Thor observed the growing energy with a warrior's respect. Rising to the challenge, he let his own form be enveloped by crackling lightning. His body became a beacon of raw power, emitting sparks that danced wildly around him and illuminated the coliseum. The atmosphere was charged, both warriors drawing on their deepest reserves of strength.
With a thunderous roar, Thor threw Mjolnir skyward, the hammer spiraling into the air as he amassed a swirling pool of divine energy in his right fist. Naruto, eyes fixed on the approaching god, charged forward with the massive Rasengan thrust out before him.
Thor, spotting the incoming threat, bellowed, "Divine Crackle!" as he swung his energized fist toward Naruto.
The collision of their powers was cataclysmic. The massive Rasengan met Thor's fist, where dark blue lightning clashed against the swirling vortex of energy. The impact created a stalemate, each force pushing against the other with tremendous power, causing a shockwave that rippled through the arena and threatened the structural integrity of the coliseum itself.
Only ancient and powerful runes prevented the coliseum from falling apart while simultaneously protecting the spectators.
The standstill continued for what seemed like an eternity, the energy crackling and sparking as the two titans struggled for dominance. Spectators had to shield their eyes from the blinding light, their cheers and shouts filling the air, adding to the intensity of the moment.
Finally, the energies became too much to contain.
With a large blast, both Naruto and Thor were sent hurtling to opposite ends of the coliseum, crashing into the walls with tremendous force. The crowd fell silent for a moment, anxious to see the outcome.
…
…
Slowly, both combatants rose, their bodies showing signs of fatigue but their spirits unbroken.
They charged towards each other once more, meeting in the center of the arena.
The clash of fists resumed with increased ferocity. Naruto and Thor exchanged blows in rapid succession—punch for punch, kick for kick. Thor landed a brutal uppercut that sent Naruto reeling upward, a trail of blood following in his wake.
But Naruto, driven by sheer will, twisted in mid-air and launched himself back at Thor. He dodged a vicious cross from the god and landed a solid hook to Thor's stomach, causing Thor to stagger backward, gasping for air.
The momentum was relentless. As Thor attempted to regain his footing, Mjolnir, returning to his call, flew towards him. Naruto, sensing the impending threat, launched off the ground, narrowly avoiding the hammer as it whizzed past him. In a fluid motion, he positioned himself, crouched right by Thor's side.
And Thor, Mjolnir in hand, swung horizontally in an attempt to bat Naruto away only for the blonde in question to leap up powerfully, evading the deathly blow while simultaneously raising his knee to then crash it right into the behemoth's jaw.
The impact sent the Norse God reeling, his vision blurring as stars exploded before his eyes. Taking advantage of the disorientation, Naruto delivered a powerful kick while still mid-air, sending Thor skidding across the ground.
Naruto wasted no time in pressing his advantage. With a sharp clap of his hands, he summoned three clones that popped into existence with a burst of smoke. Without hesitation, they charged at the God of Thunder, kunais drawn out, their movements synchronized and determined.
Yet it was a fruitless endeavor. The God of thunder was far from defeated.
Gathering his wits and channeling his divine energy, Thor unleashed a massive burst of electricity. The air crackled with raw power as the electric surge swept across the arena like a scythe. The clones, caught in the devastating arc, were pierced through, their forms disintegrating from the inside out. The coliseum shook from the burst of power, a testament to Thor's wrath and might.
But Naruto was already executing his next move. Utilizing the distraction provided by his clones, he had maneuvered stealthily behind Thor. The god's surprise was evident as he felt Naruto's presence too late.
Naruto's arms swiftly encircled Thor's waist—a grip of iron—and with a deep bend of his knees, his muscles visibly straining, he executed a flawless German Supplex. Lifting the Asgardian god high, Naruto then slammed Thor backward into the ground with a thunderous impact that echoed around the arena.
The move was met with cheers and gasps from the spectators, a mixture of shock and awe filling the coliseum as they witnessed the shinobi's incredible display of strength and technique.
Despite the crushing blow, Thor's resilience as a warrior of Asgard shone through. He reacted swiftly, not giving Naruto a moment to capitalize on the maneuver. With a grimace of effort and pain, Thor managed to swing Mjolnir with tremendous force while still on the ground.
The hammer connected solidly with Naruto's side, the impact like an explosion of force, rocketing Naruto away from him.
Naruto was sent tumbling across the coliseum floor, his body rolling uncontrollably before coming to a harsh stop.
Everyone winced collectively, feeling the weight of the blow that had just been dealt. Naruto lay there for a moment, catching his breath, the pain from the hit coursing through his body like wildfire.
'Damn.' Naruto mentally swore. 'That fucking hurt. Owwww!'
Meanwhile, Thor slowly pushed himself back up, using Mjolnir as a support. As he stood, he withheld a pained grunt, his body undoubtedly suffering from the earlier Supplex along with the accumulating beating.
Despite this, his eyes burned with an unquenched fighting spirit, his gaze fixed on Naruto with a mix of respect and determination. Naruto, pushing through the pain, swiftly regained his footing. He stood up, dusting himself off, his eyes never leaving Thor.
Raising a hand, Thor beckoned Naruto forward with a deliberate curl of his fingers, a universal challenge that sparked anticipation in the eyes of all who watched. His expression was charged with the thrill of the impending clash, his eyes gleaming with a warrior's zeal.
Naruto, recognizing the silent challenge, responded with a defiant smirk.
In a fluid motion, he drew a kunai and hurled it with lethal precision. The kunai sliced through the air, its speed rivaling that of a bullet, aimed directly at Thor's head. With the calmness of a seasoned warrior, Thor effortlessly tilted his head, allowing the kunai to pass by harmlessly.
In the very next instant, Thor brought Mjolnir down with a thunderous crash and clapped his hands together. The sound was sharp, reverberating like a clap of thunder that shook the coliseum to its core.
From his palms erupted a cataclysmic shockwave of lightning, a devastating tempest of dark blue energy that tore through the arena. The bolts ripped across the ground, their raw power shredding the very earth, sending tremors that threatened even the spectators in the high stands, who recoiled in awe and fear.
Reacting swiftly, Naruto launched himself high into the sky, narrowly escaping the deadly electrical onslaught.
At the peak of his ascent, he summoned a dozen clones, each materializing with an eerie precision. Together, they orchestrated a spectacular display of power. Every clone, including Naruto, raised their hands, each channeling a Rasengan that only grew larger and larger.
Soon enough, each individual sphere was comparable to a mammoth. Large, deadly, and awe-strikingly beautiful.
The sight was akin to summoning multiple blue suns into the arena, each orb of chakra pulsing with immense energy that cast a surreal glow over the entire coliseum. The combined energy from the Rasengans illuminated the night, casting dramatic shadows and painting the arena with the light of impending destruction.
Below, Thor watched the display with a broad grin, the sight of the formidable challenge igniting a fire within him. "Impressive, Naruto!" he bellowed, his voice booming over the din of crackling energy.
As he spoke, his form surged once more with divine energy, lightning wreathing his body in a display of divine wrath. The energy crackled around him, each flash intensifying the dark sapphire glow of his eyes.
Reaching down, he grasped Mjolnir, the hammer feeling almost alive with power as he began to spin it rapidly, building momentum that seemed to draw the very forces of nature to him.
Thor's aura expanded, enveloping him in a divine state that flooded all of Asgard with its intensity.
The power wave was intense, surging like an unforeseen tsunami wave that threatened to drown a live city.
"Thunder Cataclysm!" He roared, his voice echoing like the rumble of the storm itself. Mjolnir swung with cataclysmic force, releasing a colossal wave of thunderous energy. It spiraled outward like a maelstrom, a potent force that seemed destined to reshape the very landscape.
Above, Naruto and his clones, their massive Rasengans poised to strike, descended like avenging angels. "Massive Rasengan Barrage!" Naruto yelled, each clone directing their swirling spheres of blue energy downward. The sight was breathtaking and terrifying, each Rasengan threatening to obliterate the coliseum with its sheer force.
The two colossal powers met midway with an apocalyptic clash. Thor's thunderous wave collided with the barrage of massive Rasengans, resulting in a blinding explosion of light and power that engulfed the arena. The impact radiated outward in a cataclysmic wave, turning everything momentarily white.
Shockwaves emanated, so powerful that it literally blew everyone and everything away, forcing spectators to cry out as a torrential wind whipped through the stands, debris and dust swirling in the tumultuous aftermath as they were sent flying away from the magnitude of the resultant explosion.
End.
A spectacular chapter if I do say so myself. My bad for ending this in a cliffhanger, but I saw no better way to end the chapter than like this.
We'll see what happens in the next chapter!
This is perhaps the best fight scene I have written yet in not just this story, but all my stories.
Though the fight itself isn't done as we'll see the continuation next chapter!
I do hope you all liked it, writing fight scenes isn't my strong suit but I like to think I'm getting better at it.
More Chapters are posted on my p.a.t.r.e.o.n Feel free to check it out lads, here's the link
