Hestia POV
As Hestia went towards the location in which the deities would be able to watch the wargame, she met up with a certain red haired goddess called Loki, as they simply traveled in silence in the company of one another, until Loki eventually spoke.
"That brat of yours better have a plan, because if he loses…"
"Yeah, I know, but there is no need to worry. After all, you of all people should know whether from Ais or Bell himself just how powerful he is, the odds of him losing are lower than miniscule." - Hestia said, Loki nodding in agreement as they continued making their way to the viewing location.
When they arrived, Hestia sat down next to Miach, Hephestus, and Takemikazuchi, Loki sitting behind the 3 wordlessly, as although she didn't want to admit it, she preferred the company of the 4 gods in front of her over the others because of how kind they are.
Suddenly, Hermes stood up for the war game and suddenly cleared his throat. "Ouranos-Sama, permission to use Arcanum?" - Hermes yelled, as he suddenly got a reply. "Permission granted." - The voice of Ouranos replied, as Hermes suddenly flared his divine aura which suddenly created multiple screens in the air of which multiple different angles of the upcoming wargame could be seen, one of which showed Bell sitting in his throne in the empty throne room, hands crossed with his forearms on his knees.
"He is way too cocky!"
"Doesn't he know what is about to happen to his Familia!"
"The Apollo Familia will wipe that smug look off of him."
"His Familia is only F rank, Apollo's Familia is a C rank Familia, the Little Rookies Familia doesn't stand a chance!" - Were some of the many words said by the various adventurers around Orario after seeing how Bell simply sat in that chair with a calm expression on his face, seeming as if he didn't have a care in the world.
This chatter was soon interrupted by the sound of a loud horn being blown, signaling the starting of the wargame as bets were beginning to be made on which Familia would win.
"Are you a fool, Mord? Why the hell are you betting all of your Valis on the Hestia Familia?" - An adventurer said to Mord as they were currently inside of a bar, the other nearby adventurers questioning Mord as well.
"Just shut the hell up will ya? None of you saw what I saw on the 18th floor, so quit questioning me!" - Mord finished with a yell, shuting everyone inside of the bar up.
After a couple minutes of silence, there was the sound of yelling coming from the screen, as if one looked, they would see every level 1 adventurer in the Apollo Familia charging towards the castle, some with swords and others with Bows and Arrow, as Luan, Cassandra, Lissos, Daphne, and Hyakinthos were following behind like the cowards they were.
After being only 50 meters away from the castle, a lone figure could be seen standing on the castle's entrance, that being none other than Mikoto.
"This is what greets us? A sole level 2 adventurer? How pitiful!" - Hyakinthos said, causing the level 1's of the Apollo Familia to laugh. "I pity you, in fact I pity you so much that if you let us through, we won't fight you which would most likely result in your death!" - Hyakinthos said, Mikoto narrowing her eyes at the captain, before unsheathing one of her magic swords.
"Fine, have it your way! Kill her!" - Hyakinthos said, as the arches fired their bows before Mikoto sung the magic sword as hard as she could, creating an arc of fire which incinerated the wooden arrows upon coming into contact with them, as she swung her sword 2 more times on either side of the castle, blocking off any way of entry except for the main entrance.
"Magic swords? How dare you wield the very weapon that killed my people!" - Lissos yelled in outrage, causing Mikoto to raise an eyebrow.
"And? You are aware that our blacksmith is a Crozzo right? What makes you think we wouldn't have any if the fate of our Familia is on the line?" - Mikoto questioned, causing Lissos to grind her teeth in seething anger.
"I see then… I will just have to put him down so he cannot make anymore of those monstrosities!" - Lissos yelled, causing Mikoto to inwardly smirk as everything was going according to her king's Plan.
With that, all of the level 1 members of the Apollo Familia charged at the gate, as Mikoto swung her magic sword causing the majority of them to be heavily injured to the point they could no longer battle.
"W-w-what the h-hell?" - Hyakinthos said, not expecting that over half of his familia would be wiped out this quickly, regardless of if it was by a magic sword.
"What's wrong? I thought you would try a little harder?" - Mikoto taunted which was nothing like her usual, kind and calm self.
After hearing her words, Hyakinthos became enraged.
"WHAT ARE YOU ALL WAITING FOR?! ATTACK HER!" - Hyakinthos yelled, as all the remaining level 1 fighters rushed at Mikoto, as she once again continued to slash her magic sword, decimating a multitude of Apollo Familia members but they still kept on rushing her, so with a heavy heart, she used her last magic sword to quickly dispatch the rest of the now barely alive adventurers.
"Looks like I have to do everything around here…" - Hyakinthos said, only to have his cloak grabbed by Cassandra who had a shy and worried expression.
"Captain, are you sure about this? I had a dream whe-" - Cassandra tried to say, but was cut off by Hyakinthos who backhanded her face with a scowl, causing her to drop her staff and fall on her back with a red mark on her face, as she tried to hold back her tears of pain, but ultimately failed.
"Quit with your useless ramblings. I don't care what you dreamt about, as it was nothing but a dream. Now, you along with Luan will distract that girl whilst me, Lissos, and Daphne charge the main gate and take down Rabbit's foot, understood?" - Hyakinthos said, causing Cassandra to fearfully nod, worried that if she didn't comply her own captain was going to hurt her.
Mikoto, seeing this, suddenly had a pained expression, sad that she had to witness a member of a Familia getting humiliated by their captain. But knowing what was coming next, she took a deep breath, planning to end things in an flashy fashion, knowing that B-, no, Yhwach wanted her to show her the world what the Quincies were capable of, as she rushed towards the other members with the use of Hirenkyaku, albeit at a much slower pace than usual, but was still nearly too fast for anyone to prepare for as she tried to pierce Hyakinthos, only for him to dodge with a hair's breath with a surprised expression, but shook it off as he along with Lissos and Daphne rushed towards the entrance of the castle, Mikoto turning around to pretend as if she was going to rush the castle to stop them when Luan predictably clashed his knife against her sword.
"Your fights with me and useless over there, speaking of which, start supporting me Cassandra!" - Luan demanded, as he tried to push Mikoto back only for her to flash away, causing him to fall forward and lose his balance, greatly hurting his inflated ego.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Don't run away from a fight you coward! I mean, I get that you are afraid of someone like me, but this is no time for that, fight me you coward!" - Luan yelled, once again charging Mikoto as they began to clash swords against one another, all the while Mikoto had a calm expression on her face which continued to enrage Luan.
Suddenly, an arrow was sent flying through the air directly towards Mikoto, which she destroyed with her Katana, once again surprising Luan.
"Finally starting to get into the swing of things. Keep firing Cassandra!" - Luan yelled as if he were her boss, causing Mikoto to inwardly frown after seeing how prideful and demanding Luan was.
Scene Change: With Hyakinthos, Lissos, and Daphne
After walking a relatively short distance, they found the entrance to the main throne room completely vacant.
"Lissos, you enter from the left. Daphne, you enter from the right, I will go through the main entrance, we will form a pincer attack on the Rabbit's Foot and end this." - Hyakinthos said, as they gave a nod before going to the places in which Hyakinthos ordered them, not knowing that they would be following Bell's plan.
As Lissos went to the right entrance of the throne room on the left side of the castle, she was met with a waiting Welf, who stood there with his arms crossed and a smug smirk on his face.
"You… you're the Crozzo who is able to make Magic Swords, aren't you!" - Lissos said whilst pointing his sword at Welf, causing him to frown.
"What's the big idea? I get that you're an elf and are most likely angry with the fact that my ancestors were the creators of the weapons that were the cause of the destruction of the Elven Forests. But that has nothing to do with me as I wasn't even born yet."
After hearing this, Lissos simply grinded his teeth in hatred which couldn't be seen because of the mask he was wearing. "It doesn't matter, I made a promise to kill you to that Samurai girl, and I intend to keep it!" - Lissos yelled as he charged Welf, as Welf in turn pulled out his broadsword and clashed with Lissos, causing sparks to fly.
Welf with his superior strength, tried to cleave Lissos and his sword in 2, only for Lissos to side step the attack and attempt to stab Welf, only form him to block with the flat end of his broadsword, deflecting it skyward and performing a diagonal slash at Lissos, as he was barely able to backstep and dodge the attack, although the wasn't able to completely dodge it as he has a small tear on his red cloak, as he clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"It seems I underestimated you. Although it won't matter in the end, as I am a level 3 and you are a level 2 so I out class you." - Lissos said with confidence, causing Welf to chuckle which confused the Elf.
"We will just have to see then won't we?" - Welf questioned as the 2 once again clashed with one another.
Daphne however, was on the right side of the castle and was met with the supposed "Supporter" of the Hestia Familia.
"Move, or I will force you to move." - Daphne said, as Lily slowly drew her short sword.
"His Majesty is going to battle Hyakinthos, your fight is with me." - Lily said, confusing Daphne as to why Lily used such an honorific, but nonetheless charged her as the 2 clashed swords.
Because of the level difference, Daphne underestimated the strength of Lily, rewarding her by being pushed away with Lily.
"You're stronger than I thought you would be… Are you really a level 2?" - Daphne questioned, causing Lily to chuckle in amusement.
"Of course I am, only cowards lie about their level." - Lily said, as Daphne nodded in response before once again charging at Lily, as she tried to slash upwards at Lily, but was surprised to see Lily block it with her forearm, the as dark blue lines signifying the advanced Blut Vene appeared, as the sword stopped as soon as it came into contact with Lily's arm, shocking Daphne as well as all of the spectators.
"What kind of Magic is that!" - A man yelled in shock, as under no circumstances should a weapon of a level 3 adventurer not be enough to cut through a person of a lower level arm with no protection.
"What is that Hestia!? Your child must be cheating! What kind of magic is that!?" - Apollo questioned in outrage, as the other deities looked at Hestia curiously, as for the first time in a long time, Hestia had a serious look on her face.
What people seem to forget is whilst Hestia is very bubbly, short, and childish. She is also the eldest greek god, and arguably the strongest considering that anything that falls under home is under her domain, weather it be a house, an apartment, a hotel, a castle, a city, or even the entire planet, making her one of the strongest if not the strongest Greek god in existence as well as the oldest. All the other deities seemed to realize this as for once, Hestia wasn't acting like her childish self but instead that of a calculating and serious goddess.
"Why do you want to know? Are you perhaps second guessing challenging my Familia? Also, it's not magic, it is a skill." - Hestia said, causing Apollo to flinch at the cold tone of Hestia.
"N-no, it won't matter anyway since skills are only limited to one person, so I have no need to worry-." Apollo tried to say, but was cut off by one of the other screens showing Welf who was also using Blut Vene when Lissos slashed his arm, not even leaving a scratch.
"What the hell? How can 2 people have the same magic?!" - Apollo yelled, causing the other gods to once again give Hestia expected looks, expecting an answer from the Goddess of the Hearth.
"Once again, it is not Magic, it is a skill. This was passed down to them by Bell, who is the origin of where this skill came from." - Hestia said, causing all of the other deities to hand their mouths open in shock. As a majority of them started to look at the screen in which Bell was sitting on the throne like chair with greedy eyes, which Hestia, Loki, Hephestus, Miach, and Takemikazuchi saw, Hestia being the only person seemingly uncaring at the blatant greed the other gods were showing when looking at her captain.
"That wasn't a very good idea, now everyone is going to be trying to get Bell into their Familia." - Loki whispered into Hestia's ear so the other eighties wouldn't hear them.
"Please, not only is Bell, Mikoto, Welf, and Lily a lot stronger because of their unique set of skills, I also highly doubt you would let any of the stronger Familia's target Bell when he is Ais Wallenstein's girlfriend." - Hestia whispered back, causing Loki to scoff before leaning back in her chair, knowing Hestia was right on the fact that she would defend the Hestia Familia when push comes to shove because of the relationship between Bell and Ais.
Meanwhile with Bell and Hyakinthos
After arriving at the main entrance of the main hall, Hyakinthos kicked the large double doors open with a large crash, almost kicking the doors off of the hinges.
"A little eager to lose, aren't we?" - Bell said in a mocking tone, causing Hyakinthos to grit his teeth in anger.
"I don't understand what Apollo sees in you, you're nothing. In fact, since this is a no holds barred wargame, I can kill you with no repercussions." - Hyakinthos said, drawing a longsword which had a slight curve, causing Bell to narrow his eyes.
"Really? What gave you the impression that you can stand up to me in the first place? Me and you are at 2 entirely different levels of power." - Bell said, causing Hyakinthos to let out a loud laugh, causing Bell to frown in displeasure.
"Are you insane!? I am a level 4, whilst you are nothing but a fresh level 2, you are no match for me!" - Hyakinthos said in a boisterous voice, causing Bell to raise an eyebrow of mild amusement.
"Then give it all you got, boy." - Bell said, causing Hyakinthos to grind his teeth in anger at the fact that this supposed 16 year old was calling him a boy, when he himself was 22 years old.
Fed up with Bell's disrespect, he charged at Bell to which he unsheathed Zangetsu, as their swords clashed creating a shockwave.
"Firebolt." - Bell said, causing Hyakinthos's eyes to widen as Bell fired a point blank firebolt, which he dodged at the last second but was rewarded with a kick to his side, knocking him 10 meters away before he regained control over himself and landed on his feet.
Hyakinthos quickly recovered, and launched full speed at Bell, intending to cleave him in 2, but Bell dodged leaving Hyakinthos wide open, as he tried to land a strike on Hyakinthos's chest which was dodged by him performing a backflip, giving him a moment to gather himself as he seemed to underestimate Bell's strength.
"I admit, I underestimated you, but that won't happen again." - Hyakinthos said, as with a new found speed, he rushed at Bell, catching him off guard as he almost landed a cut on Bell's cheek. But the next instant, he used the momentum of his slash to kick Bell in his side with his heel, sending him flying into a wall.
With a swing of his sword, Bell cleared the dust of where he landed into the wall, revealing his form to be completely unscathed, as a blue pattern could be seen lighting up his side before quickly fading away, signifying that he was able to activate his Blut before Hyakinthos landed his hit.
"It seems I will also have to go all out as well." - Bell said, causing Hyakinthos to raise an eyebrow, as Bell wordlessly deactivated his 10x gravity bracelet and charged at Hyakinthos trying to cleave him in 2, but was stopped by Hyakinthos's sword, as in a flurry of strikes and parries, the 2 exchanged blows.
Whilst Hyakinthos had an overall higher status then Bell, granting him superior strength, speed, and durability, Bell more then made up for it with his Techniques and experience as well as being able to use his Reiryoku to give himself a slight boost to his physical capabilities, although it was nowhere near the level of Blut Arterie which he hasn't had access to ever since his reincarnation.
Scene Change: Battle of Mikoto between Cassandra and Luan.
"You're quite good, however…" - Mikoto said as she parried a slash from luan by deflecting his dagger to the side, leaving his torso open which she took advantage of by leaving a large cut from his right collar bone all the way down to his left hip, as he had a leaned back just in time to avoid gaining an injury that would put him out of commision.
Although, he was now wounded and in pain which would hinder his movements which he couldn't afford to do in this fight, so he quickly backed off to drink a high potion to stop the bleeding and partially heal his wound. Mikoto tried to stop him but was stopped by an arrow courtesy of Cassandra, as she caught the arrow in her hand. But in the time it took her to do this, Luan was able to down the high potion, so in frustration she snapped the arrow in her hand before dropping it, as she zoomed towards Cassandra with the use of Hirenkyaku, as before she could process what happened, she chopped Cassandra on her neck, knocking her out as she caught her and carefully laid her on the ground.
But the instant she laid Cassandra down, Luan tired to perform a cheapshot by slamming his foot into Mikoto's side, which he succeeded in doing as Mikoto coughed up saliva since she had no time to activate Blut Vene, as she was sent hurtling towards the outside wall of the castle, creating a crater because as of right now, Laun was stronger and ever so slightly slower then her because of Hirenkyaku, as well as the assist from Cassandra had put her in a tight spot. The only reason she had the advantage for a time was because of the fact she had access to her Quincy techniques as well as the experience she has in combat since she was previously in a far eastern type Familia which focuses heavily on martial arts. But because she had no time to chant, she was unable to use her magic and she didn't want to reveal ALL of her Quincy techniques until Yhwach gave them the go ahead.
After recovering herself, she noticed that the rest of the Apollo Familia members that consisted of roughly 17 adventurers were either low level 2's or level 1's, and were running directly towards the entrance of the castle. So using the last Magic sword she was given by Welf, she swung it with all of her might, as flames were sent flying through the air off of the sword which was now broken, catching the adventurers off guard as they were sent flying away in the midst of the flames, incinerating them as they were sent sprawling on the floor. To Mikoto's relief, none of them had perished because of her attack, as she could tell they were still alive since she could sense, albeit in extremely small quantities since they were not spiritually aware, amounts of Reiryoku coming off of them. As she didnt want to kill them since they were just following their Captain's orders.
But for proof of Luan's cowardice, as he once again struck Mikoto when she had been focused on something else, this time with his sword as he created a large gash on her back causing her to cough up blood, as she was kicked but before the kick landed, she activated Blut Vene but was still sent flying because of the force behind the said kick.
"Agh." - Mikoto groaned in pain, as Luan could be seen approaching her with a smirk that oozed arrogance.
"It seems you were nothing but a useless bitch in the end, I have no idea what that shity captain of yours saw in you… You're nothing but a waste of space." - Luan said, brandishing his sword as Mikoto's expression became shadowed by her hair.
Scene Change: With Welf and Lissos
As the man and elf clashed broadsword with longsword, Lissos began to notice that he was being overpowered by Welf. As using all the strength he had, he launched Welf away with the swing of his longsword, causing Welf to slam into the edge of the bridge, cracking it, as Lissos tried to land a killing blow by piercing Welf's heart with his longsword, only for his sword to be blocked by the flat of Welf's broadsword, as Welf tilted his broadsword and sliced along the edge of the longsword, cutting through the swords guard and leaving a shallow gash on Lissos's left Bicep.
"Tch! Filthy human!" - Lissos yelled in a mixture of pain and rage causing Welf to inwardly scowl, his face still blank.
"You just tried to kill me, I think that was a fair reaction." - Welf replied with a blank face, furthur enraging Lissos.
"JUST SHUT UP AND DIE ALREADY!" - Lissos replied in frustration, as he kicked off the ground towards Welf and tried to slice down onto Welf, only for the said red head to side step the attack. But as soon as he dodged, he found Lissos's heel which was mere inches away from the top of his head, as Lissos performed a front flip trying to heel kick Welf.
Not having enough time to dodge, Welf quickly activated Blut Vene right when the strike landed, almost completely nullifying the damage it would have done as there was only a small red mark on the top of his head, although his face was slammed into the floor because of the sheer force behind the strike which he wasn't ready for. As before he could get up, Lissos grabbed Welf by the collar of his white double double breasted trench coat, before throwing him into the wall of the castle on the other side of the bridge, as he finally had a clear path with no 'obstructions' to the entrance of the castle.
As he took a step forward, he stopped himself as a gritted his teeth, before turning towards the location Welf had impacted the wall, as he rushed towards Welf who was embedded inside of the wall, as he slammed knee into Welf's chest, causing all the air in Welf's lungs to be forced out as he coughed up saliva, as Lissos grabbed Welf by his hair and slamming his face onto his knee, as Welf was thankfully able to activate Blut Vene, nullifying the attack.
In retaliation, Welf tried to side kick Lissos, only for his leg to be grabbed as Lissos turned around and threw Welf to the otherside of the bridge once again, as he rolled on the floor before eventually coming to a stop right in front of the entrance of the main hall.
"Just so I know you won't be interfering later, I will end your miserable life, you disgusting human." - Lissos said, as he gripped the hilt of his sword and started to walk towards the prone form of Welf, deciding he had beaten Welf up enough and it was time to finish the job.
Scene Change: With Lily and Daphne
"You're a lot stronger than you look, although it is nowhere near enough to defeat me." - Daphne said, as she dodge a dagger which Lily had tried to use to slash her torso, as she used the flat of her short sword to knock Lily away, as Lily was able to activate Blut Vene before the strike landed.
"Move, or I will be forced to hurt you even more. I would rather avoid doing so." - Daphne said with a sigh, walking towards Lily, not noticing how her slapping her sword against Lily's side seemed to do no damage.
"I can't do that, so I guess it's time to kick it up a notch!" - Lily replied, earning a raised eyebrow from Daphne, as Lily rushed at Daphne with Hirenkyaku, surprising Daphne with her speed as she tried to slice Daphne with her dagger which Daphne was barely able to block with her short sword. Lily, noticing that she was focused on blocking that attack, quickly reached behind herself to grab her second dagger and slicing her shoulder, creating a gash which although drew blood, was still shallow since Daphne backpedaled at the last moment.
Quickly recovering, Daphne decided that she wouldn't underestimate Lily and would use all the strength that her Falna provided her. She then rushed Lily, before returning with a strike of her own which Lily managed to deflect before trying to use her other hand to stab Daphne in the arm which held her short sword, as her wrist was caught by Daphne before she kicked off of Daphne to free herself, as she was able to score a small cut on Lily's shoulder which was negated by Lils's Blut.
Whilst still in the air after kicking off of Daphne, Daphne quickly grabbed Lily's ankle and yanked her towards herself, slamming as she slammed her elbow into Lily's collar bone, knocking the wind out of her. She then used her sword to try and slice Lily's chest, only for it to be blocked by Lily's shortsword, as she tried to sneakily tried to stab her arm which held her shortsword with a dagger which Daphne noticed, as she performed a front kick on Lily to which she was able to negate the blunt force with the use of Blut Vene. She didn't however, activate her Blut when she was slammed into the side of the massive wall next to the entrance to the main hall, as her shoulder was pierced by a piece of metal that was sticking out of the wall, causing her to groan in pain before slicing the end of the piece of metal off, before sliding herself off of it with a groan of pain.
Dropping to her knees, Lily tried to clutch the hole on her shoulder whilst trying to use her Blut to slow the bleeding, which although it did help, she was now in a lot of pain.
"I am going to end this now, you are clearly in no shape to continue fighting." - Daphne said with a sigh of regret, having the oh so familiar feeling of guilt rise in her stomach at having to inflict such pain on someone, even though it was her job to do so, being an adventurer and all.
With a scream of sheer agony, Lily cauterised the wound on her shoulder with her Schrift. Daphne, not seeing this, falsely assumed that this was due to her having the gaping hole in her shoulder, but was actually from the pain of cauterising it.
Scene Change: With Bell and Hyakinthos
"So, it seems like it all leads to this?" - Bell said, as he leaned forward on his throne, grinning at Hyakinthos with a small smirk.
"You know, I can't even fathom what Apollo-sama sees in you, you're nothing but a fraud." - Hyhakinthos said as he drew his sword, pointing it at Bell with a snarl, causing Bell to narrow his eyes at being called a fraud.
"Do you wish to fight me, 'Champion' of Apollo?"
"No, I plan on killing you since your goddess thought it would be a good idea to lift all rules on this wargame, meaning it would be viewed as a freak 'accident' if I were to kill you." - Hyakinthos said as he rushed at Bell, only for his sword to be stopped in its tracks by Zangetsu, as their blades were locked together, Bell's face showing surprise after a second before Hyakinthos followed through with his swing, launching Bell through one of the nearby pillars.
Before he had time to recover, he found the tip of Hyakinthos's sword coming at his neck from the side, as he brought his hand in front of it with the signature blue pattern of Blut Vene appearing on his hand, showing he nullified the attack.
"Nice try." - Bell said, as he clenched the tip of Hyakinthos's sword, before yanking it towards him causing Hyakinthos to stumble forward, as he was nearly kicked in the side of the head by Bell, but was able to catch his leg with his left hand, as he threw Bell over his shoulder, sending him careening through yet another pillar and come to an abrupt halt at he slammed into the wall, creating a large puff of smoke.
"You know, throwing me and launching me away won't do you any good…" - Bell said, as through the smoke, a firebolt was sent straight towards Hyakinthos to which he was unable to dodge, so he deflected it with his sword.
This left him wide open however, as Bell used this as an opportunity try and cleave Hyakinthos in 2, only for Hyakinthos to backpedal at the last instant, before rushing back at Bell and trying to cut his head off as his blade was met with resistance, courtesy of Zangetsu, their blades locked together once again.
Not wasting any time, Hyakinthos quickly angled his sword and sliced against the blade of Zangetsu, right towards Bell's face to which he leaned away from but still got a small cut on his cheek, showing Hyakinthos drew first blood.
'He's a much more capable swordsman than I gave him credit for.' - Bell thought, as he dodge another sword strike from Hyakinthos.
'His overall power also seems to be at the height of a level 4, on the border of being level 5. If I were to guess, based on the brief moments where me and him have gotten in a sword lock. I venture to guess that he had his strength and dexterity in both B or A rank, as well as his Agility stat being S rank before each level up.' - Bell thought, as he inwardly started to grin at the idea of a good fight, but was cut out of his thoughts by a downward slash by Hyakinthos as he tried to block it, but was surprised to see that it was a faint, as an upward slash was directed towards his torso, but was stopped by Bell's Blut.
"That ability of yours sure is troublesome." - Hyakinthos said with a snarl, trying to perform a leg sweep on Bell, only for him to jump over it.
Whilst in mid air, Bell was unable to dodge the kick from Apollo, as he was sent through the roof, of the building, giving him a good look at the surrounding area, as he saw the injured forms of Mikoto, Welf, and Lily being approached by their various opponents, causing Bell to frown as he landed on the roof of the castle.
Seeing that Bell was now on the roof, Hyakinthos quickly jumped onto the roof of the castle, as he was met with the same view as Bell, causing him to smirk devilishly.
"You've lost Little Rookie. You have no comrades left standing, meaning it's only a matter of time until we all join together to take you down. So even though up till now, you have somewhat miraculously kept up with me, there is absolutely no hope left for you if my executives join me." - Hyakinthos said with another cocky smirk, as shadows began to cover Bell's face.
"What a pussy, ganging up on someone 2 levels below you with your other Familia members, has he no shame?" - A man from the bar in which Mord was sitting, as the whole bar turned into a screaming match at the cowardice of Apollo Familia's captain. Their screaming was eventually cut short by the sound of a man slamming the table with his fists, this benign Mord as his eyebrows narrowed, as he began to focus on the screen showing the wargame.
"It's not over yet."
"How would you know that Mord? Look at the situation, the rest of the Little Rookie's Familia are down, how is he supposed to defend himself against the Apollo Familia captain and executives by himself?" - A man questioned, as Mord gave him a side glance before looking back at the screen.
"Just sit back and watch." - Was all Mord said, as the entire bar did just that.
"Who said that they were defeated?" - Bell questioned as a smirk began to appear on Bell's face as he slowly began to get up, his long white hair blowing widely through a non-existent wind, his eyes narrowed on Hyakinthos.
"Has the predicament of your situation finally set in, causing you to go mad?" - Hyakinthos said, as Bell ignored him, as he started to look into the sky with a serene smile on his face, letting out a small chuckle whilst slowly shaking his head.
Hyakinthos seeing this, assumed that Bell had finally lost it, that he had fallen into a state of denial, decided to call forth the rest of his executives that had finished fighting, defeating Bell's comrades with a loud stomp onto the ground. As Daphne, Lissos, and Luan all appeared behind him, looking at him with a curious look.
"I was so close to killing that despicable Crozzo, why did you call us over so suddenly? Surely you aren't having a hard time with the Little Rookie?" - Lissos questioned with an annoyed look, as Hyakinthos simply pointed to Bell, who was now looking at him with a twisted smirk.
"This brat is going crazy with denial, it's about time we put him out of his misery, so lets make this quick." - Hyakinthos said, as the other 3 nodded, Lissos with a scowl however as he this means that the wargame would be over before he can finish ending Welf's life, as after the defeat of Bell, the wargame would officially be over, any action after that being against the law.
"It's over Hestia, your child is about to fall to my children, just as I predicted, and although I am saddened by the fact that it seems I won't be adding that little captain of yours to my collection since it seems he will be perishing quite soon. I will at least have that little Prum supporter and that blacksmith. Oh well I guess" - Apollo said with a sigh of fake sadness, putting a hand to his head in regret whilst smiling sadistically at Hestia, who's facial expressions haven't changed since the start of the wargame.
"Tch, quit yelling like a lunatic and just watch." - Hestia said, causing Apollo to grit his teeth in annoyance at being disrespected.
But before he could snark back a reply, he realised that the other gods and goddesses were also giving him disdainful looks, as they seemed to be sick of his antics for once when such an interesting show is being put on before their eyes. As with a huff of annoyance, Apollo sat back down and continued watching the screen, his hotty attitude still resolution throughout the room as his confidence never wavered even for a second.
"They aren't in a good situation, are you sure that they will be okay, Ais?" - Fin questioned, knowing the relationship between Bell and Ais and how this created an unofficial comradery between the two Famillia's. Especially when even though their gods may seem like they hate each other, they are somewhat friends. As back in heaven, Loki was a huge instigator, being a god of mischief and all, and would constantly start fights with other gods for the smallest of things. Yet Hestia and Loki would constantly banter and send minor insults at each other, but would never get in serious fights. It was more like they were 2 siblings arguing or fighting with each other, not actual enemies.
"They will be fine, they haven't even gone all out yet, let alone use all their abilities." - Ais said calmly, gaining the rest of the Loki Familia executives attention.
"Why would they do that? They are in the middle of a war and are fighting against enemies that are a level above them or in Hyakinthos's case, 2 levels above them." - Gareth replied, knowing just how dangerous it was to hold back against opponents when there was such a large gap in abilities.
"The Quincy race has a multitude of abilities and skills that give them the ability to close the gap against opponents even if there is a level difference. It all depends on the said Quincies power and efficiency in the various Quincy abilities." - Ais said, causing Fin to nod in understanding, as they continued to intently watch the wargame.
"Ohh deer, if this continues, I will have to step in and steal Bell from Apollo." - Freya said in disappointment, hoping that her "Odr" and his Familia were capable of defeating the Apollo Familia.
"Would you like me to step in, Milady?" - Ottar in a respectful yet monotone voice, who was standing in the doorway to the room at the top of Babel which the goddess Frey resided in.
"Not yet Ottar, I still want to see what will happen next." - Freya said as she intensely watched the wargame.
Back in the wargame
Hyakinthos began to slowly approach Bell who began to stand, as he still had that same smug look on his face which deeply pissed Hyakinthos off.
"I think it's about time that my children, no, my brother and sisters spread their wings." - Bell said, as three pillars of light which had a Quincy Zeichen at the top appeared behind him. One being purple, another being green, and the other being red.
This completely baffled everyone watching, as the sound of a chiming Bell could be heard, before the pillars of Reishi began to break down, showing the form of Mikoto inside the purple one, Lily inside of the green one, and Welf inside of the red one. Their forms still battered yet they all had confident looks on their faces. As after giving Bell a questioning look, he nodded, as the 4 Quincies discreetly deactivated their gravity bracelets. As Welf, Lily, and Mikoto had 5x gravity bracelets whilst Bell had a 10x Gravity bracelet.
"Those theatrics of yours wont do anything. Your all just a bunch of filthy hu-" - Lissos tried to say, but was cut off when Welf used Hirenkyaku, as to everyone under level 3 watching, flashed in front of Lissos before he grabbed Lissos by the face and flushed away, as only a second later, an explosion of fire and smoke could be seen at the otherside of the castle.
'What was that? I couldn't even see him mo-.' - Luan tried to think, fear clearly evident on his face as his cowardice was beginning to show but was cut short as just like Welf, Mikoto used to flash step to get behind Luan, as she created a portal using her Schrift before kicked Luan inside, as she followed behind him soon after before closing the portal.
"W-What the?" - Daphne said, her calm facade now broken as clear worry was evident in her voice, as before she could process what had just happened, a flash of lightning appeared in front of her as a shock spread throughout her body, as when it stopped, she appeared to be flying through the air before slamming into the wall of the castle and going through said wall, as she skid on the dirt outside of the castle walls before coming to a stop.
"What the hell was that?! That isn't possible!" - Hyakinthos yelled at Bell as the assumed three members that he thought defeated, were now back in the fight, far stronger then they were before and seemed to possess some weird abilities that didn't involve any magic. As Bell simply sighed before chuckling with a shake of his head, a grin still plastered on his face.
"This whole time. Myself, Lily, Welf, and Mikoto were all heavily holding back both our power and abilities. We are now out of your league and the only fate left for you and your Familia is defeat." - Bell said, as Hyakinthos growled in anger.
"You are only a level 2 adventurer, you don't stand a chance in hell against me, a level 4!" - Hyakinthos yelled, as he rushed at Bell, trying to slash him from his left shoulder down to his right hip, when suddenly a clang could be heard.
After a second of complete silence throughout all of Orario, whether it be the gods or mortals, if one was watching the battle, they would see Bell with a blank face blocking Hyakinthos's attack… With 1 finger.
After seeing his attack getting blocked by only a finger, a sense of dread began to overcome Hyakinthos, as his eyes began to widen.
But before he could pull away, Bell's straight finger bent forward, as suddenly, quicker then almost everyone could see excluding those who were veteran level 5 adventurers or higher, Bell swung Zangetsu at Hyakinthos's gut, sending blood flying everywhere, as Hyakinthos coughed up blood.
"Ohh? I could have sworn I had cut you in 2…" - Bell said as his grin faded into a frown, as he let go of Hyakinthos who stumbled backwards and pulled out a pink potion.
"Elixir? I see, I should have known that the captain of the Apollo Familia would carry such a valuable potion in case of emergency. Because if your heart or brain isn't damaged, you're not missing a limb, and you're still alive, an Elixir can heal almost anything. Although they do cost a pretty penny, about 1 Million Valis if I am not mistaken." - Bell said out loud whilst nodding to himself as he crossed his arms, as Hyakinthos quickly poured part of the elixir onto his wound before drinking the rest, as steam could be seen coming from his abdomen, as his gaping gash began to slowly become smaller and slowly bled less and less, before it closed completely.
"Now then, shall we fight?" - Bell said, as he now had a full on smile, as Hyakinthos looked at him wearily.
"I don't know what that was, or how you were able to stop my attack so easily. But it doesn't matter, it was just a fluke since I lost control of my emotions. It won't happen again, after all, miracles only happen once." - Hyakinthos said as he rushed at Bell, the pair trading blows at a blinding speed, although Hyakinthos seemed to barely be able to keep up.
Scene Change: With Welf and Lissos
After being roughly 10 meters above the ground, Welf let go of Lissos and before he could fall, used Burning Stomp which crashed into Lissos's back, causing him to spit up blood as he crashed onto the ground in a huge plume of smoke and fire.
Welf, after a moment, started to slowly descend to the ground, his red hair and white Quincy attire blowing throughout the wind, giving him a menacing aura.
"What's wrong? I thought you were going to 'kill me', don't tell me you have no strength left." - Welf said with a condescending frown, as Lissos let out a groan before sitting up as he had multiple burn marks on his clothes which also had multiple holes, his hair was scorched, and his arm seemed dislocated.
With a grunt of pain, Lissos shoved his arm back into place before using that said arm to grab his shortsword. As he slowly stood to his feet with a snarl, before giving Welf the most defiant look he had seen yet.
"What kind of power was that? Surely, a level 2 such as yourself cant have that type of magic power… Unless it's not magic at all." - Lissos said, as Welf nodded, before blitzing in front of him before slamming his broadsword against Lissos's shortsword, as they were in a deadlock.
"Congratulations, you figured it out." - Welf whispered, as he kicked Lissos in the knee, causing him to stumble which gave him the opening he needed to strike, as he pointed his finger at Lissos, the tip of it lighting up in a red hue.
"Burner Finger 1." - Welf said quietly enough so only Lissos could hear and not the audience of Orario. As the sheer heat from the attack, which although was toned down as to not permanently injure Lissos, was still enough to synge the skin on his shoulder, causing him to scream in pain, as he fell backwards, clutching his burned shoulder.
"This, little elf, is from my Spiritual energy." - Welf explained, as he kneeled down to be on the same level as Lissos, who now adorned a confused look.
"Never heard of it." - Lissos replied, as he began pouring the last potion he had on his shoulder, healing it.
"That makes sense, after all, we never explained what it is." - Welf said, once again confusing Lissos.
"To put it simply, I am a part of a legendary race called the Quincies. I joined this said race after being accepted by Yhwach. Furthermore, we use a different source of energy for power. His majesty later granted me the position of Sternritter and gifted me a Schrift. That being what you saw me use earlier which allows me to basically create and manipulate fire." - Welf said, causing Lissos to widen his eyes in shock, as he shakily got to his feet.
"Why do you look so surprised? I haven't even gotten to the best part yet." - Welf said, as before he could continue, Lissos rushed at him, trying to decapitate him, only for Welf to rush forward and kick Lissos in the chest, knocking the air out of him and sending him flying into the wall.
"Such ferocity, I thought Elfs were less, how do I put this, aggressive." - Welf said, as Lissos grunted before once again charging at Welf, this time trying to gut him, only for his sword to be met with Welf's sword.
After a brief struggle, Welf overpowered Lissos which sent him off balance which Welf took advantage of. "Burner Finger 2." - Welf said, as his middle and pointer finger produced searing hot flames which he swung towards Lissos, who was able to duck under the attack. But after he dodged, he heard a loud explosion, as when he looked behind himself, he noticed how a large section of the giant wall of the castle had been blown away by the explosion created by Welf's 'Burner Finger 3' attack.
He didn't have much time to process this however as Welf quickly rushed in front of him, trying to kick Lissos in the side of the said Elf used this as an opportunity to try and cut Welf's leg off, but to his surprise, his blade was halted in its tracks when it came into contact with Welf's leg due to his Blut, as Welf simply followed through with his kick which connected into Lissos's shoulder, sending off of his feet and flying towards the doors to the castle.
Before Lissos could crash against the doors, Welf used Hirenkyaku to get below Lissos, and used Burning Full Fingers to send him flying into the sky in a large torrent of flames which engulfed him. His now slightly charred body could be seen falling from the sky and onto a large pillar on one of the walls bordering the castle.
Thankfully, Welf heavily toned down the heat of his flames, so instead of burning the elf to ashes, he was slightly burnt all over his body.
A moment later however, Lissos launched himself off of the Pillar and whilst in mid air, used the last high Potion he had which healed all of his burn marks. When he crashed into Welf, he intended to impale him with his shortsword but was blocked by the flat end of Welf's broadsword. Welf then used Lissos's momentum against him, as he deflected the blow to the side, causing Lissos to crash into the ground, but before he did, he was able to kick Welf in the side of the head, surprising him.
"That was a good kick, although it won't be enough." - Welf said, as he picked up Lissos by the scruff of his shirt, before punching him in the face, causing Lissos to gain a bloody nose as Welf dropped him.
Lissos then tried to leg sweep Welf, although the red head jumped over his legs, as while he was in mid air, Lissos tried to swung his sword at Welf yet again trying to severe him in half, although Welf performed a backflip, flipping away from Lissos.
RIght as he landed, he saw Lissos's sword mere inches away from his face, so he, without thinking, grabbed the edge of the blade whilst activating his Blut, preventing himself from getting cut.
With a click of his tongue, Welf spoke to the now wide eyed Lissos after having his sword grabbed by someone who was supposedly a lower level then him.
"This sword is a disgrace which I take personal offense to." - Welf said as his grip on Lissos's short sword.
"What are you-." - Lissos tried to reply but what was cutoff by the sound of something snapping, that being the his sword which was now broken, as his eyes widened in disbelief before he was then slashed across his chest with Welf's broadsword, creating a massive gash as Welf shoved him away, causing him to stumble back.
"A weapon is something that can be relied on and that won't be broken so easily, whoever made this truly does not take being a smith seriously." - Welf said, as he dropped the piece of the blade which he had been examining with a keen eye.
"H-how? That blade was made out of Dir Adamantite! It was even made by one of the executives of the Goibnu Familia!" - Lissos yelled, although weakly since the blood loss from his wound was starting to take its toll.
Hearing how surprised Lissos was, Welf shook his head before replying.
"Whilst it is true that an executive of the Goibnu Familia can make 1st class weapons that can without a doubt rival weapons of the Hephestus Familia. I can tell with only a glance that whoever made this blade didn't put their heart into it. They were most likely busy making a bunch of backup weapons for a Familia going into the dungeon, they could be going through some sort of grief. But whatever the reason may be, a weapon, no matter what it is made out of, will only be as reliable as the person who made it was passionate about it. Since he obviously wasn't in the right state of mind when forging this blade, it's no surprise that it broke. That's my opinion anyways." - Welf finished, as he looked up to the sky.
"You seem very passionate about your craft, what drives you so much?" - Lissos questioned in genuine curiosity after seeing how passionate Welf was about his craft.
"Hmm, well there are a multitude of different reasons why I am how I am. At first, it was to prove to my family in Rakia that I didn't have to make a magic sword to become a master smith. Then I came to Orario because some of the best materials in the world can be found here. But after realising I had nowhere enough money to buy any of those materials, I foolishly decided to become an adventurer and back then I was only 14, so threw myself into the dungeon to gain Valis. But I didn't know one of the most important rules for the dungeon, which was to join a Familia before entering the dungeon. Long story short, I got my ass kicked by 2 goblins on the first floor, and was in critical condition. The only reason I survived was because I was saved by the captain of the Hephestus Familia, Tsubaki, who then took me to her Famlia to get healed. After I was healed, I was offered a position to join her Familia after Tsubaki and Hephestus learned of my dreams to become a master smith and was also partially because I was one of, if not the last member of the Crozzo bloodline in the entire world." - Welf said, disgust oozing in his tone which surprised Lissos.
"My goals however, are meant only for my Familia, so you wont get to hear them, so I apologize for that." - Welf said, as underneath Lissos's face mask, he had a small smile, although this couldn't be seen by Welf.
"How interesting…" - Lissos said, as he could barely stand.
"Besides that, I haven't gone all out since I released my restrictions, I am way stronger and faster than I was when we were fighting equally. I have yet to go all out." - Welf said, as Lissos gazed at the sky with a small sigh, before his vision started to go dark, as he slowly fell backwards before crashing into the ground.
'So this is what it means to feel helpless, I truly have fallen into despair.' - Were the last thoughts Lissos had before he succumbed to his blood loss, as he passed out, defeated.
With a sigh of indignation, seeing how Lissos was in such Critical Condition, he took the only high potion he brought onto the battlefield before dumping it on Lissos, not wanting to take another life when it was unnecessary.
Scene Change: Lily vs Daphne
Daphne, after being flung outside of the castle walls and sliding against the dirt, began to groan as she slowly stood up, the feeling of electricity burning her beginning to fade.
"So, now that I have lifted my restraints, shall we fight?" - Lily questioned, unsheathing her small shortsword which seemed to hum with some sort of electrical power.
"Why have you been holding back all this time? I wasn't aware that you had magic." - Daphne questioned, as Lily shook her head.
"That's because it's not magic, it's created through my spiritual power which was awakened by His Majesty."
"Well either way, it doesnt change the fact that I still have to beat-" - Daphne tried to say but was cut off by Lily who in a flash of lightning, swung her sword down which was parried by Daphne, as she quickly overpowered her before sweeping her feet from under her, before coating her sword with lightning and swinging it at the falling Daphne, which although she blocked, Lily's sword was still charged with lightning, causing the said lightning to travel throughout Daphne's body which felt like it was searing her from the inside out.
But as soon as the shock traveled throughout her body, it ended, as Lily flashed underneath her and kicked her upwards into the sky, as in another flash of lightning, slammed her 2 fists against Daphne, sending her flying towards the ground, creating a plume of dirt and debris.
Moments later, Daphne shot upwards at the flying Lily, intending to slice her arm, but to her surprise, she found that met her halfway, sending her palm into Daphne's chest before sending a jolt of lightning out of her palm, shooting Daphne back towards the ground. But as she was flying towards the ground, Lily shot at her through the air and grabbed her neck, as when the 2 landed, Daphne was unable to move as she was pinned against the ground by Lily.
Noticing how she was unable to do anything against Lily, Daphne decided to go all out as she used all the might her level 3 status granted her and kneed Lily in the stomach, which although she negated the damage with her Blut, the force caused her to lose her balance and hold on Daphne, as Daphne used this chance to break free of her hold, as she elbowed Lily's cheek, causing her to fall off of Daphne as she then slashed her sword against Lily's shoulder, but was negated by Lily's Blut.
As the pair quickly got back on their feet, Daphne tried to rush Lily, her sword swinging down overhead, but was met by the flat of Lily's shortsword who tilted her sword sideways, causing Daphne to lose her balance as she was almost able to completely dodge Lily's following attack by backstepping, but was unsuccessful as she now had a small cut on her cheek.
"You're a lot stronger than your level suggests, care to elaborate." - Daphne said, drops of sweat falling from her form showing she was exerting herself. The same however, could not be said for Lily.
"That's a Familia secret, all I can tell you is that I really am a level 2 adventurer."
Daphne, after listening to Lily, noticed that she wasn't lying so decided to push the thought of how she got so strong out of her mind, as she kicked off of the ground trying to stab Lily who side stepped it. As the pair began to clash over and over again.
As time went on, it was quite noticeable how much of an advantage Lily had over Daphne who now had multiple cuts all over her body and was breathing heavily, as Lily only had small scratches but was showing no signs of tiring.
"You know, there are a couple reasons why I am currently out performing you, even with a level gap." - Lily said, as she rushed at Daphne, the 2 getting in a sword lock as Daphne gritted her teeth from the effort.
"And what would that be exactly?" - Daphne replied with difficulty, as Lily suddenly twisted her sword and kicked Daphne in the ribs, causing her to cough up Saliva before collapsing on her knees.
"There are a multitude of different reasons for the difference in our abilities, whether it be through our training or experiences, but one of the main factors is our determination to win and our morals to follow through with our orders." - Lily said, as she grabbed Daphne by the collar of her coat, pulling her up to face her.
"You are hesitant when you attack, that is not only because you are afraid of killing me, but also because you don't believe what you are doing is the right thing to do, so you doubt your own motives and hesitate. I however, am 100% percent sure of my goals and what I am doing is the right thing to do, I am also not afraid of killing someone, even though it will be hard to get over at first, you must never forget that in a battle with no rules or regulations, always assume that you opponent is trying to kill you so you must also be ready to do the same if it comes to that." - Lily finished, as she yanked Daphne's collar forward and kneed her in the face, breaking her nose as blood started dripping from her now twisted nose.
But before she could register the pain, lightning shot down from the sky and impacted Daphne, burning her and causing her to be knocked out cold, as Lily let out a sigh before she sat down on a nearby rock.
"Now, the rest is up to you, your majesty."
Scene Change: With Mikoto and Luan
Right now, the 2 were currently in another dimension, as Luan was currently struggling to breath, since Mikoto had grabbed his neck in a vice grip, pinning him against some sort of barrier, not allowing him to move.
"You have quite the mouth on you…" - Mikoto said, as Luan was cursing her with words that would make even a sailor blush.
Seeing that he was trying to say something, she loosened her grip just enough so he could speak.
"Shut up, a filthy wannabe Samurai such as yourself isn't even worthy being the dirt I walk on."
After hearing Luan, Mikoto's eyes narrowed, as she quickly sliced across his chest with her katana before backhanding his face, sending him sprawling on the floor which was invisible.
Before he could stand, Mikoto picked him up by his hair before slamming his face first into the floor once again, as he tried to stand up which Mikoto prevented by stabbing him in the leg, causing him to scream out in a mixture of pain and anger.
Luan then quickly unsheathed a small dagger which was hidden in his belt, as he quickly tried to stab Mikoto in her shoulder, only for it to stop in its tracks when it came into contact with Mikoto's shoulder, the familiar lines of her Blut appearing causing Luan's eyes to widen in shock, but before he could pull away, Mkito grabbed his wrist before twisting it causing Luan to let go of the dagger, as she snatched it out of the air before plunging it into his shoulder, causing him to once again scream out in pain, as he pushed away from Mikoto before pulling the dagger out of his arm, blood pouring out of the wound. A hateful sneer crossed his face as he snarled at Mikoto.
"You know what. After Apollo kills your captain, I am going to slaughter your old Familia and then rape Hestia, your ohh so precious goddess." - Luan said, a cruel smile appearing on his face before he began to gasp for air, as Mikoto suddenly appeared in front of him with Hirenkyaku, as she began squeezing his neck even harder then she was before, as the said girl's face was now covered by a shadow, her spiritual pressure leaking off of her in waves, causing Luan to freeze in fear having not felt anything like this before.
"You dare not only threaten old Familia, you also dare threaten my goddess who is a goddess of the hearth and chastity, as well as being on of the 3 virgin goddesses with rape!' - Mikoto finished with a scream, as she slammed Luan into the barrier once again, shattering it and bringing them back into the normal world, as she let go of him before flashing away with Hirenkyaku.
"For such blasphemy, you will watch as your entire Familia is dismantled by his majesty and my comrades" - Mikoto said, as a sphere suddenly appeared around Luan, causing him to seemingly float in the air.
"W-what is this?"
"That is one of the many abilities of my Schrift, The Jail. I put you in a transparent sphere which allows you to see the outside world whilst the people in the outside world are unable to see, hear, or sense you whilst you are in that sphere." - Mikoto said, a smug smirk appearing on her face.
"Now watch, as everyone you care about is torn apart." - She finished, as in desperation, Luan swung his short sword down as hard as possible in an attempt to break the barrier, only to notice that his sword shattered upon contact, as he looked at his now shattered sword, a mixture of disbelief and despair appearing on his face.
"It's not you, nothing can break this barrier except for his and her majesty, as this is a spiritual barrier, all physical and magic attacks will either shatter or disperse when coming into contact with it." - Mikoto said, as Luan fell to his knees, only one thought came into his mind.
'It's all over.'
Scene Change: With Bell and and Hyakinthos
2 blurs could be seen moving around the now broken castle, sparks flying everywhere, as Bell and Hyakinthos were locked in a tight struggle, the former with small scuffs and scratches on his person, the ladder having much more serious injuries, as his body was littered with cuts, the majority of which was on his arms and torso, as well as having a large bruise starting to form on his abdomen, which was oh so kindly given to him by Bell who landed an Argonaut enhanced punch.
"You're starting to slow down a little, what's wrong? Getting tired?" - Bell questioned, a small and malevolent grin appearing on his face. But he was soon forced to backstep as in a sudden burst of speed, Hyakinthos lunged at Bell with the intent of slicing him in half, or at the very least, score a deep gash on his abdomen. However, his sword sliced through the air causing his eyes to widen in surprise.
But before he could regain his balance, Bell used Hirenkyaku to appear next to him as he intended to kick him in his side, only for his leg to be caught by Hyakinthos's hand, causing his eyes to widen.
'Impossible.' - Bell thought, as Hyakinthos yanked Bell towards him as he stuck his elbow out which met with Bell's Abdomen, who was barely able to activate Blut Vene in time, but surprisingly, he was still hurt, as it felt like a ball of air was stuck in his stomach.
Before Hyakinthos could continue his onslaught, Bell suddenly flipped backwards, forcing Hyakinthos to let go of his leg, as he suddenly grabbed his short sword with the intent of running the now coughing Bell through, only for his sword to be deflected by Bell's own sword.
Hyakinthos then spun around, intending to once again cleave Bell in two, only for Bell to hold out his sword. But surprisingly to him, the blow was so strong that it caused him to lose his balance, as Hyakinthos used this to his advantage by closing the distance between the 2 and attempting to slash his head off, this however was blocked by Bell who used to flat of his sword to stop it, as he then grabbed Haykinthos's arm, twisting it which caused Hyakinthos to wince in pain, as he then kicked Hyakinthos in his now bruised stomach, causing him to cough up saliva as he was launched backwards before coming to a halt after coming into contact with the castle's outer walls, cracks spreading where he impacted.
Regaining himself, Hyakinthos launched himself off of the wall with speed greater than anything he has shown thus far, catching Bell completely off guard as he returned the punch to the gut that Bell gave him, causing Bell to keel over the instant Hyakinthos's blow landed, as even though he used Blut Vene, the sheer force of the blow sent him flying backwards through the large wall that encompassed the castle, as he regained control of himself midair with Hirenkyaku, before slowly landing on the ground, a drop of blood falling from his mouth as he wiped it away before looking at it and narrowing his eyes.
'What's with this sudden boost of power? I doubt that he has been holding back and suddenly decided to go all out because of all the damage I have done to him. That only leaves 2 options left. It's either some sort of skill or he drank some type of potion that boosts his strength and speed.' - Bell thought, as he saw Hyakintos calmly walking out of the cloud of smoke which was created by Bell crashing through a wall.
"It seems that you're trying to figure out why I am getting stronger, correct?" - Hyakinthos questioned with a cocky smirk, causing Bell to scowl.
"Well, let me enlighten you. Do you know what time it is?" - Hyakinthos questioned, causing Bell to look at the sun, before glancing back down at Hyakinthos.
"It's around 11:55am. Where are you going with this?"
"Haven't you noticed that the more time passes, the more powerful I become?" - Hyakinthos questioned, causing Bell's mind to race at the possibilities.
"You don't seem to be intellectually gifted, so I will spell it out for you. I have a skill called Sunshine, granted to me by Apollo himself. The higher the sun rises, the more powerful I become, reaching my peak in power at noon since that is when the sun is at its highest. I will also be able to stay in this state for as long as I have magic, as after a minute passes after I reach my peak, it will start to eat at my magic to sustain itself until I have a mind down. This is only the 2nd time I have ever been able to activate this skill in the 5 years I have had it, as specific circumstances must be completed in order for this skill to activate." - Hyakinthos said, as small amounts of steam was visibly emanating from his body.
"What would those so called circumstances be then?" - Bell questioned with a raised eyebrow, intrigued by this odd power that Hyakinthos seems to possess. But at the same time, sweat was starting to gather on his forehead,
"How dare you interrogate me! But because I am so generous, I shall tell you only because I want to." - Hyakinthos said, causing Bell to snort in amusement.
"The first circumstance is that I must be directly under the sun, as in I have to be on the surface and can't be in the dungeon, as the sun doesn't reach the inside of the dungeon." - He started, as more steam started to form around his body, creating a cloak of heat of sorts.
"The second circumstance is that I need to activate it before noon, otherwise it won't activate at all." - He continued, as flickers of flames could be seen lingering around his body because of the sheer heat he was emanating, as a sizzling could be heard as the air suddenly became a lot dryer.
"The third circumstance is that I need to be fighting someone either as strong or stronger than me." - He continued, as his eyes were lit ablaze in fire, the screens that were made by magic so the viewers could view what was happening including the one the deities were using, shattered, due to the sheer heat emanating from Hyakinthos. All except for a one which was further away from the battle, which just so happened to be the screen that the Loki Familia executives were using, as everyone became outraged. Including the deities, except for the more rash gods that were desperately trying to fix the problem, as this was the climax of the battle.
"The 4th circumstance being that I must feel not just a want, but a need to win." - Hyakinthos continued, as the flickering flames that were around his body started to fully stabilize as they flowed around him in some type of aura.
"The 5th and final circumstance is that I must be committed to killing my opponent, no matter the cost." - Hyakinthos finished, as in a yellow flash, appeared in front of Bell before slamming his fist in Bell's gut, sending him flying through a pile of debris, before slamming into a large stone pillar.
Before Bell could recover, Hyakinthos once again charged at him, this time with his sword, attempting to decapitate Bell, as Bell tried to parry the blow but failed to predict the fact that Hyakinthos was now on a far higher level of power then he was previously, so it wasn't surprising that he was sent flying after parrying the blow.
"My name is love, precious child of light." - Hyakinthos began chanting, whilst rushing Bell before trying to slice his right arm, creating a huge crash even though he activated Blut Vene, his blood evaporating before it even hit the ground because of the sheer heat emitting from Hyakinthos.
"I offer my body to my sun." - He continued. Before kicking Bell in the head, causing his vision to blur..
'Concurrent chanting as well? That's a skill only a small percentage of mages possess and takes years to master.' - Bell thought, as he tried to block the follow up attack, but failed, as he was pierced through his shoulder by Hyakinthos, his would cauterising around the blade, as Hyakinthos pulled out his sword, and once again slashing at Bell who could only try to parry, but was overpowered instantly and was set off balance, as Hyakinthos quickly kicked him in his chest, sending him into the air.
"My name is Sin, Jealousy of the wind." - Hyakinthos then jumped into the air at the airborne Bell, before slamming his now closed fists against Bell's back, sending him flying back into the ground, creating a large crater.
"I call a gust of wind to my body" - Hyakinthos then landed directly on top of the now battered form of Bell, causing him to cough up blood, as Hyakinthos then tried to stab Bell through the chest. Knowing that he couldn't defend against the attack with his power, he jumped away, only for Hyakinthos to grab his ankle and slam him back into the ground, causing another crater to form as air was forcefully removing Bell's lungs, causing him to gasp for air.
Bell in a desperate attempt to free himself, used his other leg to kick Hyakinthos's arm in an attempt to make him let go of his ankle, which was now scorched because of the flame surrounding Hyakinthos, which he succeeded in doing. He then got up and used Hirenkyaku to make some distance between the 2 of them.
"This isn't good, Bell is taking a beating, and what is that fiery aura anyway? I have never seen such magic before. Do you have any idea, Riviera?" - Finn questioned, causing Ais's eyes to narrow, slightly worried for Bell after seeing how he was being battered around like a tennis ball.
"I have no idea, we have nothing about such an ability in the library, and trust me, I would know since I have read all of the books related to magic in that library, and I wouldn't forget such a strong magic." - Riviera replied, causing Tiona to bite her lip in nervousness, as she was unable to help.
"Well whatever, it doesn't seem to be as simple as boosting his status and abilities like Ais;s magic, it seems to be something different entirely." - Finn said after glancing at Ais, noticing her frown, but deciding to keep silent.
Back on the battlefield, we see Hyakinthos Pointing raise his hand, his palm facing the sky.
"Release ring of fire, come." - Hyakinthos finished his chant, as a ring of fire appeared above his hand, as he seemingly threw it at Bell, who narrowed his eyes before sidestepping the attack, the sound of fire humming, flying by him.
Before he could question the point of the attack, he heard that same wizzing sound as he looked up, widening his eyes as he did so, as he noticed to ring of flyer flying towards him at insane speeds, as he jumped forward in an attempt to dodge it, which he seemingly succeeded in doing.
"Wind of the west, Rupele." - Hyakinthos said, as right before the flying ring of fire impacted against the ground mere feat behind Bell, it suddenly exploded into flames, as Bell was lifted off his feet and went rocketing towards Hyakinthos, who pulled his fist back before launching his fist forward with impacted against Bell's chest, who was rocketing towards him, causing a multitude of Bell's ribs to crack as he coughed up blood, but instead of being sent flying away, he simply fell over in a heap, unconscious, his skin slowly scorching under the intense heat of Hyakinthos who was only feet away as he wasn't able to use his Blut whilst unconscious.
Hyakinthos then grabbed Bell by the hair, before slowly lifting his head, his face now red raw because of the heat, to which Hyakinthos scowled at before, cutting off his long white hair, which was now as long as it was in canon although a lot more disheveled.
Before Bell could fall over yet again, Hyakinthos grabbed him by the collar of his trench coat, before squatting down and jumping into the air, whilst simultaneously using the flames around him to chanel below him to help propel him through the air, now almost 75 meters in the air, Bell opened his eyes in a blur, his clothes being lit on fire as he slowly looked at Hyakinthos who adorned a cocky smirk.
"It's over Little Rookie, I've won." - Hyakinthos said as he suddenly dropped Bell, who began descending towards the floor at insane speeds, his form being lit on fire, as he eventually crashed into the nearby forest, an explosion of fire happening where he landed as a massive crater could be seen.
Seeing that his fight was over, Hyakinthos simply smirked as if this battle was decided before it began, as he started descending at a much slower speed then Bell by using his flames to counteract the effects of him falling.
When his feet hit the ground, he began walking slowly towards the crater in which he crash landed, seeing the prone form of Bell, his body still on fire.
With a smirk, now knowing he was victorious, he was interested to go back to the destroyed castle to declare his victory, when he suddenly heard a voice behind him.
"I have greatly underestimated you. However, this whole time, I have been fighting with my eyes closed." - The voice said as Hyakinthos spun around, only for shock to overtake him as Bell was slowly rising to his feet, seemingly unbothered by the flames coating his body.
"How are you still alive!? No one below level 7 should be able to survive something like that!" - Hyakinthos question went unanswered, which although irritated him, also concerned him, a voice in the back of his head telling him to stay on guard,
"It's time for me to take action." - Bell said, as he stood straight up, a huge irruption of blue and white Spiritual Energy erupting from him caused the ground to shake, as Hyakinthos widened his eyes in shock.
As the energy slowly started to fade, Bell could be seen with a White cloak of sorts covering his body, as blue flames of his energy would periodically come off of it, his pupils split into 3 as he gazed at Hyakinthos. As he stood there, his cloak of energy slowly began to fade.
"It's about time he took this seriously and quit fooling around." - Ais said as she had a small smile of relief on her face, causing everyone of the Loki Familia executives to give her a questioning look, to which looked at them blankly, before looking back at the screen.
"Bell-no Yhwach has finally decided to take this seriously." - Ais said, causing Finn to raise an eyebrow with curiosity.
"Well the beating he just took says otherwise." - Finn said as he looked back at the screen, only to blink in confusion before shock overtook him, as faster then he could follow, Bell appeared behind Hyakinthos and put his palm on his back, the heat of Hyakinthos's flames doing absolutely nothing to Bell, as an explosion of his Spiritual energy and reishi erupted from his palm, sending Hyakinthos flying into the middle of the crater in which Bell was previously, who now had a shocked expression as he slowly rolled onto his back to gaze at Bell, whose weird aura was now completely gone, the only difference from before being that instead of 1 Pupil, he now had 3, as well as having a suppressing aura that seemed to make the very surroundings submit to him.
"This whole fight, Yhwach has been fighting with his eyes closed. But now he has opened his eyes. Yhwach is now fighting with his true power." - Ais began, as Hyakinthos suddenly rushed at Bell once again intending to run him through with his sword, only for Bell to once again teleport behind him quicker than anyone could follow. As he shoved his sword, which was now coated in Reishi, into Hyakinthos's gut, causing him to cough up blood, as Bell pulled his sword back out, the wound on Hyakinthos's stomach searing itself closed because of his flames.
"His ability is being able to see the future. Along with the fact that anything he can see with his eyes cannot be used to kill him." - Ais said, causing Riveria, Gareth, and Riveria's eyes to widen in shock, knowing that Ais is not capable of keeping secrets and is terrible at lying. As for Tiona, she was simply sparkly eyed at the power Bell held, not even thinking about the fact that Ais could either be miss informed or how dangerous this ability is. However, the same could not be said for Leyfia, Tione, and especially Bete.
"I highly doubt that. Ais is probably just misinformed and believed every word Argonaut told him, although his imagination is certainly admirable." - Tione said with a nod of her head, as she did not harbor any ill feelings towards the white haired man, quite the opposite in fact, but her eyes were still focused on her captain.
"HAH, you want to believe that a weak bunny brat could have such an ability? Get real Ais, he's nothing but a fraud, he probably said this to you in an attempt to impress you, knowing that the truth is that he stands no against a man like me." - Bete said with a snarl, having a genuine dislike for the rabbit and the fact that he was so 'weak'.
"A filthy human having such a strong ability, impossible! No mere human could possess such a strong skill, he is nothing but an ordinary man who only relies on their baser instincts and is unable to control themselves! I refuse to believe or acknowledge that he of all people could have such a power! He is nothing but a fil-" - Leyfia yelled in a mixture of hate and denial, but was cut off by Ais who coldly looked at both her and Bete.
"Stop talking about him like that." - Ais said in a monotone voice that held no emotion.
"And what's the deal with you calling him Yhw, Ywha, Yahweh or whatever?" - Tiona asked in confusion and curiosity leaking from her voice, causing Ais, Riviera, Gareth, and Fin to sweatdrop at her bad pronunciation.
"I am calling him Yhwach, you pronounce it as (Yuhabaha)." - Ais said, causing Tiona to smile with glee.
"Yhwach huh? Pretty cool!" - Tiona said, as she looked back at the screen, watching the current conflict between Hyakinthos and Bell, who is apparently also named Yhwach, with excitement.
"Where did this come from, what did you do?" - Hyakinthos questioned with a cough, trying to recover, as Bell stared at him as if he were talking to a lost child.
"Didn't I tell you? I said I have been fighting with my eyes closed, so I simply opened them. Now that I have opened them, I can see each step you take, as well as know what you are going to do next and change it accordingly, allowing me to change the outcome and avoid damage." - Bell said, answering his question very vaguely to which Hyakinthos caught the hint, as he raised an eyebrow.
"You want me to believe you have some sort of foresight? Get real here little rookie, you only caught me off guard, miracles only happen once, after all, they-"
"Are called miracles for a reason, that is what you were about to say, right?" - Bell finished for Hyakinthos, causing Hyakinthos's eyes to widen in disbelief.
"H-h-how did you'd-do that?" - Hyakinthos questioned, his voice slightly shaky with unease, as Bell raised an eyebrow, folding his arms as he nodded his head.
"Ahh, I see. You're in a state of denial, aren't you? I get it, I truly do, after all, it is a human's most basic response to something they thought impossible, even though it is happening before their own eyes." - Bell questioned as Hyakinthos gritted his teeth in anger, as his fists began to shake with rage, his fiery aura growing around him and nearly melting the surroundings at a rapid rate.
"SHUT UP!" - He yelled in fury, as he charged at Bell, intending to run him through, only for his sword to be deflected by a Heilig Pfeil which was created in the air. As Bell put his palm on his face, the familiar lines of Blut Vene extended from his hand and onto Hyakinthos's face, as he was raised into the sky by a pillar of reishi that felt like he was being torn apart.
Only a second later, Bell created multiple Heilig Bogen around Hyakinthos after dissipating his reishi column, as they all shot arrows at Hyakinthos who tried his best to block and dodge them, but did not succeed in avoiding getting hit by all, as multiple cuts could be seen on his body, which quickly cauterised by the flames surrounding him.
Bell then erupted with his spiritual energy surrounding him, as he rushed at the airborne Hyakinthos and kicked him towards the ground and launched a Heilig Pfeil at him, causing his descent to speed up as well as receiving additional damage.
Groaning in pain, Hyakinthos tried to get up, only for Bell to seemingly teleport on top of him, planting his foot on Hyakinthos's chest, pushing him back down to the ground.
Hyakinthos then smirked, as he grabbed Bell's ankle as the heat of his flames intensified, as he intended on melting Bell's legs, but for some reason, it did absolutely nothing.
Before Hyakinthos questioned why his ability isn't working, Bell punted Hyakinthos in his side, breaking a couple ribs as well as damaging his liver causing the air to be knocked out of him, leaving Hyakinthos a gasping mess as Bell grabbed him by the hair before shooting a firebolt as his head, causing his hair to be lit on fire which although was quickly dissipated by Hyakinthos's own flames, it was enough to badly chisel a large portion of his hair.
"That was for giving me a haircut earlier, hope you like the new look, it suits you." - Bell said with a smirk as Hyakinthos opened his mouth to respond, only to find that a fist was forcefully inserted into his mouth, as he was sent flying away causing him to crash through multiple trees before crashing against a massive boulder which had a massive indent, inside of which was Hyakinthos who was gasping for air.
Deciding that he was done playing around, he started to chant.
"My name is love, precious child of light. I offer my body to my sun. My name is sin, jealousy of wind. I call a gust of wind to my body. Released ring of fire - come." - Hyakinthos finished, as he crawled out of the Boulder before raising both of his hands up, as 2 disks of fire appeared in his hands which he slowly started to combine, creating a large sphere of fire. Bell, seeing the attack from a distance, flashed 50 meters in front of Hyakinthos, before standing still, as he watched Hyakinthos with a stern look, before letting out a sigh of annoyance.
"It's all useless…" - Bell said, as a vein on Hyakinthos's forehead bulge to comedic proportions, not only because of the anger of Bell's insult at his most powerfully attack, but also because of the strain creating this attack put on his body and the focus he needed to create it.
"Then let's see if this is useless!" - Hyakinthos yelled, as he threw the attack at Bell who instead of dodging or blocking, simply stood there, taking the attack head on. A huge explosion covered the area, the only thing left that was of notice was a large amount of smoke hanging in the air.
After his attack landed, Hyakinthos burst into a fit of crazed laughter, believing it was finally over until he heard footsteps coming towards him, causing his laughter to come to a halt as the footsteps came to a halt, revealing Bell who didn't even have a scratch on him.
"T-that's n-n-not possible!" - Hyakinthos yelled in fear, as he started to back away, but couldn't do so any further, as he came to a stop against the giant boulder, Bell slowly walking towards him before being only 15 feet away from him, all the while chastising Hyakinthos for his false hope.
"DIdn't I already tell you? All that I see with my eyes is useless against me. Your spell was never going to work from the moment you thought about using it, and even before that." - Bell said, causing Hyakinthos's eyes to widen in recognition, as he grit his teeth before gripping his sword once more and charging at Bell.
"YOU BASTARD! I AM GOING TO END YOU BELL CRANEL!" - Hyakinthos yelled, rushing Bell with the intent to run him through as Bell spoke.
"My name is Yhwach. I am the one who will take everything from you." - Bell said, as his palm faced Hyakinthos, as Hyakinthos's torso suddenly blew up, his now detached limbs and head being the only sign of what he once was as they were leaking blood and were covered in his organs, as the boulder behind him blew up with him, sending shards of rock flying in all directions.
And with that the Hestia Familia won.
