Sitting alone in his apartment, looking down at the strange combination of music box and locket that seemed to be the most tangible connection he had to the Moon Princess aside from the faded memories that he could recall from the dreams he'd had since the accident, Mamoru found himself thinking about the Rainbow Crystals again. The fact that the Sailor Senshi had been able to collect all seven of them even in spite of being hunted down by the Dark Kingdom.

At least, when they weren't trying to hunt down Trevor-kohai for the energy he possessed.

Closing the locket back up again, Mamoru tucked it back into the drawer where he'd kept it ever since he'd found it after one of the many dreams he'd had about the Moon Princess, Mamoru turned to leave for the day. Still, even as he did, Mamoru found that thoughts of the seven Rainbow Crystals wouldn't leave him. He still wondered how all of them related to the Silver Crystal that the Moon Princess had asked him to find so that he could save her.

He also wondered, more and more often lately, if the Dark Kingdom were the ones who had been threatening her.

With not a single one of the seven Rainbow Crystals in their possession, he and Zoisite had been given the assignment of seeking out whatever location that the Sailor Guardians had chosen to keep their collected Rainbow Crystals. To find the Rainbow Crystals, defeat the Sailor Guardians, and to capture that schoolboy who had been evading the Dark Kingdom for so long. There was just the matter of how they would manage such a thing.

There was also the matter of those two allies of the Sailor Guardians – one of whom was actually the schoolboy himself – who had acted to save the four of them so many times. Queen Beryl wished to have him disposed of, and the schoolboy brought back to the Dark Kingdom to have whatever energies he possessed drained for their Great Leader. Still, there was some merit to Zoisite's idea to bring the schoolboy in as a servant of the Dark Kingdom.

As he and Zoisite had watched the unfolding battles, Kunzite had found himself considering just how he and Zoisite would draw Tuxedo Kamen and the schoolboy into the trap that they were slowly constructing. It was Zoisite who had the idea of disguising himself as Sailor Moon in order to lure the pair of them out. The idea had merit, and so Kunzite integrated the idea into the plan that he had been constructing.

Still, the fact that Queen Beryl had declared this to be the last chance that Zoisite would be given hung over the plan, even as Kunzite continued to construct the plan that the pair of them would use to draw out Tuxedo Kamen and the schoolboy.

When he and Usagi had made their way to Rei-san's shrine, Trevor couldn't help but wonder at the determined expression on his younger sister's face. Ever since the pair of them had woke up together, Usagi had had a definite air of planning something. And now, with the pair of them steadily making their way across the warded grounds that Rei-san and her grandfather had set up – first to keep the Dark Kingdom from finding Nephrite-san and Jadeite-san after they had escaped, and then to shield the Rainbow Crystals themselves – Trevor found himself curious to see just what Usagi was going to do.

Catching sight of Mamoru-sempai, making his own way across the grounds of Rei-san's temple, Trevor called out to draw his attention.

"Are you here for the Rainbow Crystals, Mamoru-sempai?" he asked, as the three of them all joined up and continued on their way into the out of the way shrine building where Nephrite-san and Jadeite-san were staying.

"Yeah," his upperclassman said, nodding even as he seemed to struggle for a moment with keeping his eyes on Trevor's face as the pair of them spoke. "I want to know… I want to see how we can use those Rainbow Crystals we've all collected will lead us to the Silver Crystal."

"You've still been having those dreams about the Moon Princess, Mamoru-sempai?"

"I still have," Mamoru-sempai confirmed, as the three of them made their way into the most heavily-warded part of the building.

The one that shielded the seven Rainbow Crystals from being found by the Dark Kingdom.

"All right," Usagi said, making a show of cracking her knuckles as the three of them arrayed themselves around the table that held the seven Rainbow Crystals that he, Mamoru-sempai, and the Sailor Senshi had all collected together. "Let's see if we can do something with these Rainbow Crystals."

Before either he or Mamoru-sempai could do more than wonder just what it was that Usagi was thinking, his younger sister gathered up the seven Rainbow Crystals and started… stacking them. Usagi set out four of them with their bottom halves up, and then stacked the last three right side up on top of them.

When nothing happened after a few, long moments of staring at the pile of crystals, Usagi started to leave with the suggestion that she was going to fetch some tape.

"Hold on, Bun-head," Mamoru-sempai said, grabbing Usagi's left arm, just as she was about to step away from the table where the three of them had been standing.

"I haven't heard you giving anyone any ideas, Mamoru-baka," Usagi said, sounding about as unimpressed as he'd ever heard from his younger sister.

"Having no ideas is better than having dumb ideas, Bun-head," Mamoru-sempai said, rolling his eyes.

Before he could do much more than try to get the both of them to calm down so that they could all work together to find a solution to using the Rainbow Crystals to find the Silver Crystal, the sound of other people making their way into the room where he, Usagi, and Mamoru-sempai were all standing drew his attention.

"Oh, you're all here," Mako-san said, looking at the pair of them with enough confusion that Trevor found himself wondering just what it was that she had seen. "Have any of you seen the news?"

"No, Mako-san," he said, since Mamoru-san and Usagi seemed to be more interested in the Rainbow Crystals than in Mako-san now that they knew that she wasn't in any danger. "Usagi took us right over here, and then Mamoru-sempai met up with us."

"So, you wouldn't know about any of it," Luna-sensei said, making her own way in behind where Mako-san had been standing.

"Wouldn't know about what, Luna-sensei?" he asked, as Usagi and Mamoru-sempai stopped to make their way over to where he was standing.

"There's someone dressing up as you, Usagi-chan," Luna-sensei said, a serious look on her furry face.

"What, you mean I have a fan?" Usagi asked, before a fretting Luna-sensei could say another word.

"I mean to say that someone has been impersonating you, and it's your duty to make sure that she doesn't get hurt doing it."

"Yeah," Trevor said, worrying for the girl who might very well have gotten in over her head doing something she might have thought was only a game. "She might not know how dangerous what she's doing could be."

"Yeah," Usagi said, nodding. "Where did you last see her, Luna-sensei?"

As Luna-sensei told Usagi-chan and Trevor-kohai where to find the alleged fan who was dressing up as Sailor Moon, Mamoru found himself following the pair of them as they transformed. Continuing, the three of them made long, striding leaps across the city, following the lead that Luna-sensei had given them. Following in the footsteps of that girl who sounded like she might have gotten in over her head, caught up in pretending to be someone she seemed to look up to.

Mamoru thought it was something Usagi herself might have done, if she hadn't ended up being the very one that this unknown girl was attempting to emulate; he wasn't about to mention it, of course, both since the three of them had more important things to think about, and because there was entirely too much of a chance that he would end up saying entirely the wrong thing if he tried to talk about it.

As the three of them continued on their way, Mamoru couldn't help but notice the way that the sky all around them was starting to become overcast, pressing down on them as though it could start raining at any moment.

"It looks like we might have to find somewhere to sit out this storm, if we don't find that girl soon," he said, hearing the rumbles of distant thunder.

"Yeah, we might," Trevor-kohai said, sounding worried in that way he usually did when there was a chance of combat breaking out.

The three of them continued onward, searching for the girl who had been impersonating Sailor Moon, Mamoru glanced down at the ground, catching sight of the rest of the Sailor Senshi as they made their own way through the construction site that he, Trevor-kohai, and Usagi-chan had been making their own way across. Pausing for a moment to look down, Mamoru huffed a soft laugh as he continued on his way. Still, the fact that he couldn't see anyone who matched the description of the girl that Luna-sensei had given them didn't bode well for their chances of finding her before the storm began.

A sudden scream echoing through the construction site drew their attention, and Mamoru glanced back at Usagi-chan and Trevor-kohai only just long enough to make sure that the both of them were still following him when he dashed off in pursuit of whoever it was that had just screamed.

As thunder rumbled over their heads, Trevor found himself wondering all over again just what would have driven someone to do something so dangerous as trying to impersonate Sailor Moon. He didn't know if she had any of the kind of powers that he did, or if she had any way to protect herself, or even to heal herself if something did happen to her. But, when Mamoru-sempai held out an arm to stop the three of them, Trevor looked up to see the Sailor Moon impersonator actually hanging by her wrists from the rope of a nearby crane.

There was also someone dressed in a uniform that looked enough like the ones he'd seen on Nephrite-san and Jadeite-san wore that he knew even without the descriptions they'd given all of them earlier that he was looking at Kunzite.

"Come on, let's get her down from there," Usagi said, putting her right hand on his left shoulder.

"Right," he said, nodding.

"I'll distract Kunzite," Mamoru-sempai said, just as Kunzite turned his attention to the three of them.

They had only enough time to cut the girl dressed as Sailor Moon down from the crane where she'd been strung up, before Kunzite leaped at them. Mamoru-sempai intercepted him quickly, and Trevor called his thanks even as he and Usagi quickly carried the girl dressed as a purple version of Sailor Moon – something Trevor found himself wondering about, and something he made a mental note to ask her about when she woke up – away from the battle that Trevor could hear beginning behind them.

He hoped that Mamoru-sempai would be all right, that the other Sailor Senshi would find him in time to help.

However, for the moment, Trevor knew that he and Usagi were the only ones who had any kind of chance at saving the girl before she got in even farther over her head. The sounds of fighting from behind them made Trevor tense briefly, before he forced himself to relax again. The sound of faint screaming coming from behind him nearly drove Trevor to stop in his tracks, but he forced himself to keep running, trying to outpace whatever kind of battle was going on behind them.

"I think we might be far enough away to be safe," Usagi said, carefully not using his name, since there was someone else who didn't know who either of them were close enough to overhear everything that they were saying.

Before he – or even the girl they'd rescued – could say even a single word in response, a massive thunderbolt that didn't look a thing like one of Mako-san's attacks blew him and Usagi off their feet. Finding himself forced away from his younger sister, Trevor braced himself as he shifted to land on his feet again.

"I'm sorry," he said, turning to the girl resting in his arms; the girl who seemed to be waking up. "Was that scary for you?"

Biting back a grin at the sight of the schoolboy sitting in front of him, those soft, naïve brown eyes staring into his own almost as though he was offering himself to the Dark Kingdom, Zoisite leaned in close to the schoolboy for a long moment. Kunzite-sama, I'll think of you while I take care of this, Zoisite resolved himself, leaning in to press his lips against the schoolboy's own soft, plush lips. The schoolboy tensed, and Zoisite reached up to stroke the schoolboy's soft, delicate cheeks.

Working the other talisman that Kunzite-sama had given him – a different one than what he had used to extract Rainbow Crystals and turn that one human into a youma – out from under his tongue, Zoisite nudged the schoolboy's mouth open with his own. Firmly curling his hands around the back of the schoolboy's neck to restrain him, Zoisite forced his second talisman into the schoolboy's mouth, smiling against the child's lips as the schoolboy lost consciousness and obligingly fell into his arms.

"It's so good to see you again, schoolboy."

When she'd managed to get back on her feet, Usagi quickly hurried off to help Trevor-nii and the Sailor Moon cosplay girl they'd come here to save with Mamoru-baka in the first place. But, the only person she managed to find was Zoisite. Zoisite, with Trevor-nii unconscious in his arms; Zoisite, standing over the top hat and mask that Trevor-nii had been wearing to disguise himself from anyone who didn't already know who any of them were.

"Let him go, Zoisite!" Usagi demanded, gathering her composure at seeing her older brother in trouble all over again.

Zoisite laughed. "Oh, you really do care about him. Then, you had better leave, before something happens to hi-"

Just as Zoisite had been aiming what looked like a sharpened piece of crystal at Trevor-nii's throat, something that looked a lot like one of the attacks that her fellow Sailor Senshi used sliced across his right wrist and made him leap backwards, dropping both the crystal he was holding and Trevor-nii's unconscious body. Leaping forward to catch her older brother, even as whatever new maybe-Senshi leaped forward to drive Zoisite off, Usagi caught her breath as she laid Trevor-nii out on the ground.

He was still unconscious, but Usagi had learned really well how to wake him up after everything that had happened, so she carefully put her hands just over his heart and concentrated on the energy she could always feel when she was close to her older brother. But, even as Usagi saw the golden glow of Trevor-nii's energy, her older brother didn't wake up.

The sound of someone else coming to stand beside her didn't managed to distract Usagi from her worry about what was happening to Trevor-nii.

"Sailor Moon- is something wrong?"

Looking back, as what did seem to be another Sailor Senshi crouched down next to her, Usagi sighed.

"Something's wrong," she said, settling back on her own heels. "I can usually wake him up, by concentrating on the energy inside him. But nothing seems to be working right now."

"Here, let me help," the other Sailor Senshi said, reaching out to lay her own hands over the top of Usagi's.

The golden glow around Trevor-nii grew brighter, but the only thing that seemed to be happening was that Trevor-nii looked like he was choking on something. The Sailor Senshi who had been trying to help her reached down to cradle Trevor-nii's head, turning him over so that he could… Spit out some kind of glowing crystal that had been shoved into his mouth.

After that, Trevor-nii did take a deep breath and start waking up, though he still looked confused about everything that was going on.

"Come on," the other Sailor Senshi – this one wearing an orange skirt, where Rei-chan, Ami-chan, and Mako-chan had worn red, blue, and green skirts – said, pulling Usagi's arm as Usagi herself helped Trevor-nii back to his feet. "The rest of your friends are in trouble, and we need to go help them."

"Right," she said, knowing that she could ask the other Sailor Senshi her name and where she'd come from after everything had gone back to normal.

At least, as normal as things could be, when the Dark Kingdom was hunting for the Rainbow Crystals that she and the rest of the Sailor Senshi had recovered.

As she and Trevor-nii hurried to keep up with the Sailor Senshi in the orange skirt, Usagi started to hear the sounds of fighting coming from up ahead of them. She and Trevor-nii shared a determined look, just before the three of them all made it to the open area where the rest of the Sailor Senshi and Mamoru-baka were fighting against Zoisite and Kunzite. She introduced herself to them as Sailor Venus, and the three of them attacked together.

Sailor Venus attacked with her Crescent Beam, and together the three of them managed to drive Kunzite and Zoisite off again.

After Kunzite and Zoisite had been driven off, they ended up meeting a white cat who could talk, just like Luna-sensei. And, without the worry for Trevor-nii or the battle against Kunzite and Zoisite to distract her, Usagi couldn't help but notice how… familiar Sailor Venus looked.

"You look a lot like Sailor V," she said, as the white cat went over to talk with Luna-sensei.

"That's what people called me when I was in England," Sailor Venus said, smiling slightly, as Usagi and the other Sailor Senshi all gathered around her.

"It's good to have the five Senshi and the two cats back together again," the white cat – who sounded like a boy cat, in the same way that Luna-sensei sounded like a girl – said, sounding like he would have been smiling if he didn't have a cat's face. "Still, I wasn't quite expecting your two allies. It's good to know that you're all doing so well, though."

"We should probably discus this somewhere safer," Mamoru-baka said, looking around even as he came over to stand with the rest of them.

"Yeah, we might have driven Kunzite and Zoisite off, but there's no telling when they could come back," Trevor-nii said, looking around with the same, worried expression that Mamoru-baka had been wearing.

In the end, everyone agreed, and the seven of them all went back to Rei-chan's temple to get to know each other better. Usagi, for her part, had more than a few questions for Sailor Venus…
