Wolfang21 . Oh you are going to enjoy the plans for what I have for this fanfic XD
coldblue2015. I'm glad to read your whole review, and as for your questions:
1) Can we expect Finn to be Magical-Swordsmen Adventurer of the Land of Ooo?
You can bet your lumps on that, since Finn as being a Prince and having more conections, even by political, and studying, he will have more variations on what he could do.
2) Will Finn just use Magic Spells that are useful or will he obsess over certain aspects of Magic like Portals, Fire, Candy or Time?
Well I would focus on the more principal of Magic of what he could do, since we all know what he could do in season 1.
3) Is it possible when Jake and Lady Raincorn have pups, will the Pups age like Dogs or Raincorns?
They will have like canon, but it will be exactly on the time of canon as well.
4) How will Prince Finn react when he finds out Ice King origin as Simon and his connection with Marceline? Would Prince Finn view him as a Crazy Grandfather figure?
Well that would depends on how far would be in the future, since after the canon, it may be possible, but oh boy after dealing with Ice King BS for so long it would leave any boy on the edge. Hahahahaha
5) Can we expect Prince Finn to discover Gunter being Orgalorg and Peppermint Butler past life as Coconteppi?
Who knows? Thins will get crazier after every season.
6) Are we going to have Prince Finn discover Rattleballs, but not turn him into his mother and train in Swordsmenship sooner than later to be better Swordsmen?
Welp, you never know... hahahahaha. Have fun reading the new chapter.
Have fun reading the new chapter guys.
"Home sweet home, Princess. I hope you enjoy the company of others!" Ice King grinned as he dragged the ice cage deeper into his frosty lair. The towering cavern, filled with jagged icicles and faint echoes, loomed around Princess Bubblegum like a frosty prison.
"Ice King," Bubblegum said through gritted teeth, her voice low and laced with fury. "I'm warning you one last time: you have 50 seconds to let me out of this cage. If I get out on my own, I will personally beat you senseless."
Ice King chuckled, completely unfazed by her threat. "Ohhhh, calm down, Princess. Maybe spending some time with the other princesses will help you unwind!" With a flick of his wrist, he slid the cage into a larger icy holding cell where several other princesses sat, each looking either anxious or despondent.
Ignoring her fiery glare, he gave a little twirl. "Now, socialize! I'm off to whip up something delicious for dinner!" He strode away with an exaggerated bounce in his step, humming an off-key tune as he disappeared into the icy corridors.
Bubblegum clenched her fists, her rage boiling over. "ICE KING!" she roared, her voice echoing through the cavern. The outburst made several princesses jump, their wide eyes darting nervously to the fuming Candy Monarch. Bubblegum groaned in frustration and buried her face in her hands. "I can't believe this is happening."
"Bubblegum, are you okay?" a soft, gurgling voice asked. She glanced up to see Slime Princess, along with Raggedy Princess, Jungle Princess, Breakfast Princess, and Lumpy Space Princess, all looking at her with varying degrees of concern.
"I'm fine," Bubblegum muttered, forcing herself to take a deep breath. "Just… a troubling morning."
"You sounded like you were ready to throw down with Ice King," Lumpy Space Princess chimed in, her tone dripping with nosy excitement. "But, like, your spaghetti arms aren't exactly built for beating anyone up, so spill it. What's the drama?"
Bubblegum shot her a withering glare. "Not everything is a gossip column for you, Lumpy Space Princess. Don't you have some gossip to discuss with Hotodog Princess or something in regard about your ex Brat or something?"
LSP gasped, clutching her lumpy chest in mock offense. "Oh my glob, rude much?!" she snapped, but her indignation didn't stop her from leaning over to Slime Princess to whisper conspiratorially, "It's so about her son. I'd bet my lumps on it."
"Is everything okay with Prince Finn?" Raggedy Princess asked gently. Already guessing since she knew the only reason of why Princess Bubblegum would be that nerve wrecking was because something happened to the prince of Candy Kingdom.
At the mention of her son, Bubblegum flinched. Her grip on the ice bars tightened as she avoided their gazes. "He's fine…" she muttered. "It's just—" She sighed, the frustration in her tone spilling over. "We had an argument this morning. And now, thanks to Ice King screwing up again, Finn's going to be waiting for me back at the castle with that smug, I-told-you-so look on his face. Just thinking about it is giving me a headache."
Breakfast Princess approached, her warm, Toast and egg-scented presence oddly comforting. "Disagreements happen," she said with a small smile. "But I think your son will just be happy you're safe."
Bubblegum scoffed, crossing her arms. "Maybe. But that doesn't mean he won't rub it in. And Ice King… ugh, he just keeps making everything worse!"
Jungle Princess, who had been quietly listening, placed a gentle hand on Bubblegum's shoulder. "We'll get through this," she said with a calm, soothing tone. "And maybe, just maybe, Finn will surprise you."
Bubblegum let out a soft huff, her lips twitching into a reluctant smile. "Yeah. Maybe."
"But first… we need to find a way out of here. I refuse to let that buffoon think he's gotten the better of me." The sound of clattering pots and Ice King's off-key singing echoed from the distance, pulling everyone's attention momentarily. Bubblegum straightened her posture, determination flashing in her eyes. "I'm going to beat him so much that at the time I return home, Finn won't even notice I missed."
The princesses exchanged glances, their spirits lifting slightly at Bubblegum's resolve. Lumpy Space Princess, however, crossed her arms and smirked. "I knew it. Totally about her son."
"LSP," Bubblegum growled, shooting her a warning glare.
"What?! I'm just saying!"
"So, this is what you do with Jermaine every time princesses get kidnapped?" Finn asked as he and Jake made their way through the dense forest. Jake, stretched out into a long, snaking form, easily carried the pair across the rugged terrain of Ooo.
"Yep," Jake replied with a grin. "My bro inherited Dad's sword, while I stick to the classics—punching bad guys in the face!" He raised his fists, which grew comically large as he flexed his stretchy magic. "And since you're still a rookie with that sword of yours, I'm keeping an eye on you. Don't want you accidentally cutting off your own foot or something."
"Yeah, no argument there," Finn said with a laugh, patting Scarlet, his trusty sword. "But I've got something on my side, too—science!"
Reaching into his backpack, Finn pulled out two peculiar weapons. The first was a sleek, futuristic device: a plasma globe with a gun grip and a trigger. Its purple body emitted faint magenta lightning that crackled against the glass. The second was a bulkier weapon, resembling a modified children's ball launcher. It had a black exterior with a decorative lightning bolt and a transparent hopper filled with glowing orbs.
"These," Finn declared proudly, "are my mom's strongest creations—the Electrode Gun and the Ball Blam Burglerber."
"Ohhh, what do they do?" Jake asked, his eyes wide with curiosity.
"Check this out." Finn raised the Electrode Gun and aimed it at the sky. With a satisfying zap, a bolt of pink electricity shot into the air, crackling loudly as it disappeared into the clouds.
Jake whistled in approval. "Nice! And what about the other one?"
"This bad boy?" Finn said, holding up the Ball Blam Burglerber. "It's for explosive purposes. One shot, and kaboom! Total mess. It's not the kind of thing you want to be standing next to when it goes off."
"Dang, that sounds intense," Jake said, a note of concern creeping into his voice. "You're not planning to blow up Ice King, are you?"
"Nah, not unless I have to," Finn reassured him. "But I wouldn't mind trashing his place. One time, he made an ice thunder thing that hit my bedroom. It took three days to defrost everything! My notes, drawings, and even my favorite books were ruined."
Jake nodded thoughtfully, his expression softening. "Oh, okay. I get it now. So it's not about revenge—it's just payback for the mess he caused. Fair enough. Alright, Prince, let's take down the King!" Jake raised a fist into the air. "Let's do this, man!"
"What time is it?" Finn shouted, his excitement building.
Jake grinned as they fist-bumped. "ADVENTURE TIME!"
"Okay, Jungle Princess, angle it just a bit more to the left," Princess Bubblegum instructed, gesturing toward the icy bars. She stood beside the forest warrior princess, helping her adjust the grip on her spear. It was no surprise that Ice King overlooked the fact that Jungle Princess had smuggled her weapon. Unfortunately, he'd also been crafty enough to freeze her hands when she tried to use it earlier.
"Now throw," Bubblegum commanded firmly.
Jungle Princess drew back, channeling her strength, and hurled the spear. It zipped across the room with surprising force, ricocheting off the far wall, bouncing off Ice King's bed, then striking another wall before careening straight toward them. With a loud clang, it collided with one of the ice bars.
The princesses collectively held their breath, only to deflate in disappointment. The ice bar was dented but still intact, and the spear hadn't come close to hitting the lock on the ice prison.
"Drat!" Bubblegum muttered, rubbing her temples. "It needed to be just a bit more to the right."
Frustrated, she grabbed the spear and tried stabbing at the lock from the inside of the cage. The angle was awkward, and her efforts barely scratched the surface.
"Why don't we just wait for Jake and Jermaine to get here?" Breakfast Princess suggested politely. Her calm tone seemed to ease Bubblegum's growing irritation.
"Jermaine's sick," Bubblegum explained with a sigh, lowering the spear. "Jake's handling this one alone. I thought we could at least find a way to help him out instead of leaving him to do the entire rescue mission on his own."
The other princesses exchanged uneasy glances, reluctant but sympathetic. Then Slime Princess raised a question that made everyone pause.
"Wait a second," she said, her gooey brow furrowing. "How do you even know Jermaine is sick?"
"Oh, uh…" she hummed, as she didn't realize how much she was revealing at the momment."It's because Jake and Lady Rainicorn told me. They mentioned it yesterday at Finnegan's birthdaaaaay—"
Bubblegum froze, her heart skipping a beat. She hadn't realized how much she was revealing. As the ankward word was said as she slowly realized to the people she revealed the information. She clamped a hand over her mouth too late. The words were out.
The other princesses turned to her in unison, their expressions ranging from curiosity to shock.
"Wait, your son had a birthday yesterday?" Breakfast Princess asked, her polite demeanor replaced with barely contained curiosity.
"Hold up," Slime Princess interjected, leaning in closer. "You're saying you threw a party for your baby and didn't invite us? Why not?"
The room fell into an awkward silence after Princess Bubblegum's slip. She bit her lip, her mind scrambling to recover.
The room was thick with tension as the princesses processed Bubblegum's blunt admission.
Princess Bubblegum sighed deeply, pinching the bridge of her nose. This was not the conversation she wanted to have.
"Well…" she started reluctantly, "if you must know, I didn't invite you because… you're not good enough to be around him."
The room exploded with offended gasps.
"Not good enough?" Jungle Princess snapped, crossing her arms. "What does that even mean?"
"It means exactly what I said," Bubblegum replied matter-of-factly, folding her arms as if bracing herself for the inevitable fallout. "I don't need any of you harlots—"
"HARLOTS?!" several princesses shouted in unison.
"—anywhere near my baby son, he's only 12. He's child, differently like you all" she finished with a shrug. "You're all way too messy, unreliable, or… well, just not up to my standards."
Breakfast Princess huffed, crossing her arms. "I'm 15, thank you very much. Your son is just a couple of years younger than me! How could you possibly think I'm not good enough to be around him?"
Jungle Princess tightened her grip on her spear. "I'm 14, and even my parents aren't as crazy overprotective as you're being. This is beyond ridiculous."
Princess Bubblegum barely blinked, her tone as cool as the ice bars surrounding them. "Well, my standards are different. And besides, none of you could pass even a basic test of worthiness for my son."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Lump Space Princess cut in, floating closer with a scowl. "Is this about winning some science fair in Ooo or something?"
Princess Bubblegum smirked, a rare glimmer of triumph flashing across her face. "Oh, you should know better than anyone, LSP. You've been far too grabby around my son before—no boundaries, no respect. Naturally, I've taken steps to ensure you'll never get the chance again."
Lump Space Princess froze mid-air. "Wait… what steps?"
"You've noticed those new security guards around the Lump Space world?" Bubblegum asked innocently, her smirk growing wider.
"THAT WAS YOU?!" Lump Space Princess shrieked, her floating mass vibrating with anger.
"I had a hunch you might try something without his consent, so I implemented countermeasures." Bubblegum's tone was as nonchalant as if she were discussing a minor lab experiment.
That was the last straw for LSP, who lunged forward with a roar, only to be intercepted by Jungle Princess, who grabbed her mid-air.
"Whoa, whoa, calm down!" Jungle Princess exclaimed, holding the furious Lump Space Princess back. "I didn't think Bubblegum would go this far, but we're not solving anything by starting a fight!"
"Wow, I've never seen LSP this mad before. Maybe we should all just… take a deep breath?" Breakfast Princess adjusted her crown nervously. "Maybe we shoud show some courtesy and politness girls."
"As if," Slime Princess snapped, slithering indignantly. "I'm basically royalty perfection! I rule the Slime Kingdom. Can your baby even crawl without supervision yet?"
"Courtesy?" Lump Space Princess scoffed, floating higher as she crossed her arms. "Please, Breakfast Egg-Breath. All you do is obsess over pastries and table settings. Your 'kingdom' is nothing more than a glorified bakery. You're basically just a waitress in a tiara."
Breakfast Princess blinked as she opened and clouse her mouth, and took a few deep breaths, while Slime Princess, Raggedy Princess and even Jungle Princess oowed from seeing Lump Space y Princess insulting the Breakfast Princess like that.
Bubblegum groaned, rubbing her temples. "Here we go," she muttered under her breath.
"Princess Egg-breath?"Breakfast Princess slowly reapead the insult, her polite demeanor cracking. "A waitress? At least my kingdom is civilized and not just some weird floating space blob full of self-centered lumps who think they're better than everyone else! You doesn't even has a kingdom, it was just a bunch of people floating around, you don't even have responsabilities"
Slime Princess, who had been quietly oozing at the sidelines, chuckled darkly. "Speaking of useless kingdoms, at least my people have purpose. What's the point of Raggedy Princess's kingdom? A bunch of scraps and fabric lying around the Ooo junkyard."
Raggedy Princess flinched but quickly narrowed her eyes. "I didn't even do anything to you, why did you have to insult me like that?"
"Sorry I just don't want to be lefted out." Slime Princess whispered as Raggedy Princess nodded her head in understanding.
"Well... hmmm. Oh. It's better living in a Junkyard where I can be the Princess of my own treasure than a literal pile of goo with no spine—figuratively and literally. Your 'kingdom' is just one big slime puddle. Who even wants to visit that?" Raggedy Princess did come with a payback which the Slime Princess imediatelly looked angry at her. "Too much?"
"Oh, you wanna talk trash?" Slime Princess shot back, her form bubbling angrily. "At least I don't look like I got rejected from a thrift store."
Bubblegum groaned, trying to tune out the escalating chaos, but things only got worse.
"Guys, come on," Jungle Princess tried, raising her hands to calm the group. "This isn't helping anyone. We're all princesses—shouldn't we try to work together?"
"Oh, shut it, Jungle Princess," Lump Space Princess sneered, floating closer to her. "Your 'jungle kingdom' is just a bunch of trees. You're basically a glorified forest ranger. What's next, teaching people how to be naked and start campfires?"
Jungle Princess remained silence, but even still she hurled her spear toward Lump Space Princess, who yelped and floated upward just in time to dodge it. The spear embedded itself in the icy ceiling, sending shards of frost raining down.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Breakfast Princess jumped back, glaring at Lump Space Princess. "See? You can't even have a civil conversation without making people mad enough to throw weapons at you!"
"Yeah!" Jungle Princess added, pointing at Lump Space Princess. "If anyone here doesn't belong near Bubblegum's son, it's definitely her!"
"Oh, like you're any better!" Lump Space Princess shot back, spinning toward them both. "Jungle Princess thinks she's tough because she can throw a stick, and Breakfast Princess thinks she's classy because she can fold napkins. Pathetic!"
Bubblegum massaged her temples, her patience nearing its breaking point. The other princesses were now yelling over one another, each trying to one-up the others in a spiraling contest of insults and wounded egos.
"I could teach him how to navigate the wild!"
"At least I have table manners, unlike you savages!"
"My kingdom doesn't even need a king—what about yours?"
"I'm the real princess material here!"
Finally, Bubblegum threw up her hands in exasperation, her voice sharp. "Enough!"
The room fell eerily silent, all eyes locking onto her. A thick tension hung in the air.
"You're all ridiculous," she said, her tone tinged with frustration. "Fighting like this just proves why I didn't invite any of you to my son's birthday. I would rather spend another week locked in my lab with zero sleep than let any of you near him." Her gaze swept across the princesses, and she sighed deeply, exasperated. "Can this get any worse?"
Before anyone could respond, a loud, overly enthusiastic voice echoed through the cave.
"PRINCESSES, I'M BACK WITH FOOD!"
All the princesses turned toward the entrance, eyes wide, as Bubblegum did a very literal facepalm, her hand slapping against her forehead in a gesture of pure disbelief.
Ice King entered, balancing several trays of food precariously in his hands. His smile was wide and goofy, completely unaware of the chaos. But just as he stepped further in, something small and green zipped through the air, hitting the side of the cave. A moment later, a massive explosion reverberated across the area, sending shards of ice and debris flying in all directions.
"MY KITCHEN!" Ice King wailed in horror, his trays of food flying out of his hands as he rushed toward the source of the explosion. The princesses winced as the explosion caused the ice to melt and catch fire, the flames licking at the walls, and even the very air around them seemed to distort. Ice particles scattered, falling in the form of small cubes, adding to the surreal destruction.
As Ice King rushed to assess the damage, a familiar yellow figure emerged, tumbling through the wreckage—the body of Jake the Dog, who now seemed to be laughing. The princesses' attention snapped toward him, a collective cheer rising from their lips.
"Jake!" Jungle Princess called, her arms raised in triumph. "It's Jake!"
But before Bubblegum could enjoy the brief moment of relief, she froze, her gaze locking onto Finn, who was now dramatically leaping off Jake's back.
"FINNEGAN?" she screeched, the sound almost pained. She could feel her headache multiplying by tenfold, her frustration palpable.
Finn stood tall, holding one of her weapons—a gleaming sword—and wearing a ridiculous white hat that only made him look more out of place. Bubblegum's eyes widened in disbelief as she noticed he was holding her beloved Ball Blam Burglerber.
"WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS?" she demanded, her voice rising in a blend of confusion and indignation.
Finn, completely unaware of the storm brewing, grinned at the princesses and waved. "It's a rescue mission, Mom! Woah… are you all alright, Princesses?"
The princesses, still trapped in the ice prison, blinked in surprise, but their faces slowly softened in gratitude.
Jake, ever the easygoing one, spoke up casually. "Don't worry about it, Finn. They were captured, sure, but never hurt. No need to start a war or anything." He gave Finn a reassuring look, one that spoke volumes, his relaxed tone failing to mask the discomfort in his voice as the ice continued to crack around them.
Bubblegum let out a long, exhausted groan, slapping her face with her palm. The sight of Finn in her castle, holding her weapon, in such a mess of chaos, was beyond overwhelming.
"Please tell me," she began, her voice flat with resignation, "you didn't use the code Funnel Pineapple Cake?"
Finn, grinning smugly, the one that her mom deeply despises and had the audacity to raised a finger. "Ah, ah, ah, I almost did. But we don't have time for that now." His expression shifted, a new sense of urgency taking over. "Jake, rescue the princesses. I need to trash this place around a little." He pumped the Ball Blam Burglerber in his hand, as if preparing for battle.
The princesses exchanged startled glances, still trying to process what had just unfolded, while Bubblegum let out yet another groan of frustration. She pinched the bridge of her nose, hoping—praying—that the situation would somehow resolve itself without further escalation. But just as she thought things couldn't get any worse, another round of explosions rattled the cave, shaking the very walls. The sound of clanging metal and cracking ice filled the air, and then the unmistakable noise of the prison unlocking echoed throughout the area.
"HEY! WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? MY CAVE!" Ice King's voice rang out in horror as he rushed back into the chaos, his eyes wide in disbelief as he took in the full extent of the destruction. His gaze flickered from Finn to the scattered debris, his crown askew on his head. "WHO ARE YOU?!"
Finn, still holding the gleaming sword and Ball Blam Burglerber, stared coolly at Ice King. His weapon was poised, ready to fire at a moment's notice.
"My name is Prince Finnegan Gummy Bubblegum," Finn announced with an exaggerated bow, his voice carrying an air of drama. "And for the crimes of trespassing across the kingdoms of Ooo, I'm going to kick your ass."
The princesses exchanged impressed glances at his boldness, a few even nodding approvingly. Jungle Princess raised an eyebrow, her arms still crossed. "Well, that's one way to introduce yourself."
Slime Princess couldn't help but snicker. "Ooh, I like this kid. He's got spunk."
But then, as if on cue, Bubblegum rolled her eyes in the most dramatic fashion, her exasperation palpable. She turned her attention to Jake, who was still nonchalantly observing the scene.
"Was that because Ice King destroyed his bedroom a few times?" Princess Bubblegum asked, raising an eyebrow.
Jake, who was casually stretching and cracking his knuckles, gave a single, exaggerated nod. "Yep. He's had a lot of pent-up frustration from that, plus the whole ice prison thing. It's kinda personal."
"Figures," Bubblegum muttered, rubbing her temples. She could already feel a migraine creeping in.
As Finn stood with the Ball Blam Burglerber raised and ready, the Ice King finally looked over at him, his eyes squinting in confusion. He scratched his head, his usual obliviousness written all over his face. "Wait a minute… who are you again?" His voice dripped with the kind of carefree ignorance that only Ice King could muster. "Some new kid? Prince, you say?"
Finn's face reddened in frustration. His blood was boiling—how could Ice King not know who he was? His grip on the weapon tightened, the urge to do something rash almost overwhelming. "Are you serious?" he spat, stepping forward, his voice trembling with anger. "You kidnapped my mom over and over again, and you don't even know who I am?!"
Ice King's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Your mom? Huh?" He tilted his head, completely lost. "What are you talking about, kid? I don't know any moms. I'm just here to cause a little fun, right?"
Princess Bubblegum's patience finally snapped. "Ice King, I'm his mom…" she said with exasperation, making the Ice King gasp in surprise. "Just let me go."
The absurdity of the moment lingered for a second before Ice King's eyes lit up, but not in the way anyone would hope. "...For a mom, you are beautiful," he said dreamily, clearly unaware of the storm he had stirred.
Finn's anger reached its peak, his face turning crimson. "That's it! I'm going to explode him!" He raised the Ball Blam Burglerber, preparing to unleash his fury on the Ice King.
Before Finn could make a move, Jake, ever the level-headed companion, stepped forward in an attempt to calm the situation. "Woah, woah, hold up. I know a comment like that about your momma would definitely be a reason to go full throttle, but come on, Finn, you're here to rescue the—Aahhh!"
At that moment, Ice King, clearly done with the whole exchange, unleashed a burst of icy magic, catching Jake off guard. A powerful surge of cold magic encased him, freezing his entire body, leaving only his face exposed, and a tremble of cold wracked his body.
"JAKE!" Finn shouted in horror, rushing to his friend's side, his heart racing.
Jake, despite his frozen state, managed to grin weakly. "I'm fine, Finn… just get the crown off his head and beat the crap out of him," he said, his voice strained but still filled with his usual laid-back energy. Even Jake's patience with the Ice King seemed to have hit its limit.
Finn's hands clenched into fists, the anger surging through him like a tidal wave. The Ball Blam Burglerber was still in his grasp, but now it wasn't enough. He felt the weight of his backpack and, in a flash, pulled out Scarlet—his sword.
Princess Bubblegum's eyes went wide in shock. "YOU HAVE A SWORD?" she screeched, her voice filled with disbelief and a hint of panic.
Before Finn could respond, a sharp slap echoed through the cave. The Lump Space Princess, hovering nonchalantly in the background, had slapped Bubblegum across the face, her expression one of utter indifference. "What? You were losing your mind," she remarked, as though the gesture were completely natural.
Bubblegum's face flushed with a mixture of shock and fury. Her eyes narrowed, burning with a fire that could melt ice. "Do that again… I dare you...," she hissed, her voice dripping with venom. It was the kind of threat that made the air around them feel suddenly colder.
LSP, sensing the threat in Bubblegum's tone, slowly backed away. Her eyes never left the candy princess, who now seemed like a ticking time bomb. After a moment of tense silence, the Lump Space Princess, uncharacteristically cautious, flew out of the cave without a word. The calm, almost indifferent air she usually carried had disappeared, replaced by the weight of her retreat.
The other princesses, still held in the ice prison, were left with their eyes wide in shock, their faces glistening with the cold sweat of fear. None of them had ever seen Princess Bubblegum this angry. The cave felt eerily silent, as if the very atmosphere had frozen in place. They were all acutely aware that they were witnessing a breaking point.
"She's cool." Jungle Princess, always the one to speak her mind, broke the silence. Her voice was oddly casual, though the others couldn't help but stare at her in surprise. "What? My mom had a berserk state too. With just one look, all the animals would flee from her. I still don't get how she did it."
Bubblegum, still seething, managed to hold her composure—barely. She inhaled deeply, a sign she was trying to calm herself. "Fury… unadulterated rage…" she muttered under her breath, her eyes flickering to Finn. She had responsibilities, a role to play as a diplomat and leader, but the raw anger bubbling inside her was hard to contain. She was known for her kindness to the Candy Kingdom's people, but today, that kindness felt distant, buried beneath layers of frustration.
"Finnegan Gummy Bubblegum…" she said slowly, her voice sharp and cold. The way she said his full name sent a chill down Finn's spine. It wasn't just the use of his full name—it was the tone, the warning it carried, and the fact that he had heard it only when he was about to face consequences. Finn's mouth dried instantly, and his gut tightened with the familiar dread of knowing that his actions had crossed the line.
Finn stood frozen, as the weight of his mother's words settled in. That tone, that unmistakable authority, made it clear that no matter what he said in his defense, he was already in trouble. He tried to remind himself that he was right to come here, but the cold reality was that he'd be grounded for this. Worst of all, the punishment would likely be having to babysit Cynamon Bun for an entire week—a task Finn dreaded more than anything else. The little candy bunny's antics were frustrating, and it was a job that made him want to pull his hair out by the end of the first day.
"We will talk about this at home," Princess Bubblegum added, her voice resolute, like a final decree. The words hit Finn like a punch to the gut, and he could practically feel the weight of the punishment looming over him.
"Well, I'm already—" Finn began to mutter, already steeling himself for the lecture, but before he could finish, something exploded through the air, interrupting his thoughts.
A blast of ice magic shot toward him, and without thinking, he leapt to the side. His heart was in his throat as he narrowly avoided the bolt. Whipping around, he saw Ice King standing tall, clearly fed up, his magic crackling violently.
"Look what you two did!" Ice King shouted, his voice booming in anger. "You freed one of the princesses? I'm going to kill you both!"
Finn's eyes widened. "Oh, Glob, no!" he shouted, scrambling to pull out his Electrode Gun. His hand shook as he aimed, trying to make sure he didn't miss. The bolt of magic and the lightning bolt from his gun collided mid-air with a violent explosion, sending sparks in every direction.
The princesses, who had been watching passively until now, stared in awe as Finn remained calm under pressure. They couldn't believe how quickly he adapted, intercepting Ice King's magic with his own weapon.
Finn didn't waste a second. He eyed his surroundings, scanning for the perfect moment. With a swift motion, he drew Scarlet, his golden sword, and threw it at the wall with precision. The sword bounced off the icy surfaces, ricocheting toward the ceiling.
Ice King, still focused on his magic, didn't notice the sword until it was too late. With a deafening clang, the sword struck his crown, immediately causing his magic to fizzle out.
"What the—?" Ice King gasped, confusion spreading across his face. Before he could even react, an electric surge shot through his body, and he dropped to the ground, convulsing from the shock.
"AHAHAHA! BRrhrrrrrrrrr" Ice King started to laugh, but the sound was cut short as the electric current kept him grounded.
Finn marched over to Ice King's fallen form, still seething. Without thinking, he started kicking him in the stomach, each blow driven by his frustration. The Ice King groaned with each hit, his body twitching under the impact. Finn didn't stop, letting the anger from the whole situation pour out in each strike.
But then, Finn heard a voice.
"Finnegan, that's enough," Princess Bubblegum said softly but firmly.
Finn froze, his chest still heaving with anger, and looked up at her.
Bubblegum stood over the defeated Ice King, her expression calm yet deadly. But to Finn's horror, she didn't just stop him from kicking Ice King—she started kicking him, too. And it wasn't just any random place. Finn could hardly believe what he was seeing as Bubblegum's foot struck with perfect precision, each kick aimed lower than Finn ever would've imagined.
Finn's face turned bright red, and he couldn't tear his eyes away. He felt mortified—embarrassed on behalf of both himself and Ice King. He had never seen this side of his mom before. She was relentless, and her anger was frightening in ways that made Finn reconsider his own temper.
Five minutes later, Bubblegum finally stopped. She stood over Ice King, breathing heavily, her cheeks flushed from exertion.
"Oh thank Glob, I really needed to vent that out," she said, wiping her brow as though she had just finished a long, stressful meeting.
Finn, still frozen in place, couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. His jaw hung open as he took in the sight of his mom, acting more like a dictator evil queen warrior than the caring, responsible princess he had always known.
He blinked, unsure of what to say. His voice failed him, and all he could do was stare at the defeated Ice King, still twitching on the ground.
Bubblegum turned her attention back to him, her gaze softening, but there was no mistaking the fact that he was in for an intense conversation later.
"Let's go home, Finn," she said, her voice steady, though there was an unmistakable edge to it. "We have a lot to talk about."
"Yes mom," Finn said as he calmly followed her, without any kind of negotiations. The Princess and the Prince of Candy Kingdom walked outside of the Ice Cave, while still they left the Breakfast Princess, Raggedy Princess, Slime Princess, Jungle Princess, and Jake staring with their mouths dropped over seeing that.
"Wow," Slime Princess confessed as she never saw 2 royalty obliterating Ice King just like that, which if wasn't for the fact he had been annoying all the princesses, she would have felt pity of him being kicked all this time.
"Do you think they pent up a lot of frustration?" Breakfast Princess asked as Jungle Princess raised her eyebrows.
"Aren't you too young to talk about that?" Jungle Princess made the question which the Princess also made the same question.
"Aren't you?" Breakfast Princess asked which Jungle Princess simply shrugged.
"Animal mating season, as much it was frustrating to learn, living with them you had to learn about that and deal with them each time of the year." Jungle Princess commented as she wasn't phased with the curve ball done by the Princess who blushed and tried to deny on how she learned about the meaning of her quote.
"Err… girls, I think we need to help Jake." Raggedy Princess Suggested as the quartet of Princess helped Jake to break the ice, and immediately helping them to leave Ice Kingdom, which Jake may or may not get scolded by Lady Raincorn at the time she visits him at home.
The journey back to the Candy Kingdom was far from what Finn had expected. Though the distance between the Ice Kingdom and the Candy Kingdom was considerable, the path they took was supposed to be the safest route. As they walked side by side, Finn felt a mixture of pride and anxiety bubbling inside him. His mom, Princess Bubblegum, was rescued, and though the mission was technically successful, the tension between them lingered like a thick fog.
The world around them was unusually quiet. The streets of the Candy Kingdom, usually lively and full of sugary sounds, felt eerily empty in comparison to the rush of Finn's emotions. The pastel-colored trees swayed gently in the breeze, and the air smelled faintly of sugar and caramel, but Finn's senses were distracted by the weight of his actions. He glanced at Bubblegum, who walked beside him with a stoic expression that left him unsure of what to think. The usually vibrant and confident princess was quieter than Finn had ever seen her before.
Finn wanted to ask her if she was okay, if she appreciated the rescue, or if she was angry at him for causing such a scene in the Ice Kingdom. But her face was an impenetrable mask, her eyes fixed straight ahead, giving nothing away. The silence stretched between them, broken only by the rhythmic crunch of their boots against the candy-colored gravel path. Finn's thoughts were racing—he had never felt this unsure of himself before. After all, he was doing what any son would do to protect their mother, yet the sense of accomplishment didn't feel as sweet as he had imagined.
"SCREEEEEECH," Princess Bubblegum gave the summoning call, which ahead of them, Morrow, the giant eagle that Finn had summoned, soared overhead. His large wings sliced through the air effortlessly, casting a shadow over the path below as they made their way back to the kingdom. The eagle's majestic form contrasted with the weight in Finn's chest. It would take an entire day to travel back, but with Morrow's speed, they were able to return in a mere few hours. Finn glanced up at the sky, trying to find some solace in the familiar sight of the eagle gliding through the clouds, but it didn't quite help ease his growing unease.
As the towering walls of the Candy Kingdom came into view, Finn couldn't help but feel a small sense of relief, though it was tinged with uncertainty. The tall, pastel-colored towers, the sweet-scented air, and the ever-vibrant Candy People made it feel like home, but this time, the kingdom felt different. The cheers that greeted them as they entered the gates were joyous, but to Finn's ears, they sounded distant, muffled, as though he were hearing them through a thick fog. The Candy People had gathered in large groups, their faces alight with excitement as they saw their beloved princess and her son returning. The energy was infectious, and Finn felt the warmth of their gratitude swirl around him, but it didn't quite reach his heart.
He looked at Bubblegum again, hoping to see her smile, to see the joy that usually lit up her face when she was surrounded by her people. Instead, her expression remained neutral, a mask that Finn couldn't break through. It was as if she were lost in thought, her gaze fixed on some distant point. He wasn't sure what to make of it.
As they approached the royal palace, Peppermint Butler stepped forward, his eyes widening in visible relief as he saw the two of them return unharmed. He bowed deeply before them, his voice filled with respect. "Your Majesties, I'm relieved to see you both returned safely. We feared the worst."
Finn gave a small nod, but his attention was still on Bubblegum. She didn't respond right away, her gaze distant and focused on the crowd, and Finn couldn't help but notice the way her hands were tightly clasped in front of her. She wasn't angry—he knew that much—but there was something in her demeanor that made him hesitate.
Peppermint Butler, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, hesitated for a moment before speaking again. His voice was soft, cautious. "Is everything alright, Princess? You seem... distant."
Bubblegum blinked, as if pulled out of a trance. She turned to look at Peppermint Butler, her eyes briefly meeting his before she gave a small, faint smile, one that didn't quite reach her eyes. "Yes, I'm fine. Just...can you let me talk with him alone?"
The butler knew the look and the tone of her voice, and slowly gave the sympathies of the boy who knew he was in deep problem.
The quiet lingered in the royal dining room as the servants set the table, placing dishes filled with the comforting mix of corn, carrots, and candy. The usual hustle and bustle of the kingdom seemed to have faded into the background, and Finn felt the weight of the moment settle on his shoulders. His eyes shifted to his mother, sitting across from him at the grand dining table. The grand chairs on either side were meant for the two of them, but the space between them felt much larger now. Her silence was almost suffocating, leaving Finn feeling more like a stranger than her son. It was a stark contrast to the normal, playful atmosphere he was used to—when they'd share meals, talk about the kingdom, or just enjoy each other's company.
The warm aroma of the food filled the air, but it did little to ease the tension. Princess Bubblegum, ever the composed monarch, sat with her hands folded in front of her, her usual energy dampened. She wasn't angry or disappointed, Finn could tell. It was something else entirely. Fear? Vulnerability? It was as if all the strength and confidence she exuded in public had been momentarily shattered, leaving only the frailness of a mother deeply afraid of losing what she held most dear.
Finn didn't speak immediately. He didn't know what to say. He had been so certain about his mission before, so sure that he was doing the right thing, but seeing his mother like this, it made him doubt himself. He had always looked up to her, admired her brilliance and her leadership, but now he could see that even the mighty Princess Bubblegum had her moments of doubt. She wasn't infallible. She wasn't invincible. And that realization was both comforting and unsettling at the same time.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of silence, she spoke.
"What's your demand?" Her voice broke through the stillness, her words sharp, yet tinged with an underlying sadness that Finn couldn't ignore. She placed her hands over her mouth as if she were preparing for a negotiation, but the look in her eyes was not one of authority—it was something softer. Vulnerable. "What do you want from me to make you give up on the dream of being a hero?"
Finn blinked, taken aback by the question. He had expected resistance, but not this—this quiet surrender. His eyebrows shot up in confusion as he looked at his mother. The woman who had always been the pillar of strength in his life, asking what he needed to give up his dream. It was a question filled with uncertainty, something he had never imagined coming from her.
He swallowed hard, his heart aching at the thought of what this meant. He could have easily brushed it off with a joke or a smug comment, but the weight of her words stopped him. Finn could feel that his mother wasn't angry at him—she wasn't upset or furious. No, there was something much deeper. It was fear. A fear of losing him. A fear of being alone. Something Finn had never truly understood until now.
"Mom... I just want you to trust me," he said slowly, his voice soft. He could see the pain in her eyes, the deep-rooted concern she had for him. She had always been the one to guide him, to show him how to be strong, intelligent, and resourceful. He had always believed that she was invincible, that nothing could ever truly hurt her. But now, seeing her so vulnerable, he realized that she was just as human as anyone else. "You're not going to lose me."
Princess Bubblegum's eyes flickered briefly, as if her own emotions were battling with the words she was about to say. She sighed deeply, looking away from him, and Finn could see the weight of her past in the way her shoulders sagged. The stories he had heard about her life—the battles, the sacrifices, the losses—suddenly felt more real. And in this moment, Finn understood her fear more than ever.
"That's how I always thought when I met someone important in my life, Finn," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But every time I try to hold on, to protect those I care about... something happens. Something changes, and everyone slips away." The pain in her words was palpable, and Finn's heart tightened in his chest. His mother, the brilliant scientist, the leader of the Candy Kingdom, was terrified of losing him the way she had lost others in the past.
Finn reached across the table, his hand hovering just above hers, unsure of how to comfort her. He wanted to take away her pain, to promise her that nothing would ever separate them, but he knew that words alone wouldn't be enough. He could see the deep scars of her past, and he couldn't erase them. But there was one thing he could do—he could promise her that he would never leave her, that he would never stop fighting for their kingdom, their family.
"Mom," Finn began, his voice firm but gentle. "If the world were attacked by a force stronger than us... who would we call?" He paused, watching her eyes carefully as he spoke. "I don't know why, but I feel this is something part of me, calling me to help others. To save them from something that's coming. Something we don't see yet." His words were slow, measured, but he could feel the truth of them in his chest. He didn't know exactly what it was, but he knew he couldn't ignore it.
The princess sat still, her eyes searching his face for some sign of reassurance. Finn couldn't give her all the answers, but he could give her the truth. The truth that he had a destiny to fulfill, one that was tied to the very heart of who he was.
"But you know something?" Finn continued, his voice softening as he got up from his seat and moved to the other side of the table. He wanted to be closer to her, to connect, to make her understand. "If you want me to spend half the week in this castle, being a prince and helping with the kingdom, and the other half out there, as a hero... then I would be more than happy to do that."
The idea seemed to take Princess Bubblegum by surprise, and for a brief moment, the tension between them eased as she snorted in amusement.
"Three days to be a hero?" she teased, raising an eyebrow at him. "Is that your offer?"
Finn grinned mischievously, not missing the slight twinkle in his mother's eyes. "Four days to be a hero. Three days to be a prince. And in case of adventure, I don't know how long it'll take."
The princess laughed, shaking her head. "Three days as a hero, and when you're on your adventures, I want a hologram call every night." She stood up from her seat, crossing her arms. "And I want to know exactly where you'll be staying. A neutral area, near my kingdom."
Finn groaned, playfully rolling his eyes. "Wow, Mom. Aren't you a bit harsh?"
"You may have won this argument, Finnegan, not matter how much you want to discuss with me." she replied with a smile, her tone playful but still firm, "but as your mom, you need to understand one thing." She leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a teasing whisper. "In the end I will always be right, I'm your mom, and I will always win against you."
Finn pouted, but then, to his surprise, Princess Bubblegum giggled softly and kissed his forehead. "I loved the white hat, it suits you... but now, it's time for you to eat, and then go to sleep."
Finn hesitated for a moment before speaking up, his voice soft and unsure. "Err... Mommy?"
Princess Bubblegum raised an eyebrow, sensing his uncertainty. Finn swallowed, his gaze dropping as he hesitated. "Can I... sleep with you tonight? I don't want you to be kidnapped again…"
Her heart warmed at the request, her expression softening instantly. She opened her arms wide, pulling him into a warm embrace. "Of course, Finn. Of course," she whispered, holding him tight. In that moment, all the fears and doubts seemed to fade away, replaced by the simple, unconditional love they shared.
"So that's how it ends huh?" Jake said as both him and Finn helped to lodge the trashes across the Ooo Junkyard which by passing at the Raggedy Princess, she gave a slight smile at the Prince helping her Raggenbone Kingdom. "Your mom is making us doing community services for the whole month because we rescued her and now she's allowing you to become an adventurer and a hero?"
"In exchange of I keep my responsibilities of a Prince, call my mom every night when I'm not at home, and live somewhere in a neutral zone where it would be nearby Candy Kingdom where she could still be near me." Finn stated as he could see the princess giggling at him, which the magical dog nodded his head in understanding.
"Well, you can stay with me and Jermaine, we live in a tree house not that far away of Candy Kingdom, you went into one of our parties."Jake offered a solution as both Prince and the Dog the Hero helped to carry more the trash around to be organized to the princess nearby.
"Thanks Jake, but are you sure wouldn't be too much?" Finn asked as Jake simply dismissed him by shaking his head.
"Not at all, I'm sure Jermaine will be happy after he sees you, he felt kinda down for not going at your birthday a few days ago, and since his cold is getting cured, he will be in a new shape soon. He can even teach you a few sword moves," Jake simply shrugged as Finn couldn't help but feel more excisted.
"Mathematical, I'm just glad mom let me to finally be adventurer and a hero. I thought she would go berserk after yesterday." Finn said as he even showed a bit of guilt on how the day had turned after his birthday. He never thought to see his mom that angry before. "I thought she was going to trash the royal chambers after we returned."
"Welp, moms are crazy, I'm sure mine would have gotten along with yours a long time ago." Jake stated as the duo helped to organize more piles and piles of dirt, until suddenly Jake saw some figure moving across the shadows of the Junkyard. "What the?"
The movement was so quickly that made Finn who was about to carry the trash, suddenly there was a tremor into a giant pillar of trash which was about to move and fall over him.
"Ahhhhhh," Finn screamed and was about to get a lot of trash over him, when suddenly like a breeze, the trash simply exploded into non-existence. "What?"
"Woah, what just happened?" Jake asked as the duo suddenly saw a figure which moved in an incredible speed, "Finn watchout."
Finn suddenly grabbed his sword Scarlet and raised against the figure who just stopped.
"This is no place for a child. Leave this dump now." The figure said but also cough which made Finn slowly had his eyes wide open into seeing something he never saw before, it was a machinery which resembled the Gumball Guardians but in a smaller size. Which means he's a subject of the Candy Kingdom.
"My name is Prince Finnegan Gummy Bubblegum, I'm the Prince and young son of the Princess Bubblegum, royalty of Candy Kingdom, identify yourself." Finn usually doesn't like to expose his title to whenever he would go, but to see a candy subject that he never had seen before? He wanted to demand answers.
"My liege," The figure paused, as he slowly walked towards the prince and knelled in front of the Prince of Candy Kingdom. "My guidelines says I always must obey the commands of my Princess, even as she wanted my execution."
"What?" Both Finn and Jake asked loudly as the duo looked at the man coughing.
"Hey man, are you okay?" Finn asked as the person coughed which shook his head.
"No...When I was a young robot, I went horseback riding. None taught me how to post. The horse took a crazy jump and I came back down on the saddle hard. One of my gumballs bounced up inside me. It's been lodged in a weird spot for years." The robot commented which made Finn flinches from the story.
"Yikes. Okay hold on. I think I have my screw driver with me somewhere." Finn took a time to search across his tool equipment while he could see his friend staring at him in surprise, "What? You never know when some trash could be valuable and a good fix wouldn't do it for later. Don't tell anybody, but I even saw mom grabbing some scraps her to do some experiments back home."
"No way." Jake said as he was listening and seeing Finn slowly opening up the mechanical nose of the robot, while he opened to see from inside the mess that could be inside.
"Wow, that ball is really clutched on that engine which was used nearby your lungs. It must have been awful for you to breath at night. Let me help you." Finn using the screw driver managed to slowly help to make the gumball unstuck which on the next second the engine start spinning and the lungs started to expand normally. "There you go, good as new."
"AH MY GUMBALL HA HAHAHAHA." The robot laughed happily as he even hugged the Prince. "Thank you my liege."
"Robot, as your liege, I want you to identify yourself and tell me the crimes you commit over the kingdom." Finn said with autority which the gumball robot lowered himself in a humble servitude as he gave the truth.
"My name is Rattleballs, and I was a Gumball Guard… and here's our story." Rattleballs finally decided to share everything he done, the purpose Princess Bubblegum had created them, and how she decided to eliminate every single one of them.
.
.
.
"Oh my Glob that's horrible." Jake commented as Finn remained in silence from the truth being exposed like that.
"As you can see, my identify had been in secret as I had to hide in the shadows for never once be discovered by the Princess, which is why I humbly request you to have this secret and don't tell the princess." Rattleballs bowed at the Prince who remained in silence, as Jake was about to say they were going to keep the secret.
"I cannot hide a secret from my mom Rattleballs…" Finn gave the bad news over the Gumball Guard, but before Jake saying something Finn had something different in mind, "However… Gumball Guard Rattleballs… I Prince Finnegan Gummy Bubblegum I pardon your crimes over Candy Kingdom over you Royal Promise to never hurt any Candy People nor me and my mom, nor people which both of us care so much as long as you live…and with only exception of me and my mom commanding you with the good intentions of our heart."
Which that statement made Jake had his mouth wide open, and Rattleballs remained in silence, but then bowing to the prince in gratitude.
"I Rattleballs Gumball Guard of Candy Kingdom, I Royal Promise." Rattleballs accepted as he never thought he would felt so grateful for someone who came to his aid.
"Then cherish and celebrate Rattleballs, your crimes had been pardoned, and you are welcomed to the Candy Kingdom," Finn smiled as he took his little golden sword with him. "Also I would like a few sword lessons with you."
"Oh boy… Princess Bubblegum is not going to be happy with that." Jake could already guess on how annoyed the Princess was going to be at the time Finn was going to explain that to her.
"Mother…"
Princess Bubblegum hadn't even finished her tea when the voice of her son, Finn, reached her ears. His tone, the same one that had been a source of both pride and frustration, was now laced with an unmistakable seriousness. She had barely managed to keep her composure after everything that had transpired in the past 24 hours, and now it seemed she would have to endure another one of his unpredictable decisions.
She let out an exasperated shout.
"GLOB DAMMIT." Without warning, Princess Bubblegum flung the plate of cake and muffins to the side, the delicate porcelain crashing onto the floor with a small but sharp sound. Turning her back to him, her eyes briefly closed in a moment of silent frustration. She could already feel the headache building up behind her eyes.
"What is it this time?" she asked, her voice tight with a mix of irritation and concern.
.
.
.
Children made of jelly and licorice played hopscotch with candy canes, and a marshmallow vendor handed out free samples to an enthusiastic crowd. It was just another ordinary, delightful day.
That was until a piercing shriek erupted from the castle, cutting through the idyllic atmosphere like a knife through buttercream.
"YOU DID WHAT?!"
The voice, unmistakably that of Princess Bubblegum, thundered from the highest tower. Every candy citizen froze mid-step, their sugary smiles turning to wide-eyed alarm. Even the birds, which looked suspiciously like flying gumdrops, stopped mid-flight.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS A GUMBAL GUARD STILL IN OPERATION, AND YOU HAD PARDON HIM?!"
The screech echoed through the streets, causing a stack of candy crates to topple over in the market square. A few citizens exchanged uneasy glances, their colorful faces betraying a mix of curiosity and apprehension. But then, as if by unspoken agreement, they simply shrugged and went back to their activities.
The candy children resumed their game, the marshmallow vendor returned to handing out samples, and the gumball guards resumed their patrol with practiced indifference. After all, shouts from the castle were as much a part of life in the Candy Kingdom as the sunshine and sugar.
Starchy who had been helping to dig a few graves towards the Candy Kingdom, looked at the screeching coming from the castle, as he slowly blinked but with a nod on his head, he started to dig two new graves. One for the probably future Prince who will end up killing himself after his mom kills him, and another for the princess who someday she would get too much headaches from dealing with her son.
"I didn't know it was Tuesday already... oh, it's Wednesday, that's new." Starchy checked his calendar, which in the end he simply shrugged as the candy people were aware that some point of the day, or some day of the month, Prince Finn would always come up with something that would leave Princess Bubblegum crazy.
But that's how had been the things on the Candy Kingdom, and everyone was happy with it.
