AN: I do not own Code Geass

Batazr: Alice being introduced into the story might be a thing in the future, though, I'll have to do more research about her before I can actually do that.

DarkDremora/XxPistolgun: I'm actually glad Clovis' death had that kind of effect, as that's what I was going for the whole time.

Komod0-Sensei: Yeah, I guess it did go pretty well if you take everything into consideration

Chapter 27: Consequences

Dear Lila,

I hope this letter finds you well. While I know you may have some resentment for me abandoning you for over six years, I would appreciate it if you hear me out, just this once. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not being there for you, missing birthdays, Christmas', and Thanksgivings. But most of all, I'm sorry for not listening to you. The words I told you before leaving forJapan, they were cruel, too cruel to be telling a six-year-old. I was a fool, no, I still am a fool. When thinking of ways to make it up to you, apologizing never crossed my mind. I thought showering you in gifts would get myself back in your good graces, but that was wrong. I'm glad I was able to apologize in the end, otherwise, I would've died with regrets. No, I still have regrets. Not being able to attend Christmas this year is one of them.

Speaking of which, it looks like I lied again, huh? Yeah, it looks like I won't be over for Christmas again this year. But look at the bright side! I did get you a Christmas present. Though, I'm not going to tell you what it is now, as that would ruin the surprise. If everything's just as I left it, then your present should be in my room in the Viceroy palace.

Once again, I'm sorry, and I know I have no right to ask this of you, but could please, please don't feel sad. I don't want to be the reason for your crying, even though I know you can't help it. Be happy, as seeing you smile, makes me the happiest big brother in the world.

From your ever loving Big Brother,Clovis La Britannia.

P.S That apple fritter you made for Thanksgiving, was the best apple fritter I've ever had.

"NOOOO!" Lila's voice rung throughout the La Britannia manor

"Please, calm down-"

Gabrielle tried to calm her daughter down, but it was to no effect, "Shut up! You're a liar, all of you! Big Brother can't be dead! He promised to join us for Christmas! He promised!" she clenched onto the letter addressed to her with tears in her eyes. Then, she ran away, crashing face-first into her bed upon entering her room, "He promised!" she screamed into her pillow.

Soon, her mother followed suit, gently closing the door behind her, leaving them alone, "Listen… I know this is hard on you, believe me, this news hurts me too. But we have to stay strong," she sat on her daughter's bed pulling her face out of the pillows, "It's okay to be sad, but we can't let this affect us forever." these words were lies. In truth, Gabrielle wanted to die. Her son, her own blood, was now dead. However, she couldn't succumb to those thoughts, as she had to put up a strong front for her daughter. "If you need to cry, please, cry into my arms," she said while pulling Lila into her chest, allowing for her to let out all her emotions.

Rage, sadness, all of it came pouring out in that instant. This affected Gabrielle as well, causing tears to fall silently down her face while comforting her daughter. She couldn't let Lila see her cry.

Of course, they weren't the only ones affected by Clovis' death.

Meanwhile, in a G1 somewhere in the Middle East…

"Clovis is dead?" Cornelia asked with strained eyes, "This can't be…"

"They say he was assassinated, Princess," her loyal knight, Guilford, reported.

"How disgraceful!" Darlton shouted, "If only he focused on killing those damned Eleven's instead of building theme parks, this would've never happened!"

"Silence!" the witch of Britannia ordered, "I won't have anyone speaking ill of my brother just days after his death!" she clenched the armrest of her throne tightly, "First Lelouch and Nunally, now Clovis too? Just how cruel are the people of Area 11?"

"Might I suggest we make way to Area 11 at once?" Guilford said with a bow.

"No… father would never allow it, especially since we've made so much headway in taking over Area 18…" Cornelia watched a sandstorm off in the distance, slowly approaching them, "It would be disgraceful to drop everything after we've made such progress."

"But Princess-"

"Don't worry, Guilford, I know. But there's nothing I can do."

"Why don't you send Princess Euphemia in your place?"

"Are you crazy!?" she slammed her fist, "I'm not going to send another one of my siblings to die in Area 11! Especially Euphie!"

"If I may interject," Darlton broke his silence, "Perhaps you could send one of us to protect the Princess in her short visit. She'll only be there for a day or two, after all. Then she'll return to the homeland."

Cornelia sighed in frustration, "I know Euphie would want to go, and if she does decide to sneak on over to Area 11… aw who am I kidding. She's definitely going to Area 11 after hearing the news. At least this way, I'll have someone to protect her…"

Ashford Academy, December 21st.

Lelouch threw up into a toilet after recalling his actions two days ago… "Looks like I'm not as tough as I thought…" he muttered while cleaning his face at one of the sinks, "Damn it… why did I allow him to write that letter?" an image of a crying Lila flashed in his mind, "I hardly know her… why is this affecting me so much?"

He left the men's restroom and walked back to class, "I can't think about that now… I've got bigger problems… like those premonitions…" the rest of the day was uneventful. Kallen was currently helping her brother move his stuff out of his apartment, Rivalz was repairing his motorcycle, Milly was out on a business meeting, Nina was busy typing away at her computer, and Shirley… well, she did talk with Lelouch, but it was mostly just asking why he called her about Shinjuku the other day. However, he brushed her off, saying he just wanted to know about the smoke coming from the Ghetto.

Now, it was 5:00 PM, and Lelouch was writing three things in his notebook, each pertaining to the visions he witnessed while gaining his new 'Geass'. "In total, I saw three images. One, was me getting stabbing through the chest by some hazy figure, another was me in a strange costume, sitting in a large Knightmare over the Tokyo settlement. And finally…" he hesitated when writing this last thought down, "Was me facing off against father…"

Just as he was about to lean back in his chair, he heard rapid footsteps approaching from outside, ones that were almost too easy to recognize. So, he hid his notebook in his drawer just as the door to his room burst open, "Lulu~" his girlfriend, Kallen Stadtfeld called, "Did you miss me?" she asked while draping her arms over his shoulders, "Hey… what's that you're hiding? A diary perhaps?" she tried to open the drawer, but her hand was playfully slapped away, "No way. I've got to keep some secrets to myself, you know."

Kallen puffed out her cheek, "What? Oh, c'mon! I'm your girlfriend," she poked his cheek with her finger, "You know you can tell me anything, right?"

"Hmm… I suppose you're right…" he turned, now looking at her in the eyes, "Then… can I ask, how you did all that yesterday?"

It wasn't what the red head wanted to hear, "Nope, it's a secret~"

"Then might I ask why you expect me to answer your question?"

"Because~" she placed her hands on Lelouch's side, and began tickling him, "If you don't, then I'll just force it out of you like this!"

At first, the Prince squirmed while holding back his laughter. Eventually, however, he began returning the gesture with full force, taking Kallen by surprise "Wha-no stop-ah!" she fell to the ground as he began tickling her sides, "Do you really think you can overpower me!?" she shouted while holding back laughter.

"Not really, but I doubt you'd be able to fight back like this!" he replied while resuming his assault, this time, the red head swatted away his hands at every turn while backing away, but eventually, her defense fell and Lelouch began tickling her once again.

"Man… am I really doing this?" Naoto stood at the gates of Ashford Academy, holding a small gift bag, "I know Kallen wanted me to meet mom again, but did it really have to be today?" he walked onto campus, being guided by the Japanese maid, Sayoko, who was waiting for his arrival.

"Mrs. Stadtfeld should be in the kitchen playing with Nunally." she said as they entered the clubhouse.

"Oh… thank you," the Kozuki responded as she took the gift bag from him graciously. "Nunally? Does that mean Lelouch is here too?" he continued to follow the maid up the stairs until they reached the kitchen, where a surprised Ms. Kozuki stared at her son in disbelief, "Hi… mom…" he awkwardly greeted her, "It's good to see you again…"

Like the innocent girl she was, Nunally broke the silence, "Oh? Is this your son? I remember you telling me about him once, right? His name was… Naoto, correct?" she faced the man's direction, "It's nice to meet you. My name's Nunally Lamprouge."

"Whoa… she looks nothing like the picture…" Naoto thought while turning his attention to the Princess, "Um… yeah, it's nice to meet you too."

"Shall I go get Kallen?" Sayoko suggested

However, the older Kozuki wanted to get out of this uncomfortable situation as soon as possible, so he volunteered to get them, "Actually, let me go get them, just give me some directions…"

Nunally's smile slightly faded, after all, just because she's blind, doesn't mean she can't read a room. Though, she granted his request regardless, maybe Kallen could talk some sense into him after all? "Sayoko, could you please tell him where to go?"

"Of course." the Japanese stepped outside and pointed down the hallway, "It'll be that door." she pointed at a closed door toward the left side of the hall.

"Th-thank you…" Naoto twiddled his thumbs while strutting down the corridor, "Why am I so nervous!? It's just mom! I can still talk to her, right?" he shook his head, "Yeah! She doesn't hate me! She can't… right? I haven't done anything…" those words rung through his mind, "I haven't… done anything…"

Naoto stopped in front of the designated door and took in a deep breath, that's when he suddenly heard a pair of laughter emanating from within, "Lelouch! Stop that!" it was his sister's voice.

"Not until you yield first!" he heard Lelouch respond

"What the hell are they doing?" he muttered while reaching for the door handle.

"Ah- Not there~" Naoto's face turned red from both embarrassment and anger, "Since when did you get so much stamina!?" she continued through her laughter.

"Oh hell no." the older Kozuki opened the door without knocking, only to come across a sight that both relieved, and shock him.

Lelouch was currently on top of his sister, tickling her sides endlessly as she hopelessly squirmed under his weight, "I said stop!" she responded playfully.

They clearly didn't notice his entrance, as they continued rough-housing, it wasn't until Naoto cleared his throat that the couple stopped dead in their tracks, "What the hell is going on?"

Lelouch and Kallen slowly turned their heads to face Naoto; their faces had the same look of shock when a kid would get caught trying to eat another candy bar, "Um… it's not what it looks like-"

"Get off my sister." the resistance leader wasn't planning on listening to any of Lelouch's responses. "Now!"

However, when the Prince tried to move, Kallen latched onto him with her arms and legs, before shouting, "Naoto! What are you doing here!?"

Now, Lelouch was in the middle of a shouting match between the two Kozuki's, "What!? You told me to come here! You said you wanted me to talk with mom, and yet look at you," he pointed at the boy, "Instead of waiting to greet me, you're in here fooling around with Lelouch!"

"Please leave me out of this…"

"Shut up!"

"Don't tell him to shut up!" Kallen replied while standing up, allowing for the Prince to back out of the situation.

"What-why're you defending him!?" Naoto didn't want to hear her say it, but at the same time, he needed confirmation.

"Isn't it obvious?" she grabbed Lelouch's arm, pulling him close to her in the process, "We're dating!"

The resistance leader sighed, "God dammit…" he walked over to the boy's bed and sat down, his head hung down in defeat, "I was hoping this didn't happen… it could've been anyone, so why? Why him?" his eyes scanned her sister's boyfriend, "Of everyone in the world, why you?"

Kallen noticed the sad look on her brother's face, and said, "Lelouch, could you leave us alone for a bit?"

The Prince swiftly left the room, closing the door behind him, allowing for the siblings to begin their conversation, "Why?" one word was all Naoto said.

"Because I love him."

"Of course you do." her brother sighed, "I mean, is there an actual reason? Why did you… fall in love with him?"

Obviously, Kallen couldn't tell Naoto about knowing Lelouch from another timeline, so instead, she had to come up with something else, "Well… in these past few months, I saw who he really was. He wasn't like the other Britannians who looked down on others just because of their status, he treated everyone equally, while simultaneously helping the less fortunate." these weren't things she experienced in this timeline, but Naoto didn't need to know that. Of course, some of these descriptions might've been inflated just to make Lelouch look better.

"But… it isn't exactly… optimal to date someone running a revolution against one of-no, THE world's biggest superpower. What if he dies?"

The memory of Lelouch's lifeless body sliding down the Emperor's ramp, stopping next to Nunally flashed in Kallen's mind, "That won't happen."

"But what if it does?"

She remembered the days she spent crying after those events. "If he does…" no, Naoto didn't want to hear her say that, "If he does… then I don't know what I'd do."

No. She knew. If Lelouch died right now, at this instant, Kallen Stadtfeld would die. Maybe not physically, but mentally and emotionally. She would return to being Kallen Kozuki, the same Kallen that wandered through life aimlessly after Naoto's death, fighting in countless battles hoping to die. But that wouldn't happen, not so long as she had the strength to prevent it.

Naoto sighed, "I know I can't tell you who to… have a relationship with. However, if it's possible, I'd like you to pick someone-"

"No way."

"Else…" the older Kozuki now stared at his sister awkwardly as she returned his confused gaze with a confident one, "Are you sure about this?"

"Without a shadow of a doubt."

Naoto sighed again, he was doing that a lot today, "Damn it… maybe I'll have to talk to Lelouch about this… at least he's reasonable"

As if reading his mind, Kallen said, "You better not try talking Lelouch into breaking up with me, because if you do," she knocked her fist against her head, "I'll make sure you regret it."

A bead of comical sweat travelled down the back of her brother's head, "Um… sure…"

"I'm serious, you know!"

"Yeah, I'm sure you are." Naoto stood up, "Don't worry, I won't be interfering in your… god this is still weird to say, relationship, with Lelouch. But just know, I want what's best for you, and let it be known, while I don't like you dating him, I will… try to support you. I just want what's best for you, y'know?"

"I know you do." Kallen gave off a genuine smile, "After all, I can't stop you from being an overprotective big brother."

"Damn right," he ruffled his sister's hair, "Though, you've got one thing wrong; I'm not overprotective."

"You really are."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"That's enough," Ms. Kozuki's gentle voice rang from the door frame, immediately getting her kid's attention, "Your shouting match scared Nunally, then Lelouch came rushing into the kitchen, so she asked me to check up on you two. Though, from the way things look… you two seemed to have resolved the problem yourselves."

"H-hello, mom," Naoto responded awkwardly. His mother tilted her head slightly, "T-that outfit looks good on you. It's certainly an improvement from your maid outfit."

Ms. Kozuki was wearing a black puffy vest with a long red undershirt, alongside dark blue jeans, "Thank you. Nunally insisted I wear something more… casual when spending time with her and Sayoko. Anyway, shall we go back to the kitchen?"

"No, not yet." Kallen said, seizing the opportunity, "Naoto wanted to talk with you."

"I didn't say that!"

"Oh c'mon! You're so awkward around her."

"You don't understand…" Naoto took in a deep breath, "Could you leave us for a bit?" he asked his sister, "I'd like to talk with mom, alone."

Reluctantly, the red head agreed, as she thought it'd be better for her to be there in person. But, if her brother thought otherwise, then that's what she'd do. After Kallen left, Naoto began, "I'm sorry."

This confused Ms. Kozuki, "For what?"

"For getting Kallen caught up in my… activities…"

"Ah… so that's what this is about." his mother took a seat at Lelouch's desk, calmly looking outside in the process, "That's always been on my mind, with how distant Kallen was getting from me a few months ago, adding on the fact that she was coming home later and later than usual. It scared me." a bird perched on the windowsill, its chest rose and fell as its little heart beat fast, "If you died, it would've crushed my heart, but most of all, it would've killed Kallen. She really cares for you, you know that, right?"

"I know… that's why I was trying to push her away, but it only ended up bringing her closer," he watched as the bird took off, flying toward the moon, which was in its last quarter.

"At least she has Lelouch." those words were something Naoto didn't see his mother saying in a thousand years, "What? Did you really think I wouldn't notice? They might not've told anyone, but even I can tell when my daughters in love."

"They haven't told anyone?"

"Nunally suspects it's because Lelouch doesn't want Milly teasing them for it."

"So… you support them?"

"Of course I do. Have you seen how Kallen's been acting lately? She's been attending school, smiling more, and even has plenty of friends now. I'm sure it's not all attributed to Lelouch being in her life, but I bet he's played some role in it." Ms. Kozuki watched as a second bird joined the first in its flight.

"Do you really think so?"

"I know so." his mother replied without skipping a beat, "It might come as a shock to you, but I know quite the bit about the boy as Nunally just can't seem to stop talking about him at times. It almost reminds me of when Kallen was in elementary school, constantly telling you about her day nonstop. You two were inseparable."

Now, Naoto was blushing out of embarrassment, "P-please don't remind me…"

She chuckled, "I know you might not approve of him at first, but give him a chance. Lelouch isn't a bad person, I've seen it with my own two eyes."

"Oh boy, you don't even know." of course, the resistance leader kept his thoughts to himself, after all, he didn't know how his mom would react to finding out Lelouch is a part of the resistance. "So… do you forgive me?"

"Forgive you for what? You haven't done anything."

"Aren't you mad? About Kallen joining my-"

"Stop." she put her hand out, "If it's her choice to join you in that endeavor, then so be it. However, I have faith that her love for Lelouch will stop herself from going too far."

"Honestly, I think it's her love for Lelouch that's pushing her that far…" Naoto shook his head internally, before saying, "I hope so… I really do."

"Good. Then, if that's out of the way, shall we return to the kitchen? I wouldn't want to worry Nunally"

The two Kozuki's left Lelouch's room, making their way back to the dining table, where Sayoko was placing plates of food in front of each seat, "Ah, it looks like you're back." Kallen greeted her family members while placing a paper crane on the table.

The red head, as always, was seated next to Nunally, it took some convincing, but she managed to make it her permanent spot after negotiating with Lelouch. However, to her left, the boy in question was reading a book calmly, "Dinner's almost ready." he said while putting it on his lap.

"R-right…" Naoto took the remaining seat, which was the one directly across from Nunally, who was at the head of the table, meanwhile, Sayoko sat to the right of Nunally, and Ms. Kozuki sat directly across from Lelouch.

"Can we turn on the TV?" the Princess asked the Japanese maid.

"Of course." she walked over to the small box TV, and turned it on. It immediately opened up to the news, which was announcing the death of Clovis La Britannia.

"What… Clovis is dead?" Nunally muttered with a saddened expression.

Meanwhile, Lelouch hardly reacted to the news, while Naoto gave him a side-eye, "Did you have something to do with this?"

Of course, the Prince couldn't read minds, so he didn't answer the Kozuki, instead, he was engrossed in his own thoughts, "So far… I've got a pretty good idea of what my Geass is capable of, though, maybe I should ask Kallen for more information regarding the power. Even if it's just a little bit, any information is useful. Though…" he glanced at the red head as she comforted his sister, "Should I tell her about my Geass? What a stupid question. Of course, I should. I know I can trust her with such information, I just have to find the right moment to tell her, that's all." he intended to tell her earlier while writing in his notebook, however, he instinctively decided to keep the information close to his chest. It's a bad habit that he was learning to kick, but it would take time.

"And we have reports coming in that his murderer's been apprehended." the news anchor announced.

"Oh no…" Kallen's eyes were immediately drawn to the screen.

"It's an Honorary Britannian known as Suzaku Kururugi, son of the former Eleven Prime Minister, Genbu Kururugi, who killed himself during Britannia's invasion of Area 11."

"Damn it! We should've taken credit for that!" Tamaki complained as he sat in Ohgi's new apartment with Naomi, and Kento.

"And then what? Be arrested the second we do?" Kento responded, "Or maybe we'll get killed instead."

Ohgi stared at the two pictures of Minami and Nagata he had off to the side, placed in front of them, were two cold unopened beer cans. "Even with Naoto's plan… we still lost two people. I know losses are to be expected, but it still hurts."

"Are they going to kill Suzaku?" the Princess muttered as Lelouch stood up from his seat, walking over to place a hand on his sisters.

"Don't worry. I'm sure it's just one big misunderstanding. Suzaku would never do such a thing."

"Whoa… this is such a strange contrast to how he acts while around the resistant base…" Naoto took note of the Prince's actions.

"Who's Suzaku?" Kallen asked, feining ignorance.

"Oh, he's just an old friend of ours." Nunally responded, "We knew him when we were kids… but got separated during the war."

"That must've been very sad." Ms. Kozuki joined in.

The Princess nodded, "Lelouch, isn't there anything we can do? Maybe Milly could put in a word for him?"

"No! We can't save him!" Kallen's thoughts were screaming in her head, but she knew, there was no way she could convince Lelouch to do otherwise, after all, she didn't have a good reason for him to abandon his best friend.

"I doubt she'd be able to do anything." the Prince responded while rubbing his sister's hand, "I'm sure they'll find out he's innocent in the court trial."

"You think so?"

"Yep." he lied, "I know so."

One day ago.

Kewell, Jeremiah, and Bartley each sat on a chair in the Viceroy's office, "So… what do we do? We can't just release Clovis' death to the public like this." the Britannian General stated.

"Yes. We must find someone to take the blame." Kewell suggested.

"And who do you think we should choose for that role?" Jeremiah asked.

"That's easy!" Sorosei dug into a briefcase, and threw down a massive list of Honorary Britannian's, "Let's just choose one of them to take the blame."

"What an excellent idea!" Bartley immediately jumped on the idea, "Though, it can't just be any random number. After all, it's because of their failure that we lost Prince Clovis and the poison gas. So… let's pick one that'll help in getting rid of the Honorary Britannians as a whole"

"Then I think I have the perfect selection," Kewell grabbed the report of Suzaku Kururugi, "This one was the son of the former Prime Minister of Area 11. If we can convict him of killing Prince Clovis, then the rest of the Eleven's will fall with him."

"Amazing! It's almost like you've been planning this."

"Indeed I have," he gave Jeremiah a side-glance, "As you know, these filthy monkeys have been a pain in our ass for the past few years, so, I was thinking it was high time we got rid of them. After all, it seems as though Lord Gottwald has grown a soft spot for them as of late. Helping with the evacuation and all."

"I was simply following the orders of my Lord, that's all." the Margrave responded honestly.

"I'm sure you were," Kewell rolled his eyes, "You and your loyalty. In the end, it seems you failed to protect your Lord after all."

"I hope you're not saying that to the new Viceroy of Area 11." oddly enough, Bartley had resigned the position, opting to return to the homeland in a few days with Prince Clovis' body. Of course, since the General would be leaving, responsibility of the Viceroyalty would then be given to the next highest authority: the Margrave, Jeremiah Gottwald.

"It's only temporary. I just hope the replacement for Clovis sees your failures, and appoints me as the new Margrave AND leader of the Purists."

"Then how about this. I'll put you in charge of escorting Private Kururugi's transport. That way, you'll be able to truly show off your merits."

"Why the hell would I do that!?"

"It's just a countermeasure in case terrorist try to retrieve their 'hero'."

Kewell leaned back in his seat, "Actually, that's an excellent idea…" he kicked his feet up, "Yeah, I can see it now…"

"Well, don't imagine it too much, as we'll still have to broadcast this to the public," he sighed while pulling out his phone, "I really wish I didn't have to come in contact with him ever again. But it seems that it's necessary now." he dialed the number of Deithard Reid, who almost immediately answered.

"Well, this is a pleasant surprise. What is it that you need, Margrave?"

December 21st. 6:00 PM

"I should be going home now." Naoto said as he stood up from the dinner table.

"Really? So soon? That's a shame, I was hoping we'd be able to play some board games later…" Nunally replied in a sad tone.

"I'm really sorry, but something came up," he motioned toward his phone, "Though, I would love to join you for dinner again in the future."

"Really? That'd be great."

"Kallen, mom, do you want me to walk you home?"

"No. We'll be staying the night here." his little sister responded while folding another origami.

This caused a red mark of irritation to appear on his forehead, "She said that so… casually." his eyes turned to Lelouch, who hid his face with a book. "You know what you've done, you bastard.

If anything bad happens to her in the future, I'll have your head."

"I'd really appreciate it if he wasn't staring at me like he wanted to take my head off," the Prince peeked at the annoyed older brother, "It would've been ideal if Kallen and I were able to break the news to him carefully. Unfortunately, he had to find out our relationship in such an… awkward moment."

"Well, I'll be going now. Goodnight." Sayoko then sent Naoto off, leaving Ms. Kozuki to wheel Nunally into the living room.

"Kallen, I need to speak with you." Lelouch told the red head.

With that, they left to his room, where he shut the door behind him, "Listen… I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" the red head asked calmly, secretly praying for it to not be about their relationship.

"It's about Shinjuku." the Prince began, "You see… while we were separated, I met this green-haired girl who came out of the capsule Nagata and Minami were stealing. Long story short, she was eventually killed, however, before she died, she gave me a Geass."

On the surface, Kallen was calm when receiving this information, but on the inside, she was screaming, "He actually told me! That means he won't be using it on me, right? Yeah, he trusts me, just like I trust him."

"You're taking this surprisingly well…"

This snapped the red head out of her thoughts, "No! I am surprised, it's just… it just feels nice."

"What?"

"To see you actually trusting me." Kallen responded while holding Lelouch's hand, "Actions speak louder than words. So, thank you for telling me."

This made Lelouch blush lightly, "Y-yeah, just don't get off-topic, alright." he looked off to the side, "Anyway, I was wondering… if you had any information regarding my Geass."

"In all honesty, I don't really know much about Lelouch's Geass. I know he needs direct eye contact, he can only use it once per person, and that's really it." Kallen put a hand on her chin, "What do you want to know?"

"Restrictions, general information, things like that."

"Well… I can't tell you much in terms of restrictions, since every Geass is different."

"Then, do you know why Clovis was interested in that girl?"

"Maybe she had a Geass, and he wanted to see what made it tick."

Lelouch nodded, "That's one of the possibilities I came up with, do you have any other ideas?"

"Sorry, but that's all I've got."

"Really? That's a shame, I was hoping you'd know more. If only that girl was still alive, then maybe she'd be able to tell us something useful." the Prince sighed as he heard his sister's voice call him in the background.

"Kallen! Lelouch! The boards all set up! You better stop smooching back there!"

"Ah! Who taught you that word!?" Lelouch exclaimed while running out of his room.

Kallen chuckled in response, however, when she was about to leave the room, she gave one final glance at her boyfriend's drawer, "Kallen, hurry up!"

"Uh, yeah, I'll be there in just a second." the red head shouted before running out of the room. Whatever Lelouch was hiding in there, she'll find out someday.

AN: Next chapter might be Suzaku's rescue, or it could just be build up. Hopefully it's the former.
