Here it is, the 134th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on time as always. The special time skip arc is over and behind us now so it is at long last time to begin the next major arc in My Hero Academia and see how Adrien and Marinette affect the Paranormal Liberation War arc both directly and indirectly through past actions that have already altered this tale and for our Miraculous couple that change starts with their efforts to evacuate Jaku while the heroes begin the key raids. That is all the administrative stuff that I have for you, however, and there are no guest reviews to respond to or questions to answer so I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. That is all I have for this pre chapter note so that means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 134th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.
Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.
Chapter 134: Evacuation of Jaku
"If everything is going according to schedule, and I have no reason not to believe it won't with the amount of effort we've put into this operation from the top down and the efficiency of those involved in the planning, Endeavor's team should enter the hospital shortly." Ida said in one of the two groups of U.A. students that were part of the evacuation team for Jaku City as they stood on the hilltop and looked down over the quiet, peaceful city that would soon be the site of one of two great battles that day. "So we'll be moving out soon ourselves. Best to be ready for that order."
Adrien and Marinette just continued to look out at Ida's words. They all knew that this was coming, only moments earlier Burnin had effectively told them as much, but it was a little comforting to have Ida also mention it. He was always punctual and on schedule so with his input they knew that the time was nigh for their part in the coming mission.
Both missions would begin as simultaneously as possible at a set time so that the Meta Liberation Army and the League of Villains didn't have time to react to it. All of their forces had to be in place before this and they'd gotten word from the various commanders, mainly Endeavor and Edgeshot, that they were.
The most important of them, Hawks, was already in position and ready to make his move at the Gunga Mountain Villa where he was undercover. The number 2 hero was ready to act to keep Jin Bubaigawara, the villain known as Twice and one of two S-Rank villains at the villa, in check the moment the mission began.
Twice had been deemed the biggest threat on the battlefield today, at least at the moment the mission began, given how he was now a one man army and unlike the other S-Rank villain at the mountain villa he was awake and active. That meant that the villa raid team, which was also in position to strike at the go order, could as soon as the go order was given.
They'd also gotten word in from the handful of heroes who'd been tasked with the special, and unfortunate, mission of arresting their fellow heroes who were actually members of the Meta Liberation Army who unlike Hawks had their true allegiances to the MLA, that they'd been taken into custody. Those traitor heroes, all lower tier heroes with the most notable being some man called Slidin' Go who neither Adrien nor Marinette knew much about, had been kept in the dark of the plans to help preserve it but had to be arrested before the mission started as they'd notice that there weren't other heroes out.
Now that that had happened though, with Death Arms being the one to arrest Slidin' Go, they were one step closer to the mission beginning. All that was left was for the go order once the hospital raid team, the most critical part of the mission as that was where Shigaraki was believed to be, began they were to move out.
The ultimate goal was to avoid any conflict in Jaku itself but given who they were dealing with, Dr. Garaki was believed to be the man behind the Nomus, that was unlikely. The plan was good though and with the force at the hospital it should be able to secure Shigaraki while he was still being enhanced there so wouldn't be a threat but there would likely be fighting so the hospital would be evacuated first, that team led by the Wild, Wild, Pussycats, was already there, while the rest moved out to clear Jaku.
Only the outskirts, the area that could be cleared quickly without a fuss, would be cleared right away and that would be done by the Guardian Agency while the others present moved to designated sectors to wait for further instructions. With a conflict at the hospital likely, you never knew if such conflict would spill out, especially as the extent of Garaki's lab and Nomu collection was unknown, so it would be better to be safe.
Marinette and Adrien both understood this and they understood why they, along with almost all of the Guardian Agency who could be used, which in Japan was basically everyone but Mage himself, was here for the evacuation portion of the mission. They had the numbers, boosted in this location by those from the Seoul office who could be used, the urban training, and thanks to other Guardian investments the resources to smoothly ensure the early part of the evacuation.
The exceptions were Fei and BB as their power, and Fei's special status regarding S-Rank villains and the use of her dragon form which had already been authorized just in case, meant that they were better suited for the villa raid team. As such, they were out there while the rest were here with the couple and under the command of Burnin who was coordinating the evacuation team across all the agencies involved.
It made sense to the couple that they would be here as well. Between their powers, urban experience, and general combat abilities just in case something happened it was more appropriate to have them here than in the general rear guard with the rest of the majority of the first years. They didn't bring to the table what was needed for to put them in the attack force for the villa raid team, though Marinette could make a lightning rod same with Momo but it was a lot easier to use Kaminari's body as it also powered him up, to be used there so this way they could help and if need be fight.
However, unlike one of the other students in their group, they didn't want to fight as it was better to not fight in this situation if at all possible, especially with what might happen if an urban battle happened given the Quirks of who they faced. It was no surprise which of the students gathered wanted to fight though.
"Damn it, why am I back here and not right at the front where I'm supposed to be." Bakugo complained as he adjusted his gauntlets. "I should be on the front line blasting in that door rather than that damned bunny that Endeavor tapped to be the door kicker."
"Bakugo, we only have provisional licenses so we are limited in what we can do." Todoroki reminded him. "We can't be on the front lines for something like this. Besides, they've got plenty of support there already."
"Yeah and you've never seen Mirko kick her way into something." Marinette said. "That woman's got some unreal power in her legs, she's the perfect door kicker, especially when you add in her speed as well. You'd only get in her way if you were there as well, she works best alone and unhindered as she can really let lose that way."
"Shut it, both of you!" Bakugo roared. "I don't care what that annoying rabbit can do, I should be the one taking down those bastards!"
"We need to remain calm." Ida said trying to get into the middle of it while Izuku, who was with Ochaco, Tsu, Koda, and Fukidashi in the other group of first year students a little ways away was much calmer talking with them about completing their assigned duties successfully which they all agreed on while Bakugo continued to rage about being in the rear guard. "We have a vital role to play and we can't scare the civilians. This is evacuation, Bakugo, so be nice."
"I'm always nice!" Bakugo yelled which showed that he was not, in fact, always nice.
"Well evacuation is better than hostage rescue as at least his personality won't be too bad, hell it helps to be a little abrasive and intimidating when an evacuation is needed." Adrien said. "Just keep Bakugo away from kids and it will be fine. So long as things are efficient then his attitude should help speed things up in places."
"Agreed, we actually trained with Bakugo's personality in mind." Todoroki said as Bakugo devolved into snarls and growls at this. "So we've been broken up to do what is best. Midoriya will handle any kids we run into with the others while Bakugo and I deal with adults. That said, when properly motivated and with enough time to spare, I know from personal experience that Bakugo…"
"Not another word icy-hot." Bakugo growled threateningly. "We don't speak off…"
Before Bakugo could finish there was a sudden interruption from Burnin which Adrien noticed first and quickly reached to his support mask, an upgraded version since he'd first gotten it, and flicked a switch near his left ear. Burnin's reaction was to be expected as she was the one in direct contact with Endeavor so she was in the loop about what was going on and had just gotten the go order.
"Everyone, the heroes are moving in!" Burnin yelled to the assembled heroes in the evacuation team. "They're about to enter the hospital so that's our signal, move out, now!"
Burnin didn't even finish her order when she leapt off the hilltop and towards the city. She never touched the steep rock of the hill though as her Blazing Hair Quirk allowed her to fly so she skimmed over it as she flew towards the city as fast as she could. She was one of the main Endeavor sidekicks so she was a passionate, ambitious, and driven hero who expected others to keep her pace and they did as the heroes and students followed her only a second later and those who could sped up to catch up as she began to bark orders knowing that those not in earshot had radio access to hear as well.
"Evacuate the residents block by block as you've trained for, the Guardian Agency sidekicks will begin immediately while the rest of you head to the designated areas." Burnin ordered as Bakugo, Hado, Izuku, Adrien, and Marinette were all able to catch up with her either by flight in the first two cases or through enhanced speed that the steep downhill increased in the latter three. "Work at top speed and maximum efficiency. You know our mission, let's keep these people safe!"
They didn't say anything at that, they didn't need to, as they rushed down the hill and towards the city. They knew what this meant, that it was finally time for the mission to begin and they were all determined to make sure that it went down without a hitch.
As they ran, Marinette knew that this meant that her one time teacher back during her internship which felt so long ago, Mirko, was at the very least about to head straight for the location of the underground facility beneath the hospital to capture the doctor and either secure or, if necessary, kill Shigaraki. While she did this, the other heroes would evacuate and secure the hospital before backing her up.
Marinette knew that this was just the job for Mirko, the woman had speed and power that ranked near the top in the nation's heroes for both so that when they were combined she was a force to be reckoned with and a good part of why she was the number 5 hero in Japan. However, what made Mirko so effective and why she was All Might's successor as the hero door kicker was her lust for battle and utter fearlessness in combat.
That was because Marinette had learned in her internship, as she was pushed beyond her limits just to keep up with the battle crazed bunny, that Mirko lived every day as if it was her last so as to die without any regrets. That led to a super aggressive fighting style that she'd spent years perfecting and was just what they needed if a little reckless at times, but Mirko wasn't the number 5 hero for nothing.
Mirko may be insane in a lot of ways and pretty much lived for the thrill of the fight, an odd thing for someone who's Quirk was called Rabbit given how rabbits were prey animals, but she wasn't an idiot, she'd do her job and have fun in the process. The heroes couldn't have asked for a better person to lead the charge into the lab and secure Garaki as fast as possible.
Course that was right at the heart of the combat and not what the students were here for. Only those with Endeavor were set to do that, the students, along with the various heroes assembled, had their own, equally important mission and as they reached the outskirts of the city. The moment that they did they all began to set about it with the speed and efficiency that they were trained to do as the Guardian Agency sidekicks and work study students began their evacuation process while those with the Endeavor, Wash, Manuel, and Ryukyu Agencies headed to their designated zones.
It was quick, straightforward, and baring some stubborn resistance at times work that didn't need much comment as Adrien and Marinette set to it with all seriousness. As such it was uneventful for them until they were clearing the third block that Adrien heard it and knew that the mission had hit its first true obstacle.
Adrien knew this because his mask was tied into the com systems running the operation at all locations but the chatter within the HPSC command center itself. It was an allowance that Mage had worked out, one of the few things that he could actually do as part of this mission, so that the students could have a relay source for sudden changes or issues that would otherwise have to go through Burnin so it could bypass some issues if need be. It was a good idea and had been granted abut on the condition that it only be able to receive and not communicate unless there was an emergency.
It was pretty cool and helped keep Adrien abreast of what was going as he and Marinette helped clear out another building, in some cases carrying children and the elderly who needed assistance given their strength, so that was how he got the first big update. Thanks to how the system worked Adrien could now hear all that was said and any action going on at the hospital and the mountain villa depending on which frequency he tuned into, which right now was the hospital, but as he couldn't respond so he tuned it out for the most part.
However, this was an actual update that needed to be relayed as it could spill out and eventually affect them. That and he was sure that because of this the general evacuation order would be given if the containment failed, which given the sounds of battle that Adrien was hearing and trying to sift through, was a likelihood so it was prudent to be aware of what was going on now that combat was happening at the hospital.
"Team Endeavor is facing resistance." Adrien said in French to avoid revealing any intel and causing Marinette to turn to him the moment that she put down three kids she'd helped carry, her skills with children had made her one of the ones tasked with sorting out the kids, who laughed at the ride she'd given them making her smile as they rushed off to their parents who helped them onto the evacuation bus that had been designated for this sector. "Mirko found the entrance to the lab, fittingly it was hidden in the morgue, but Nomus were there, she sounded happy about that though."
"About right for her, I don't think she's actually faced one yet so she's not doubt been itching to get her feet on some." Marinette said also sticking to French as they hurried towards the next building where they'd be unable to chat to avoid a panic. "I take it that she handle them?"
"Probably though am not sure as it sounded like she just blasted through them and kicked them out of her way so they're probably out of the fight, or at least will be handled by the other heroes though I for one expect that that was just some of the Nomus defending the lab but thankfully it sounds the hospital is almost fully evacuated." Adrien said. "Her goal is the lab and it seems like the doctor was using a copy of himself to keep up appearances so he's likely there as well."
"Should have seen that coming given who the target is but oh well." Marinette said as they entered the building and headed up to the top floor as fast as possible while other members of the Guardian Agency helped clear it out the lower floors. "Anything else of note to report?"
"Seems the doctor has a Quirk so he's not Quirkless like his records indicate but that shouldn't be a surprise that he lied on the registry seeing as he's committed far more heinous crimes." Adrien said. "It sounds like he has a longevity based Quirk. Those were only theorized because of how long All for One has been around but this almost certainly confirms that at least one of them exists."
"That explains a lot but back to work." Marinette said switching back to Japanese as they reached the top floor and she pulled out a bullhorn that she'd been provided and Adrien nodded at her words as Marinette spoke into it. "Attention everyone, this is not a drill, there is a large scale hero operation going elsewhere in Jaku that might spill over. For your safety, you are required to evacuate immediately. Please leave your apartments and make your way down to the street in a calm and orderly fashion."
Marinette paused there as there was a fair bit of sound coming from the apartments that Adrien, with his enhanced hearing, could tell was a mix of complaints, grumblings, annoyance, confusion, fear, and in a few cases refusal. That wasn't good and so he turned to give Marinette a look that she knew meant she had to add the additional part of the speech, again.
"There is no current threat, this is a precaution just in case and allows for others to be evacuated just as smoothy if you cooperate now." Marinette added. "Do not worry, there is transport waiting to take you to a designated safe area outside the city limits. You will be returned once this is over. If you cannot leave for whatever reason or need assistance please remain, we will aid you and any doors broken will be reimbursed by the Guardian Agency."
Marinette hadn't even finished her second announcement when the doors opened and people left their apartments, some with bags, some carrying kids or pets, and headed down in a calm fashion though not all looked pleased with the situation. Between the culture in Japan and the years of training due to hero work evacuations were pretty straightforward even if it was rare to be on such a large scale with no immediate threat though that could suddenly change given what was going on at the hospital right now.
Of course, there were always some issues and Adrien began going to the doors that weren't open to disintegrate the locks to discover what those issues were as the other floors were evacuated as well. Thankfully this wasn't much of an inconvenience as they were actually a little ahead of schedule, it was why the outskirts were the first to be cleared as they could be done swiftly just in case there had to be a rapid evacuation from the area near the hospital. That part was being handled by the other agencies though and the couple trusted their classmates and the sidekicks to already be in position by now.
It was as Adrien and Marinette helped clear another building, their fifth in total, and the bus, part of a fleet owned by the Guardian Agency that had been provided for this mission, took off with them they got the word that they knew would be coming from Burnin. As they did they heard the ambulance sirens and breathed a sigh of relief as that was the sign that the most serious patients from Jaku hospital were likely now being taken away to the nearest safe hospital, which made sense and was part of why there was not citywide evacuation until in was necessary. Unfortunately, that was now necessary.
"Attention all logistical support units, it has been confirmed that Endeavor and his team are currently engaged in combat in the main area of hospital, which thankfully was fully evacuated just before the counterattack from Garaki." Burnin said over the coms devices that all of them had for this so it came in Adrien's right ear rather than his left which had the other com device to keep abreast of what was going on but he focused on the one in his right at the moment. "As such the city has now sent a text message to all the locals giving the official evacuation order. Those one the outskirts are to continue as they are while those deeper in the city are to clear their assigned areas immediately! Out."
"Time to pick it up." Adrien said as they heard the sounds around the city begin to increase as the other teams in their respective positions began to work while those evacuating already picked up the pace. "Deku's given the order to the others in our class minus Koda who's not with them to start in their sector. We need to keep moving and get ready because Koda's going to be using his Quirk soon."
"He's on animal evac and I trust he'll do it in a controlled manner, he's really gotten good with commanding large groups of animals with his Quirk." Marinette said as they moved over to the next street getting deeper in and noting that this was a line of houses where the people were already evacuating themselves, those with cars getting in them, which was good so they just needed to direct them but before they could actual sidekicks from the Guardian Agency arrived and took over that part thus allowing the couple to move another block deeper. "The one thing I'm concerned about is Bakugo. Is he at least being somewhat civil."
"Er, no bit it's going about as well as to be expected." Adrien said with a wince at a yell over the coms. "He's not happy but that might work well with some of the more stubborn citizens."
"Let me guess, he's shouting at people to get out." Marinette said with a sigh. "I mean it works but he could at least wait until they're being stubborn to get angry."
"This is Bakugo we're talking about, of course he's doing that already." Adrien said with a nod as they moved past more evacuating houses and towards another apartment block as that would be harder so needed their aid. "But let's move, we need to focus too."
"Agreed but keep me updated with what's going on at the hospital." Marinette said. "I trust our classmates and the pros in the evacuation team to get it done but I want to know how Mirko is doing and what the heroes' status is."
"On it, I can confirm that she's burst into the lab and…wait what?" Adrien asked suddenly as he switched to French to discuss what was going on at the hospital as they moved to the next building that needed to be evacuated. "That can't be, how would she even know that?"
"What?" Marinette asked a little worried as she too switched back to French.
"I think she just made a Looney Tunes reference of all things and I can't tell if she's realized it or not." Adrien said utterly stunned by that. "And yes, it's the one you'd expect her to make though the male one if I recall. I thought that didn't survive the Quirk Wars."
"Then likely she didn't realize but what are the coincidences that the person with a Rabbit Quirk that gives her rabbit ears and a tail would make that?" Marinette asked as they began to help coordinate people out of the building that they'd just come to. "Even is Mirko's a woman and the reference, which I can guess given the situation, was the one that the male rabbit made, the chances of that actually happening can't be high."
"Near impossible I'd say but best not to think about it or why Mirko said that." Adrien said as they entered to make sure there weren't any stragglers or people refusing to, or couldn't, leave. "She's in the lab and has found who she believes to be the real doctor but is going to confirm for sure if he's the real deal or not. Oh and Crust is leading the backup team to aid her while Endeavor and Aizawa lead the fight in the hospital. Seems like Endeavor is impressed with Aizawa's Quirk and offered him a sidekick spot but he's turned it down to teach us useless students."
"Harsh but not untrue." Marinette said. "And I take it Mirko's test to see if the doctor is the real deal involves…"
"Kicking him in the face, likely as hard as she can without killing him I…" Adrien said before he winced. "I think something got in her way and stopped her from properly kicking the doctor so this doesn't seem good."
"She ok?" Marinette said as they confirmed that the building was clear, a rarity that they didn't have to deal with any stragglers but the official order really helped, and rather than go back to the street they headed to the roof to leap to the next one and just go down. "Mirko that is."
"I'm not sure, it sounded like something's gotten in her way and given the doctor time and…" Adrien said as they reached the roof and ran to the edge and leapt to the next building like they used to always do in Paris back in the day while Marinette turned to look at Adrien but didn't say anything as he tried to figure out what he was hearing in the lab fight that he was now focused on. "I'm not sure but I think there are some more Nomus there, strong ones that are better than the normal Nomu it seems, and Mirko's been, by the sounds of it, blasted into something containing glass."
"That doesn't sound good but something like that won't stop her." Marinette said as they landed on the building, which they could see was already evacuating, and ran to the entrance on the roof to see if anyone needed their aid in evacuating. "Just inconvenience her and bring up her blood lust even more."
"Well whatever it is, Crust has gotten to lab and, huh these Nomus talk?" Adrien asked. "That's not good."
"Er…" Marinette said. "Come again? Are they like that one in Kyushu? You know, intelligent."
"I think so, or at the very least they are a serious threat." Adrien said as he heard it. "Oh, Mirko is still in it and yeah she's ready, as she calls it, fun. Seems likes she's all warmed up and eager to fight some more."
"Ha that's good." Marinette said with a smile at how Mirko was doing fine, by her standards at least, as they made sure the floor was clear but in the process found a locked door. "Right, keep in the loop but it seems like things are currently under control there so let's sort this out first. Kitty, if you would."
Adrien nodded and flared a little bit of Cataclysm in his right index finger to infuse it into the lock and controlled it to ensure that the lock and only the lock disintegrated. With that done, they pushed open the door to find an elderly man worried as he couldn't leave due to a bedridden wife who was currently asleep in what looked like one of those at home care beds though she didn't seem to have any tubes or what not going to her which was a good sign.
"I've got this m'lady." Adrien said in French before switching back to Japanese as he walked up to the man while Marinette remained in the hallway. "Go on down to the next level and help out there."
"Got it." Marinette said as she moved down where she'd encounter a family with 5 kids below 10 that she'd assist with. "I'll leave you to handle this."
"Sir, what is the issue?" Adrien asked as Marinette left and getting the man's attention. "There is an evacuation order, you need to be out but if there is a problem then let me be of assistance to you and your wife."
"Oh, good hero, yes I could use some assistance." The man said turning to Adrien a look of relief on his face. "My wife, she can't walk well these days and her wheelchair broke last week. We were meant to get it fixed but haven't had time as our children and grandchildren live far away so we haven't had the been able to manage that yet."
"No worries, I'll carry her." Adrien said as he walked up to the woman who he confirmed was sleeping in it but he had to ask just to be safe. "Um, she is asleep, right?"
"Yes that's the other issue, she just took her medication and she causes her to nap for an hour afterwards." The man said. "So it's hard to wake her and if we're to evacuate I need to get the rest of her medication."
"Get what you need, there are buses waiting with people who have medical training so you will be in good hands." Adrien said as he tuned out the sounds of battle in his left ear, seemed like Mirko was having fun and doing well so he was sure that she could at least hold out until she got support and thus he could fully focus on the evacuation efforts. "And I'll carry you too."
"Are you sure?" The man said as he went to a cabinet nearby and opened it to pull out a large box that was split into sections with days of the week on them and filled with pills along with a schedule on it for him to follow as it seemed that he was his wife's primary caretaker. "You don't look too old or strong."
"I'm a first year at U.A. helping with the evacuation and I have a provisional hero license so I know what I'm doing." Adrien said as he walked over to the man and picked him up with ease and then moved him so that the man could wrap his arms around Adrien's neck from behind to hold on and leave Adrien's arms free before he walked over to the man's wife with any strain. "And while it's not a Quirk, I do have an enhanced constitution that makes me stronger than a normal human would be."
"Oh I see, the product of a Quirk Marriage then." The man said surprising Adrien with his knowledge as Adrien reached his wife and picked her up bridal style, it was clear that her only ailment was trouble walking as there were definitely no tubes or bags to deal with when he moved her, and then hurried at a good pace to the door. "I thought those died out with my grandparents generation."
"They did, well my great grandparents as I'm a foreign student, but the results persisted through the generations." Adrien said. "Even marriages for love, with the circles my parents are from they are still strong Quirks descended form Quirk Marriages so the results are basically the same."
"I see." The man said. "And if you are a foreigner then I must commend you then, your Japanese is flawless without a trace of an accent."
"Thank you." Adrien said as he began to make his way down the stairs to the exit, each other floor either fully cleared or with some stragglers that were being helped by whichever sidekicks had made it to the building and were assisting so Adrien just carried on down to the street and chatted with the man as it seemed like it might help keep him calm. "I grew up learning Mandarin in addition to my native French, English as well for that matter as I spoke both from as early as I can remember, so I have a knack for languages and picked up Japanese before coming to Japan for school."
"Impressive." The man said as Adrien reached the first floor and headed to the exit glad to see that the man was still nice and calm. "Thank you, I didn't want to leave my wife and I'm not sure what is going on but with the current times being like before All Might rose to prominence in this country I know to be prepared."
"Just trust us heroes." Adrien said as they exited and he went to the nearest waiting bus and handed the wife over to the sidekick there who took her as Adrien set the man down. "This hero will look after you now, I've got more to help."
"I understand." The man said before he turned to the sidekick and explained his situation as the sidekick began to take the wife onto the bus with the man following him on but as he did he called out one last time to Adrien. "Thank you young man, it's seeing students like you that make me hopeful for the next generation of heroes."
Adrien smiled at that before he turned in time to see Marinette helping the family out and they were soon taken care of by another sidekick who was clearly specially trained in this part of evacuations. They didn't say anything more, the time for talking was over now and as they headed past a line of family pets that Koda was in charge of, they made their way to the next building.
Hopefully things were going well, it sounded to Adrien like Mirko was just about holding her own and having fun as she fought through the Nomus she was dealing with, but they couldn't focus on that just now. It was time to really kick up the evacuation and the couple got right back to it moving with the swift efficiency of their training.
Still, as they worked they hoped that the hospital would be taken soon and without any casualties on their side or threats spilling out, but more importantly they hoped that their friends outside of Jaku were good. Those who were in the rear guard in the forest a good distance from the mountain villa were fine for the moment but those attacking weren't because as they moved Adrien flicked over briefly to the other frequency to get an update on them and as he did he head the go order for Team Edgeshot meaning that the raid on the mountain villa had also begun.
The mission was full go and what would become known as the Paranormal Liberation War was now officially being waged as Adrien and Marinette continued to evacuate Jaku while the heroes worked to end the war as soon as it began. Alas, that wouldn't be the case for this was just the start of the horrors that were to come that day.
I think that's a good place to leave the chapter off, a nice little bit of ominous foreshadowing with a tease of what the next chapter will look like. There really isn't much more to say about this chapter as this is just the start, the evacuation part from Marinette and Adrien's perspective with Adrien being in the loop about what is going on but this is just the start of the Paranormal Liberation War, the crazy stuff is still to come so stay tuned as this arc will take up at least 6 and up to 8 chapters depending on how things go. Lastly, to those who only watch the sub (and I can't confirm if it's the same) the Looney Tunes reference is canon as in the dub Mirko says to Garaki upon seeing the real version in the lab 'What's up, doc?' though in her own way and not how Bugs Bunny which I personally found hilarious. It is, in my opinion, one of the two best western media references in MHA alongside a reference to Thomas the Tank Engine in the Vigilantes prequel comic. Anyway, that is all that I have for y'all, next up we shift to the start of the other half of this massive mission and see how that is going but for now I will leave this chapter off here. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
