The underworld

Percy, getting off the ferry, thanks Charon and hands him a bag of drachma." no payment necessary just bring her back she deserves it." He replies with a wink, which is really creepy for a skeleton, before sailing off. Percy now alone starts winding his way through the underworld. As he approaches the security gates he gets stopped by his old math teacher ms. dodds. "Come with me sweety. Hades would like a word" she says picking him up by the shoulders and flying off.

Frustrated percy replies "You know you could have asked right? I have my means of transportation like vapor traveling."

"I know I just wanted to humiliate you for once rather than the other way around" ms dodds says far to excitedly for Percy's liking.

As they cross over the fields lf asphodel the air starts getting colder and more moist like the sadness that fills percy is filling cavernous expanse of the underworld. Once they reach the castle steps ms. Dodds puts percy down gently saying "For what its worth im sorry about your family i may not like you but you have mine and my sisters respect as well as Hades'." And flys off without another word. Confused percy climbs the steps dread filling him ever step of the way. Remembering the fist time he came here he lets a tear slide down his cheek. As He reaches the doors to the throne room he hears, or rather senses, voices and far more people than should be in the room. As he enters though its just hades and Thanatos and he relizes that hades invite an audience. "Lord hades i assume you know why I'm here?" percy asks respectfully but in a tone that says either you give me what i want willingly or i take it forcefully.

"I do nephew and you may take two so long as you best both me and Thanatos here in combat. But before we begin I was wondering who you plan to replace Zeus as you know someone need to rule. Do you plan to take his place."Hades reply's.

Percy, knowing that Hades is really asking why take olympus down insted of being diplomatic, becomes furious shouting "Really Hades i thiught you of all people would understand they don't deserve their thrones all the gods do is sit up there an their thrones and bicker like children they cast you out cause your different more mature. My father killed the love of my life and best friend because I didn't want to be a god. All I'veever wanted is to be left alone live my life with annabeth grow old together maybe have kids of our own some day. But petty differences destroyed that chance. I dont want to be king i dont want a throne i dont want to be like them but now i am. Now they'll see just how powerful I really am." As he says that he reaches out to where he felt the gods in the corner of the room and shatters hades spell holding them in place "you want a fight fine but they are not welcome they have interfered with my life to many time to be allowed to witness my reunion with annabeth."

As Percy say this Hedaes looks over at the other gods gathered and notices that some are in more pain than other. It appears that Athena, Artemis, Apollo, and Hermes are not even bound and Hera appears to have Ichor being pulled to the surface of her skin and is struggling to breathe.

"percy please let us go" croakes the choking queen of the gods.

"Very well you may return to Olympus" percy snarls "but cross me again and i wont be so kind"he flickes his wrist and everyone returns with the exption of Athena, Artemis, Apollo, and Hermes. "Sorry about that guy had to be done ill apologize to the others later." Percy says apologetically.

"Nice strategy" says athena " show off your power by incapacitating everyone and hurting those who have been ennemies in the past and keep those who have been allies and knwo you best behind as supposed captives to show you mean business. Very Athenian of you."

"wait so that was all for show?" Apollo and Hermes say simultaneously looking very confused. To which Artemis rolls her eyes and Hades chuckles.

"yes and no. Everything Athena said was correct but she missed one crucial thing." Percy answers with a smirk having decived the wisdom goddess.

"Oh really and what might that be then!" Athena snaps testily.

"I enjoyed punishing Hera." Percy replys coldy with an evil grin. " though she will be a ally eventually i could see it in her eyes she needs to know that im in charge not her and that i will not hesitate to end her. Now I believe i have a fight to win."

Turing to Hades and thanatos percy draws riptide out and prepares for battle.
