Here it is, the eighty-seventh full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on the set day that I promised each week. The first song is over and now it is time for the second song and for the first time in all the chapters I've ever published (644 total across 26 stories which is including the one story I've deleted but that was a oneshot so it's 643 across my 25 published stories) that I have done a songfic so I hope it goes over well. The song lyrics are in italics and for those curious about the song it's not one I made up but one that already exists called 'Ce Mur Qui Nous Sépare' and I explain more about it at the end but I'm giving it credit here because it deserves it and so y'all can listen to it or an instrumental version if you want to while reading this chapter as I did during the writing and editing of this chapter. Anyway, that is all the administrative stuff I have for now though and as there are no review questions to answer or guest reviews to respond to I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. Now, though, it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 87th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 87: Duet of Love

While the first song was ending, Adrien and Marinette had changed behind stage, Jiro's little intro giving Marinette the needed moments to finish changing, and were now in their outfits standing in their respective wings ready to head onto the stage for the start of their own song. They'd practiced the song enough, knew it inside and out, and so did the band. Now it was time to show it off to the whole school, including the rest of their own class, what they'd prepared to finish their Class's performance.

As with the dance outfits for the first song, Marinette had made their outfits, well she'd had the designs just in case, and knew that they looked good. Adrien was in a pitch-black suit perfectly tailored by Marinette to his frame, something she had to redo since he'd bulked up a little thanks to his training, that he rocked along with smart black shoes polished to a mirror shine.

The only things of note that were added was that there was a green border lining on the inside of his jacket and at his throat he had a cat bell rather than a tie. It was the first time that he'd worn one there since being blasted into the future and it was an homage to their past lives as well as a nod to their Class regarding his hero name so that they understood some of the deeper meanings to the upcoming song.

Meanwhile, Marinette was in a flowing, sleeveless red dress with a high collar that completely covered her chest and came down to her calves with slits along the sides to her mid-thigh for ease of movement. She'd paired it with matching red gloves that came up to her biceps and sinched at her waist by a black belt sash with her yo-yo now on her left hip. While heals would have been good she didn't trust her coordination to move and sing in them at the same time so had opted for simple red flats for her feet with little black bows on tops of them.

The one notable thing was that she'd also added a black polka dot pattern to the dress and gloves to represent her identity as Ladybug and was wearing her mask from her hero costume that she'd gotten permission to take along with her yo-yo. Marinette had done this because of the stark contrast of their love before they'd realized the truth.

After all, Adrien had fallen for Ladybug not realizing that she was Marinette, so Marinette's outfit was to replicate that while she'd fallen for Adrien so his was without the mask though black for Cat Noir as she had known of Cat Noir's crush on her and to show all sides of them today. This was their story in song, so they were going to tell it right, or at least as close to as they could within their tailored backstory.

"There is going to be a recording of both songs put online with subtitles for those who wish to know what is about to be sung." Jiro's voice said from the stage, and this was their cue, so they blew kisses at each other from across the wings and set themselves for what was to come. "Because I now present my classmates, Marinette and Adrien, as they sing a duet in their native French that tells their story and the nature of where they have come from."

With that the lights went out and Marinette and Adrien walked out to their starting points on the stage unseen by anyone thanks to the sudden darkness after all the lights of the first song. Adrien could do it with his night vision thanks to the enhanced senses he had but for Marinette it was memory and step count, but she managed it. As she reached her starting spot she raised her left hand, she was on the left-hand side of the stage as you looked at it, and waited for the intro from Momo on her keyboard. Then it came, the opening bars of the song and Marinette activated her Quirk.

What she needed was a barrier, ideally a wall, to appear between her and Adrien dividing the stage in two along the middle so they couldn't see each other during the song. It was all for the story they'd tell and those who knew French would know that it was a significant meaning once they heard the song though Marinette doubted many would understand the metaphorical meaning behind it.

Regardless, the crowd gasps as the flash of pink appeared in a line in the middle of the stage that was the sign of Lucky Charm activating and the item formed right where Marinette wanted it to be. She knew it would be there and waited as the opening bars came to an end and a spotlight shot up onto Adrien on the other side and he began to sing in French, a cheek mic on to be heard. Marinette felt her love for him swell even more as she heard his voice and the words he sang in their native tongue because they were about her and his love that he held for his lady.

Elle est debout juste derrière moi
Elle me sourit, détourne les yeux
Je crois comprendre son drôle de jeu

As Adrien sang his opening stanza he was looking towards the wall with a ladybug print on it that separated them, pouring his emotions into the words as he sang them. They were about Marinette, though of course not by name, and how she was there, smiling at him and how he thought he understood her games, but the unease was clear in his voice as he sang so people heard the doubt that he'd held within him.

Accompanying it was Momo on the piano and Jiro, who thanks to positioning was directly behind the end of the wall, on the violin adding to it all. It was only three lines, but it was the opening salvo and Marinette took a breath before preparing her own response as the light lit up on her as well.

Quand je le vois, je ne suis plus moi
Je deviens rouge et parle tout bas
Le souffle court j'ai le cœur qui bat

Marinette began to sing in a soft but strong voice, her French ringing with emotion as she sang, her right fist clenched and over her heart as she looked at the red wall with black dots knowing that her love was on the other side, that regardless of whether she was Marinette or Ladybug she loved Adrien. That could be heard in her voice as she sang of how she wasn't herself around him, how she blushed and lost her breath in his presence, something that had surprised Jiro when Marinette had translated it for her given how she'd gotten over that issue once she learned Adrien loved her back, and how her heart beat for her love that made her this way.

Again, no names were needed but it was clear to all watching that it was about the two of them. This was between the two of them and already after three lines each they had the audience captivated by their song despite most not knowing what they were saying, which meant that it was time to kick it up a notch as Adrien took over with a single exclamation in song.

M'éloigner

At the phrase, which translated to get away or flee, Adrien turned from the wall as the lights rose on the stage showing the whole wall that separated Adrien and Marinette and he began to walk away from it. As he moved towards the edge of the stage he looked out and continued to sing putting his emotions into his voice as he did. As he sang the percussion joined in to really set the beat though naturally Bakugo looked annoyed as he drummed at the back of the stage.

C'est la seule chose à faire
J'ai le cœur à l'envers
Je sens comme un pouvoir
Qui me tire au-delà
Du mur qui nous sépare
!

Adrien sang about why he was running away from his love. It was the only thing he could do as he felt the power drawing him in and reversing his heart to pull him beyond the wall that separated them. That last line was when he turned back to look at it, the first reference to the wall that was between them though they didn't truly know that the wall was due to the whole secret identity stuff. Immediately after the reference Adrien stopped singing however and Marinette responded to him with her own as she walked towards the wall.

Mais pourquoi
Je n'ose rien lui dire
Je le veux que pour moi
Sa lumière, son sourire
Traversant pour un soir
Ce mur qui nous sépare!

It was a question, a simply why that Marinette sang with a second's pause between the first line and the next 5 that explained her question as the music began to really pick up and the song with it. She wanted to know why she couldn't tell him anything, her voice showed her fear and reservations at doing so as she wasn't sure if her love would be returned, but also her desire as she held out her arm to wall and kept singing. She wanted his smile, his light, and to have it all to herself if only for a night. If only they could get past the wall that was between them then it would be hers. As she finished Adrien again responded.

Mais pourtant
Lorsque je pense à elle
Je me sens infidèle
Je veux fuir dans la nuit
Pour voir ma coccinelle
J'ai le cœur un duel!

As Adrien sang he turned to look at the wall, a hint of hope in his voice as he sang, a glimmer of what he wanted and the struggle within him that was now tearing him apart. This was where he suddenly revealed that the issue was that he was singing of two loves one that seemed to be building and one established and how when he thought of the building one he felt unfaithful to the real one. As such, he wanted to flee into the night to see his Ladybug, the only instance in the song where any of their names was dropped, and how his heart was in a duel with his loves.

What no one really knew was that this was as much a reference how Adrien loved both halves of Marinette that together made her who she was. It was about how he loved her hero and civilian sides but how the hero side was the older of the two, the first love and it was more recent that he learned of her civilian side that he fell for it as well because together they made the girl he was in love with.

This was a bit of embellishment for the song's sake but did show how the wall was erected with Marinette's different natures between her two persona back in the day though these days they were one and the same now that she could openly be Ladybug. It was also the bit of the song that moved into the first of the two true duet parts and as Adrien finished singing of his heart's duel Marinette joined in on the next line their singing in unison as both looked at the wall from their respective sides.

Toi et moi
Si nous pouvions nous voir
Au-delà du miroir
Bas les masques pour un soir
Brisons de part en part
Ce mur qui nous sépare

They approached the wall as they sang, hands out and placing them on the it while still singing but clearly at different points to show the separation between them as they sang. They sang of each other and if they could see each other through the mirrors that were in their lives, if they could just shed the masks for just a night then they could break through the wall that separated them. This was the biggest nod to both how they were unable to be together and realize their love for each other back in the day and what the class, but Momo, knew of their backstories with the system at Francois Dupont.

That was because it was their masks that had separated them, that had been the wall that had held them back form their true love. Marinette loved Adrien but didn't know that he was Cat Noir. Cat Noir loved Ladybug but didn't know that she was Marinette. That love square was why they couldn't share their love, why it took the blast to the future and the reveal it caused to finally express it and overcome this wall but that would come later in the song as the duet ended and Adrien resumed his solo singing as he turned away from the wall but kept a hand on it.

Je ne comprends pas ce que je veux
Je ne peux pas tomber amoureux
D'où vient ce sentiment mystérieux?

Adrien sang about how he couldn't understand what he wanted but that he knew that he couldn't fall in love, it was one of the saddest parts of the song as he looked away from the wall. Yet despite this he couldn't understand the mysterious feelings within him that were his love wanting to be out. It was to this that Marinette responded with her own next bit of the song.

Un jour viendra, tu découvriras
Le bonheur d'être à deux, toi et moi
Lorsqu'on se serrera dans nos bras

This was Marinette's pleading to Adrien that one day he would find out that there was happiness between them, that when they held each other in their arms they would achieve that. It was a message of hope but also of wishful thinking for her love as Adrien had already taken his hand off the wall and walked away from it and now Marinette did the same, backing up for what she knew was coming but waiting as Adrien sang his response.

Mais pourquoi si mon cœur est ailleurs
Je sens dans mon âme une chaleur
Un frisson qui me porte bonheur

Adrien had walked away from the wall as Marinette sang her latest part. When it ended he was looking out over the crown and clenched his hand over his chest as he sang his response of sorts, of course they didn't know they were singing to each other, at least that wasn't the point of it, but it was how the song worked and through it they told their story.

This time Adrien sang a question about his heart, that if his heart was on the other side of this barrier then why did he feel a warmth so deep it affected his soul, it brought him happiness, a happiness he wanted to feel. The other, deeper, meanings there were much more complex and not addressed in the song as this wasn't about Adrien's daddy issues.

As Adrien finished there was a slight tailing off from the violin as the song's mood shifted and the focus fell on Marinette and the light over Adrien dimmed. This was her big part of the song where she poured all her emotions, her love and what she'd been through into her singing to show it and it was all backed up by only the piano music. It was the most moving part of the song and Momo always cried at it because she knew the full truth, which also made her the best to play this part, and she was perfect on the keys as she went into the longest solo of the song and Marinette began her singing.

Pourtant je le ressens
Ce tourbillon de sentiment
Qui nous emporte au firmament
Dans le soleil et dans le vent
Comme une chance unique
Un tournoiement magique

It was the longest solo and the only one with multiple verses to it. Marinette sang the first one fast and to the point for the first 4 lines of it before slowing down and really emphasizing the last two lines so that it was clear how important they were to her.

She sang of how felt it between the two of them, about the whirlwind of feelings that they had that took hold of them, and how she felt it in the sun and the wind. This was giving them a unique chance and the magic was stirring, a much deeper reference than any other than Momo knew, so they had to seize it and that was when Marinette transitioned into the next verse of her solo with a deep breath.

C'est fort quand je le vois
Je veux crier sur tous les toits
Notre amour qui nous tend les bras
Mais je sais que je ne dois pas
Ce n'est pas le moment
Il faut être patients
Être patients

The transition was Marinette singing loudly and clearly, her emotions and love for Adrien carried in her voice. She sang about how strong their love was, how she wanted to shout it from the rooftops and how it reached out to them, but she slowed down from there because she knew that this was not the moment for it to truly blossom. No, she had to be patient, and she would be patient when it came down to her love. Then she turned to the crowd from the wall for the first time as she sang the last three lines of her solo.

Je sais qu'un jour on s'envolera
Car mon amour un jour tu verras
Qu'auprès de moi tu deviendras toi!

This time Marinette sang of hope for her love as the music picked up with the drums coming back into it because she knew that one day they would fly on their love, that one day Adrien would see her love and became who he is with her. It was a message of not giving up on love, of knowing when it was true and pure and how it could complete people, which for them it did, and so she was pouring all her heart into her singing as her long solo ended and the song transitioned over to Adrien for his final solo.

Je ne comprends pas ce que je veux
Je ne peux pas tomber amoureux
D'où vient ce sentiment mystérieux

As Marinette had been singing Adrien had turned and walked towards the wall and then begun his last solo right after Marinette ended hers. It was the only part of the song that was exactly the same as an earlier part though with the progression of the song it took on a more complex meaning and didn't end in a question like the last time.

Again, Adrien sang of not understanding what he wanted, it was a reference to his past with his father and all that that had been, about how he couldn't fall in love but didn't know where the feelings were coming from only now he wasn't questioning or running away from them. No, this time he was walking towards the wall as he sang about them.

As Adrien sang Marinette turned and returned to the wall to prepare for the finale of the song. It was time for the long duet between them that Marinette timed to join in with Adrien on it as the song transitioned to it and the final few stanzas.

Nous serons réunis dans la nuit
Comme dans le jour o
ù tous ce qui brille
Sera notre amour à l'infini

This was the final duet, the culmination of the song and the most important part as it showed the depths of their love for one another. They sang of how they'd be together in the night and in the day when all that glitters but most importantly their love was to infinity and that was where a depth lay that only Momo truly knew.

That was because Adrien and Marinette's love was indeed to infinite because it literally transcended lifetimes and eras of humanity from when they first fell for each other back in France before the incident, through the blasting into the future and arriving 230 years later in a work of Quirks unable to return to the past. In fact, it was because of this that they were finally able to realize their love for one another and at long last express it.

Their love had survived and was finally found in this new life without their masks, without the lies that came with those masks, and where they could be who they wanted to be while being together without an issue. This was the culmination of their love, and the culmination of the song and Adrien raised his left hand high and ignited Cataclysm in it for all to see before he swiped it across the wall between them imbuing his Quirk into Marinette's to destroy it and inadvertently showing his power in the process given the toughness of Lucky Charm.

The wall cracked and crumbled away as they sang the next part of their duet. This had been the toughest thing to practice to get right but with Adrien's increased control over Cataclysm they'd been able to manage it.

Malgré ce grand mur qui nous sépare
L'amour traverse de part en part
Nous sommes ensemble, une force rare!

As the wall fell they sang about how despite the wall their love now goes beyond it and that they are together, something that gives them a rare strength. It was on the together part that the wall fully crumbled to reveal them to each other for the first time during the entire song. As they saw each other, Marinette removed her mask and tossed it to the ground to the side while Adrien showed her his glowing hand before deactivating his Quirk to confirm that with the shattering of the wall they were together at last and knew the truth each hid from the other. On that note they stepped forward to finish the song.

Pour toi je patienterai toute une vie
Car oui je t'aime à la folie
Je t'aimerai à l'infini...

Their voices softened in the final stanza as they sang that for the other they'd wait a lifetime, a literal thing in their cases even if it hadn't felt like that to them, because they loved each other to madness. To end it they reminded each other that they would love the other to infinity.

It was as they sang the last word, letting it tail off, that they reached each other at last with Adrien's right hand taking Marinette's left hip while her right hand found his shoulder. Then, in front of the entire audience Marinette raised up on her toes and tilted her head to the side as Adrien lent down slightly to capture her lips in his in a passionate embrace for all to see. As they kissed their hands that faced the audience came together and their fingers interlocking as the music drew to a close to complete the song on the passionate embrace between them.

The crowd took a moment to process the end of the song, mainly how it ended, before they suddenly erupting in cheers. While few knew what they were saying, though there some students present who did understand enough French to know, they all understood the emotions of the song, and many were crying.

Meanwhile the entire class who didn't know that this was coming were openly gaping at the scene in the center of the stage while Aoyama wept into the nearest object mumbling in French about how gorgeous their love was not that anyone near him could understand what he was saying either. Said nearest object to him was Midoriya's shoulder but Izuku dealt with it as he too processed what he'd seen though in short order he and the rest of the Class joined in the cheering for their classmates and the song they'd just sung.

Clearly Jiro had orchestrated this as a way to show that the French pair were welcome and have them show who they were to the school and boy had she. It was the icing on the cake of the performance and just what the school needed to see given the wholeness of the ending.

One person who didn't need to see two of his students engage in a passionate, and clearly not their first but he did know of their relationship status, kiss on stage was Aizawa. He was in the back of the gym as he was the chaperone for Eri for the festival and was glaring at the stage. It was a feeling not shared by those with him in the persons of Present Mic, Midnight, Mage, and that random Chinese girl who had to be in her 20s.

"Well, that was unexpected, they are going to be in so much trouble for that." Aizawa grumbled. "Right in front of the…"

"No, you can't do that to them." Midnight wailed, she'd been openly weeping for most of the song and was now streaming tears that would make Midoriya proud at the purity of the young love she'd just seen though she didn't doubt that they weren't pure at all and thus needed some guidance from her once she was done persuading the grumpy guts next to her not to punish them. "It was too beautiful to merit any punishment."

"Yeah Shota, it was amazing, and I barely know any French." Mic said as both pleaded with him by grabbing his arms from either side. "You can't punish them for that."

"I should, that was a clear violation of rules around displays of affection." Aizawa said glaring at the stage where his students were finally breaking apart but still holding each other while staring at the other with love in their eyes as the band packed up behind them. "And they know full well about them, I've been clear enough regarding such activities."

"Please, it was just too pure to be punished." Midnight pleaded now shaking Aizawa's arm. "Just this once can you open your heart to young love and let it be. It is a festival after all."

"Did you understand what they were saying?" Aizawa asked his colleague. "Because I didn't."

"No but I'll get a copy of that song and learn it from that." Midnight said. "There's no way I'm not learning what they were singing."

"I did, it was very sweet." Mage said placing a hand on Aizawa's shoulder thus adding to the serious invasion of Aizawa's personal space that was going on. "Don't hold it against them, it was the only way to end a song like that and it was a one-time thing. Just have them train really hard or something to make up for it."

"That I can do, and they'd wish they were dead when I'm done." Aizawa said with a huff before looking at Mage closer and asking what he'd been wanting to ask since the man had appeared during the last song. "And shouldn't you still be in a wheelchair? You got run through by a sword a month ago, that's not exactly an injury that can be recovered from this quickly."

"I've got my cane." Mage said holding up a cane that he'd clearly just conjured in his off hand. "And besides, the docs gave me the clear to walk around and the docs I know are some of the best, so I trust them. It still hurts a bit, and I'm still medically barred from hero work for a few more months, but I'm going to enjoy this festival."

"Fine." Aizawa said deciding it was best to just accept it when it came to someone like Mage, the man had earned the rank of Guardian after all, so he had to be made of strong stuff to secure such an honor. "Care to at least explain what those two just sang?"

"It was a tale of their love for each other and how the system at Francois Dupont placed a wall between them preventing them from realizing it." The Chinese girl said from Mage's other side, her Mandarin based accent clear in her fluent Japanese. "The wall was pure symbolism of course but it was a good metaphor in my opinion and using it on stage really drove it home with the song. Basically, they were in love with each other back then but didn't know it because of how Francois Dupont is so secretive about the Hero Course identities even inside the classes there. I couldn't get the subtler details as it's not my native tongue, so the intricacies elude me, but that was the general gist."

"Sorry, who are you?" Aizawa asked the girl now even more confused about her than he was before.

"Fei." Fei said simply. "Wu Fei as you Japanese would say so you can call me Wu."

"Ok, Ms. Wu, and why are you here?" Aizawa asked. "Only students, staff and special guests are allowed at the festival this year and as far as I know you aren't one of the limited guests."

"I'm Mage's teaching assistant." Fei said suddenly producing a U.A. staff ID from an inside pocket of her leather jacket and handing it over to Aizawa who took it looking perplexed at the sudden revelation, as did Mic and Midnight who'd been wondering the same thing about the girl as Aizawa had. "My appointment just got approved by Nezu the other day and I picked up the ID this morning. This is my first full day though I've been to the campus before and don't worry, I've got a patrol shift so I'm pulling my weight with security."

Aizawa blinked before he looked down at the card that identified the woman as Fei Wu, a 27-year-old Chinese national from Shanghai, member of the Guardian Agency, and a teaching assistant at U.A. It also listed her Quirk as Renren though Aizawa had no idea what that meant which made him curious as to what she could do but given her qualifications she had to be skilled with it.

"Ok Ms. Wu, your hero ID please." Aizawa said handing back the staff ID to her. "I trust Nezu, but I need to see that as well just to be sure. In fact, tell me what Renren does exactly so I understand it."

"Sure." Fei said taking it and then producing another ID, this one the special ID given to members of the Guardian Agency to identify them as international heroes and handing it over. "This also just came through, updated to show that I'm now based here in Japan not China. As for Renren, it allows me to turn into one of 8 animals depending on my state of mind right before transformation. Gotta love years of breeding to produce a Quirk like that."

"Yes I figured you were Chinese, and they certainly were prolific with the Quirk breeding for a while so a power like that makes sense." Aizawa said as he looked over the ID as he processed what the girl was saying. "However, why does Mage need an assistant?"

"It's in part due to my recent injuries, I need help with the class stuff and the teaching." Mage said as Aizawa looked over the ID to see that the girl was fully licensed and had the hero name Lady Octo which had to be a reference to the 8 transformations she apparently had. "And also because I need an unarmed combat specialist for my Quirkless combat course next semester. I can fight without blades just fine but having an assistant who's an actual expert in it is good. I've worked with Fei in the past, so I know her talents in martial arts well, they rival even yours Aizawa."

"I see, very well but I'll be the judge of that so set aside a time for us to spar Wu." Aizawa said to Fei who just nodded as Aizawa wasn't done speaking. "The last thing I want to know is how did you come to speak French? It's not the most commonly expected language for a hero out here to know unless they are from France like three of my students are. Usually, it is just the Business Course students who focus on European businesses or those in General Studies with a diplomatic interest that learn it."

"My father loved the language and taught me it." Fei replied as she took back her ID. "The fact that I speak French was actually part of why Mage chose me to come and assist him as he is the legal guardian for those two so having another francophone helps. I also as you can tell speak Japanese, as well as my native Mandarin, English, Cantonese, Korean, Thai, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish and am passable in Russian and Portuguese. Polyglot is a requisite for being a member of the Guardian Agency."

"Yes I am aware of that requisite to be part of a global agency like yours." Aizawa said. "We always ensure that our students can speak English as it is a useful language to know but that is it. I know the principal is fluent in many languages, his Quirk lends to that ability, but you're linguistic proficiency is impressive."

"Nezu is talented for sure, and he's asked me to run some language clinics as well, a little bonus work to help those who need or wish to learn another language." Fei said. "Not that I'm one to turn down some extra work and the money that comes with it."

"Very well." Aizawa said. "Mage, you're responsible for her I take it."

"Yup, don't worry all is sorted and you shouldn't see Fei more than necessary." Mage said as the crowd began to break up now that the concert was over and began to file out of the gym talking excitedly about the two songs and how good they were. "Now if you excuse me, there are some interesting stalls I'd like to check out and I believe one of Technus's associates is a special guest looking at some Support Candidates for, I should make sure he's not getting into too much trouble in the Development Studio. Come, Fei, those Cementoss coconut water drinks are calling my name and I feel like those souvenir containers could be pretty collectable in time. Let's get some and a little food before your patrol."

"Yes sir, I would like to sample plenty of the food and see if they've got a good martial arts booth." Fei said. "Always looking for promising students to train or spar with. Plus, food will give me fuel for my patrol, going to have to stay transformed for that I feel."

With that the pair left with he flow of students as Aizawa just shook his head at that. Mic had recovered and finally left for his own patrol while Midnight was still a blubbering mess who proceeded to run off after Mage and Fei for a full translation now that they were gone.

Aizawa just sighed as he walked forward, his class had to clean up this mess and he had to make sure Togata and Eri were ok, but he could see the girl's smile from here as she was talking to Togata who had tears in his eyes at it and replying to her. Well, things had at least worked on that front so today had been a success in the end in Aizawa's mind.

Of course, Marinette and Adrien saw none of this as they slowly broke apart though still holding hands smiling at each other after the song ended and the lights came up. Momo was again crying at it but giving them their moment while Jiro smiled at the couple before starting to put away her violin. It had gone off well, Kaminari cried at how lucky Agreste was to have found love with someone like Dupain-Cheng, Tokoyami just nodded his approval and Bakugo had already grunted and begun the clean up so he could enjoy the festival glad that the pair hadn't ruined the performance.

Still, the couple just looked into each other's eyes and smiled. They'd come a long way since the incident and still bore the pain of that, but it was now just a scar that reminded them of their past. Their old friends would have wanted them to move on with their lives and find happiness, so they had. They'd moved on in this world, found their love for each other, and found a new place with new friends while still doing good in the world. They were truly one with the new world now and had just shared their own story and love with it.

There was of course still evil in the world that they would fight but they'd do it as heroes once again. Yes, things were finally where they needed them to be, and their duet had given them that last piece to embrace their lives in this new, Quirk filled, world that they'd found themselves in. Now, though, it was time to clean up and enjoy their first ever School Festival at U.A. and neither could wait to see what the festival would show them.

Well, there it is, at last we know what the song was (which I of course can't take credit for), and I hope that my first (and probably only) attempt at a songfic worked alright. With the exceptions of the single line exclamation of M'éloigner and Marinette's long solo that I broke up into the three parts of it, I went with a whole stanza approach before explaining roughly what they were saying and my own interpretation of it for this chapter. For those interested, several of the YouTube uploads of it have the translation in English, as does the Miraculous wikia, so you can check it out there. Anyway, this was suggested by a reviewer a long time ago for when the School Festival rolled around and I liked the song a lot, so I agreed and have been working on the inclusion of it for a while. It should be noted that this song is from the upcoming musical animated Miraculous film, which does not involve the creator Thomas Astruc but is solely done by Jeremy Zag, so it is not confirmed canon within the Miraculous universe, and as such I've had to take my own twist on it in some ways. That's all I have for this longer than normal post chapter note, next up is the other chapter in this arc to be drawn heavily from the School Briefs books so plenty more to enjoy. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
