Legacies and Lightning: Chapter 26
With Naruto and Yuui
Both Naruto and Yuui darted across the rooftops of buildings as fast as they could trying to reach the western side of the village; off in the distance was the One tailed Tanuki rampaging through the area.
"Oh man, I have a bad feeling about this" Naruto said as he ran beside Yuui "all those people over there-".
"The western part of the village is the financial and business sector" Yuui said and Naruto looked at her; Yuui looked at her watch and looked at the time "it's nearly midnight, on a Saturday; which means it should mostly be empty right now". "But there are still a lot of people out there; so we have to hurry" Yuui looked over to Naruto and spoke "we have to keep that thing in the west; if it gets to the center of the village-" Yuui paused as she imagined Kumo in ruins "J-just… focus on keeping that thing occupied".
Naruto nodded and looked at the One tails as it smashed a high rise office building "gotcha" he said; they were both now about five hundred yards away and both of them got ready to attack "lets do this".
Naruto put his sword in between his teeth and began to go through hand signs 'Lightning Style: Lightning Bolt' Naruto thought as he aimed his hand at the Tanuki's head. Naruto shot a red bold of lighting at the One tails and to his surprise jutsu hit it in the right eye making it roar.
"Gaaah, my eye" Shouted the One tails as it looked with it's one remaining eye in the direction where the attack came from; it saw 2 separate lights, one red and one white dashing across the rooftops tops towards him "Damn humans; you're gonna pay for that".
"I think you just pissed him off" Yuui said as she went through hand signs herself "Lighting Style: Lightning Senbon"; Yuui aimed her hands at the one tails and from her palms shot out thousands of lightning senbon that glittered in the night sky like stars.
The One tails seeing this took in a deep breath 'Wind Style: Drilling Air Bullets' the One tails thought before releasing it's breath all at once; a large blast of air escaped it's mouth and formed thousands of air bullets.
Both Naruto and Yuui went wide eyed "OH CRAP WIND JUTSU" Naruto shouted; the air bullets cut through the lightning senbon and both Naruto and Yuui went wide jumped into opposite directions as the air bullets hit the area they were just at. The air bullets peppered the buildings and even caused one to explode into a ball of fire.
Naruto landed onto a roof losing his balance and rolled a few feet before getting back up; Naruto made a hand sign and spoke "Lightning Clone Jutsu" Naruto shouted as twenty lightning clones appeared. Naruto and his lightning clones activated their sword and looked at the One Tail.
On the opposite side of the Biju Yuui skidded along the concrete roof; she was going so fast that the rubber soles of her saddles even left skid marks on the roof as she came to a stop. Yuui made a hand sign as well and spoke "Lightning Clone Jutsu" Yuui said; five lightning clones appeared and Yuui cracked her neck with several satisfying pops. "Ok you ugly bastard" Yuui said narrowing her eyes "time to show you what Kumo can do".
Meanwhile; In the Raikage tower: With A, Uzui, Darui and Samui
"Goddamn it people; get everyone" A shouted as he was in the 'War Room'; all around him ninja of all ranks and ages ran past. It's only been four minutes since the One Tails has began it's rampage and so far, everything has gone to shit; every ninja in the village was rushing to get ready for battle but as they did so the Biju was tearing up the village.
A platoon of twenty-five Anbu ran up and spoke to A "I got a platoon Lord Raikage; we'll head out and stop it" the captain said.
"Well what the fuck you telling me for; GO!" A shouted and the captain nodded and ran past; Uzui ran up with Samui beside her "honey, how're you doing?"
Uzui was now in her Kumo police uniform consisting of a grey one piece jumpsuit, knee high black combat boots, a utility belt with various pouches and customized jonin vest that had her police badge sewn into it.
"All Kumo Police officers are gathering up civilians and evacuating them to the shelters as we speak" Uzui said "I also detached the T.K.B to go and assist in holding off the Biju; Mayui was already with her team when this happened".
"Good, goddamn it; how'd this happen?" A said as he pinched the bridge of his nose "and where the fuck is Bee and Yugito?"
"Bee is back at his mountain lair" Darui said running up "I sent two runners to get him"; A growled and Darui continued. "Yugito went on an emergency mission; but we sent runners to get her as well" Darui said.
"Fuck me" A said "how can this get any worse?"
As if on cue a Chunin ran up and skidded in front of A and was panting "L-L-Lord Raikage; it's an emergency" he said "we have reports of two people engaging it right now".
"No shit kid; we have a fucking Biju rampaging in the village" A scolded the boy "Why the fuck is this news?"
The Chunin gulped down hard and spoke "The two people who are fighting it right now are Lady Yuui and a boy with spiky blonde hair" he said.
Upon hearing this A and Uzui both went cold; their daughter was fighting the Biju with Naruto.
"Oh god" Uzui said wide eyed.
"My daughter is fighting that thing?" A shouted as he grabbed the Chunin by the collar; A let go of the boy as he fell to the ground "damn it". A activated his lighting cloak illuminating the room in a bright blue light "I'm coming baby girl" he shouted as he burst through a wall and ran out of the Raikage tower.
With Naruto and Yuui
Naruto's feet hit the side of the One tail as he and his clones began to rush up it's side using the 'Walk on walls' Jutsu to keep their balance; tendrils of sand shot out of the Tanuki's sand body and went towards Naruto and his clones.
Naruto slashed at the sand with his sword, the vibrating blade of lighting cutting through like nothing and making the sand fall apart; his clones did the same but sadly one was hit and destroyed. However when it exploded into lighting the Biju's sand body cracked and crumbled in that spot.
'Well this could be a lot worse' Naruto thought as he looked behind himself to his clones "scatter and attack; lets hurt this big bastard". The clones all scattered in different directions and Naruto got to work; Naruto stabbed this swords lighting blade into the Biju's side and continued to run up.
The Earth based body of the Biju was weak against the sword and as Naruto ran up he caused a large gash to open; Naruto's clones did the same cutting open wounds into the Biju's body. However the One Tails didn't even seemed phased by this as it was not in pain; it just looked down annoyed at what was happening.
"Little human bugs" The One tail said as it raised it's arm and swatted one of the clones causing it to explode and blow off a finger "Damn pests; always ruining my fun"
The One Tail began to swat at Naruto and his clones as they ran across it's body; if it wasn't for the fact that the Biju was rampaging through the west side of Kumo this scene would look comical. The One Tail was acting like a child trying to swat ants off it's body and failing as it missed with it's hands; there were too many clones so it wasn't able to focus it's sand attack on all at once.
Yuui seeing that the One Tail was temporarily distracted, ran with two of her clones to behind the Biju; she split up herself and her clones into two groups of three. While Naruto was attacking from close range, she planned on attack at a distance; Yuui stopped and both of her clones stood on either side of her as she faced the Biju.
Yuui and her clones began to go through hand signs simultaneously before all three pointed their hands at the Biju "Lighting Style: Lighting Beam Technique" Yuui shouted. Yuui and her clones shot three beams of lighting towards the back of the One Tails head; the Biju was about to swat at another one of Naruto's clones when it was hit.
Two of the shots hit the back of the Biju's head while the third one blew off it's ear; the Biju stiffened and slowly turned around and looked at Yuui who stood there feeling her heart stop for a second. The Biju raised it's tail into the air above Yuui and her clones and Yuui dashed out of the way as the tail came down; the tails smashed into the building destroying it in a single blow.
Both of Yuui's clones were destroyed and debris flew everywhere; Yuui was blow into a water tower and was peppered with debris. She received several small cuts from broken glass and concrete shards but other than that was unharmed.
As the One Tail's ear reformed it looked at Yuui 'Damn brat; now she's gonna-' it began until suddenly a flash of red light appeared down below; the next thing the One Tail knew it's tail was cut off.
Naruto using his sword and pumping as much chakra as he could into the blade succeeded in cutting off the Tanuki's tail; Naruto landed on a nearby building so hard his feet cracked the roof.
"Haha, take that you big sandy asshole" Naruto shouted from down below "there's more where that-"; the next thing Naruto knew the tail he just cut off reattached itself and the Biju was now looking at him. All emotion drained from Naruto as he stared at the now enraged Biju "...I'm sorry" Naruto said flatly as the Biju aimed it's hand at him.
"Eat this runt" The Biju roared as it fired a large volley of Sand Shuriken towards Naruto who went wide eyed; Naruto rapidly went through hand signs and shouted.
"Cloud Shield Jutsu" Naruto shouted as a condensed wall of air appeared in above him; the air became a chakra embedded cloud barrier just as the sand shuriken collided with it. The cloud shield was pummeled with the sand shuriken as it began to grow unstable; Naruto raised his sword above his head just in time as the shield gave way and the remaining sand shuriken rained down.
Naruto began to block the shuriken as best as he could but he was still hit by them; despite his lighting cloak absorbing most of the damage he was smashed into the ground by the sheer number. Every single shuriken felt like one of Lee's full powered punches; after a second it ended and Naruto slowly began to get to his feet, he spat out a glob of blood off to the side and looked at the Biju.
"T-That all you got… bastard?" Naruto said slightly dazed; the One Tail was about to attack again when several explosions erupted from the Biju's left side. Naruto looked over and felt relief wash over him "Anko" he said.
Anko, Kurenai and Tonoi all stood on top of a building and all three of them were throwing kunai with exploding tags towards the One Tail.
"Damn it all to hell" Anko shouted as she threw another volley of Kunai at the Biju; the kunai hit and exploded but did little more than make a few craters in it's massive body "this isn't doing shit".
"You're right" Tonoi said as he began to go through hand signs "time to show this jive ass bastard what happens when he messes with Kumo". Upon stopping at the last hand sign Tonoi formed a ball of lighting in front of him and shouted "Lightning Style: Spinning Lightning Shot"; the ball began to shoot several lighting strikes towards the Biju.
The One Tail saw this and raised it's arm in defense as the lightning attacks hit; due to being a lighting jutsu and the lightning strikes having spin to give them stabilization the attacks punched straight through the Biju's arm and hit it in the face a few times.
"You got him" Kurenai said surprised until the Biju moved it's arm revealing it's damaged face.
"Nah, I didn't" Tonoi said as he wrapped his arms around both Anko and Kurenai "we gotta bail"; Tonoi jumped away with both Kurenai's and Anko in tow as the Biju launched a powerful gust of air at the building they were just on.
Yuui seeing this got to her feet and was about to attack when a blur of blue flashed across the Biju's body.
"NOT IN MY VILLAGE" A roared as he sent a chop towards the Biju's right arm; A's lighting chop cleaved through the Biju's arm severing it and sending it to the ground where it exploded into a large pile of sand.
"Daddy" Yuui said excitedly; as soon as she said that she saw a blur of red and saw Naruto rushing back in towards the Biju.
Naruto instead of going high decided to go low as he ran towards the One Tail's feet; Naruto gripped his sword and slashed at the back of the Biju's left ankle. Naruto's sword sliced into the sandy ankle and Naruto gripped it tight and began to drag it across; Naruto was rushing as fast as he could while doing this as he tried to go completely around the foot.
One he made a full circle around it's leg Naruto pulled out his sword and the One Tail began to wobble as it lost it's balance; Naruto dashed off just as a large force of over one hundred Kumo Shinobi came along.
"About damn time" Naruto said as he began to hop up onto a nearby shop.
Mayui and her squad from the TKB got onto a nearby building and she pointed at the Biju "All units, attack now" she ordered as she took out a handful of Shuriken and charged it with Lightning Chakra "Lightning Style: Lightning Shuriken Jutsu". Mayui and her squad all began to throw lightning cover shuriken towards the One Tail; while the jutsu wasn't powerful the overwhelming number of shuriken was having it's effect of keeping it distracted while the Kumo anbu attacked.
A platoon of Anbu were all rushing towards the Biju and rushing up the sided much like how Naruto did with his lighting clones; all of the Anbu created ten lightning clones each and the squad of twenty-five turned into almost three hundred in an instant. The clones scurried up onto the Biju while the Anbu jumped off and once they were far enough away they all made a hand signs.
The result was all of the lightning clones exploding on every side of the Biju; the One Tails roared into the night as its body began to crack and degrade from the attacks. In a fit of rage the One Tail's spun around and using it's tail smashed several buildings, killing several ninja and turning the debris into shrapnel sending it flying towards the center of the village.
Yuui went wide eyed at this as she realized what it was doing; since it couldn't advance into the village it was going to attack at a distance 'no, I have to stop it' Yuui thought as she charged up her lightning cloak and leapt towards the Biju's head.
Yuui charged up her left hand which had her special glove; the white lighting in her hand began to burn as she opened her palm into a 'knife hand'. Yuui had been trying to perfect this technique for years ever since she heard about it from her father; this was her grandfather's strongest attack, the attack that even stopped the rampaging Eight Tails. And now despite not mastering it, she was going to use it to defeat the One Tail.
"JIGOKUZUKI" Yuui roared as she rocketed towards the Biju's head; the One Tail turned to the person who shouted just in time for Yuui to reach it. Yuui's hand contacted just above the left brow of the One Tail and using her momentum she shot through the Biju's head like an arrow coming out the other side.
Spinning around while in mid air, Yuui expected the Biju to at least be stunned by the attack; however she could only look on in horror as the One Tail turned it's head towards her and opened it's mouth and fired a volley of wind bullets at her.
Yuui was hit by the wind bullets, the attack cutting through her lightning cloak and hitting her in multiple areas; Yuui screamed in pain as she felt her bones break and fracture from the hits and everyone on the ground could only look on in horror as her cloak faded and she began to fall back down to earth.
"YUUI" A shouted as she dashed across the roof tops to get to her before she hit the ground; after reaching and area where he could jump A leapt into the air with all the power in his legs. A was nearing Yuui but before he could fully reach her A was swatted away by the One Tail sending him crashing into a nearby building.
"Where you going?" The One Tail said "The party is over here, hahaha"; A got up to his knees and looked to the sky at Yuui.
To Yuui everything was going like it was in slow motion, she felt the cool night air hit her skin and rush through her hair, the moon light illuminating the area and the approaching ground from below.
'Move, move, move damn it' Yuui thought as she tried to force her body to move; but she couldn't move as she used up a lot of chakra for her jutsu and several of her bones were broken. 'Is… is this it; is this how I die?' Yuui thought as the ground approached her 'daddy, mommy, someone; help me'.
Yuui closed her eyes waiting for the pain of colliding to the ground; but the next thing she knew she was pulled to the side and began to roll.
……..
"Hahaha, come on humans, you can't just give up now" The One Tail said "I haven't had my fill; come to me and-"
"SUMMONING JUTSU: BRING DOWN THE HOUSE" Shouted a voice from above the One Tail and instinctively it looked up.
'Bring down the wha-' The One Tail began to think until a massive toad almost the same size as itself landed on top of it and drove it's Dosu blade though it's body imbedding it to the ground "GAAAAAH!"
The toad was a rusty reddish color, wore what looked like a blue happi vest with the Kanji for 'Ebi' on the back and had a large pipe in it's mouth that was spewing smoke.
"Thank you Gamabunta; I haven it from here" Said a loud voice; the toad name Gamabunta grunted in acknowledgment.
"Alright, just hurry up" Gamabunta said.
The One Tail struggled to turn it's head but it did just in time to see a figure coming down at it at a fast speed with what seemed like a blue ball of chakra in it's hand.
"Rasengan" Shouted the figure as it burrowed the blue chakra sphere into the One Tail's head just enough to see the outline of a shoulder; Gaara was unconscious inside the head of the One Tail and the figure making one simple hand sign slammed his hand onto the shoulder and spoke. "SEAL" he shouted as a series of seals appeared over him; the whole world froze for a second and then it happened.
The One Tail's body began to turn back into sand as the mysterious figure grabbed Gaara and hoisted him out and over his shoulder.
Everyone present was wide eyed at this, Mayui had some shuriken in her hand ready to attack 'w-who the hell is this?' Mayui thought.
"What the hell?" Anko shouted from a nearby rooftop "Who the fuck are you?"
The figure jumped from where he was back onto the giant toads head and tossed Gaara down next to him; he then took a pose and began to speak.
"So you wish to know who I am?" Said the figure as he began to do a strange dance "I am the man who has no enemies in the North, South, East or west; not even in the heavens". The figure strikes a pose "I am one of the Sannin, the White Haired Toad Tamer" he said "The Great Jiraya".
Most of the Kumo shinobi looked on confused at this but Anko, Kurenai, A and Tonoi.
'Wait, this is Jiraya of the Sannin?' thought Kurenai 'the seal master who taught the Fourth Hokage, the genin of Lord Hokage'.
"Holy crap that's Jiraya?" Anko thought, suddenly it hit her like a ton of bricks 'holy crap it's Jiraya; where's Naruto?'; Anko looked around furiously until she saw who she was looking for. "Kurenai" Anko said gaining her attention "look"; Anko pointed off into the distance to show Kurenai what she was looking at.
Kurenai turned and saw what Anko was looking at "oh, thank Kami above" she said.
With Yuui
Yuui's head was swimming as she held her eyes closed 'am I dead?' Yuui thought.
"Hey Yuui, are you ok?" Came a familiar voice; Yuui opened her eyes and as her eyed adjusted she saw it was Naruto "man, you had me worried there for a second". Yuui looked around and saw where she was and what was happening.
Naruto was holding Yuui bridal style and despite the height and weight difference Naruto seemingly was holding her up with no problem at all; Naruto was currently standing at the top of a water tower.
"N-Naruto, you save me?" Yuui said astonished as she looked back at him Naruto smiled and nodded.
"Of course I did, I could never let anything happen to you" Naruto said giving her his trademark smile.
At that moment everything lined up perfectly; Naruto was holding Yuui like a princess on the top of a tower. Naruto was being with the full moon to his back was illuminated by it's glow; his blue eyes, blonde hair and his smile were irradiated by the glow and he had aura around him which Yuui never noticed.
It was at this point Yuui felt something unlock in her; and at that very moment, she began to feel an oncoming sensation that she never felt before flood her heart.
