Langara Government Council Towers
Kelowna, Langaran System
Deputy Minister Anisette Dreylock got off the elevator and percieves to First Minister Jonas Quinn office. She is wearing a tan pantsuit and have her hair tightly in a bun. She is holding a tablet that Earth had provided her, which she used to keep tabs on various projects and issues within the government. A few minutes ago, a notification bubble popped up on the screen, alerting her to an urgent message from the First Minister himself, regarding military matters.
"Good afternoon, First Minister," Anisette said, as she stepped into the room.
In the office, there stood a man with digital camouflage with a red beret, she distinctly knew that the man is from Earth. She briefly read his name, which says Jon and a rank of a Colonel.
"Good morning Deputy Minister." Jonas Quinn greeted her with a firm nod, his gaze shifting from the steely blue horizon to the newcomers. His desk is littered with paperwork, even though they haven't step out of the digital age for decades.
"I have reviewed the plans to station Earth forces in the Cardmagne Haven." Deputy Minister Anisette Drelock said, her voice steady and businesslike. "So, the planetary Council members won't argue over trivialities?"
"Let's hope not," Jonas said with a hint of weariness in his voice.
Kianna approaches her husband's desk. "Terrania and the Andari Federation have no claims to the island, Colonel." She says, her eyes flicking to the holographic map floating on her husband's desk.
"Cardmagne Haven?" Colonel Jon Tan echoed, his eyes flicking to the map.
"It was an abandon military base during the Terrania war." Jonas began, gesturing to the holographic map of the island. "It's isolated, easily defensible, and has enough infrastructure to support a garrison of thousands."
Colonel Tan studied the map, nodding thoughtfully. "It seems strategic."
"The real estate is ideal," Anisette agreed.
Jon Tan zooms out the holographic map, it's the current and updated map of the planet. The island is a few kilometers away from Kelowna and far from the prying eyes of the Terrania and Andari Federation. Then he spotted several squadrons of unknown fighters flying above the Andari Federation skies. He was briefed on the level of technology regarding towards flight, but he never knew they had this kind of capability.
"First Minister Quinn?" Jon Tan spoke up, his gaze still on the holographic map. "I'm detecting unidentified aerial vehicles in Andari airspace."
Jonas Quinn's eyes snapped to the map, a frown furrowing his brow. "Don't worry about them," Jonas reassured him. "They haven't reached the jet turbine level yet, they're still in a hot air balloon stage."
"Are you sure?" Jon Tan questioned, his gaze unwavering from the fighters on the map.
"Pull them up." Jonas instructed, walking closer to the map. The image of delta shape fighters grew larger as Colonel Tan complied.
"Yes sir." Jon complied.
"Looks like Goa'uld death gliders." Jonas said, his voice flat as he recognized Goa'uld technology. "How the hell did they get their hands on Goa'uld technology."
Kianna's eyes widened. "Oh Thano's."
"What is it?" Jonas ask his wife, his eyes still glued to the map.
"After Anubis implanted me with the symboite," Kianna explained. "I... The Goa'uld gave the Andari scientist schematics of their death gliders."
Deputy Minister Anisette's eyes narrowed as she studied the holographic images. "The Andari have been secretly developing these?" she asked in disbelief. She turns towards the door, she never believe the Andari delegates.
"Appears so," Jonas murmured, his frown deepening. "This complicates things. The council won't be happy to hear this."
"Where are they headed?" Kianna asks.
Jon studied the fighters' trajectory on the map, "Damn."
"Colonel?" Jonas's voice was tight as he glanced up from the map.
"They are heading straight towards our ship in orbit." Jon said.
Free Alteran Warship Ganos Lal
Stationary Orbit over Kelowna
Commander Tomin, the commander of the Free Alteran Warship Ganos Lal,is in the bridge. Surrounded by his people whom he has served with and trusted, eversince they were free from the influence of the Ori. He had chosen the ship's name after ascended ancient that help his people and the inhabitants free from the influence of the Ori and their Priors.
He is wearing a sky blue uniform with a two prong staff on his left chest with two stars on top, marking him the highest rank. As he sits down on the command chair, his communication's officer, a blond hair woman tied in a bun, called out. "Sir, we are receiving a priority message from Colonel Tan!"
Tomin nodded and leaned closer to the comms. "Colonel Tan, what's the situation?"
"Unknown fighters are approaching your position, Commander," Jon Tan's voice was urgent. "They match the signatures of Goa'uld death gliders, but we believe they're of Andari origin."
Tomin's grip on the armrests tightened, his gaze flicking to the incoming data. "Understood. I believe it's fools errand. This ship is the most powerful ship in the two galaxies." Tomin stated as he order of his crew member to bring it up on the view screen.
The screen flickered to life, displaying the small dots of the Andari fighters growing larger as they approached. The bridge was a flurry of activity as the crew prepared for potential combat. The Ganos Lal's shields hummed to life, and the energy weapons charged up, ready to respond to the threat.
"I know Commander," A new voice that Tomin recognizes as First Minister Jonas Quinn. "They don't take lightly to an occupation that once was the Ori."
"Let's bygones be bygones." Commander Tomin said, his voice steady despite the tension in the room. "We are not the Ori. Our intentions are peaceful. We are here to protect."
A few miles away from the Ori warship, the Andari fighters grew larger and more ominous as they approached. As they fly above the cloud layer, the angular shaped vessels looked like the planet's bird of prey as they broke the planet's atmosphere.
Out in the distance, they could see the Ori Warship. Their central ring glows with pure energy, a very distinctive silhouette and recognizable warship the inhabitants of the milky way galaxy had come to fear. The Andari fighters grew more significant as they approached, the sun glinting off their shiny gray exteriors.
"Command, we are on final approach." Lieutenant Jakhay Jori announced as he piloted the lead Andari death glider. The other three gliders followed closely behind him in a V-shaped formation.
Lieutenant Jakhay Jori is no stranger to the presence of the Ori. as his family member were killed since they did not adhere to the teachings of the Ori when they landed their warship at the capital of Andari Federation. His dark skin is beaded with sweat, and his eyes are focused on the target ahead. His heart races as the distance narrows between his fighter and the looming Ori threat.
"Weapons locked," Jori said, his voice echoing through the comms to the rest of the squadron.
Then came another comms signal, it's not from Andari Federation Central Command or the the two other planetary body government.
"This is Commander Tomin of the Free Alteran Warship Ganos Lal."
Jakhay Jori first instinct is to ignore the message and press ahead with his mission. However, something about the calmness in Commander Tomin's voice gives him pause. He glances at his wingman, who nods solemnly.
"It's an Ori trick." Jakhay Jori murmured to himself.
"Any attempt to attack our ship..." The voice of Tomin pierce through the static. "Your life will be forfeit."
Jori took a deep breath, his finger hovering over the fire trigger on the flight stick. He hates the Ori, but the voice on the comms did not sound like a Prior that once serves the Ori. What he doesn't know is that the Ori are dead, thanks to the Tau'ri.
Tomin's voice grew more insistent. "Your people are safe from the Ori. We are not your enemy. Stand down your weapons."
Jori hesitated, his hand hovering over the fire control. The other pilots in his squadron looked to him for guidance, their expressions a mix of anger and uncertainty. The Andari had suffered under the yoke of the Ori during their occupation of the planet, and the sight of an Ori ship in their skies was like a festering wound reopened.
Then, all of a sudden; dozens of bright lights shot out from the Ori warship, only missing the Andari fighters by a hair's breadth. The display of power was not lost on the Andari pilots. The lights were a clear message, a warning shot across their bow.
