Responses to questions or statements:

-wilsonjonathan686: Glad you like it.

-NewGuest123: Then you're going to like this snippet, hope you enjoy!

-Glad you like the idea! Colonel Radec was one of my favorite characters from Killzone and I was disappointed when I couldn't find any Killzone SI fics with him in one. Hence is what propmted me to write it.

-KingDiamond55: Pretty much, I think it's a nice idea to explore. A girl's parents worried about their daughter while the girl becomes more and more fanatical and devoted. The Disciples will probably start out as you suggested. Mae would be some of the first to start treating it as an actual religion, with others following suite as it becomes more and more serious to the point that outright shrines are created and preachers spread the word of the Spartan.

-SCAF are cool. Totally agree that there should be more stories about them.

-Also, glad you like my Marker SI idea. Working to protect Mankind from it's brethren and other threats lurking out in the cosmos.

-Glad you like my Killzone SI idea man!

-KingTheon722: Your Rouge Trader idea was good, man! Your Fallout stories are good too. The SI Kimball would make sure logistics and supply lines are streamlined and focus on consolidating the territory they have instead of overexpanding. As well as prevent NCR mistakes like you suggested and even offer amnesty to Enclave personnel that deserted instead of hunting them down for war crimes like the original NCR did. Overall, the SI would make sure the NCR doesn't become the bureacratic, corrupt, and incompetent entity it did in canon.

-TK0421: Pretty much, mental attacks to soften them up before sending in the swarm.

-Pretty much wrote what I was thinking. The MC would work hard to get Thrawn back because let's be honest, there's no one else in the Empire like him. Her dispatching forces to eliminate Warlords so she can fold their resources and forces into her ranks. Filling up her administration with people that aren't necessary loyal to her, but competent at their jobs. With her using Royal Guards, ISB agents, etc, to prevent someone from overthrowing her.

-The New Republic and other warlords would definitely try to take her out. Since she's still a kid a this time, she would rely on Mara, Starkiller and the Imperial Royal Guard to protect her. The Royal Guards especially so since for some, since they feel they failed in their duty to protect the Emperor and would stive to atone for their self-perceived sins.

-Austin: As always, you create some wonderful ideas, man. Keep it up!

-AdmiralDan09: Nice idea! A bit too overpowered, but a nice idea for a curb-stomp fic. Because let's be honest, there's not much an ape can do against a bomber or a tank. Good job!

-Guest: Can't say I blame you. Killzone isn't exactly as popular as Halo or Mass Effect.

The Hounds of Death are a loyalist Space Marine chapter hailing from the Moebian domain. Founded from the ranks of the XIII legion after the Horus Heresy, the Hounds of Death are a fanatical, but humble, chapter of Marines who unleash their righteous fury upon all enemies of the Imperium of Man, with special disdain for the Black Legion and Abaddon in particular. This is in no small part thanks to the dark secret they harbor, kept only to themselves and shared with none, not even their most closest allies within the Imperium. For the Hounds of Death, are not the sons of the Lord Commander of the Imperium. But instead, they are sons of the arch-traitor himself: Horus Lupercal.

History: [CLASSIFIED BY ORDER OF THE FIRST CHAPTER MASTER: DOMINIC ARGYLE]

Homeworld:

The death world of Barakan is the homeworld of the hounds and where their fortress-monastery resides, it is a death world filled with dangerous plant life and man eating animals. Making it ideal training grounds for the chapter's recruits. However, the Hound's influence extends to not just their homeworld or even their home system, but to several other solar systems in close proximity. Most notable world examples include.

Helghan: A death world home to pale-skin humans with respiratory issues, with many having a lack of hair due to the planet's harsh conditions. A fortress world that produces many regiments for the Imperial Guard.

Schedar III: A farming world that is home to many missionaries that accompany the Hounds of Death in their crusades.

Vekta: A hive world with a heavy Adeptus Mechanicus presence. Produces much of the chapter's equipment, supplies, and munitions in exchange for protection. A pack formed when the chapter helped defend the planet against an Ork warband two-thousand years ago.

Combat Doctrine:

Much like the Luna Wolves before them, the Hounds of Death remain conquerors at their very core. Even when fighting in defense of Imperial worlds, the tactics and strategies remain the same. Destroy the enemy with overwhelming force with Astartes at the vanguard with crippling strikes against the enemy's leadership. Such operations are usual led by Space Marines clad in Terminator armor or with dreadnoughts, whom are regarded with reverence and awe within the chapter and to be considered being entombed in one is a great honor for any Hound. Treated with the utmost respect and care as they carry the legacy of their chapter, hold valuable battle knowledge for overcoming conflicts locked in stalemates and for the great power they wield.

While the Hounds of Death are are very proficient at melee warfare and excel with bolters, they are willing to use any strategy to accomplish their objective with as few friendly casualties as possible. Whether it be using siege engines to level an entire hive city before moving in to finish off what remains, deploying chemical weapons to soften up defenders before a siege, or simply leveling a planet overrun with enemy forces with Cyclonic Torpedo's or Virus bombs if they deem the warzone to be unsalvageable and to deny the opposing force any victory.

While the Hounds are not afraid to give their lives if they believe it to be necessary, whether it be taking down a powerful foe or buying time to allow civilians to evacuate, they believe their lives should not be wasted and that to spend your live unnecessary to is to prove that you weren't worthy of becoming one of the Emperor's Angels. Therefore, officers and NCOs of the Hounds of Death are chosen by their willingness to commit and order sacrifices as well as their ability to see the bigger picture no matter what personal attachments they have.

Despite Astartes not being allowed to command regiments of the Imperial Guard and vice versa, the Hounds often work frequent with the Guard, most often the Death Korps of Krieg for their ability to let nothing cloud their judgement and their efficiencies and ruthlessness in waging war. This in turn has given the Hounds a much more positive view of mortals than other chapters, helping to remind the Hounds what they are fighting for and even forming bonds with Guardsmen during deployment. Such as the case with Staff Sergeant Lian Hendricks of the 41st Cadian regiment and Brother-Fitz of the Hound's 3rd company during the 4th Black Crusade.

Regiments of the Death Korp and companies of the Hounds have formed an unofficial alliance where the two often work together to retake and defend Imperial worlds whenever the two happen to be operating in the same theater. With this originating when the 517th Death Korp Regiment and 5th Hound company worked together to save the Imperial populace of Argenta from a nearby Necron Tomb world that had recently reawakened.

Furthermore, while the Battle serfs of the Hounds have proven themselves in battle on countless occasions, the chapter mainly uses them for garrison duty, transportation of supplies and equipment, and augmenting and reinforcing Imperial Guard regiments they fight alongside. Believing that as the Emperor's Angels, it is their duty to bear the worst of the fighting while ensuring their mortal forces are sent to secure their flanks.

While the chapter does adhere to the Codex Astartes in most cases, they usually keep their numbers slightly above the one-thousand limit. With the return of Roboute Guilliman, they now view the codex as more as a set of guidelines rather than a book to be followed without question.

Beliefs:

Unlike the majority of Space Marine chapters, the Hounds of Death view the Emperor as the one true God and rightful ruler and leader of all of Mankind. While this view has allowed them to get along with the Ecclesiarchy and even certain covents of the Sisters of Battle, who view the Hounds with less suspicion than they do with other chapters. However, this has also led to tension between other Space Marine chapters.

While the Hounds of Death view themselves as the protectors of humanity and have been known to place the lives of mortal humans even above their own, in some cases with them outright sacrificing themselves to ensure regular humans make it to safety, they also believe that those who are willing and able to fight should be allowed to do so. Whether they be Astartes or not. They believe that those who are able and willing to take up arms against the God-Emperor's enemies must do so, if nothing more than to protect those that cannot defend themselves. This mindset has allowed them to get along well with the Salamanders and other like-minded chapters, but friction still arises from their use of Auxilla. A practice that the Salamanders heavily disapprove of.

Battle Auxilla:

Mortal as they may be, the serfs of the Hounds of Death chapter fight with the same fury as their Astartes masters, who in turn wage war akin to how their Luna Wolves predecessors did before them. They are primarily recruited and trained on the Chapter's homeworld of Barakan. It is often the Captain of the company they are assigned to that chooses where to deploy them in whatever warzone they find themselves in.

They are most often kept as a reserve force to secure spots in the frontline where there has been a breach. Charged with being the first responders to any infiltration or breach. Serfs' are better armed and eguipped than most Imperial Guard regiments thanks to the advanced manufactorums on Vekta. With techmarines of the chapter teaching them how to maintain their gear, with some Marines even creating weaponry as gifts to serfs who have shown true bravery in the field of battle.

Despite this, they still remain a formidable force to be reckoned with. As shown recently in the retaking of Hive City Tertium on Atoma Prime. The 4th Company of the Hounds of Death chapter deployed in response to the call for aid in the Fringe wars. When Tertium came under siege by the renegade Moebian sixth, Inquisitor Grendyl requested aid from the company once he learned of their arrival. However, the company had already deployed in force to aid stranded Imperial Guard forces on the planet of Krovos. Instead, the captain had deployed a contingent of battle serfs from the barge to aid in retaking Tertium. Their presence soon proved to be quite the game changer, as they launched a strike of overwhelming force that crippled most of the Moebian sixth's defenses. With them serving as the vanguard of the operation with the Moebian 53rd following close behind to retake the hive city. Rumor has it that the Auxilla force, with the assistance of the Moebian 53rd, even managed to kill several traitor Death Guard Astartes. Though, these reports are unconfirmed at this time.

Battle serfs are taken from all worlds that feel the Hounds of Death influence. With the majority coming from the world of Helghan, though many come from other worlds such as Vekta and Schedar III.

"Brother... are you certain of this?"

Yes, Captain. I am." The librarian said to his Captain.

"Very well," The officer nodded. "If that is his will, then it will be done. Ship Master, take us to this world."

Author's note: So, this is a work-in-process draft for the codex in regards to my OC space marine chapter that I may or may not include in Death Korps of Justice: Salvation. If I actually get down to writing the story.

As always, thanks for taking the time to check this out and I will see you all next time. And remember... stay frosty, gents.
