I hope you guys are liking the content so far. I'm having some difficulties writing this story, I'm finding myself diving more into storytelling, and less into the action we are all here to read. If you want to read my discarded chapters, please let me know and I'll consider uploading them. My hope is to release 1 chapter per week for the foreseeable future. I have been given some criticism from a reader named Dave, I will attempt to work my way around your quandary and will rectify the potential situation you highlighted.
Anyway, let us begin
Chapter 3: Werewolf Attack
In the cold night of May 6th 1993, Harry and Hermione watched off in the distance as the transformed Lupin thrashed Sirius to the ground. Snape stood protecting the trio as Lupin bared down on them. Hermione could wait no longer, cupping her hands to her mouth, she let out a howl that echoed across the scottish countryside.
"What are you doing?" Harry called, ripping her arms back to break the funnel Hermione used to channel her mimicking howl.
"Saving your life." Hermione answered, defiantly to the boy she had now harbored a crush on for nearly 3 years, 3 long years. Bringing her hands back up to her face, cupping them again she let out another howl that rolled across the expanse of the field to the figure of Lupin off into the distance.
"Thanks" Harry regarded, looking at Hermione with appreciation. Glancing back up, Harry was horrified by what he witnessed. Lupin turned to look at them and started dashing towards the duo. "Great, now he's coming for us."
"Yeah, didn't think about that." Hermione frantically answered, "RUN!" she instructed, grabbing Harry's hand, turning and dashing further into the woods. The trotting of the werewolf sending thumping vibrations through the ground as he thundered after the pair.

The duo had managed to escape Lupin with the aid of Buckbeak. Hermione watched on as Harry cast the patronus that saving his past self and Sirius from the onslaught of dementors. She could hardly contain how attractive she found Harry in that moment.
As Harry walked up to Hermione, he stopped in front of her, looking at her as he reveled in the triumph of taking on a hundred dementors. Horror reflected in his eyes at seeing what was being Hermione. Hermione spun around rapidly as the figure of Lupin stalked out of the woods, hellbent on finishing the fight they had narrowly escaped.
Harry spun with Hermione presenting his back to the beast as Lupin sent a clawed hand at them. Harry was struck, being thrown clear of Hermione. Lupin focused in on the downed target ignoring Hermione standing terrified before the scene. As Lupin approached Harry, Harry was on his back, crawling to gain space, fumbling for his wand from his pocket.
Courage surged through Hermione as seeing one she cared so deeply for about to be done in. Leaping onto the back of Lupin, she locked her arms around the beast's neck, hanging on for the worst bull ride of all time. Unable to hold on, she felt herself loosen from the beast's back. A great paw came around and grabbed a hold of her.
The unholy maw of the werewolf bared its teeth at Hermione as it held her. The fight had not left Hermione yet as she continued to fight and kick. Her kick landed to the abdomen of Lupin, causing the creature to wince. Anger plowed through any restraint as the beast bit down on the shoulder of Hermione.
Hermione's scream pierced the night, Harry having found his wand bellowed "STUPEFY". Remus dropped Hermione unceremoniously to the ground as he slouched backwards from the magical unconsciousness that rushed over the ailed teacher. Harry crawled up to Hermione where she sat trembling.
"That was potentially the dumbest thing I've ever done." Hermione confessed as she looked up at Harry. Harry pulled off his light jacket, shivering slightly from the fading winter months, using it to bandage up Hermione's shoulder.
"It doesn't appear too bad, if we get you to Madam Pomfrey, she should be able to fix you." Harry consoled. Picking her up, he carried her back to where they had left Buckbeak tied to a tree. The great beast appeared distraught at being unable to protect the kids from the werewolf.
Placing Hermione on the Buckbeak's back, Harry clamored aboard, "To the hospital wing"
"First we have to free Sirius" Hermione explained.
"Not without saving you first." Harry retorted, defiantly unable to lose his friend.
"I'm fine for now, let's save Sirius" Flying up to the holding cell Sirius was to be placed in, they hid on the roof awaiting. They didn't have to wait long as Snape strong armed Sirius into the cell. Turning, Snape strode back down the stairs, Harry had to hold back from firing Expelliarmus at the retreating form of his most despised teacher.
Jumping down, Harry surprised the hell out of Sirius, aiming his wand and blasting the door off.

After setting Sirius free on Buckbeak, Hermione and Harry limped back to the Hospital Wing, arriving just as their previous forms had disappeared leaving a stammering Ron. Harry had no patience for it at the moment, calling out to Madam Pomfrey.
The matron rushed out and paled at seeing the state of Harry, and particularly Hermione, as blood soaked through Harry's jacket. Without asking questions, Pomfrey whisked Hermione into a bed behind a privacy screen, removing the bandages and torn shirt from her chest. Casting several diagnostic charms, Pomfrey was elated to see the absence of Lycanthropy on her scans.
"Miraculously, you've evaded the Lycanthropic enzymes of the bite. You won't be a werewolf." she explained to Hermione as she patched her up. Harry was granted access to Hermione as the privacy barrier stayed in place. Hermione may be ok with her lack of clothing to Harry, but hardly wanted the world to see her like this.

Lucius stood among the board as Lupin sat at one table with Dumbledore beside him. Scowling down, Lucius addressed them "You knowingly employed a werewolf in the roll of Defense Against the Dark Arts. An action which resulted in a student being bitten. How can you explain away such foolishness?"
Hermione and Harry sat at another table, forced to be the aggrieved party against the teachers. Harry could contain himself no more; "He's the best teacher we've had in that roll. It was an accident, Hermione is not a werewolf as has been proven."
Turning toward him with a sneer, Lucius spoke with a icy drawl "It was a preventable accident, not that I asked for your opinion." Haughtiness dripped off of him as he faced forward properly. "I move to remove Lupin from his role as instructor for Defense Against the Dark Arts and to remove Dumbledore from his role as acting Headmaster."
Unfortunately the votes saw Lupin cast from the roster of Hogwarts teachers, though Dumbledore narrowly escaped the same fate. Lupin sorrowfully approached the pair, eyes bloodshot from tears "I am so sorry Hermione" he puttered out, "I was so focused on Sirius and Pettigrew that I forgot my potion." Hanging his head in shame.
Harry could control himself no more as he launched himself at Lupin, embracing him in a hug. Hermione came up behind and beside Harry and hugged the former teacher as well. A forced smile tugged on Remus's lip at the action as he hung and arm around the 2, accepting the hug.
After the trial, Harry and Hermione went to sit on the beach of the Black Lake, chatting together about what had happened. "Hermione, you are the bravest person I know. You jumped on the back of a werewolf to protect me, thank you." Harry confessed to her.
"Not unlike someone who jumped on the back of a troll to save me." Hermione quipped as she leaned into him. Unable to contain their feelings anymore, Hermione turned to Harry, the briefly found each others lips in a quick kiss to show their affection for each other. Hermione gazed into the brilliant green orbs of Harry, gently biting her lip as she asked if Harry liked her as she like him.
Harry stared back into her soft brown eyes, full of compassion, intelligence and the love she held for him. Harry could hardly think of anything other than the love he had for her. With a quick gasp, Harry dragged Hermione on top of him as they crashed their mouths together in a heated snog.
Coming up for air after what felt like an eternity, Hermione snuggled into Harry's chest, content in their new found relationship.

Word spread quick around the school of the new relationship between Harry and Hermione. Neither were spared envied glances by the youngest Weasleys, Ginny at Hermione and Ron at Harry, as each of their conquests were denied to them. Ginny had fawned over Harry since long before she knew him. Her mother would read her stories of the gallant adventures of Harry. Harry rescuing her from the Basilisk did little to help these aspirations to belong to the Great Harry Potter.
Ron quietly seethed as Hermione was tucked into Harry's side at the lunch table. Having finished her meal, Hermione was quietly reading a book, basking in the warmth of Harry before it was time to ascend to their next class. Dumbledore had taken over the remaining Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Hermione chuckled to herself as she recalled Dumbledore throwing Harry into a couch during a mock duel.
Ron on the other hand was contemplating how he could regain the attention of Hermione. Everything had been going to plan, Harry was to get with Ginny and Ron was to get with Hermione. This would enable him to ride her intelligence into an easy life where he wouldn't have to do anything except the bare minimum. She could do all the finances, the housework, raise the kids, all Ron would have to do is get a job enough to support them.
Harry was ignorant of the glances of Ron and Ginny. He gently leaned his side against Hermione, revelling in the companionship they had gained. A month had passed since the fateful night they had rescued Sirius and found each other in their relationship, and Harry had the perfect surprise for Hermione to mark their one month before they had to depart for the summer.

It was Friday evening, the 4th of June. They would be leaving school in a week, but while they were at school, Harry would take every opportunity he could. Classes had just let out, finals were completed, only the remaining week of packing out, final grades, final pleads from students to teachers for an extra point, and in a week they would be leaving the grounds of Hogwarts, heading back to the smog of London.
Harry lead Hermione out to the beaches of Black Lake, Hermione was perplexed, eager to get to the hall to grab some food. Cresting the small hill, Hermione was elated to see a picnic basket and blanket all laid out.
"Oh Harry" She called as she turned, embracing him in a hug, and giving him a quick passionate kiss to his lips. Somehow this had completely surprised her, though she should have learned never to underestimate the surprising qualities of Harry.
They quickly delved into the meal, devouring the spread and laying under the darkening sky of the Scottish land. Hermione had never felt such contentment before in her life. Everything was perfect. The moon began to peek out, brilliantly full, as it started basking the pair in moonlight.
As it finished its crest over the horizon, pain shot through Hermione. Stiffening against Harry, he jolted to alertness as the situation unfolded. "Hermione, Hermione are you ok?" He questioned as he held onto his girlfriend. Hermione rolled away from him and came up onto her haunches. Harry quickly rose to a kneeling position beside the girl he loved.
Changes quickly traversed through Hermione's body. Her meager height of 5'5" grew out to almost 7' tall. Her smooth sand colored skin began taking on a layer of fur, the same color as her brown locks. Her fingers lengthened, with black ivory claws shooting out the end, coming to a sharp point on the tips. Her face morphed into a similar rendition of her cat form from the polyjuice, her teeth growing into sharp fangs that jutted out of her mouth slightly.
Her hair grew down her back into a great mane, ears poking out the top of her head. Traveling further down, a tail pushed out from under her skirt. Popping sounds could be heard as the stitching failed on her shirt which used to sit comfortably loose on her, that now stretched tight from her transformation. Her shirt gave way as her breasts burst through the buttons. What were respectable size orbs for her age, grew to comical sizedr. Her socks ripped as her legs pushed out of her shoes, which in turn fell loose from her new paws.
Harry stood slowly and quietly backed away as the form of Hermione panted from her crouched position. A slight dip in the terrain had him falling onto his ass which caught the attention of Hermione. Her face turned to him, gone were the intelligent brown eyes, yellow slitted ones stared back on him. With a pounce, she was on him, and there was nothing Harry could do to fight her.
End chapter 3, you'll have to come back to find out what happens in chapter 4.
