Chapter 118: The Aerial Gym Battle! Ash vs Falkner!

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a good Christmas (if you celebrate it)/holiday. This chapter will focus on Ash's gym battle against Falkner, and I hope you all enjoy it! Also sorry for the late upload I was pretty busy this week.

The chapter begins one day after the last chapter ended, the group have finally reached Violet City and are heading for the gym. We see them walking forward as Misty speaks.

"Is that it?" Misty asks while pointing towards a spiral building Brock speaks.

"Yep, that's the Violet City gym" Brock says making Ash along with Casey excited as Ash speaks.

"Let's hurry!" Ash says as he along with Casey run forward leaving Misty, Brock and Togetic behind as they quickly run after them. A few seconds later the group have made it to the building as they look at it Casey speaks.

"Wow it's even bigger in person." Casey says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.

"So, this is the gym where we'll get our first gym badge." Ash says as he looks at Pikachu and speaks.

"You ready Pikachu?" Ash asks with the yellow mouse nodding as just when Ash's about to open the door something catches his along with Pikachu's eyes causing them to look up in the air as Misty speaks.

"What is it, Ash? Aren't you going to open the door?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.

"I was but there's something in the sky" Ash responds making the others confused as they look at the sky too. When they do, they see a Pidgeot and next to it is a person Hang Gliding as Misty speaks.

"Look it's a Pidgeot." Misty says as Brock speaks.

"And someone's Hang Gliding next to it." Brock says as a couple seconds later the bird along with the person land next to the group when they do the person looks at them as Brock speaks.

"It's Falkner." Brock says as Falkner looks at Ash, Misty, and Brock smiles and speaks.

"Hey, I know you 3 you all competed in the SS. Anne Tournament, right?" Falkner asks with the group nodding as he then looks at Casey and speaks.

"And who are you?" Falkner asks as Casey speaks.

"My name's Casey and I'm here to have a gym battle against you." Casey says as Ash speaks.

"Me too." Ash says with Falkner nodding as he speaks.

"I see so which of you wants to battle me first?" Falkner asks as Casey speaks.

"Ash can go first" Casey says surprising Ash as he speaks.

"Are you sure Casey?" Ash asks as Casey speaks.

"Yep, as I want to see you battle him first." Casey responds with Ash nodding as he looks back at Falkner and speaks.

"Looks like I'm up first." Ash says with Falkner nodding as he speaks.

"Okay and Ash since you're battling me first, I have a suggestion for you." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"A suggestion?" Ash asks as Falkner speaks.

"Yes, for this battle against me I want you to only use your flying type Pokémon." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"How come?" Ash asks as Falkner speaks.

"Well, I've watched your battles in the Kanto and Orange Leagues and was impressed by how you used your flying Pokémon especially your Gyarados, so I want mine to go up against them. Of course you're free to decline as well." Falkner says as Ash begins to think Misty speaks.

"What do you want to do Ash?" Misty asks as a couple seconds later Ash comes out of his thoughts as he looks at Falkner and speaks.

"Sure, I'll use my flying types against yours." Ash says making Falkner happy as he speaks.

"I'm happy that you agreed and seeing as you're an experienced trainer we'll each use 6 Pokémon so be sure to pick out your best flying types." Falkner says with Ash nodding as he speaks.

"You got it I just need to call Prof. Oak to switch out my Pokémon." Ash says with Falkner nodding as he speaks.

"I'll be awaiting your arrival in the gym and the battlefield is at the top floor." Falkner says with Ash and the others nodding as Falkner returns his Pidgeot back to its Pokeball and goes inside the gym. When he does that Ash looks at the others and speaks.

"Alright let's go back to the Pokémon Center so that I can switch out my Pokémon." Ash says with the others nodding as they begin heading back to the center. Once they make it, Ash calls Prof. Oak and manages to switch out his Pokémon. When that was done the group headed back to the Violet Gym building and go inside. They then go inside the elevator and begin heading for the top of the building. They continue to go up until the elevator doors open revealing a big battlefield along with the open sky. The group look around seeing Falkner along with his gym trainers off to the side as Misty speaks.

"So, this is the battlefield." Misty says as Casey speaks.

"We're up really high and there's no roof." Casey says as Brock speaks.

"It's probably like this to give Ash and Falkner's flying types more room to fly." Brock says with Casey nodding as Falkner speaks.

"So, Ash have you chosen your 6 flying types?" Falkner asks with Ash nodding as he speaks.

"Yep, and they're all ready to battle." Ash says with Falkner nodding as Ash looks at his friends and speaks.

"Alright guys I'm going to head over to the battlefield." Ash says as Misty speaks.

"Good luck Ash." Misty says with Brock and Casey saying the same thing with Ash nodding as they all head over to the stands and sit down while Ash along with Pikachu begin walking over to their side of the battlefield. When they make it Ash along with Falkner look at each other while having serious looks on their faces as off to the side Casey speaks.

"They look very serious." Casey says as Brock speaks.

"They both know that they're strong trainers and that this battle won't be easy for either of them." Brock says with Casey nodding. Back on the battlefield one of Falkner's gym trainers takes the referee spot and begins to speak.

"This is a 6v6 single battle between Falkner the Violet City Gym Leader and the challenger Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town. Only the challenger is allowed to make substitutions and whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner do both trainers understand?" The ref says with the two boys nodding as the ref continues to speak.

"Now then will both trainers please send out your first Pokémon!" The ref says as Ash along with Falkner pull out their Pokeball's and speak.

"Go! Noctowl!" "Noctowl, I choose you!" The two boys say as they throw their Pokeball's forward and send out their Noctowl's. When the two mons appear, they look at each other while having serious looks on their faces. Off to the side Brock speaks.

"Looks like it's going to be a Noctowl vs Noctowl battle." Brock says with Casey and Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Falkner looks at Ash's Noctowl and speaks.

"So, you've decided to bring out your Noctowl as well." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Yep, and he's going to take yours down!" Ash states with his Noctowl agreeing with him and making Falkner smirk as he looks at his Noctowl and speaks.

"Noctowl get ready." Falkner says with the mon nodding as it along with Ash's Noctowl get into battle stances. The two mons along with their trainers continue to look at each other as the ref speaks.

"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokémon let the battle begin!" The ref calls as Falkner speaks.

"I'll give you the first move." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Thanks, hope you don't regret it. Noctowl use Hypnosis!" Ash calls with Noctowl nodding as he fires out the hypnotic rays at Falkner's Noctowl Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl stay where you are." Falkner says with the mon nodding as it doesn't move allowing for the rays to hit it making Ash happy as he speaks.

"Nice it landed." Ash says happily but his smile doesn't last for long as he sees that Falkner's Noctowl isn't asleep and speaks.

"Wait how come it's not asleep?" Ash asks as Falkner speaks.

"That's because my Noctowl has the ability Insomnia which means it can't be put asleep by moves like Hypnosis. I'm surprised that you called for that attack even though you should know that Noctowl gets that ability seeing as you have a Noctowl yourself." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Well, I just thought that yours didn't have the Insomnia ability." Ash responds as Falkner speaks.

"Well, you made a poor call and now it's our turn to attack. Noctowl use Psybeam!" Falkner calls with his Noctowl nodding as it fires out a psychic beam that heads for Ash's Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl use Psychic to send it back!" Ash calls. His Noctowl's eyes glow and fires out the psychic waves that connect with the beam. The Psychic begins sending the Psybeam back at Falkner's Noctowl as Falkner speaks.

"Dodge Noctowl then use Air Slash!" Falkner calls. His Noctowl nods as it quickly flies high in the air avoiding the Psybeam. Its wings then glow and flaps them forward, firing out multiple slashes of wind at Ash's Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl counter with your Air Slash!" Ash calls with his Noctowl nodding as he fires out multiple slashes of wind of his own connecting with Falkner's creating multiple explosions as Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. His Noctowl nods and descends heading for Ash's Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl counter with Echoed Voice!" Ash calls. His Noctowl quickly lets out a loud voice that connects with Falkner's Noctowl and stops it. Falkner's Noctowl is groaning in pain as Ash speaks.

"Great job Noctowl now use Nasty Plot and keep using Echoed Voice!" Ash calls with his Noctowl nodding as he sharply increases his special attack power and continues letting out a loud voice doing more damage to Falkner's Noctowl. Off to the side Casey speaks.

"How come Ash's only having his Noctowl use Echoed Voice?" Casey asks as Brock speaks.

"Echoed Voice is a move where if you use it consistently it becomes more powerful. And now that Ash had Noctowl increase his special attack power with Nasty Plot Echoed Voice is now doing even more damage to Falkner's Noctowl." Brock answers with Casey nodding as she speaks.

"Meaning that if he keeps this up his Noctowl will win." Casey says with Brock and Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash's Noctowl continues using Echoed Voice on Falkner's Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"That's it Noctowl just a little bit more!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer with the owl nodding as it continues using Echoed Voice. Over with Falkner he sees his Noctowl crying out in pain and is gritting his teeth. Falkner then stops as he smiles and speaks.

"I have to hand it to you Ash this is a smart idea but now it's time for my Noctowl to break free." Falkner says as he calls for his next command.

"Noctowl use Hurricane!" Falkner calls with his Noctowl nodding as it lets out a mighty roar and summons a large Hurricane that easily gets rid of the Echoed Voice and heads for Ash's Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl quick fly away!" Ash calls with his Noctowl nodding as he quickly begins flying away from the Hurricane Falkner's Noctowl suddenly appears in front of him. Ash along with his Noctowl have surprised looks on their faces as Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls with his Noctowl nodding as it shoots forward and hits Ash's Noctowl causing damage to the mon. Ash's Noctowl is then sent into the Hurricane and begins to be spun around. Ash's Noctowl's crying in pain as a couple seconds later the Hurricane goes away and Ash's Noctowl falls back on the battlefield landing on his stomach as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl are you okay?!" Ash asks with the mon nodding as when he begins to stand back up Falkner speaks.

"Use Psybeam!" Falkner calls. His Noctowl quickly fires out a psychic beam that heads for Ash's Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl dodge!" Ash calls with his Noctowl nodding as he quickly flies into the air and avoids the attack. Once he dodges the attack Falkner's Noctowl suddenly appears in front of him, surprising the owl as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl blow it back with Psychic!" "Noctowl use Supersonic!" Both trainers' call. Before Ash's Noctowl can use Psychic Falkner's Noctowl lets out a loud voice that connects with Ash's Noctowl. Once Falkner's Noctowl is done Ash's Noctowl is now confused surprising Ash as Falkner speaks.

"Good job Noctowl now use Psybeam!" "Noctowl dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Ash his Noctowl is unable to dodge because of the confused state he's in allowing for Falkner's Noctowl to fire the psychic beam which hits Ash's Noctowl. Ash's Noctowl is sent crashing back onto the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears Ash's Noctowl is laying on his stomach and is groaning in pain. A couple seconds later Ash's Noctowl stands back up and is still in his confused state as Falkner speaks.

"Well Ash your Noctowl was certainly impressive, but it seems as though this victory belongs to me." Falkner says to himself as he calls for his next command.

"Noctowl use Nasty Plot then Hurricane!" Falkner calls with his Noctowl nodding as it sharply raises its special attack power then lets out a roar summoning a large Hurricane that heads for Ash's still confused Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl dodge!" Ash calls but the mon doesn't as he's still confused. Off to the side Brock speaks.

"This isn't good Ash needs to switch out Noctowl before it's too late" Brock says while having a worried look on his face with Misty and Casey having the same looks. Back on the battlefield The Hurricane's getting closer to Ash's Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"Come On Noctowl Break out of your Confusion and Dodge!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu exclaim. Back on the battlefield Ash's Noctowl their words and manages to break out of his confused state. Ash's Noctowl quickly flies high in the air and avoids the Hurricane as Ash speaks.

"Way to go Noctowl!" Ash says happily with the owl nodding as suddenly Falkner's Noctowl appears in front of Ash's Noctowl. Falkner calls for his next command.

"Noctowl use Supersonic!" "Noctowl look out!" Both trainers' call. Up in the air Falkner's Noctowl fires the Supersonic that heads for Ash's Noctowl. Ash's Noctowl sees the move coming and can't dodge in time. Ash's Noctowl gets a determined look on his face and lets out a roar as suddenly a pink circle appears in front of him surprising everyone. Once the Supersonic connects with the circle it's then bounced back at Falkner's Noctowl and completely confuses the mon. Falkner has a surprised look on his face as off to the side Misty speaks.

"What just happened?" Misty asks as Brock speaks.

"Ash's Noctowl learned Magic Coat" Brock answers as Casey speaks.

"What's Magic Coat?" Casey asks as Brock speaks.

"It's a move that can reflect status moves back at the user. Ash's Noctowl knew that he wouldn't have been able to dodge the Supersonic in time, so he learned Magic Coat in order to counter it." Brock says with Misty and Casey nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash heard what Brock said then looks at his Noctowl and speaks.

"Noctowl congrats on learning Magic Coat and now it's time for us to counter!" Ash says with his Noctowl agreeing with him as Falkner speaks.

"I won't let you! Noctowl use Hurricane!" Falkner calls but the mon doesn't do that and instead just flies around randomly making Falkner grit his teeth as Ash smiles and speaks.

"Looks like your Noctowl's really confused. Noctowl use Nasty Plot then Moonblast!" Ash calls with his Noctowl nodding as he sharply increases his special attack power again and summons a big pink orb of fairy energy. Ash's Noctowl then sends the orb at Falkner's Noctowl as Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl dodge!" Falkner calls but his Noctowl doesn't dodge, allowing for the Moonblast to hit it. The pink orb sends Falkner's Noctowl crashing back on the battlefield creating an explosion as Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl!" Falkner calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Falkner's Noctowl laying on its back and groaning in pain. The mon has broken out of its confused state and looks at Ash's Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"So, it can still battle huh? Okay Noctowl use Psychic and begin charging up a Sky Attack!" Ash calls with his Noctowl nodding as he fires out the psychic waves that connect with Falkner's Noctowl keeping it in one place. Ash's Noctowl then begins to glow in a golden aura and begins to charge up the Sky Attack as Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl break out of the Psychic!" Falkner calls but his Noctowl's unable to because the Moonblast did a lot of damage to it. Up in the air Ash's Noctowl has finished charging up the Sky Attack as Ash speaks.

"Okay Noctowl Go!" Ash calls with his Noctowl nodding as he begins to descend heading for Falkner's Noctowl as Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl counter with Hurricane!" Falkner calls with the mon nodding as it lets out a mighty roar summoning a large Hurricane that Ash's Noctowl flies into. Inside the Hurricane Ash's Noctowl is groaning in pain and is slowly being pushed back as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl don't give up! Break Thru!" Ash calls with his Noctowl nodding as he lets out a roar and manages to break through the Hurricane surprising Falkner. Ash's Noctowl continues heading for Falkner's Noctowl and is getting closer to it as Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl use Mean Look!" Falkner calls with his Noctowl nodding as its eyes glow sending out a ghostly figure that connects with Ash's Noctowl making it so he can't be switched out. A couple seconds later Ash's Noctowl crashes into Falkner's creating an explosion along with a strong gust of wind as Falkner speaks.

"Noctowl!" Falkner calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Ash's Noctowl who flies back over to Ash's side of the battlefield and looks forward waiting to see the results. When the smoke clears everyone can see Falkner's Noctowl lying on its back and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Gym leader Falkner's Noctowl is unable to battle the challenger's Noctowl is the winner!" The ref calls making Ash happy as he speaks.

"All Right! Way to go Noctowl I knew you could do it!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say with the owl nodding as he looks at them and smiles. Off to the side Misty, Brock, and Casey let out a cheer as Casey speaks.

"Ash's Noctowl did it he managed to take out Falkner's Noctowl!" Casey says happily. Back on the battlefield Falkner returns his Noctowl back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and to get a good rest. Falkner then puts the ball away as he looks over at Ash and speaks.

"Your Noctowl surprised me Ash I wasn't expecting it to learn Magic Coat or defeat my Noctowl. I can tell that it really wanted to win for you." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Thank you and I was also surprised that Noctowl learned Magic Coat." Ash says with Falkner nodding as he pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.

"It's now time for me to reveal my next Pokémon. Skarmory come out!" Falkner says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Skarmory. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face as over with Ash he begins to think.

"So, a Skarmory's his next Pokémon. Noctowl's tired from his battle against Falkner's but I can't return him since Falkner's Noctowl used Mean Look before fainting." Ash says to himself as he looks at his Noctowl and speaks.

"Noctowl hang in there!" Ash says with the owl nodding as he looks at Skarmory and gets in a battle stance with Skarmory doing the same. The two-mons continue to look at each other as the ref speaks.

"Let the battle continue!" The ref calls as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl use Psychic!" Ash calls. Noctowl nods and fires out a large wave of psychic energy at Skarmory as Falkner speaks.

"Use Night Slash then Flash Cannon!" Falkner calls. Skarmory covers its wings in dark energy and slashes the psychic easily destroying it. Skarmory then fires out a steel beam from its mouth that heads for Noctowl as Ash speaks.

"Noctowl dodge!" Ash calls. Noctowl quickly flies in the air and dodges the attack as Falkner speaks.

"Use Steel Wing!" Falkner calls his Skarmory quickly flies after Noctowl and hits him with his wings doing damage. Skarmory then opens its mouth as Falkner speaks.

"Use Flash Cannon!" "Noctowl look out!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Ash Noctowl's unable to dodge in time as Skarmory fires out a steel beam from its mouth that consumes Noctowl and sends him crashing back on the ground creating an explosion. Ash then speaks.

"Noctowl!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Noctowl lying on his back and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Noctowl's unable to battle Skarmory's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Falkner and Skarmory to smile. Off to the side Casey speaks.

"Darn Ash's Noctowl lost." Casey says as Brock speaks.

"Unfortunately, he was too tired from his previous battle." Brock says as Misty speaks.

"And Ash was unable to return him thanks to Mean Look." Misty says with Brock and Casey nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Noctowl back to his Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and puts the ball back on his belt. Ash then pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Corviknight, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Corviknight. Once Corviknight appears he looks at Skarmory and has a serious look on his face with Skarmory having the same look. Off to the side Misty speaks.

"It seems as though Corviknight and Skarmory don't like each other." Misty says as Brock speaks.

"In the wild Corviknight and Skarmory are natural enemies to each other." Brock says with Misty nodding. Back on the battlefield Falkner looks at Ash's Corviknight and speaks.

"Your Corviknight looks like it's been well taken care for." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Thanks, and he's going to take down your Skarmory!" Ash states with his Corviknight agreeing with him as he along with Skarmory get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash and Falkner speak.

"Use Flash Cannon!" The two trainers call with Corviknight and Skarmory nodding as they fire their own steel beam at each other. The two beams collide in the middle of the battlefield creating an explosion. Out of the smoke appears the two steel birds who fly high in the air and are looking at each other as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory use Flash Cannon again!" Falkner calls. Skarmory nods and fires out another steel beam at Corviknight as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight dodge and use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Corviknight moves to the right avoiding the steel beam. Corviknight's wings glow and flaps them forward, sending out multiple slashes of wind at Skarmory as Falkner speaks.

"Get rid of them with Steel Wing then use Iron Head!" Falkner calls. Skarmory covers its wings in steel energy and easily gets rid of the slashes of wind. Skarmory then covers its head in steel energy and heads for Corviknight as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight counter with your Iron Head!" Ash calls. Corviknight nods as he covers his head in steel energy, flies forward and collides with Skarmory. When the two mons collide, they begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. They continue to do that until they bounce away from each other, Corviknight manages to stop himself as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight use Hurricane!" Ash calls. Corviknight lets out a roar as he flaps his wings fast and summons a large Hurricane that heads for Skarmory as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory use Hyper Beam!" Falkner calls. Skarmory lets out a roar and fires out a big orange beam from its mouth. The Hyper Beam easily destroys the Hurricane and heads for Corviknight as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight block!" Ash calls. Corviknight quickly brings up his wings and blocks the Hyper Beam as when the beam makes contact it explodes. Out of the smoke appears Ash's Corviknight who's sent flying a few feet away as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory use Swords Dance then Giga Impact!" Falkner calls. Skarmory lets out a roar as it sharply increases its physical attack power, covers its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and shoots forward heading for Corviknight as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight use Hone Claws and counter with your Giga Impact!" Ash calls. Corviknight nods as he raises his physical attack power and accuracy. Corviknight then covers his body in an orange sphere with purple streaks, shoots forward and collides with Skarmory. When the two mons collide, they begin pushing each other back and forth until there's an explosion. Out of the smoke appears the two mons who are flying in the air at a fast speed as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight use Aerial Ace!" "You too Skarmory!" Both trainers' call. Up in the air Corviknight along with Skarmory speed up and begin clashing with each other in the air repeatedly creating shockwaves. They clash one more time then back away from each other as Ash speaks.

"Use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls. Corviknight fires out a steel beam from his mouth that heads for Skarmory as Falkner speaks.

"Dodge then use Hyper Beam!" Falkner calls. Skarmory easily evades the steel beam by moving to the left then fires out a large orange beam that heads for Corviknight as Ash speaks.

"Counter with Giga Impact!" Ash calls. Corviknight lets out a roar as he covers his body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and shoots forward colliding with the Hyper Beam. The beam tries to push Corviknight back, but the steel bird lets out a roar increasing his power and is easily going through the beam. Falkner has a surprised look on his face as before he can say anything Corviknight destroys the Hyper Beam and hits Skarmory causing damage to the mon as Ash speaks.

"Way to go Corviknight!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer with Corviknight nodding. Over with Falkner he has a smile on his face and speaks.

"You shouldn't be celebrating Ash as you just made a mistake." Falkner says making Ash confused as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory use Flash Cannon!" Falkner calls with Skarmory nodding as it fires out the steel beam Ash speaks.

"Corviknight dodge!" Ash calls. When Corviknight goes to dodge the Flash Cannon makes contact with him, creating an explosion as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears Corviknight's okay but can feel that his special defense has decreased as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight let's counter! Use Air Slash!" Ash calls with the mon nodding as he flaps his wings forward firing out multiple slashes of wind that head for Skarmory as Falkner speaks.

"Dodge Skarmory then use Iron Head!" Falkner calls. Skarmory easily evades the slashes of wind, covers its head in steel energy, flies forward and hits Corviknight hard in the face causing damage to the mon and surprising Ash as he speaks.

"Hit it back with Iron Head!" Ash calls with Corviknight nodding as he covers his head in steel energy and slams his head into Skarmory's causing damage to the mon and making it fly back a couple feet away. Skarmory groans a little in pain but then looks at Corviknight with Falkner smiling as he speaks.

"Skarmory fly forward!" Falkner calls with Skarmory nodding as it flies forward and instantly reaches Corviknight surprising the mon along with Ash as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight use Flash Cannon!" "Dodge Skarmory then use Steel Wing!" Both trainers' call. Corviknight quickly fires out the steel beam, but Skarmory easily evades the attack by dodging to the right. Skarmory then covers its wings in steel energy and hits Corviknight hard across the face causing damage to him as Ash speaks.

"What's going on? Why can't Corviknight land any of his attacks?" Ash questions as Falkner speaks.

"You really don't know? Allow me to enlighten you." Falkner says making Ash look at him as Falkner continues to speak.

"My Skarmory has the ability Weak Armor which lowers the users physical defense but in exchange increases their speed whenever they get hit by a physical attacking move." Falkner says with Ash nodding as he speaks.

"So, that's why it's been difficult for Corviknight to land his attacks." Ash says with Falkner nodding as he speaks.

"Yes, and seeing that your Corviknight has landed two physical attacks on Skarmory his speed has increased by 2." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Even so your Skarmory's physical defense has been lowered meaning that Corviknight's physical attacks will do more damage than before." Ash says as Falkner speaks.

"That is true, but I have a way for Skarmory to deal with that. Skarmory use Iron Defense!" Falkner calls. Skarmory shines brightly and increases its physical defense. Ash has a surprised look on his face as off to the side Brock speaks.

"This isn't good now Corviknight won't be able to use his physical attacks on Skarmory as it can just increase its defense again with Iron Defense. Also, with its speed increased it'll make it harder for Corviknight to land any of his attacks." Brock says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash has a surprised look on his face and is gritting his teeth as Falkner speaks.

"Now then let's keep going shall we. Skarmory use Flash Cannon!" Falkner calls. Skarmory instantly fires out a steel beam that heads for Corviknight as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight use Protect!" Ash calls. Corviknight quickly summons a protective barrier and blocks the beam creating an explosion. When the explosion clears the barrier goes down and Skarmory instantly appears in front of Corviknight. Just when Ash's about to call for a command Falkner speaks first.

"Skarmory use Metal Sound!" Falkner calls. Skarmory nods and lets out a loud metallic screeching noise that connects with Corviknight hurting not only his ears but also Ash along with Pikachu's ears. Up in the air Corviknight can feel his special defense lowering as Falkner speaks.

"Yes, that's it Skarmory now slow it down with Icy Wind then finish it off with Hyper Beam!" Falkner calls with Skarmory nodding as it replaces the Metal Sound for an Icy Wind. When the attack lands on Corviknight's body it suddenly bounces back and hits Skarmory not only doing damage but also lowering Skarmory's speed. Falkner has a surprised look on his face as he speaks.

"Wait does your Corviknight have the Mirror Armor ability?" Falkner asks as Ash looks at him and smirks. Off to the side Casey speaks.

"What's Mirror Armor?" Casey asks as Brock speaks.

"Mirror Armor is an ability where if the opponent uses a stat lowering move the ability activates and bounces it back at the user." Brock says as Casey speaks.

"If that's the case then how come it didn't bounce back the Metal Sound?" Casey asks as Brock speaks.

"The reason it didn't work on Metal Sound is that Metal Sound is a status lowering move that only targets the opponents defense and Mirror Armor only reflects stat lowering moves back at the user not status condition moves like Metal Sound and other sound base moves that only cause stat changes." Brock answers with Casey nodding. Back on the battlefield Falkner speaks.

"Your Corviknight's ability caught be by surprise but we're not going to fall for it again! Skarmory use Metal Sound!" Falkner calls with Skarmory nodding as when it goes to use the move Ash speaks.

"Corviknight quick use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Corviknight quickly flaps his wings forward, firing out multiple slashes of wind that connect with Skarmory causing damage to the mon as Ash speaks.

"Great now use Hurricane!" Ash calls. Corviknight lets out a mighty roar and summons a large Hurricane as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory fly away!" Falkner calls but unfortunately for him Skarmory can't dodge in time because the Air Slash made it flinch. This allows for the Hurricane to suck Skarmory in, making it spin around and cause damage to it. Skarmory continues to be spun around until the Hurricane disappears and Skarmory's now high into the air. Skarmory's groaning in pain then sees Corviknight flying towards it as Ash speaks.

"Use Giga Impact!" Ash calls. Corviknight nods as he covers his body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and heads for Skarmory going to hit the mon as Falkner speaks.

"Did you forget about my Skarmory's ability? You'll only make him faster." Falkner says as Ash smiles and speaks.

"Oh, I didn't forget I just needed Skarmory to stay still." Ash responds making Falkner confused. Up in the air Corviknight's about to hit Skarmory as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight stop!" Ash calls with the steel bird, nodding as he immediately stops right in front of Skarmory then opens his mouth as Ash speaks.

"Use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls. Corviknight lets out a roar and fires out a steel beam that consumes Skarmory creating an explosion as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory!" Falkner calls in worry as when the dust clears it showcases Skarmory groaning in pain as its special defense gets lowered. Ash then calls for his next command.

"Corviknight use Hurricane!" "Dodge Skarmory!" Both trainers' call. Before Skarmory can dodge Corviknight lets out a mighty roar summoning a big Hurricane that consumes Skarmory and begins to spin the mon around causing damage to it. Skarmory's groaning in pain as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory use Hyper Beam to break free!" Falkner calls. Inside the hurricane Skarmory lets out a roar and fires out a big orange beam from its mouth breaking out of the hurricane. Once the hurricane is gone Corviknight suddenly appears in front of Skarmory, surprising the mon as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Corviknight quickly fires multiple slashes of wind that hit Skarmory causing more damage to it. Skarmory's groaning in pain as Ash speaks.

"Okay Corviknight it's time we finish Skarmory off! Use Hone Claws then Body Press!" Ash calls. Corviknight flies up above Skarmory, increases his physical attack along with accuracy then showcases his stomach and begins falling towards the mon as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory dodge!" Falkner calls. Unfortunately for Falkner Skarmory can't dodge because the Air Slash made it flinch. This allows for Corviknight to hit Skarmory with his stomach, causing damage and sends Skarmory crashing back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Falkner speaks.

"Skarmory!" Falkner calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Skarmory laying on its back knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Skarmory's unable to battle Corviknight's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Ash along with Pikachu and Corviknight to cheer. Off to the side Misty, Brock, Togetic, and Casey cheer too. Back on the battlefield Falkner returns Skarmory back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and to get a good rest. Falkner then puts the ball away as on the other side of the battlefield Ash looks at Corviknight and speaks.

"Great job Corviknight I knew you could do it!" Ash says with Corviknight nodding as over with Falkner he speaks.

"It was impressive in how you took down my Skarmory and now it's time for me to get revenge. Braviary Go!" Falkner says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Braviary. Once the mon appears it has a serious look on its face and looks at Corviknight with Corviknight looking at it. Ash looks at the mon and begins to think.

"So, a Breviary's next Corviknight's a little tired from his battle with Skarmory but he should still be able to continue." Ash says to himself as he looks at Corviknight and speaks.

"Corviknight I'm keeping you in!" Ash says with the mon nodding as he along with Braviary get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Use Flash Cannon!" Ash calls. Corviknight fires out a steel beam from his mouth that heads for Braviary as Falkner speaks.

"Dodge then use Air Slash!" Falkner calls. Braviary manages to easily dodge the Flash Cannon then flaps its wings forward sending out multiple slashes of win that head for Corviknight as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight get rid of them with Steel Wing then use Giga Impact!" Ash calls. Corviknight nods as he covers his wings in steel energy, flies forward and is easily getting rid of the slashes of wind. Corviknight then covers his body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and shoots forward going to hit Braviary as Falkner speaks.

"Use Substitute!" Falkner calls surprising Ash as when Corviknight's about to hit Braviary the mon quickly creates a clone that takes its place causing Corviknight to hit it and destroy it. Corviknight begins to look for Braviary as the mon suddenly appears in front of him and has its mouth opened as Falkner speaks.

"Use Heat Wave!" "Corviknight use Protect!" Both trainers' call. Before Corviknight can use Protect Braviary instantly shoots out a big wave of fire from its mouth that collides with Corviknight causing super effective damage to the mon. Corviknight's crying out in pain as Falkner speaks.

"Now finish it off with Close Combat!" Falkner calls. Once Braviary's done using Heat Wave it flies forward and begins hitting Corviknight with its wings and feet repeatedly. Braviary continues to hit Corviknight until it hits the mon one more time and sends him crashing back down on the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"Corviknight!" Ash calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Corviknight lying on his stomach and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Corviknight's unable to battle Braviary's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Falkner and Braviary to smile. Off to the side Casey speaks.

"Darn Ash's Corviknight lost." Casey says as Brock speaks.

"Ash wasn't expecting Falkner's Braviary to know moves like Substitute and Heat Wave which caught him off guard and costed Corviknight to lose." Brock says with Casey nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Corviknight back to his Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and puts the ball back on his belt. Once he does that, Ash pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Noivern, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends Noivern in. Once Noivern appears he lets out a mighty roar then looks at Braviary with Braviary looking at him. Over with Falkner he looks at Ash's Noivern and speaks.

"So, a Noivern's your next choice." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Yep, and he's going to take down your Braviary!" Ash states with Noivern agreeing with him and making Falkner smirk as the two mons get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Noivern use Boomburst!" Ash calls. Noivern roars and fires out a big wave of sound that heads for Braviary as Falkner speaks.

"Kick it away with Superpower!" Falkner calls. Braviary nods as it bulks up its body and kicks the Boomburst upward with its right leg causing it to explode in the air. Ash along with Noivern are a little surprised but Ash quickly recomposes himself and speaks.

"Noivern use Acrobatics!" Ash calls. Noivern glows in blue flying energy and shoots forward heading for Braviary as Falkner speaks.

"Counter with Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. Braviary shoots forward and collides with Noivern. When the two mons collide, they begin pushing each other back and forth trying to overpower the other. As they continue to do that Ash speaks.

"Noivern boost your power with Dragon Rush!" Ash calls. Noivern nods as he lets out a roar, covers his body in dragon energy and begins to overpower Braviary. A couple seconds later Noivern manages to knock Braviary away, making it spin out of control as Ash speaks.

"Use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls. Noivern covers his mouth in purple dragon energy and fires out a big dragon beam that heads for Braviary as Falkner speaks.

"Use Substitute!" Falkner calls. Just when the Dragon Pulse is about to hit Braviary the mon quickly summons a clone of itself letting it take the hit instead. Braviary's now high in the air and looks at Noivern as Falkner speaks.

"Braviary use Rockslide!" Falkner calls. Braviary summons multiple large boulders around itself and sends them at Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Noivern get rid of them with Boomburst!" Ash calls. Noivern lets out a roar and fires out a big wave of sound that easily destroys the big boulders and heads for Braviary as Falkner speaks.

"Braviary knock it away with Superpower then use Giga Impact!" Falkner calls. Braviary nods as it bulks up its body and easily kicks the Boomburst away with its right leg. Braviary then covers its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and heads for Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Noivern block with your wings!" Ash calls. Noivern nods as he quickly brings up his wings allowing for Braviary to collide with them. Once Braviary makes contact with Noivern's wings it begins trying to knock them away but is having a hard time as Noivern isn't backing down. Braviary then sees Noivern open his mouth as Ash speaks.

"Noivern use Dragon Pulse!" Braviary use Substitute!" Both trainers' call. When Noivern fires out the dragon beam Braviary quickly summons a clone letting it take its place instead. Once Braviary does that Ash smirks and speaks.

"Noivern use Hurricane!" Ash calls. Noivern nods as he lets out a mighty roar summoning a large Hurricane that heads for Braviary. Before Falkner can call for a command the move sucks in Braviary and begins to spin the mon around causing damage to it as Ash speaks.

"Noivern now that Braviary's stuck use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls. Noivern fires out a large dragon beam that connects with the Hurricane and mixes with it turning the Hurricane purple. Falkner has a surprised look on his face as off to the side Casey speaks.

"What's that?!" Casey asks as Misty speaks.

"That's Dragon Hurricane it's a move that Ash used back in the Kanto League." Misty answers with Casey nodding. Back on the battlefield Braviary's crying out in pain until there's an explosion. Out of the smoke appears Braviary who begins falling from the air as Ash speaks.

"Noivern let's end this use Acrobatics then Boomburst!" Ash calls with Noivern nodding as he glows in blue flying energy and shoots forward heading for Braviary as Falkner speaks.

"Braviary counter with Giga Impact!" Falkner calls but unfortunately for him Braviary's too worn out. This allows for Noivern to hit Braviary repeatedly with Acrobatics then once he's done with that Noivern lets out a mighty roar and fires out a wave of sound that connects with Braviary and sends the mon crashing back on the ground creating an explosion as Falkner speaks.

"Braviary!" Falkner calls in worry as when the smoke clears everyone can see Braviary laying on its back and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Braviary's unable to battle Noivern's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Ash, Pikachu and Noivern to cheer. Off to the side Ash's friend cheer too as Casey speaks.

"Ash's Noivern did it!" Casey says as Misty speaks.

"And he took no damage." Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Falkner returns Braviary back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and puts the ball away. Once he does that he looks over at Ash and speaks.

"You did well in taking down Braviary." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Thank you I knew that Noivern could block Braviary's Giga Impact then when you called for Subsitutue I knew that was my chance to have Noivern use Hurricane and Dragon Pulse to not only trap Braviary but also damage it. I also know that the more times you use Substitute your health gets lower so before you could counter, I had Noivern finish Braviary off with Acrobatics and Boomburst." Ash says with Falkner nodding as he speaks.

"I must say you really thought things through but now I'm curious to see how you'll deal with my final 3 Pokémon." Falkner says as he pulls out his next Pokeball and goes to throw it.

"Aerodactyl, come out!" Falkner says as he throws the ball forward and sends in a Aerodactyl. When the mon appears it lets out a mighty roar then looks at Noivern with Noivern looking at it. Off to the side Misty speaks.

"So, his next Pokémon is a Aerodactyl." Misty says as Casey speaks.

"This is my first time seeing one it's big." Casey says in shock. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Aerodactyl and begins to think.

"This Aerodactyl looks strong I could probably keep Noivern in since he didn't take any damage from Braviary, but it'd probably be best to switch him out now and save him for later." Ash says to himself as he pulls out Noivern's Pokeball and speaks.

"Noivern return!" Ash says with the mon nodding as he goes back into his Pokeball. Ash then puts the ball away as Falkner speaks.

"So, you've returned your Noivern." Falkner says with Ash nodding as he speaks.

"Yep, because I feel like this one has a much better chance against Aerodactyl." Ash responds while holding his next Pokeball in his hand and goes to throw it.

"Gyarados, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out Gyarados. Once Gyarados appears he lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave. Then once Gyarados is done roaring he looks at Aerodactyl with the mon looking at him. Off to the side Brock speaks.

"Smart choice on Ash's part as he now has the type advantage." Brock says with Misty and Casey nodding. Back on the battlefield Falkner looks at Ash's Gyarados and speaks.

"Your Gyarados is next huh? I remember watching it battle in the Kanto League and was surprised to see that it can fly. It must've taken a lot of training in order for it to learn how." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Your right it was a lot of training, but Gyarados has now mastered flying." Ash says with Gyarados nodding and making Falkner smirk as he speaks.

"It's good to hear but it's still no match for my Pokémon who are natural born flyers." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"We'll see about that. Get ready Gyarados!" Ash says with the sea serpent nodding as he along with Aerodactyl get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados let's attack first! Use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Gyarados fires out a large stream of water from his mouth that heads for Aerodactyl as Falkner speaks.

"Counter with Hyper Beam!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl lets out a roar and fires out a large orange beam from its mouth that collides with the Hydro Pump creating an explosion. Ash then calls for his next command.

"Gyarados use Waterfall and boost your speed with Bounce!" Ash calls. Gyarados covers his body in water and shoots forward. Gyarados increases his speed with Bounce and goes to hit Aerodactyl as Falkner speaks.

"Counter with Strength!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl bulks up its body, shoots forward and collides with Gyarados. When they collide, they create a shockwave and begin trying to overpower the other. Falkner sees that Gyarados is slowly overpowering Aerodactyl and calls for a command.

"Aerodactyl move to the right and use Stealth Rock!" Falkner calls with Aerodactyl nodding as it quickly moves to the right causing Gyarados to stumble forward a little bit. Aerodactyl then sends out multiple small rock all around the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls with Gyarados nodding as when he goes to use the move Falkner speaks.

"Aerodactyl use Roar!" Falkner calls surprising Ash as Aerodactyl lets out a mighty roar that connects with Gyarados and sends him back in his Pokeball. Once Gyarados is gone Noivern is forced to come back out, making the mon confused as he then gets hit with Stealth Rock causing super effective damage to him as Ash speaks.

"Noivern are you okay?" Ash asks with the mon nodding as Falkner speaks.

"Use Hyper Beam!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl roars and fires out a large orange beam that heads for Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Noivern dodge!" Ash calls. Noivern sees the beam heading for him and quickly flies in the air causing the beam to hit the battlefield instead. Once Noivern's in the air Falkner speaks.

"Use Stone Edge!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl summons multiple sharp stones around itself and sends them at Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Get rid of them with Boomburst!" Ash calls. Noivern roars and fires out a large wave of sound that connects with the sharp stones and is easily destroying them. After the Boomburst destroys the final Stone Edge, it heads for Aerodactyl as Falkner speaks.

"Block Aerodactyl and use Dragon Dance!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl brings up its wings and blocks the Boomburst as there's then an explosion. When the explosion clears purple draconic energy dances around Aerodactyl increasing its physical attack and speed. Aerodactyl looks at Noivern as Falkner speaks.

"Use Stone Edge!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl roars and fires out multiple sharp stones at Noivern Ash speaks.

"That's not going to work! Noivern use Boomburst!" Ash calls. Noivern roars and fires out a large wave of sound that easily destroys the sharp stones and heads for Aerodactyl as Falkner speaks.

"Use Giga Impact!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl roars as it covers its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks, flies forward and collides with the Boomburst. When Aerodactyl collides with the attack it's easily going through and is heading for Noivern. Ash along with Noivern have surprised looks on their faces as once Aerodactyl destroys the Boomburst it goes to hit Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Noivern quick use Protect!" Ash calls. Noivern nods and quickly summons a protective barrier as Falkner speaks.

"Now Aerodactyl stop and charge up a Meteor Beam!" Falkner calls surprising Ash as when Aerodactyl's about to make contact with the barrier it comes to a stop and begins to charge up the Meteor Beam. A couple seconds later Noivern's barrier goes down and looks at Aerodactyl who has completely charged the beam and has gained a special attack increase. Aerodactyl is about to fire it as Ash speaks.

"Noivern quick use Supersonic!" "It's too late! Do it Aerodactyl!" Both trainers' call. Before Noivern can use Supersonic Aerodactyl lets out a mighty roar and fires out a large yellow beam that consumes Noivern sending him high into the air until there's an explosion. Ash then speaks.

"Noivern!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Noivern who falls back on the battlefield and lands on his stomach. Noivern's groaning in pain and tries to stand back up but ultimately stays down and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Noivern's unable to battle Aerodactyl's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Falkner to smile while Aerodactyl roars in victory. On the other side of the battlefield Ash's sad that Noivern lost then returns the mon back to his Pokeball. Ash tells Noivern thank you and puts the ball back on his belt. Once he does Falkner speaks.

"Did you like that strategy that Aerodactyl used against Noivern? It was the same one that your Corviknight used against my Skarmory." Falkner says making Ash look at him and speak.

"I'll admit that did catch me by surprise but we're not going to fall for that again! Gyarados come back out!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends Gyarados back in. Once he appears he immediately takes damage from the Stealth Rock's making the sea serpent groan a little in pain. Gyarados looks at Aerodactyl and has a serious look on his face with Aerodactyl looking at him. Ash then begins to think.

"That's right the Stealth Rock is still active I have to make sure that Gyarados doesn't get hit with Roar again because otherwise my other Pokémon will take Stealth Rock damage too." Ash says to himself as once he breaks out of his thoughts the ref calls for the battle to continue. Falkner calls for a command.

"Aerodactyl use Roar!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl lets out a mighty roar that heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados fly in the air to dodge and increase your speed with Bounce!" Ash calls. Gyarados nods as he covers his body in blue flying energy and quickly flies in the air avoiding the roar. Falkner looks at Gyarados, sees him floating in the air and speaks.

"So, it really can fly but that's not enough to scare us." Falkner says to himself as he calls for his next command.

"Aerodactyl use Hyper Beam!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl fires out a large orange beam from its mouth as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados counter with your Hyper Beam!" Ash calls. Gyarados lets out a mighty roar and fires his own Hyper beam that collides with Aerodactyl's. When the two beams collide, they begin pushing each other back and forth trying to see who's stronger. A couple seconds later Aerodactyl's Hyper Beam begins to overpower Gyarados's and heads for the serpent as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados dodge!" Ash calls. Gyarados quickly moves to the right and dodges the beam. When he does Aerodactyl suddenly appears in front of him and has charged up a Meteor Beam as Falkner speaks.

"Do it Aerodactyl!" "Gyarados hit it with Aqua Tail!" Both trainers' call. Aerodactyl goes to fire the Meteor Beam, but Gyarados quickly covers his tail in water and slaps Aerodactyl hard across the face causing super effective damage to the mon. Aerodactyl groans in pain but then looks at Gyarados and still has the Meteor Beam in its mouth as Falkner speaks.

"Fire Aerodactyl!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl lets out a mighty roar and fires out a large yellow beam that consumes Gyarados. Inside the beam Gyarados roars in pain and is sent crashing back on the battlefield, creating an explosion as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry as when the smoke clears it reveals Gyarados lying on his right side. Gyarados's groaning in pain as Falkner speaks.

"Aerodactyl it's time to finish Gyarados off! Use Dragon Dance then Giga Impact!" Falkner calls. Aerodactyl lets out a mighty roar as purple draconic energy dances around its body increasing its physical attack and speed. Aerodactyl then covers its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks and shoots downward heading for Gyarados. Off to the side the group have worried looks on their faces seeing Aerodactyl getting closer to Gyarados. Then just when Aerodactyl's about to hit Gyarados Ash speaks.

"Gyarados use Thunder!" Ash calls. "It knows Thunder?!" Falkner says in surprise. Back on the battlefield Gyarados opens his eyes and lets out a mighty roar summoning a large electric bolt from the sky that connects with Aerodactyl and begins to shock the mon. Inside the Thunder Aerodactyl's crying in pain from the attack as Ash speaks.

"Use Hurricane!" Ash calls. Gyarados continues to roar and summons a large Hurricane that consumes Aerodactyl making it spin out of control as Falkner speaks.

"Aerodactyl ride the wind and break free!" Falkner calls. When Aerodactyl goes to do that, it stops as it feels electricity all throughout its body as it's not only paralyzed but the Hurricane is also picking up all of the Stealth Rock's and is causing them to hit Aerodactyl. Falkner grits his teeth as Ash smiles and speaks.

"Gyarados use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls. Gyarados stands back up and fires out a large stream of water that collides with the Hurricane and mixes with it, turning it blue. Off to the side Misty speaks.

"That's Hydro Hurricane!" Misty says happily as back on the battlefield once the Hurricane disappears Aerodactyl begins falling back towards the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados let's finish this! Use Waterfall and boost yourself with Bounce!" Ash calls. Gyarados lets out a roar as he covers his body in water and shoots forward. Gyarados begins to speed himself up with Bounce and is going to hit Aerodactyl as Falkner speaks.

"Dodge Aerodactyl!" Falkner calls but was too late as Gyarados hits Aerodactyl causing super effective damage and sending the mon flying. Aerodactyl's sent crashing back on the battlefield a few feet away and creates a dust cloud as Falkner speaks.

"Aerodactyl!" Falkner calls in worry as when the dust clears everyone can see Aerodactyl laying on its stomach and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Aerodactyl's unable to battle Gyarados's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Ash and Pikachu to cheer while Gyarados roars in victory. Ash's friends cheer too as back on the battlefield Falkner returns Aerodactyl back to its Pokeball. Falkner tells the mon thank you and puts the ball away. Falkner looks over at Ash and speaks .

"I must say Ash your Gyarados is not only really strong but is also a great flyer." Falkner says with Ash nodding as Falkner speaks.

"But now it's this one's turn! Kilowattrel Go!" Falkner says as he throws the ball forward and sends out a Kilowattrel. When the mon appears, it has a serious look on its face and looks at Gyarados with Gyarados looking at it. Ash begins to think.

"So, a Kilowattrel's his next Pokémon I remember that Nemona's was very fast and I'm pretty sure that it's the same for Falkner's Kilowattrel as well. Gyarados took a lot of damage from Aerodactyl, so it'd be best to switch him out." Ash says to himself as he pulls out Gyarados's Pokeball and speaks.

"Gyarados return!" Ash says with Gyarados nodding as he goes back in his Pokeball. Ash then puts the ball back on his belt as he pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Charizard, I choose you!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends in Charizard. Once Charizard appears he lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave. When Charizard's done roaring he looks at Kilowattrel with the electric bird looking at him Falkner speaks.

"Charizard's his next choice huh." Falkner says to himself as he looks at Kilowattrel and speaks.

"Kilowattrel get ready!" Falkner says with the mon nodding as it along with Charizard get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Falkner speaks.

"Use Thunder!" Falkner calls. Kilowattrel sparks its body and fires a large electric bolt at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Counter with Flamethrower!" Ash calls. Charizard covers his mouth in fire and fires out a stream of fire that connects with the Thunder creating an explosion as Falkner speaks.

"Use Charge Beam!" Falkner calls. Out of the smoke appears an electric beam that connects with Charizard causing super effective damage. Charizard groans in pain then looks over at Kilowattrel who got a special attack increase and is sparking its body as Falkner speaks.

"Use Discharge!" Falkner calls. Kilowattrel lets out a mighty roar and fires out multiple bolts of electricity that head for Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Dig!" Ash calls. Charizard nods and quickly digs underground avoiding the electric bolts. When the Discharge stops Ash calls for his next command.

"Charizard use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls. Out from the ground appears a large purple dragon beam that heads for Kilowattrel as Falkner speaks.

"Dodge!" Falkner calls with Kilowattrel nodding as it easily avoids the dragon beam by backing away as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Dragon Claw!" Ash calls. Charizard shoots out of the ground, flies in the air, covers his right claws in green dragon energy and upper cuts Kilowattrel causing damage to the mon as Ash speaks.

"Use Fire Punch!" Ash calls. Before Falkner can call for a command Charizard covers his left fist in fire and punches Kilowattrel hard in the face causing more damage to the mon as Falkner speaks.

"Use Thunder!" "Charizard back away!" Both trainers' call. Kilowattrel roars and fires out a large electric bolt that Charizard dodges. Once he does Falkner speaks.

"Now use Spark then Electro Web!" Falkner calls. Kilowattrel covers its body in electricity, flies forward and rams its head hard into Charizard's stomach causing super effective damage. Kilowattrel backs a few feet away then fires out an electric net that wraps around Charizard, shocking him and causing him to fall back on the battlefield. Ash then speaks.

"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as on the battlefield Charizard's lying on his stomach and is trying to stand up but every time he does, he gets shocked again causing more damage to him. Up in the air Kilowattrel's sparking its body as Falkner speaks.

"Use Thunder!" Falkner calls. Kilowattrel lets out a mighty roar and fires a large electric bolt at the still restrained Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard try using Dig!" Ash calls and when Charizard goes to do that the net shocks him again causing more damage to him. Ash sees that the Thunder is getting closer to Charizard then gets an idea and speaks.

"Charizard burn through the Electro Web with Inferno!" Ash calls. Charizard nods as when he goes to do that the electric net shocks him again, but Charizard doesn't let it stop him and lets out a mighty roar. Charizard releases a large vortex of fire that easily burns through not only the Electro Web but also the Thunder. The Inferno heads for Kilowattrel as Falkner speaks.

"Kilowattrel climb high to dodge!" Falkner calls with the mon nodding as it begins to fly higher in the air getting away from the Inferno Ash speaks.

"Charizard don't let it get away!" Ash calls. Charizard continues to roar increasing the length of his Inferno more and more until it catches up to Kilowattrel and consumes it. Falkner has a surprised look on his face as in the Inferno Kilowattrel's crying out in pain until the Inferno goes away. Once the fire vortex disappears Kilowattrel's groaning in pain as Falkner speaks.

"Kilowattrel hit Charizard back with Thunder!" Falkner calls with the mon nodding as when it goes to use the move it then becomes consumed in flames showcasing that it now has the burn status. Falkner has a surprised look on his face as Ash speaks.

"Charizard now's your chance use Seismic Toss!" Ash calls with the fire lizard nodding as he quickly flies in the air and reaches Kilowattrel. Charizard grabs the bird and begins to fly high in the air. Charizard keeps going higher and higher and once he gets high enough, he begins to spin looking like he's circling the globe. As Charizard's spinning Kilowattrel's becoming dizzy as Ash speaks.

"Do it Charizard!" Ash calls with the fire lizard roaring as he stops spinning and throws Kilowattrel back towards the battlefield. Kilowattrel's descending fast until it comes crashing on the battlefield, creating an explosion and also causing the battlefield to shake a little bit as Falkner speaks.

"Kilowattrel!" Falkner calls in worry as Charizard lands back down to see the results. When the smoke clears everyone can see Kilowattrel laying on its stomach and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Kilowattrel's unable to battle Charizard's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Ash and Pikachu to cheer while Charizard roars and fires a Flamethrower towards the sky in victory. In the stands Ash's friends cheer too as Casey speaks.

"Now Ash just needs to take down Falkner's last Pokémon and he'll win." Casey says with Misty and Brock nodding. Back on the battlefield Falkner returns Kilowattrel back to its Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and puts it away. He then looks over at Ash who's looking at Charizard and speaks.

"Way to go Charizard I knew you could do it and now we just have one more." Ash says with the fire lizard nodding as Falkner speaks.

"Yes, I do have one more Pokémon left but before I bring it out, I just want to first congratulate you for making it this far." Falkner says with Ash nodding as Falkner pulls out his final Pokeball and speaks.

"Now here it is my final Pokémon. Pidgeot Go!" Falkner says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Pidgeot. When the mon appears it lands on the battlefield and has a very serious look on its face and glares at Charizard with the fire lizard glaring back as Ash speaks.

"There it is his Pidgeot." Ash says to himself when he takes a closer look at Pidgeot he sees that it has a necklace around its neck and inside it is a mega stone. Ash gets a surprised look on his face as he speaks.

"Is that a Mega Stone?" Ash asks with Falkner nodding as he speaks.

"Yes, it is and now it's time. Are you ready Pidgeot?!" Falkner asks with the bird nodding as Falkner takes out a keystone and touches it causing it along with Pidgeot's mega stone to glow as Falkner speaks.

"Pidgeot Mega Evolve!" Falkner says as the stone in his hand and Pidgeot's mega stone glow brighter and send out beams of light that connect with each other. Pidgeot lets out a roar as it begins to glow and starts to change. Once the light fades what was once a normal Pidgeot is now a mega Pidgeot and has its eyes closed. Pidgeot opens its eyes, spreads out its wings and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that tries to blow Ash, Pikachu, and Charizard back but they stand their ground. When Pidgeot's done roaring it looks forward and has a serious look on its face with Ash along with his Pokémon looking at it. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"I wasn't expecting him to mega evolve his Pidgeot." Misty says as Brock speaks.

"Me neither and now the battle just got a lot harder for Ash and his Pokémon." Brock says as back on the battlefield Ash along with his Pokémon are still surprised as Falkner speaks.

"From the looks on your faces I can see that you weren't expecting this now, were you?" Falkner asks as Ash speaks.

"No, I wasn't but we're not backing down right Charizard?!" Ash says with Charizard roaring in agreement making Falkner smirk as he speaks.

"I like your confidence but against my Pidgeot you'll need more than that." Falkner says as he gets a serious look on his face his Pidgeot along with Charizard get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Flamethrower!" Ash calls. Charizard roars and fires out a large stream of fire from his mouth that heads for Pidgeot as Falkner speaks.

"Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. Pidgeot nods as it shoots forward at blinding speed, easily cuts through the Flamethrower and hits Charizard causing damage to him and making him slide back a few feet away as Ash speaks.

"Charizard are you okay?!" Ash asks with the fire lizard nodding as he then groans in pain Ash begins to think.

"That was fast. Now that Pidgeot's Mega Evolved its speed and power have increased too I need to be careful of that." Ash says to himself as he calls for his next command.

"Charizard use Inferno!" Ash calls. Charizard nods as he roars and summons a large flaming vortex that heads for Pidgeot Falkner speaks.

"That doesn't scare us! Pidgeot use Hurricane!" Falkner calls. Pidgeot lets out a mighty roar and summons a big Hurricane that not only dwarfs the Inferno but also easily destroys it. Ash along with Charizard have surprised looks on their faces but don't stay in shock for long as the Hurricane is coming for Charizard Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Swords Dance and try to get rid of the Hurricane with Thunder Punch!" Ash calls. Charizard nods as he sharply increases his physical attack power, covers both of his fists in electricity and collides with the Hurricane. When Charizard does that the Hurricane begins to slowly push Charizard back, making it difficult for him as Ash speaks.

"Come on Charizard don't give up!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer with Charizard nodding as he lets out a mighty roar putting more and more power into his fists until he completely destroys the Hurricane. Once Charizard does that he's panting heavily as then Pidgeot appears in front of him Falkner speaks.

"Use Aerial Ace!" Charizard dodge!" Both trainers' call. Unfortunately for Ash Charizard can't dodge in time as Pidgeot hits Charizard going past him and flies back in the air. Charizard groans in pain then falls on his back as Ash speaks.

"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as over with Charizard he tries to stand up but ultimately stays down. The ref makes the call.

"Charizard's unable to battle Pidgeot's the winner!" The ref calls making Falkner along with his Pidgeot smile. In the stands Ash's friends are surprised that Charizard lost. Back on the battlefield Ash's sad that Charizard lost and returns the mon back to his Pokeball. Ash tells Charizard thank you and puts the ball back on his belt. Ash then pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Gyarados come back out!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends Gyarados back in. Once Gyarados appears he lets out a mighty roar then groans a little in pain because of his previous battle with Aerodactyl. Off to the side Casey speaks.

"Gyarados is back out." Casey says as Misty speaks.

"Looks like he's still worn out from his previous battle against Aerodactyl." Misty says as Brock speaks.

"Hopefully Gyarados is able to defeat Pidgeot fast." Brock says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados use Stone Edge!" Ash calls. Gyarados roars as he summons multiple sharp stones around himself and sends them at Pidgeot as Falkner speaks.

"Use Steel Wing!" Falkner calls. Pidgeot covers its wings in steel energy, flies forward and is easily cutting through the sharp stones. When it gets rid of the final Stone Edge it heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.

"Now Gyarados use Thunder!" Ash calls. Gyarados roars and summons a large electric bolt from the sky that goes to hit Pidgeot as Falkner speaks.

"Dodge with Agility then use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. Pidgeot nods as it speeds up and disappears avoiding the Thunder. Gyarados has a surprised look on his face as a couple seconds later Pidgeot appears on Gyarados's right side, shoots forward and hits Gyarados hard across the face causing damage to him. Gyarados groans in pain then sees Pidgeot flying high into the air as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados use Hyper Beam!" Ash calls. Gyarados roars and fires out a large orange beam that heads for Pidgeot as Falkner speaks.

"Pidgeot turn around and break through it with Brave Bird!" Falkner calls. Pidgeot nods as it turns around, shines a bright blue and shoots forward colliding with the Hyper Beam. The orange beam does push Pidgeot back a little bit but a couple seconds later Pidgeot begins to easily cut through the beam, surprising Ash along with Gyarados. Pidgeot keeps cutting through the beam until it hits Gyarados hard in the face creating an explosion as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry as out of the smoke appears Pidgeot who flies back over to Falkner's side of the battlefield, takes some recoil damage and looks forward waiting to see the results. When the smoke clears everyone can see Gyarados lying on his stomach and is knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Gyarados is unable to battle Pidgeot's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Falkner and Pidgeot to smile. Off to the side Brock speaks.

"And now they both have one Pokémon left." Brock says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Gyarados back to his Pokeball, tells the mon thank you and puts the ball away. Ash then pulls out his final Pokeball, looks at it, takes a deep breath then looks forward and speaks.

"Pidgeot, I Choose You!" Ash says as he throws the ball forward and sends out his Pidgeot. Once the mon appears he looks forward and has a serious look on his face as Falkner speaks.

"So, your final Pokémon is your Pidgeot do you think it stands a chance against mine who's now mega evolved?" Falkner asks as Ash speaks.

"Yes, I do!" Ash responds as he looks at his Pidgeot and speaks.

"Pidgeot you're the last one left I'm counting on you." Ash says with the bird nodding as he looks at Falkner's Pidgeot with the mon looking at him. Both birds get into battle stances as the ref speaks.

"This is the final battle both trainers have one Pokémon left! Whoever knocks out their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!" The ref says with both trainers and their Pokémon nodding as the ref continues to speak.

"Now let the final match begin!" The ref calls as a gentle wind breeze passes by Ash along with Falkner speak.

"Use Aerial Ace!" Both trainers call with the two birds nodding as they instantly shoot forward and collide with each other. When they do Ash's Pidgeot tries to overpower Falkner's but Falkner's too strong and easily knocks Ash's Pidgeot away. Ash's Pidgeot is sent spinning out of control as Falkner speaks.

"Use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls with his Pidgeot nodding as it shoots forward going to hit Ash's Pidgeot as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot use Double Team!" Ash calls. His Pidgeot nods and quickly summons multiple clones of himself narrowly dodging Falkner's Pidgeot. Ash's Pidgeot looks at Falkner's as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot use Air Slash!" Ash calls. Pidgeot's wings glow and flaps them forward, sending out multiple slashes of wind towards Falkner's Pidgeot as Falkner speaks.

"Pidgeot use Agility then Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls with his Pidgeot nodding as it speeds up more and disappears dodging the slashes of wind. A couple seconds later Falkner's Pidgeot hit's Ash's hard on his right side sending him flying back a few feet away. Ash's Pidgeot groans in pain as Ash speaks.

"Use Quick Attack!" Ash calls his Pidgeot shoots forward going to hit Falkner's Pidgeot as Falkner speaks.

"Dodge with Agility then use Aerial Ace!" Falkner calls. His Pidgeot nods and disappears avoiding Ash's Pidgeot. Ash's Pidgeot begins trying to look for Falkner's but can't find it as he then gets hit in the back. Ash's Pidgeot is sent flying forward a few feet away then looks back and sees Falkner's Pidgeot who has a smile on its face making both Ash and Pidgeot angry as Ash begins to think.

"This isn't good no matter what I do Pidgeot isn't able to damage Falkner's because of just how much faster it is. There has to be a way for Pidgeot to catch up to it." Ash says to himself as he's thinking he remembers two moves that his Pidgeot has and speaks.

"That's it." Ash says to himself as Falkner speaks.

"Just how much longer are you going to stay in thought? Pidgeot let's wrap this up with Hurricane!" Falkner calls with his Pidgeot nodding as it lets out a mighty roar and summons a large Hurricane that heads for Ash's Pidgeot Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot counter with your Hurricane!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he flaps his wings fast and summons a large Hurricane of his own that collides with the other one Falkner speaks.

"If you think that your Pidgeot's Hurricane is going to stop mine then you were wrong." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Actually, I wasn't thinking that at all." Ash responds making Falkner confused as back on the battlefield Falkner's Pidgeot's Hurricane absorbs the other one and becomes bigger as Ash speaks.

"Okay Pidgeot dive into the Hurricane and ride it!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he shoots forward and dives into the move. Ash's Pidgeot begins to ride the Hurricane and is gaining more speed from it as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot shoot out of the Hurricane and head for Falkner's!" Ash says with his Pidgeot nodding as he shoots out of the move and heads for Falkner's Pidgeot going to hit it as Falkner speaks.

"Pidgeot dodge with Agility!" "Oh no you don't!" Pidgeot speed yourself up with Aerial Ace!" Both trainers' call. Before Falkner's Pidgeot can use Aglity Ash's Pidgeot speeds up and rams his head hard into Falkner's Pidgeot's face causing damage to the mon. Falkner's Pidgeot is sent crashing down on the battlefield landing on its back as Falkner speaks.

"Pidgeot!" Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Now that his Pidgeot's out of the way it's time to use this. Pidgeot use Tailwind!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he roars and summons a wind that increases his speed. Over with Falkner he speaks.

"So that's your plan" Falkner says as off to the side Casey speaks.

"What's Tailwind?" Casey asks as Misty speaks.

"Tailwind is a move that increases the speed of the user and party members." Misty answers as Casey speaks.

"So, this means that Ash's Pidgeot is now faster than Falkner's" Casey says as Brock speaks.

"Yes, but Tailwind is a move that only last 3 turns so Ash will need to settle this quickly before it peters out." Brock says with Casey nodding as back on the battlefield Falkner speaks.

"Calling for Tailwind was a smart choice but just because your Pidgeot is now faster than mine doesn't mean that mine still can't beat yours." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"You're right about that so I'm going to do this. Pidgeot use Feather Dance!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he sends multiple feathers at Falkner's Pidgeot which make contact with the mon and sharply lowers its physical attack power. Falkner's a little surprised as Ash speaks.

"There now that your Pidgeot's attack has been lowered it won't be able to do a lot of damage to mine." Ash says while having a smile on his face as Falkner speaks.

"True but even though my Pidgeot's physical attack power is low its special attack power is still the same. Pidgeot use Hurricane!" Falkner calls with his Pidgeot nodding as when it goes to use the move Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot quick use Quick Attack then Steel Wing!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he shoots forward and hits Falkner's Pidgeot causing damage to the mon and stopping it before it could use Hurricane. Ash's Pidgeot then covers his left wing in steel energy and slaps Falkner's Pidgeot hard across the face causing damage to the mon as Falkner speaks.

"Hit it back with your Steel Wing!" "Pidgeot back away!" Both trainers' call. Falkner's Pidgeot covers its wings in steel energy and goes to hit Ash's, but Ash's quickly backs away dodging the attack as Falkner speaks.

"Use Air Slash!" Falkner calls his Pidgeot's wings glow and flaps them forward, sending out multiple slashes of wind at Ash's Pidgeot as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot dodge with Quick Attack then head for Falkner's Pidgeot!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he speeds up and begins to easily evade the slashes of wind. Once Ash's Pidgeot dodges all of them he begins heading for Falkner's Pidgeot going to hit it. Falkner sees that the Tailwind has disappeared and calls for his next command.

"Pidgeot use Agility to dodge then use Hurricane!" Falkner calls with his Pidgeot nodding as when Ash's Pidgeot goes to hit it Falkner's disappears. Falkner's Pidgeot lets out a roar and summons a big Hurricane that goes to consume Ash's Pidgeot as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot fly towards the Hurricane with Brave Bird and speed yourself up with Quick Attack!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he begins flying towards the Hurricane. Ash's Pidgeot covers his body in a shiny blue and begins to make himself faster. Ash's Pidgeot then enters the Hurricane and inside it the mon is groaning a little in pain but manages to keep going and breaks out of the move hitting Falkner's Pidgeot. Falkner's Pidgeot is sent flying back a few feet away then looks over at Ash's Pidgeot who's taking recoil damage as Falkner speaks.

"I love your Pidgeot's spirit Ash, but you'll need more if you want to take down my Pidgeot." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"We have plenty of spirit. Right Pidgeot?!" Ash says with his Pidgeot agreeing with him and making Falkner smirk as he speaks.

"Well then I think its time we kick it up a notch." Falkner says with Ash agreeing with him as both trainers speak.

"Use Aerial Ace!" Both trainers call with the two-mons nodding as they shoot at each other and collide with their heads. When they do Ash's Pidgeot tries to overpower Falkner's but Falkner's is still too strong and pushes Ash's Pidgeot away as Falkner speaks.

"Use Air Slash!" Falkner calls his Pidgeot flaps its wings forward firing out multiple slashes of wind that head for Ash's Pidgeot as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot use Double Team to dodge then use Tailwind and Hurricane!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he summons multiple clones of himself dodging the slashes of wind. Pidgeot then summons a Tailwind along with a big Hurricane that heads for Falkner's Pidgeot as Falkner speaks.

"Use Brave Bird!" Falkner calls his Pidgeot glows a shiny blue, shoots forward and easily destroys the Hurricane. Falkner's Pidgeot goes to hit Ash's as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot counter with your Brave Bird!" Ash calls with his Pidgeot nodding as he glows a shiny blue, shoots forward and collides with Falkner's Pidgeot creating an explosion. Out of the explosion appears the two mons who are flying in the air as their trainers speak.

"Use Aerial Ace!" The two trainers call with the two-mons nodding as they speed up more and begin clashing with each other over and over again creating multiple shockwaves that everyone can see. They then clash one more time and back away from each other as Falkner speaks.

"Use Air Slash!" "Pidgeot use Quick Attack!" Both trainers' call. When Falkner's Pidgeot goes to use Air Slash Ash's Pidgeot quickly shoots forward and hits Falkner's Pidgeot hard in the face causing more damage to the mon as Falkner speaks.

"Pidgeot now that it's close use Steel Wing!" "Pidgeot use Double Team to dodge then use Aerial Ace!" Both trainers' call. Falkner's Pidgeot covers both of its wings in steel energy and goes to hit Ash's Pidgeot who quickly makes multiple clones of himself avoiding the attack. Ash's Pidgeot appears behind Falkner's, shoots forward and hits it hard in the back causing more damage to the mon. Falkner's Pidgeot groans in pain then recomposes itself as Falkner sees that the Tailwind is gone and calls for his next command.

"Pidgeot use Hurricane!" "Pidgeot quick get away!" Both trainers' call. Falkner's Pidgeot roars and summons a large Hurricane that goes to consume Ash's Pidgeot. Ash's Pidgeot's unable to get away as he's not fast enough which allows for the Hurricane to consume him. Inside the Hurricane Ash's Pidgeot is crying out in pain as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot!" Ash calls in worry as Falkner speaks.

"This is the end for your Pidgeot Ash now that it's in that Hurricane it won't be able to battle anymore it's our victory." Falkner says making Ash look at him as he speaks.

"No, it's not over yet Pidgeot can still fight I know he can!" Ash responds as Falkner speaks.

"Well in that case I'll make sure that it's knocked out. Pidgeot use Brave Bird!" Falkner calls with his Pidgeot nodding as it glows a shiny blue and shoots forward going to hit Ash's Pidgeot. Off to the side Brock speaks.

"This isn't good if Falkner's Pidgeot hits Ash's he'll lose." Brock says while having a worried look on his face with Misty, Togetic and Casey having worried looks too. Back on the battlefield Falkner's Pidgeot has entered the Hurricane and is now heading for Ash's Pidgeot who is being spun around in the middle of the move Ash speaks.

"PIDGEOT LOOK OUT!" "PIKA!" Ash along with Pikachu exclaim as Falkner speaks.

"It's over. Do it Pidgeot!" Falkner calls with his Pidgeot nodding as it lets out a roar and goes to hit Ash's Pidgeot as Ash speaks.

"PIDGEOT!" Ash yells as inside the Hurricane we head into Pidgeot's mind. Pidgeot can hear Ash's along with Pikachu's voices telling him to break free, but Pidgeot doesn't know if he can. Pidgeot's about to give up but then remembers all of the battles it's been in before. Pidgeot didn't give up then and he won't give up now. Pidgeot can feel that there's more power inside him and will use that to win this battle. We now come out of Pidgeot's mind as he sees Falkner's Pidgeot heading for him and is getting closer. Ash's Pidgeot gets a serious look on his face as he manages to stop spinning, glows in a golden aura, lets out a mighty roar and spreads out his wings destroying the Hurricane and pushing Falkner's Pidgeot back. Once that happens everyone looks at Ash's Pidgeot and see that he's now incased in a golden aura and is looking at Falkner's Pidgeot. Falkner has a surprised look on his face as he speaks.

"That's Sky Attack." Falkner says as off to the side Brock speaks.

"I see so not wanting to give up Ash's Pidgeot dug deep and learned Sky Attack. With this he might have a chance at winning." Brock says causing Misty along with Togetic and Casey to cheer. Back on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu look at Pidgeot and have surprised looks on their faces as Ash then smiles and speaks.

"Amazing Pidgeot you learned Sky Attack!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer with Pidgeot nodding as Ash speaks.

"Okay Pidgeot let's put your new move to the test and take down Falkner's Pidgeot!" Ash states with his Pidgeot nodding as he lets out a mighty "PIDJO!" and looks at Falkner's Pidgeot Falkner speaks.

"Pidgeot we're not losing to them! Charge up your strongest Brave Bird!" Falkner says with his Pidgeot nodding as it lets out a mighty roar and charges up its strongest Brave Bird. Falkner's Pidgeot is glowing an intense shiny blue while Ash's Pidgeot is glowing an intense gold. The two mons look at each other as their trainers speak.

"GOOOOOOOO!" "PIDJOOOOO!" The two trainers along with the two-mons let out a loud roar as both Pidgeot's shoot forward and collide. The moment they collide they create a shockwave along with a strong gust of wind that's affecting everyone. Back on the battlefield the two mons are even with each other as Falkner speaks.

"PIDGEOT PUSH IT AWAY!" Falkner yells with his Pidgeot roaring as it begins to push Ash's Pidgeot back making it harder for Ash's Pidgeot as Ash speaks.

"Pidgeot don't give up! We've come too far to give up now! SO COME ON PIDGEOT DIG DEEP AND WINNNNNNNNNNNNN!" "PIKAAAAA!" Ash along with Pikachu cheer. Ash's Pidgeot hears their cheers and when he does Pidgeot gets a serious look on his face and roars.

"PIDJOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Ash's Pidgeot lets out a mighty roar increasing the power of its Sky Attack causing it to glow more intensely as it begins to overpower Falkner's Pidgeot's Brave Bird. Falkner along with his Pidgeot have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.

"DO IT PIDGEOT!" "PIDJO!" Ash along with his Pidgeot yell as Ash's Pidgeot destroys Falkner's Pidgeot's Brave Bird and hits the mon causing damage to it. Both birds come crashing down on the battlefield creating a big explosion which causes the battlefield to shake and creates a strong wind that tries to blow everyone away, but they all hang on. Then when the shaking and wind go away everyone looks forward and see a big cloud of smoke that's covering the entire battlefield. Then when the smoke disappears everyone looks forward and see that both Pidgeot's are laying on their stomachs seemingly unconscious and have scratches all over their bodies. Just when the ref is about to call for a tie Ash's Pidgeot manages to stand back up and is groaning in pain/panting heavily. Everyone then looks over at Falkner's Pidgeot who struggles to stand up for a little bit, but it ultimately stays down and reverts back to its base form showcasing that it's knocked out. The ref makes the call.

"Gym Leader Falkner's Pidgeot is unable to battle making the challenger's Pidgeot the winner! Seeing as Gym Leader Falkner has no more Pokémon left the victory goes to the challenger Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town!" The ref says making Ash smile as he speaks.

"ALL RIGHT!" "PIKA!" "PIDJO!" Ash along with Pikachu and Pidgeot let out a loud cheer in victory. Off to the side Misty, Brock, Togetic, and Casey cheer too as Misty speaks.

"They did it!" Misty says happily as Brock speaks.

"It was touch and go there for a while but Ash along with his Pidgeot managed to win." Brock says as Casey speaks.

"So, that's what a gym battle is like." Casey says to herself as she gets a smile on her face. Back on the battlefield Pidgeot has flown back over to where Ash and Pikachu are as Ash speaks.

"You did it Pidgeot! I knew you could do it!" "Pika!" Ash along with Pikachu say as they hug Pidgeot with the mon hugging them back. Ash then feels his Pokeball's wriggle as Charizard, Gyarados, Noivern, Corviknight, and Noctowl come out of their Pokeball's. Ash looks at them and speaks.

"You guys did amazing too!" Ash says making the 6-mons smile as they then congratulate Pidgeot with the mon saying thank you. Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield Falkner's surprised that he lost but then smiles as he looks at his Pidgeot and speaks.

"Great work Pidgeot take a good rest." Falkner says as he returns the mon back into its Pokeball and puts the ball away. Once he does that he looks forward and sees that Ash's friends have joined him as Misty speaks.

"You did it Ash you won!" "Tic!" Misty along with Togetic say as Brock speaks.

"Congrats Ash" Brock says as Casey speaks.

"That battle was amazing, and it makes me excited for mine." Casey says with Ash nodding as he tells them thank you. A couple seconds later Falkner appears in front of them. Ash looks at Falkner who begins to speak.

"That was an amazing battle Ash your Pokémon gave mine a very intense but fun battle." Falkner says as Ash speaks.

"Thank you Falkner and we had fun too." Ash says with his Pokémon, agreeing with him making Falkner smile as he reaches into his pocket and pulls something out.

"This is called the Zephyr Badge and is proof of your victory against me you along with your Pokémon earned this." Falkner says as he hands the badge to Ash who tells him thank you. Ash then gets a big smile on his face and speaks.

"We just got the Zephyr Badge!" "Pi, Pika, Chu!" Ash along with Pikachu and the rest of his Pokémon cheer with the others congratulating them. Falkner then looks at Casey and speaks.

"If I'm remembering right, you said that you wanted to challenge me as well?" Falkner asks as Casey speaks.

"Yes, and after that battle I'm more pumped than before." Casey says with Falkner nodding as he speaks.

"I'm happy to see that you're excited but if it's alright with you let's have our battle tomorrow morning." Falkner says with Casey nodding as she speaks.

"Sounds good to me as it'll give me some more time to train up my Pokémon so that I can get that badge." Casey says with Falkner nodding. After that the group leave the gym and head for the Violet City Pokémon Center when they make it Ash asks Nurse Joy to heal up his Pokémon and once, she does Ash contacts Prof. Oak showcasing that he got his first badge and asks to switch out his Pokémon. After the phone call they received a message from Nurse Joy that Prof. Elm's assistant will arrive sometime tomorrow with the Pokémon egg that Elm promised to give Ash, making the group excited. Casey then headed out of the center to do some last-minute training for her gym battle tomorrow and once that was done everyone went to sleep. It's now the next day and the group are back at the Violet City Gym for Casey's gym battle. Casey along with Falkner have taken their sides of the battlefield and are looking at each other. In the stands we see Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Togetic, and Brock watching. Back on the battlefield Falkner looks at Casey and speaks.

"This is your first gym battle right Casey?" Falkner asks with Casey nodding as he speaks.

"Seeing as this is your first gym battle this will be a 3v3." Falkner says with Casey nodding as the ref speaks.

"This is a 3v3 single battle between the Violet City Gym Leader Falkner and the challenger Casey of New Bark Town. Only the challenger is allowed to make substitutions and whoever defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!." The ref says with Casey and Falkner nodding as the ref continues.

"Now will both trainers please send out your first Pokémon!" The ref says as Casey along with Falkner pull out their Pokéball's and speak.

"Rattata Go!" "You're up first Doduo!" Both trainers say as they throw their Pokeball's forward. Casey sends out her Rattata while Falkner sends out a Doduo. The two mons look at each other as Casey speaks.

"So, a Doduo huh? Well, this'll be easy." Casey says while having a confident look on her face as Falkner speaks.

"Don't get too confident as you know already that my flying types shouldn't be underestimated." Falkner says with Casey nodding as she speaks.

"Yep, I know." Casey responds as her Rattata along with Falkner's Doduo get into battle stances the ref speaks.

"Now that both trainers have sent out their Pokémon let the battle begin!" The ref calls as Casey speaks.

"Let's do this Rattata!" "Here they come Doduo" The two trainers say with the two-mons nodding as just when they're about to battle we cut away from the Violet Gym and head over to Sprout Tower as we see someone walking towards it. We zoom in on the person and see that it's Silver. He looks at the building and walks inside as the chapter comes to an end.
