Tweek and Craig usually liked to walk home from school together. As the bell rang and students pooled out rushing to leave for the afternoon, they would find each other and Craig would walk Tweek home before heading home himself. Not that Tweek couldn't take care of himself, but he just felt more calm around Craig, and Craig liked to make sure Tweek got home safe.
Today, holding hands after they were a little ways out where no other kids were around them anymore, Tweek turned to Craig with a concerned expression.
"Craig? Can I ask you something?"
Craig glanced at Tweek, still making sure to pay attention to where they were going. "What is it?"
Tweek tugged at his shirt. "I was just thinking…remember when you and Cartman were picking on Butters for not kissing anyone?"
"…Yeah?" Craig answered, not sure where this was going.
"I was just wondering…have you actually kissed someone before?" Tweek asked timidly.
Craig's face flushed at the question. "W-why are you asking me now?" he replied in a defensive tone. "And hey you were there too!"
"I actually never kissed anyone.." Tweek replied, tugging on his hair. "I was just there hoping nobody would find out."
"Oh…" Craig stopped walking and faced Tweek. "Well…you know Lola?"
"She's one of Wendy's friends on the cheer squad, right?" Tweek replied. "Long brown hair and headband?"
Craig nodded. "She was kinda my girlfriend for a while and, well.."
Tweek's face fell. "So, you're not gay?"
"No, no I'm pretty sure I am," Craig immediately replied defensively. "I mean…I like you, I just, I dunno I felt kinda pressured and I thought having a girlfriend would make me seem cooler. But yeah, I kissed her once. It didn't really mean anything I just kinda felt like I had to and she wanted to and, y'know."
Tweek stared at Craig for a second before asking, "would- would you ever want to kiss me?"
The question made Craig's heart flip and Tweek almost immediately regretted it. "OH GOD I'M SORRY I MADE EVERYTHING AWKWARD DIDN'T I?" Tweek exclaimed, tugging on his hair. "I never should've even said anything oh god I-"
"Tweek." Craig grabbed Tweek's hands and looked him in the eyes.
"I've been wanting to kiss you forever. I was just afraid of freaking you out."
Tweek's eyes widened and his face reddened. "You- me- you wa-" He couldn't even for words.
"Tweek." Craig interrupted bluntly. "Can I kiss you?"
"Y-yes" Tweek squeaked.
They shut their eyes and leaned in, leaving a small quick peck on the lips.
"That was-" Tweek stammered.
"Dude," Craig said. "Your lips are really soft."
"CRAIGGG" Tweek blushed, giving Craig a shove. Craig snickered.
They continued walking until they arrived at Tweek's house.
"So…" Craig began. "See you later honey," he planted a quick kiss on Tweek's cheek before running off.
Tweek stood there in awe, putting a hand to his cheek. "See you…later."
He didn't even notice his parents watching from the window.
"They're so gay." Richard said.
