Dick Grayson worked with his family as an acrobat, but trained by Bruce after his parents were killed. Jason is a street rat with a temper, trained by him, became a second Robin, and revived by the Lazarus Pit and became Red Hood. Barbara learned from her father in self-defense and extends further training by Bruce. Tim became the third Red Robin because of his intellects and grow up to become as Red Robin. Read the DC Comics and get it right, they're martial artists and crime fighters, not assassins! There's a difference!
Hero Provisional Exam Part 2
While the first Hero Provisional License Exam continues, Ms. Joke, Aizawa, Tai, and Mirko were watching the students from different academies going all out by throwing the rubber balls, but most of the students are using their Quirks for the advantage to get to the next round and fighting each other at the same time. It didn't surprise Tai because he mostly trained them in combat and Aizawa helps him out. Mirko, however, didn't like it one bit, mostly because she does her solo career as a vigilante and a Pro Hero in her time.
"Wow, it's like they're a real team." Mirko said sarcastically with a scoff. "That's pretty cowardly of them."
"Many of them have proven their arrogance they can pass the exam, without realizing the mistakes." Tai said in a disappointed tone.
"Hey, Eraser, I'm guessing a lot of our kids will think it's important to finish fast, like the first ones to pass will be ranked as the top." Ms. Joke wondered. "So, they'll want to attack immediately."
"Yes, but teamwork is the key." Aizawa agrees, crossing his arms. "The wise one will cooperate and gather information together. But if they're seduced by the urge to win and rush to get points, they'll end up exposing themselves. And it's all over."
While down at the arena, the students from Class 1-A were being gathered after sending the rubber balls back to the owners. Students from Ketsubutsu Academy were impressed at that after seeing their rivals have improved of the Quirks, but they still have tricks in their sleeves when Makabe grabs hold of the rubber balls and rubbed them together in his hands.
"None of our attacks are landing." Makabe said.
"I guess we shouldn't be surprised U.A. won't go down without a fight." Yo said with a smirk.
"Maybe not, but we have a plan." Makabe states, turning the rubber balls harder as stone thanks to his Quirk called: Stiffening, an ability allowing him to turn any items he can hold on into harder than concrete. "All done!"
Makabe then tosses them to Itejiro, who caught them with ease.
"I'll take it from here. Just try not to be jealous when I end up finishing ahead of the rest of our class, but I'm sure you won't mind since I'll be reducing enemy numbers with this elegant attack." Itejiro said as he then activates his Quirk called: Boomerang, an ability allowing him to throw objects to pinpoint accuracy and change their trajectory, like a boomerang. "Target Lock-On!"
He then tossed the hardened rubber balls into the air, where they plummeted to the ground and race toward the U.A. students with speed.
"Boomerang: Crescent Moon Trajectory" Itejiro said. "My aim is always true, and since these projectiles are coming at them from underground, no one will have time to dodge."
It got the students of U.A. High panicked, but they kept their composure while tried to look for the hardened balls.
"Where are they going to pop out?" Izuku questions when Kyoka sprints in front of him.
"Get back! I'll handle this!" Kyoka exclaimed, plugging her earphone jacks into her new amplifiers. "Amplifier Jack: Heartbeat Distortion"
She slammed the amplifiers onto the ground and unleashed her move by channeling a soundwave towards their opponents. Vibrations were so intense that they shattered the ground. It knocked the Ketsubutsu Academy students off of their feet.
"She's breaking the ground apart!" Itejiro exclaims in shock, but the hardened balls flew into the air after shooting out of the ground. "It won't help!"
Then, it changed directions to Mineta who screams in panic.
"Maximum strength and viscosity!" Mina yelled, rushing over to him, created a gelatinous acid wall that blocked the incoming projectiles. It not only stopped them, but it's strong enough to effortlessly melt the hardened balls. "Protect this perv, Acid Veil!"
"Wow, thanks! That's such a great move!" Mineta thanked her, smirks with a thumbs up.
"It's my defensive special that creates a melty wall." Mina told him with a smirk of her own.
"So, they've been working on Ultimate Moves already." Ms. Joke said, impressed.
"Yes, of course they have." Aizawa said blankly.
"Black Abyss" Tokoyami uses his Dark Shadow to envelop his body, covering the upper half of his body which it got Izuku noticed.
"Cooler name and he's here to say." Izuku muttered.
"Now Dark Shadow: Piercing Twilight Claw" Tokoyami then swiftly extends the Dark Shadow's claw to attack from a distance, targeting Tatami.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Tatami screamed in panic, seeing the rubber balls and the dark claw at her.
However, with her quick reaction, she uses her Quirk to retract her head, body, and arm limbs into her stomach, making the balls pass and the dark claw pass over her.
"Whew! That was close." Tatami said with a sigh of relief thanks to her Quirk called: Telescopic, an ability to retract her head, body, and arm limbs to the stomach, like a turtle and then she un-retract back in its place.
"Interesting, this isn't the Class 1-A from the Sports Festival, it's obvious their training is making them better fighters." Yo said, impressed of the Class 1-A students training.
"...Looks like all of the students are still in a stalemate. Not a single one's passed yet." Mera said through the intercom. "Oh, and don't worry, students; I'll keep you updated with an announcement every time a few students move on to the next round."
'What's our strategy? Everyone will be focusing on protecting their targets, their weak points. It's going to be basically impossible; we'll have to aim well and breakthrough their defenses. Even if we don't know their powers...everyone is holding back right now, watching for their opponents' blind spots and how they use their Quirks, but within the moment, the real fight will begin.' Izuku mentally thought, starting to put two and two together of how the first round of the exam really works, and realizing the students from different academies are holding back.
Yo, however, has over plan on his mind, decided to try and break their defense as he cracked his knuckles.
"Alright!" Yo said, determined.
"At U.A., you look further ahead than other schools." Ms. Joke said with a scoff, aware that U.A. High seemed to be right where her students wanted them. "That's a pretty condescending thing to say, Eraser. Do you have any idea how many kids in this world want to be heroes? Strength of will is far more important than going to a famous school or having renowned. When you think you're the star and look down on others, you'll reveal your weaknesses. That's how you fail."
"I wouldn't count on it." Tai said sternly, earned her attention. "Being a Hero for being famous and power is only half-true in your opinion, but we all have different point of view. You see, both of your academies aren't the only place where heroes are born and same can be said about Quirks. Even those without powers can make up with martial arts, strategies, or inventing gadgets of their own."
Mirko and Ms. Joke knows that he's making a valid point, but Aizawa agrees with him since he's working with the martial artist as a teacher to get the students in U.A. High in shape with different combat styles and physical workout.
"Out of the way! Their defenses are too strong right no." Yo warned them, touching the ground with his hands. "I'll fix that!"
Uraraka gasp, notices something up and it got her widen her eyes in dread.
"Maximum Force: Tremoring Earth" Yo activates his Quirk: Vibrate, an ability to generate vibrations as his palms were glowing and a dome of energy formed on the ground.
The ground cracked as he unleashed an intensely powerful shockwave. However, it pales in comparison to the ground on which the U.A. students walk as a massive explosion sent everyone flying up into the air with an enormous amount of force, everyone screamed and shouted.
"Not good! Everybody run!" Tenya shouts, but his classmates got nowhere to run.
"What the heck is this!" Mina screamed as the battlefield being destroyed.
"His power is insane!" Mineta yelled in panic.
Izuku is losing his balance, screaming down to the ground as the others watched in horror.
"DEKU!" Uraraka screamed.
"We've got Ultimate Moves, too. You didn't think you're the only ones, did you?" Yo said with an arrogant smirk.
But as a result of the Tremoring Earth, a massive dust cloud obscured what was happening inside. Shoto stops when he felt the vibrations and the tremor at the Industrial Area.
"Tremors? An earthquake? No, probably someone's Quirk." Shoto muttered, glances over his shoulder and putting two and two together.
Every students in the arena turned their heads toward the mountain that's collapsing down which made them shocked of that power.
"Who has that kind of power?!"
"And which school are they from?!"
"Don't lose focus! There are enemies everywhere!"
But unknown to them, Inasa is at the top of the building with determined smirk on his face and seeing that he'll be able to take the advantage.
His costume consists of a thick burgundy suit pinned together with yellow buttons. A cape is draped over his shoulders, the collar lined with thick fur, and it almost conceals the jet-like propulsion system attached his back. His left arm is completely concealed by the thick, brown material and his hand sports a large tan glove with air pipes on it, whereas his right arm is completely exposed other than the skintight blue sleeve that appears to be a part of his undersuit. Similar to his left hand, are several tubes around his torso and his ankles, which are used to expel wind power. Plates resembling gas masks pad his knees and left shoulder, and he completes his costume with large brown shoes and a pair of goggles around his head.
However, Mera yawned since neither of the students are making a move nor tried to pass the exam since it's taking a long while.
"Come on...There should be at least 1 or 2 passed by now. Stop buying your time and get this over with." Mera said through the intercom.
Suddenly, the wind was blowing at the students, which gotten their attention, but blows harder and the rubber balls were flown right out of their hands. They turned to see a wind sucking the rubber balls, but Inasa is the one responsible for using his Quirk to conjure the wind.
"I believe it's very important for heroes to have passion!" Inana said with a smirk. "And all of you are fighting with it! Thank you, that's one of my favorite things on earth to see!"
"It's one of Shiketsu High?!"
"What'd he say?! It's hard to hear!"
"Wait, what's he going to do now that he's got our balls?!"
"Please, let me join your fight and show my own passion! I'm so looking forward to it!" Inasa shouts as he then swings his arm down, sending the rubber balls down to them which also causes a massive dust cloud to obscure their eye vision, making them scream while covering their eyes and the rubber balls hit the targets on every students. Mera then heard a loud 'bing' coming from his headset, woke him up.
"Huh...It's about time somebody perked up and passed. WHAAAAAAA! WHAT?! THERE ARE 120 PEOPLE TAKEN DOWN?! A SINGLE PERSON MANAGED TO DO THAT WITH JUST ONE ATTACK!?" Mera yelled in shock with his eyes shot open through the intercom as Inasa stands up with a sigh in satisfaction.
"That's the stuff, I won!" Inasa declared with his fist clenching.
"That actually surprised me so much that I'm awake." Mera proclaimed. "I assume we'll see a lot of people passing from now on. Everyone, let's get this out of the way so I can take a break. Good? Good."
Then, Izuku slowly sat up since he was lucky that the ground isn't deep, but still feeling hurt while groaning in pain.
'What a Quirk...Although, it seems like it would be hard to use in the city.' Izuku mentally thought, then noticed he's being separated from his classmates thanks to Yo's Quirk. 'Oh no, we've been split up! This is what Ketsubutsu was planning the entire time? I've got to find everyone, or at least somebody seen. If I'm alone, I'm done for. The other schools have had so much more time to work together on learning make decisions in battle, we're behind by a whole years of training. Even with everything experienced.'
Izuku then remembered Aizawa mentioned about Inasa being in the same year as him and his classmates and had the top for the recommendations at U.A. High, but turned it down and went to Shiketsu Academy.
'If he had the top score for those with recommendations, then he must be better than Todoroki.' Izuku mentally thought, then remembered Yo wanted to do his best to learn from the students at U.A. High and proved himself by using his Quirk to create shockwaves at the students. 'These are strong students from all over the country. I don't know why, but I'm getting pretty excited about this.'
However, his thoughts were interrupted when Camie rushing after him, leaps over him by grabbing his shoulder and using a handstand after throwing the rubber ball at the target which made Izuku caught off guard.
'What?! This girl came out of nowhere!?' Izuku mentally exclaims, glances over his shoulder as Camie lands on the ground.
Her costume consists of a simple black catsuit with blending patterned line and a zipper running down the middle, left slightly down to reveal her cleavage. She wears a white cuff around her wrists and white heeled knee-high boots, patterned with gray lines, as well as a loose black collar lined with metallic plates.
"Tag you're it. Not smart, staring off into space, but what's really weird is that you're in trouble and still smile." Camie told him, looking at Izuku with a smirk of her own.
'I've seen her, she's from Shiketsu High School!' Izuku mentally thought with a serious look as Camie giggled and stands up.
"You couldn't be cooler." Camie stated, which made Izuku smirks while sweating a little.
Meanwhile, Uraraka was able to recover from that attack, but got separated from her classmates like the others.
'Wow, that was super intense someone could've even died in that attack! If I call out to the others, I'll just become a target for the rest of the schools.' Uraraka mentally thought, rubbing her head while stands up. 'My classmates shouldn't be too far away though. I need to find them, otherwise I'll have to fight by myself. In moments like this, you have to be calm and careful. It's time for sneak Uravity.'
After Uraraka surveys the area since the fight is still on, she quietly moves in to find her classmates.
While back with Izuku, Camie spoke to him.
"In fights where a lot of one-on-one combat is expected, most people tend to go after opponents they've already got a lot on intel on since it's safest. That's why I tracked you down, because there's a good possibility that U.A. students will be ganged up on." Camie explains. "See, I didn't miss the chance to interact with such a prestigious school, and I'm taking quite an interest in you."
"Huh, you sure like to talk." Izuku muttered while remembered about the students from other academies are heading his way. 'Ketsubutsu Academy will show up to fight any second now. This is no time for a leisure chat, but I'm sure she understands that.'
Izuku then activates his Quirk and Camie readies her fighting stance.
'Does she have teammates coming to help her or is she just that overconfident?' Izuku mentally questions, but Camie throws a rock and it made him dodge as she then throws a rubber ball, making him leap in midair. 'Doesn't matter, I've got to make sure I don't get taken out!'
But once Izuku lands on the ground and about to retaliate, it got him gasp when he noticed Camie is no longer here.
'Where'd she go?' Izuku mentally questions, looking for her. 'She couldn't have-'
"All I have to do is tap you with a ball and that makes two!" Camie cuts him off, about to tap him with the rubber ball which made Izuku dodge by leaping back, making her miss her target and lands on the ground.
'No way! Got to counterattack!' Izuku thought, about to throw the rubber ball when he noticed she's gone again. '...Or not...She's gone...'
"Oh, you think my Quirk lets me disappear?" Camie asks from behind, pinning him down to the ground. "That's not it, I was just hiding."
"It wasn't your power at work?" Izuku grunts with a question, glances at her.
"No, that's just a technique. I make my opponents eyes and ears blind and deaf to my presence. To do that, I hold my breath, clear my mind, and disappear, it's simple." Camie explains. "The hardest part is not thinking to be honest."
"Wait, you learned a technique that impressive as Shiketsu?" Izuku asks.
"The trick is to not do your training; it's some kind of chore." Camie answered as she giggled. "I'm glad we're learning about each other. Now my question, why exactly do you want to become a hero? For Honor? Pride? Or is it someone else's sake? I want to know your deepest desires and what scares you."
It made Izuku snap as he activates his Quirk, making Camie got off of him and pushing her while moved away. But just as Izuku was about to retaliate, the fight is interrupted as he and Camie jumps off the ground, avoid being hit by a giant net that came bursting out of the ground. Both Izuku and Camie landed on the ground, turned to the source when Itejiro and his classmates revealed themselves from above.
"Man, Shiketsu is trying to take him down?" Itejiro complains, making Camie pouts with a groan.
She was enjoying her fight with Izuku until they had to show up and cut the fight.
"Not good!" Izuku exclaims, realizing he's in a very bad spot since there's no one to back him up. 'I'm trapped! I couldn't find anyone and now I'm the target! The worst case scenario I thought of earlier is now a reality! This is it, here they come!'
Activating his Full Cowling, Izuku leaps into the air, dodging another more giant net that emerged from the ground. The students of Ketsubutsu Academy threw more rubber balls at Izuku. Izuku dodged as many balls and a giant net along with the giant toy chomper.
"Are you okay?!" The voice of Uraraka shouts which it got his attention when he turned to the left and gasp to see her standing on a cliff.
"Uraraka!" Izuku exclaimed, lands on the ground in front of her.
"Over here, hurry!" Uraraka shouts, extends her hand, but Izuku felt something was off and remembered what Batman (Ethan) told him.
'Looks can be deceiving. Some criminals have the ability to disguise themselves in order to infiltrate and gather information. Assassination is different, use your mind and figure out who to trust.'
'If what Batman said is true, then I need to make sure if it's really her.' Izuku mentally thought while quickly dodge their attacks when the other students appeared.
"Not let them escape!"
Then, one of the students shot a torrent of high-pressured water at 'Uraraka'.
"Hey, watch where you're shooting-"
While 'Uraraka' quickly jumped back from the blast. It got her lost her footing and it caused her to fall off the cliff. It got Izuku gasp, but now beginning to realize that it's not her because the real Uraraka trained herself to extend her power along with her combat prowess, and remembered about her Quirk that can make herself float. One of the students aims at her with his fist.
"I'll take her down fast!"
"No, wait!"
But it was too late because one of the students fire his rocket fist at 'Uraraka', making Izuku widen his eyes.
'Back then, I chose to fight to help them take him down. Which we were lucky thanks to the Justice League, but what we learn from them is the Legion of Doom are recruiting and they're looking for the League of Villains. And Batman and the others fought those villains and two Supermen, they're able to put All For One to another dimension called 'Phantom Zone', but it causes All Might to retire of his Pro Hero career. Also, they were able to find the Justice League at the Watchtower from space, Teen Titans at the Titans Tower, and taking down the Pro Heroes at the Hall of Justice. Many of the people are losing hope of the Pros, and with the announcement, the Hero Society is about to be shut down. However...' Izuku mentally thought, using his Full Cowling to launch himself into the air and rocket towards 'Uraraka', catching her and preventing her from getting hurt. 'Thanks to them, I was able to train extra hard to get better with my Quirk and with combat training and strategies, I'll be able to put them to good use for the exams.'
"An opening!"
He and his classmates stood on the top of the cliff, about to get to tag Izuku. He quickly turns, makes a quick work by using his One For All to deliver a kick that created a blast of intense, high-pressure air that slammed into the cliff. Destroying it and sending the students falling to earth. Izuku knew he had improved his Quirk as a result of his new suit, which gave him control over his abilities and using his legs.
Izuku then use his advantage by running from the fight, carrying 'Uraraka' with her and find a place to hide. He then remembered what All Might told him.
'I don't know. Based on that kick, I'd say you're further along than you think. So, you should be ready for this test.'
'It's just like All Might said. Until my body is able to catch up to my Quirk, I won't use One For All at 100%. Instead, I'll work on my legs. Thankfully, these new iron soles create a powerful impact and the toe spring back. So it's basically two hits in one. This support item compensates for my lack of power. I'll make myself stronger, I'll keep fighting and become the ideal hero I want to be!' Izuku mentally thought with determination.
"Well, we finally had a 30th person passed, still a pretty long way to go though." Mera said with a yawn. "Can't you kids speed this along for me?"
Soon as the dust is settled, the students from Ketsubutsu beginning to notice both Izuku and 'Uraraka' aren't here.
"Where'd those U.A. brats run off to?!"
"Are they gone? Or just hiding?"
"They gotta be close! Anyway, this isn't working, there must be a better way to tag them."
While the students from Ketsubutsy Academy starts searching, both Izuku and 'Uraraka' are hiding from behind the rock. Izuku looked over to the edge to determine if the area is clear.
'Anyone chasing us? No, maybe they gave up.' Izuku mentally thought.
"Thanks, sorry. I really messed up back there, huh." 'Uraraka' said with a smile.
"No, that's not true. You were outnumbered." Izuku said, but knowing she'd likely go for the target which she's about to hit his target closely with the rubber ball.
When Izuku knows what she's predicting, he smacks the ball away and facing her, making the fake froze.
"Let me guess, you're someone from Shiketsu?" Izuku asks with a glare.
"I'm what?" 'Uraraka' asks, started to get nervous.
"Uraraka has been working on her Quirk, training hard. She can even ignore the side effects for a short period of time, and use it to make herself float without getting sick, but you...you haven't tried to use it at all, even though you were in danger." Izuku explains while stepping back. "And even more suspicious, you exposed yourself to the enemy without a plan. That's not the Uraraka I know! So, who are you?"
The fake remained silent with her hair shadowing over her eyes, chuckled since the cats out of the bag.
"If you saved me, even though, you knew I was a fake. Does that mean you were trying to use me somehow?" She asks as the disguise began to melt into a gray liquid, leaving Izuku stunned.
"No, I didn't have time to think that far ahead!" Izuku said, getting into his fighting stance. "I'd do it again though, in a heartbeat. Because if you're not Uraraka, you couldn't have floated away back there. Falling from that height, you'd definitely injured yourself."
"Oh? I see now. So, you're just that good of a guy, huh." Camie said as the liquid moved away from her lips and her left eye, stood up while still drenched. "Please, tell me more about yourself, everything."
'Can't we talk about this after the exam?!' Izuku mentally though, starting to feel freaked out by her, not even realized of how possessive she could be.
"Does that mean you'll save anybody? Is there no boundary? Where do you draw the line?" Camie asks as more gray liquids fell off her curvy body which made Izuku widens his eyes with his jaws dropped.
"Holy whoa! What happen to your clothes!? You're basically naked!" Izuku exclaims, trying not to gaze at her naked body.
"I'll get dressed when my mission is complete!" Camie told him as she charges after him, about to swipe him with his fingers.
Izuku blocks that attack and delivers a straight jab right at her throat, making Camie stumbled back and cough the air. He then charges after him, uses a side kick to the stomach and then uses a switchblade kick right into the back of her neck, knocking her down to the ground.
'Good thing I took lessons from Wildcat and the others, they're a real taskmasters when it comes to physical and combat training.' Izuku mentally thought.
Camie groans in pain, stands up and about to attack again when a tape come in between the two, blocking her assault and forming a wall.
"What?!" Camie exclaims, looked in the direction they came from, and it got Izuku realize where the tape came from.
"Midoriya! What's this admirable situation you're in?!" Hanta shouts, turning to the real Uraraka. "Uraraka!"
Uraraka jumped over him with a front flip, glaring at Camie.
"Release!" Uraraka lands, about to hit her when Camie jumped backwards.
As Camie started at Uraraka with amusement, thinking how cute it was that she became frustrated.
'Those reflexes!' Uraraka exclaimed as she and Izuku watched Camie backflips up to a large boulder, reaching the top.
She then sat down and hugged her legs close to her breasts.
"And here things were just getting good, too bad. I really, really...wanted to talk to you some more, but not with so many people around. What a bummer." Camie said, gazing at Izuku with a wanting look in her eyes, then turned her attention to Uraraka. "Ochaco Uraraka, he really trusts you a lot, you know."
It got her confused, but Camie decided to have fun another time during the exam. She stood up and jump away, leaving the group with more questions to answer.
"Come back, naked girl!" Hanta exclaims, futilely reaching out to her.
"Don't follow her!" Izuku shouts, getting him to stop.
"Oh man, why not?!" Hanta shouts back.
"It might've just been her Quirk, but it looked like she wasn't wearing her clothes or her targets. There's still a chance she might come after us, but think about it, we don't have much time left and it would be hard to a point off of her." Izuku explains. "Also, you two are actually you, right?"
"What are you talking about?" Hanta asks in confused, which Uraraka is also confused.
"Well, earlier, that girl transformed into Uraraka's clone." Izuku answered, which made both Uraraka and Hana blushed with their eyes wide and jaws dropped.
"WAS SHE NAKED THEN, TOO, MIDORYA?!" Hana yelled, shaking Izuku which made him dizzy.
"That's what you're concerned about?! Of course, she had the costume on!" Izuku answered which made him stop shaking while sat together to hide behind the rocks.
"So, that hotties Quirk is to transform into other people...weird." Hanta said with a ponder.
"I think so." Izuku agrees.
"We can't underestimate how much those other schools have learned about us." Hanta told the two. "They even know you and Uraraka are really good friends."
"Probably because we are the same Calvary Battle team at the Sports Festival." Izuku stated.
"Yeah, it must be why." Uraraka agrees.
"Anyway, how'd you guys find me? It was perfect timing." Izuku said with a question.
"I just saw a fight and rushed over to help. We ran into each other along the way." Hanta told him with a shrug.
"I'm glad we got to help." Uraraka said, earned a nod from Izuku. "So, we're a trio for now. What next?"
"I wish we could meet up with the rest of our class. We're way safer in numbers." Hanta admits.
"That's true, but 30 people have already passed this test so far." Izuku agrees. "We have to hurry. If we're gonna pass, we've got to earn some points.
Meanwhile at the Industrial area, Shoto is still looking for the students to earn points after hearing the announcement, but he was hiding from behind of the structure.
'The other schools are sticking together, moving around in groups of 10 or more. I could attack one of them, but there could be people with Quirks I'm weak against. Ideally, the various teams would fight each other, bringing the numbers of each group down to something more manageable for me to pick off.' Shoto mentally thought, but then the announcement was heard.
"Let's see, where are we at now? Things have been moving a lot more quickly, looks like 52...make that 53 have passed. As looking on the other side of things, it seems 230 examinees have failed. Less than half the sponsor are open, now's the time to move. Don't dally, kids." Mera announced as Shoto stands after hearing it.
'I don't have the luxury of waiting around.' Shoto mentally thought as he sprints out of the hiding spot, but stops when someone throws the rubber ball at him as he uses his flames to fire at the ball, slowing it down to the ground.
"That was pretty good. Just what I'd expect from a winner of the U.A. Sports Festival."
He turned his attention to the students Seijin High School standing at the top of the structures.
"Your names Todoroki, right? I can't believe you're out here wondering around all by yourself. You must be really confident."
"But even if he is from U.A. High, acting alone is just asking for trouble."
"A 10 on 1 fight, he doesn't stand a chance."
"This is great, now I don't have to find opponents." Shoto muttered, readied his fighting stance.
"Aren't you cool?"
With that, the Seijin students threw their rubber balls which Shoto is on defense by forming an ice wall to block. He then starts using his ice ability to freeze their legs, preventing them from moving.
"You're surprised? I thought you said you watched the Sports Festival!" Shoto said, grabbing the ball.
"Don't get cocky, we're prepared!"
Then one of the students from Seijin throws a nut bolt and use his Quirk to enlarge it, causing Shoto to conjure an ice sword and add a little heat. He then remembered what his brother told him.
'Many will find your weakness and make their gadgets against you. You'll have to think outside of the box, like me, I can use heat that melts anything and I've done things that was out of the box. So, Shoto, use your head and find another way to get yourself out.'
Shoto then raise his sword up and swings it down, causing the nut to get sliced in half which made them shocked.
"That's not all I've brought with me!"
He then throws the number of nails and nuts at him, causing Shoto dodge and cut the nuts in half.
'Toya's right about them finding my weakness, but with those nuts and nails they're using, neither of them melts, but enough to damage them.' Shoto mentally thought with a glare. 'Even if I could damage them, the least I can do is either leave the fight or stay.'
A student from Seijin throw the nails at his classmates in the legs, freeing them from the ice.
"I made these in super-high melting point! How is it you slice them in half?!"
"Every gadget has it's weakness, I didn't use too much heat to melt. Just enough to slice them like a knife through butter." Shoto told him. "Sometimes I need to think outside of the box."
"It won't matter! Because your pride will be your downfall, even if you're a top U.A. students if you think you pass the exam all alone!"
Shoto was thinking the same thing about the students, but not saying it out lout as he readies his fighting stance.
