"Eric, you have the press junkets from 8am to 7pm, I have your lunch coming at 11 and a snack at 4, I'll have your dinner ready at home. Sophie called, but I told her you were busy. I don't know how she got my number after I changed yours again." Sookie rattled off to Eric.
"Where is Pam?" Eric asked his assistant Sookie.
"Eating babies, consuming the souls of weak men. Who knows." Sookie said dismissively, while she had her's and Erics phones next to each other while she synced something on them.
"Did She call you and say anything about the part in the DeCastro movie?" Eric asked.
"do you ever read your emails?" Sookie asked with a smile finally looking up at him.
"nope, thats why I pay you." Eric grinned. They both turned when they heard Erics front door open and slam shut and the clicking of heels coming into his kitchen. Pam was coming.
"Sookie, he's not dressed." Pam snapped looking at Eric who was standing next to Sookie in just his boxers.
"The car isn't going to be here for an hour, he has time." Sookie said waving her off.
"Sookie, don't you dare try to dismiss me." Pam sneered.
"I don't work for you Pam. I work for Eric, so be gone she beast. I'm busy." Sookie said dismissively flipping her hand at Pam a second time.
"Eric, cut her loose or I quit." Pam said turning to him.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye then." He said stepping behind Sookie and putting his arms around her shoulders while she was still fiddling with their phones.
"Eric, I don't understand. We were a perfect team until 4 years ago when you hired this harpy, now she's calling all the shots in your life like she's your wife." Pam whined.
"I have a boyfriend Pam, you know that." Sookie said still not looking up.
"I don't understand how you spend all day with a naked or near naked Eric and you still go home to the rat looking nerd." Pam spat.
"Because I was hired to take care of Eric, not sleep with him. I'm an assistant, not a prostitute. He also isn't attracted to me." Sookie said as she finished what she was doing on the phones. That was all bad intel, he absolutely was attracted to her. He adored her, hell he'd even go as far as to say he was in love with her. Her boyfriend was the bane of his existence
"Isn't he?" Pam looked up at him with a knowing smirk.
"Pam, I am a professional." He said not answering her question at all.
"Here, Eric. Now you have access to my personal email too. you can see everything I have going on for you without forwarding 60 emails a day. I doubt you'll read any of these either though." She said handing him his phone back. His eyes lit up. Sookies personal emails were now his to read. She didn't specifically say to only read what pertained to him, so he knew what he was doing tonight in bed.
"I probably won't read any still." He said with a smile and thinking, won't read any that pertain to meeeeeee, but I will read everything personal to you so I can love and cherish you better.
"I figured. I'm going to go get your clothes." Sookie said walking away to go upstairs to his room to pick him an outfit. He watched her walk away with a huge smile on his face until Pam cleared her throat, arms crossed, scowling at him.
"Being in love with your assistant is a huge liability, Eric" Pam said leveling him with a look.
"I have never touched her, Pam. She has a boyfriend and has the whole time she has worked for me. I'm not looking to home wreck and she's not that kind of girl." Eric said defensively.
"Eric, there are gay rumors because you haven't dated anyone since you hired her. You won't even showmance with Sophie anymore." Pam whined.
"So? Let people think whatever they want I don't care." Eric said with a shrug.
"It's bad for your image as a heartthrob leading man." Pam said leaning over him menacingly.
"I don't really give a shit. I like playing a villain or morally ambiguous character better anyway." He said making Sookies dismissed hands at Pam making her grab his wrist.
"Do that again and I will snap it off." She growled.
"Let go Pam. Pant's time Eric." Sookie said handing him a pile of clothes. Pam roughly shoved his wrist away and stared at Sookie.
"I hate you." Pam spat at her.
"Oh no…" Sookie said acting fake upset "just kidding, I don't give a fuck." She finished as she went into the laundry room and got Eric a pair of socks.
"Eric…" Pam growled.
"Have you heard about the part in the DeCastro movie?" Eric asked trying to change the subject.
"Not yet, but they wrote the part of leads best friend who is both sleeping with his wife and a police informant with you in mind. Nothing is set in stone, but they literally envisioned this part for you, and its a villain, your favorite." Pam said finally looking away from Sookie.
"It's a juicy part, I want it." He said excitedly.
"Marvel called, they still want you and their pockets are deep." Pam said like she was trying to entice him.
"I don't think taking a roll in a cinematic universe that has been on a steep decline for the last 5 years, where each project to received worse and worse by audiences to the point it's becoming a pop culture joke is going to be good for my career." Eric said squinting his eyes at her.
"Eric, they are offering 10 million for two movies and you get to pick your roll." Pam said with frustration.
"Yeah, offering money blindly and letting me pick my part instead of casting isn't telling me they have anything good on deck. Pass. I don't need money that bad." Eric said slipping on the button down shirt Sookie brought him, Sookie sliding in front of him started doing up the buttons. He didn't need her to button his shirt, but he wasn't saying no either. Sookie touching him was always going to get the green light.
"Okay, nice and handsome." Sookie said patting his chest and smiling. "I have to go run errands. Have fun at work and play nice with your friends." She finished as she set his wallet, keys and phone right in front of him so he didn't leave without them.
"Ta ta, Snookie." Pam sneered.
"Fuck you, too Pam." Sookie said flipping her the bird, making Eric smile as he watched her walk out of the house, following her around the corner so he could watch her walk out the door.
"I sent you 15 highly qualified assistant candidates, but you hired hillbilly Barbie that you met when she was your waitress at some shitty dive bar." Pam said shaking her head.
"And somehow, Sookie is better at the job than the 3 assistants I burned through before I found her, and she was a bar tender, not a waitress." Eric corrected.
"That changes nothing, Eric. She's a damn witch. She has cast some sort of spell over you." Pam spat.
"Am I or am I not where I need to be when I need to be now?" Eric asked.
"yes." Pam gritted out.
"And you constantly have access to me?"
"yes."
"I'm dressed appropriately, at all times?"
"yes."
"My affairs are always in order and I'm more focused on my actual job?"
"Yes, fine Eric. she's good at her job and she handles your weirdness well, are you happy?" Pam yelled.
"yes, I am. Car's here, let's go do press." Eric preened gloating as he walked past Pam who stomped to the car behind him as they headed to the hotel to do press for his latest movie.
Eric did his press and when he got home Sookie had made him dinner as promised. The evidence she had been all over his house all day was everywhere. he saw her sweater slung over the back of the chair and it made him smile. He took a brief moment to imagine that she was upstairs waiting for him. He sighed, and sat to eat his food. She wasn't his and probably wouldn't be. He couldn't even find a person like Sookie to date in Hollywood. Everyone was part of the machine. A huge part of her initial appeal was she wasn't from here and had no interest in the industry. She had moved to be with her boyfriend and was just working in a bar because that was what she knew. She had previously been a bar maid in the tiny town in Louisiana that she had grown up in. She was kind, generous , helpful, she loved her family. He knew for a fact a large amount of her paycheck was sent back home to her Gran and she had been over the moon when she finally had enough money saved to redo her Grans driveway and she was already planning how to remodel her Grans kitchen.
He had met Sookies Gran a few times. She was a spit fire. He knew that was where Sookie got her fire from. When he visited her home she treated him just like any other person. She even had him help Sookies brother fix some shutters on the back of her house. Gran had taken to calling him a few times a month after he visited to see if he was doing okay. Of course he always was, because Sookie was taking care of him. Gran had almost nothing nice to say about Sookies boyfriend Preston which pleased Eric to no end. She wasn't impressed by him when they first started dating and for some reason her dislike of him had only grown as the years passed. Preston hadn't joined them for the trip to visit Gran while they had been in New Orleans while he was doing location shots for the last movie he filmed for a reason. Knowing he wasn't welcome in her Home, but he had a standing invitation to come visit with or without Sookie made him feel smug to no end.
He also didn't care for Preston. He was a tech bro, and a condescending little shit. He constantly talked to Sookie like she was a moron and it drove Eric up a wall. If he felt like It wouldn't hurt the working relationship with Sookie he would ban Preston from his presence. He didn't really see what she saw in him, but Preston was responsible for delivering Sookie to him so he couldn't hate him all that much.
He finished his food and went upstairs to shower and get ready for bed. When he finished he grabbed the book he was reading, but quickly put it down in favor of going through Sookies emails. It was mostly nothing that interesting, until he found emails between her and a woman named Amelia. Apparently, this was Sookies best friend. He also found out she was flying out to LA the following week to hang out with Sookie. His schedule was pretty light because he was between projects and he was spending this week doing most of the press for his new movie and he didn't have to do the premier cycle until the week after. Gran loved him, he and Jason got along well, now he wanted to endear himself to Sookies best friend, who apparently also had a very low opinion of Preston. Now all he had to do was to find a way to get Sookie to invite him to meet her best friend while she was in town.
Sookie walked into Erics room the next morning. She had just had another blow out with Preston. He wasn't impressed with her inviting Amelia to stay with them while she visits. Amelia needed the support. She had finally divested from her father and in return he had cut her off. Amelia needed to regroup and Sookie paid half the bills. She was entitled to help her friend. Preston was getting on her nerves lately. He didn't like Amelia, he didn't like Gran and Jason, He didn't like her job and how much time she spent at it, despite her working less hours than he does. She didn't know what Preston liked anymore, because he seemed to be endlessly sour about everything.
She set the cup of coffee down on the night stand and leaned to wake Eric up. He hated alarm clocks, her number one duty was personally waking him up. His inability to be places on time was a big reason Pam had insisted her get an assistant.
"Eric….." She said gently.
"mmmmm…" he groaned rolling onto his back showing a significant tent in the sheets that Sookie shamelessly took a moment to stare at and wonder about before she went back to her task. Eric was after all a very handsome man and the fact that he was well liked by literally everyone he comes into contact with only makes him more attractive.
"Eric sweetie, you need to wake up and start your day." She said sweetly.
"No, I don't want to. I'm warm and comfortable." He whined.
"I'm sure you are, but Trey will be here soon for your training session and you need to get up." Sookie said more sternly.
"You don't understand whats going on in this bed. Here, get in, see what you are asking me to give up." Eric said with his eyes still closed, his voice still scratchy.
"I believe you, Eric." Sookie said with a laugh. "It's time to get up though. I brought you your coffee and I started your breakfast." Sookie said.
"Will there be bacon?" He asked opening one eye.
"Are you going to be a good boy and get up?" Sookie asked sitting on the edge of his bed next to him. He reached over and hugged her body and made and AAARRRGGGGG sound.
"Yes, I'll be good." He finally relented and let her go before sitting up and grabbing the cup of coffee.
"Thank you. I didn't want to have to call Gran and fly her out to have her make you pick your switch." Sookie said with a smile.
"Don't tempt me with a good time. We both know I want you to fly her out here and that she would never make me pick a switch. She'd get on you for picking on me. I'm her sweet boy." Eric gloated.
"Don't joke like that, Eric." Sookie said. She missed her Gran terribly.
"I'm not joking. Bring her out next week. I'm not doing anything." Eric said finding his Segway into meeting Amelia.
"I can't my best friend is coming out to visit. She's having a crisis and I need to be there for her." Sookie said.
"Bring her with you here during the day. I want to meet her and she'd just be board at your apartment while you are at work." Eric said.
"What, really?" Sookie said
"Yeah, I want to meet her." Eric said.
"Are you kidding, Eric? That would really help me out. Preston was already pissed about her staying with us. Having her not be there without me would help a lot to keep his freaking out to a minimum." Sookie said hopefully.
"Have her stay here then. I have space, you are here most of the time. It's no hardship. You said she is having a crisis, I don't want her feeling unwelcome around Preston when she's already down." Eric said smiling.
"Eric I can't ask that of you….." Sookie said looking at him and melting a little.
"You aren't asking. I'm offering." Eric said reaching out and putting a hand on her thigh.
"That would seriously take the heat off me with Preston. He was really bent out of shape about her visiting. He doesn't like her." Sookie said feeling a little ashamed.
"He also doesn't like Gran, Jason or Me, and thinks Pam is funny. His reads on people are pretty trash, so I assume Amelia will be awesome." Eric said with a smirk.
"I don't even know if he likes me anymore." Sookie mumbled.
"What?" Eric asked he hadn't heard what she had said.
"Nothing, I think I will have her stay here. She doesn't need Prestons shit right now." She said putting her hand over his.
"I'll make myself scarce and you can have yourselves a little girls sleep over or something." Eric offered.
"Eric…" Sookie said leaning over and starting to cry.
"Oh God, what did I say?" He asked concerned, and leaning to pull her to him.
"Nothing, Eric… it's just… you're just my boss and you are more concerned with me, my friends and family than my own boyfriend. you're saying everything I want Preston to say, but he will never say." Sookie sobbed.
"I'm sorry, I just really like you and care about you. I understand I pay you for what you do for me, but the impact on my life is bigger than what money can pay for. In the last 4 years my career has exploded because of your support. Your friends and family are who made you how you are. They are important to me because you are important. You wouldn't be having your friend come here and say she was in crisis if she didn't actually need some companionship right now. Please stop crying. Would it help if I yelled at you?" Eric said with a smile.
"Thank you, and no you don't have to yell at me. Thank you Eric. I appreciated it so much." Sookie said reaching over and meeting his hug.
"Sookie, I need to get up, but I'm naked and I don't need you filing a sexual harassment suit, so you have to let go now." Eric said playfully. She let go and got up.
"Sorry." She said with a giggle and left.
The doorbell rang and she let Trey inside.
"He just woke up, you can head into the gym. Can I get you something to drink?" Sookie asked. Trey was wearing gym clothes and carrying a bag.
"One of your special Sookie coffees would be great." Trey said with a smile.
"I'll bring it down to the gym for you." Sookie said with a smile as they went their separate ways.
A week later sookie was picking Amelia up from the airport.
"Oh it's good to see you. Did you get everything important put into storage?" Sookie asked hugging Amelia when she saw her at baggage claim.
"I did, I am officially homeless." Amelia said with a sigh.
"You are going to bounce back. You have been squirreling away money in places Copley can't find it since he started all this arranged marriage crap with you. You couldn't marry that guy, Ames. First, I'm pretty sure Claude Crane is gay. Second, this isn't 1645 selling your daughter for business purposes is messed up." Sookie said rubbing her hands up and down her arms as they started grabbing Amelias bags.
"So, how pissed is Preston?" Amelia asked as they walked to Sookies car.
"He's always pissed. You are staying with my Boss Eric though. He offered and Preston was on a three day tantrum. You wouldn't have gotten any healing done there." Sookie said.
"Eric Northmans house! I'm staying at his house!?" Amelia yelled.
"Yeah, don't get excited. I'm there most of the time, you'll be short on time to seduce him." Sookie said giving her a smile that didn't reach her eyes. She really hoped Amelia wouldn't be seducing him.
"I wouldn't dare to graze him with even one claw. I know how you talk about him. I know it would bother you." Amelia said with a smirk.
"What are you saying?" Sookie said outraged.
"You have a crush on him. You have since he came with you to Grans last year when Preston refused to meet you there." Amelia said plainly.
"I do not! I have a boyfriend." Sookie said incredulously.
"Listen, who do you prefer spending time with? Eric or Preston?" Amelia asked.
"Its not like that . Eric is my boss. Preston and I are just in a rough patch." Sookie said shaking her head.
"Sookie, you ran away with him to California to spite everyone who didn't like him. You're just staying because you don't want to admit everyone is right about him being a tool." Amelia said.
"Okay, Preston is now a forbidden topic." Sookie said tightly.
"Ive said what I wanted to say, that's fine." Amelia said with a shrug. They drove the rest of the way just discussing the fall out between Amelia and her father. Sookie was taking her tomorrow to go get her own cell phone plan. Her father had cut off her service, but Amelia didn't know how to get her own phone. She didn't know how to do much of anything, which was terrifying for her.
"Ame's, don't freak out. I have you. I'm going to help you with everything. We have a week of you staying at Eric's before his schedule gets wild again, and I have to do some traveling with him. While I'm gone though you can use my car and I'll only be a call away for you." Sookie assured her.
"I'm just scared. I have my passport, but I need to get copies of my birth certificate and social security card. My Dad wouldn't give them to me." Amelia said.
"Well, the passport will get you anything you need in the right now. It's great you have that." Sookie said.
"I just feel like I don't even know how to be a person. What am I going to do for work?" Amelia said starting to cry.
"you have some cash to buy you some time. You will find a job." Sookie promised. "We're here" Sookie chirped as they pulled into Erics garage.
"Welcome Home, Ladies." Eric beamed as he walked out to greet them before they were even out of the car.
"Wow." Amelia said taking him in. "You are way way taller than you look in movies or tv."
"Thank you, I was an expert grower, and my father was part giant." He said with a smile going to Sookies trunk and pulling Amelias bags out.
"Eric we can get those." Sookie said, but he slapped her hands away.
"Eww no, you aren't on the clock. I wasn't raised by wolves. I'll carry her bags in. Go inside." Eric insisted, and shooed her away. Sookie walked in with Amelia and gave her a little tour and showed her the guest room downstairs she would be staying in. Eric walked her bags in and showed her he had put fresh towels in the bathroom for her. He walked with them out to the kitchen and led Amelia to a large gift basket sitting on his island and said.
"Sookie told me a bit about what happened to you. I figured you would enjoy a treat." He said with a smile sliding it to Amelia. Sookie clutched her chest and said.
"Eric, did you go shopping by yourself?" She looked like she was going to cry. This was just too sweet of him.
"I actually went with Trey. In the interest of full disclosure, we did have to call his sister because we didn't know what kind of stuff to put in a 'sorry your Dad is a dumb bitch' basket to make a girl feel better, we also didn't know where to buy baskets." Eric said giving Sookie a small hug while Amelia opened the plastic and looked in the basket.
"Eric this is so sweet, you don't even know me." Amelia breathed out quietly.
"You're Sookies best friend, Sookie wouldn't have someone shitty as a best friend." Eric said.
"You are too sweet, Eric." Sookie said looking up at him.
"Nonsense." He said giving her another squeeze then letting her go and excitedly saying. "Oh, I don't know if you have ever been inside a home goods, but that seems like a store you would like."
"I have been to home goods, I do like that store." Sookie said laughing and smiling.
"Oh, here. This is for both of you." He handed them an envelope from his back pocket. "Its a spa day for you two. When you get there ask for Lafayette, he'll set up anything you want. It's all taken care of you just have to pick your treatments."
"Eric, it's too much!" Sookie said, but just then her phone rang and she saw it was Preston. She needed to pick it up or it would become an even bigger argument. "Hold on its Preston." She said walking into the other room.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Where are you, whats her faces plane landed two hours ago." Preston demanded.
"I'm spending time with Amelia. She just got here, we're at where she is staying." Sookie said leaving out Amelia was staying with Eric. That was already a sore subject.
"Then come home, it's your day off." He demanded again.
"I'm not coming home, I'm spending time with my best friend." She said loud and slowly so he could get it through his thick skull.
"Sookie, so help me God if you don't get home right now and spend some damn time with me…" He growled.
"What, what are you gonna do Press?" Sookie said pissed off.
"either you come home and give me what I need from my woman or I'm going to go get it from someone willing." He spat.
"Preston Pardelo… if you sleep with someone else we are through!" She yelled making both Eric and Amelia walk into the tv room she was in.
"Well you won't sleep with me. Now you have brought your bitchy little friend here to monopolize even more of your time and you are always at Eeeeeeeeeerics house probably slobbing on his knob…." Preston said and she cut him off.
"I have never slobbed on Eric's knob." She yelled making Eric chuckle, and Amelia swatted his chest and tried to give him a look, but she couldn't help smiling a little. That was a hilarious thing to hear Sookie say.
"Oh haven't you? you always jump to answer his calls and texts." Preston spat.
"I'm his assistant! Answering his calls and texts is literally why he pays me!" Sookie yelled getting more fed up with him by the minute.
"All the little trips you take with him, the late nights….." Preston went on.
"He's and actor Preston. Are you an idiot? I go where he goes. He has to travel to do his job. You knew this when I took the job!"
"But you never go where I go." He said incredulously.
"Probably, because you have done nothing but bitch and moan for the last 2 years. You know what, when I tried to have Amelia stay with us you pitched a fit of toddler like proportions. You know what Eric did? invited her to stay in his house, then when we got here he gave her a gift basket he went out of his way to make just to make her feel better. he even arranged a girls day for she and I. you didn't even care what she was going through!"
"fuck you Sookie, you are with him at his house on your day off?"
"Is that really what you took away from what I just said, Preston?" She said more calmly. just exhausted by dealing with him at this point.
"I'm fucking Dawn." Preston spat.
"I'm not shocked by that, and now I need an STD test, yuck." Sookie said still calm.
"Your shit will be in the street. what a waste of 5 years." Preston growled and hung up on her.
She tossed her phone on the table and slumped down on the couch. Eric stayed in the doorway, but Amelia came right to her and sat next to her.
"What happened." she asked.
"We broke up, he's tossing my stuff into the street apparently."
"Yay, we're both homeless." Amelia said trying to cheer sookie up with a tiny dance. Sookie burst out laughing.
"I know I should cry, but I'm just relieved. He was apparently fucking our neighbor. She is like 40 and has 4 kids by 4 different men."
"So thats why you need the std test." Amelia snickered.
"I have to go try to rescue some of my stuff. I have no doubt he is actually tossing it into the street." Sookie said standing up.
"I'll call Trey to meet us and I'll come with you." Eric said.
"I think you are the last person he will want to see, you also attract tons of attention. To me, you're just Eric but to the world you're Eric Northman, international heart throb and award winning movie star. sexiest man of the year. Pam will slaughter me if she sees pictures of you picking my shit out of the street with us in the rags." Sookie said, Erics face fell. She was right. He couldn't go with her, he couldn't help her and that shit pissed him off.
"I'll still call Trey to have him meet you." Eric said taking out his phone. "Amelia drive my SUV so you can get more stuff at once." Eric said before he walked back to the kitchen.
"Who is Trey?" Amelia asked.
"Eric's personal trainer and his childhood best friend. You'll see a lot of him. Eric doesn't really hang with many Hollywood types unless he's on set and it's like socializing for the shoot." Sookie said getting the keys for Erics SUV off the hook by the garage.
Eric came back and walked past Amelia and wrapped Sookie in a tight hug and whispered to her.
"Come back here when you are done, please. Stay here with Amelia." his quiet tone was pleading.
"I don't have much choice, I have nowhere else to go." Sookie said sadly.
"you two stay here as long as you need. We have a crazy schedule with the premieres after this week. You won't have time to find an apartment and move. please don't feel like an imposition. you're already here all the time, you'll just be saving gas. Really, it's for the environment." He said making Sookie lean her head back and laugh while he swung her in the hug. Amelia just watched astonished while Eric swing her best friend around looking absolutely in love with her. Sookie clearly had no idea. Now wasn't the time to be cluing her in yet though. Amelia had more observing to do.
"Okay, we'll wait until after the premiers are over….. For the trees." Sookie said the last part dramatically.
"Thats all I ask, Sookie. As a Swedish man, the environment is extremely important to me." Eric said using a serious tone.
"Sookie, we have to go. I've known Preston longer than you. He's probably lighting your clothes on fire." Amelia said grabbing Sookies shoulders and peeling her away from Eric, giving him a knowing look an a smirk.
"Yeah, probably. Okay I'll text you and let you know how it's going Eric." Sookie said as she walked to her car Eric just stood in his garage as they drove away. Feeling pissed and trapped by his notoriety that he can't even go help Sookie get her stuff from her rat bastard ex boyfriend. He felt like a freaking hostage and he hated it. He stormed inside and busied himself making the guest room right next to his upstairs ready for Sookie. Sure, he had other rooms. Hell, he could furnish the guest house pretty quickly with the funds he has, but he wanted her right next to him. Without Preston in the way his resolve to not try to make a move on her was already failing, he could feel it.
It took 5 hours until Sookie, Amelia and Trey were coming back. Sookie and Trey had both been texting him. It had gone worse than expected and the police had to be called because Preston actually did start a small fire with her belongings. He also poured bleach on her clothes and took out as many breakable items as possible. It was quite the cluster fuck.
"How much were you able to save?" Eric asked Sookie when she walked in from the garage.
"not much." She said sadly walking past him and going straight to the fridge and taking out a beer. opening it on the edge of the counter. She took a long drink and put her head on the counter. Eric was just about to speak again before Trey grabbed his arm and pulled him into the other room.
"Dude, he destroyed 90% of her stuff. he lit her year books on fire, man. her year books." Trey said looking disturbed ,not talking above a whisper.
"what do we even do for her?" Eric asked.
"I don't know what we can do. he ripped up her DEAD parents wedding picture. after the cops came and we could get in to see the damage she was pretty okay until she saw the ripped up picture. She just fucking lost it." Trey said. Eric leaned and looked through the door way where Amelia was leaning over Sookie rubbing her back and saying something he couldn't hear.
"what was she able to save?" Eric asked pretty shocked by this. He knew Preston as a piece of shit, but this was beyond that. this was literally crazy.
"Some cold weather clothes she has put away for when you guys go to Sweden to see your parents or to film at a cold location. a box of flash drives and memory cards with all the pictures from her teens and 20's so far. A very small amount of her clothes and shoes, maybe like 4 outfits total, if she can make outfits out of what was left. Most of her jewelry can probably be fixed." Trey said producing a gallon sized ziplock baggie full of bent and broken jewelry. Lots of loose stones at the bottom.
"Wow, who would have thought Sookie would have this much nice jewelry." Eric said taking in the fragments which were obviously at one point quite beautiful.
"Most of it was apparently her moms." Trey said.
"Shhhhhhhhhhit." Eric hissed getting more pissed by the second. He was going to hold onto the bag of jewelry. He could at least pay to have it all repaired.
"Yeah, he really went for the jugular. He's a fucking small guy too. I don't know why I was expecting him to be bigger. He was only like 2" taller than Sookie. Amelia was taller than him." Trey said shaking his head. Eric could see Treys fists were still clenched. Apparently, Trey was just as fired up and he was.
"Yeah, he has Napoleon syndrome." Eric said dismissing that. "Good news is most of her stuff is still at her Grans. So its not like she lost everything. I've seen her childhood room. It was left basically like she never left. I bet her Gran has a copy of the wedding picture, or at least a similar one." Eric finished trying to think of ways to soften the blow to Sookie.
"That is good news. What is her bedroom there like?" Trey asked leaning in almost conspiratorially.
"The walls are light green and she has those plastic ivy leaves all over the ceiling and hanging down the walls. Cheerleading stuff like trophies and pom poms are all over. She has a huge plush area rug thats gray and her bed is small like a full size. It's like half of a Fairy house and half high school cheerleader." Eric said leaning in to Trey also.
"Damn, cheerleader Sookie, that adds up." Trey said with a chuckle.
"Her old high school cheer uniform still fits her." Eric said with a smirk.
"Damn, no wonder you spent 10 days in backwoods Louisiana with her." Trey said clapping Erics back.
"Man, that trip messed me up. I really got to know her as a person and the last year has been hell." Eric said seriously.
"You have been into her since you picked her up in that bar and hired her behind Pam's back." Trey snickered.
"No, I have wanted to have sex with her since then. After we took that trip she started consuming my whole brain. I'm friends with her brother now, like his opinion of me matters now, like a lot." Eric said with a serious stare.
"Jason is fucking hilarious. Did he send you the root beer forklift certified video?" Trey asked. Trey had met Jason a couple of times over the years when he had come out to visit Sookie.
"Yeah, I'm not sure how he got his internet algorithm, but its sheer gold." Eric said chuckling.
"Hey guys?" Amelia said pulling them out of their conversation.
"Yeah?" Eric said.
"Ummm, Sookie wants pizza, but I don't know how to order pizza. Ive never done it before." She said sheepishly.
"You've never ordered pizza?" Trey said with wide eyes.
"Yeah, I used to just text my butler and he brought me whatever I wanted." Amelia said blushing. Trey smiled and shook his head. He knew a little about the situation she was in and was actually impressed she was willing to walk away from a life like that and into the real world where she was so sheltered she would literally have to learn to live again.
"Well, C'mere. You'll do it and I'll walk you through it. Teach a man to fish and all." Trey said taking out his phone and waving her over. Eric walked back into the kitchen and saw Sookie still leaning on the counter. She stood up as he approached her. When she heard him coming she stood up and walked right to him and hugged him tightly. He eagerly returned her hug and held her tightly while gently swaying them.
Eric was always so good to her. He was a little helpless and flighty, but that was just the nature of his personality. It was what made him such a good actor. He was always appreciative of her, even if it was literally her job to take care of him. He never treated her like a servant or took her for granted. He was good to her family and when her friend was in need he jumped to help her. He even went out of his comfort zone to go shopping, which was something she knew for a fact he hated doing. Not just because he had to deal with fan attention every time he left his house, but because he just didn't like it. Hell, if she didn't buy him clothes he would survive solely on what he was able to steal from various sets. She knows this for a fact, because thats what he did before he hired Sookie. Pam used to flip her shit at him all the time because he was always photographed in the same 3 t-shirts.
"I'm so sorry." He said as he held her and they swayed.
"It's not your fault. I'm just angry. I should have left a year ago when he started going ape shit on the regular" Sookie muttered into his chest.
"My offer for you to run away with me is still on the table." Eric said jokingly.
"Eric, we see each other almost every day. Temporarily, I live in your house. You are harboring my run away best friend and financially support me and my Family back home. I don't know how much closer we can get. Running away together seems counter productive at this point." Sookie giggled still holding him.
In Erics head he thought 'we could be closer if you let me literally be inside of you.' But he didn't say it, now was not the time to propose sex. In fact, there probably never was going to be a good time to propose sex to her. He was historically dog shit at relationships. He'd eventually get busy and forget about the person, he always left women feeling hurt and put out. He forgot to call or text. He was terrible at communication and expressing his feelings. Not to mention he was always traveling so he could go 6 months or more without being able to come home. His longest running relationship with a woman has been with Pam and Sookie. Pam was a lesbian and Sookie was untouchable. He couldn't live without her at this point so he couldn't risk complicating the relationship. Hell, Sookie was the only girl he had ever brought home to meet his parents. His Mom is a disappointed as he is that he isn't with Sookie. She might possibly be more upset about it than he is.
"I can't live without you, Sookie." Eric said honestly.
"You could, but you wouldn't like it." She giggled.
"I'd starve, sleep too much, be 3 hours late to everything and probably forget my own name." Eric said jokingly.
"It's why you pay me the big bucks to be your human alarm clock and calendar." She smiled now running her hands up and down his back making him want to start purring.
"Sookie! I just ordered pizza all by myself! And brownies!" Amelia cheerfully said walking back into the kitchen causing Sookie to pull away from Eric, instantly making him mourn the loss of the connection.
"Way to go, Ames. Look at you, you'll be unstoppable soon." Sookie said, sincerely.
"Tomorrow Trey is going to take me to open a bank account to put all that cash I skimmed off away and he offered me a job at the gym he co-owns. I'm going to start with cleaning the equipment throughout the day, then he's going to teach me how to run the cash register at the juice bar and sign people up at the front desk! I have a job Sookie, a real job!" Amelia beamed jumping up and down.
"Thats so awesome! I know you're going to work so hard! Trey, you won't regret this." Sookie said turning to Trey with a wide smile.
"I trust she will. I have never seen anyone so enthusiastic about wiping up sweat and mopping floors." Trey chuckled. He was actually impressed Amelia didn't have princess syndrome. She was telling him her plan was to try to get hired at McDonalds so she could get some life skills. She wanted to work and learn. For him, that made her irresistible. Hiring her may have beens mostly selfish. He was digging on her whole suburban stepford wife look, and the fact that she was so willing to do grunt work just to learn how to support herself made her even more attractive to him. He shouldn't be surprised Sookie's best friend was cool as hell.
"I have to go buy clothes and shoes tomorrow." Sookie said with a sigh.
"I'll loan you something to wear. You'll have to go commando, because I doubt any of my bras and underwear will fit you." Amelia said.
"I can reuse this bra, but it'll probably be a commando day. I'll have to borrow a dress. I'll be lucky if anything will fit me. I'm like 3 sizes bigger than you and 6" shorter." Sookie sighed.
"We'll find something, don't worry." Amelia said rubbing her back again. Sookie was by no means Fat, but Amelia was 5'8" and a size 2. Sookie was 5'2" and a size 6. There wasn't going to be a ton of overlap in their wardrobes. Even in high school they weren't really sharing clothes. That and their whole friendship was built on them sneaking around to hang out because her father would never have stood for her slumming it with a friend like Sookie. They had actually met when they were 13 because Amelia was hanging out at the fence of her all girls boarding school and Sookie was walking home from the public school. The first two years of their friendship was them talking through a fence like Sookie was visiting her in prison.
"I can go shopping with you tomorrow." Eric offered.
"I don't think you want to go to Target, TJ MAXX and Ross." Sookie giggled.
"I think I very much do want to go to those places. You once told me Target is where money goes to die, I have been intrigued ever since."
"You can come if you want, but we're going to drive out of LA. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." Sookie said, suddenly ending in an exaggerated groan.
"What?" Eric asked concerned.
"This is going to set me remodeling Grans kitchen way back. I am going to have to spend a ton replacing stuff." Sookie said leaning her head back and closing her eyes.
"Or you could just let me pay to remodel Grans house Like I have offered 500 times." Eric grumbled giving Sookie a look.
"And I have told you 500 times, you already over pay me so I can't let you do that." Sookie said returning the look.
"You never let me spoil Gran." He said pouting.
"Because you aren't giving the husband package to your assistant. Our boundaries and lines my be blurry and gray because of the nature of this job you pay me for, but Eric, sometimes you are straight offering to be my husband without the benefits and I just can't allow that. You are too sweet for your own good. You can't offer people shit like that, someone will take advantage of you." Sookie said sternly. Amelia and Trey both perked up and started watching the exchange between Sookie and Eric.
"I don't offer anyone anything I don't want to give. You can't be taking advantage when I WANT TO DO IT." Eric said his tone getting serious and his voice dropping lower.
"You think that now, but someday when you have a wife and baby, there will be questions about why you support your assistants family like you are their son in law. You don't think I know about you and Gran having your little chit chats, but I do.
"Maybe I don't want a wife and baby and I just want to take care of the people I love right now! In this moment. I don't live in the future, Sookie. In this moment I want to do nice things for Gran because I like her and she's precious to me." He snapped back standing taller if that is possible.
"If I didn't think about your future, no one would." Sookie said putting her hands on her hips.
"You're the only thing other than Trey that I am confident will be in my future. I'm not letting go of you ever."
"What am I your hostage?" She said quirking an eyebrow.
"Maybe." He said mimicking her expression, which made her break out in a smile and giggle a little.
"Fuck you and your expressive face." She said pushing him lightly, the tension broken.
"You love my face, this face pays the bills ,Sookie." He said reaching out a twirling her hair in his hand.
"But you can't pay the bill for Grans new kitchen, understood?" Sookie said gingerly grabbing his wrist that was in her hair and pulling his hand to touch her face.
"I can't control what this smile can produce." Eric said with a sly smirk.
"I'm going to smother you in your sleep." Sookie said shaking her head and releasing his arm.
"Liar, because then you would have to deal with Pam without me as a buffer." He said smugly leaning on the counter.
"Dammit, that is true." Sookie said turning and leaving the room. Eric dutifully followed her like a puppy and Amelia turned to Trey and said
"Is their chemistry always like that?" She was shocked. She had never seen sookie be like that with anyone. Not Preston, not Quinn and not even her high school boyfriend Sam.
"Their sexual tension can fly off the charts. All of their arguments end like that with one or the other doing something the other finds sexy or adorable. Eric can hardly keep his hands off her. I give it a week until he makes a move now that Preston is gone." Trey said shaking his head.
"Sookie hasn't talked to me like Eric is anything more than her boss and friend. Seeing them together is kind of a shock." Amelia said.
"It wasn't always this bad. He's only been ass over tits for her for about a year. You know her better than me, she's always been sweet to him, but I think she's into it too." Trey said.
"I'll say ,Sookie isn't a toucher from my recollection. The fact that she lets him hang all over her, and rub on her is freaking weird to see. Hell, I know for a fact that she used to regularly sleep in a different bed than Preston because he kept touching her in her sleep and it was pissing her off. That was before they moved out here." Amelia said still astonished.
"He hangs on her like a fucking koala. He always has, to some degree, but in the last year he has definitely stepped up his level of clingy." Trey snickered.
"I don't understand how Sookie hasn't shaken Preston sooner when she has a man looking at her like that all day long here." Amelia said. She walked into the room that she saw Sookie and Eric go into. It was a tv room with a giant tv and a massive couch that was basically a bed mascaraing as a couch. Sookie was laying on the couch and Eric was sitting in front of where she was on the couch on her floor, running his hands over her back while she laid on her stomach and flipped through channels. His back was to the tv. His eyes trained on her body as if he was worshiping her. Amelia could not believe it. Sookie was leaving a lot out of her emails. She had no doubt Sookie never cheated on Preston, but she definitely gets why he was always so suspicious of Eric. There is definitely an intimacy between them that she had never seen Sookie engage in before.
"What are you watching?" Amelia asked sitting next to sookies head. Trey taking a seat one the other side of the couch by Sookies feet.
"Probably some of the history channels finest, or something crime investigationy.." Sookie said.
"If you start watching investigation shows again you'll get convinced everyone is trying to murder you again." Eric said as he kept running his hands over her, only looking at her.
"But they are so interesting, and you might be trying to murder me, I still can't be sure." Sookie said playfully , making Eric lean over and bite the back of her thigh making her yelp.
"Eric seems like he would be the least likely to kill you. You guys have some sort of symbiotic relationship." Amelia said looking at them.
"He's the shark to my remora." Sookie said, making Eric smile brightly.
"Your emails did not give this." Amelia waved her hand over Sookie and Eric. "Relationship justice."
"Eric is a creative, he's just unique in how he interacts with people. You can't really explain it in emails." Sookie said setting on a show about Ancient Greece.
"Is he going to rub all over me and bite my ass too?" Amelia barked with laughter making Eric lift his head and squint at her.
"No, ewww." He said not trying to be rude, but She's no Sookie.
"He didn't bite my ass, it was the back of my leg." Sookie corrected, like that was the issue here. "Like I said, he is a creative. You have to let him be as he is when he's off set so he doesn't lose touch with him. Eric is just snuggly. He's Swedish." Sookie said dismissively like all of this was normal, making Amelia laugh.
"Oh he's Swedish. Well now it all makes sense." Amelia said, earning her another look from Eric, but Sookie didn't seem to be detecting that Amelia smelled bullshit in the air. Eric still sitting on the floor, back to the television laid draping himself over sookies back. His massive size covering most of her up. He stayed like that until the pizza arrived and they got up to eat.
Later that night Sookie was in bed tossing and turning. Trey and Amelia had really hit it off. Sookie was suspicious he offered her a job just to keep her close. He seemed to like how blissfully naive she was without being your typical rich girl who is spoiled to the point of being a public nuisance. Sookie looked at the clock, It was 3 am. She finally got up and walked downstairs to Amelias room thinking she could slide into bed next to her, but when she got to the door she heard the unmistakable sounds of rowdy sex. She made a yikes face and slowly backed away and ran back up stairs. She was going back to her room, but she saw Erics door was left slightly open, which was odd. He usually closed his door. She peaked in and he was laying in his bed, with just the sheet on him, having kicked all the blankets off. His chest was exposed and looked positively likable in the moonlight streaming in from the large windows at the far end of the room. She knew he slept naked, but she was wearing shorts and a tank top, so what harm could going in for a snuggle be? After all, it is Eric. He thrives on physical touch. She tip toed in and gingerly slipped in the bed next to him. She was just laying her head down when Eric's groggy voice said.
"It can't be time to wake up yet."
"No, I just couldn't sleep. Amelia is having sex with Trey so I just came in here so I don't have to be alone." She whispered back.
"I lost $100 to Trey. I bet him I'd get to have sex with you before he got to have sex with Amelia." He said half asleep making Sookie snicker. That was definitely not something she was supposed to hear.
"Mmmmm, tough break." Sookie said as he scooted her over to him making her gasp. He wrapped his large body around her holding her tight and close. His right hand grabbed her boob, which he at least was awake enough to understand he wasn't supposed to be grabbing.
"Sorry." He mumbled sleepily. Moving his hands to her stomach.
"It's okay, they are free agents now." Sookie said with a quiet giggle.
"Oh, well in that case." Eric said moving his hands to both of her boobs making her giggle again., but they both settled in and drifted off to sleep.
Eric woke up in the morning first with his dick pressing on the crease of Sookies ass and his hands on both of her boobs. He vaguely remembered her slipping in in the night, and he was kicking himself for telling her he lost $100 to trey. Maybe she would think it was a joke. He wasn't going to move though. He was sure as soon as he woke up his boob time was going to be revoked and she was definitely not going to be helping him out with his morning wood so he was just going to let his dick bask in the proximity of its most desired parking spot while he could. She couldn't get that mad at him, she came to his bed. She's been with him 4 years. She knows he sleeps naked and horny.
Not too long after Sookie rolled over and hugged his body, resting her head in the crook of his arm and slung her leg over his hips and made herself impossibly close to him making a little mmmmmm noise.
"Sookie…" He said, he now had no choice but to say something.
"Mmmmmm?"
"My dick is between your legs." He whispered, really not wanting to move, but almost positive this was the line they were always dancing on.
"I'm wearing shorts." She mumbled.
"Oh good, well that just changes everything." Eric said sarcastically. "You need to move for me, between your legs with no invitation is too much for me to handle." He said still whispering, but more seriously.
"Oh, Sorry." She said closing her thighs and gridding on him a little. Making Eric groan.
"Please don't tease me." He whisper begged.
"Sorry." She said sincerely scooting her lower half away from him making him sigh at the loss of the heat coming off her body. Her cellphone started ringing and she got up out of bed and walked out the door to go get it. Eric was reaching out like he was trying to grab her so she couldn't leave his bed, but he thought better of it. Much to his surprise she came right back with her phone to her ear and slipped right back into bed with him talking on her phone.
"Yeah, we broke up broke up. There will be no getting back together. He got arrested and destroyed almost all of my stuff." Sookie said, Eric could only hear her Half of the conversation, but he was listening intently, with one arm behind his head and the other around Sookie as she laid back down with him.
"I'm staying with Eric until after the premiers for this movie are over then I'll look for a new apartment. Probably with Amelia."
"I can't just live with him Gran."
"Gran! Oh my Lord."
"It's not like that."
"No."
"No."
"Yeah, he's right here next to me." Sookie took the phone from her ear and offered it to Eric. "She wants to talk to you."
"Gran, how are you?" He said flirtatiously into the phone.
"Not as good as you, it seems." Gran said in a sassy tone.
"Mmmmmmm." He said noncommittally, Sookie was right next to him, and it hardly seemed like a good Idea for him to be jumping for joy that she finally dropped Preston after what happened yesterday.
"When are you coming back to see me, I miss you." Gran said changing the subject.
"When are you flying out here to see ME, Gran. I have been begging you for a year." He said with a smile.
"You know I have a fear of flying." Gran said stubbornly.
"You've never been on a plane, how do you know if you are afraid or not? Really, Gran. I'm begging you, come out here and let me show you a good time. I have premiers coming up, I can take you as my date on the red carpet." He said with a tone tryin to entice her.
"Oh, you don't want to take an old woman as your date." She dismissed him.
"I absolutely do."
"Think of the rumors that would start." Gran giggled. Making Eric chuckle too.
"I'll call you my lover, Pam will have a field day with that."
"I do dislike Pam." Gran mused.
"See, don't pass up an opportunity to mess with Pam for me. Be my date, let me bring you out here. I'm sure Sookie could use some Gran time with everything going on too." He said looking at Sookie who was smiling and he gave her a thumbs up.
"I'll think about it, when do you need an answer?" Gran asked, he leaned over to Sookie and asked.
"If Gran fly's out to be my date to the LA premier what day would she have to let us know by to get her out her in time?"
"Thursday, she'd have to fly out Friday or Saturday to be rested enough for the premier on Tuesday." Sookie answers.
"Sookie says we need to know by Thursday of this week." Eric said.
"I will think on it, I'm leaning to yes though. I want to be there for Sookie right now." Gran said.
"Only took me a year to wear you down." Eric beamed, and Sookie bounced in the bed.
"Now work on wearing Sookie down. You would be so cute with her, and I like you the best." Gran said making him smile and glance at Sookie.
"We'll see how that cookie crumbles." Eric said, secretly preening that he has Grans approval.
"Okay darling, I'll talk to you later. Take care of my baby for me." Gran said.
"Always, I promise." He said looking at Sookie taking in how good she looked laying in his bed.
They said their goodbyes and he hung up.
"Did you seriously talk my Gran into coming here to us?" Sookie said.
"I'm very close, I'm confident I'm about to buy a plane ticket." Eric said. Sookie squealed and lept on top of him hugging him and thanking him over and over. She was inadvertently grinding on his crotch when she did it making him moan.
"Mmmm Sookie stop, I said no teasing."
"Sorry." She said again getting off. Something in her face though did not actually look sorry.
"You don't look sorry." Eric said eying her as she laid next to him.
"You're a sexy man, Eric. I can only have so much remorse about these things. Especially now." Sookie said, which made Eric lunge at her and quickly pull her under him and he ran his nose along her neck before he rested at her cheek and whispered.
"Do you like it when I do it, Sookie?" He asked grinding himself on her and grazing his other hand up her body making her breathing hitch.
"Okay, point taken." She whispered out and he playfully nipped at her jaw.
"Good." He said giving her a quick sweet little peck on the lips and getting out of bed to walk past her fully nude and turned on into the bathroom, leaving her mouth hanging open, laying where he left her stunned on the bed.
Later that day they were walking around target and she was tossing things into the cart while Eric followed behind her stealing a touch here or there. He was wearing his black t-shirt and dark wash jeans with a light black jacket and a black baseball cap he's convinced makes him invisible and impossible to recognize.
He was standing behind her with his hand resting on her back while she flipped through some dresses when he noticed a little girl staring at him with her mouth wide open. About 8 years earlier he had done a movie about a fairy tail prince who left the story book realm to go find a princess in the real world. The movie was all about the pressures of being a prince and it ended with him basically deciding to just focus on being a good man who deserves a princess and him meeting an ambiguous blonde at the end who's back was turned and it was implied that was him finally meeting HIS princess. It was one of his first big movies and despite it being for children it had done really really well. It was to this day still one of the most streamed movies every month.
He tapped Sookies shoulder and said loud enough for the little girl to hear.
"Look Princess Sookie, another princess." He said and pointed to the little girl who was standing next to her Mom who appeared to be around 5. She squealed and her eyes lit up.
"Meeeee?" She said back tugging on her Moms arm. "Look Mommy, it's Prince Alex!." She yelled.
"Thats me." Eric said with a smile using the flighty dumb guy tone he used in the movie.
"Who?" The girls mother said looking at her daughter then up at Eric. "Oh sweet Jesus." The woman gasped.
"Mommy he said I'm a princess!." The little girl bounced and ripped her hand away running to Eric who squatted to get on her level and give her a hug.
"You are a princess, you know I can spot them." He said with a wink.
"Is this your princess? You got to live happy ever after?" She asked going a mile a minute.
"That is my princess, her name is Sookie." He said looking back at Sookie who's heart was absolutely melting.
"Hi Princess Sookie!" The girl waved.
"Wow, ummm…. Just wow. Thank you so much for that. You probably just made her whole life. She sleeps with a Prince Alex doll." The girls mother said.
"Hey, I see a princess, I point it out. It's my thing." He said with another smile.
"C'mon Matilda, say goodbye." The girls mother said.
"Bye Prince Alex, bye princess Sookie." The girl said and wildly waved as her Mother tugged her away. Not wanting to monopolize anymore go Erics time. He had already been sweet enough.
"Those are my only fan interactions I actually like." Eric said turning back to Sookie.
"That was possibly the cutest thing I have ever witnessed. You are so kind Eric." Sookie said wrapping her arms around him and hugging him.
"She obviously recognized me. I wanted her to feel special. That movie also kind of made my whole career. I owe a lot to the success and ongoing success of that movie. Plus, she was a cutie Patootie. Worth it." Eric said holding her closer and leaning down looking at her.
"And I'm your princess?" Sookie asked with a quirked eyebrow.
"Oh for sure, in the context of my life. You are definitely my princess. I found you in a dive bar." He said the last part wistfully.
"You're a charmer." Sookie breathed out looking into his eyes.
"Am I now?" He asked getting so close to her lips but never touching them.
"Mmmhmmmm" Sookie said pulling back and tossing a sundress in the cart.
The rest of the shopping trip went by with relative ease. Eric smiled for a few pictures and signed a few things, but they weren't getting mobbed like Sookie had seen happen in the past. This years Sundance had been an absolute mad house. She ended up getting punched in the boob at one point while people fought for Erics attention when they were leaving a screening. It didn't feel like she was with her boss at all. It was like she was just hanging out with Eric.
Sookie ended up snuggling Eric in his bed again that night. She went in much earlier and stopped kidding herself that she wasn't going to do it again. Eric, had put on boxers this time in anticipation that she would be coming back to him, and he wanted a few more layers between them. Sookie was dangerous for him.
"Get up!" Pam yelled early the next morning forcefully ripping Sookie out of the bed and tossing her on the floor.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sookie screamed as she was awoken by the sudden attack and hit the floor with a thud.
"What the fuck?" Eric yelled as he jumped out of bed and put himself between Pam and Sookie holding his arms out to keep Pam at bay.
"YOU FUCKING TELL ME, ERIC!" Pam yelled back
"What did…" Sookie started to ask, and tried to get up, but Pam barked at her.
"Stay down." With a growl.
Without warning Amelia ran in and jumped on Pams back and started hitting and slapping her, ripping at her once immaculate hair ,and doing a move one can only describe as a fish hook smearing her lipstick all over her face.
"No one fucks with Sookie!" Amelia screamed while she pounded on Pam.
"Eric, help!" Pam yelled
"Mmmm naw, I'm with Amelia on this, but I'm not allowed to hit women." He said in a scary icy tone.
"Who even is this!?" Pam screamed while Amelia held Pams arm and made her slap herself with her own hand making Sookie snicker. Eric had helped her off the floor and positioned her behind him.
"Thats my new body guard." Eric said with a snicker after Amelia took one last bitch slap before she got up off Pam and walked over to Sookie.
"Holy hell." Pam wheezed from the floor. Taking her time getting up, trying to smooth herself. "Did you take my shoes?" Pam asked bewildered looking at Amelia.
"Its my trophy." Amelia said holding them up. "Wanna come and try to get em?" Amelia asked. Spending her whole life in all girl boarding schools had lent her a particular set of talents, and cat fighting was one of them.
"No, not really." Pam said.
"Why are you in my house and assaulting people when we are asleep in bed?" Eric spat at her.
"There are pictures of you and Sookie canoodling all over Westminster." Pam said taking out her phone and showing him picture after picture. Them in target and it looked like they were kissing. Him holding hands with her, hugging her from behind, him on one knee putting shoes on her while she laughed, him opening doors for her, and them sitting on the same side of the booth at lunch while she laid her head on him while he fed her fries.
"Can I get copies of these? I really like these two." Eric Said pointing out his favorites.
"No I am not making you copies, you dunce!" Pam spat, but took a step back when Amelia took a step forward. "It looks like she is your girlfriend. I have no way to spin this." Pam said keeping an eye on Amelia.
"She's my assistant, we were out shopping. Boom done, the truth is sufficient." Eric said shaking his head.
"That is not sufficient." Pam said mocking his words with a nasty tone.
"Then say nothing." Sookie said from behind him.
"What? How do I say nothing?" Pam yelled.
"Well, you just close your trap and shut up. I know thats hard because you run your mouth constantly, but honestly…. Who cares? Tomorrow TMZ will have 50 new stories and in a month these pictures won't matter. Eric is allowed to live. He is a touchy person, we all know this. We were hanging out, so what? He's Swedish!" Sookie said again like saying he's Swedish explained away him being a complete clinger to her.
"Why were you in his bed?" Pam spat.
"Its bigger than mine and his sheets are a better quality." Sookie said in a business tone.
"Then buy yourself a big bed and nice sheets, you don't need to be in his bed." Pam growled. She absolutely hated Sookie ,and if Eric started having sex with her she knew it would be almost impossible to get rid of her.
"No, She doesn't need to waste money like that. I'm more than willing to share. You however have had your just walk in privileges revoked. Give me your key." Eric said holding out his hand, Sookie stuck out her tongue peaking around from behind him, holding his waist.
"What? Eric, you can't." Pam sputtered.
"I can, and I have. My house, my rules. I can get a new manager, Pam. Just watch me." He threatened.
"Fine." Pam said begrudgingly as she took the keys to his house off her key ring and handed them to him.
"Okay, now you need to leave. The plan is say nothing. Next time call or ring the doorbell." Eric told her sternly.
"Eric…." Pam said trying to sound softer, but failing.
"Amelia, can you be a doll, and walk her out?" Eric asked Amelia with a smile.
"My pleasure." Amelia said, and Pam took off running, Amelia following behind her.
"Are you okay?" Eric asked turning to Sookie.
"Yeah, I might have a bruise on my butt, but I'm fine." Sookie said allowing him to rub his hands on her butt and hold her.
"Want me to kiss it better?" He asked in the crook of her neck, kissing a little.
"No, I'll be okay. Thank you though." Sookie said with a giggle.
"Fine, offer is always on the table though." He said flopping back on the bed and pulling her down on top of him.
On Thursday Amelia walked into the kitchen and found Sookie being fed her breakfast by Eric while she typed away on her computer.
"What are you doing?" Amelia asked.
"I'm answering all of Eric's emails and getting his schedule straight for next week." Sookie said as Eric lifted her burrito to her mouth for her to take another bite.
"I was more asking him." Amelia said quirking her head.
"I'm feeding my Sookie so she doesn't become weak. I need her at full strength. We have 16 hour days of press and premiers next week." Eric said.
"Your Sookie?" Amelia snickered.
"Don't provoke him, Amelia." Sookie said looking up. Then she turned to Eric. "Don't worry, I'm your Sookie." Eric smiled and gave her another bite.
"I have to go to work, can I use your car?" Amelia asked.
"Yeah, don't worry about asking for right now, just grab the spare key out of the zipper pocket of my purse and use my car as you need. I'm going to have to be on Eric like glue for a while so we will be going everywhere together. I'll use his cars." Sookie said.
"Did you ask him?" Amelia asked.
"I don't have to, I call the shots." Sookie said not looking up from the computer.
"Sookie knows best. I trust her." Eric said while he stared longingly at her.
"Mmmm, see you guys later." Amelia said going through Sookies purse and getting the key, before leaving. Eric was fucking obsessed with her, which was crazy because in all of his movies he was either a villain, or some aloof commitment phobic guy who needs taming. Seeing who he is in real life has made Amelia wonder how many other actors and actresses are just odd birds.
Sookies phone rang and Eric answered it on the first ring before she could even move.
"Gran!" He greeted happily.
"Eric, I thought I called Sookie." Gran said confused.
"You did, I have just been lurking by her phone all day. So am I flying you out?" He asked.
"Yes, I'm coming to visit. Can I bring Jason with me? Traveling will be hard for an old woman." Gran said.
"Of course! I haven't seen Jason in a few months. He and I have a score to settle anyway." Eric said seriously.
"Eric, you'll never beat him at darts." Gran said with a chuckle.
"I will, I'm ready this time. I have been practicing." Eric said eagerly.
"I'm sure you have, Darling. Just be careful, darts is Jasons god given talent." Gran was rolling now.
"Don't worry Gran, he's not robbing me this time." Eric said smugly.
"He's going to clean you out, Eric."
"No Gran, I'm going to clean him out. By the time he leaves I'll own Stackhouse construction." Eric said with too much confidence.
"Okay, we'll see." Gran said trying to soothe him.
"You know, Sookie cheers for me. She's on my side." Eric said almost whining.
"Because Jason once gave her a swirly and in high school he hung her bras from the balcony. You coo about how beautiful she is and worship the ground she walks on. The choice for alliance isn't hard for her." Gran reminded.
"So how long can I talk you into staying? We have a lot of press next week. I'd love for you to stay a while so we can have more time together." He said changing the topic.
"I can stay up to a month. Jason will have to go back sooner." Gran said.
"Thats fine, I'll escort you home myself. I'll make the time." Eric assured her. "Do you want to talk to Sookie?"
"Yeah, hand me over. I love you, Eric."
"I love you too, Gran." Eric said and handed Sookie her phone.
Sookie started listening to Gran and looked at Eric, her mouth falling open and she said.
"I'm just going to take this in the other room." She scampered away. He was just excited that Gran AND Jason were both coming to visit. He was hoping he and Sookie would get closer again like they did last year when they were all together. Not too long later Sookie came back and she was bright red.
"You okay?" Eric asked.
"Yeah, Gran is just…. You know sometimes she says some wild stuff." Sookie said throwing her arms around him when he was sitting in a chair at the table. He was eye level with her now that he was seated.
"Mmmmmm, I missed you." He purred leaning into her and returning her hug.
"I was gone 30 minutes." She giggled.
"Don't tell me how to feel." Eric said with a grin.
"Yes, Sir." She said which got her pulled down into his lap and he ran his face up and down the side of her neck.
"Yes, Sir is classified as teasing. We agreed no teasing." He said into her neck.
"My apologies, Sir." Sookie purred.
"Soooooooookie…." He said warning.
"Errrrrrrrrrrrrrric." Sookie almost moaned back making him pull back and look into her eyes with heat. Just then the doorbell rang.
"Who the fuck is that?" He growled.
"It's Trey, it's time for your training session." Sookie said trying to get up, but he wouldn't let her.
"No I don't want to, stay." He almost begged. He was so close. They were having a moment. The bell rang again.
"You have to. It's my job to keep you on schedule." She whispered as she grazed her hand down his side.
"No." He whispered, his head rolling back as she leaned into him. He heard the door unlock and open, footfalls were getting closer. Sookies lips were millimeters from him.
"Dude, the door. I don't like using my key." Trey said ignoring the scene in front of him.
"Yeah, I'm not sorry." Eric said as he tried to keep Sookie in his lap who was working hard to slither off of him.
"C'mon, This isn't my only appointment today." Trey said jutting his head towards the gym in the house.
"Can you furnish the guest house? I want Gran to stay the full month. After that maybe Amelia will want to live out there." Eric said as he finally let Sookie go.
"She and I were going to live together." Sookie said.
"I don't like that idea, because you need to sleep next to me. I wear boxers to bed now." He said like it made total sense.
"Eric, I can't live in your room. I'm not your wife." Sookie reminded him.
"But why not?" He whined.
"Why I can't live in your room or why am I not your wife?" She asked for clarification.
"God, I don't know. Both I guess." He said throwing his hands up and following trey into the gym. Leaving Sookies mouth hanging wide open stunned.
That night Trey had come back to have dinner with Amelia, Eric and Sookie… but mostly Amelia. Amelia and Trey were murmuring suspiciously in the corner while Sookie finished dinner and Eric followed her around the kitchen.
"What are you doing?" Eric asked.
"I'm about to set the table." Sookie said.
"Let me, I want to help." He said taking the plates from her making her smile.
She continued to finish up what she was making when Trey slid up behind her and rubbed on her like Eric does. Sookie gasped and made an acccccckkkkk sound and pulled away from him. Eric dropped two of the plates shattering them on the floor as he ran over and said.
"Why? Why would you touch her like that? Why?" Eric was pissed and right in Treys face.
"What? I'm Swedish….. I thought that was the going reasoning to be hanging all over Sookie." Trey said with a grin. Amelia was giggling on the other side of the counter.
"Thats not how it works. It's not just because he's Swedish, thats just part of it. He's also a creative and he's…. He's… Eric. Don't paw at me. You stop laughing you smug bitch, I know you put him up to it." Sookie said wagging her finger. Eric grabbed her and rubbed himself on her like he was trying to erase Tray from having touched her.
"Please never do that again, or we cannot keep being friends." Eric said deadly serious.
"Really? You would throw away a lifetime of friendship and the person who moved here from Sweden with you over Sookie?" Trey asked challenging him.
"In a heartbeat." Eric said without hesitation. Sookie just looked up at him slack jawed for the second time that day. Trey just smiled and turned to Amelia and said.
"Told you so."
"I guess you were right. Show me how to clean broken glass." Amelia said pointing to the plates that broke and walked towards them with Trey.
Dinner was slightly tense. As soon as they were done. Amelia offered to do the dishes because It was a good learning experience. Eric grabbed Sookies hand and pulled her behind him upstairs. Once they were in his room he shut and locked the door, before he spun her around and crashed his lips to hers. At first, her arms flew to either side in surprise, but when he ran his hand up in her hair she wrapped her arms around him and equally met his kiss.
"I hated watching him touch you." Eric said pulling back and sliding his hands under the little cotton house dress she was wearing making her moan as he kissed down he neck to he cleavage, holding her to him tighter.
"I hated it too. I hate being touched." She said breathlessly.
"You seem to like it right now." He said shoving his hand under her underwear cupping her bare ass.
"You're different." She said tugging at his shirt, prompting him to put her down so she could pull it off him.
"Because I'm Swedish." He said with a smile.
"You get it." She said pulling on his pants. He lifted her dress off of her leaving her in just her panties because she was not wearing a bra. He tossed her onto his bed and quickly took off his pants and climbed up over her.
"Say you want me…. Please want me." He begged in a whisper.
"I need you, Eric." Sookie said grabbing his face and forcing him to look at her.
"This will change everything…." He said running his hands on all of her forbidden places he had always taken care to not touch before.
"Good….." She breathed reaching between them and grabbing his length.
"Unggggggg….. my God I can't believe it's really happening." He said making her giggle. He cut off her giggle with another kiss while he ripped her panties and threw them to the side. He immediately hooked her legs over his shoulders and buried his face between her thighs. Licking her, making her yelp.
"Eric!" As she twined her finger in his hair. "moooooore…." She moaned throwing her he'd back.
"Yes, Lover." He said smiling against her before continuing his efforts and sliding a finger inside of her making her call out again. He licked and sucked, pumping his fingers in and out of her until she was practically writhing under his ministrations. Finally, she fell apart all over him. He withdrew his fingers and making her gasp and kissed his way up her body.
When he got to her face, she took his hand and sucked the fingers that were just on her into her mouth making his eyes go wide.
"That is the hottest thing I have ever seen." Eric whispered.
"I want you, Eric. I want you inside me now, Please." She whined rubbing herself on him seeking friction.
"I want you so much, Sookie. I have wanted you for so long." He hissed and sighed as he lined himself up to her entrance and pushed into her tight heat.
"Oh my God, your dick is so fucking big." She gasped.
"Thank you." He said with a smile. "You feel so good." He said as he started to push in and out of her. He captured his lips with hers and they kissed hungrily at the pack Eric was pumping in and out of her. Sookie meeting him stroke for stroke. Gripping at his arms and back.
"More, harder." She pleaded, continuing to lift her hips to his. Eric grabbed one of her legs and lifted it higher to change the angle making her cry out.
"You want me to slam my cock into that pretty pussy?" Eric growled in her ear.
"Oh you like dirty talk, do you?" Sookie asked with a glimmer in her eye.
"I really do." He panted.
"Well, I do want you to slam that big cock into my pretty pussy. I want you to do it over and over, making it yours until I cum all over you, Squeezing you until I almost push you out because I just came so hard because of what your dick does to me. Then I want you to keep slamming into me until you cum deep inside of me marking me as yours." She purred looking him in the eye. His mouth fell open and he stilled.
"I think I can arrange that." He finally said, pulling out and flipping her over on her hands and knees. Pushing back into her, grabbing her throat and pulling her up to him while he slammed into her.
"You like it rough, Sookie?" He growled.
"From you, yes." She cried.
"Who's pussy is this?"
"Yours."
"Say it, say my name, who's pussy is this." He growled again as he dragged his teeth on the side of her face while she cried out.
"It's yours, Eric. This is Erics Pussy." She screamed as her orgasam washed over her. He kept relentlessly slamming into her.
"Who do you belong to?" He asked.
"You, Eric. I'm yours." She breathed out. He pumped into her a few more times before he hissed.
"Mine!" And came with a groan. Continuing to stroke slowly in and out of her until he pulled out and flopped to the side, pulling her down on top of him.
"I can never have casual sex again. I'm a one woman man. You just ruined me, Sookie." He said to her kissing along her chest.
"Good, because that dick is property of Sookie now." She said with a smile, leaning to kiss him deeply.
"I freaking love this day!" Eric yelled, making Sookie laughed. Suddenly her phone started ringing. Eric grabbed it off the night stand and said.
"It's Amelia…." Confused.
"Hello?" Sookie said after taking her phone and answering it.
"Was he good? You're a fucking screamer. You're lucky these houses are spread out. Someone would have called the cops!" Amelia chittered away.
"Oh my god… I'm hanging up." Sookie said and groaned. Eric was laughing because he put his ear next to hers so he could hear.
"How big is his dick?" Amelia yelled.
"Okay, bye."
"No wait wait wait…." Amelia said quickly.
"What?"
"Your pussy is who's?" Amelia asked laughing.
"I'm telling Eric to kick you out." Sookie groaned and hung up the phone and tossed it to the end of the bed.
"I think I like her even more now." Eric laughed.
"I know, when we were kids she taught me the phrase 'clacking clams' when she was talking about her exploits at the all girls school she was in. She's always been like this." Sookie said with a smile shaking her head.
"Wow, clacking clams… I'm saving that one to use later." Eric said pulling her on to of him.
"You were really good." Sookie said peppering him with light kisses.
"You were the best I have ever had…. Now remind me, who does this belong to?" Eric asked reaching between them and running his finger over her slit.
"You Eric, I'm your Sookie." She said looking at him adoringly.
"Good, just checking. I'm thinking about taking her for another spin." Eric said pushing his finger into her.
"Again?" Sookie asked grinding into him.
"Sookie, I haven't had Sex since I filmed in New Orleans a year ago. I haven't thought about anyone but you in the last year. I want you over and over now that I'm allowed to." Eric said seriously.
"Really?" Sookie asked.
"Yes, really. My Swedish instincts are only extended to you. When you broke up with Preston it was everything I could do to not literally skip around with glee." He said holding her face and looking into her eyes.
"You are intentionally giving me the husband package." Sookie said shocked.
"I definitely upgraded you at some point. I'll be happy with anything you will give me though."he said leaning to give her a kiss.
"I need time to adjust. I think I have felt things for you for a long time, but I haven't been so self aware for a year." She said not wanting him to feel rejected.
"Understood, so about you living in my room…" Eric said grinning.
"Lets get through this month then we can talk about it." Sookie said which made Eric happy. It wasn't a no.
Eric adjusted them and slipped back inside of Sookie. This time he went slow and just made love to her. She was his, everyone in a square mile radius had heard her scream it.
"Its time to go pick up Gran and Jason." Sookie said pulling away from Eric as they made out at his kitchen counter.
"Did you call a car so I can kiss you on the way there?" Eric asked, taking his hands out from under her shirt and putting her bra back.
"I did, but more so because I don't want to have to walk through the parking garage with Gran being followed by paparazzi." Sookie said, as she handed Eric his pants and shoes.
"A little for me, a little for you." He said in a sing song voice. They got in the SUV that Sookie had called to drive them to and from the airport. It was Erics normal driver from the service so she had no issue making out with him in the back while they drove to LAX. Honestly, when it came to Eric Sookie had a lot less issues with things. Her sense of modesty practically went out the window that Eric flung open.
They went into the baggage claim to wait for Gran and Jason. There were photographers everywhere. Eric seemed to be actually enjoying the attention because he could kiss and rub on Sookie while he waited and he knew for sure everyone would know Sookie was his by 5 that night. It would really light Pams tits on fire and he was still pissed at her for coming into his house and hurting Sookie. He actually hadn't spoken to her since that happened. Sookie had been answering her work related emails, but he wasn't answering her calls or texts.
"Gran!" Sookie called and waved as she saw them walking out to them.
"Yoo hooo!" Jason called and waved making Eric laugh. It was an inside joke from his visit to Louisiana. Maxine Fortenberry had chased him yelling yooooo hoooo across the yard before she practically molested him.
"You two look cozy." Gran said after they all hugged and exchanged greetings.
"We're a couple now." Eric beamed.
"Bout damn time, Sook when you gonna make an honest man outta' Eric?" Jason asked making Sookie laugh.
"Well, we're gonna try livin' in sin first and see how it goes." Sookie giggled, as she wrapped herself around Gran.
"Lets get your bags and get you home. How was your flight?" Eric asked, as he and Jason plucked all the bags off of the line.
"It was awesome! I felt like a king. First class gives you a pair of socks to keep." Jason said, excitedly.
"They are some of the best socks. For a long time airplane socks were my only socks." Eric said, taking half of the bags and Jason taking the other half.
"Thats because before me you refused to shop for anything. You just acquired things and hoped you could make due." Sookie snickered.
"And now I have you ,and my life isn't a mess devoid of happiness. I'm a lucky man." Eric said, setting down the bag to open the door for her and Gran to get in.
"Eric! Eric!" A photographer yelled and ran over to him. It looked like one of the guys from TMZ. Eric was cordial and smiled while he and Jason loaded everything into the back.
"Eric, who is the woman with you? You were seen with her earlier in the week." The photographer said shoving the camera in Eric's face.
"She's my girlfriend, we're just picking up her family for a visit. I have to go, have a nice day." Eric said rushing past him and getting in the car, and politely asking the driver to go.
"You told the guy from TMZ that I'm your girlfriend?" Sookie asked nervous.
"Are you not?" Eric said turning around from the front passenger seat and looking at her with her brows creased.
"Of course I am, I'm your's… thats going to get back to Pam really fast. She hates me, she's going to flip out." Sookie said wringing her hands.
"Fuck Pam." Gran said crossing her arms, making everyone look at her gobsmacked.
"Tell us how you really feel." Eric chuckled out. "I agree though, fuck pam. She manages my career not my life. Who I love isn't her business and she was the one bugging me to date, so here I am…. Dating." Eric said making hand gestures the looked like he was casting a spell when he said the word dating. Sookie chose to ignore him implying that he loves her. She's not oblivious and she knows Eric's emotions run a lot stronger than most peoples. She's just not ready to face the reality that Eric might love her right in that moment. She had just gotten out of one relationship, and where as she knows for sure she hadn't loved Preston for a long time before they finally broke up, and she had extremely strong feelings for Eric. She wasn't ready for the moves that Eric seemed to be already making.
"I don't like Pam, she is rude and I always have the feeling she is up to no good behind peoples backs." Gran said still moody from discussing Pam. She had only met her once briefly when Pam didn't agree with Eric staying with Sookie to visit her family. She felt Eric wasn't needed there, and wanted him to come back early and make some deal with Adidas, that he already said he didn't want to do, because then he could only wear Adidas athletic wear for the next three years and he doesn't like being controlled like that. It would also make him crazy to not be allowed to wear his converse and flip flops for three years. When he wasn't at work he had two pairs of shoes he was willing to wear and neither were Adidas.
Refusing that deal that was worth 5 million was one of the first things that started eroding his relationship with Pam. As his profile was rising, she was getting more and more money hungry and wanted to take any deal or offer sent to him. Eric was much more selective, he had a lot of problems with motivation and could easily slip into being straight up hostile and refusing to work in a semi diva'ish way when he was forced to do things he didn't want to do. It's why he was very selective about the movies he took on and avoided romantic leads. He had a hard time "acting" chemistry with actresses. He NEEDED a degree of emotional connection to give that energy and frankly he wasn't a good enough actor to fake it.
Pam was pissed off he kept chasing darker rolls where he was the villain or otherwise disturbed or dysfunctional. First, they were rarely leads so it didn't command a huge paycheck. Second, she felt like he wasn't building his fan base enough by not giving the screaming women what they want. She wanted him to do GQ photo shoots and sell sexy, but he wanted to be interested in his work day so he wouldn't lay on the floor and refuse to move, which had happened at the GQ shoot until Sookie came and suggested they make him look dark and brooding and maybe have one where he's covered in blood looking murdery. They went with Sookies idea and where as Pam finally got her shirtless shots. It was him covered in blood, caressing Sookie who was laying face down in the picture looking like his murder victim, which was not the sex sells angle she wanted. She had also thrown a fit they used Sookie as the faceless model laying on the ground, mostly because she hates Sookie, but also because it had given her a degree of profile and the photographer asked Pam if he could use her again. Which Sookie declined and said she only did it for Eric and she wasn't a model, and had no interest in being one. Pam felt especially slighted by that because she felt like it made her look bad.
Needless to say, Pam's wild hatred of Sookie was probably the least of the problems Eric had with Pam. He wanted a certain kind of career, and she wanted him to have one that just wasn't going to work for him. He wasn't a heart throb, or leading man. He was a bad guy, maybe an action guy at best as long as he wasn't expected to have chemistry with some stray actress.
Hell, the thing that made the DeCastro movie so attractive to him, was that yeah, he was betraying the lead by being an informant to the police and framing him for his own crimes, but he's also sleeping with his wife. However, he's really cold to the wife, won't kiss her and the sex scene has him turning her out away from him so he doesn't have to look at her. His whole motivation is power and betrayal. There is no real romance, sleeping with the wife is just one more way his character can take down the lead and make him weak so he can take his position from him.
Thats the kind of parts he wanted. Pam wanted him to have the parts that paid the most. Sookie wasn't even part of the real beef he was having with Pam these days.
"No one Likes Pam, Gran." Sookie said, pulling Eric out of his musing about all of the problems he had with Pam that weren't Sookie related.
"Will she be at your house?" Gran asked, almost nervously. She knew she wouldn't be able to play polite. She was frankly just getting too old to do that anymore.
"Oh no, Pam isn't allowed over without notice anymore." Eric said with a smile.
"What happened?" Jason asked.
"She came into my house when we were asleep and pulled Sookie out of my bed and thew her on the ground and tried to yell at me because we were photographed together shopping. She is not welcome back to the house without notice. You are my guest, she won't be upsetting you." Eric promised.
"Oh! We saw those pictures. They were so cute." Gran coo'ed to Eric.
"She has the one where you are puttin' shoes on her to try on and the one of you feedin' sook fries framed in the house." Jason laughed.
"Those were my favorites too!" Eric said excitedly reaching back to get a fist bump from Gran who shook her head but gave it to him.
"We're on borrowed time until the airport pictures get posted." Sookie giggled.
"I'm sure we are minutes away from Pam getting asked for a comment about the name of my girlfriend." Eric snorted when they pulled into the neighborhood.
"Oh these houses are fancy!" Gran said her eyes going wide as they drove through the gates and to Eric's house.
"I forgot you haven't been to Eric's house before." Jason said. He had been out to visit Sookie a few times and had always spent a fair amount of time with Eric too, just because he genuinely likes him. He was sort of a weird guy, but he was nice and fun. He also wasn't a stuck up Hollywood type, which had surprised Jason. He wasn't mad at it though. He genuinely considered Eric a friend at this point.
"You guys are staying in the guest house since Gran is going to be here for a month. We wanted her to be able to rest when she wants to. Sometimes theres a lot of activity in the house at odd times." Sookie said as they pulled into the driveway.
"You mean you don't want Gran hearin' y'all havin' sex." Jason snickered under his breath, causing Sookie to reach over and smack him, but Eric was laughing as he got out of the car, and came to Open Grans door. That was sort of why he wanted them to stay out there. He had no intention of changing his sex with Sookie habits now that he finally has them, and as Amelia pointed out…. Sookie is a screamer.
"Gran!" Amelia yelled running out of the house. She grabbed Grans small, slight form and swung her around in a hug.
"Put me down child! My bones are too old for that!" Gran playfully yelled.
"I am so glad to see you. I have missed you so much." Amelia said as she set her down and leaned over to give her a softer, but longer hug.
"Oh baby girl, you're okay now." Gran said patting Amelias back. She had started to cry. Seeing Gran had opened the flood gates for what she had been feeling. Sookie and Amelia both needed this visit. They all got in the house and Eric gave them the tour and got their bags settled. Sookie ordered food for lunch and they settled in the TV room to chit chat.
"Eric, this couch isn't made for old women, you're going to have to get a crane to get me off of it." Gran chuckled, she looked absolutely dwarfed by the couch. Her legs were straight on the cushion, with her feet dangling.
"I'll make sure you get off the couch safe, Gran. Think about how I felt sitting on all your child sized furniture back home." Eric chuckled, and Gran leaned over and playfully swatted him.
"So Eric, whats the movie bout that we're goin' to the premiere for?" Jason asked, flopping on the couch. His feet also not touching the ground, but not in the almost comical way Gran looked.
"It's called the Sins of Men, I play a serial killer who targets pedophiles in law enforcement. It seems through almost all of the movie like I'm just targeting cops, but at the end I kill the lead detective on my trail. He's the officer who violated my daughter and ends with me dropping all the evidence for all the evil cops on his body that he had been hiding to protect them and himself on his dead body and I just sort of walk away. It's the movie I was shooting in New Orleans." Eric said as he pulled Sookie up onto his lap and rubbed his face on her neck.
"Wow, that sounds heavy. Think you'll win any awards for it?" Gran asked excitedly.
"I doubt it, I'm not really the awards kind of actor. I don't play the game enough in Hollywood to do awards. Plus, this movie is an indie film, we'll be lucky if it even gets a nationwide release. It was a movie I made just because I really liked the script and the director. Pam said it was a waste of my time." Eric snickered at the last part.
"They don't just give awards to whoever was the best?" Jason asked.
"HA! No, not usually unless the general public is crazy for a particular movie. Actors tend to have to campaign to get nominated and to win. I won't do either." Eric said.
"You won't?" Gran asked and Sookie laughed and said.
"Yeah, he'd lay on the floor and refuse to work if he was asked to do something like that. Eric only does what Eric wants to do. There is no motivation for him to seek awards." Eric just looked at them and gave a shit eating grin. That is exactly what he would do.
"I'm successful as I am now. I don't need someone to tell me I did a good job. I watch my movies when they are done. I know if they are good or not." Eric said with a shrug. Sookie smiled and snuggled into him. Erics phone started ringing, but he made no move to answer it. That wasn't abnormal. Eric didn't really answer his phone because the chance of him having to have a conversation he didn't want to have was too high if he answered it. Sookies phone started ringing and she leaned forward and grabbed it.
"It's Pam." She said, Eric took her phone, declined the call then turned her phone off and grinned at her looking like the absolute menace he was making her laugh.
"That's only going to piss her off more." Sookie said, smiling.
"Good." Eric said nonchalantly. The house phone started ringing and Eric laughed. "Oh she's big mad." The doorbell rang and Eric jumped up. "Foods here!" He went and got it, giving the driver a nice tip and came back to peel Gran out of his couch, so they could all go to the table and eat. They were chit chatting around the table eating and were almost done when they heard someone absolutely trying to bang the door down.
"Hey, Eric. I think someone is at the door." Amelia laughed, as she stood up to go get the door.
"Yeah, who would possible be that irritated to be banging on the door like a feral animal?" Eric chuckled.
"I'm gonna take Gran to go lay down. y'all can sort that issue out without us, c'mon Gran." Jason said helping her up and leading her out the sliding glass back door out to the guest house.
"What?" Amelia barked at Pam as she flung the door open on her. Pam instinctually took a step back away from Amelia and hissed.
"Where is Eric?"
"I'm right here." Eric said from behind Amelia, standing in his foyer, arm around Sookie.
"Let me in, move your hound." Pam seethed.
"Mmmm, naw. See she's my bodyguard and as head of my security she has advised me to keep her in a good position to allow her to hand you your ass if she needs too." Eric said and Amelia Juked Pam, making her flinch. Pam took a shaky deep breath, her face completely red and asked.
"Why is TMZ calling me asking what your new girlfriends name is and why do they have videos of you making out with Sookie all over LAX and one of you saying she's your girlfriend from your own mouth?" Her tone was absolutely venomous.
"Because she's my girlfriend and I was making out with her all over LAX when we went to pick up Sookies Gran and Brother." Eric said matter of factly.
"She is NOT your girlfriend." Pam said her hands balling into fists. If they started sleeping together that would be it, sookie would never be out of the way.
"Yes I am." Sookie said and Eric nodded.
"No you are not!" Pam yelled back at her.
"My dick exclusively taking residence inside of her sure says she is." Eric said, sounding mock confused. Amelia hunched over laughing and Sookie looked at him with what he calls her crazy eyes blushing 10 shades of red.
"You are not allowed to sleep with her." Pam said as she started feeling physical pain for how angry she was.
"Uh oh, too late." Sookie said and laughed.
"Eric I told you to cut her loose. You cannot be banging your assistant." Pam said anger in her voice.
"I'm not banging my assistant. I only bang Sookie when she is off the clock. Trust me, I have tried to fuck her while she is on duty. Unfortunately, she's too much of a professional and will only let me fuck her after all of the work is done for the day." Eric lamented.
"I'm a hard ass like that." Sookie said with a nod.
"What am I supposed to tell TMZ?" Pam spat. And Eric rolled his eyes.
"Well, we can go with nothing again? Just say nothing. Who really cares who my girlfriend is? Anyone who matters knows her name. You told me I needed to date, I'm dating. Mission accomplished." Eric said with a smile looking lovingly down at Sookie who was wrapped around his waist.
"Date anyone but that Bitch!" Pam spat. Faster than Pam could register Amelias hand, she got slapped so hard she fell on her ass.
"I told you, no one hurts Sookie." Amelia seethed as she crouched over Pam in the entryway, pulling her hand back as if to offer her seconds.
"Eric?" Pam asked looking at him with pleading eyes.
"You called Sookie a bitch, you had that coming. It's time for you to go. I have guests. You have your answer on how I want the girlfriend PR handled, I will see you at the premiere. Email Sookie if you have work stuff come up." Eric said as he released Sookie, walked forward and pulled Amelia into the house and shut and locked the door.
"Soooooo… The stylist is coming at 7 for Gran and Jason to get them stuff for the premier. Let's all go take a rest and meet back at 6." Sookie suggested and Eric nodded his head happily.
"Rest must be code for sex." Amelia snarked.
"How I rest is my business." Sookie said with dismissive hands.
"We're going to rest until 6, bye." Eric said and threw Sookie over his shoulder and carried her up to what he is now calling 'their' room because he refuses to accept a future where she is no longer in his bed with his daily. It's just where she belongs.
On Sunday, Sookie and Eric went to his fitting and did a short pre recorded interview for a radio station, where Eric did more of his own PR that would definitely piss off Pam. Like how he stays away from romantic rolls because he doesn't like kissing people he doesn't have an emotional connection with and it makes him have a hard time having good chemistry with actresses in those regards. Then when asked about which actresses he does like to work with he talked about Liking Isobel Sanches when he did thriller with her where he played her stalker. He liked her boyfriend Stan and got a friend out of the movie making experience because he and Stan still hang out. Pam would hate that because he talked about a guy instead of an actress and Pam already hates the gay rumors about him. Sookie half thought he did his bi curious rambling on purpose.
"Did you make yourself sound gay for Stan on purpose?" Sookie giggled when they got in the car to go home.
"Absolutely I did." Eric said with a huge smile and exaggerated nod. "Pam hates that there is a whole section of the internet sure that I'm gay. She thinks it's bad for my image. I think it's good for my image. Straights love me. The gays love me. Nobody loses out of the Eric Northman experience."
"Oh my God…" Sookie laughed and drove them home. They had Monday off, and the premier on Tuesday, then full days of press Wednesday- Friday. They were going to need their rest. Sookie pulled in and they were trying to be quiet when they came in. It was after 10 so Gran was for sure asleep and maybe even Amelia since she had to be up early for work early lately. They were giggling softly and kissing as they walked to their bedroom. Eric picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist as he opens his door while they kissed.
"Excuse me." They heard a heavily accented voice say from the other side of the room. Eric slowly pulled back from Sookie and turned to see his Mom casually sitting on his bed.
"Hello, Mor." Eric said as he slowly set a very embarrassed looking sookie down and smoothed out her dress that he had made askew during his groping
"Hello Eric." She said still sitting, her face tight and arms crossed.
"I didn't know you were visiting. What a nice surprise." Eric said, trying not to laugh at the absolute scene that he had just exposed his poor mother to.
"Neither did I. Explain to me why I had to find out you are finally dating Sookie from a reporter ringing me looking for a comment! Then see pictures of you making out all over los Angelas and I had no idea MY SON was even in a relationship? Do you hate me? You don't call me." His mother said getting up off the bed and getting louder as she had gone on speaking.
"I'm sorry, Aude." Sookie said, being appropriately chastised. She wouldn't like getting information about her children from the tabloids either.
"Don't worry dear, I'm not upset with you. Only him and his inability to ever call me!" Eric's mother yelled.
"We have only been official for a little bit. We aren't married." Eric said with a sheepish smile.
"Would you notify me before you get married, or would I see the pictures in the paper too?" His Mom snapped.
"Sookie would probably tell you, or send you an invitation. Right?" Eric said and his Mom threw a pillow at him and yelled.
"I'M MAD BECAUSE YOU DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING OR CALL ME! I DON'T WANT SOOKIE TO CALL I WANT YOU TO!" His mom yelled ,and Eric put Sookie behind him to protect her from stray projectiles as his mother pelted him with things. If anyone ever wondered where Eric got his dramatic streak, they only need to meet his mother.
"Okay, I'm going to make sure to call you! I'm sorry! I'm Sorry!" Eric yelled back now having switched to Swedish.
"Once a week, minimum." His mother said leveling him with a look.
"Yes, at least once a week. Sookie, put it in my calendar." Eric said waving his hand at Sookie.
"Already done." She said and waved her phone at him.
"Wonderful." His Mother said with a clap of her hands acting like nothing had happened and she didn't just throw anything in reach at Eric while she screamed at him. "So, I'm here for three weeks. I brought your brother Bill because he's on holiday."
"Oh, is Dad or Karin coming?" Eric asked.
"Your father will be here in two weeks for the last week of my trip. Karin has too much work, you WILL see her at Christmas when you and Sookie come and visit for the holiday." She wasn't asking, she was ordering. They would be spending Christmas in Sweden apparently. Eric looked apologetically down at Sookie who just shrugged and mouthed 'okay' at him.
"Sookies, Gran and Brother are here." Eric said, moving around to clean up all of the things she had pelted him with.
"I know, I have been here since 2. Jason Set Bill and I up in rooms on the other side of the house because apparently you two fuck like bunnies and are loud about it." She snickered and Sookie blazed red again. Eric just chuckled.
"That's for the best."
"Well, I'm going to bed. I will see you tomorrow. You are taking me and Adele to brunch at 11." His mother waved and sauntered out of the room making a delicate finger wave at them. Eric quietly shut and locked the door behind her.
"We should get to sleep, apparently we have brunch plans." Sookie giggled as she helped him pick up his room.
"That happens when Hurricane Aude hits town." He sighed.
"So, we are spending Christmas in Sweden?" Sookie said.
"I guess, I hope I'm not filming anything then, or have other commitments. I can try to get us out of it." He said, pulling her to him, and resting his chin on the top of her head.
"You aren't, your next movie doesn't start filming until February. We can spend most of December and January there if you want to spend some time at your place in Stockholm too." She suggested looking at her phone and his schedule.
"I would actually love that. You will stay with me too? The whole time?" He asked hopefully.
"Of course, it'll be our first vacation together as a couple." She said excitedly.
"You're my girlfriend, we're a couple, I get to have sex with you." He sang to her while she laughed and he gently tickled her.
"Yup, all true." Sookie said. "I need to go get some pajamas from my room."
"Its all in my closet. I moved your things in while you were on the phone this morning." Eric said waving his hand.
"Thats a little high handed to just move me in and assume I'm fine with that." She said with hands on her hips.
"Can we just skip the will we, won't we phase and just accept that you are moving in and you're going to stay? So is Amelia. lets just stop pretending." Eric said as he pleaded wrapping himself around her. Sookie sighed and deflated, she really didn't want to leave.
"Fine…" She relented.
"Perfect, now get naked so I can do naughty things to you." Eric said with a leer pointing at her waving his finger up and down her body. Sookie giggled, but did as he said anyway.
"Can you leave me at the mall while you go to brunch? It's just right there." Bill asked pointing to the mall across the street.
"Works for me." Eric said a handed him some cash.
"You're my favorite brother." Bill said.
"I'm your only brother. The competition wasn't very stiff." Eric chuckled, and let him out of the car. He was driving himself, Sookie and Bill. Jason had driven him, Gran and his mother since he didn't own a vehicle they could all fit comfortably in. Even at 15, Bill was already 6'. Sookie moved into the front seat and they headed off to the restaurant for brunch.
Bill walked in and was just wandering around, going from store to store. He had stopped to get a snack in the food court when a small blonde woman slid in across from him at his table.
"Hello." She said with a smile Bill thought looked almost Evil.
"Ummm, hello?" Bill said back in more of a question looking around.
"I am Pam, Your brothers manager."
"Oh, okay hi. He's not here. hes across the street having brunch with the family.
"I know, I'm here to talk to you." She said grinning again in a way that made his stomach do a weird flip flip he didn't like.
"Oh… umm I don't want to be an actor." Bill said shaking his head and still feeling confused.
"No no, I'm here because I remember a few years ago you fought with your brother when he visited because you were angry he was spending so much time showing Sookie Sweden when he visited and he was ignoring you. Eric told me about it. He's making very bad decisions with Sookie again, and I was hoping you would help me." Pam said sweetly.
Bill took a moment to think, he sort of remembered being pissed at Eric when he was 11 the first time he came with Sookie, but he was being a dumb kid. It was Sookies first time in Sweden. He didn't want to do the tourist stuff. He was the one being a turd not Eric… plus, who takes the complaints of 11 year olds that seriously? He decided to see what she really wanted, and maybe tell Eric what was going on behind his back.
"Okay, what do you want?" Bill asked.
"I want you to help me make it look like Sookie is cheating on Eric. This man is Andre Paul." Pam said showing him a picture on her phone. "Over the next few weeks if you see him around try to separate Sookie and Eric so she can be alone with Andre and pictures can be taken. He was in the movie with Eric thats premiering this week." Pam said like she wasn't trying to destroy his brothers happiness and use him to do it.
"Okay, yeah. Fuck Sookie." Bill said, to just go along and get out of there. Really he couldn't get back to Eric fast enough.
"Wonderful, now just ask to come to the press days so you can see how it works or some shit like that and you'll have plenty of opportunities." Pam said gleefully making tiny claps.
"Okay, I have to go back now. They are waiting for me at the restaurant." Bill said looking at his phone pretending he just got a text.
"Yes yes, don't leave them waiting. And remember, this is out little secret." She said as she stood and reached forward and booped Bills nose with her index finger making him shudder a little.
He got right up and walked straight out of the mall looking around to make sure he wasn't being followed and went into the restaurant where everyone was at. The hostess walked him to their table and Eric said.
"I thought you didn't want to brunch?" But his smile faded when he saw how upset Bill looked and immediately stood and put his arm around him. "Did something happen?" Eric asked concerned. Bill nodded and took the seat that was next to Eric that Jason had moved out of and proceeded to tell the table everything that just happened with pam.
"She's done, she's fired." Eric growled when Bill finished.
"How dare she! He's still a child." Aude said aghast, hugging Bill who still looked queasy.
"We cant fire her until you have new management lined up. She could blow your whole career if we aren't strategic." Sookie said already on her phone and pulling her computer out of her bag and moving her plate to put it on the table.
"I usually agree with you, but I want her gone and now." Eric said sternly to Sookie.
"Her pink slip is already written. I'm taking her out of the loop on everything I can, but we need to secure you new management first. I am reaching out to Rasul Askinrinas, to see if he will take you on. He has expressed interest in you before if you ever drop Pam. She's going to go scorched earth when we cut her loose. We need to let her over play her hand and lose the game on her own. When your career is secure we're going to do a press release explaining your separation from Pam and we're going to list out her unethical behavior and make sure her child abusiveness is public before she can strike you. I'm getting your PI to get the security tapes from the food court right now too." Sookie said typing away on her computer.
"I have a private investigator?" Eric asked bewildered at how cut throat Sookie could be.
"Absolutely." She nodded.
"Damn, Bror…. Nothing is going down on Sookies watch." Bill said amazed at how fast Sookie was working.
"See why I love her so much?" Eric said with a nod. Again, Sookie decided to let his use of the word Love slide off her. She knew ,he knew she'd get to it when she was ready. Eric just didn't hold back.
Eric brought the whole family to the premier, but only walked the red carpet with Sookie and Gran. He was proud to have Sookie on his arm and he made sure to never leave her alone. Bill was coming to the press days, but only to buffer Sookie and Andre. His mother and Gran loved the movie which thrilled him. Thats all he cared about. His mother was very honest with him and had told him some movies he was in have sucked before. So he could trust that it was good if she said it was.
Wednesday Sookie and Eric were in his hotel room waiting for his press junkets to start.
"You know I would never cheat on you? I'm loyal to you, Eric." Sookie said, as Eric rubbed himself all over her like a cat.
"I know." He said absently as he ran his hands up under her dress and all over her body. "This is mine." He said as he ran his hands over her and pressed a kiss into her neck.
"All yours Eric. You don't like to share, thats a well established fact." Sookie giggled, when he got on his knees and put himself under her dress. Rubbing his face on her bra clad chest and stomach, laying kisses as he went.
"Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine." He sang as he kissed.
"You're going to mess up your hair." She moaned as he pulled the cup on her bra down and took her nipple in his mouth.
"I don't care." He said smiling against her skin and slipped her panties off, before tucking him in his pocket.
"Eric, I need those." She whisper whined as he slid a finger into her.
"Too bad, they're mine now." He said as he inched her back to the bed so she would fall onto it and lifter her legs over his shoulders.
"Eric, you have your first interview in 15 minuets." She said and trailed into a moan as his mouth moved to her center.
"Thats plenty of time for a quicky." He whispered against her.
"Oh…ohhhhh ohhh ahhhh." She cried as he worked her. When she was ready for him he unbuttoned his pants and slid them down before her entered her with a groan.
"See plenty of time." He said before he kissed her deeply as he pumped in and out of her. Their joining was hurried, but not really rushed. She came with a cry and Eric bit her shoulder when he came inside of her soon after. He kissed her again, and gingerly put her bra back to rights and fixed her dress and tucked himself back in. Sookie was fixing his hair and he slid his hand up her skirt one more time between her folds and said.
"Now you'll be leaking me all day." He smiled looking so proud of himself. Sookie swatted him and shook her head, but also…. She sort of liked it.
"You're nasty." She said.
"Yes yes I am, and you're my nasty lil sookie." He kissed her again and there was a knock on the door. It was the PA saying they were ready for them. Eric winked at Sookie and they walked to the room where the junkets were being held. Eric was sitting with Andre for the first half of the interviews. You could tell Eric was tense next to him because he was freaking furious he was trying to mess with his Sookie. He was having a hard time acting like everything was fine. Again, Eric didn't have tremendous range as an actor and couldn't really fake buddy buddy with Andre like Pam wanted him to.
"So Eric, you recently did a hard launch of your girlfriend." The interviewer said.
"I mean, if thats what you want to call it. I was just living my life., Jessica " Eric said, his face finally smiling, like Pam had been trying to make him do for hours by maniacally making motions for him to smile behind the camera standing next to sookie and Andres manager, like some deranged stage mother.
"Well, you two look absolutely precious together. It was giving Prince Alex vibes."Jessica said.
"How old are you?" Eric asked, and the young red head blushed.
"I'm 19."
"Oh, so you were a kid when that movie came out." Eric smiled and sat up in his seat.
"I was, that was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Right up there with Ella enchanted." She beamed.
"I love that movie, I always credit it with starting my career. When kids see me out and think I'm prince Alex it just makes my day." Eric said grinning.
"Have they ever approached you about doing a sequel?" Jessica asked.
"I haven't, but I would do it in a heartbeat as long as the story was good. I think thats they only movie that could get me to move away from Villainy." He said nodding, but Pam looked horrified. Eric doing a kids movie is the last thing she needed. She hated that he had even done that movie in the first place.
"So always playing the villain is intentional?" Jessica asked.
"Mostly, I'm a little bit type cast at this point, but I don't mind. I really like playing these twisted dark characters. my character in this movie, Ryan…. He's not even really the bad guy. He's just a man with nothing to lose on a mission. I definitely have my niche In acting and I'm happy to stay there."
"When was the last time you played anyone not at least morally gray, if not outright evil?" Andre asked him.
"Oh… God… I don't know." Eric laughed, now loosening up. "Maybe when I was Lief Erikson on drunk history?" All three of them laughed and Jessica went on to as Andre some questions. You could tell she was less familiar with his career. They shook hands and were told they were breaking for lunch. Sookie sauntered over to him and Pam stormed past her.
"Why would you say you want to do another one of those stupid kiddy movies?" She snapped.
"Uhhhhh, because I do? Oh! I could be King Eric and my daughter who's a princess gets kidnapped and taken back to fairy tail land! Sookie, email that to the studio." Eric said making finger guns at her.
"You got it, baby." Sookie said already tapping on her phone.
"NO! Don't send that! You don't want to do that! Eric, your image!" Pam whined.
"Uhhhh, yeah… I do want to do it. Maybe I'll get producers credits. He said smugly and wagged his eyebrows." Still lounging in his chair thats being used for the interviews absolutely looking like he was owning it. Sookie looked at him and just really wondered how he always managed to make every chair he sat in his bitch.
"Bill just arrived, he brought our lunch." Sookie said when the text came in.
"Oh, great! Pam I'll be in my room. Don't bother me for nonsense." Eric said taking Sookies hand and walking her to the elevator and back up to his room. Bill was already at the door when they were walking up with bags in his hands.
"How's it going?" Bill asked when they walked in the room and he handed out the drinks and sandwiches.
"Fine." Eric shrugged, and took a bite.
"Eric, started rumors he hates Andre acting cold to him." Sookie said elaborating.
"Because I do hate him." Eric clarified and laid on the bed while he ate.
"Laying down while you eat is bad for you." Bill said opening his sandwich.
"I'm a bad boy, Bill. Live on the wild side." Eric said making his own version of crazy eyes. Bill looked at Eric as Eric swept his hand across the bed as if to bacon him to it and laid down next to him and took a bite of his sandwich.
"Don't tell, Mor." Bill mumbled out with a bite of food.
"I'm not scared of, Mor." Eric said indignantly.
"Oh?" Sookie asked and took a picture of them both laying and eating on the bed. "So I can text her this picture."
"No no no! I'm scared of Mor, don't do it!" Eric yelled and tried to scramble up and took sookies phone deleting the picture while she cackled.
"Diabolical." Eric hissed before he laid back down with Sookies phone next to him. Sookie came and sat at the foot of the bed with her sandwich and ate with a huge smile.
The rest of the junkets were uneventful. Sookie was never alone with Andre, despite great efforts by many people to make it happen, including Bill who did it to keep up the charade. Pam made the dumbs idea to put her scheme in writing and emailed bill with opportunities to get Sookie alone with Andre. The press for the movie was finally over and DeCastro had finally asked for a proper meeting with Eric.
They were also meeting with Rasul the day before the DeCastro meeting. So ideally if Eric signs on to the movie Rasul will get paid and not Pam. This movie isn't just juicy and a good part, it will be a huge paycheck because DeCastro movies in general always do really well. They did not want Pam getting a piece of that pie. Sookie had already crafted their press release, and included screen shots of Pam trying to use 15 year old Bill to hurt Eric's relationship and career. She could try to sue Eric, but she would be a fool too. She would be lucky to retain and of her client list after Sookie is done with her. Who would really trust her after this?
For now though, they had a brief day off and Eric was standing with Bill and Jason, Playing darts and as always, getting his ass handed to him by Jason.
"I don't understand. I practice constantly!" Eric said in frustration, handing Jason another $20 bill.
"Eric, half the game of darts is skill the other half is finesse. The darts just like me." Jason said smugly.
"What the fuck is finesse!" Eric yelled and threw his hands up and walked away to take a breather while Jason kept teaching Bill how to play.
"Still getting you ass kicked?" Sookie asked as he came up behind her and wrapped himself around her.
"I don't understand!" Eric whined, and gran giggled.
"Eric I warned you." Gran said as she rolled out a pie crust.
"Your Mom and Gran are just exchanging embarrassing stories about us. I just heard about how you lost your virginity in a bush in the back yard to your neighbors granddaughter who was visiting and got caught by them and they beat your naked ass with a cane." Sookie snickered.
"Thats at least a pretty accurate retelling." Eric laughed and picked Sookie up off her chair and sat back with her in his lap instead.
"Well, Sookie got brought home by the cops at 17 because she was giving road head." Gran snickered and Aude pretended to be scandalized.
"Really, Sookie. Road head?" Eric laughed, but also wondered if she was still willing to do that.
"I was 17 and Gran didn't allow boys in my room! I was low on places to go to do…. Stuff." Sookie said trying to defend herself.
"But a moving car, Sookie…. You could have had Sam pull over." Gran cackled and sookie just buried her head in her hands while Eric laughed under her.
"Christ Gran, stoooooop." Sookie hissed while she was buried into Eric who was just laughing. He realized how happy it made him to have all of the family here. Trey walked in with Amelia and Sookie jumped off her to go hug Amelia. He just sat and smiled. Trying to remember that just a few weeks ago this was not his life. He shook his head as if to shake off his life pre Sookie, and swung back around to let Sookie back in his lap as she pulled Amelia over to show her what Gran and His mom were cooking.
"Looks like you having this big ass house finally makes sense." Trey said coming up behind him and laying a hand on his shoulder.
"I was buying for the future I wanted not the moment I was having." Eric said grinning and hugging Sookie tighter before rubbing his face all over her again.
Eric and Sookie covertly got into Rasuls office and were all set for the meeting.
"So, you're ready to come to the dark side?" Rasul asked with a huge smile greeting them both with a warm handshake as he led them into his office.
"I mean, if you don't think Pam is an evil lunatic." Eric shrugged.
"Here is why Eric wants a change in management." Sookie said and handed Rasul the packet with all of the crazy Pam had been spinning recently and in the last few years in it.
Rasul took it and read through it. His eyes would go wide in some places, or he would gasp or sigh. He actually went through it a second time before he set it down and said.
"Well, I'm happy to take you on as a client. I'm representing Clancy O'hollighan who was already cast in the next DeCastro movie, so that transition should be easy as pie. Do you have anything else in your pipeline?"
"Eric is filming Area 5, directed by Tommy Miggins in February, and he has The Bomber in post production." Sookie said answering the question. She knew for a fact Eric had zero idea what he had going on and forgets most movies he films almost immediately when they wrap. There are a few exceptions, that stick with him, but most are in one ear out the other for him. Sookie knew for a fact Eric would have forgotten he filmed the Bomber. He had to go back for a reshoot and forgot what the movie was about to the point he forgot his characters name.
"Thats not too much, how many films do you take a year usually?" Rasual asked.
"I take what I like, sometimes 4, sometimes 1. I have motivation problems." Eric said honestly.
"Yeah, I had heard horror stories about you on set." Rasual laughed and Eric just shrugged. "But you have this lil lady now, and she keeps you straight, right?"
"Yes, my Sookie is essential to my career." Eric nodded.
"Great, well I think we are all pretty happy with what we can do for each other. Let's sign some papers, Sookie I assume you want to read it first?" Rasul smirked and handed her the contract. Eric was happy already. Rasul understood that everything went through Sookie, Sookie is essential and not disposable.
They gave him their statement to release the next morning at 6am. Rasul had a PR rep at his management firm, who understood for the most part Eric wanted a say nothing approach to PR unless he said otherwise. Eric and Sookie walked out hand in hand.
"Nervous?" Sookie asked him as they got into the car.
"No, more like…. Just over it. I know it's going to blow up tomorrow and I'm just not into it. The whole Pam thing is boring now." Eric said closing his eyes and resting his arm over his face.
"Well, it's almost over. You have new management and he's sending you only scripts you want to read. If anything it's all looking up now." Sookie said as they headed home.
Their phones started blowing up just after 6. Pam couldn't get through the gate to his neighborhood anymore so they weren't concerned about Pam just showing up at the house. Sookie silenced the phones, took the house phone off the hook and had Eric just focus on his DeCastro meeting later.
"Eric, Son….. it's a madhouse out there!" His Dad Godric called when he walked in the house.
"Pappa!" Eric yelled and ran across the house like a little kid to greet his father.
"How are you ,my boy?" Godric said looking Eric over with approval and pride.
"Shitty, I fired my manager and now things are changing. AHHHHHH" Eric said making wild arm gestures and clearly freaking out a bit.
"So, thats why theres a circus outside the gates." His father said with an understanding nod.
"yes." Eric said, making a finger Gun and walked his father into the house. He did introductions and put his bags in the room his mother was staying in.
"See ya later, Eric. Good luck." Amelia said as she walked out to work.
"Thanks." Eric said with a weird forced smile. He was clearly not doing well and it was making Sookie nervous.
"Hey, Eric… lets go upstairs and take a moment to recalibrate." She said with concern in her voice.
"Okay, yeah sure." Eric said, following her up the stairs. Sookie opened the door to their room and shoved him through, shutting and locking it behind her.
"Eric, what do you need?" She asked taking his hands.
"The power of time travel to skip all this shit?" Eric asked hopefully.
"Well, I'm afraid thats not possible, so anything else?" She asked going and sitting on the bed.
"Lay down." He ordered and sookie flopped back and pulled her legs up. Eric smiled. Eric was traditionally, kind of a mess that Sookie held together through sheer force of will. He loved that when it came to the privacy of their room he was in control and not an anxious, flakey mess. Even before he had Sookie as his she would lay and just let him pet her and touch her to soothe himself.
"Take your dress off." He said quietly as he climbed on the bed next to her. She complied and tossed her dress off to the side. He absolutely loved that she almost exclusively wore dresses, best and easiest access.
"Roll on your stomach." She did, rolling towards him. He reached over and unhooked her bra. He slid her arms out of it and ran his hands all over her back and trailed kisses down her spine. When he got to her underwear he hooked his thumbs in them and pulled them down. Sookie lifted her hips so he could do it without having to be told which made him smile.
"Back on your back." He said and she flipped back over leaving her bra on the bed, Eric grabbed it and tossed it to the side. He drank in her naked body. Sookie was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. All of his anxiety about all the change that was happing in his professional life was flying out of his head. He just smiled and laid his entire, still clothed body on top of her and he buried his face in her neck. Sookie wrapped her arms and legs around him and trailed her nails up and down his back like she knows he likes.
"Eric?" She whispered to him quietly.
"Hmm?" He hummed against her.
"I love you too, it's going to be okay." She said and she knew she meant it with all her heart. He let out a jagged breath and said.
"Don't just say it to make me feel better." He begged.
"I'm not, I mean it. I love you and I think I have for a long time. We're going to handle this like a team. In a year you won't even remember today."
"I will never forget the day you picked me to love." Eric said sitting up and looking at her face. Taking it all in and adoring every single piece of her.
"I do pick you. It's not even a contest. You may be obsessed with me, but I am dedicated and loyal to you. I will never let you weather a shit storm alone. I will always do what needs to be done to get you where you need to go." Sookie promised.
"I am obsessed with you." Eric agreed, and he sat up and took his shirt off.
"Good, I like it." Sookie said and winked at him.
"I am going to fuck you so hard." He growled.
"Good, it's your pussy. Fuck it." Sookie said like she was challenging him.
"Say it again." He growled at her.
"its. your. Pussy…. FUCK IT." Sookie said now adding some sass. Eric shoved his longe pants off and slid a finger into her.
"You are so wet for me." He purred and lightly bit the side of her face.
"Always for you."
"I love you so much, it's practically unhealthy.
"I love you too, so much… but you won't die on my watch. Seeing to your overall health is part of my job and I'm great at my job.
"Good." He whispered and slid into her and just stayed still resting inside of her. Enjoying the feeling of being joined. Sookie pulled him down and just kissed him. She tried to convey all of her love for him I that kiss.
"This is right, this is where I belong." Eric said almost like a prayer over her as he started to move. They were meeting each others stokes. Matching rhythm perfectly. If Eric thought they had made love before he was wrong because this was truly the best sex he had ever had and could only be described as love making.
"Eric, I'm so close." Sookie breathed out, holding him tighter to him. He reached between them to rub her clit and within a few strokes she fell apart around him. She saw stars and shook her hole body being taken by the most intense orgasam of her life. Eric came quickly behind her. Staying in her after, just laying and loving her. When they had both recovered he slid next to her and said.
"That was some of our best sex yet." Sookie giggled and said.
"Yeah, that was definitely the A game. We're getting really really good at having sex with each other."
"We really are, we should keep having sex only with each other forever." Eric said with a smile.
"I fully agree." She said and leaned over to kiss him again. They laid together just enjoying the intimacy they were having for another hour or so until it was time to get ready to go to the DeCastro meeting.
Everyone else had decided to go out, assuming Eric was going to be having a full day freak out, which as it turned out he wasn't. Sookie calmed him right down. Sookie called a car, because she didn't want to drive through the droves of paparazzi herself. As they drove out of the gates, Eric hugged her to him as they passed the sea of flash bulbs and screams. The drive was quiet, not uncomfortably so though. Eric just read over the script again and tried to get his head in the right place.
They pulled up to the Chateau Mormont, where the meeting was being held. Eric got out first and helped Sookie out. He held her close to him as they pushed through the crowd of paparazzi. Once they were inside things died down and he just casually held her hand. They were walking into the restaurant, DeCastro saw them and stood waving when suddenly Sookie faltered. Eric turned and saw pam behind Sookie.
"YOU RUINED MY LIFE!" Pam screamed…. Sookie was collapsing to the ground. Eric finally registered the knife in Sookies back.
From there Eric could hardly perceive anything going on around him. Sookie was in his arms limp. Pam was tackled by security. Felipe DeCastro was calling 911 and yelling at people to make space….. everything happened in a blur. The ambulance, the hospital…. Pam had stabbed Sookie.
That crazy bitch stabbed sookie in the back.
He was standing dazed in the waiting room while Sookie was in surgery. Everyone came running in and Eric still didn't have words. His mom ran up to him and said.
"Eric, why did I hear Pam stabbed sookie from a google alert and not you?" She was trying to smile, but Eric still just looked dazed. She pulled him to her and said.
"Baby, is okay she will be okay."
"Her blood is on me." Eric said holding up his hands and pointing to his blue shirt and light wash jeans that had her blood all over them.
"Well, let's go wash you hands…. Godric!" She called for his father.
"Yes." He said walking up to them.
"Can you go get Eric a change of clothes. I'm going to get his hands washed." Aude said calmly. "Jason, help Your Gran get an update on her condition. Come on baby." Aude coo'ed and pulled Eric into the bathroom and washed all of the blood off of his hands and arms. She was drying his hands with paper towels and said.
"She will be okay, honey I know it okay."
"I was holding her hand and Pam stabbed her in the back… I didn't even see it. I didn't protect her." Eric said finally breaking and slumping into a chair, putting his face in his now clean hands.
"Eric, no one saw this coming. Sookie is going to be so pissed when she wakes up. Would you like the update?" Gran said, wiping her own tears and sitting next to him.
"Yeah." He said not lifting his head out of his hands, his large body almost curled into a ball.
"Well, they are closing her up. The knife knicked her lung and it collapsed, but it missed everything else important. We can see her soon." Gran put her hand on his back.
"Don't cry darling, Sookie is going to be okay." Gran tried to soothe Eric. Jason was standing back with Bill, and stepped forward and said.
"Bill and I are gonna go get Sooks phone and purse that nurse said she had." Gran nodded and Jason put his hand on Bills shoulder and led him out. Rasul walked in past Jason as he walked out.
"Hey, Eric." Rasul said kneeling in front of him.
"Yeah." Eric said in a muffled tone since he still wasn't moving.
"Listen, when you're ready we will make a statement. Take your time and run it past Sookie. Alright, no rush. The whole thing was filmed by the paparazzi. For once they were good for something. Really, the story is out there, we can just say nothing and give you and Sookie some space. I cleared out your schedule until November so you can just focus on your girl, okay." Rasul said gently.
"Really?" Eric said looking up for the first time.
"Yeah, your family comes first. Nothing you had going on was really that pressing. Just the tail end of press and another episode of drunk history, they were happy to switch the episode order so you aren't filming until November. You have a few shoots for the cologne campaign, but they can suck my dick. its a perfume ad, who cares."
"I'm sorry, my last manager stabbed my girlfriend and now you are telling Calvin Kline to suck your dick. its a change." Eric said trying to compute what was happening.
"I think we're going to like working together. You take it easy, let me know if you need anything." Rasul said standing up.
"Wait, when Sookie gets out of the hospital I want a private plane to take us home to Louisiana. I don't want her trying to recover in the fish bowl that is LA." Eric said and Gran Just put her hand over her heart and pursed her lips.
"No problem, just let me know when she's getting sprung and your passenger list." Rasul said giving him a thumbs up and walked out. Eric sat for a second and looked at his mom.
"I don't know how to get ahold of him, Sookie does stuff like that." He said sounding forlorn.
"Don't worry, we will figure it out." His mom assured him and Gran hugged him again.
Later sookie was put in a room and they got to go back to see her. When they walked in her eyes blinked open and she said.
"That cunt stabbed me in the back, what a coward." She smiled, but Eric just quickly walked over and hugged her.
"I am so so sorry."
"Did you get the part?" Sookie asked and he just looked at her like she was crazy.
"Who fucking cares?" He said and finally laughed. Finally able to ground himself now that he can see that she is okay, or at least as okay as she can reasonably be given the circumstances.
"I want to go home for a while." She said to him.
"I already planned on going back to Louisiana for you to recover, weirdly I mostly already took care of it." Eric said with pride.
"Well, look at you go. Mister messy messy is all in charge now." Sookie said smiling and shutting her eyes. Eric softly kissed her and sat down in the chair next to her closing his own eyes. Today, was definitely one he wasn't going to forget.
5 years later
"So Eric, it's nice to see you again." Jessica said. Eric had made sure she got a full length exclusive interview with him for the release of King Alex: Back To Fairy Tale Land.
The studio loved the idea he had for the Prince Alex character. Bill had actually written the screen play. It took a few years to get made, but in the end it was perfect timing.
"It's great to see you again too. You're still my favorite person to do interviews with." Eric grinned.
"So let's get to it, how was it coming back as Prince Alex, or King Alex now?" Jessica asked.
"Amazing, this was the character that started my career. It was fitting to revisit it after hitting so many highs in my career." He smiled and looked over at his costar's happily.
"What was it like working with your wife and daughter on set?" Jessica asked.
"Well, Sookie isn't an actress, but I didn't want any one but her to be my Queen, and casting my daughter as my daughter was a no brainer. We did have to just use her name instead of the original one we had because Felicia couldn't remember to answer to Alexandria." Eric chuckled and looked back at Sookie who was holding their sleeping toddler against her chest.
"Sookie, how was it for you, your first time acting?" Jessica asked with a smile.
"First, and last." Sookie laughed. "My part wasn't huge because I was taken in the beginning of the movie and most of the plot just circled around Eric and Felicia getting me back. It was really mercy that I'm only in the movie for 13 minuets."
"I loved it, you guys already know I was a huge fan of the first movie when I was little. I love that the sequel was written to really acknowledge that most of the kids who grew up with it are getting older and facing new and different adult problems." Jessica stated.
"I think that really comes down to my brother Bill writing it when he was 17. He was at that transitional age and really captured the feeling of entering a new phase in life well." Eric complimented. Bill had written a great script, he had gone on to write a few good screen plays and currently was writing for a science fiction tv show, which was impressive for only being 20.
"So, I know you get asked about this all the time…. But your Oscar." Jessica said with a smile making Eric and Sookie immediately laugh.
"Yeah, that thing… well… I didn't care, so I didn't go to the ceremony. The Felipe DeCastro accepted it for me, but I forgot I won so when I was asked about it I didn't know what to say. In my defense, we had a lot going on." Eric said putting his hands up in surrender. "Sookie was on bed rest with Felisha, her Gran had just moved in to help with the baby. My friend Trey had just gotten married to our friend Amelia, and they were moving out. I forgot to call my Mom that week…. It was a really chaotic time."
"Where is your best supporting actor Oscar now?" Jessica asked.
"I think Felipe still has it." Eric laughed out and Sookie nodded.
"Sookie, when are you due?" Jessica asked now turning to Sookie who adjusted Felisha to show her pregnant belly that Eric reached over and lovingly rubbed.
"I'm 35 weeks so, almost any time now." Sookie smiled.
"Do you mind is I ask if it's a boy or girl?" Jessica asked politely, no pressure.
"Its another girl, we're actually naming her Jessica." Eric said and Sookie grinned.
"No shit!" Jessica gasped and leaned forward in her seat wide eyed.
"Yes shit, you gave me the best idea I ever had in out first interview together. Plus, I like the name." Eric said with a shrug.
"Oh my God! This is so freaking cool!" Jessica beamed. "We should talk about the movie more, but real quick… what do you think was the most important move you ever made in your career was?" Jessica asked sitting back down and trying to act professional again.
"Honestly, hiring Sookie." Eric said and looked over at his wife and his girls. She really was his best decision ever.
