"You're the King of Stranglers!"
Izuku turned on his heel, blue Six Eyes meeting a pair of crisp, golden-yellow ones.
The girl sported shoulder-length dirty blonde hair that seemed to meld into the tan cardigan that flowed below her knees while an excited grin danced on her lips.
The Sorcerer brought forth his own smile before extending a strong right hand.
"Yeah, that's me, although my friends call me Izuku." The dirty blonde eagerly took his hand, shaking it with a surprising amount of strength.
Her grin seemed to widen, the edges of it threatening to touch her eyes should she open it further.
"Can I call you Izuku then, pretty pleaseeee?" Her golden eyes displayed a sense of pleading that her grin failed to convey.
Izuku's own smile softened as he offered a small nod in affirmation as the girl before him used her free left hand to brush a dirty blonde lock from her eyes.
"Of course you can. May I have your name?"
Still smiling, the blonde spoke, joy and excitement peppering her tone as she did so.
"Himiko! Himiko Toga! But since we're friends you can call me Himiko!" She punctuated her introduction with another push of her lock.
Loosening his grip, the Sorcerer removed one of the black hair ties restraining his tri-colored locks before producing a spare from his pocket.
Closing the distance between them, Izuku gingerly grabbed a handful of blonde locks on the left side of the girl's head before wrapping it with his hair tie. Turning his attention to the right, the Sorcerer repeated the process, resulting in two messy buns adorning the girl's head.
The aforementioned teen was ecstatic, reaching her hands upward to delicately touch the buns, as though scared she might unravel them at the slightest touch.
"Sorry if they aren't that goo-"
"They're perfect!"
The sudden cutoff caught the Jujutsu Sorcerer off guard, his smile faltering before being hastily repaired.
Clearing his throat a bit, Izuku spoke once more, his once small smile now a wide grin.
"I'm glad you like it Himiko."
The blonde eagerly nodded before producing a pink cell phone, a light blush adorning her cheeks.
Almost instantly, Izuku knew what the girl wanted from him and offered her a small nod, giving her permission.
After all, this wasn't the first time he'd been noticed post-Sport's Festival.
After receiving the nod, Himiko swiftly closed the new distance between them before striking a pose in front of the teen, her phone held high in front of them.
"Say vampireeee!"
"Vampireee!"
As soon as the photo had been taken, Izuku's stop arrived, the boy bidding his new friend farewell. Unbeknownst to him, however,
Was that Himiko Toga, had found her latest obsession.
"Excuse me, Midoriya?"
Turning about face, Izuku met the owner of the voice that'd called his name, a slight look of recognition gracing his features.
Before him stood a petite girl, round-rimmed glasses adorning her perpetually stern face as the silver hair that wasn't tied in a crisp bun framed her angular jaw.
"Ite-San, how can I help you?" The Sorcerer punctuated his question with a tilt of his head.
His former dodgeball teammate raised one of her slender fingers, using it to stabilize her glasses before dropping into a deep bow.
"Thank you for utilizing me during the dodgeball game. It's resulted in a plethora of offers in both potential Hero work and apprenticeship opportunities with large corporations. I can not convey my gratitude to you enough Midoriya."
As the words flowed past her lips, Izuku Midoriya felt only one emotion course through his being.
Shock.
Frantically waving his hands, the Sorcerer hastily refuted the praise, his embarrassment punctuated by a twinge of pink.
"D-Don't thank me, it was your own strength that set the plan in motion and gave us that early lead. You earned every single one of those offers, I had nothing to do with it."
The silver-haired student remained silent for a while, internally mulling over what the Sorcerer had said, before standing and offering a swift nod.
"I see. Regardless you helped give me a stage to show that strength. Thank you, Midoriya."
Before the boy could offer his retort, Hoshi turned on her heel and walked away, leaving the Sorcerer with an agape mouth.
"DEKU!"
The moment the Sorcerer stepped through the door, he felt slender arms wrap around his frame in tandem with a face cementing itself against his chest.
Shifting his gaze down, he caught the form of his girlfriend and hastily returned the embrace, allowing his right hand to freely roam along her back.
Per usual, once the teens made contact with one another, the world around them dissipated, leaving only the presence of the other.
"Ahem."
Until a voice interrupted them.
The interjection halted their brief lack of awareness, snapping the couple back to reality.
Before them stood Mina Ashido, a wide grin nearly splitting her face as she gazed upon the couple.
"I think you owe us an explanation."
The stain of her grin remained upon her face as she spoke to the couple, her request punctuated by a playfully impatient tap of her feet.
The couple looked each other in the eye before shifting their gazes downward toward their entangled bodies.
Combined chocolate and Six Eyes widened in realization before their owners hastily separated, crimson flooding their features as they desperately avoided locking eyes with anyone present.
An evanescent yelp rang through the class as Ochako jumped, her skeleton threatening to launch from her skin as she did so.
Her pink-skinned classmate recalled her hand before resting it on her hip, her grin slightly steady as she began to speak.
"So when did this happen?"
The response was immediate as Ochako slammed her palms over her face, causing her body to lose all semblance of gravity.
"I-I dunno what you're talkin' about!"
Mina kissed her teeth as her brow slightly furrowed before turning toward an equally as embarrassed Izuku.
"Spill."
"I-I…I uh…."
His usually vigilant Six Eyes refused to meet those of his interrogator as he desperately searched for an escape.
"Yo, Midoriya!"
Thank you, Minoru.
The Jujutsu Sorcerer hastily made his way toward the boy's desk, a look of relief flooding his features as he witnessed a slightly irate Mina take her seat.
"Yes, Mineta?"
"You were awesome during the sports festival! Think you can teach me some of those submissions?"
The request took the majority of 1-A by surprise as their thoughts of the latest class romance were trumped by Minoru speaking of anything other than women.
All save for Izuku.
The Sorcerer in question smiled before answering his friend's question.
"Of course! With the capture and restraint nature of your quirk, I have faith you'll be a better grappler than myself given enough time."
The praise caused the purple to beam as thoughts of restraining villains with quirk-fueled Jiu-Jitsu flooded his mind.
Silence retook the majority 1-A as they studied the pair, both boys excitedly speaking of the possible applications Minoru's quirk had when paired with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Tsuyu brought a curious finger toward her lips as her head tilted, her large eyes studying the duo.
Before long, her already wide eyes seemed to open even more as she pointed an accusatory finger at Minoru.
"Is it me, or has Mineta gotten taller?"
The class focused their eyes on the boy in question and before long, their expressions matched that of Tsuyu's.
She was right.
Minoru Mineta was actually growing.
Momo was the first to respond to the class's second favorite greenette as her eyes remained focused on the duo before her.
"More likely than not it's Midoriya's regiment that's resulted in Mineta's sudden height gain. The change in diet alongside the spike in exercise probably triggered a long-overdue growth spurt."
A chorus of agreeing hums sounded throughout the classroom before separate conversations began to flood class 1-A.
"Silence."
As though empowered by All Might's quirk itself, the students of 1-A seemingly appeared in their seats, as though they had never left them in the first place.
"Impressive."
A minuscule smile weaseled its way onto Shota's face, his usual hard glare brimming with pride at the sense of urgency he'd managed to instill within his class.
Maybe this job didn't suck.
Refocusing himself, the Pro Hero cleared his throat before addressing his students.
"Today, our Hero Informatics Period will focus on one of the most important decisions you'll make as aspiring pros."
As the words flowed from his lips, the atmosphere in the classroom seemed to triple in weight, instilling upon those within class 1-A the severity of the decision they'd be making today.
Shota allowed the deafening silence to fill the classroom, watching as drops of anxious sweat leaked from his students' pores before finally speaking.
"You'll be creating Hero names."
The once unbearable dread that filled the space around them was removed, instead being replaced by excitement at the prospect of being called by their chosen Hero names.
"This is gonna be so fun! I can't waitttt!"
The energetic pinkette vibrated in her seat as possible Hero names flooded her mind.
The rest of class 1-A mimicked her excitement, eager to take another step toward becoming a fully-fledged Pro Hero.
Shota held his right arm up, silently instructing his class to silence themselves, instructions they hastily followed.
He could get used to this.
"The reason you'll be deciding on your names is due to the nominations by Pro Heroes you've received. These nominations are an expression of interest the aforementioned Pros have in you and your potential careers."
Turning toward the board, Shota pressed a button that revealed the total number of nominations received by the students.
"Holy shit Midoriya."
Eijirou was the first to speak, his mouth agape, allowing his shark-like teeth a chance to be viewed clearly.
When reviewing the total number of nominations, his reaction was completely warranted.
Izuku Miroriya - 16,347
Shoto Todoroki - 4,123
Katsuki Bakugo - 3,556
Fumikage Tokoyami - 360
Tenya Iida - 301
Denki Kaminari - 272
Momo Yaoyorozu - 108
Eijirou Kirishima - 68
Ochako Uraraka - 20
Hanta Sero - 14
"The number of nominations is usually more spread out than it is this year, however, due to Midoriya's overwhelming display during the Sports Festival, most Pros have their eyes on him."
1-A turned toward the Sorcerer who tried his hardest to sink into his desk, Six Eyes desperately avoiding contact with his classmates.
"These nominations are for what is known as Field Training. You'll be able to intern with a Pro and gain on-the-job experience we at UA simply can't teach."
The class began to speak amongst themselves, theorizing on the specifics of the Internship Program and, for those who received them, possible Heroes interested in them.
Before long, Tsuyu raised her hand before speaking.
"What about the people who didn't receive offers, are we ineligible for the Internship Program?"
Shota shook his head before speaking.
"No. For those without offers, we have a list of Pros accepting anyone that you may pick from. This allows all of you to receive workplace experience, more so than you already have when considering the USJ."
"Absolutely not!"
The pinkette walked away from the podium, a look of dejection marring her face.
Midnight turned toward the rest of 1-A, her ever-present smirk still painting her face, before addressing the class, or rather, two students within the class.
"Midorya, Iida! I gave you 15 minutes to come up with a name! Now get up here and tell us what you've picked!"
A stern glare punctuated her sentence causing the two teens in question to flinch.
The class remained still for a few moments before finally, Izuku stood before heading to the podium and turning his board.
The Honored Hero: Deku
A round of murmurs flooded the classroom as a genuine smile weaseled its way onto Midnight's face.
"Very creative, I like it! Any backstory behind it if you don't mind me asking?"
Izuku offered a nod before turning to the classroom and speaking, his voice brimming with confidence.
"Satoru Gojo was a man whom my brother and I respected immensely. His strength led to him being known as The Honored One and so as a way to pay respect to him and as a way to hold myself to a certain standard, I decided to use The Honored Hero in my Hero name."
He took a short breath before turning toward Ochako, a gentle smile overtaking his face.
"As for the later half, it was initially a name I despised from someone I'm not too fond of. But then, someone I care about deeply turned it into a term of endearment, and for that I am truly thankful for."
By the end of his explanation, Midnight and the majority of 1-A had tears threatening to fall from their eyes as they internalized the meaning of the boy's name.
Ochako, meanwhile, desperately fought off her blush as she internalized the tender smile her boyfriend had given her, his expression filled with nothing but love.
"So who're ya choosin'?"
A sense of comfort washed over the Sorcerer as he felt his girlfriend's chin rest on his shoulder.
Rummaging through the stacks of offers, he filed away some Pros for future contemplation before leaning into his girlfriend, her hands snaking around the Sorcerer's body.
"No idea to be honest. I do know that I want to work on my physical conditioning so I'm not totally defenseless when I run out of Cursed Techniques, but so far I haven't found any Hero that sticks out to me."
The brunette gave a hum before burying her face into his tri-colored locks, happy to finally be alone with her boyfriend.
"YOUNG MIDORIYA!"
Never mind.
The duo turned toward the Pro Hero, shock and confusion filling their faces as the man motioned toward the greenette.
Turning his head to meet his girlfriend, Izuku silently asked if it was ok to leave to which the brunette nodded before stepping back, allowing the Sorcerer to stand.
Walking toward the Hero, Izuku shifted his gaze back to Ochako one last time before speaking.
"I'll be back in a few minutes, ok?"
The brunette smiled before nodding her head.
"Ok."
"Have you picked an offer yet?"
A shake of the head from the greenette resulted in a deep sigh of relief from All Might.
Retrieving a slip from his suit pocket, the blonde handed it to the teen in front of him before speaking once more.
"An old teacher of mine has taken an interest in you, he basically taught me everything I know. If you'd like then y-"
"I'm alright."
The cutoff caught All Might off guard, causing the man to sputter.
Izuku, however, was slightly irate.
Reaining his composure, the blonde stood tall before speaking once more, a twinge of desperation marring his features.
"I-If you don't mind me asking, is there a reason as to why you're refusing? I mean, you don't even know who it is yet."
Exhaling, the Sorcerer leaned against the wall, his vibrant Six Eyes locking with All Might's own electric blues.
"You're incredibly strong All Might, and I wish I had even a fraction of that strength, but there's a good chance that strength is because of your quirk, and even if it wasn't, our fighting styles don't match up in the slightest."
All Might gained a look of understanding, letting a small hum ring out before speaking.
"I see."
Izuku nodded before continuing on with his reasoning.
"If the man who requested me truly taught you what you know then I'd be better off finding a Hero who can give me that physical conditioning while having a fighting style similar to mine."
The look of anxiousness all but melted from the man's face as his trademark smile flooded the hallway.
"I CAN'T ARGUE WITH THAT REASONING YOUNG MIDORIYA! I SINCERELY HOPE YOU FIND THE HERO YOU'RE LOOKING FOR!"
"Thank you, All Might."
The aforementioned blonde turned on his heel, ready to walk away, but stopped, only his eyes turning toward the boy.
"Oh, young Midoriya?"
"Yes?"
"I was wrong in my initial assessment, I KNOW you'll become a great Hero."
"Deku!"
The moment he stepped back into the classroom, his brunette slammed herself into him, ensnaring his body with her lithe arms, her body vibrating excitedly.
Per routine, Izuku ran his fingers along her back, allowing her scent to flood his nostrils, before speaking.
"Is everything alright?"
Upon speaking, she hastily pulled away from the boy before shoving a slip of paper in his face.
And as soon as he read it, Izuku nearly lost his mind.
A wide smile sprung to life as Ochako began explaining how she'd come across this specific offer within the literal thousands he'd received.
"When you left I started thinkin about heroes that were fightin based, but then I remembered you fight a specific way so I narrowed it down to Pros who specialize in Taekwondo and she popped up."
Six Eyes focused on the offer contained between the brunette's lithe fingers, an excited grin threatening to split his face as he reread the name over and over.
The Rabbit Hero: Miruko
As soon as her explanation ceased, the Jujutsu Sorcerer eagerly slammed his lips against hers before raising her up in a tight hug.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
He punctuated his string of gratitude by spinning around with the brunette, soliciting a giggle from the girl.
He eventually set her down and gingerly grabbed the internship, signing it and setting it down on their homeroom teacher's desk.
He couldn't wait for internships to start.
"Thank you so much!"
The Sorcerer offered the dreadhead a deep bow of gratitude not dissimilar to Tenya, a case labeled '18' trapped between his fingers.
Mei waved the boy's thanks off as her usual look of excitement retook her features.
"Sure sure. Anyway, I took the liberty of weaving some heat and impact-resistant fabric into the jacket itself just in cas. Oh! I also replaced the bronze buttons with dark green ones and added a matching hood just in case you're working in a particularly chilly environment."
Izuku rose from his bow, a wide smile overtaking his features as he spoke.
"I can't thank you enough for what you've done for me up till now Mei. You truly are a miracle worker."
"Sure!"
Turning about face, Izuku took a step toward the exit before Mei's voice halted him.
"Wait!"
She tossed him a shirt which he just barely caught.
A look of confusion befell the Sorcerer's face as he stared at the shirt she'd given him.
Noticing said confusion, Mei spoke, clarifying what exactly she'd given him.
"It's a compression shirt weaved with Kevlar, while not fully bulletproof it'll stop almost all blades. Your jacket is substantially tougher so the shirt is mainly a last line of defense slash something you wear when it's too hot to fight in a jacket."
Nodding his head, Izuku popped the garment in his case before heading outside the development studio.
Eager to test his new suit.
"Iida."
The bluenette turned toward the Jujutsushi, his usual robotic expression withholding a twinge of anxiousness.
"Yes, Midoriya?"
Izuku's own expression was one of worry as his Six Eyes pierced into Tenya's soul.
"If you need someone to talk to, Ochako and I are here."
The brunette offered her agreement via a nod, her chocolate brown eyes holding an equal amount of concern as her boyfriend.
Tenya forced a smile onto his face before speaking, eager to quell any concern pointed toward him.
"I know. If anything comes up, I'll let you know."
Punctuating his sentence with a bow, Tenya turned and boarded his train to Hosu, ready to begin his internship.
Despite his words, however, Izuku couldn't help but feel as though the boy was lying.
"Top ten Hero money is no joke."
Izuku stood before the colossal building stamped with the crescent moon-esque logo of The Rabbit Hero, excitement etched into his very being.
"I can't believe I actually get to intern with her!"
The Sorcerer began to vibrate excitedly in a manner not dissimilar to Mina as he began to walk inside the building.
The moment he stepped through the door, however, his excitement was overtaken by shock as a strong, lithe arm plucked him from his stride, dragging him alongside the owner.
Turning his head toward the aforementioned owner, Izuku's excitement quickly resurfaced as the woman he'd come to see in the first place was the one dragging him through the halls.
Miruko turned her fierce red eyes toward the Sorcerer, her usual grin displayed upon her face.
"Welcome to my agency, you'll be staying in a guest room during your internship so we can maximize the amount of training I can pound through that noggin."
After the brief introduction, she continued dragging him toward who knows where, her grin growing wider as they approached it.
After a few moments, Izuku broke the silence, eager to know where exactly they were headed within the Agency Building.
"Are we going somewhere training related Ms. Miruko?"
Her fierce eyes immediately locked onto his observant ones as a slight scowl settled on her face.
"Miruko is fine, I'm not that much older than you, and yes, we're heading to the gym so I can get a good idea of what you're made of."
The Sorcerer nodded, his mind drumming up countless possibilities as to what the first day of training would entail.
Pain.
It entailed pain.
As soon as they had entered the Agency's large training facility, she'd dropped the boy and immediately lashed out with a rear leg round that Izuku narrowly avoided.
It had been downhill from there.
Currently, Izuku was on the defensive, raising his left arm to block the right hook that threatened to take his head off.
As though reading his mind, Miruko raised her left leg, ensnaring the boy's left arm before yanking it down.
Faster than his body could react, Miruko jumped off her right leg, using the momentum to slam her knee into the Sorcerer's temple, bringing them both to the ground.
In an attempt to bring the odds in his favor, Izuku quickly raised his legs, wrapping them around the Rabbit Heroes throat and squeezing.
"Submissions like these aren't found in Renewal Taekwondo so it's likely she has little to no idea on how to properly break them."
Izuku was sound in his assessment as for a brief moment, Miruko seemed to be struggling to break from his submission attempt. However, the Sorcerer neglected to factor in something insurmountably important.
Miruko was a Pro Hero.
Meaning she had strength far beyond those who he was used to submitting.
Sliding her hands around the boy's hips, the albino-haired woman rose to her feet, taking the Sorcerer with her.
"Shit."
"Shit indeed."
Izuku had less than a second to properly brace himself as the Pro Hero slammed him to the ground, knocking the breath from his lungs.
The world seemed to spin as the Jujutsushi struggled to his feet, his once strong stance wobbly.
Miruko fell into her own stance before rushing the boy, throwing a feint left hook that Izuku ignored, before following with a right-spinning hook kick that the Jujutsushi tried his hardest to slip under.
However, although his eyes could see the attack clearly,
His body was nowhere near fast enough.
The kick slammed into his right temple, sending the boy flying across the training grounds.
Once the dust settled, Miruko was surprised to find a standing Izuku, his stance weaker than before yet his face more determined than ever.
"I gotta give it to him, kid's a lot tougher than I thought he'd be."
Chuckling to herself, the Rabbit Hero re-entered her stance, before rushing in once more, eager to test the boy's skills even further.
Once she'd closed the distance, Miruko raised her lead left leg before pivoting on her right, dropping her left leg in a way such that her shin would make contact with the Sorcerer's skull.
Had he not managed to wrap his arms around her torso at the very last second.
"He's getting better."
She couldn't help her widening grin as she felt his strong arms raise her higher and higher, before suplexing her toward the ground.
That wasn't all, however.
As she fell, Miruko felt the boy's arms leave her torso and instead ensnare her arm.
Turning toward her opponent, her eyes, as well as her already large grin, widened as she witnessed what her student was attempting.
After grabbing her arm mid-air, Izuku jumped and raised his legs, shooting them out in front of him and atop Miruko's body ensuring that it'd be tough to move once they landed.
"Did he just put me in an armbar, MID-AIR?! This kid is fucking nuts!"
Once the two fell, Miruko fully expected to slam the boy off of her once more. However, this time she didn't have to.
Mainly because Izuku Midoriya was fully unconscious by the time they landed.
"I'm praying he doesn't get CTE from this."
"So! What did you do wrong during that fight?"
The two sat cross-legged in the training facility, Miruko speaking with a pointer and no board while Izuku eagerly scribbled down notes.
Raising his pencil to his lips, Izuku pursed them as a thoughtful expression cemented itself upon his features.
Eventually, he spoke, his tone slightly anxious in fear of being incorrect.
"I-If I had to guess then I'd say my physical strength. I managed to catch you in a triangle but it was pointless because I wasn't strong enough to actually submit you with it. Same with my armbar, even if I was unconscious at the end"
A look of shock befell the Pro Hero causing her to almost drop her pointer.
Clearing her throat, Miruko spoke once more, hiding the aforementioned shock as best she could.
"Correct! However, you're missing something equally, if not more important!"
A mix of confusion and anxiety befell the Sorcerer as his mind poured over what he may be missing.
"What exactly is that something?"
Miruko beamed.
"Reaction time! I did a little research on your quirk and those Six Eyes of yours allow you to see basically anything. It's not a stretch to say that you were able to see my attacks clear as day. However, your body and mind weren't able to convert that information into action fast enough. Make sense?"
Izuku's jaw was on the floor as he hurriedly contemplated her revelation.
"She's absolutely right! Although I do engage in close combat, it's usually with support from my Shikigami or, at the very least, a plan on how to gain the upper hand via exploiting weaknesses. This means I rarely have to rely on reaction alone as I've already got a plan in mind, unlike someone such as Katsuki who relies on his instincts to guide him to victory. I can easily see Miruko's attacks but consistently reacting to them is where I draw issues from. Catching her in a submission did little more than make her annoyed so if I can curb my reaction time and rely on that in tandem with my eyes I can, at the very least, land a few clean blows on her. This also allows me to be a more flexible fighter since I'd be able to fight without relying on my Shikigami and Limitless as heavily. It's best I go all in on this for the week rather than training Construction as I can always ask Momo for help during the school year; I doubt I'll get another chance to improve my reaction time with Miruko of all people so I'd be better off focusing on what I know she can help me improve upon in the shortest amount of time."
"Holy shit kid."
Six Eyes snapped upward as frantic blues locked with shocked reds, both owners wearing the accompanying expression.
Izuku slammed his hand over his mouth before turning away from his mentor, a flush as red as the woman's eyes overtaking him.
Miruko, on the other hand, was shocked. Not only had he analyzed what she thought to be a vague idea, but he established a line of reasoning as well as a crude plan of action in just a few seconds.
Just what had she decided to mentor?
Shaking her snow-topped hair, Miruko shot to her feet, her trademark grin staining her face as she spoke.
"I'll take that as a yes! Now c'mon, we've got some training to continue!"
"Y-Yes, Miruko!"
"Let's call it a night."
As soon as the words registered, Izuku collapsed, his school uniform in tatters as he struggled to breathe.
Miruko, on the other hand, barely broke a sweat, her costume only stained with blood.
His blood.
Throughout their hours of training, Izuku had managed to graze her eyelash once.
And that was only because she was too busy teasing him.
"Everything. Hurts."
Even speaking the sentence had hurt as he desperately fought to capture his breath.
"That just means you're actually improving. You're already way better than you were when we started."
The Rabbit Hero crouched down in front of Izuku, inadvertently allowing him a view of her inner thighs which caused the boy to blush before turning away.
Reaching down, Miruko grabbed the Jujutsushi before slinging him over the shoulder.
"You did well today, Izuku, even though I put you through it today. Bet you wish there was a Cursed Technique that buffed your reaction time."
Izuku chuckled, a light dusting of red kissing his cheeks as he allowed himself to be carried to bed.
"I'll make sure to ask my brother before I go to bed."
jason127heart: Mamadoriya being a lil Wayne fan was something I was not expecting at the end there. But pretty funny
Ant: I like giving Inko little bits of personality here and there IE being a rap fan. Her likes, dislikes, etc ain't really explored in the canon material.
Naruto30: If sukuna is still alive here, I wanna see how he'll react alongside uraume and AFO seeing all the cursed techniques. Also did all Might pass on OFA?
Can Izuku teach others to use cursed techniques?
Also are u on Ao3? If so, what's your id?
Excellent story. Waiting for your next update
Ant: Sukuna WILL be a factor in this story toward the endish point but probably not in the way a lot of people think.
All Might hasn't passed on OFA and it will play a bit of a role regarding Izuku but I will say this, Izuku Midoriya will NOT be receiving One For All.
Again, there will be a role very late in the story in which Izuku and OFA interact but it's probably not in the way you think and he will not and I mean will NOT become the next inheritor of OFA.
Izuku can't teach people Cursed Techniques because the ones he wields are engraved into his very soul by the original sorcerers who used them.
I have an Ao3 acc BUUUTT I'm ngl I forgot it cuz I locked in w FF.
Anonymous4.O: Ochako having a thing for scars? Izuku better watch out when Dabi makes an appearence then, haha
Ant: Nah he won't. Dabi is a pretty extreme version of her like for scars.
For example, liking tall guys/girls doesn't mean you like the big friendly giant or any 20m tall person. It's an extreme version ah ya preference yfm?
helrio uzugaku: you know, been ininking about some or ine revIews from an earlier chapter and I can't help but agree with some of them.
a past reviewer brought up all might and mentioned he really forgot that nighteye had a visionary quirk and became not only a pro but also his own sidekick. you as the writer responded that you would have told izuku the same given izuku's mental state at the time he asked if he could be a hero. your whole reason is based on izuku's mental state.
but All Might only mentioned in one breath before the question was even asked that izuku needed to talk to someone because he tried to end his own life. but after the question? no such reasoning is mentioned. yeah he tried to end his life so he definitely needs help that goes without saying.
but the question he asked himself was based fully and completely on his quirk, not his mental state. because the question itself wasn't described in full during that sequence we can only guess how he worded it which leaves it open to interpretation how we perceive All Mights response and his reasoning behind it.
this is constructive criticism. so next time think about how we as readers could interpret that sequence of events when you write it and ask yourself, do I want the readers to decide for themselves how to take this sequence or do I want to put in a bit more effort to describe the conversation to show them how "" view the conversation.
what you say in response to review doesn't match up with what you wrote in text so is it a surprise readers misinterpret?
another thing, All Might's recording mentioned how UA reached out to Izuku's Therapist to inquire his mental stability. I find it unlikely that a school like UA hadn't asked how they could further help in his mental recovery. if this question was asked I would
I can imagine one argument is "sometimes heroes have to work with people they don't like and still get the job done regardless. so izuku has to learn to work with his bully and his bully vice versa." yeah, I can see that... if it was a simple case of dislike, even hate. but the presence of one has a clear negative impact on the other.
just doesn't add up.
Ant: So I real life fw the review heavy. I completely agree that I often neglect to add pretty important details which is what leads to confused reviews and that's something I want to improve upon which is why I'm drafting outlines.
The reason most of the early interactions feel so bland and rushed is because they were.
I don't mean to offend any readers cuz I fw all y'all, I consider yall my twins fr BUT, the fact of the matter is I write WHAT I like to write WHEN I like to write it. This is why I rush through those early arcs, because they didn't really interest me so once I hit 2k words I wrapped it up and published it.
This is also why arcs like the Sports Festival and Internship arcs feel longer (because they are) than say USJ. I personally dislike the USJ arc so once I hit a good 2-3k words I wrapped it up so I can get to what I WANTED to write.
I won't sit and lie and act like I'm gonna change that because I'm not. What I WILL do is make sure I try and be consistent as possible for those 2-3k words so y'all won't feel so confused.
Now while this is probably my favorite review so far, I DO disagree with you on one thing and that's UA's involvement with Izuku's therapy
First and foremost, UA is a school for HEROES by HEROES. They specialize in saving lives in a physical manner, not an emotional one.
Realistically, no one save for Hound Dog would even begin to know how to handle Izuku's mental issues and even with Hound Dog the man is a HERO first and foremost, he can't be there for the almost daily sessions Izuku has with his doctor.
And there's the second thing, Izuku is already receiving treatment by a professional who's specially trained to deal with teens like Izuku and has been doing so all day every day for a majority of his life.
The most they could do to "further" his mental recovery would be to book him with Hound Dog which would mean taking him away from a therapist he's already built a strong bond with so he can be with a Hero who he's never even met before.
Realistically, Nezu would've seen the flag that Izuku is suffering from mental issues, seen that he's already receiving treatment by a professional, seen he's already making large strides in getting better before saying
"Oh, he's already got a doctor, that's worked itself out then."
Like I said your review was amazing and really showed that you care for the betterment of this fic, but that last point is just sumn I disagree with entirely, word is bond.
By now yah now the drill so say it w me,
WORD IS BOOONNNDDDDD!
