Curtain Call
Chapter 24
Ever since the incident at school. Brooke had been keeping Eugene with her.
At home the store or out doing errands. And she noticed an instant boost in his happiness and peace of mind.
Brooke knew this was temporarily. She didn't know where to look for answers and didn't have help from the school.
The entire situation was causing Brooke to become even more protective over Eugene then normal and truthfully she was thinking about switching schools.
She wasn't exactly sure yet. Eugene was her first priority.
Once she had that figured out. She would focus on herself.
(Aunt Rachel!) Eugene exclaimed happily.
As she showed up at the store.
(Hey kiddo. How would you like to sleep over at our house? Me and uncle Mouth would love it.) Rachel suggested.
(I want to go. Can I go momma?) Eugene asked.
(Of course.) Brooke replied.
(It's break time baby. Go on and read one of you're books. Then have a snack after.) Brooke instructed.
Rachel focused on Brooke.
(I want to know everything going on.) Rachel said.

Lucas had kept his distance since the latest encounter with Brooke.
But knew they needed to clear the air and get back to a more stable place.
For Eugene 's sake.
Which is why as he made his way towards Clothes over bros.
He was taken off guard by a delivery man. Bringing in a bouquet of flowers.
Brooke 's face lit up. At the sight of the flowers.
(Delivery for Brooke Davis.) The delivery guy said.
Brooke signed off and thanked him.
He soon left as she sniffed the flowers and placed them on a nearby end table.
Rachel smiled. (Who are those from?) Rachel asked.
(No idea. The card had no name. or anything.) Brooke replied.
As Lucas entered the store quietly.
