Just a normal boy, being thrown into an abnormal world, without knowing anything about it.

"Man, I could have been thrown into Fairy Tail or some other anime with the power of friendship…

But Noooo~ let's throw the poor boy into the Berserk of Hero stories"

"I use skill to grab ahold of luck!"

-Kinji, Hakari

[Heya Guys, I'm just here to comment that this is just a random story that came to mind. Since I

decided that the other story would be with a character that already exists in the universe, in this

one I created one that is thrown into it, and knows nothing about it.]

{ No frequent chapters, don't take all this too seriously. After all, I write as a hobby. ;P }

'Okay, Leonardo.'

Breathe…

'You just woke up in the middle of several abandoned train cars. Nothing else'

Breathe…

The boy walks cautiously, his eyes wavering to all sides,

His body is extremely tense, so tense that anyone who saw him would notice something wrong.

'With only the clothes on your body. No memories of any recent day, only months-old memories,

or childhood ones, like learning to ride a bike with your father. It's okay, everything will be fine…'

The boy nervously bites his tongue as he walks between the cars, occasionally jumping over a

metal beam and lamenting the blue flip-flops on his feet.

'Fuck you, past me! Why didn't you wear sneakers when you got kidnapped and brought here?'

The boy thought, sighing and grunting as he climbed what looked like the roof of a rusty wagon

on the straight path he had chosen.

'I was kidnapped and they didn't take any of my organs? What a waste-'

His thought and slight smirk on his face absolutely die,

As he notices the landscape on the horizon…

Now on top of the wagon, Leonardo sees the city illuminated by the setting sun, the tone of the

sunset bringing a melancholic vision to the place.

The teenager's legs lose their strength and he falls to his knees with a metallic sound echoing

through the place.

Leonardo likes to think of himself as a mature guy.

People can often count on him in moments of high stress, to keep calm under pressure, or just to

be rational in general…

But at that moment an expression of dread comes over his face, and deep down the desperation

begins to set in as he looks into the horizon.

"...Where is Christ the Redeemer?" The boy says quietly, making a joke amid stress, clenching his

fists.

It seems that Leonardo is very far from home…

He gets up, still a bit overwhelmed by the situation, and finally notices something even stranger…

"Is that a force field? On an oil rig of all things?" The boy's eyes widened, only now noticing the

gigantic oil rig not far from what appeared to be some docks in the mysterious city,

Approximately 5 minutes pass with the boy standing there, lightly admiring the view... And

waiting to wake up from this nightmare.

After that not obviously happening, he sighs and soldiers on,

Jumping to the dirt floor below, wincing from the impact on the flip flops on his feet, he proceeds

to go in the direction of those docks and consequently the city…

[An hour and a half later.]

"-Okay, Thanks for the help!"

Leonardo says, smiling and waving to the pair of girls who just gave him some information, they

smile back happily and go back to whispering to each other about the boy's appearance.

His face contorts as if he had sucked a lemon.

After walking for an hour he arrived at the city, now at night, and the vibe of this place is the most

haunting thing ever... Feels like home actually.

But whatever, Leonardo didn't spend half his life walking through ghettos in Rio to be mugged in

the United States.

Yes, apparently that's where he is.

The United States of America, thousands of kilometers from home... Scratch that.

Trillions of kilometers in reality, after all, back home there are no such things as Force Fields, or

Endbringers (whatever they might be), or a man dressed like in that old ass Tron movie.

Yup, while Leonardo was walking through the streets, practicing the art of minding his own

business, he saw a type of robocop passing by, from what the people around him said, his name

is Armsmaster?

'Cool name... But it's kind of simple?'

A slight smile comes to his face, deflecting his situation

with his thoughts.

'Well, It's not like I can complain about it anyway, my favorite hero is quite literally called BATman.'

He thinks while smirking slightly, putting his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants.

His smirk fades once again as he is reminded of his situation.

He is currently walking through the streets, which are still occupied by people since it is not late

at night yet.

His destination is the Brockton Bay City Library, where he hopes to find answers to most of his

questions.

'

Or at least I hope so. Maybe I can even sleep in there! They wouldn't kick out a poor homeless

teen, would they?'

Leonardo knew the answer to this question very well. After all, there's nowhere

in the world where homeless people can have an easy life.

[A few hours later. The second floor of the Brockton Bay Library]

The boy bites his nail as he looks at the screen of one of the old computers in the place.

On his lap, were three books that he picked up to read.

In the last few hours, he has been reading and collecting all possible information about where he

is.

And well... He's not in his own universe at the very least and at the moment he fully realized that,

He almost ended up having an existential crisis…

Actually, scratch that, he DID have an existential crisis,

No!

More like, 3 crises?

Anyway,

The point is,

Leonardo is very far from home.

And trapped in a completely grimdark world, full of the greatest horrors any person who likes

science fiction could ever imagine.

The boy sighs deeply, running his hand through his hair, messing it up in frustration.

Leonard turned off the computer and placed the books he had picked up on the table before

standing up. As he made his way to an old sofa in the library on the floor below, each step felt

heavier, as if the weight of pure sadness was being placed on his back.

He arrives, collapses onto the couch, sits down, and looks up while leaning his head back. "I

guess this is it for me, huh?" Logically, there are a few ways to proceed from here. However,

"logic" is a challenging concept for someone in complete despair.

Leonardo's eyes flick to the clock on the library wall,

5 minutes until midnight.

'I've been here too long.'

Then, footsteps can be heard to the boy's left, he straightens up on the couch and looks, seeing

the woman from the library front desk, slowly getting closer to him, she looks slightly wary of

him.

'This world literally has a woman who can punch someone into the stratosphere, I can't judge her

for being wary of me'

She comes closer when she notices that I'm paying attention to her,

"Hello Miss, can I help you?" I say, my voice slightly tired, and low, and not being in the mood to

pretend to be okay.

When I got there, I asked her a few questions and spoke briefly with her. She's a sweet lady

actually.

"Not quite. Do

you

need help with something?" She asks back, smiling worriedly.

I sigh,

I guess seeing a 16-year-old at this hour sulking in a library, covered in dirt, made some bells ring

in her head.

"...I guess I do need help. Could you please call the Protectorate for me? They are the only ones

who can help me, supernatural bullshit and all that." Hearing me say this with my tired resigned

face makes her believe me immediately.

The woman's eyes widen, and her face becomes serious, she nods to me and steps aside,

probably to make a phone call.

I sigh and relax, then look at the clock on the wall once again.

Exactly midnight.

And then…

A loud "PING" sound resonates for me.

In the middle of the air in front of me...

A

screen

appears.

[It's time for your monthly POWER ROLL!]

The boy's face contorts in confusion and intrigue,

"Mas que caralhos?" He mutters in his native language, and the black screen with white letters

changes again.

[ROLL the D20 for your luck of the month!]

The message appears with a big 20-sided dice on the screen…

Leonardo's mouth hangs slightly open and he blinks slowly, completely confused.

And then, the boy does what anyone would do...

He immediately clicks on the dice on the screen.

The dice shakes slightly, then jumps, turns, and spins in all directions, and then lands on

Leonardo's roll.

18…

[LUCKY ROLL!]

The screen releases confetti everywhere that then disappears into thin air, and even with the

desperate situation, the boy can't help but be happy, and smiling.

The screen changes once again,

[Congratulations! A lucky roll means a total of 2 powers to be randomly rolled!]

The boy's eyes widen, and as he begins to understand what is happening, reality begins to set in.

The screen changes again, and 3 slots appear.

Said slots start spinning uncontrollably until they all stop at the same time.

The boy sees the 2 names in the slots.

In the background, he starts to hear voices coming from the other side of the library, where the

entrance is.

'I guess this is my life now, right? Just a bunch of random bullshit'

170

[Approximately half an hour later. Protectorate Headquarters]

Leonardo sighs lightly,

And he looks around, seeing the place where he finds himself in,

A Cozy room, with a large window, lets in plenty of natural light.

In the room, there is a comfortable single bed against one wall, accompanied by a small closet

and a reading lamp. A wardrobe or closet is available for clothes and belongings, and a desk with

a chair is positioned by the window, providing a designated area for work or study. At the far end

of the room, there is a door that leads to a modestly sized, single-occupancy bathroom.

'Overall... This is better than some places I've lived in.'

The boy thinks and leans back into his bed

for the night.

He has just been left in the room, after a brief medical evaluation, to rest and sleep.

'I honestly didn't expect the agents- That's what they call themselves, right? to be so chill with me.

Maybe the Miss at the library told them I wasn't a danger or something?'

The boy sighs once more, now breathing deeper and opening and closing his eyes, lying on the

bed.

He looks up, his vision on the ceiling, or it should be if it weren't for the screen still in his view,

'So these are my powers Huh?'

The boy looks on, his mind still not being able to realistically

comprehend 100% of what happened to him.

'Technically they're not mine yet? After all, the screen is asking me to accept them.'

[POWERS! Your rolls for powers are done! You've rolled two Tier 1 powers, better luck next

time.]

Reading the message again makes Leonardo roll his eyes,

Does this screen have a mind of its own? Or is it just intrinsically cheeky?

More than that...

From what I read in the library, powers can be a multitude of things. Could it be that when I came

to this new world, I was gifted with this Screen? Is my power, not the things I got, but actually the

whole lottery thing?

Some kind of Power Lottery?

And it said it was the "Luck of the Month" right?

My luck of the month for how many rolls I would probably have?

Leonardo just leaves the brainstorming aside and scrolls down the screen and goes to the two

slots, with two powers.

The first being,

Understanding [Thinker] 1 SP

Your brain has reached new heights, allowing you to intuitively understand and comprehend

everything much faster. What used to take you weeks now takes you hours or even minutes.

Your neuroplasticity is through the roof.

{Attune?}

'Thinker huh... I saw that word in that huge list of power rankings, I can roughly imagine what it

entails. And the power itself is...'

Leonardo smiled slightly reading the description of the power, as it is incredibly good for...

anything really.

Is it kind of vague? Yes.

Does he care? Nah.

And then the boy proceeds to click on "Attune"

The description disappears, and for a few seconds, nothing happens.

And then the headache comes,

"FUCK-"

The boy forces the scream in his throat to die and grips tightly the pillow beside him.

Little by little the headache, which was sudden and like a stab in the brain, disappeared.

Leonardo sits on the bed and takes a deep breath, a little breathless,

'Damn- I should have thought better about that, changes in the brain would obviously be

something complicated and delicate.'

The boy huffs lightly and sighs.

Leonardo blinks slightly...

The changes are clear, but at the same time subtle.

'My mind feels so clear. It's like I can organize everything much easier in my head. Everything I

learned today is easier to think about. This is amazing... but still very depressing, now I can think

even better about my dreading situation'

A soft frown comes to the boy's face as he gets up and

heads towards the bathroom.

He goes to the sink and turns on the tap, turning on and running water over his face, breathing

deeper, looking in the mirror seeing his own face, his sullen tired face.

The boy frowns at his own thoughts,

'Maybe I'm just being a crybaby? Yeah, I should try to look on the bright side, and complain less

maybe?'

The boy looks deep into his green eyes in the mirror and tightens his grip on the sink he's

leaning on.

In the corner of his eye, another black screen of his power floated.

His other power, the weirdest of the two.

(Blaster/Thinker) Fistful of Dollars

Cost: 7 SP

When you throw a coin into the air, it can reflect a ranged attack towards an enemy of your

choice, or the nearest one if you can't make your mind up.

This can work on most ranged attacks. If someone shoots a coin you flipped into the air, the

bullet is gonna ricochet back towards the shooter. If someone fires a laser at it, then the laser

will ricochet. If a constant beam is attacking the coin, it will still be able to ricochet it for as long

as it is in the way, but it will need another coin to be able to send it back to the attacker,

otherwise, it will just ricochet the beam into the sky.

This power also comes with a Thinker's ability to calculate the best position and area to throw a

coin for any attack.

You can also hit the coin, sending it into the area you were hitting with 500% of the kinetic

energy you hit it with. This allows the coin to bounce once before it loses its power. It will

bounce off any surface for as long as it has powers.

If you have multiple coins in the air, the attack that hits one of the coins will ricochet toward the

other coin, making the attack 25% stronger for every coin it hits.

The coin can be in the air forever, as long as it is airborne, not touching the ground, and not

affected by a supernatural force.

{Attune?}

He stops looking at the mirror, and now looks at the screen intensely, crossing his arms and

arching his eyebrows slightly.

'...Now that I stop to think about it... I remember this from somewhere.'

After a few seconds, old memories-

Technically from the future? How does that kind of thing even work?!?

-Resurface, a game that Leonardo saw a video about on YouTube... A very incorrect summary of

Ultrakill.

An involuntary chuckle comes to the young man as he shakes his head at the memory.

'Okay, this probably doesn't involve my brain or any weird changes... And it's not like I have a coin

at the moment.'

The boy thinks and goes back to washing his face, then wiping the towel over his

face.

He leaves the bathroom and goes to the bed again, then picks up his glasses from the furniture

next to the bed and starts fidgeting with it in his hand while he reads the description of the power

better.

'Huh, This is a very interesting power. It's basically a good defense and attack... And I can

probably use it with various types of equipment or other powers… If I don't die before that, at

least.'

A frown again comes to Leonardo's face, who sighs and accepts the power.

Waiting a few seconds to see if something would happen.

Seconds pass and nothing... Just a random thought about how amazing it would be to have

some coins in hand.

A slight smirk appears on the boy's face.

Leonardo shrugs and leaves his glasses on the dresser again, then takes off his shirt and turns

off the lamp in the room.

'Whatever, better stop nerding out for now, I'll deal with it tomorrow.'

[Next day, Still at the HQ. Director Piggot office.]

Piggot's office was a study in efficiency.

A sleek, wooden desk dominated the room, its surface cluttered only by a stack of neatly

organized files and a single, minimalist computer.

Behind her desk, to the side of the room, hung a large world map, dotted with pins marking

various PRT containment zones.

The room was devoid of any personal touches, save for a small, framed photograph of a younger,

smiling Piggot standing beside a group of uniformed officers.

At the moment, the older woman is sitting in her chair, reading a series of files that were sent in

their complete form earlier.

Last night, a request for help was sent to the PRT, and from what the dispatched team was told,

the case seemed to be a new trigger.

But upon further analysis, it is severely more complicated than that.

The woman had a frown on her face, and internally she couldn't help but curse lightly... And even

feel sorry.

'Leonardo Dias Adelardo, Born in 2007 in Rio de Janeiro Brazil… 16 years old. Now a confirmed

case of "world change", and according to our thinkers, it is a new world, not Earth-Aleph.'

Piggot's frown deepens slightly,

'Memories seem to have clearly been tampered with, removing entire months of knowledge,

along with that... A Trump power was granted to the boy.'

The woman finishes reading the file once more, at the same time thinking about this whole

situation.

'According to Velocity, the boy is "calm and mature for his age. Although he seems to be trying

too hard to hide his sadness", the Brockton speedster tends to be a good character analyst for

these situations. So his judgment has merit...'

Piggot finishes reading the file and sighs deeply.

Her gaze goes to the photo on her desk,

For a second, she travels away from there with her mind... Until she returns to reality.

'This whole thing smells like some parahuman- No, a Villain testing some kind of power or

device. Kidnapping a kid, changing his memories, and giving him power, for what? Fun? It could

be, some of them tend to be vile like that.'

The director looks at the file again, now at the last part of it, a conversation about the boy's

future, or what he wanted to have had for his future,

He says that after certain events in his life, he wanted to either become a Biochemist or join the

special ops of his state, BOPE, as they are called.

He went on to comment that these dreams are now dead, especially with his peculiar situation,

Now there is only one path for him.

'Sense of Justice? Or Duty? I don't know, but it seems that this boy, who hasn't been corrupted by

this horrible world of ours, seems to understand the responsibility that has been thrown and

forced upon him... Maybe I'll come to like this one.'

A grim smile comes to Piggot's face, who proceeds to send messages to the current hero taking

care of the Wards,

Perhaps they have a recruit on their hands.

[January 4th. Leonardo's Room.]

Now, on a rainy Tuesday, Leonardo is in his room.

Sitting at the study table in the room,

He adjusts the glasses on his face and continues reading about the current topic.

Power Ratings and Power Classification.

Focusing on the latter subject in fact, since Leonardo found it more urgent to know such terms

as "Thinker" or "Blaster"

'"Power classifications are also not intended to rate the "power levels", usefulness, or raw

strength of an ability; only measuring the threat the power poses to PRT personnel and

civilians"...

I highly doubt that this is the case, a world that is so advanced in the matter of living

in a parahuman society is bound to end up messing some shit up'

The boy thinks, chuckling

lightly,

As he reads, Leonardo juggles from one hand to the other a five-cent coin, given to him by the

PRT, after the boy asked for one,

He continues reading and goes through a few more pages that he had already read previously,

wanting to think about something specific.

'The Thinkers…'

Thinkers might use their abilities to gather or receive information, such as various types of

clairvoyants including post-cogs, pre-cogs, peri-cogs, and more. Alternatively, they can process

the world around them in a specific way.

'And according to the classification, I would technically be a Combat, Proficiency, and Zone

Thinker? But maybe also a Sense one'

The light brown-haired boy was still focused on the information on the laptop given to him by the

HQ staff.

He didn't notice when his hands suddenly stopped juggling the coin and flicked the object quickly

behind him toward the bedroom door.

Half a second later he realizes what he did and looks back, leaning his arm on the chair.

The coin remains in the air floating and rotating slightly on its axis,

'Eita porra-'

The thought comes to him as he looks at the coin, his brain immediately activating

the most incredible part of his power in his opinion.

Practically in an instant, paths and trajectories for the coin appear in Leonardo's mind, with subtle

white lines,

And then,

"Knock Knock!"

Leonardo blinks, coming out of his slight Blaster/Thinker moment of focus,

"Coming!"

The boy gets up and quickly grabs a long-sleeved shirt that was on his bed, and quickly puts it on,

He goes to the door, catches the coin while it is still in the air, and greets the person who...

…Who said Knock Knock.

Instead of just knocking on the door.

Leonardo opens the door and immediately gets a slight jumpscare seeing two heroes at his door.

The first wears red body armor with a visor covering the upper half of his face, the hero is

Assault.

The other, a heroine, wears a skintight, white, and dark gray costume with circuit-like cobalt blue

lines on it, that's Battery.

The boy immediately stands straighter and looks at the two of them, snapping out of his slight

surprise,

"Hey, Leo boy." Assault says with a smile on his face, earning a sigh from Battery.

Leonardo gives space for the two to enter so they don't stay in the hallway,

"H-hey Assault, Battery, do you need me for something?" The boy says seeing the woman just

standing in the middle of the room and the hero sitting in Leonardo's chair, or Leo as the hero

began to call him.

The heroine smiled gently at the boy,

"Yes Leonardo, we sent you a message earlier and you didn't respond."

The boy's eyes widen and he goes to his new cell phone, courtesy of the PRT, and sees that he

truly was sent messages.

"O-oh... Sorry, I probably got into some kind of Thinker Tunnel Vision" The boy says looking at the

four teens, genuinely embarrassed,

Before Battery could dismiss the boy's concerns, Assault speaks first.

"Woah, you're already reading about Power Classifications kid? I thought you'd spend more time

reading about the Endbringers." The hero says, looking at the file that is open on the laptop,

where in addition to various information, there are also some notes from the boy himself.

Leo smiles when he hears the hero say this and approaches the table next to Battery who just

watches silently.

"Actually, I've already finished that part, I'm reading it again. With my Thinker power, this kind of

thing is much easier, I'm honestly loving reading about these subjects, they're more fun than

school subjects for sure."

The boy says smiling and moving the mouse and showing the various files he has already read,

The two capes look at each other quickly,

"I'm glad you're having fun then, kid. Because we already have a verdict on yesterday's

conversation." The hero says, pulling the boy's attention again.

He looks at the two of them and nods, backing up a bit and sitting on the edge of his bed.

Yesterday and the day before that, he did a series of tests and answered many questions, all so

that the protectorate could decide what they could offer him…

With everything he has read, Leonardo already knows that joining the PRT and the Protectorate is

the best path to take, and that's what they've already proposed to him.

Assault looks at Battery who starts to speak,

"The Protectorate has decided that the rest of the month for you will be here at the HQ for

acclimatization and research. It was decided that until we can verify the "lottery" factor as you

described us, You will just learn as much as possible about our world, in addition to power

training that will be released to you starting today."

The heroine lets the information sink in, getting a nod from the boy,

"You also don't have to worry about new personal documents and things like that, along with

education at a local school. All of that will be taken care of by the PRT."

Leonardo nods again with a slight frown on his face, a more childish part of his mind not liking

the idea of having to go to school in a place alien to him.

"Okay, thanks again." The boy says, smiling at both heroes.

From what the boy has noticed, Battery and Assault, along with another hero, Velocity, will be his

"mentors".

The people who will help him adapt.

Both parahumans smile at him and nod, Assault then gets up from the chair.

"Well, I think that's it for today. Tomorrow we'll send you your little routine for the next month. But

as we said, you can go to the training gyms today if you want, but you'll have to let me or Puppy

here know." The man says smiling and gesturing to Battery,

The use of Assault's nickname for Battery makes Leo involuntarily chuckle.

"Thanks... I think I'll want to test my power seriously. Uh, maybe around seven o'clock?" The boy

says looking at the time on his laptop, seeing that it is already two in the afternoon.

The two heroes get up and Assault gives him a thumbs up in confirmation.

They both say goodbye to the boy and proceed to leave the room, and Leo closes the door.

The boy just goes back to bed and sits on it again.

Spending a few seconds there, standing there thinking. Then looking at his own hands for a few

seconds,

"I guess that's a positive side, isn't it? I now have something to do, a commitment. I'm technically

part of the Protectorate now." The boy proceeds to take the coin out of his pocket, returning to

juggle it, with enviable dexterity. "My future duty now is to save lives, prevent lives from being

lost, and overall survive."

The coin is thrown up and Leo's power is activated, making the object stop in the air.

Waiting for the moment to be used.

The boy merely grabs the coin from the air again, without thinking about anything he just gets up

and goes back to his desk, going to continue his studies.

[January 8th. Brockton Bay PRT ENE Headquarters]

A few days later, this time in the city, at the PRT's own HQ where the Wards stay.

In the Wards' own part of the building, with their resting place and bedrooms. Not to mention the

console room, where the Wards' services are also used.

4 of the 6 Wards are in the main room of their area, at the request of the Armsmaster who, from

what they were told, will bring a future member of theirs to meet them and spend some time with

them.

Clockblocker tells what he learned about the situation to the rest of the Wards present,

"-Which means that he is not from Aleph, he is from another parallel world, crazy it is not?" The

boy says his expression is a mix of intrigue and confusion.

Aegis nods, his face frowning lightly,

"Yeah, and that alone explains why he's only joining us next month... The dude literally knows

nothing about our world." The boy says and scratches the back of his neck, feeling bad for the

boy.

"Assault told you something else Dennis?" Vista asks, she can't help but show curiosity

The boy shakes his head, and Gallant, who had been quiet just listening until now and is drinking

tea he had prepared a short time ago, finally says something.

"So, have you decided whether you want to unmask today? It's a little early for that, but I don't

care, to be quite honest." The blond says looking at his companions smiling.

The other 3 just shrug and Vista speaks.

"Honestly, he's practically already part of the PRT, right? I don't think there would be a problem."

And then a siren sounds in the place.

And the timer in the place starts to count down.

The Wards stand up and put on their masks, waiting for the large entrance door to open.

The door opens and... A lone boy walks in.

The wards see a boy no taller than 5'6, with short, messy auburn hair. Using a standard PRT

mask. He is wearing a basic black long-sleeved shirt, gray sports pants, and Nike running shoes.

The lack of Armsmaster is quite obvious and makes all the Wards stare at the boy who enters

alone looking a little embarrassed...

At least on the outside, on the inside Gallant could see the slight irritation, sadness, and

excitement mixed.

"...Robocop had something last minute to do and asked me to go in alone. So uhh- Hi I guess?"

The boy says and chuckles lightly causing Clockblocker to do the same and bringing smirks to

the faces of the rest of the Wards.

Aegis is the first to approach as the entrance door closes.

"Well, don't worry, we won't leave you alone. It's a pleasure, I'm Aegis, the team leader, that's Vista,

Clockblocker and the last one is Gallant."

The boy just smiled at them, who looked at him expectantly.

"So we are using the superhero names? Okay, then, for now, I don't have anything specific... But

you can call me Fortunato I guess, for personal reasons."

The boy says while shrugging his shoulders and approaching everyone to make sure to greet

them all with a handshake or high five.

The young heroes begin to talk and gossip excitedly,

And in the Wards' minds, they could guess that the boy would fit right in…

[January 14th, PRT HQ. Power Training area.]

The past few days have been ironically uneventful for the future Ward of Brockton Bay.

His schedule is flexible, since he is not yet released to go to school, only starting next month at

Arcadia school, the school where all but one of the Wards attend.

The subject of the last few days for Leo's intensive study?

The capes of Brockton Bay.

Heroes, villains, neutrals (rogues)

And this is probably the most interesting thing the boy has been studying lately.

The one he is most excited about doing, perhaps because it reminds him of the times he has

spent dismantling his comic book characters and their iterations, be it as a kid or even in the

earliest parts of his adolescence.

In addition to these adjacent studies and school subjects (which he is being forced to study)

Another very interesting part of the last few days is... Testing his powers, in EVERY possible way.

As Leo understood more about his power he came to realize how interesting it is.

"Okay, Guys! We can begin!"

Leo dressed in simple gym clothes given to him by the PRT, with the addition of one pair of black

and red protective gloves.

He stands in an empty part of the Blaster Training hall.

Further ahead of him approximately 10 meters- I mean, 30 or so feet, two PRT agents who are

currently assisting him.

Both have rifles in their hands, loaded with rubber ammunition, and protective clothing, for any

accident that may happen.

Leo's eyes are focused on both of them, his power working at a million-per-hour pace,

Even before both agents do anything.

Just by looking at the weapons pointed at him, his power is already signaling him, routes are

being formed, his brain is augmented by "Understanding", already knowing the best actions to

take to do what he wants to do,

The agent on the left pulls the trigger at the same time that Leo starts tossing the coin in his left

hand up into the air, but it is too late.

BANG

The rubber bullet flies, while the coin rises after being thrown at Leo's chest height at an odd

angle of 45.

The coin spins in the air shining silver and then the bullet hits it, in the center of the small coin

The coin shines even brighter and immediately the bullet is reflected at equal speed, straight

back at the agent, hitting him square in the shoulder, right into one of the protective plates on his

suit, and making the man wince lightly and jerk to the left,

Leo's right hand is already moving, preparing the other coin,

BANG

The other agent shoots, and at the same time, Leo punches the previous coin still flying in front

of him in a jab motion.

With a peculiar gunshot sound, the coin shoots toward the rubber bullet, hitting it in the air and

changing its trajectory to the side of the boy,

Leo then tosses the coin from his right hand up with his thumb just a few inches into the air, then

in one fluid motion flicking the coin with his middle and ring finger,

The coin is thrown with much more force than a flick of a finger should do,

Its trajectory is flawless in Leo's green eyes, as he watches in near slow motion the silver coin

hitting the side of the rifle of the agent who was shot earlier,

The coin had enough force to knock the gun out of his hand,

It bounces changing trajectory and goes to the side of the other agent's gun,

Who also loses his gun and gets a slight fright.

Leo sighs deeply, smiling at the adrenaline his power gives him, and the agents recompose

themselves.

One of them gives a thumbs up which Leo returns with a smile on his face.

'I hope the Protectorate accepts my proposal to carry a revolver while in my costume. Only then

will I be able to feel like I'm really in Ultrakill.'

[January 19th, Central Mall]

An older man, in his 30s walks through the mall toward a random clothing store there,

looking around, looking for someone in particular,

Upon entering, he immediately sees a boy with auburn hair, looking at some printed t-shirts

further inside the store.

He approaches and touches the young man's shoulder, who turns around.

"Oh, hey Ethan. Did I take too long?" Leo says and looks at his wrist for his watch,

Ethan, as he is known in his off hours, smiles slightly and shakes his head.

"Nah Kiddo, you're fine. I just came to see how you were doing."

The boy rolls his eyes at Assault and continues looking at the shirts.

"You say that as if we haven't been here at the Mall many times." The boy says and chuckles, then

picks up a long-sleeved shirt with a white skull print,

'Huh, is this a Punisher shirt or just a white skull print?'

Ethan merely shrugs while smirking,

"You never know. I do have to be with you in case something happens... At least while Puppy isn't

here to take care of both of us"

The comment makes Leo snicker and nod.

They both continue talking calmly, unaware of the person watching them... being in a mini

intellectual battle with her power.

Outside the store, on one of the benches in the mall, a blonde girl in a purple sweatshirt and a

cap pretended to be on her cell phone.

In her mind,

Her power working at full steam,

'I already know that his power is some kind of trump bullshit, but how come that's not actually his

power? Did the PRT lie in his file?'

[The target has powers that are Exoteric, being an amalgamation of the concept of luck, The

Random is infinite and not even the strongest can predict it]

The girl's eyebrow twitches in annoyance,

A headache coming over her,

She stares at the boy of a similar age to her inside the store.

Getting more intel on the guy isn't her biggest concern at the moment, since her boss said that

the priority of this little mission is low in the end... But goddamnit, it hurts her pride not to get

anything beneficial.

She practically glares at her target, before resigning herself and getting up and leaving, without

ever being noticed.

'In the end, the only interesting part about him is the fact that he appeared

here in the Bay out of nowhere.'

The girl thinks and disappears into the crowd of the mall.

Back at the store, the boy takes the two shirts he wanted to buy and pays for them,

Both of them then leave from there,

Half an hour later, the two walk through the mall parking lot, heading to Ethan's car, and preparing

to head to the PRT HQ.

From there a car will pick Leo up to return to the Protectorate HQ.

The two walk side by side with the boy commenting on future costumes,

"Then Armsmaster said that maybe by next month he will decide if he will actually build it for me."

The boy says smiling while gesturing with his hands lightly,

Ethan smiled at him,

"You're too hopeful that the PRT will let you use a revolver, even though you say it's the best way

to use your power."

"I hope I managed to pique Armsmaster's interest with my wild ideas, considering he's a Tinker. It

seems like the Wards' PR team liked my suggestions, particularly the ones about the gauntlet.

Well, that's what it seemed like to me, but I usually don't understand much of what they say."

The boy says chuckling remembering his visit to the Public Relations sector of the PRT, where he

discussed ideas about his uniform, names, and even backstories for his debut with the Wards.

They both arrive at Ethan's car and get in the hero in his civilian self, starts the car and starts

driving.

On the road, Leo starts playing with his cell phone, passing the time, until Ethan talks to him.

"Hey, Leo... How are okay?"

The question makes the boy look at Ethan in surprise.

"...In what way?"

The man chuckles,

"In every way, how has the experience been over the past few weeks? Is therapy going well?"

The boy thinks for a bit and looks forward to the road with a frown coming to his expression.

"I-i guess… I'm doing better. I don't think about back home as much anymore, I'm getting used to

things and everyone has been helping me a lot, the therapist is really nice too." The boy says and

his lips are in a straight line, not sad but not happy either, simply resigned to the situation.

The hero nods solemnly and then looks at the boy out of the corner of his eye. Smiling honestly.

"You're a good boy, Leo, mature and very responsible from what I've seen so far. I'm sure that if

you keep it up, everything will work out for you."

They both remain silent for a while until Leonardo breaks the silence with a quiet "Thank you."

Over the past few weeks, Leo has grown quite attached to both Ethan and Samantha Winters,

Assault and Battery,

A Happily Married hero power couple.

They both hit off with Leo quickly, faster than the other cape that is helping him, which is

ironically Velocity.

From what little the boy got to know about both of them, Battery had already become an example

of a great professional for him, and Assault, strangely, an example of a great person.

[January 27th. PRT HQ, PR, and Tailoring Team sector]

Leo watches as the costume makers' team put the finishing touches on what will become his

costume.

Further to the boy's left is Armsmaster, who came to oversee the process, he has personal

touches in his costume after all, and didn't want to leave everything to the PR and "Special

Tailors" officials

'I'm pretty sure two of these "Special Tailors" are some kind of Tinkers. They work too efficiently

not to be.'

The boy thinks, watching from afar two of the tailors fiddling with his future black

chest-plate,

The boy then turns to his senior and technically his boss.

"Armsmaster, can you answer a question for me?"

The man in his power armor, with his arms crossed, looks at the boy, his expression only visible

on half of his face,

Said expression in a perpetual serious deadpan,

"If the question is once again about using a firearm while in costume, unfortunately, I won't

answer it"

The man says and continues to stare at the boy sitting next to him.

Leo only winces slightly, unfortunately his request to have a weapon was denied, but replaced by

other equipment.

"No, it's not that. It's more about something I've been reading, about powers and the Endbringers."

The boy says, now receiving the hero's full attention, who turns completely to him.

"Hm, I can answer that, ask away."

The boy nods and starts talking,

"Well, the Protectorate gave me a very broad license of what I can read in the PRT files and

similar, due to my Thinker power, and I noticed a pattern of powers in general, more especially

regarding the powers that often have a "one-touch-kill" effect, you could say."

The man in his blue power armor nods,

"Correct, several parahumans throughout our history had powers that were practically

indefensible, A good example was Grey Boy, a former member of the Slaughterhouse Nine"

The boy frowns at the mere thought of the group of mass murderers

The Slaughterhouse Nine, often simply called the Nine, is a rotating group of nine supervillains

who roamed North America.

Known for decimating entire small towns and then disappearing into thin air.

'

...The more I read about them, the more I find everything about them to be strange. They're not

strong enough to survive for as long as they have, especially with heroes like Alexandria and

Eidolon around. Maybe one of the Nine can conceal them? Do they have Stranger powers?'

"Yes, I've already read about it. Continuing with my question, do we even have an idea of why

such "Ultimate" powers... don't work onEndbringers?"

The question makes Armsmaster freeze for a second, but beneath his visor, the man can be seen

staring at the boy without blinking, who continues to speak.

"For example, in the last battle against the Behemoth, it was touched by a foreign cape, with the

power to manipulate the matter of everything he touched with 5 fingers, the behemoth ignored

him and without any problem disintegrated the cape… How?"

The boy stood there, arms crossed, a look of confusion on his face. Over the past few weeks, his

intense focus on studies had yielded a wealth of knowledge.

Leonardo now felt assured that his comprehension of Parahumans far surpassed that of the

average person uninvolved in the world of capes. Despite this, he came to realize that his abilities

did not bestow superior intellect, nor did they enable him to grasp insurmountable or advanced

concepts through mere studying.

After a few seconds, Armsmaster gets his attention, talking to Leo.

"Many capes tend to come to the simple conclusion that Endbringers are immortal, forces of

nature, the fact that you researched this and were curious enough to ask me about it says a lot

about you."

The man says and uncrosses his arms, leaving his position. Leo notices that one of the tailors is

calling him.

The hero turns to him before going to help the PR employees.

"I'll send you a series of files that you didn't have access to tonight. The kind that only

Protectorate thinkers have access to. Keep curious like that." The man says and goes to where he

was called,

Leaving a surprised Leonardo behind.

'Stay curious huh? I suppose that's good advice... Unless the people who have the answers to my

questions are at the top, the big bosses, if that ends up being the case then it's safe to say that

curiosity will end up getting me found dead in a bathtub.'

The boy thinks, smirking at his own dark

joke.

[January 31st, 20 minutes to midnight. Protectorate HQ, Quarantine Room]

At the great base of the Brockton Bay protectorate,

Inside one of the quarantine rooms, the friendliest of them, Leo waits for midnight for his power

to activate again, sitting on the couch while throwing a silver coin up into the air, which flicks in

the air more than it should, until it falls into his hand exactly where it was thrown from.

From a speaker hidden in the room, a voice resonates from a loudspeaker.

"Mr. Dias, It's exactly 20 minutes until midnight."

The voice of the local PRT director catches Leo's attention, who sends a thumbs up, having no

idea where the local camera is.

"Roger that, Boss."

A sigh can be heard on the speakers, along with Battery's voice. "You're spending too much time

with Assault, Leo, you can just call her Director you know?"

Leo just smiled at that, soon hearing a comment from Velocity who was also present,

"What's wrong with calling her Boss? Better than some nicknames I've heard about the Director."

The comment makes Leo almost drop his coin, giving a hearty laugh,

'Damn Velocity, I didn't expect that.'

A silence follows until Piggot speaks, in the most emotionless voice Leonardo has ever heard,

"Sometimes I wish I could just fire you all."

The minutes pass with the boy just silently thinking, distracting himself by fiddling with his coin.

'I wonder, does this lottery have a limit? Could I become Superman out of nowhere? Or am I just

being softly handicapped for now?'

The boy thinks, traveling in his own head imagining what he

could earn for the next month.

'By the way, does this power of mine even have a name? Usually, parahuman powers don't have

names, but mine can technically talk... Whatever, I'll keep calling it "Lottery.'

"5 minutes to midnight Mr. Dias"

Another thumbs up to signal to them that he is prepared.

The next few minutes are spent in mild excitement and anxiety.

Until a ping is heard by the boy again.

[It's time for your monthly POWER ROLL!]

[ROLL the D20 for your luck of the month!]

'Indeed it is.'

Once again just like a month ago, the same screen appears.

The same twenty-sided die appears to him.

"Guys, the data I mentioned has already appeared. It's time to start here, okay?" The boy says to

the Protectorate,

"Go on, Leo, we won't interrupt you unless you need help with something." Battery's voice was

gentle, making the boy smile.

He then touches the screen,

The die jumps and turns in the "air" until it stops...

16

A smirk appears on Leo's face,

"16 huh? It's enough."

[LUCKY ROLL!]

[Congratulations! A lucky roll means a total of 2 powers to be randomly rolled!]

The boy crosses his arms and stares at the screen intensely.

[POWERS! Your rolls for powers are done!]

Before Leo could think straight, the screen continued, something different this time.

[Attention! The first power rolled offers a bonus! Want to check it out?]

"Wait what?"

The boy looks at the screen confused but mentally says yes.

[CONGRATULATIONS ON THE SPECIAL TIER ROLL!]

Cursed Energy Manipulation (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Cost: 10 SP

This is a profound practice, that involves harnessing and controlling the primordial energy

known as cursed energy, which is intrinsically linked to the existence of curses—negative and

malevolent spirits that inflict harm and misfortune upon humans.

The process of manipulating this energy involves gathering it from the environment or within

oneself and then directing it toward a specific objective. This process necessitates a resolute

will, unwavering focus, and a deep understanding of the foundational principles that govern

cursed energy manipulation. By tapping into its reserves, you gain the ability to employ it for a

multitude of purposes, encompassing both offensive and defensive techniques. Which includes

exorcism, erecting protective barriers, augmenting your physical attributes to transcend the

boundaries of the natural world, and much more.

However, cursed energy manipulation is not without its risks. Improper handling or excessive

use of it can have detrimental effects on you, potentially leading to physical and mental

deterioration.

This power would imprint the foundations and intricacies of cursed energy manipulation in your

mind, you gain a comprehensive understanding of this energy and its practice. However, the

journey to mastery extends beyond the imparted knowledge. The responsibility for further

exploration and refinement rests solely upon you.

[This power grants the chance of rolling again to gain a random upgrade for completion of the

"CEM". For this, the user would be limiting the next roll, changing from a Power to a Perk, which

will also be random.]

Leonardo's eyes widened seeing the title of power, instantly recognizing the power.

Another smile comes to his face,

'That's really fucking good, I remember reading Jujutsu, the last chapter I read was maybe in the

middle of the battle between two of my favorite characters'

After shaking off the excitement about the power, Leo reads the addendum at the end of the

description,

Crossing his arms, and frowning slightly the boy deciphers what this means.

'The completeness of the power huh... I think I get it, basically, the power only gives me the

possibility to use CE, without giving me a cursed technique... Yeah, maybe it's better if I accept

the upgrade, it will just make me stronger, so I think it's a good deal.'

The boy leans back on the couch, and focuses on another aspect, this "Perk" thing.

'...I've played enough RPGs to know what a Perk is, who would have thought the Lottery would

have that.'

The boy thinks for a few more seconds and then.

'Okay Lottery, I accept the bonus. Roll the Upgrade please.'

The screen disappears, and a slot comes to the screen, one with Upgrade written in dark blue,

Then the name disappears giving way to the respective thing,

Mahoraga (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Cost: 5 SP

You now possess the adaptive power of the Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General

Mahoraga.

With the incantation "Furube Yura Yura," you summon forth the wheel of cycle and harmony

behind your back. When you experience a phenomenon for the first time, the wheel will turn,

signifying that the process of analysis and adaptation has begun, upon the completion of an

adaptation, you gain resistance and the ability to counter that phenomenon. Repeated exposure

to the same phenomenon will expedite the adaptation process.

This process of analysis and adaptation never fully ceases. Even when faced with phenomena,

attacks, or defenses that your adaptation has already overcome, the wheel will keep spinning,

continually analyzing and adapting in pursuit of more effective ways to overcome the

challenges you face.

The wheel also bestows the ability to fully heal oneself each time it turns up; you

keep all the adaptations you have already gained, even when the wheel is not summoned

Leo's jaw dropped slightly,

'Holy Mother of Curses… This is useful for literally fighting any opponent. It's official. I love my

power.'

Still on an adrenaline high, the boy immediately asks for Perk to be rolled as well.

He waits a few seconds and…

Another screen appears with Perk written in gold.

Soon disappearing and showing the boy's Perk.

Inner Harmony

Cost: 4 CP

You have attained inner peace and balance, allowing you to remain calm and centered in any

situation.

[This perk is highly compatible with "CEM"]

'…Is this some kind of poke at me? Whatever, it will be helpful too'

[Brockton Bay, Winter's Residence. February 10th.]

In the downtown area, in a relatively large house for the location near Lord Street.

Samantha prepares breakfast for the residents of the house,

Something unusual in reality, since normally she and Ethan would go out for coffee and then

work. But since yesterday they now have a new member in the house, at Ethan's request, and with

Samantha's agreement,

Leonardo, for the unforeseen future, will stay with them, having his own room in the house.

All being part of his new civil identity, Leonardo Winters Adelardo,

Ethan's nephew and hers by extension.

The woman sighed as she smelled coffee entering the bottle, and she smiled slightly.

Sam is a relatively tall woman, being similar in height to Leo, she has short black hair in a pixie

cut, her eyes are somewhat light brown and her face is delicate and still slightly wrinkled from

having woken up a few minutes ago,

She goes to the kitchen table, leaving the thermos there, after finishing making the coffee.

And leaves some mugs there too,

The woman sits at the table, starting to drink coffee, her mind once again going to recent events.

The new ward under her tutelage made his first public appearance.

And he put on quite a show, and not just in a good light, unfortunately,

He was highly praised on the internet and even within the organization.

However, at the same time, many reprimanded him for his light brutalization of the criminals on

his first patrol...

However, something that surprised even Sam, happened.

After taking criticism directly from Piggot about such a problem, the boy simply apologized and

the next afternoon went to the Wards' training and power testing location and took the liberty of

asking the experts for tips on how to "hold on to his punches".

In the metaphorical and practical sense as well.

And it worked, the next day on his next patrol, one at night.

The boy focused his attacks with his blaster power only on the criminals' weapons.

In addition to using his CEM to incapacitate them without hurting them too much, apparently, he

can control how strong his attacks are with that energy?

'He has an incredible future ahead of him if he keeps this up of course... You can never be sure

when it comes to teenagers of course.'

The woman couldn't help but smile slightly at the thought.

Until…

A light breeze passes by Sam, who shivers slightly, becoming confused, did she leave the living

room window open-

Over her shoulder a white letter lands on the table, the heroine freezing slightly, her trained eyes

already noticing the symbol on it.

"This is your last one, good luck."

Samantha Winter really never gets a break.

[February 10th, afternoon, with Gallant/Dean]

The armored Ward, in his "Civil Self", walks around the south of the docks, more specifically

leaving his girlfriend's house.

His cell phone is in his hand, looking at the latest post of the moment,

'Man, they're really loving Caerus... Which is funny since Leo himself didn't expect that.'

Replied On Feb 10th 2011:

Look, all I'm saying is that for his first official fight in the public eye, the kid did well. Stop being so

critical, who knows if he hasn't already been reprimanded?

Doodles-allie (The Art!)

Replied On Feb 10th 2011:

I agree with Muk, especially since we don't know how strong his powers are. Maybe he's just an

extremely strong hitter and that's the most he can hold back.

Replied On Feb 10th 2011:

Hello everyone, I'm reading most of the messages. And I understand the criticism from all of you,

and don't worry I'm thinking about it

Edit: [Sorry PR guys, next time I'll ask if I can answer here.]

Dean chuckles seeing the messages,

Leo is… More boring than anyone would imagine.

Not in the bad sense,

He is mature, calm, generally good-humored, and charismatic even if he doesn't seem to notice it.

All in all, a nice guy.

Dean is sure people will like him at school,

But inside, Dean still manages to see that the boy seems to go into a depressive mood at times.

Sometimes when the boy seems to stop to think, or simply not talk to anyone, the colors of the

spectrum linked to chronic sadness come to him.

Since the beginning of this month, this seems to have improved. Dean is sure it has to do with

the "Perk" the boy told him about on one of their patrols.

However, Inner Harmony is not about Complete Happiness, and the boy seems to have noticed

that.

Dean notices he received a private message.

When he opens it he sees a photo sent by Leo.

In the selfie, the boy makes a face and smiles openly, next to him a Glory Girl floating in the air

making a peace sign.

Dean's laughter couldn't be contained when he saw the image, Vicky had just gone on patrol with

his mother, she had already found the boy's new friend and even took a photo.

In the Caption a sentence,

"I found a flying girl, is she yours? Please don't leave flying girls around, it's dangerous."

A smile comes to Dean's face as he answers.

"Thanks for finding her, I had forgotten where I parked it."

[Same Battle Site, approximately 15 minutes later.]

Vista runs across the battlefield, things now turning to their side,

The girl uses her powers to bend one of the nearby walls,

Making it prevents Krieg from retreating, who then takes a punch to the chest from Assault, the

wall exploding behind the villain who is thrown into the abandoned building,

"Come on Vista, go help your Junior!" The hero in red says and Battery passes him at full speed,

heading inside the building.

The hero soon goes inside with his partner,

The fight in the last few minutes has been extremely exhausting, Console seems to have lost

contact with Caerus, and the villains don't give them even a second of rest,

And only with the arrival of Assault and Battery have things now taken a better turn.

Vista continues her little journey by running and then manipulating the ground slightly making a

ramp for her, aiming to get past a large concrete wall, where she can hear sounds of battle,

She runs in it and arrives in a large clearing behind the wall,

Being higher than the clearing itself gives her a panoramic view of the place,

She arrives in time to see a blur hit the ground relatively close to her,

The blur adjusts before bouncing back to the ground and rising, kicking dust into the air.

Vista quickly descends the ramp above the wall, landing next to the "Blur", a bruised Caerus.

Vista is slightly horrified by the boy's condition,

His upper body is covered in small cuts and bruises, some of which appear to be smoking and

attempting to close themselves, while others seem to have healed, leaving small marks on his

skin,

The only parts of his upper costume intact is a portion of his black scarf,

His Tinkertech-reinforced sleeves, and his golden mask which still has several scratches,

The boy groans lightly and chuckles as he notices Vista,

"Hey Vista, if you're here I suppose we have the advantage now?"

The boy says, his eyes finally coming to hers, flickering between a red and his normal green.

She can still see the same focus in them as before.

Leonardo is still completely locked in.

…She should be too.

"Yeah, they're starting to lose, and we got the news that 3 members of New Wave are coming

here… The Empire will start trying to run away now, like the cowards they are" The girl says

looking at where the metal tornado now begins to concentrate again, forming the common

Hookwolf shape again,

The boy is silent at this,

"...I won't let that guy get away, sorry." The boy says and rolls his shoulder, straightening up and

starting to walk forward, Vista watches him again and looks up slightly, seeing the wheel up

there,

The object then… Spins again.

KRRK

"Come on Vista, I just need a punch. I must have spent a solid 10 minutes making him waste

metal on me, and after all that I think I deserve it as much."

The boy says, in a semi-serious tone and Vista focuses her vision on Hookwolf again...

The villain is not attacking, in reality, he seems slightly smaller than normal, his metal full of

defects, more than that, he looks

tired

.

This is Caerus' first-ever serious fight against a cape,

And the Ward is about to defeat one of the most bloodthirsty villains in the city,

He continues walking forward, leaving Vista behind,

A ping is heard coming from her Earpiece,

"Console, you heard him, what do you think-"

A deeper voice is heard, interrupting her and responding.

"Hello Vista, don't worry. Let him do what he wants." The voice says, and the girl is extremely

confused for a second.

The voice explains its identity and suddenly all the worry disappears from her, after all, one of the

GOATs are in Brockton Bay.

The Ward is getting closer to Hookwolf and in the villain's mind...

Things are not going well.

'This fucking kid... I really can't kill him, how far have you fallen, Brad? Unable to kill someone who

got on your nerves, Hadn't you decided to do whatever you want whenever you want?'

Even so, with all the disgust the man could feel for his sorry self,

He looked at his body and saw that he could now only maintain two layers of metal, and his core

was now once again in a humanoid shape,

Even with this feeling of inability he couldn't help but feel excited, when was the last time

someone hurt him so much?

Now on Caerus's side,

The boy, who stops, is not too far from Hookwolf, at a maximum of 50ft,

He analyzes his condition... and concludes that

he is fine.

A smile appears on his face, his cursed energy envelops him, and he can once again feel the

changes to his being,

'I think I can finally understand the full effect of my perk on my CEM, and it's glorious'

'A sorcerer who can calm down and focus at superhuman levels like me is...

I Am blessed, I am

enlightened.

'

'I can feel you, my dear energy... I know how much you want to come to the surface to your

maximum, to reach the great pinnacle of sorcery.'

By his wants,

His technique responds to his wishes.

KRRK

"Hey Wolf, my next attack will kill you. I suggest you focus on defending."

The boy says, his pose forming slightly, his left arm practically coiling itself back like a snake,

with his right fist further forward closed and ready,

"...Heh, if I die like this. Then so be it, that's what people like you and me live for anyway. Do your

worst brat." The man says, his arms forming in a formation in front of him in an X, and then his

blades of all kinds begin to form a large shield-like metal mass around him,

They both look at each other, their eyes locking in.

And Caerus' now improved muscles get tense, preparing itself like a newly improved machine,

[Leonardo Adelardo.

If a proper sorcerer could see the boy at this very moment, they would probably have a rage fit

and then have a sudden heart attack.

A freak, that's the best way to describe him.

Muscles perfectly adapted to the use of cursed energy. A brain locked in a constant state of

calm and absolute focus. The only technique capable of opposing the Limitless and the Six

Eyes.

All in the same body, which due to the technique is constantly evolving.

]

KRRK

The boy sprints forward, his left fist is already in motion to punch with all the force possible.

The exact 46 feet of distance between him and Hookwolf, is traversed perfectly in less than a

second.

The boy's cursed energy explodes like an uncontrolled electric current around him, and as his fist

touches one of Hookwolf's blades…

BLACK FLASH

["Black Flash is a distortion in space that occurs when cursed energy is applied within 0.000001

seconds of a physical hit. When a sorcerer can achieve this, their cursed energy flashes black,

and the destructive power of their strike is equal to a normal hit to the power of 2.5.]

[The difference in the ability to understand the essence of cursed energy among those who

have used and those who have never used the Black Flash, is the difference between heaven

and earth."]

The boy's fist, completely rips the mass of metal off the ground, its momentum being so large

that even before the villain could fly backward the boy's fist had already managed to penetrate

the metal and touch Hookwolf's flesh, causing real damage.

BOOM

!

With a giant boom, the mass of metal is thrown far away, bouncing off the ground three times,

and finally crashing into an unfinished building nearby,

The boy remains in the same spot where he stopped after throwing the punch, his left fist now

missing part of his tinkertech gloves and sleeve.

KRRKKkkk

The wheel turns once again and the boy sighs deeply…

His eyes glazed over slightly.

Understanding coming to him.

"Heh, I can still get much stronger..."
