Lyarra Targaryen

Lyarra watched from her bench as Robb and Bran instructed their brother Cregan on shooting a bow. Robb Stark. The heir to Winterfell but he is something else as well to her. He is her cousin and for some time now, her husband. Grabbing a strand of hair lightly, she looked at its silver coloring marking her trait as a Targaryen along with her amethyst eyes. Her situation with the Kingdoms is very dangerous so she had to be intelligent and careful.

Lyarra Targaryen Stark, true born daughter of Rhaegar Targaryen and his second wife Lyanna Stark. Named after her grandmother Lyarra Stark, she has some features of her mother and her father's coloring. She was born during the rebellion which ended with the death of King Aerys and her parents. The King now being Robert Baratheon was enraged that his love married Rhaegar and died giving birth to her.

In his rage he demanded her death which finally got Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell to snap.

"She is my niece. My last connection to Lyanna and one of the last of my blood. I lost my father and brother to King Aerys. My mother to heartbreak and my sister to Rhaegar. You dare to take more of my blood from me!" roared Eddard in rage at Robert shocking the crowd.

"You will have to kill me before I let you do such a thing" he added drawing his valyrian steel sword Ice from its sheath as the Northerns done the same, agreeing with him. One person also did the same to the surprise of many. Aruthur Dayne who drew both of his swords. He had sworn to protect her for Rhaegar. Something that also angered the Kingdom of Dorne.

Jon Aryn the new King's Hand had stepped in before the two sides came to blows starting a new war. To settle the matter and maintain the fragile peace they created, an agreement was made.

Lyarra Targaryen would marry Eddard Stark's first-born son. Which was Robb Stark, the moment they are both of age.

With the agreement finalized, peace was fully established. Eddard Stark with Lyarra and Arthur went to the North and they were greeted by the newborn Robb Stark. Time had passed on and even when she bled signaling her maturity, the marriage was pushed off. The worries of her mother Lyanna, grandmother Rhaella, and her sister-mother Elia pregnancies came to mind. They didn't want to risk the chance of losing her by giving birth so young. So, it was agreed upon to push the marriage back a few years until recently.

Growing up with Robb allowed for her to bond easily with him and in return love him. Raised like his father she saw that he would be an amazing Lord. Maybe even better than the many that came before.

Now while living here, she didn't just sit there and look pretty silently. While yes, she was quiet, she also knew that she would be the future Lady of Winterfell. She needed to know how to run the House and all of the North. Which she did. She sat in with all of her uncle's meetings and her aunt Lady Catelyn taskings to learn all she could from them both. She could take over for both if ever necessary which they both agreed that to be true.

But she didn't stop there. She looked over the lands and begun her own investigations. She wanted to improve her homeland and while she couldn't inspect the areas alone, she had other methods. With Robb's agreement the two petition to her uncle for them to go on a tour of the North to understand and see their lands more. Agreeing and sending them off with a large guard, they visited numerous locations to meet the Lords, the people, and see the lands.

With their tour complete, she made numerous of plans before bringing them to her uncle to look over. He was pleasantly surprised to see her bring the plans to his solar for him, his wife, and Robb to look over. Explaining the improvements she showed them step by step with phase 1.

The kingdom needed a lot more gold to do any improvements so that was the first step. What was something the North had in abundance that was harder to get in other locations.

Stone and wood.

So, she proposed making a trade deal with Esso's. It would be difficult because stone and wood were heavy things to transport so it would be sent in small amounts. But the merchants and rulers would jump at the opportunity. Eddard thought this would be a good learning opportunity for her and Robb, so he allowed this part of the plan to go through first under his watchful eye. If it succeeds, then the others can follow.

And it did.

They jumped at the offer and now ships were being sent from White Harbor to Essos carrying their goods with them making a good profit in return. Mining the stone in some locations led to the discovery of something very valuable. Copper, Silver, and gold. Large veins of these hidden in the North just waiting to be discovered.

With the gold gained from the trading, mines were built to harvest them and bring in the amount of gold equal to what the Lannister's in Westerlands brought in. In just a short amount of time they were becoming one of the richest kingdom's and with the funds it brought the 2nd phase could start.

The Greyjoy rebellion was still fresh on the North's mind and steps needed to be token to fix things. This was the preparation phase. With the gold they acquired they repaired and created new roads in the North allowing for the new deal they were creating with the Reach to go through smoothly.

The deal was the purchasing of large amounts of seeds, food, and glass gardens. The North always struggled with food. The purchase of food fed them now and allowed for some to have in storage. The seeds gave them the ability to make more food for the future and the glass gardens allowed for them to grow food in cold climate. But it didn't end there.

Creating another deal but this time with the Nightwatch who were men that guarded the Kingdoms at The Wall from wildlings, to purchase the Grift from them. In return they would use the fertile lands there to grow food and send a portion to supply the Nightwatch with food. The lands of The Grift were warm enough to grow food without the need for Glass Gardens. They also promised to repair some of their castles in the future. Knowing Eddard's honor, the Lord Commander accepted as the land did little for them.

The next phase was the rebuilding. With the gold and food secured, the next thing to do was to rebuild the North's Fleet. Hiring carpenters and master builders the ships were built with the goal of guarding The North from pirates, raiders, and any future Greyjoy incursion. They also crafted a new type of ship for dual purposes. The Galleasses. The ship was made to be massive in order to carry a large number of supplies to Esso's for trading but also be a very powerful and heavy man warship.

In addition to rebuilding the fleet, they started rebuilding and improving the castles around the North. They started with Moat Cailin and the castles at the wall fulfilling their promise. Then expanded to other areas.

Some locations were still being worked on, but she is just happy and lucky that the North holds a massive population to work all of these new jobs. With these plans working out the North has been restored and became stronger than it was before in a long time thanks to her and Robb.

The North liked her and claimed her to be one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful woman in the seven kingdoms. After all of this, they practically love her and worship the ground she stands on, much to her embarrassment. She has put in a lot of hard work for the people and her lands which is why she is sitting here relaxing along with another reason.

Pregnancy. She knew it was only a matter of time as well. Her uncle and aunt practically demanded that she take a break. Something she greatly enjoyed now that the growing baby started taking more of her energy.

Looking over the black fur cloak around her shoulders, she could see her guards there. The knight Ser Arthur Dayne who was standing there in a relax but ready position and the two other guards who sat very much close to her on the ground. These guards being no other than a pair of pure white dire wolves. Winter and Ghost, a female and male respectfully were part of a litter that they found after her uncle executed a deserter. Her younger cousins and Robb each got one but for some reason these two latched onto her and formed a bond.

Animals were thing that caught her attention and connection. For some reason forming connections and taking care of animals came to her as natural as breathing. So, she took to raising and learning more about animals as a hobby. Something Robb encouraged and even got her a few for gifts. It also helped that she could control the other dire wolves from some strange reason.

This bond and control were a new experience as she could feel their presence, what they were feeling, and she was sure they could do the same. Robb noticed the same for him and his dire wolf Grey Wind but something everyone noticed was the difference between her dire wolves and the others. Hers were growing faster and larger than the others. They were approaching the height of a horse while the only one who was a few steps behind was Grey Wind. Some believe it's because of a fusion of magic being that she is a Targaryen and a Stark, but she knew better than to entertain that idea.

Turning back to Robb she watched as he whispered a few things to his younger brother Bran, who was helping the youngest sibling Cregan Stark, aim at a target with a bow and stepped back. He was having bet with his twin brother Rickon on who was the better teacher. The twins were something of a mystery as Bran had black hair while Rickon had brunette. They were born right after Robb but before Sansa. The two were trained by Ser Arthur himself like Robb. Being raised with the dreams of being knights to protect the princess (Lyarra) made them aspire to be like Arthur who took them under his mentorship. It also helped that a certain princess helped look after them when they were young, unintentionally turning the two into her guards. A position they happily accepted.

Robb moved back with Bran to watch as he was now next to Rickon and Theon Greyjoy, Lord Eddard's ward or to some political hostage. She personally did not like Theon with his lecherous nature, but she just barely tolerated him for Robb as they were like brothers. As long as he keeps his tendencies away from her and from corrupting her cousins.

Cregan released his arrow at the target but ended up missing completely to Robb's, Rickon's, and Theon's laugher as Brandon rubbed his face embarrassed.

"And who hit the target at his age?" questioned a commanding voice revealing it to be an amused Eddard with Catelyn by his side on the balcony.

No one answer that question as none of them faired any differently. Eddard gave Cregan the nod to go ahead and shoot again. Aiming with a new arrow, just as he was going to release another arrow hit the target making him stop. Looking to where the arrow came, everyone saw the youngest sister Arya lower her bow from the aim, standing at the deck. She gave a smile and a bow before running off as Cregan chased after her.

Everyone laughed at the sight as a Maester walked up to Eddard and handed him a letter. Looking at the seal on it, he saw it was from King's Landing. He had a feeling what it was for as he recently got word of the passing of the King's Hand, Jon Aryn.

"Ned" whispered Catelyn seeing the letter and stamp.

"Robb, Lyarra" he spoke up gaining the two's attention. "My solar" and with that he walked off with Catelyn.

Hearing the command Robb said his goodbye to Theon who started cleaning up and walked off to Lyarra. Softly grabbing her outstretch hand, he helped her up and gave her a kiss.

"Do you know the reason he asked for us?" she questioned as he shook his head no.

"Maester gave him something, but I don't know what" he answered. Lyarra turning to the side to look at Arthur with a questioning look.

"I don't know either my princess but with the recent news, it may have to deal with the passing of Lord Jon Aryn" he answered which made some sense. "Let's not keep the Lord waiting. I'm sure he will answer your question."

"He's right. Let us go my princess" smiled Robb looping his arms with hers and leading the way as Winter and Ghost followed her closely and Grey Wind followed him. Artur, Brandon, and Rickon followed behind them. "Those two always follow you so closely" he remarked looking at the dire wolves.

"They do, but it's been even more since I became pregnant. I actually think they knew I was pregnant before me" she reasoned.
