A Celestial Barbeque

Lucifer climbed out of the car and walked around to open the car for Chloe and Trixie,as they got out Lucifer looked out across the park.

"Why are we doing this darling?". He asked in an exasperated tone.

"First you need to be here otherwise they'll think you're afraid and second Linda is here with Charlie and Amenadiel so we should be here to support them". She answered, understanding why he was asking.

They could see where the barbeque was being held so they started walking in that direction but Chloe noticed Lucifer slowing down the closer they got.

"Lucifer, remember we're with you".Chloe assured him.

He sighed and resumed his usual pace,and took Chloe's hand as they walked Trixie was walking with her mom but turned to Lucifer.

"Are any of your family nice Lucifer?". She asked him.

"Well you know Amenadiel and Azrael are nice although she may not be there as she's normally busy". Lucifer answered her.

They finally got to the area that Lucifers family had taken over,they all saw him and went quiet.

Lucifer tried to ignore them,Chloe saw Linda and walked to them where they exchanged some pleasantries but both Chloe and Linda could see Lucifer beginning to withdraw into himself.

Chloe hated to see Lucifer like this,a shadow of the man she loved.

"Sorry Linda but I think the three of us should go,I know I said we'd be here for moral support". She began but Linda interrupted her.

"Yeah you should I didn't expect him to react like this". She told Chloe.

Before they could even get up to leave they saw Michael walking towards them with a smirk on his face.

"Well well well the wayward unwanted one has decided to show his face". He taunted and many of his siblings sniggered.

"I'm surprised you even bothered,none of us want you here so why don't you just leave". Before Lucifer could reply Chloe stepped up and slapped Michael in the face.

"Don't you dare, you're the one that came to Earth and tried ruining everything Lucifer had built for himself, and when that didn't work you kidnapped me and while you had me locked away you threatened to harm Trixie!!!". She shouted.

She noticed some of the siblings looking uncomfortable at what she said.

"Yeah that's what he did but looking at you all,you knew and still did nothing". She continued.

"That will be enough Chloe Decker". A voice said calmly as she saw their father walk towards them.

She looked at the being that was actually God a man of colour who bore more of a resemblance to Amenadiel than Lucifer.

"Yes do be quiet human". Michael sneered as he took a step toward her.

At this Lucifer stood up and stepped between Chloe and his twin.

"You will not lay a finger on Chloe". He growled and looked around at his other siblings.

Michael laughed at him.

"Do you intend to fight us all by yourself brother?". Michael said condescendingly.

"He won't be alone". Amenadiel said as he stepped beside Lucifer.

"No he won't" said Zadkiel.

"ENOUGH" Shouted God. "There will be no fighting and I asked Samael to come..."God started.

"Don't call him that his name is Lucifer". A small voice piped up.

God looked down at Trixie and smiled.

"My apologies son,I forgot that you no longer go by your given name". he said,now I have to get back to cooking.

God and his children left them alone after that although some of them kept looking over at them quizzically as if they were trying to work something out, perhaps it was the fact that Chloe hadn't let go of his hand or the fact that a little girl had corrected their father in defence of Lucifer their fallen brother.

Amenadiel mingled with his siblings looking genuinely happy to see them while showing off his baby son Charlie,Chloe became aware of a young looking angel walking over,she had an Asian look about her.

"Hey Luc how are you doing,I really didn't expect to see you here". The angel said

"Hello Azrael, let me introduce everyone". Lucifer replied.

As he introduced Azrael to Chloe,Trixie and Linda,Chloe noticed that Lucifer seemed to actually be on friendly terms with her.

She saw two other angels walking over and in the background she could see Michael grinning like a mad man. Lucifer saw them approaching and immediately stiffened.

"Raphael,Raguel to what do we owe the pleasure?". He asked sarcastically

They ignored him completely and went straight to Chloe.

"Why do you associate with the fallen one?. He turned on our father and was deservedly punished for it". They started.

Chloe looked at the two female angels and stood.

"Funnily enough,I'd rather be with Lucifer than associate with the rest of you,oh and he has a name". Chloe turned away from them and took Lucifer's hand.

"Come on,we should leave the company here is pretty damn poor if you ask me". She said to him.

Raguel stood and blocked their way.

"He got the punishment he deserved". She told Chloe.

Lucifer snapped, suddenly it wasn't the fallen angel standing there it was the charred,flailed skinned Devil stood in front of them.

"I DESERVED THIS DID I, FOR DARING TO QUESTION DAD". He started shouting his siblings looked in horror at him.

"HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR WING BONES SHATTERED? WELL I HAVE AND I REMEMBER EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO DID IT WHILE I BEGGED YOU ALL FOR MERCY".

God had started to make his way over but Lucifer wasn't finished.

"AND THEN AFTER YOU'D ALL TAKEN AWAY MY ABILITY TO FLY,YOU ALL STOOD BY AND WATCHED AS MICHAEL THREW ME OUT. I FELL AND FELL AND DIDN'T STOP UNTIL I HIT HELL AND PLUNGED INTO ONE OF THE FIRE PITS".

Raguel stepped back, she was suddenly afraid of her brother seeing the rage. She had been one of those that had helped break his wings believing it was justified. Michael had insisted that it was deserved.

Chloe at this point stood in front of him to calm him and when she placed her hand on his cheek the angel was suddenly back.

He carried on but with a sense of calm.

"I burned for centuries because I didn't have the strength to climb out,you'll never know the agony you all put me through and I'll never forgive any of you". The last was said as he looked at his father.

"Come on Lucifer,we should go". Chloe and Trixie walked with him as they began to leave.

God tried to say something when Chloe turned to him.

"You're supposed to be all seeing and yet you allowed that to happen to one of your children,what sort of parent does that to their child?". Chloe turned and walked away holding Lucifer's hand while the celestials stood and watched.
