Months had passed since Sakura settled back into Konoha; but those months felt like an eternity. Sakura was grateful that everyone in her life was being so compassionate to her. When Sakura first returned to the village, Ino would spend the night at her apartment to provide her with some much-needed company and support. Naruto, who was now Hokage, gave her a place to stay, free-of-charge.

Hinata, who was generally a shy and introverted person, would frequently invite Sakura for some tea, and set up "play-dates" for Sarada and Boruto. Iruka would sometimes babysit Sarada when Sakura was at work.

Despite all this support, Sakura was still suffering. Everyday was a hurdle for Sakura to overcome. There were times when she would wake up at 5 in the morning to prepare a Bento box for Sasuke to take with him on his missions.

There were times when she had to call in sick at the hospital because she couldn't sleep at night. There were times she had dreams about him that were so vivid, they felt real. She would wake up, expecting him to be sleeping next to her, only to be struck hard by reality. Sometimes, Sakura found it painful to look at Sarada because of how much she resembled her father.

Sakura couldn't believe how much Sarada had grown since Sasuke's death. There was once a time when Sakura thought Sarada was behind on her developmental milestones. But, her Sarada was now walking independently and had a pretty big vocabulary for her age.

Sakura felt guilty when it came to Sarada because she didn't pay her the attention she deserved. Before Sasuke became ill, Sakura was very attentive to Sarada.

Sakura had a memory book that she used to document Sarada's growth. The first entry she made was on March 31st - the day Sarada was born. The last entry she made was when Sarada was 10 months old. Now, Sarada was 17 months old and there was a big gap in the memory book.
