Chapter 8

Six Mermaid Princesses and a Merman

I got myself home and flopped into bed due to pure exhaustion. As i lay there, a thought came to the back of my mind. Was it wrong for me to just leave Sebastian and Flounder out there and leave it to them to make sure that Ariel returns home safe?. After witnessing the events i had just seen, i could not believe my eyes when i saw here rescue that human.

As i drifted off to sleep, all i could think about was her and male human, what would happen if they some how fell in love? Then i would lose Ariel forever!. I left the scene because i was upset at the thought of this and that my turn was possibly over. My chance of being with Ariel was now very limited. Ariel's love for the human world had progressed so much lately and there was no way that she was to give it up any time soon.

I wake and a few hours must've passed as i wake to the sounds of voices calling out my name. I go to answer my front entrance to be graced by all six of Ariel's sisters "Ahhhh Good Morning Girls! How can i help you today?" i asked them. They all looked at me smiling, "So is it you?" asked Arista "bet you he is!" says Adella "This is so romantic!" says Alana, "Who would've thought it!" says Attina, "How come we didn't know!" cries Aquata, "Got something to tell us Urchn?" asks Adrina.

"Ahhh what are you doing about?" i ask all the princesses as i had no idea what was currently happening. "Your the talk of the town Urchin!" says Arista excitedly, "I'm still not following..." i say in confusion. I must admit i was still waking up. I was not ready for any major news and it seemed that Ariel's sisters luckly do not know about the events that occurred last night.

All i wanted to do is to see if Ariel was ok "Hey ahhh how's Ariel this morning?" i ask the princesses in concern "That's why we are here!" says Adella quite confidently, "You know?" i say worriedly. Oh no, if they know about what happened last night then indeed i'm a dead fish! How am i going to explain this? Particularly if the king knows, i am really a dead fish!.

"Come on don't act dumb!" says Arista quite deviously "We know about you and Ariel!", "Hang on you, you do?" i ask her. Suddenly i was very confused this doesn't sound like that they know about the events that occurred last night, they think Ariel and i are...are an item!. "Oh there must be some mistake!" i openly tell them, "Don't be silly Urchin, our sister was in the love craze this morning!" informs Aquata "Yes, she was madly singing to herself and twirling around! It really confused daddy" says Alana.

My heart began to pump fast and i smiled at the thought that Ariel had revealled that she was in love with me!. "I couldn't help notice the bunch of flowers you had at the concert! Did you run into her after the disaster?" asks Attina, Attina being the eldest of the sisters was always very observant. I nervously start to answer her question "Well yes ahhh", "How sweet!" says Adrina as she interupted me.

The sisters were not allowing me to speak or finish sentences. Each time i opened my mouth they would all interupt me unitl i asked the question, the one that really concerned me when Arista mentioned something about me being the talk of the town "Um tell me again as to how i am the talk of the town?". All the sisters went quiet and all of them were blushing "We might have said something to a few towns people" says Adella ashamedly.

"A few of the towns people!?" i scream loudly "By a few how many really?", "Mmmmmmmm guess word has spread!" Arista says with a very red face "We did say to keep it to themselves but other ears must've heard!" says Adella with also a very red face. I didn't know how to feel! Whether to feel angry that Ariel's sisters were unable to keep a secret or happy that their youngest sister is in love with me!.

"Urchin? Are you alright?" asks Attina, i had gone slient as thoughts were massively spinning in my head "Does your father know?" i ask concernly "I might've mentioned to daddy that Ariel was in love!" says Adrina. Just then as soon as Adrina mentioned that, King Tritons royal seahorse appeared out of nowhere. He had been sent by King Triton to fetch for me.

"Pardon me your highnesses! But I have an urgent request from the sea king!" He says "and it looks like you bet me to it! Urchin, the King wishes to see you right now!", I gulped. I always get nervous when King Triton wanted to see me. "We were just bringing him now!" Says Aquata to the seahorse "Tell father that we are on our way!" Adds the oldest princess Attina.

"Very well but do not keep the king waiting, i still have to find Sebastian!" The royal sea horse says before swimming off. As i watch him swim quickly off, i hadn't notice that words were coming out of my mouth due to the worry of him finding Sebastain and then Sebastian would be made to tell the king everything "Oh no!".

"What's that Urchin?" Asked Alana "I ahhh!" I nervously say "Come on your just nervous because daddy now knows about you and our sister! Now come on we will all ascort you back to the palace!" Says Adella as she took hold of my wrist. "I'm in deep trouble now!" I say in my head, feeling that someone's got the wrong end of the shell here.

I was unable to escape Ariel's sisters now, they were taking me to the palace to face the King. As we swam i thought i could hear music and singing in the distance. It appeared that many of the sea creatures had disappeared leaving only the merfolk occupying the town.

I catch a glimpse Gabriella and Ollie who i disparately wanted to escape to but i as unable. Gabriella smiles and does thumbs up in both hands. She swims up to us with Ollie "Urchin! Well done! You're almost there! Good Luck!" She says in sign "Ah thanks, you obviously know?" I ask her. She then nods and swims off as we approach the palace.

We all enter the palace and Ariel's sisters leave me at the door to King Tritons throne room. "Daddy is waiting for you!" Says Arista before all six princesses wink and swim off. I was now left to my end devices couldn't turn back now. What do i do? What mood is the sea king going to be in?. Time to face this like a merman and say what he has to say.
