Here it is, the sixty-fifth full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released at the set time I promised each week. Not much to really say here, the real world is still keeping me to one a week though with the NFL season now over and a few less busy weekends who knows, I may get more done for surprises but there will always be a weekly chapter short of serious situations. Anyway, that is all the administrative stuff I have for now though and as there are no review questions to answer or guest reviews to respond to I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. Now, though, it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 65th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Chapter 65: Starting the Second Semester

"What!" Almost the entire class exclaimed as the reached the common room in their school uniforms and learned why they were seeing what they were seeing.

It was the morning after the licensing exam and the start of the second semester and the entire class had come down to find the strange sight of Midoriya and Bakugo, both noticeable bandaged and clearly battered, cleaning up the common room. That was when they learned what had happened the night before. No one had realized that Bakugo and Midoriya had left the dorm, though the three with Mage did know something had happened given how abruptly they were dismissed, and now they were learning the truth, or at least part of the truth.

"You guys threw down?" Mina asked shocked by the revelation that the rivals had actually had a full-scale brawl with each other on Ground Beta and were now being punished for it. "Seriously? Why?"

"And now you're under house arrest?" Toru asked just as shocked though neither boy gave a reason for why they'd fought, not that the class needed one as they'd all seen the enmity that Bakugo bore Midoriya though not the reason for it. "Ribbit, that wasn't smart."

"Hilarious." Kaminari said at the revelation.

"Très tragique." Aoyama added.

"Huh, what does that mean?" Mina asked looking at the eccentric half French boy. "Seriously, Marinette and Agreste don't randomly intersperse French into their words, why do you have to Aoyama?"

"Because I must sparkle." Aoyama said giving Mina a pose and not answering the question at all.

"It means very tragic." Marinette translated for Mina who was still confused, the differences between French and Japanese such that it couldn't be guessed as easily as someone who spoke English or Spanish natively might be able to do. "And it is, they will miss some important things for sure."

"You're both morons." Sero pointed out, which was the truth. "And right after that whole speech about almost getting expelled before we moved it, well Midoriya at least as Bakugo wasn't one of us liable for that."

"The pinnacle of stupidity." Tokoyami said in his usual tone, his more archaic style really adding to the statement and causing Bakugo to growl in annoyance. "The pair of them."

"So did you guys make up after?" Ochaco asked Deku, the only one seemingly worried about him and what happened. "Or…"

"Well, it wasn't that we made up exactly." Izuku said pausing his vacuuming for a moment as he thought about what had actually happened, how Kacchan had deduced the truth behind Izuku's Quirk, their fight, and All Might's arrival to explain everything thus adding Kacchan into the circle of those in the know about One for All. "It's kinda hard to put into words but things are hopefully heading in the right direction."

"You two are lucky that you got away with house arrest." Ida said sternly interrupting Izuku and chopping the air as he spoke. "Though this does mean you will miss the opening ceremony that we are going to now."

"Bakugo, what about our extra classes?" Todoroki asked and now thoroughly pissed off Bakugo. "Will this affect it?"

"Shut up Icy-Hot, this has nothing to do with you!" Bakugo roared as he began to vacuum harder. "And no, I'll be done with this bullshit before the lessons begin."

"Well thanks for cleaning up." Kaminari added to which Bakugo devolved into incoherent growling.

"Alright let's leave." Adrien said trying to usher the class out before Bakugo properly exploded at them. "They know what they did was wrong and are being punished for it, no point in rubbing salt in the wounds."

"Agreste is right, we must leave them to face their punishment." Ida said going into full rep mode. "Come, we must attend the opening ceremony to start the second semester and make up for those two's actions by presenting a unified and disciplined class to the rest of the school."

With that the class left the two under house arrest to their cleaning, and attempts at chatting from Izuku that were at least more productive than usual, and continued on to the opening assembly that would mark the start of their second semester at U.A. It was a new semester and after the excitement of the last one, Class 1-A were certainly interested in seeing how this semester went.

Marinette and Adrien however exchanged a glance as they left and began walking to the main school building. They knew a little more about what had gone down as Mage had texted them that morning with an update as to why he'd sent them away so quickly. All it said was that Bakugo was the instigator and now he knew about Midoriya's Quirk. That could only mean one thing, Bakugo had found out about One for All.

That was something that the pair would have to deal with should the time ever come as their own secret would, when the moment came for Mage to disclose his true nature, be revealed to Midoriya due to him being the current holder of One for All but if Bakugo knew as well then he too would likely be informed. It looked like those in the know might grow soon but they couldn't dwell on that right now, right now they had the opening ceremony and learning what was next in store for them in the coming semester.

The rest of the morning was, well it was different to say the least. The whole opening ceremony thing was something knew to Adrien and Marinette, so they were excited to experience it. Of course, they had to deal with Ida first who was busy trying to get them to walk single file and in correct order to the assembly point in the grounds near the main building while being the only one out of line himself. Something that Sero didn't fail to point out causing Ida to have his usual class rep conundrum.

Of course, this was Class 1-A so not even a simple walk to the shoe lockers and then onto the meeting point for the assembly could be easy. As they were reaching the lockers, they found Neito Monoma of Class 1-B waiting for them.

That was never a good sign and as expected Monoma was there to rub it in that two of their class had failed the exam and then reveal that his whole class had passed it without a single failure. That had gotten to them a bit, though Marinette did point out that that meant that 20 in each class passed to try and deflate Monoma, which it didn't, while Todoroki apologized to everyone again for his failure though they'd already forgiven him.

To cap it all off, Pony Tsunotori, in her still slightly off Japanese, said she was looking forward to the coming semester as they'd have classes together which was going to be exciting and Class 1-A agreed that it would be. It was a rare moment of comradery between the classes, and naturally Kaminari was taken with how adorable the American girl was, until Monoma took that moment to tell her some rather inappropriate Japanese to say to them. That finally got him the neck chop from Kendo, and they were all able to leave for the assembly.

However, before they left they were passed by Hitoshi Shinso leading his fellow Class 1-C students and commenting on how uncool Ida still was. It was strange to see him again and he looked like he'd bulked up a fair bit since the Sports Festival but other than his comment to Ida and telling them to move he ignored them, including Marinette who'd been instrumental in helping him shine in the Sports Festival, which was a little ungrateful, and proceeded onto the assembly. After that the Hero Course first years did as well.

The assembly itself was, well, strange for the French pair as it wasn't what they were used to when one had a school assembly. The whole school minus Midoriya and Bakugo were there and formed up in lines that were done by course and class year with the 3rd years at the front and the first years at the back. They stood in formation in their summer uniforms outside as the Principal addressed them.

Nezu's speech was interesting to say the least. He started by commenting on how his fur wasn't as lustrous as before and that this was due to a lack of sleep, something he encouraged all the students to get more of. He then went on to talk about the new change in the society with All Might's retirement and how they all had to step up. Finally, he ended with a message to the Hero Course students to take part in extra curricular activities like the Hero Work Study Program for 2nd and 3rd years while the first years learned from their seniors about them.

That got the hero course students thinking though a few already knew that the studies were likely going to be opened to them as well. They'd learn more on that front soon but for now they listened to Nezu until he was done and handed over to the extracurricular councilor Hound Dog.

That part of the ceremony didn't actually go as well as Hound Dog, a large man with a mutant Quirk that gave him the appearance of a bipedal dog, something he played into by wearing a muzzle over his mouth and nose, started by talking about the fight two students had the night before but barely got any of it out before he devolved into growling and barking.

It turned out that when Hound Dog got angry or pissed he lost the ability to speak normally, and his Dog Quirk took over. Thankfully, Vlad King was on hand to take over and explain what his friend was going on about showing that he at least could translate Hound Dog's growls and barks.

Class A felt the shame that their classmates had brought on them but at the same time it was annoying that Midoriya and Bakugo were being treated like problem children when they'd been doing so well recently. Still, they just had to deal with it and the whole school was going to use the incident as a way to continue growing as they all got used to the new dorm system.

With that the assembly was over and they were sent back to their homerooms starting with the third years, no one noticing a few of them, mainly a tall, muscular blond boy and a shorter, periwinkle blue haired girl with assets that could rival, if not exceed, Momo's talking about the problem children that had been mentioned. Class 1-A just returned to their classroom to await what Mr. Aizawa had for them to start the semester.

"Ok starting today we will resume our regular classes and training schedule." Mr. Aizawa said to the class once they were back in their classroom and in their seats. "I know that a lot has happened recently, however you need to switch gears and focus on your school duties. We're lecturing today but this semester you'll have even harsher training than before especially now that you have your provisional licenses. On the subject of school duties, Dupain-Cheng, I am sure you are aware of what you are doing after school or training this week."

"Yes sir." Marinette said with a nod as the class whispered about that. "I have accepted my mistake and punishment for what I did, I know that it was wrong and will do as Mr. Power Loader says when I report to him."

"Good, Power Loader is expecting you so be prompt." Mr. Aizawa said cooley hiding his annoyance and shock that the third of his top three students, and someone who wasn't a problem at all save for her habit of exceeding expectations in unpredictable ways, had also managed to not live up to said expectations either. "It is good that you know what you have to do and have accepted responsibility. Don't let it happen again and I know the details, so I know what caused it. I expect you to train twice as hard to make up for this."

"I will sir, it won't happen again." Marinette said seriously trying to avoid sounding awkward at her teacher knowing why she'd tossed Hatsume across a room, twice. "I'll learn from this for both normal and field work."

"What did she do?" Mina whispered to Tsu trying to process what kind of trouble someone like Marinette could get into and as it seemed that only Marinette was in trouble it wasn't the kind Mina would have loved to hear more about as that would have been with Agreste, and Mina's romantic brain went many places when thinking about that stuff. "And do you think he really means that we will have harsher training this semester?"

"Like to share, Ashido." Mr. Aizawa said his Quirk active as he stared at his student. "I'm sure the whole class would love to know what's on your mind."

"Eep, his ice stare is back." Mina said not looking at it but feeling it run down her spine.

"Excuse me sir, may I ask a question?" Tsu said raising her hand and inadvertently saving Mina in the process.

"If it is about what I just said to Dupain-Cheng then no, ask her yourself on your own time." Mr. Aizawa said. "Otherwise, sure, ask away."

"No, I was wondering what were those things the principal was talking about during the opening ceremony?" Tsu asked, she would talk to Marinette later about why she seemed to be in trouble with Mr. Power Loader, but she was sure the French girl had a reason and she'd clearly accepted it, so it wasn't a priority right now. "I've never heard the term Hero Work Studies before."

"I know right." Sero said looking back at Tokoyami. "That had me pretty confused."

"I also have concerns." Tokoyami said seriously. "They sound important."

"He said that they're something the upperclassmen participate in, correct?" Momo asked trying to get some more information seeing as she knew that they would likely be offered to first year students as well given the offer she'd received the night before from Mage. "But what about us? We do have our provisional licenses now so surely we too will be offered a chance to participate in them."

"I was planning on talking about those on a later date." Mr. Aizawa said with a sigh. "But I guess telling you now is more logical though I will wait until Midoriya is back to go into more detail. To put it simply, it's work outside of class. It will be like the internships you did at pro hero agencies before only much closer to the real thing."

That got the class's attention right away. Most hadn't heard of them before and were trying to process what it meant. The first one to manage it was Ochaco and that gave her a realization that caused her to shoot up and out of her seat, her hand in the air talking before called upon.

"Wait, then why did we work so hard at the Sports Festival?" Ochaco asked. "If these were an option as well, what was the point of all that effort?"

"She has a point." Ida said his own confusion at all this growing with his friend's remark. "Those of us who weren't scouted at the Sports Festival still have career paths with these work studies."

"You've got to calm down." Sato said to Ochaco as she proceeded to devolve into a worried mess. "You're acting kinda nuts."

"This doesn't make sense." Ochaco said not hearing Sato as her worry took over.

"You'll be using your connections from the Sports Festival to secure a work study." Mr. Aizawa said simply and calmly as he tried to reassure his student. "It's basic networking. Remember though, this isn't part of your normal classwork, it's discretionary for each student and completely optional at the moment. Though that does means that those who weren't scouted at the Sports Festival will have a hard time lining one up I'm afraid. Originally individual agencies recruited on their own but there was a lot of competition as people tried to recruit U.A. students, so this is how things ended up. Good enough Uraraka?"

"Yes, I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions, sir." Ochaco said bowing her head and sitting down thinking on what she could do to get a work study and a good one at that.

"Now that you have your provisional licenses you can assist in real ways for longer periods of time." Aizawa continued getting back on topic. "Until now there hasn't been many first years who've received their licenses. With the increase activity of villains, we are currently pursuing the idea that you could participate in work studies as well with a few trusted agencies already in contact about it. We'll explain more about the work study positions and what that program entails at a later date but for now we have other things to worry about. That's all, sorry to keep you waiting Mic."

"First period is English." Present Mic roared enthusiastically as he opened the door officially signaling the end of the topic as normal classes resumed. "It's been an age since I stood on the stage, ya miss me? We got a lot to cover today so let's get going with it, ya dig?"

With that regular classes started up again, and the semester began in earnest. Of course, after such a start to the day there was more on the students' minds then just normal school work but that would have to wait for the right time.

The rest of the day went by uneventfully with a morning of regular classes that seemed even harder than before followed by a hero lecture rather than training. With that over, most of the rest of the class returned to the dorm with the exception of Marinette who bade them farewell as she headed off to change into her sports kit and begin her week of punishment.

She'd explained earlier to anyone who asked, mainly all the girls though Momo asking was more a cover as she already knew but it would look suspicious otherwise, that what she was being reminded of was her detention with Mr. Power Loader for the week. That surprised everyone until she explained how she'd gotten it and they understood it with Tsu pointing out how dumb it was and Mina gushing at how romantic it was. Now she had changed and was heading to report to the Design Studio for her punishment.

Back at the dorm, some of the class, mainly Sero and Mineta, were inspecting the dorm to make sure that Bakugo and Midoriya had done a good job in their own punishment and being really anal about it with any dirt they found. Naturally Bakugo blamed it on Midoriya which was actually true as he was too meticulous with his own cleaning to miss any dirt and Midoriya did apologize for it as Bakugo yelled at him.

Midoriya also reminded everyone to bring their trash down so that he could take it out for them as part of his punishment though no one really listened. Instead, they spent more time complaining about the classes that day and how lost they were in them, especially in English. Then there were the talks about something called work studies that others in the class were discussing in worried tones and Izuku realized that he was completely in the dark, or falling behind as Ida put it when he tried to banter about it though he wasn't very good at it as it didn't work coming from him.

Izuku did try to find out but alas he couldn't as the teachers had forbidden the house arrestees from being told about the classes or work studies. They would have to experience the shock of it themselves when the time came, which caused another outburst from Bakugo when Ida made sure he too understood the situation.

All this was made infinitely worse for Izuku when he left the dorm to throw away the trash and was startled by a face popping out of the wall to give him some advice as to where he could put the trash to make his life easier while he mumbled about how far he'd fall behind in just three days. The guy, that was all Izuku could tell about him in his panic, then vanished into the wall only to pop up on the ground, again face only, to continue talking to him. He let Izuku know that he was being talked about, that he was glad to see Izuku had a fighting spirit, and that he'd soon learn who he was before he vanished.

He didn't return after disappearing the second time though it was all very freaky to Izuku, and he had no idea what had happened. He felt like he'd seen that face before, but he couldn't place it, so he just went back to his punishment and his mumblings.

The next 3 days seemed to crawl by for Izuku while it went by normally the rest of the class, but it ended and Izuku handed in his written apology to Aizawa the night before his house arrest officially ended. Finally, it was over, and he could resume classes with his friends and learn what a work study was. Kacchan still had one day left of house arrest, so he'd have to wait but Izuku was ready to catch up as fast as possible.

"Guys, I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused." Izuku said as he entered the classroom and gave his classmates a short bow of apology steam coming from his nostrils in his intensity.

"No sweat Deku." Ochaco said smiling at him. "Thanks for all your hard work."

"All he did was vacuum." Jiro pointed out not knowing about the incident with Koda's rabbit that Midoriya and Bakugo had dealt with while Mina beamed at her friend as she was now convinced that the person Ochaco had fallen for was Midoriya and she was going to captain that ship personally until it finally launched with both of them on it. "Also, what's with those steam nostrils? That a lot even for you Midoriya."

"Class rep Ida, I'm sorry I disappointed you." Izuku said to his friend his passion still at full volume.

"Right well I'm glad you learned from your mistakes." Ida said back a little unnerved by Midoriya's intensity but otherwise glad that his friend had learned his lesson just as he once had. "Follow the rules from now on."

"I'll catch up on everything I've missed out on these past three days!" Izuku said to the whole class. "I swear it."

"That's the fighting spirit, do it man." Kirishima said grinning at his friend. "Great manly energy there Midoriya."

"Time to take your seats everyone." Mr. Aizawa said from right behind Midoriya having entered and approached without his problem child number 1 noticing causing Midoriya to freak out and everyone to rush to their seats.

"Morning." Aizawa began once everyone was seated as he looked out over his class as it was time to fill them in on the work studies given that all the students with a provisional license were finally present. "Now that Midoriya is back we'll go into more detail about what the work studies entail. Go ahead and come in."

At this the door opened and the class gasped as three students, all 3rd years, walked in. Aizawa ignored their reactions though as he continued his opening spiel.

"I'll have students who have experienced them first hand explain what they are." Aizawa continued and Izuku really paid attention as he recognized the student leading the pack as the one who's face had spoken to him from a wall and the ground on the afternoon of his first day of house arrest. "I suggest you listen closely to what they have to say as they point out how work studies differ from internships. These three are third years at U.A., they rank at the very top of our student body, but you may know them as the Big 3."

Marinette and Adrien could definitely say that the didn't know them at all. They'd not covered this aspect of U.A.'s Hero Course when preparing to enroll as the focus had been their own year though they'd heard the term a few times. However, that was mainly because in their class Marinette was considered one of the four who could be one of their year's Big 3 and arguably the one who was most likely to be one now that she had her provisional and two of the other main contenders had failed.

All that was in the back of her mind right now however as she studied the three before her though if she was honest she barely paid attention to the busty smiling girl with periwinkle blue hair down to her knees and matching eyes or the shy, socially awkward looking dude with spikey indigo hair at the end of the row who was looking at the ground as he walked. That was because the one who'd led them in, a tall muscular blond boy with a few scars on his exposed forearms, had her full attention.

This wasn't because of his confident and strong presence, that she could easily recognize and acknowledge without dwelling on, no it was because his face looked a lot like the fictional character Tintin from the graphic novels by Hergé that all French kids back in her time had read or were at least aware of. Seriously, he looked like a taller, buffer, blonder, and with a greater quaff version of Tintin.

It was honestly rather unsettling, and she knew that Adrien saw it as well judging by his reaction to the boy's arrival. Of course, they couldn't say anything, that literature had been lost like so many other classics from their day, so she just controlled her emotions and got ready to hear what he had to say.

"The best of the hero course." Sero said breaking the silence on the arrival of the Big 3. "What we all strive for while at U.A."

"The Big 3." Kirishima said with reverence, it was something all at U.A. aimed to be a part of but only a few had a shot at and in their year the Big 3 was all but set with 4 main contenders for the honor at the moment. "It's really them."

"Oh wow." Mina said beaming at them.

"Of all the talented students here they're the ones at the very top." Ida said.

"They're on a different level, still in school but practically pro heroes." Momo said. "Not even Marinette would stand a chance against them even with her latest item."

"As good as Lucky Charm is you're probably right." Marinette admitted briefly shaken from her distraction at there being a literal Tintin lookalike at U.A. to respond to her friend's comment as best she could. "The training gap is going to be too high for any of us to overcome."

"If they're as good as I hear then they're the students we should be chasing after." Jiro said as she looked at them and feeling the gap even more seeing as she was already chasing after her own class's Big 3. "We already have a clear-cut upper echelon so just how good must the actual Big 3 be?"

"They don't look all that special to me, except the girl she's pretty hot." Kaminari said in his usual tone. "And I know not to underestimate hot girls."

"They guy from outside." Izuku muttered as Mineta began drooling behind him having been the only one to not feel intimidated by the Big 3 seeing as his own extreme lust was winning out with that 11/10 girl now present who's assets he was currently zooming in on. "I can't believe it; I could only see his face then so I couldn't fully recognize him, but I know who he is. He was in the Sports Festival I watched from home last year, he didn't do very well but he definitely left a strong impression given what happened to him. If I remember correctly the other two didn't take any medals home either and yet they're U.A.'s Big 3, I wonder how they got that title?"

"Get to it." Aizawa said cutting off any chat from his class. "Introduce yourselves briefly and explain your work studies to the class. Let's start with Amajiki."

Tamaki Amajiki, the awkward looking guy who'd come in last, was not what you'd call social, confident, or good at public speaking. In fact, he was the exact opposite of all of them, a shy, nervous, and very introverted. As such when he looked at the class his look was serious and intense as he tried to come off like his ranking said and it clearly didn't go well. It was a very intense look to the class, but Amajiki was trying to calm his social anxiety by imagining them all as potatoes and it failed spectacularly.

"It's no good." Amajiki finally said as his anxiety took over and he began to shake uncontrollably, and he looked down at the ground. "You two go, I just can't. Even imagining them as potatoes, I can see their human bodies and I know that they're still people. No words are coming out, my mind is blank, and my mouth is dry. I can't say anything, I just want to go home."

At that Amajiki turned and faced the wall to the class's shock. His mumblings had confused them after his stare and now they were completely lost by the behavior of one of U.A.'s Big 3. It was the furthest thing from what they'd expected from someone at the top of the student body for the Hero Course.

"Ok so um, are you really one of U.A.'s top heroes?" Ojiro, who was nearest Amajiki, asked voicing what many of the class were thinking.

"Come on Amajiki." The girl of the trio said with a light, airy, laugh. "You need to have the heart of a lion and not a kitten, even though you are human. Get what I mean?"

It didn't work at all, and Amajiki just kept shaking so the girl turned to the class and gestured to him with her hand. She'd take over now and introduce herself and present what they'd been asked to present to the first years in Class 1-A.

"This is our kitten Tamaki Amajiki and hi, my name is Nejire Hado, I'm supposed to talk about work studies, you first years have an exciting time ahead of you with them." Hado said to Class 1-A before her natural airhead nature, and intense curiosity got the better of her and she approached Mezo Shoji who was in the first row right in front of her as she noticed something that distracted her and caught her attention to the point that she had to ask about it. "Hang on, why are you wearing a mask? Is it because you are sick or just trying to look cool? Come on, you can tell me the reason."

As she spoke she was leaning in and over Shoji's desk getting into his personal space as she raised her hand to her own face as if there was a mask there. It was surprising to say the least given how quick she was distracted, and this was just the start of the oddness that was Nejire Hado in full curiosity mode.

"Um, well…" Shoji began.

"Oh wow, and you must be Todoroki am I right?" Hado asked noticing the two-toned boy at the back of the row and blinking excitedly as she move on quickly leaving a confused Shoji before her not sure what was going on. "Yeah it is you, how did you get that big burn on your face?"

"That's none of your…" Todoroki began taken aback by the very personal and inappropriate question he'd just been asked but Hado had already moved on to her next target.

"And Ashido, if your horns break off do you think you'll grow new ones?" Hado asked as she turned to the pink skinned girl already desperate to play with those horns. "Oh, and can you wiggle them? They look like they can be wiggled."

Mina just looked confused as she reached up to her horns, that she barely thought about except when she was washing her hair, trying to understand what the older girl was going on about. Of course, before she could say anything Hado had moved on and was now focused on her latest curiosity based on simple physical appearances of several students in Class 1-A.

"Oh Mineta." Hado said turning to the class pervert. "Are those balls your hair or what, I don't get it. Like how do you wash it, can you wash it?"

"My balls?" Mineta asked blushing at the hot airhead talking about his balls as he looked up to his hair though by now Hado was past him as well.

"And Asui, you're a tree frog not a gross toad, right?" Hado asked smiling despite the potential rudeness to her question.

"Ribbit." Was all Tsu could get out as she blinking at the girl who no one could track anymore while Aizawa just got more and more pissed off by her as she spoke.

"Oh Dupain-Cheng, you're the strongest girl in the class like I was, I have to ask though, is your belly button really pierced?" Hado asked as she did a sudden turn from Tsu and got on her toes to see Marinette in the background. "You don't strike me as the type, you've got this cute, good girl vibe to you like me but you're a total beast in the field, how do you manage such a dichotomy?"

"There's an explanation for…" Marinette began but Hado had already moved on yet again.

"Oh, my goodness, there's so much I want to know about every one of you." Hado said bouncing before them and lightly clapping has she did. "Let's have a Q&A and learn all about each other."

"Aww, she's a total airhead, even cuter." Kaminari said completely smitten by this point.

"All those questions make her sound so young, hard to think that she's two years older than us." Mina said still taken aback by the bubbly airhead before them.

"She wants to know everything about my balls." Mineta said grabbing the balls he really meant and causing Momo to almost vomit behind him at the lecherous pervert's sheer vulgarity. "I'll spill my secrets, and a lot more all over you. Come get up close and personal."

"Calm down." Sero said, speaking for the entire class at the level of perversity that Mineta was now stooping to. "That isn't right man."

"Hey Ojiro, can you support your entire body weight with that tail of yours?" Hado asked not noticing the level of lust that would put even the most hedonistic of the world to shame and make them chaste by comparison that was coming from Minoru Mineta as she moved onto her next target in the class. "Or what? How does it work with the rest of your body?"

"Um, well, you see…" Ojiro began.

"Come on, tell me, I really want to know." Hado said leaning across the desk and getting right into Ojiro's personal space causing one of the girls in the class to eep at the closeness to Ojiro and Aizawa to begin activating his Quirk as he looked at Hado. "I can support my weight with my Quirk, so I want to know if you do the same as well?"

"This is completely irrational." Aizawa said his eyes glowing and his hair beginning to flutter.

"Oh, there's no need for you to worry Eraser Head." The last one, who had yet to introduce his name, said as he saw the way the pro was acting and got ready to intervene as Hado wouldn't pick up even the bluntest of hints at the moment but plow on until she'd said something to every member of the class at least. "I'm up next and I'll get the audience focused because the future is going to be…"

At this the boy cupped his right ear and leaned over the podium to the class. However, he didn't say anything more and the whole class, and Hado who'd been distracted from her latest curiosity to look at her classmate in confusion not getting what he was doing this time, just stared blankly at the upperclassman.

"Going to be what?" Someone asked.

"Awful, that's your part guys." The boy said grinning at them as they continued to blink in confusion at him. "Well crap, my call and response was a total fail."

"Is it just me or does it seem like each one of them is a complete weirdo." Sato whispered to Koda and Tokoyami. "What's the deal? They're supposed to be the Big 3 but they're all wacky."

"Their strangeness is palpable." Tokoyami added as Koda nodded which was saying something coming from someone with Tokoyami's level of dark obsession.

"I just can't get over how much he looks like him." Marinette whispered to Adrien as the Tintin lookalike laughed, sticking to French and knowing that he'd get what she was saying. "Like I half expect to see a white dog near him. If his hero name is Snowy or his power is snow related I might lose it."

"Yeah he really does look like a buff, blonde, version of him, and a bit like a mascot for an old American game." Adrien said. "It's odd to say the least."

"Ok you guys look like you have no idea what's going on." The boy said to them getting a bit more serious and their attention again due to his shift in tone. "I guess we are third years who just showed up in your classroom to explain a program that is completely voluntary, I can see how you'd be confused by that. Hmm, you guys got your provisional licenses as first years, huh, this batch of new students have proven to be pretty darn energetic to achieve that. So, the problem is you must not have a sense of humor, that must be why my joke didn't land."

"Don't do it." Amajiki said as Hado took a breath and both looked at their classmate knowing what was coming. "Mirio, it's not worth it."

"Heads up, the rad new plan is all you first years fight me at once." The boy said raising his fist to the sky.

"Huh." The class said collectively before it hit them. "Huh!"

"You want to fight us?" Sero asked confused. "Like now?"

"Well, if you want them to experience our experience this is a pretty rational way of showing it as I got so much stronger thanks to my work study last year." The boy said turning to Mr. Aizawa. "Right Eraser Head? Rational."

"Do whatever you want." Aizawa said though he saw the rational in this and it would be a good experience for his class.

With that the class was dismissed to change into their gym clothes, as were the Big 3, and meet in Gym Gamma for the fight. Aizawa had to admit as he made his way over to the gym to supervise the exercise that he was curious to see how it would go. He knew that Mirio Togata, the one who'd challenged his class, was the top student at U.A. and the most likely to one day become the new number one hero so it would be interesting to see his class face Togata, his Quirk, and his battlefield mind.

Aizawa would be lying if he also wanted to see how Togata handled one of his students in particular though. It wasn't everyday that two potential symbols went up against each other like this and she could rival Togata's mind in a lot of ways as both weren't conventional thinkers when it came to fighting. Then there was her Quirk, possibly the only thing that could truly counter Togata's that Aizawa had seen short of his own Quirk.

Yes, it would be interesting to see how Lucky Charm and it's wielder handled Mirio Togata and what item she'd create to counter him. Of course, it would be equally interesting to see how the top U.A. student dealt with such an unconventional fighter as Marinette Dupain-Cheng so Aizawa was looking forward to what would happen as his class got ready to face Mirio Togata.

"Is he for real?" Sero asked as they all gathered in the gym a few minutes later still processing what had just happened.

"Oh yeah, tots real." Togata said as he stretched before them, a wall of concrete behind him so they were only using the front part of the gym.

"Mirio, you're impossible." Amajiki said from the random spot on the wall he was facing so as to not look at the class, his use of Togata's first name for a second time showing how close the pair were though none in the class knew that their friendship went back years.

"Er…" Mineta said looking at the odd older boy.

"It would have been simple enough for us to just tell them what we were supposed to tell them." Amajiki continued. "You know, tell them that this is what it's like, this what we learned from it, that stuff. Not everyone has your level of drive. Plus think about how bad it will look if some of them can't recover after fighting you. No one wants to spend the next few years in a hospital bed."

That got the first years' attention and worry. Just what was Togata's Quirk and how good was he? Clearly he was good or else he wouldn't have challenged 21 Hero Course students at once, but the level of his talent was still unknown.

"I bet he's just trying to psych us out." Kirishima said.

"Possibly but we should take this seriously." Adrien said looking at their opponent intently. "This guy wouldn't have challenged us unless he felt like he could back it up, he's too self-assured of himself for that. This isn't arrogance or over-confidence; this is the real deal."

"Impressive assessment." Togata said nodding at Adrien. "You've had some experience I see, just as your records indicate. I even heard you went toe to toe with Gang Orca in close combat in your licensing exam while in a tornado of flame. Even with his restraining gear and the fire, facing a top 10 pro like that and matching him is impressive but you'll find me really different."

"I expect as much." Adrien said with a grin. "And we all won't go easy on you."

"Hey, listen up, it's story time." Hado said from where she'd managed to single out Mina and was playing with the younger girl's horns, wiggling them with her finger as she spoke and amazed at how both moved despite only one being wiggled. "Long ago a student got frustrated in class and quit being a hero and it was terrible for everyone; did you know that? So Togata I know our job is tough, but you'd better make sure you know what you're doing, ok?"

"Please stop touching those." Mina complained, her horns weren't something someone could just play with.

"Agreste is right, let's think about this." Tokoyami said as Hado finally stopped playing with Mina's horns much to the other girl's relief. "You're obviously much further ahead of us but we've fought pros before. Even you've acknowledged that."

"Not to mention we've taken down some legitimate villains." Kirishima said not knowing how accurate his statement was given how some of the class had been instrumental in bringing Stain to justice. "I don't think you need to worry about hurting us, we're not a bunch of wannabees."

"Heard but you're going to have to show me the truth of your words with your actions." Togata said with a nod. "Now which one of you wants to start this party."

"I got this." Kirishima said taking a fighting stance.

"No, I got this." Izuku said stepping forward his tone brokering no arguments from the rest of the class.

"Hey, you stole my thunder." Kirishima complained as Ochaco looked at her best friend and crush and remembered his words at the start of class instantly giving her faith in Deku. "So manly though."

"View this as a learning experience." Mr. Aizawa said to them, Todoroki standing next to him not participating as he didn't get his provisional, so he wasn't worthy of this trial. "It's a good opportunity for you."

"Oh, the problem child, I heard that you got plenty of fire in you." Togata said with a grin that Izuku Midoriya was the one who'd taken the front position, but he already knew how he'd start this, he'd heard the rumors and seen the records and knew there was one in this class who could truly be a threat to him if that Quirk was as good as indicated. "That is good to see."

"Midoriya is right, he's best to start this but all those who specialize in close combat should support him and follow his lead." Marinette said assessing the situation and speaking for the first time and showing Togata that he was right in his own assessment of Class 1-A based on their records. "Adrien, Kirishima, you are the shields for this given your resilience, so you take either side of Midoriya. Sato, back Adrien up, Kota, you're with Kirishima. Ochaco and Toru, you two get ready for hand to hand but make sure Ojiro has space for his tail and Ida his legs."

"Dupain-Cheng is right, we need to surround him once this starts." Sato said as got pumped.

"Long range step back behind me and give me space." Marinette said and the rest of the class who favored ranged attacks or in Shoji's case worked better at the back, though some could do melee as well, all backed up and got ready knowing that if Marinette was saying this they should listen. "I'll take the middle as I won't know which category I will need to be in until I get my item. I may not know this guy's Quirk, but Lucky Charm has never failed me before even in a situation like this so let's see what it gives me to best the top student at our school."

"Let's do this." Kirishima said as he hardened his arms and grinning toothily. "We've got a new mentor guys. Thanks for the opportunity man, the opportunity to kick your butt."

That was the moment to start and Izuku, already powered up and in a crouch as green electricity crackled all around him, leapt at Togata while the rest of the class readied or activated their own Quirks. Under normal circumstances Togata would have waited and started standing but he saw the pink begin to sparkle around the French girl and knew that he had to act right away. She was clearly the best in the class in his assessment; he was just going to have to show her he was better and teach them a bit about not getting distracted as anything could happen on a battlefield.

"Not bad but in a situation like this, a hero must deal with the biggest threat on the battlefield first and as quickly as possible and you're not despite being the problem child." Togata said as he activated his Quirk in all but his feet and ran forward as fast as he could. "I've heard of Lucky Charm; speed is key to beat that Quirk."

As Togata ran his clothes and shoes fell off his body thanks to his Permeation Quirk, but he ignored it as he ran forward while Jiro screamed and blushed at that and some of the class were confused. Credit to the problem child, he wasn't and launched a kick at Togata's head never pausing for an instance, but it went through.

While Togata couldn't see or breath he knew where he was running and kept moving as Midoriya twisted and landed behind him. The upperclassman also let blows from Sato, Kirishima, Ida, and Ojiro pass through as he charged through the close combat specialists.

For Izuku's sake he was already assessing the Quirk. It allowed things to pass through him, that was an amazing Quirk to Izuku, and he wanted to learn more but for now he had to regroup and strategize by watching Mirio Togata in action.

The older student had already shown his experience by noticing the true threat on the battlefield against him and using his awesome Quirk to go straight to it as it allowed him to ignore other attacks to deal with the threat that was in the middle as fast as possible. No one could deny that Dupain-Cheng was the strongest present, especially against an unknown opponent, and Togata was going straight for her as she activated her powerful Quirk.

"So, you're the one Hatsume mentioned." Marinette said as Togata ran through the close combat lot not sparing them a second glance as he approached her. "Seriously, use that underwear that was made for you, it will stop this problem."

"You're not phased by this, not bad." Togata said ignoring her words as he approached, the pink light still sparkling around the girl's whole body and hoping that this tactic worked as he cocked back his fist telegraphing a punch he was going to launch at the clearly experienced younger girl. "But can you handle this?"

"It's nothing I haven't seen before." Marinette said as she got her arms up to block the punch, her focus still on her Quirk as she felt it begin to take form around her. "But you…huh?"

Marinette's concentration was broken by the punch going through her arms and face just as the sparkles reached it. Togata continued past her, going cleanly through her and turning, the only part of his not permeable being the soles of his feet as he turned so that his back was to the ranged fighters, but he was between them and Dupain-Cheng who'd stopped sparkling and not a moment too soon as he could see the item that had partially formed on her arms and legs and knew that it would have likely bested him.

There was another reason for this move however, other than the main one that he'd accomplished. In this position the ranged fighters couldn't go for him without hitting their classmate as they'd just pass through him. As resilient as Dupain-Cheng was reported to be, even she couldn't handle multiple ranged attacks striking her at once.

"Just as I thought, you need to maintain concentration during the creation period for your item to form." Togata said as he launched his real attack. "And the more random or unknown or complex the item is, the longer it takes."

"Merde, you've done your homework." Marinette swore as she began to turn feeling only part of herself covered and forcing a change to complete the item that's creation had been interrupted by the feint punch, but it was already too late. "You'll…"

Crack. The sound of bone snapping followed by a clear gasp of pain was heard by the entire room, and everyone went silent as they gaped at the sight before them. Togata had turned on a dime when he passed through Marinette and launched a full-strength punch at her left side as she turned to face him, pink sparkles forming again as she tried to change her item into its completed form, when the punch landed. Togata had had to use all his strength because he knew how resilient the French girl was thanks to her enhanced constitution but even he hadn't expected it to be that effective.

All the class, along with Hado, Amajiki and Aizawa, looked in shock as Marinette and Togata held the pose for a moment, his fist in her side and she almost bent around it. The crack they'd heard had been at least one, if not more, of the ribs on Marinette's left side breaking. The sheer force needed to do that to her was impressive, they all recalled how strong Todoroki's ice had been when it had achieved a similar result in the Sports Festival, and showed that Togata's muscles weren't just for show.

"Sorry for this but you're too strong to use any restraint on." Togata said as the moment was broken and he began the rest of his sequence knowing he'd bested Dupain-Cheng now. "And know this, that item, if it is what I think it is you probably would have beaten me as it had a defense I couldn't break past."

"Small comfort." Marinette coughed out, blood flecks in her cough as she felt the blood rise up her windpipe and knew what had happened. "Not again."

That was all she got out before Togata's knee slammed squarely into her chest and lifted her off her feet as he drove the remaining breath from her lungs though at least he aimed for her right, unbroken, side. At the same time Marinette let out a loud cough and sprayed Togata's leg and the concrete with blood from her now punctured left lung.

Togata wasn't done though as he moved back and grabbed the French girl by the back of her neck in one hand, the other on the small of her back, while kicking her legs up at the same time. Marinette at this point was not able to fight back and all she could do was look down and see the concrete floor rush up to her face before she was slammed head first into it and the world went blank for the third time since she started U.A.

"Right, that's the big threat dealt with, time for the distance fighters." Togata said, he'd made sure he'd just knock Dupain-Cheng out, but he had to because even with her injuries she'd be a threat until unconscious, he'd seen that in her fight against Todoroki, and had ensured that was accomplished first. "The rest of you will fall easily."

With that Togata ran at the distance fighters before he activated his Quirk all over his body and fell into the ground. That surprised everyone and they didn't know where he was until a second later when the ground seemed to spit him out and high into the air behind Jiro at the back of the class. She turned at the sound of his voice and got a full, uncensored view of him and let out a scream that alerted the whole class. Alas that was not going to stop what came next.

The distance experts, and Shoji who was with them due to his preferred style and abilities, tried but few were good at close combat, or in Momo's case too reliant on her Quirk, and in seconds Togata had defeated all of them with powerful gut punches that left them all moaning on the ground with Jiro and Kaminari tied up with the former's Earphone Jacks for some reason. As this was happening Amajiki was giving a commentary about what they should be paying attention to given the first years confused shouts but only Adrien was hearing this as he tried to focus, his senses fully open and ready.

"Power!" Togata said getting the close combat students' attention as he pulled on his pants again, though how he had them with him after losing them on the other side of the gym no one knew and posed on the other side of the defeated students.

"Mirio Togata." Aizawa said having already alerted Recovery Girl that she was needed in the gym right away and knowing she'd be here though even he was surprised by the extent of what Togata had done to Dupain-Cheng to defeat her, not that it was unwarranted as there would be enemies you couldn't ensure victory over until they were out cold, while Togata caught his breath from the first round of fighting. "In my opinion he's the person who's closest to taking the spot of number one hero and that's including the pros. I'm sure you can all see why."

"He took out Dupain-Cheng in seconds and then got more than half the remaining class in an instant." Todoroki said his eyes wide at what he was seeing, it had taken him all his strength and being spat in the face to defeat the French girl, but Togata had done it right away though he had made it clear that she was the biggest threat to him in this fight. "A student but closer to number one than most heroes, incredible."

"You're not going to fight?" Aizawa asked the recommended student next to him who was clearly not participating in the battle. "You must be interested in taking the top spot yourself one day."

"I didn't even get my provisional license though." Todoroki said to his teacher. "I don't have a right to fight him right now."

That was interesting to Aizawa, it seemed that Todoroki had been humbled by his failure and calmed down a fair bit. Well, that was a matter for another time as he turned back to the fight to see how it ended though he really wanted to know what Dupain-Cheng had been creating when Togata had attacked showing that the girl did need to work on the speed of her items. That said, the top student had praised her which meant that it was something that could handle his Permeation and overall abilities. What the hell was it? Aizawa would have to wait though as the fighting was about to resume.

"I think that's it for the long-distance fighters." Togata said as he turned to face the remaining 9 members of Class A. "All that's left is the ones who specialize in close quarters combat."

"I have no idea how he just did that." Kirishima said now very worried about the fight.

"It's one thing to be able to phase through stuff but warping too?" Ochaco added. "That's too much."

"He's unrivaled, do we even stand a chance?" Ojiro said.

"We do if we're smart and I don't think that he's warping." Adrien said looking closely as Togata got ready for them. "They're too dissimilar and unless he's gotten a second Quirk, which is nigh on impossible, it's just a sign of how much more experienced he is. This is what more than two years of training at U.A. can do for us, teach us how to use our Quirks in newer and more unexpected ways."

"Hold the flattery." Togata said though he wouldn't say more as it might give too much away as clearly at least one of the remaining students had begun to deduce his skills.

"There's more to his Quirk than we're seeing, Agreste is right there, and I know from experience that he's on par with Dupain-Cheng for this kind of stuff so heed his advice." Izuku said reminding Ida of it as well while also impressing Amajiki who'd already deduced that only the French pair and the problem child seemed to have a chance of impressing Mirio. "Whether his power is simply slipping through matter or whether he's somehow warping himself through space, either way he's still landing his attacks directly. We should be able to counter him in the moment he's about to make contact. No doubt that was what Dupain-Cheng's item would do on its own, that's why he went after her first."

"Midoriya is right." Adrien said as Togata grinned at the deduction the problem child had made. "We will face villains with Quirks we don't know, we have in the past both in the real world and the licensing exam with other students, we need to use what we know and theorize from there to counter him."

"Yeah you guys said it, seems like house arrest didn't put a dent in your fighting spirit Midoriya." Kirishima said hardening up. "Let's take this guy out."

"Let's see if you can figure out how to win?" Togata asked as he began to run at them already having his plan as he regained his breath for the next assault.

Then, mid stride, Togata went under again and vanished into the ground. Izuku was the first to realize, theorizing from what he'd seen earlier and was already turning. He was in the back of the group and was powered up and ready to attack as Togata burst up from the ground behind him.

Togata for his part was impressed that the problem child wasn't surprised at all. It seemed like he was a great evaluator and tactician having deduced this already from only seeing Togata use the move once. It looked like he'd earned an ultimate move to be defeated.

"Watch this, an ultimate move." Togata yelled as Izuku kicked him, but his foot just passed through Togata's left hand, arm and body as he extended two fingers for an eye jab knowing what would come. "Blinder Touch Eyeball Thrust!"

Naturally Izuku closed his eyes and turned his head away expecting the contact. That was of course how Togata expected someone to react and was why he'd created the move as it was a feint as he was still permeable, so his fingers went through his opponents head. Then, when his opponent wasn't looking he could reposition himself, in this case twisting under Izuku for it, and land his actual hit all while both boys were still in midair. Only with Togata's Permeation Quirk could it be achieved, and he landed his gut punch to knock the problem child out of the battle a second later.

"I've discovered that most people try and launch a counter attack like you do." Togata said as he began to phase into the ground. "So naturally I've trained to work around such moves. Nice try though."

"Midoriya!" Ida let out before he felt the presence and turned just in time to take the bunch to the stomach himself.

"Damn." Kirishima said his hardening up but even he couldn't withstand the blow and was felled next with a blow to the gut like everyone, but Dupain-Cheng had received.

Togata continued pushing forward and then back landing blows on the rest of the close combat specialists. At least that had been his plan but one of them avoided it by leaping high in the air as the blow came and twisting away showing a level of skill that was above the rest of his class. Togata just knew he'd deal with that one in a moment as he finished off and put his pants back on with another pose.

"Power!" Togata yelled before getting series and turning to face the one remaining first year. "Or at least that's what I'd normally say but you're still standing Agreste. Those reflexes of yours certainly are impressive. I can see why you were able to hang with Gang Orca in a fight."

"Thank my mother for that, my enhanced constitution and reflexes come from her, well for the most part at least as dad has the former as well." Adrien said. "But it's mom's feline-based Quirk that allows me to react and move as fast as I did then, as well as sense your attack with my above average senses. No one else in the class could have managed it though."

"I see so that's how you avoided it." Togata said as he cautiously approached the other blond his assessment of the boy rising as he did. "Even my own speed and reflexes couldn't do that."

"Your training and hard work is impressive, the rest couldn't have avoided it, not even Marinette." Adrien said simply as he tried to think of how he'd win this when he couldn't actually hit his opponent and realizing that in a real villain fight his best chances were either flight or try to out stamina his opponent until someone like Mr. Aizawa showed up. "But I can thanks to the benefits I got from my mother. With training I'll be even better but you know that."

"So, you can tell." Togata said. "That this is the result of hard work and not a powerful Quirk."

"Hard not to." Adrien said with a shrug though not letting his guard down for a second. "Your Quirk, it's basically intangibility, isn't it. You can make yourself, either fully or partially, intangible but there are costs to in hence why you fell into the ground. You've worked hard to master it and work around your limitations with it to do what you can do but there is more I'm not seeing, that much I can tell."

"True and this leaves us in a bit of a stalemate." Togata said. "Because I know your Quirk and enhancements thanks to Quirk Marriages in the past. Like any good hero, I did my research before coming to speak to your class and read up on all the first years and their powers as well as watching the Sports Festival footage. I know that your Quirk is rather destructive but won't work on organic material. That basically leaves us in an endurance match with you avoiding my attacks until one of us falters and allows for a hit. I'd have to be a bit rougher with you though, you're as hardy as Dupain-Cheng."

"It may seem that way, but you did a number on my love and that won't stand." Adrien said seriously as he grinned. "So, let's see how good your footing really is. I may not be able to fight you directly with my Quirk but you're not the only one who can use their Quirk indirectly."

With that Adrien activated Cataclysm in his feet and his shoes were instantly destroyed. Then the ground around him cracked and began to fall apart as he crouched down, and the cracks extending around him while he began to sink into a crater of his own making. Cataclysm was spreading through the gym, destabilizing the ground, and Togata was temporarily thrown but he set it by going fully intangible and falling into the ground before Agreste could try and attack.

"Agreste, what are you doing?" Aizawa called ready to activate his Quirk the moment he felt necessary as the cracks began to near the walls. "How deep can Cataclysm go?"

"Er…" Adrien said as a crater began to form around him and Aizawa knew that this was not a good idea anymore.

"That's it, this exercise is over." Aizawa said as Togata appeared behind Agreste and his eyes flashed red, his hair on end as he erased both of their Quirks thus ending the damage that would take a long time to deal with given how Agreste's Quirk destroyed so completely that Cementoss was going to have to excavate around the affected areas and repour the cement. "Stop now."

"Huh? Really?" Togata as he landed on the now dusty ground and staggered in the crater Adrien had created while he put his clothes on. "But I had that."

"Probably but Agreste lacks the finite control over his Quirk you've got." Aizawa said as the class began to recover, a little surprised by the cracks that were now under them. "That is his lesson from this, recklessness almost cost Agreste his license, so for now it has to end. Agreste, you know what you need to work on."

"Yes sir, sorry." Adrien said with a bow of his head. "May I see to Marinette?"

"Recovery Girl is on her way but sure, make sure she's ok." Aizawa said just as Recovery Girl arrived with two robots that would take the girl to the infirmary. "You and Todoroki are the only ones currently able to move but remember school rules on PDA."

"Yes sir." Adrien said as he rushed to Marinette, leaping out of his crater that only he and Togata had been in because of how far away from the rest he'd leapt when the older boy had targeted the close combat students so thankfully only a few cracks had reached Marinette's position. "Marinette, are you ok?"

Adrien gently rolled his girlfriend onto her side, the one without the broken ribs, and winched as blood leaked from her mouth and covered her forehead but she was breathing. A moment later she began to come too though her eyes were clearly unfocused.

"Je viens de me faire donner mon cul par Tintin." Marinette groaned out with a cough, blood coming up as she spoke, and too dazed to even try and speak Japanese. "Je n'ai jamais pensé que cela arriverait. Où est Milou, c'est un chien mignon."

"I don't speak your language, but I do hope that wasn't as bad as it could be." Recovery Girl said quietly as she reached them, she was one of the few in the know so Adrien figured it out right away what she really meant. "Is she referencing anything that she shouldn't be?"

"Possibly, that reference isn't a good one." Adrien said quietly keeping at her volume so that only they could hear each other. "But of the two who know our tongue, one is too out of it as these blows were right to his weakest point so he may need you as well, and the other is not a worry."

"I am aware of what transpired when you lot moved in." Recovery Girl said as her lips extended and she healed Marinette enough to not be in any immediate danger and causing her to pass out from the healing and need another session later. "There you go deary. Right, get her on the stretcher and take her to my office."

The robots did as such, with Adrien's help as it was easier for him to get her onto the stretcher. Once she was on it, the robots took her away while making anti-human remarks like always and Recovery Girl began to head to the side to chastise Aizawa for this.

Meanwhile everyone else had recovered enough to stand up, though they were still clutching their stomachs facing Togata wondering what had just hit them. Thankfully he explained that to them, with Hado's help, and how his Quirk was called Permeation and allowed him to pass through things which meant that what some thought was warping was actually an application of his Quirk mixed with physics that worked like a buggy video game.

It all seemed strong but that wasn't the case as Togata explained. His Quirk wasn't powerful because it was so all encompassing that sound, light and air passed through him as well so when it was fully active he couldn't breathe, see, or hear and would probably fall forever until he released it.

As a result, he ended up at the bottom of the rankings, and dropped his pants a lot, so he had to think and train hard to reach the top. There were several steps he had to do just to exercise a basic move with his Quirk, so his dedication, training, and hard work was clear to them as he explained it and how his work study helped him grow. That was the key to his strength, and it was a really learning experience for the entire class.

It was all fascinating and the class broke to head back to class, except Marinette who'd be out for the rest of the day, talking about what had happened. Several were now excited to try and get a work study offer and see what they could learn.

As this was happening the Big 3 were heading away and Togata was asked who he was impressed by. He was certainly impressed with the French pair, the boy had managed to avoid his attacks and stay standing until the end, even managing to force an end of the exercise with his Quirk, while the girl's item would have beaten him as it was looking like skintight, electrified armor that he wouldn't be able to get through but there was one who really impressed him, the problem child.

Togata wondered what Sir Nighteye would think of him and planned to introduce them as soon as he could, perhaps even see of Sir would take on Midoriya as another work study student if first years were allowed to participate. Little did Togata know that that was what Nighteye wanted and what Midoriya would be advised to do.

I think I'll bring this to an end here. I know it's a little abrupt, there really wasn't a good place to end it as the rest is really just canon stuff not worth covering as it's Bakugo's final trash cleaning and Midoriya talking to Gran Torino and this chapter has gone on long enough. I probably could have broken it up between the point where Mirio decided to fight the whole class and the fight itself, and if y'all want I can do that as it won't be hard what with the whole thing is edited, but ultimately I decided to leave it as a whole for now. I know I glossed over a few bits, but they are just cannon stuff, the important things were learning of Midoriya and Bakugo's fight, the work study talks, the Big 3 introduction, and the fight which I covered and was of course the biggest change as the item I had in mind for Marinette was one that could have withstood even his Quirk. The only thing to really mention is that the French Marinette spoke roughly translates to 'I just got my ass handed to me by Tintin. I never thought that that would happen. Where is Snowy, he is a cute dog.' This is all mainly because Mirio does look a lot like Tintin and as I was a big fan of Tintin growing up (even had a white dog called Snowy though he was a cocker spaniel not a wire fox terrier) and as Tintin is originally written in French for the francophone audience, though he is Belgian, I couldn't resist having Marinette and Adrien make that connection with Mirio and reference it a bit though they know they'll need to be careful. The other reference was to the Fallout game series mascot as he too looks a bit like Mirio I think. Anyway, that is all for this long chapter, the next one will be a bit different as it will be slightly retroactive as it will detail Marinette's detention time with Power Loader and Hatsume similar to how her internship was looked at before we move onto the events of season 4 of the anime. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
