Hello again ! Please enjoy !

I will try to write more... lenghty chapters, but for now I'm not quite ready to spend that much time at once. That, or you'll have to wait a while for a next chapter.. ehe...

Warning : N/A

It was not the first time Eileen traveled by plane, but it had been a while. She barely remembers traveling with her mother when she was a small child overwhelmed by life. Her eyes could see souls, and it was destroying her brain.

Medicine didn't change anything, she would have a migraine as soon as she was outside, to the point where her mother spent all her money on various doctors and specialists. They were all baffled, IRM revealing nothing but brain damage.

So, they left the country and traveled all the way to Shikoku as a last ditch effort. Her mother was Buddhist, even though she practiced alone, and so, she decided to make a pilgrimage with her three years old daughter to pray for her health.

Her prayers didn't do much, but Shikoku brought her peace. There were not so many people on the pilgrimage route, and the few they met weren't wavering colors attacking her brain.

They stopped at a few temples along the way, Eileen could barely remember tall gates and walls, everything seemed gigantic to her three years old size.

They met a monk, although she doesn't remember anything but his soft golden color, and she remembers a hand covering her back while she was guided to meditate. She still meditates to this day, sometimes feeling the ghost sensation of a giant palm on her back.

So, it was not the first time Eileen took the plane, but it had been ten years, resulting of getting lost at the airport three times before she finally reached the good gate. She fell asleep soon after the takeoff, and meditated the rest of the way, sleeping a little more barely an hour before they reached their destination. She woke up to a hand shaking softly her shoulder, a flight attendant waking her up before they landed.

Satoru gave her his number, as well as Masamichi, one of the instructors of the school that accompanied Satoru to recruit her. They booked her the plane ticket and she confirmed the landing time before departure.

She was a little worried that she would have a hard time adjusting to a new country. She had to learn their language. Communicating with souls didn't mean she spoke their language, it only meant to be understood. Meaning she could speak Japanese with a Japanese speaker, but couldn't speak Japanese by herself after meeting one.

The white haired teenager she met on the roof the previous week was waiting at the gate with a ridiculously decorated sign spelling her first name with flowers. Satoru seemed to be a good guy, although he seemed a little empty, showing more than he felt. Eileen stopped in front of him.

"Hello Eileen-san !", he greeted her happily, giving her the sign and a paper bag.

"Good morning Satoru-san", she greeted back, before looking at the paper bag in her hand with a curious raise of an eyebrow.

"It's mochis ! I thought you might be hungry !", he easily explained. "Come along, we are awaited by our classmates !"

She looked at his colors. Contrary to his enthusiasm, he was calm, if not a little excited when he talked about his classmates waiting for them.

It was by far not the first time she met someone showing emotions they didn't feel, everyone faked something at one point, but she didn't understand why he made such an effort to act… extravagantly.

A black car was parked in front of the airport, and once Eileen could grab her suitcase and backpack -Satoru took her suitcase without having to ask, they could finally leave.

She left Paris at 8am. She landed in Tokyo at 6am. She would have a hard time adjusting to the jetlag for the first days, but she felt rested enough to stay awake at least for today.

"Here", Satoru gave her a small book with children's drawings on the cover. "So you can start learning ! Although you'll probably need someone to help you, there is no English counterpart in there"

She opened the book, quickly browsing it and snorting. It was the kind of book you would give a three years old child, with pictures and words to accompany them.

"Thank you, Satoru-san", she thanked him all the same, tucking it in the front of her backpack.

"Just so you know, it would be best to call the people you meet with their last name, or it could be considered a little… rude", Satoru informed her.

"Should I call you Gojo-san ?", she suggested. She was not going to apologize, after all she didn't know better, but she supposed it was the polite thing to ask.

"Nah, I'm good", was his answer. "Your last name is really hard to say, I would have to call you by that if you did".

Her full name was Eileen Le Febvre. Even French people could get confused about the pronunciation since the "b" of her last name was silent.

"I think it would be best for everyone to call me by my firstname", she mused before taking mochis out of the bag Satoru gave her, giving him one that he accepted without hesitation, putting it in his mouth in one bite.

"Anyway, how do you feel about all this ? You okay ?"asked the white haired teenager once he swallowed the sweet treat.

"I'm okay. I'm a little apprehensive about learning a new language, but I'm also excited to meet other sorcerers", she answered truthfully.

After all, the first time she felt someone like her was on the rooftop of the hotel where she met Satoru, feelings of wonder as she looked at his eyes for the first time. She had been… a little scared, also. She knew what she was capable of, and didn't know what he could do. If he was capable of destroying on a whim like her… The prospect was scary. Her powers… cursed technique as they called it, allowed her a vast range of actions, some really dangerous. But it also made her feel safe, knowing that nothing could harm her because she was stronger.

Now, she knew that there were people like her, dangerous people for her. She had been a big fish in a small pond, and she wasn't ready to face the sea. She didn't have a choice… Well, she could have refused Yaga-san's proposition to join them, but he had been truthful during their meeting, her ability to see souls allowed her to know when someone was lying, and they really needed help.

If her gift.. her cursed technique could help them… Eileen didn't believe in power without responsibility. If she was strong enough to protect, so should she. It was as simple as that.

It didn't take very long before they reached the bottom of the stairs leading to the Jujutsu Tokyo School. Satoru took her suitcase again, and they started climbing, the car leaving shortly after.

"We are four with your addition !", Satoru informed her happily. "Shoko-san is gonna be happy that the number of girls is now equal to the number of boys !"

Eileen went to school and graduated early in France, at age fourteen. She remembered how painful the experience had been for her. Children and teenagers were easily influenced, emotional and low key mean sometimes, and it was exhausting for her. But the school had hundreds of children, not… what… fifteen total max ?

It puts into perspective the fact that they had a shortage of sorcerers. She had felt a lot of lost souls… cursed spirits while traveling across Tokyo by car, the negative energy seemed saturated in Japan, contrary to France. It made her wonder why Japan.

There were a lot of stairs, and once they reached the top, Eileen froze. It was… huge. Traditional Japanese buildings covering the ground, surrounded by mountains and forests. And it was peaceful, in a way. She didn't regret choosing to come here to begin with, but the more she saw, the more she felt happy to have been recruited.

"Hm ? What's up ? Come along !", Satoru didn't give her time to look more, snatching her wrist and dragging her across the school grounds until they reached a small building. "This is where we have theoritical classes", he explained as they entered.

He opened a sliding door rather loudly, the two occupants looking up at the sound.

"Here she is !", Satoru claimed happily, letting go of her wrist and entering the classroom.

"Good morning", she greeted politely.

"Everyone, this is Eileen… Huh… What was it again ?", Satoru asked, turning his head toward her with a slight frown.

"Le Febvre", she said with a small smile. "But please, feel free to call me Eileen"

The girl and the boy stood up from their respective chairs across the room, coming closer.

"I'm Ieri Shoko", the girl introduced herself first, her brown hair sliding across her face while she nodded.

"Geto Suguru, nice to meet you", the boy said, and Eileen had to crane her neck to look him in the eyes.

This guy was huge. While Satoru was tall, he was rather skinny, so the difference in size between them didn't feel too much. But Suguru ? He had broad shoulders, dwarfing Shoko with his stature, and so was Eileen.

"Sooo, I think a good introduction between sorcerers would be a little demonstration of your skill ?", Satoru suggested.

"Is that really necessary ? I'm tired", was Shoko's answer, accompanied with a yawn covered by a small hand.

"I can do something about this", Eileen answered with an amused smile at the display.

They must have gotten up early to greet her. How nice of them. With a twirl of her wrist, an ocarina appeared.

"Wait, it's not the flute that I saw before !", Satoru exclaimed, and was it.. disappointment in his voice ? Her soothing song must have marked him.

"I choose my instruments depending on my mood", she easily explained, skipping the technicality, and she then took her ocarina to her lips, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes.

She had to focus. Her power was tightly wrapped with intention. She wanted them to feel energised, like they just had a good night's sleep and were ready for a good day. A little smile jerked the corner of her lips as emotions engulfed her, feeling like she was ready to take on the world.

Then, she played. The melody was not too fast, but had just the rhythm needed to want to tap your foot along.

When she was done, her ocarina disappeared, revoked now that it had served its purpose.

"Wow", was Shoko's first reaction, a little smile stretching her lips. "I feel like I just slept ten hours, that's crazy"

Suguru nodded, seemingly impressed.

"So you can… huh.. alter minds with music ?" Shoko asked.

"I can project", she rectified. "It's a little hard to explain, but I have to set my own mood so it aligns with my intentions. If I'm.. ah, let's say angry, and I try to play a soothing song, it will probably still results in people losing their mind in violence"

"That sounds exhausting", Satoru intervened with a slight frown. "You have to force yourself to feel something even though you don't initially"

"I have a really good grasp on my emotions", Eileen answered reassuringly. "It's not that bad. Although…" She looked at Shoko. "Being a woman, it's sometimes exhausting", she did a little wink and Shoko nodded, getting what she was talking about.

Hormones influenced emotions, and so… menstruations were sometimes a bitch and a half to reign in her emotions.

"I didn't get it", Satoru complained. "Did you?", he then asked Suguru.

Suguru pointedly looked elsewhere, a little pink covering his cheekbones. Shoko rolled her eyes.

"Well, since you showed us what you could do, it's only fair we share", she said. "I can use reversed cursed technique on other peoples"

Eileen blinked. Waited for more explanation. Shoko didn't speak more. She looked at Satoru.

"Ah right, she is a total newbie", Satoru exclaimed. "Reverse cursed technique is something sorcerers can use to heal themselves by converting negative energy into positive energy. But it's not something you can use on other people. Or at least, so we thought before we met Shoko !"

"That's impressive", Eileen complimented easily, because it was. Sorcerers risked their lives to fight lost souls… cursed spirits (Although she didn't, she understood that not everyone had a choice in the matter). Being able to heal… It could reduce the death rate of sorcerers taking on dangerous missions.

Suguru cleared his throat.

"I can submit cursed spirits to my will after I beat them", he declared.

Eileen blinked again.

"Are you sure I have my place here ? I just play music", she said, turning her head toward Satoru.

Honestly, she could affect the minds, sure it was useful, but it was not flashy in comparison.

"You can literally clean up a city of negative energy just by playing music", Satoru retorted dryly. "You're just as amazing as we are"

"Yeah, give yourself some credit, that's some sick skill you have", Shoko nodded along with a small smile.

Eileen smiled back.

"So, I think we're gonna have to teach her a lot of things, right ?", Satoru quipped up. "She's not a fighter at all"

"I don't want to fight. I'm against violence", Eileen frowned.

She thought she had made it clear when she met Yaga. Cleaning negative energy and letting lost souls rest was one thing. Beating them up ? No. This was against everything she valued.

"But imagine one day a cursed spirit grabs your arms. How will you play then if you can't even get away ?"

"I can sing", Eileen answered back with a raised eyebrow, challenging Satoru to find another argument.

"Well, what if it gags you ?", Satoru asked back, a smirk on his face, taking on the challenge.

Eileen frowned. Technically, he was right, she wouldn't be able to do anything. But…

"Well, I have to hope one of my amazing fighting classmates will prevent that from happening, I guess"

"C'mon", Satoru complained loudly. "If I tell you we won't, I'll be a jerk !"

"You're already a jerk", Shoko muttered, not so discreetly, obtaining a fake hurt gasp from the white haired teen.

"Although we will try our best to protect you, it would mean you can't go on solo missions, and it would limit the number of missions we can take. It would be a liability", Suguru intervened, ignoring pointedly his classmates locked in a staring contest (which was kind of funny because Saatoru had sunglasses). "Learning self defense doesn't mean we ask you to fight, but to be able to protect yourself. Does that sound more reasonable ?"

"How can I say no if you put it like that…" Eileen pretended to complain. "Fine, sure, teach me how to fight."
