Here it is, the 111th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on the right day as promised. The briefing is over and the apprehension mission is now a go so it is time for the second chapter in Adrien's two chapter mission during the Endeavor arc. That is really all the administrative stuff that I have for now and there are no guest reviews to respond to or questions to answer so I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. That is all I have for this pre chapter note so that means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 111th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 111: Fugitive Apprehension

The trip to Fukui was uneventful for Adrien. As soon as Fei told them where to go he went to his room in the Agency that he had for his work study, changed into his casual clothes, grabbed his go bag after making sure that his mask, baton, and support item were in it, and then headed to the entrance area of the Agency. There Ben was already waiting for him with his own bag and a second one containing the special gear that they'd need. As soon as Adrien arrived Ben told him that it was all confirmed and that a ride to the airport was already outside, so they headed out and hopped into the car.

On the way to the airport Adrien contacted Fei right after it was confirmed that they'd be flying and that they would be on a charter plane landing in a private airstrip outside of Fukui and that they'd be there in 4 hours' time. Fei understood and agreed with the expediated and expensive travel, the Guardians actually had a stake in the private company that they were using via their Singapore branch, so it was already covered, and she'd meet them at the airport as she had enough time to sort out things in Fukui for them while they were on their way there.

At that Fei hung up and Adrien and Ben traveled the rest of the way to the airport in silence. Adrien was used to luxury thanks to his past life, so it wasn't a big deal getting to the special airport outside of Tokyo where private planes were, getting on the small but comfortable and fast charter plane that was waiting for them and taking off to Fukui. All of it was smooth and easy showing the level of sway that the Guardians had.

"This is certainly one of the perks of working for the Guardian Agency." Ben told Adrien as soon as the plane was in the air and on its way to Fukui. "They have all the nicest toys for such situations."

"Honestly I'm not too surprised." Adrien said and as he, unlike Ben, knew the full truth of the Guardians he really didn't surprise him. "They are a global hero agency so they must have some serious resources to go with that status."

"That and connections." Ben said. "Many Guardians run their own side businesses that help the overall operational costs including things like transport businesses such as this that help supplement the Agency in their own way. Usually, a jet like this would be used for the rich and powerful but one call from the Agency and we get priority for the mission. It is really useful like that. Add in the non-hero support system they have, the admin lot so to speak, and the connections that unit has between the two men who run it and, well, things really go quick in a situation like this."

"It is certainly helpful especially with the fugitive that we are after." Adrien said.

"More so with this one than most, the higher the priority of the fugitive the faster and this one is top priority given how long we've been after her and the small window we likely have to catch her today." Ben said as he leaned back. "Now take the flight to rest up, I need to discuss things with Beth and make sure she's ready for this as well."

Adrien just nodded as he saw Ben close his eyes as if he was asleep, but Adrien had a feeling he'd just retreated into his mind to discuss things with his sister. It was still a strange Quirk to comprehend at the best of times, so Adrien just left it at that as he relaxed himself and wondered what Marinette was up to and if she'd completed her mission with Mage, Selkie, and the Ryukyu agency.

For the rest of the flight Adrien just relaxed, it wasn't a long one, and in no time they had landed at the private airfield outside of Fukui that this company had ties to for such trips and came to a stop on the tarmac a fair distance from the small terminal that served the airport. It was only when they came to a complete stop did Ben open his eyes and get up, so Adrien followed him.

"I presume that Fei has already sorted out the stop hence why we are out here, but I'd expect no less from someone who serves a Guardian directly like she does." Ben said as the airplane door opened, and the stairs were lowered to the tarmac. "Best to not go through normal channels for this so as to not tip our quarry off that we are onto her."

"Right." Adrien said as they headed to the door, Ben stopped at the cockpit to give the pilots a tip and thank them for their discretion in the matter, before he led Adrien down the stairs to the tarmac below.

As this was purely internal within Japan there was no need for customs or anything like that and as they step out they were greeted by an unassuming four door car made by one of the many Japanese manufactures. It was definitely something that wouldn't look out of place here and as Adrien and Ben approached it the driver's side window rolled down and Fei greet them from it with a grin.

"Get in, I'll explain the situation on the way to the apartment that we're staying in while we're here." Fei said as she hit a button and the trunk popped. "Did you bring the gear?"

"Three special helmets that Sonic designed and Technus made." Ben said as Adrien took the bags to load up the trunk as he listened to what the helmets were. "Full sound proofing to the outside so sound won't get in though they have sensors to allow us to hear what she says but will shut down the moment she activates her Quirk and speakers to relay our voices to her but there might be a slight delay. It also has an internal comms system for us to chat during the mission without our words getting out as well. She won't be able to use precision attacks on our ears. Our bodies however is a different thing so we should be prepared for her bombardment attacks."

"Adrien and I wear special new age Technus costumes." Fei said as Adrien got into the back seat and Ben in the front before Fei gunned the engine and drove off towards a service exit that she'd clearly used to access the runway all adding to this level of detection avoidance that they were going with. "They are durable enough to withstand a lot of damage so long as it's not puncture based and we both have enhanced constitutions due to the fun of Quirk Marriages in the past so we're more than durable enough for this mission."

"So, they were present in China as well." Ben said as they hit the road and began to head towards Fukui. "Not surprising especially seeing as that was where the advent occurred."

"Yeah those early generations were very active on that front." Fei said. "What about you, can you handle it?"

"Beth will be the one fighting, she's the force of our Quirk." Ben said. "And she's extremely durable, it will take a lot to damage her. Back when we were still at school with Boom we faced her, well Beth did, in an exercise and her sound attacks bruised Beth and that was it. We are much stronger than back then so we can take it if need by even with Boom stronger as well."

"Alright well I've been briefed on your strange Quirk and understand it enough to leave it to you." Fei said. "We will need your force for the door knocking part of this as we are going to go in hard and fast to catch her. You have the substance that you need to make the change?"

"Always." Ben said and Adrien noted that he tapped his pocket to show that whatever he needed to bring out Beth was on him at that very moment. "Don't worry there, I've got enough to unleash Beth and give her control for a good 12 hours at least and if it comes to it there is a Japanese variant that will work though it doesn't provide as long a duration as the true stuff does."

"We shouldn't need more than 12 hours for this, likely less but good to know." Fei said. "This operation is going to be a quick one, either we succeed or, well, Boom's reputation is as well-earned as it is evil so the chances of this being a permanent failure are higher than a normal mission."

"What is the plan?" Adrien asked and decided he didn't want to think on the fatal part of this operation just yet as they had to succeed no matter what.

"It's not exactly much of one but I didn't have much time to sort it out as I'm not sure how long our window to catch her is." Fei admitted as they joined the highway to Fukui. "I basically tracked Boom and her entourage over land, after they landed and murdered the smugglers who brought them here along with sinking that ship, so they've got more charges added to their growing list of them, until they reached a safehouse. It's some private mansion high in the Ryohaku Mountains and within the Fukui Prefecture hence why we're going to set up in Fukui. In addition, it is not in the national park area of the mountain range, so we don't have to worry about governmental power restrictions to preserve it."

"That is good then." Ben said. "Avoids some issues though it isn't like her to hole up outside a city."

"She's trying to stay off the radar at the moment." Fei said. "Fukui is not a large prefecture, under 1 million people, and it is over 95% Japanese with very little foreign presence, especially western foreign. Add in that over two thirds of the population are over the age of 45 and an early 30s American woman who doesn't know Japanese would stick out like a sore thumb. So do you two for that matter hence why we're going through with all this elaborate avoidance of detection so as to not tip any potential spies for Boom or who she's planning on meeting that westerners are in the area as they'd assume that you're heroes after them if they saw you which is true."

"I gathered that what with the plane not going to the terminal, the car meeting us here, and what not but I presume that there is more once we reach Fukui." Ben said. "We scream hero agency heroes and with a fugitive in the area that would be the assumption by Boom as to why we are here so best to be precautious after all."

"I've rented out a top floor penthouse in one of the few tall apartment buildings that cropped up after the Quirk Wars when some agencies made their base here but it's still a little too rural for any heroes who are actually trying to make a name for themselves." Fei said. "That said it is right on the sea of Japan and a good place for us to set up a lookout station so Mage will look into buying either the penthouse I've rented or the building in general, for above market value so as to ensure it, so that we have an outpost here as well. I chose this building in particular because it has an underground parking lot to park this rented car in and a direct elevator to the penthouse, so you won't be seen."

"Alright good." Ben said. "Still, I've never known Boom to avoid holing up in an area where she can cause plenty of collateral damage and civilian casualties. When she was fleeing through south America she often hid in cities for that reason. After all it is easier to flee when the heroes are stuck rescuing civilians that the villain put in danger and the aftermath always makes the heroes look bad for allowing such damage to happen."

"It is easier for a westerner to hide in a city than in rural Japan, but this is different." Fei said. "It has to do with the owner of the mansion. I infiltrated it in my snake form after she got there to find out what I could, and it confirmed what I suspected."

"Who does the mansion belong to?" Adrien asked.

"A wealthy backer to the Meta Liberation Army." Fei said deciding not to reveal the fuller details she knew of that change as that was no doubt classified. "So someone who doesn't want too much attention drawn to them that someone like Boom might do had she holed up in Fukui or another city in the area."

"The what?" Adrien asked confused.

"They are a terrorist group from back in the day that was thought to have been defeated when their founder was imprisoned." Fei said. "They preach that the right to use one's Quirk freely without restriction is a human right that should not be infringed upon by the government and that violence against the government is justified if said government is restricting one's free use of one's Quirk. That is the core of their doctrine but in reality it was just a cover by their founder, a man called Destro, used to justify his terrorism."

"With the advent of Quirks, a new society was needed as the power people had with them needed to be restricted for the sake of humanity." Ben said showing that he clearly understood this as well. "That was proven with the Quirk Wars that ravished the world in the decades after the advent. Destro's philosophy was very seductive especially in a nation like America where individual freedom and freedom from government overreach and restriction are part of the cultural identity but there have always been restrictions because no right is absolute, and Quirks proved the need for such things. It was all of this that led to America being the first major power to descend into civil war after the advent and the first to end it with the basis of the current hero society being formed."

"Precisely." Fei said. "Destro was Japanese and caught during the wars but before he committed suicide in prison he wrote a manifesto that is still published to this day but updated for each generation so most of his original work has been rewritten over the years, but the core message remains intact. It is that manifesto that has kept his legacy alive and there are cells all over the world that would love to see it brought back but fortunately the hero society has stood strong."

"I am not surprised that his views are still popular here in Japan." Ben said. "I see that book often in the stores, so it is still popular here."

"Adrien, I have a copy in the apartment that I've left in your assigned room for you to read so you understand this as they could be an issue in the future as well." Fei said. "Right now, though we are just crashing the mansion of one of their backers, one who our financial crimes division is currently working on getting the necessary evidence to arrest him on numerous money laundering charges, but with the presence of a wanted fugitive there we can crash in without an issue and he'll also be charged with harboring a fugitive which will stick because of the nature of the mansion."

"Right, I'll look at it when I have a moment." Adrien said. "So, she's there to meet with this underground movement then?"

"It doesn't surprise me honestly." Ben said. "An anti-hero movement like the MLA that preaches freedom to use one's Quirk would be really seductive to someone like Boom who has a vendetta against hero society even if she was expelled from it for justified reasons."

"I read her reports while tracking her through China, this isn't new for her." Fei said. "She's hooked up with cells that followed Destro's philosophy over the years from American ones in Dallas and Kansas City all the way down through Mexico City and Caracas to Santiago and then again in Singapore. She's mainly worked as a hired killer for them, but it is clear that she agrees with their message as some of her destructive encounters have allowed for MLA inspired revolutions in the wake of her time there. It's no wonder that all this has sent her here to Japan where the movement was founded. No doubt she feels that with All Might retired that there might be a resurgence here so has come looking for it and made contact."

"Again, doesn't surprise me." Ben said with a sigh. "I'm pretty sure that Destro's manifesto is back on the best sellers list so there are definitely sympathizers here though they don't seem to be organized."

"With the current situation we can't be too cautious regarding them." Fei warned. "So that is why we are going in hard and fast in the middle of the night. I was able to intercept the courier that was sent for her, so she'll remain there for a few days before leaving but we go tonight to get her and her cronies so as to leave nothing to chance."

"Makes sense." Adrien said. "But still given her reputation I'm surprised she didn't bother to remain in a city despite the contact. Surely she would have just found some random place not tied to this movement and hidden there."

"Japan is on high alert after the Deika Incident the other week." Fei reminded Adrien. "So, no doubt she's been told to hole up away so that if something happens it won't cause too much of a scene which could have some blowback on the movement if it was learned that an outside American villain had come in to join them and the wreaked havoc on a city to avoid being caught."

"Given her power and Beth's it's not exactly going to be a clean take down even if the location is thankfully remote enough to avoid civilian casualties." Ben said. "And if I recall Adrien's Quirk is pure destruction and you've got some power to you as well."

"I do though with the helmets in play I won't be using my Quirk after I put it on." Fei said as they got into the city limits and began to make their way through it. "And Adrien's power will destroy but only inorganic materials, right?"

"Correct." Adrien said with a nod. "Not sure about sound waves though as they're pretty much air-based attacks and I can't destroy gasses though I can destroy solids and liquids."

"Avoidance is the best strategy for us while Beth is the shield when needed." Fei said. "After she breaks in that is."

"What is the precise plan?" Ben asked. "And force level approval because she will use lethal force on us."

"Boom is classified as an A-Rank villain at the moment so we can't kill her, and I can't use my strongest form but that shouldn't be an issue." Fei said. "The mansion works for us because it has an illegal and undeclared underground part that is where she's holed up as that is where the owner keeps his incriminating material. The only way to access it from within the mansion is through a secret hidden door with multiple locks. He had to be there to let Boom in before he went to contact his courier and then got away to have an alibi just in case she was caught there he could try and claim she'd broken in but with the underground part that defense won't fly."

"A good way to hide an underground complex just like the Hassaikai base we raided as it makes it hard for normal people to break in." Ben said. "For Beth…"

"It is a mild inconvenience from what I've heard." Fei said. "And Adrien can just destroy the floor if need be, but the plan is simple. Mage informed me that Adrien has a flight option with his suit and one of my animals is an eagle so I can fly as well. At 2 in the morning, we will transport Beth between us to the mountains, likely Adrien will carry her as I lead you there and then we drop Beth from a high enough height to crash through the mansion and the reinforced concrete floor and into the basement complex where Boom and her people are currently holed up to completely surprise them. If the helmets have infrared options that could help as well though as only one part of the mansion is over the complex and that's an entrance area so it should be clear."

"They do but I am not sure if they can pierce that deep." Ben said. "I've never used them before though so I can't confirm on that front."

"Well, I've got a good internal map that I made after I infiltrated the mansion, along with its official blueprints, so we will look over it beforehand so as to drop Beth in above the right spot to pierce the underground complex." Fei said as she pulled into a parking deck next to a tall apartment building and headed to the basement part of it. "So, we will at least get in and from there, well between Beth and Adrien walls won't be a problem for us."

"That is true but wouldn't someone like this have emergency exits." Adrien pointed out. "If he's rich enough to build an underground structure then surely he's paranoid enough as well to have an escape route that could at least be broken out of with a destructive Quirk like Boom's."

"He did." Fei said with a grin as she parked the car in a special space. "Let's just say that cave ins are such a problem when building a complex under a mountain."

"She can burst through that." Ben said. "At max power her concussive blasts can bend titanium so enough of them will break through pretty much anything."

"She could but then it would cause more of the structure to collapse on top of them." Fei said. "When I was done only a bug could get out of that safely, I made sure to test that myself. We will get her this time."

"Alright good." Ben said and Adrien trusted Fei in this, so he left it at that as she got out of the car and looked around.

Fei was doing a sweep to make sure that no one was out before she opened Adrien's door and he got out, Ben following suit, as Adrien and Fei went around the car and got their gear out of the trunk. Once they had it Fei locked the car and took them over to one of the two elevators in the area, the one without an up button but an electronic scanner on the side.

Once there Fei scanned a fob on her keys and the door opened at once. They hurried inside and she scanned the fob again on the panel in the elevator while Adrien noted that there were no buttons in it. The doors closed and they quickly ascended straight to the penthouse.

It was a quick ride and soon they were there and in a small foyer area like the one in Tokyo only there was just one door that was opposite the elevator. They quickly took off their shoes and put on the slippers that had been provided so that Fei could open the door and lead them into the living room of the apartment. She had to turn the lights on as all the blinds were drawn but as soon as they were Adrien looked around the area.

It was more decorated and filled than the one in Tokyo with a standard layout for the living room complete with sofas, an armchair chair, and a TV with bookcases and art on the walls. A corridor to on side led to a dining room and Adrien could tell that a kitchen was attached to it that wrapped around to the back side of the apartment. The other side had a corridor that led to a bedroom at the far end and a bathroom between it and the living room.

"That is the master bedroom where I am." Fei said pointing to the bedroom they could see. "Turn left just before it and there are two bedrooms, both with showers and toilets, down the corridor as they loop around. Ben, you have the corner one, Adrien, the far one that is basically on the other side of this floor to the living room. Rest up, you'll need it. We will do a final briefing no later than 1am so that we are fully ready before we head out."

Adrien just nodded as he grabbed his bag and followed the directions to his room, Ben right behind him while Fei took the gear from the third bag to her room to look over it. Mage would want a report before they headed out, so she intended on giving it while the others rested before finalizing things with the police in the area and getting some food for them. After that she could rest herself as tonight was going to be a big mission that they needed that rest for.

For his part Adrien just got to the simple room with a double bed, dresser, desk with a book on it that had to be the one that Fei had mentioned, chair, and bookcase and put his bag down as soon as the door closed behind. There was a toilet to the side that he used before he crashed on the bed to sleep for a few hours and be rested for what was to come.

He wanted to contact Marinette, but she was on her mission, so he'd wait as he closed his eyes to nap. He'd need it because soon he'd try and apprehend his first fugitive for the Guardian Agency. The mission had official begun and he was going to do everything he could to make it a success once he woke up.

Adrien didn't know how long he'd been asleep for but when he woke it was dark out though as this was winter it didn't mean much especially because it had been getting dark when they arrived at the apartment. He quickly checked his phone and saw that it was only 10pm so he had been out for a little over 4 hours and still had 4 more before they went to apprehend Boom.

He was hungry but as Adrien opened his eyes he saw a cold meal on the desk with a note on it next to the book, so he got up to check it out. It was written in French, so he easily read it and even before he got to the end he knew that it was from Fei.

Adrien,

This is a high protein meal, eat up as you can't use your support item with the helmet, so you need to get as much in you as possible for this mission. Once you're done, read the book to understand the ramblings of Destro as it should be important if not tonight then almost certainly in the future. Once you are done come through to the dining room, I'll have some more food for you and a final briefing.

Fei.

Adrien blinked at that, but he wasn't going to turn it down as he looked at the large meal of cold meat, sushi that was made from a protein rich fish, and a side of nuts and cheese. To drink there was a bottle of water, a bottle of milk, and a bottle of soda so he was set. Picking up the chopsticks that had been provided, Adrien began to tuck into the food as he opened the Meta Liberation War book and began to read the delusional ravings of its founder.

He read it as he ate, and Adrien had to admit there was certainly a persuasive message to it about how humans should be free to use their Quirks as a basic human right and that if the government stopped them then it was oppressive and tyrannical and thus needed to be fought against. The concept of free use of Quirks in society was a decent one and Adrien could see a compromise there to some extent, but complete free reign was bad given what a lot of Quirks could do and the calls for violence rather than seeking a peaceful compromise was too much for him.

All in all, it wasn't more than just a propaganda piece to justify the ideals of the writer, but it certainly showed Adrien how a charismatic vision could sway people and this Destro character was definitely charismatic. He also picked up what Fei had said as he could tell that the book had been reworked to adapt it to modern times as it used language Adrien was familiar with and seemed to be in line with current society despite having been written at last 150 years ago.

That said there was still the original message behind Destro's philosophy in the book and it kept with his charismatic views. It was no surprise to Adrien that this was still an important and influential book but things like these tended to be, and Adrien would keep it in mind going forward. He didn't agree with it though there were certainly nuances in society that could be adapted around the blanket ban on Quirk use by non-heroes but clearly people did see this book as gospel, so Adrien had to be wary of its ardent believers going forward.

He'd finished his food and the milk at least before he finished the book though it was short enough that he read it all in just under two hours. As such it was nearly midnight when he was done so he stretched, put his food containers in the trash and stripped down to his special boxer briefs. After using the toilet again Adrien touched his right to form his costume, grabbed his mask but not his support item, put on the utility belt, and his baton and left the room to meet up with Fei and either Ben or Beth he wasn't sure which it would be.

Turned out that it was Beth who was present in her full American cowgirl outfit minus her hat as Adrien found her and Fei in the dining room. There was a feast on the table that was clearly high in protein and which Beth was munching on as Fei ate at a better pace.

At one end of the table was a rolled-up piece of paper and three large helmets that would cover their heads and done in matt black with grooves over them for some reason. They had clear visors and what looked like speaker holes along the jawline but otherwise they seemed pretty normal. Naturally Adrien could tell that they would have a few tricks to them as they were clearly high-tech items and would be useful going forward.

"Ah Adrien, take a seat and get some more food in you." Fei said as she looked up at him when he entered and Adrien noted that for the first time she was in her hero costume which as a skin tight outfit done in a mostly red design with an orange center, black border between the colors and black markings on the chest, sides, and legs with her prodigious symbol right where it usually hung around her neck showing that it was likely the source of the costume. "We have a few more things to go over and you need to be as full as possible for this given how you can't recharge with that helmet on. I don't know how much Cataclysm will be needed tonight but better safe than sorry."

"Ben says that it was a design flaw." Beth said in her thick southern drawl and speaking in English while Fei had initially spoken in Japanese which they'd been speaking all day until this moment. "It's a general item that can mold to most heads, there are even special ones designed for heteromorphs, but it's not designed for recharging a Quirk like yours as it is sealed other than specialized airways, according to Ben. All I care is that that thing is going to ruin my hair."

"It certainly won't be good on that front." Fei agreed switching to her lightly accented English for this as she picked up the scroll of paper and unrolled it to reveal that there were two things in it, one a standard set of blueprints and the other a hand drawn map that she then laid out on the table with the blueprints above the map. "But they do allow us to breath and the visors are made by one of the Guardians personally, so they won't fog up. Really they are a marvel of technology but with the Guardian of Technology on our side it's a piece of cake for him."

"I don't mind, I'll use my Quirk wisely if it is needed and be ready." Adrien said as he began to eat more even though he was full because he understood what Fei was getting on about and he had time to digest this at least. "So, what is the plan of egress? I see that you have the blueprints and I take it the map is the non-official part of this structure."

"Bingo kitty cat." Beth said making a finger gun at him for some reason. "You are a sharp cookie aren't you."

"I would have preferred your brother here, but he is listening in so as to provide his assistance through you, and I understand that we need you right now." Fei said with a sigh as she wasn't really sure how to handle a girl like Beth. "But you are right Adrien, this is the map I made. I want you to study it as we eat so you can get a sense of it."

"Of course." Adrien said. "Can you give me an overview though; blueprints can only tell me so much and you've actually been to it, so you've got a better perspective on it."

"Correct and as we won't be inside it other than to break through it the blueprints are more for reference than anything else." Fei said. "As for the mansion itself, it is a simple two-story thing that was designed with more western tastes in mind so it's a simple matter of dropping Beth from the air to plow through it and follow the hole that she makes in it. Once we get into the lower part though, that is when things get interesting. There will be a heads-up feature in the helmets, but that shit can get distracting so better to know it as well and only use that feature if need be."

"I see, alright." Adrien said as he looked over the map to see that it showed that the underground structure was at least two or three layers deep and buried in the mountain as it extended back into it so that there was only a portion actually under the house just like Fei had said.

That likely meant that once they broke into the undergoing part they'd be in some unimportant part that according to Fei who started explaining it more as Adrien looked over the map she'd made just looked like a concrete bunker with only a door leading deeper into it where the real action would take place. It was certainly elaborate to create though rather simple in design compared to the one under the Hassaikai base as it was a series of corridors with large rooms off them for storage, accommodation, comms, and other things a secret supporter of the Meta Liberation Army might need.

There was one thing that Adrien realized as he finished listening to Fei's briefing and eating as the clock ticked to 1am and they had an hour to digest and be ready. That one thing was to do with his costume, and he remembered it because Fei had said that she couldn't use her own Quirk after she put the helmet on.

"Um about the helmets." Adrien said as they began the hour wait before heading out. "My space outfit, the mode I've used for flight before, is designed for a vacuum so it is a closed helmet system so I can't wear something over it. I can't really fight in it when underground or else I'd suggest sticking with it, but I can't wear that helmet to get there. Also, Fei, don't you have to fly as an eagle so you can't either."

"There is a little trick to this." Fei said as she rose and went to the helmets and tapped the tops of two of them and a set of handles rose from them that Adrien hadn't noticed before but explained the grooves in them. "This was added for quick transport when they had to be carried before being put on. An adaption as when the Singapore team went after her one of the members couldn't wear it until the last minute and they didn't have the means to carry it at the time. I'll carry them in my talons while you carry Beth, even with her muscle mass you can lift her with your enhanced strength and costume boost. Then after you toss her down we dive down and after we change we quickly put them on before going into the structure."

"Ah that makes sense." Adrien said before looking to Beth. "But, um, how will I carry you."

"Like a princess, it's the easiest way." Beth said with a grin. "Be gentle, it's my first time as few men have the strength to do so with me."

"I am sure that Marinette will understand." Fei said before giving Adrien a smirk. "And as revealing as Beth is it is better than Hagakure, isn't she naked when she fights?"

"That, that was well not different but yeah Marinette will be fine as it is battle." Adrien said with a sigh od resignation as he accepted that this was the best way to transport the only one of them who couldn't actually fly. "I can do that."

"Good now let's move." Fei said as she grabbed the one helmet without a handle and tossed it to Beth who easily caught it. "We head out in half an hour so anything else you have to do, do it now."

Adrien nodded as he headed to the living room to sit down and mentally get ready as he digested his second meal. Apparently Fei was going to meditate and do breathing exercises likely to get in the zone though as she'd likely be unable to transform with the helmet on her it made sense as she'd have to use martial arts to fight when it came to that so being mentally ready for that was a good thing. As for Beth, Adrien didn't know what she was doing and didn't care so long as she was in the zone as he waited the time out.

It felt like longer than half an hour but in no time it was over, and Fei's eyes snapped open. Adrien wasn't asleep, he was just lounging on the sofa as he waited for the go order when he noticed that Fei was up.

"It's time Adrien though from now on its Cat Noir and BB for you two should we have to communicate during the mission." Fei said as she got up and picked up the two helmets by the handles as Beth walked in. "And call me Lady Octo."

"Right." Adrien said as Fei led them to the balcony off the living room that Adrien hadn't noticed because of the downed blinds and opened the door to lead them onto it and Adrien rose his ring to his mouth. "Space mode, activate."

His costume rippled and for the second time on a mission Adrien's costume changed to its space mode and he began to hover where he was. At the same time Fei put the helmets down and the ground before she changed into her eagle form, Adrien noting that she had the same color scheme as her costume for some reason, and picked up the helmets before flapping her wings to hover before them.

"Adrien pick up Beth and follow me." Fei said which was still odd to hear her voice coming from an eagle's beak as Beth put on her helmet, a neck liner coming down as she did that likely was the final part of the sound proofing seal that the helmet had. "I can fly fast so it will only take a few minutes. Beth, what is a safe height for you?"

"I can fall off a skyscraper and the ground will come off worse than me though anything taller than 75 stories or so and I'll start to feel it." Beth said her voice coming out of a speaker in the helmet as Adrien picked her up into his arms on under her knees the other her back to grab her upper arm as they took off. "So, it doesn't really matter to me. I just need enough height to reach terminal velocity and punch through the mansion and its concrete base to reach that room, according to Ben that is."

"Good to know." Fei said ask they flew through the air.

That was all Fei said as she took off and Adrien followed her amazed at how fast she could fly though she could actually fly faster in dragon form, but she couldn't use that right now as she'd not been cleared for its use. Still, it was a swift flight and in less than 10 minutes they were over the mountains to the east of Fukui as Fei used her eagle eyes to find the mansion that she was looking for.

That took another 10 minutes thanks to the terrain before the large, two story, European style mansion appeared before them set high in the mountains with sprawling views of the city in the distance but set back enough that I could be on the ridge that it was on with an outdoor area in front of it that led to the cliff's edge. It was an impressive structure that wouldn't last much longer.

"Up and over this part." Fei said leading Adrien and Beth to a point over the back half of the mansion. "BB, use the infrared to make sure that we are over the right part to drop you."

"Looks good." Beth said as Adrien felt her move in his arms to look down. "I can see down to the structure below it se we should be above it."

"Alright, Cat Noir, go up and then drop her on my mark." Fei said as Adrien flew up so that he was a good dozen or so stories above the mansion to ensure enough of a drop to pierce the basement into the underground complex with their improvised human bomb. "Mark."

At that Adrien dropped Beth and she let out a roar of joy and angled herself so as to be punching down. There was no way that the house would withstand it.

"Well, let's follow a few hundred pounds of American female muscle." Fei said as Beth crashed into the roof, destroying a good portion of it, and kept on going down as she cut through the house like it was made of wet paper. "And catch us a villain."

With that Fei and Adrien dove after the American as she punched through the floors in seconds before she crashed into and through the concrete floor with a plume of dust. They flyers spun around each other as they dodged the debris and dove into the hole in the now ruined mansion.

As they did Fei tossed one of the helmets to Adrien so that as they got to the roof and changed mid dive with Adrien revering back to his normal costume and Fei to her human form they were able to jam the helmets on before they flipped in unison and fall feet first to the cracked underground complex floor that was still dusty as Beth rose from the crater she'd made in it. It had worked just as planned and they'd certainly announced their presence right off the bat.

There was no way that Boom didn't know that they were here, and Adrien was glad that he felt the helmet turn on the moment it was on him, and something shot out around his neck and down to connect to his suit as all the sound was removed from around him. That told him that the helmet was working and that he'd be somewhat safe from Boom's more subtle usage of her Quirk.

All this happened before he landed on one knee on the concrete with Fei landing the same way next to him and a little behind Beth as the dust cleared. Once it did they Adrien and Fei rose and looked at the double doors of thick metal that led into the complex before them.

It was time to attack and find Boom, or at least that was the plan until a shockwave that they felt but couldn't hear rocked the area and blasted the metal doors clean apart and at them which was saying something as they were thick metal sliding doors that looked like they might have taken a few blows from Beth to break. Whatever had hit them had been immensely powerful to blast them outwards and at them with bits of concrete still attached to the doors, but Beth just took a step forward and batted them harmless to the sides as the last of the dust cleared and Adrien blinked at the sight in the doorway.

Standing there and dressed in a simple white jumpsuit of all things, her hands before her, was the woman from the image Adrien had seen showing them that they'd found the right villain and she was grinning at them. Around her a dozen or so lesser villains with weapons or Quirks active stood ready to fight. It seemed that the villain would rather bring the fight to them than anything else which honestly they should have expected given her personality and penchant to fight her way out of situations such as this one.

"Well, if it isn't my old classmate, I'd heard you'd come out here when you didn't even finish freshman year but seeing you now brings back such bad memories of that nearsighted shithole in Texas." Boom said in English her accent American and west coast as Adrien heard through the features of the helmet that seemed to be determining that her Quirk wasn't active as she spoke. "I'll admit, this is faster than I expected after I slipped that net your Agency tried to ensnare me in in Singapore, but I guess someone got sloppy and let themselves be tracked. I'll figure out which of my followers it was and deal with that accordingly once I kill you three heroes on my way out."

"Boom, in the name of the Guardian Agency and with the permission of the US government, along with all the nations you've committed crimes in over the last decade, you are under arrest." Fei said showing that she was the one in charge while Adrien noted how worried her underlings looked at that which meant that Boom meant what she'd said and showed how she saw them as disposable to her overall goals. "I would say come peacefully but the fact that you came right here to fight through us to escape shows me that you won't do that."

"Of course, whoever you are, not that it matters to me as a stooge to the Guardians and their criminal attempts to stop me is a dead woman whenever she crosses my path." Boom said. "Besides, why would I surrender when you made such a lovely hole for me to get through and gave me three more government tools of oppression who would suppress someone like me when I can enjoy killing you on my way out."

"Yup, you're as twisted as the reports said you were." Fei said as she glared at the woman. "But I already knew that when I saw you kill those smugglers that brought you here."

"So, you've been stalking me, how cute but I don't swing that way honey." Boom said with a sinister grin forming on her lips as she spoke. "Don't worry, none of you will leave alive and I'll be on my merry way to join the reborn Meta Liberation Army a little earlier than they might have wanted but whatever. They understand how things are and once Japan falls in a few months I'll be able to lead a force back home at last and take my rightful place on top there as I help forge a newer, better, America that won't oppress people like me. Now be some good little dogs and roll over and die."

"Not a chance." Beth roared as she charged forward. "You're going down this time."

"The same as ever Beth but thanks for allowing me to monologue before attack, I do enjoy letting the scum that I purge from society know that I'm going to do that before I kill them." Boom said as she held out her arms and then brought them forward for a clap as fast as she could. "You're the same as ever, hit first and hope for the best so it's no wonder you came out here because you never would have graduated with that attitude. I've already killed two from that class who would go on to become heroes even if they didn't graduate with our year, it will be a pleasure to add you to that list."

Adrien saw what was happening and hit the deck as Boom brought her hands together before Beth reached her while Fei leapt up and forward to grab a broken pipe that had been dislodged by Beth's entrance. The battle had started and now it was fought to win which was just how Adrien had expected it to go.

The force of the shockwave shook Adrien to his bones even with his enhanced constitution and costume and he wasn't even in the path of it as it was a slice of sound the shot out from Boom's hands at Beth. Still, he could feel that he was being pushed back just from the air that was displaced from the shockwave and as such activated Cataclysm in his hand before he slammed it into the ground to push it into the concrete before deactivating it and ending the spread so that he could use the ground to avoid being blown backwards.

As such Adrien was able to let the shockwave pass over him without it sending him backwards. While this was happening it also went under Fei who used her move to swing forward from the pipe and kick one of the lesser villains in the face with a sickening crack that send her flying back down the corridor where she hit the ground and bounced a few times before rolling to a limp stop out of the fight.

That wasn't the only villain taken out in the opening attack as Boom's move caused friendly fire by hitting two villains who'd moved ahead of her to attack Adrien and Fei before her attack was launched in the sides with the distinctive cracks of ribs before being blasted diagonally into the concrete walls. Both hit the walls head first and slumped to the ground leaving a smear of blood on the walls and out cold at least.

Well, Adrien really hoped it was just that, but those had been some heavy hits so the villains would need immediate medical attention when this was over. It also showed how little Boom cared for her allies as she clearly didn't care that they were in the way of her attack when she launched it. Obviously she was all about the destruction and didn't care about anyone who was in her way be they friend or foe.

It was not a good sign at all as it showed how unrestrained she'd be, but Adrien could deal with that latter if need be because he was too focused on the main brunt of her attack hit Beth as he watched. He may not have heard the attack, but he could see the power of it as the shockwave cut through the air and passed under Beth's raised fist to slam into her chest just as she was about to reach Boom.

Adrien did note that Beth's rather impressive bust actually played to her advantage as it absorbed the blow somewhat, he'd learn later that it actually stopped her sternum from being broken, before she was stopped and thrown back with almost as much force as she was charging with. That really showed Adrien how much power Boom could use as he knew that it took a lot to blast Beth backwards.

The end result of the blow was as expected with the American woman being thrown back by the sound attack and crashed into the far wall with enough force to crack it and cover her in concrete dust. It wasn't enough to take Beth down, Adrien knew that, but it was a bad start and Boom knew that as well.

"Go, target that helmet and break it." Boom roared at the remaining 9 subordinates, well 8 as Fei had landed behind the last one thanks to her move and proceeded to swept his feet from under him and slammed a palm thrust into his chest as he was in the air sending him right at Boom's back as she spoke. "Make it quick while I dispatch the other two criminals we're dealing with here."

Boom then showed Adrien how well trained she was as she twisted and snapped her fingers at her own man sending a controlled blast of sound in a concussive ball at him that hit him in the back and sent him right at Fei before his body could hit her though Fei just leapt over the unconscious body and rushed forward. The sides of the blow were such that it staggered a few of the subordinates around Boom and Adrien took that as his moment to push himself off the ground and launch himself at the staggering underlings as this was just the opening he needed.

He reached the nearest in a second thanks to his raw strength and slammed his shoulder into the man's chin snapping his head back and knocking him out as Adrien sent his body back and into a woman preparing some vine or wire Quirk, Adrien couldn't tell which at a glance, that tangled them up together. Adrien ignored that as he landed on his feet and slid on the cracked concrete as he pulled his arm across his chest before thrusting it out to hit another villain in the chest with his elbow that staggered the man back as it winded him but wasn't enough to bring him down.

Still Adrien wasn't done as he had also used his left hand to pull his baton off his belt and extend it aiming it at Boom's head to try and knock her out with it like he'd done to Kuroiro during the joint training exercise as he came to a stop. He was really showing how he could move as he'd just taken down 3 more villains dropping the number of underlings down to 5 with 3 currently on the other side of Boom that were now rushing for Beth while the remaining two were approaching Fei to intercept her. Unfortunately, that was also where Adrien's skills ended.

That was because as the baton shot at Boom he watched as she clucked her tongue dismissively at him and the baton, well now extended staff, was moved up and out of the way by the force of the sound that she'd just created and amplified. It was certainly impressive and the brief moment it move the staff away was just what Boom needed.

"Begone you mangy cat." Boom said as she snapped her fingers at him causing another concussive ball of sound to appear as it was blasted at Adrien. "You're the least of my concerns here so just die and stop staining the world with your false heroism."

Adrien had no way to move as he retracted his staff and took the attack squarely in the chest, the friendly fire of it downing her three allies that Adrien had dealt with completely also occurring as Adrien was thrown back into the concrete wall by the attack. The only thing that kept him in the fight was his suit as he was sure that his enhanced constitution alone couldn't have withstood that blow without broken bones, but he'd be bruised for sure.

Well, that and the helmet which protected his head as he slammed into the wall and his head snapped back into it with enough force to still ring his bell. It did give him an idea though and he let himself go limp as he fell forward and crashed down to the ground to play dead there as he waited for his opportunity to counter.

As that was happening Fei had leapt up and over the first attacker coming for her to kick the one behind him in side of the head and send that woman into the wall of the corridor and out of fight before she landed on the ground as Boom fully turned to her. The fallen American near hero gave Fei a sadistic grin as she snapped both fingers at Fei to send two more concussive blasts at her to blast Fei back down the corridor and put her out of the fight.

However, Fei showed her dexterity by running at them and then leaping to the wall to her left to avoid the first one and push off it to get back into the main room they'd entered as she flipped over it to move over Boom while the final underling was downed with friendly fire as well. The way Fei was moving it looked like she was going for a move that would put her behind and close to Boom to quickly down her which was precisely what Fei was going for.

"Big mistake bitch." Boom cackled as Fei twisted over her and she saw Boom raise her hands as too spun to make sure the Fei wasn't going to land behind her. "In the air you're a sitting duck against me."

With that Boom sent a series of concussive attacks from her snaps at Fei. Fei did her best to avoid them but there were so many, and she could only spin and twist so much while she was in the air and not transformed before one finally hit her in the mask of her helmet and spun her around.

From there it was several more to the body, mainly her chest, and limps as Boom cackled snapping her fingers but clearly using less power than she could so as to only blast Fei upwards a bit with the attacks. All this was to torment Fei, the Chinese girl could tell that much, while Boom clearly built up the sound to unleash a massive sonic boom as the crescendo of her attack. That boom hit Fei's whole body as the sound was funneled up so as to only hit Fei and as a result it blasted her up and through the hole in the floor.

Fei continued upwards and through the ceiling of the first floor, then the second-floor ceiling, and finally roof of the mansion making a new hole in each of them in the process but between her enhanced constitution and suit she only suffered cracked ribs from the attack. Clearly sending her away and into the air was Boom's way to get rid of her and kill her with the ensuing fall.

Of course, Fei knew that wasn't going to happen as Boom didn't know her Quirk, so Fei was fine, albeit with several cracked ribs and a few stress fractures to her upper arms and shoulders, as she turned into her eagle form, caught the helmet and got herself under control before she even reached the apex of her ascent into the air. That and she knew they'd won, and her distraction had ensured that because she'd seen it unfolding as she was taking the blows.

Adrien too had seen it as he groaned and looked up at the man American villain laughing maniacally as she bombarded Fei above her before the final blow that created a new line of holes in the mansion. That was because as this was happening, the three underlings who'd rushed Beth were she was in the wall had been swiftly dispatched by the American hero with a few blows that sent them flying unconscious into the nearby walls.

With that done and Fei serving as a distraction Adrien had expected Beth to charge but instead the American reached down to her right boot, drew the bowie knife from it and as Boom unleashed the final attack on Fei and tossed it underhand and as hard as she could at Boom in one smooth motion. It was definitely not what Adrien thought would happen but in hindsight he'd realize that it was the best course of action and almost certainly done on Ben's orders.

The blade flew fast and true with point first showing Adrien that Beth actually had trained doing this before it reached Boom as her attack on Fei subsided. Boom was pulling her arms down grinning when the knife slammed into her right palm and through it with a spray of blood and bits of bone as it buried itself to the hilt and completely took out Boom's use of her right hand and causing her to howl in pain as she spun around from the blow.

"You whore of a c…" Boom roared as rolled with the blow and Adrien watched her finish her spin to face Beth who was pulling herself from the wall her shirt tattered but otherwise fine. "I will break all the bones in your body for that."

"Bring it sister." Beth said as she raised her arms in a guard. "I can take all you can dish now that you've only got one hand.

Boom just roared at that, and Adrien watched as she began to lash her good left arm across her body in wild arcs as she sent send blast after blast of concussive sound blasts from her snapping fingers right at Beth just like she'd done with Fei but only a lot stronger. Beth just took the blows on her arms as she raised them to protect her helmet and was driven back int the wall as the blows rained down on her while Boom frothed at the mouth as she screamed obscenities all while walking towards her fellow America, useless right hand by her side and dripping blood on the ground as she did focused all her attacks on Beth as Adrien watched.

That was it and he grinned as he pushed himself to his feet and crept slowly over the floor with his stealth as he approached the irate villain from behind. They'd done this by working together and playing off each other with Fei distracting Boom to get her to look up trusting that Beth would take care of the last underlings, which she had and made sure they weren't in Boom's way either and give Beth the time she needed to throw the knife and disable one of Boom's hands as she couldn't go for a killing blow.

That would then get all of Boom's attention and she proved that by raining the blows down on Beth who could take it the wall cracked and broke around her. That was the final thing they needed because it give Adrien the opening that he'd been waiting for since he'd hit the wall a few moments back.

"Die already!" Boom roared as she kept snapping her left hand and sending blow after blow at Beth. "Die like the rest who have tried to stop me from purging this world of the blight of heroes as vengeance for denying me my rights. All I did was do my training and defeat villains, so what if a few incompetent heroes got in my fucking way and died from it that just shows that they were weak, and I was strong. I shouldn't have been punished for that, but I was and now I will make the whole system pay for that damned injustice!"

"No, I won't." Adrien heard Beth say as the she was now covered and obscured by dust from the bombardment that she was putting up with. "At last, your crime spree ends, and you will face the justice you deserve thanks to Cat Noir. Now!"

That was Adrien's cue and he leapt up and at Boom, twisting and spinning in the air as he did. The villain had been so focused on Beth thanks to being incensed by the wound Beth had given her that she'd missed Adrien's approach even with her sound-based advantages and as she turned Adrien saw her eyes go wide in shock. However, by then it was too late for her as Adrien finished his flip and brought his right foot down in a flipping, overhead kick, the flip and gravity adding speed and force to it, and slamming it into the side of Boom's face.

There was a cracking sound that the helmets picked up as Boom's jaw was broken along with her cheek bone and several teeth were dislodged from the force of the blow with a few bursting from her mouth in a spray of blood, but Adrien had made sure to angle it so as to do this kind of damage but nothing more. As such all it did was knock the villain out and she crumpled to the ground as Adrien landed on his feet in a crouch next her as Fei flew in as an eagle and turned back to normal shoving her helmet on in the process as she fell to land on her feet on the cracked ground of the basement.

"Well, that was a little more than I expected but she did bring this fight to us which helped a lot in the end." Fei said as she winced which got Adrien's attention. "Don't worry I'm fine just some cracked ribs and other bones with a whole lot of bruises on top of it, I've had worse in my time."

"Are you sure?" Adrien asked still concerned for Fei.

"Yes, I can get sorted out later but right now we need get to work." Fei said her tone brokering no more arguments. "Cat Noir, use you staff communicator to call the cops and tell them that we have the fugitive I told them about in custody and need a full body immobilization rig and gagging to transport her along with medical for her and her underlings. That said I think she's badly hurt some of them to the point that they might not be saved so tell them to be as fast as possible. The police know of this raid and are on standby, I made sure of it when you were asleep."

"On it." Adrien said as he pulled up his baton's comm function and began to work.

As he was doing that Fei knelt down and fished a few teeth from Boom's mouth that hadn't been cleared by Adrien's kick to make sure she didn't choke on them and that her mouth was clear before she moved the woman onto her back and made sure she was stable. As she did this Beth approached and ripped her top off causing Adrien to turn around and stutter during his report as the woman wasn't wearing anything under her flannel shirt though he didn't manage to turn in time before he got a full uncensored view of them.

Fei just shook her head at that but understood Adrien's actions as Beth ripped up her shirt and handed it to Fei who used it to make a makeshift gag that would stop sound coming from Boom's mouth before using it to dress the hand wound though she left the knife in it as it was doing a good job plugging up the wound. Lastly she made sure to bind Boom's other hand and legs so that she couldn't make sounds with them should she suddenly come to.

It was as that was happening that Adrien was finishing up his call with the police and turning to them while trying not to look at the nearly naked blonde American with them. That was of course easier said than done.

"They're coming, eta 10 minutes with a chopper with medics for the worst of them and another half an hour to get the transports that contain the specialty equipment you requested along with a few ambulances." Adrien said looking around so as to avoid looking at Beth. "This isn't an easy place to reach but they were on standby and as close as they could be as they waited for your signal to come in."

"This will take some time." Fei said as she rose. "BB, monitor Boom and make sure she doesn't regain consciousness. Cat Noir, let's see to the others while we wait."

Adrien just nodded as they began to work to assess and stabilize the other villains while the cops and medics converged on their location. They did their best but the two caught in Boom's first shockwave blast attack would die on the way to the hospital which added two murder charges to her Japanese indictment, but the rest lived and were taken into custody though all needed extended stays in villain hospitals. After that they would be moved to various prisons in Japan as they were processed, and it was decided where they were to face charges.

The big one though was Boom who was fully immobilized, stabilized, and sedated before she was transported to a maximum-security villain hospital having finally been captured. Unlike the others she'd be sent to Tartarus Prison as soon as she was stable and held there until she could be extradited back to the US and tried there for her many crimes. As an American they got first crack at her and they were seeking the death penalty against her, which she was all but a lock to get, so it looked like her villainy was finally at an end.

After all that Adrien, Fei and Beth went with the cops for paperwork and evaluations at the local hospital. Despite her injuries Fei wasn't required to stay in the hospital overnight as the healer on staff patched her up enough to be discharged after a few hours. They would all have to have a checkup when when they got to Tokyo, even Beth who had some noticeable bruises on her forearms, breasts, and upper left arm from the blows she'd taken, and they couldn't fly but otherwise they were ok and discharged as the sun was rising.

It had only taken less than an hour to capture Boom at long last, the location helping a lot there as it had kept her confined from the start and prevented her from causing collateral damage or civilian casualties, but it had taken several more hours to sort it out. As such Adrien was exhausted when they got back to the rented apartment and was about to pass out the moment he hit the mattress in his assigned room.

They'd return to Tokyo tomorrow afternoon, getting in in the evening, and he'd see Marinette again after a second hospital checkup to fully clear him. The last thing that went through Adrien's mind as he fell asleep was that he hoped that Marinette's first mission of their second work study went as well as his had.

Well, there it is the conclusion to Adrien's own two-part story during the Endeavor arc and a look at what tracking down and capturing a fugitive sort of entails. This was more to give Adrien some battle experience and show what he was up to during this arc as well so there isn't much to really say on this chapter or this short arc which will come to an end with one more wrap up chapter before we move into the start of the third semester and begin the 4-month time skip material as we gear up for the upcoming Paranormal Liberation War arc. That is all I have for this chapter, however, so I will leave it off here. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads.
