"There's never been a Slayer named Buffy. Unless it's a nickname." Diana observed. "Did Buffy become your mate?"
"She hit me with a desk, my pack saved me."
"So, that would be a no." Faith grinned. "Her loss, I did mention the marathon night of great sex, right?"
"Publicly." Cordelia grumbled. "Any more marathon nights of great sex?"
"Nah, we're working on being friends. Dating and sex would get in the way of other priorities." Faith answered, sooner or later everyone would know about the baby, but right now it was just their business.
"Obviously he was dispossessed." Mason pointed out. "Ask about how he knows about military equipment and sleeper holds."
"Xander," Diana wasn't sure how to word that question, so she paused. "How are you familiar with military equipment and techniques?"
"Private Harris, reporting for duty, ma'am." Xander stood at attention and saluted.
"Private Harris? He enlisted?" Mason was startled, it wasn't an answer he'd been expecting. "Did he use what he learned as a soldier to fight any demons?"
"Xander, did you ever use military knowledge, techniques or equipment to fight demons?"
"Yes, ma'am!"
"Please explain as much as you're able." Diana instructed.
"Rocket launcher to destroy the Judge."
"The Judge?" Diana questioned.
"Blue apocalypse demon that could burn the humanity out of any human."
"It was reassembled?!" Diana exclaimed. "No weapon forged could kill it, how did the Army destroy it?"
"They didn't, Cordy and I stole a rocket launcher. A shoulder held RPG actually."
Mason coughed, trying not to laugh at the look on Diana's face.
"You mean Cordelia Chase?" Diana clarified.
"Yes, my girlfriend."
That created a ripple of reaction.
"You and Cordelia were dating?" Diana asked. "How long?"
"Since she called Harmony a sheep and said she'd date whoever she wanted. Before that we just argued and made out in the Janitor's closet and the stacks."
"I dumped being Queen of the school to be with Xander?" Cordelia exclaimed. "Is that what I feel I've lost, what we were together?"
"Did you love Cordelia?" Diana asked.
"Yes, she was my Queen."
"Ahh." Faith grinned again.
"Xander, did something happen to Cordelia?"
"She died. It was Buffy's fault and mine."
"How was it either of your faults?"
"Angelus. She could never accept that he was a vampire, she wanted him. He killed Ms. Calendar and she stopped Giles from destroying him. I stopped him from killing Buffy and Angelus killed my parents and Cordelia. Worse, he made her like Jesse."
"Me?!" Jesse exclaimed. "What happened to me?!"
"What happened to Jesse, Xander?" Diana probed.
"Giles said, 'you're not seeing your friend, you're seeing what killed him'. It wasn't Jesse anymore and then it was a pile of dust because of the stake I held to his chest. Angelus did that to Cordelia. Buffy wouldn't have cared, just Slayed and moved on. Angelus was right about that, Buffy could destroy every vampire except the one she wanted. I gave her one more chance to do her job and she slowed me down, tried to stop me. I was too late, Cordy died. It was Buffy's fault, but it was my fault too. She let him in, I stopped him and that made him mad. So I stopped him for good."
"Oh, Xander." Diana sighed. "That's enough, come out of it now, Xander." Xander blinked and looked around at the people staring at him.
"What?" He asked.
"You don't remember, Dude?" Jesse asked.
"He won't." Diana answered for him. "None of that came from his conscious mind, it came from his soul. I think Xander died stopping Angelus and avenging Cordelia. As for how he is able to even access that kind of information from his soul, I'd guess a natural psychic ability."
"I died and so did Cordelia?" Xander questioned.
"I did too." Jesse informed. "In fact I became a vampire and you staked me and I guess Cordelia would have too, but you stopped that from happening."
"Well thank God for that!" Cordelia exclaimed. "Vampire me would have gone on a rampage the moment she realized she didn't have a reflection."
"Get this, Xan," Faith couldn't help grinning even more. "you and the Queen were dating. She broke up with popularity to be with you and you loved her."
"Enough to die avenging her." Jesse couldn't help but grin too. "I wonder how long you guys were together? It must have started while you were still in High School because you mentioned making out in the Janitor's closet and the stacks, I think that means the Library. Great place to hide, almost no one goes in there."
"Jesse, man -." Xander started.
"Oh, don't worry about it, I was dead and hey, if you want to give it a shot now, I say go for it. Dude, you loved her enough to die avenging her and she misses you so much it's carried over a time change. I wouldn't be a good friend if I let an unrequited crush keep you from being happy."
"Ah, okay." Xander fumbled trying to think of how to deal with all this new information. "So, um, more tests?"
"Yes." Diana nodded. "I believe you have a natural psychic ability and Mason wishes to test you as well, it seems you may have enlisted in the Army after graduation."
"I bet he looked hot in the uniform." Cordelia muttered.
"Oh, I have no doubt." Faith agreed. "I love me a man in uniform. There's a reason it's a fantasy, cliche, whatever."
"Like the hot blond who took a chunk out of Xander's neck." Jesse pointed out. "She was dressed like a Catholic school girl."
"I was a real Catholic school girl." Faith told him. "Uniforms and all."
That was a great way to end the very intense session as the four teens headed out and Diana and Mason stayed to talk about the revelations from Xander's magically induced hypnosis.
