Chapter 144

"Are you sure it's okay for me to come out here with you?" Oscar asked as he walked down the streets of Mantle hand-in-hand with Nora. She had brought him out with her on patrol, and he had, as a result, left behind the Lamp at the dorm in Atlas Academy.

"Eh, I'd like to see them try and stop me," Nora said. "You've been cooped up in the Academy ever since we got here. You needed to get out and stretch your legs for a bit. Besides, I wanted to go out with you."

Oscar blushed. "Oh, uh, well, I, uh, appreciate it."

Nora smiled brightly at him. "So, where should we start our patrol?"

"Uh, don't you have orders?" he asked.

"Well, my orders are just 'to patrol', but we actually have a lot of leeway about exactly how and where we get that done, since we actually have enough people right now that it's not super urgent. So, do you wanna start out at the wall and watch me shoot some Grimm, or do you wanna start with a street patrol?"

"Uh, I think we should start with the street," Oscar said. "The wall might be a little too intense right now."

"Gotcha," she said, gripping his hand tighter and pulling him along down the street. "Let's go!"

"Hey, hey, hold on!" Oscar said, laughing along. She slowed down a little to avoid yanking his arm, and they began walking down the street. They walked for a few minutes in comfortable silence, simply enjoying each other's company. "So, is it usually like this?" he asked.

"Like what?"

"It doesn't seem like there's much going on."

"Well, it depends on the day," Nora said. "There's not much in particular going on today." As she said that, a patrol of soldiers walked past them. Nora eyed them wearily before she and Oscar continued walking. "So, I think we should—" Nora stopped walking, standing in place with her eyes wide and her mouth open.

"Nora?" Oscar asked, before following her gaze. His eyes settled on a woman and two children, a boy and a girl, all with the same shade of orange hair as Nora. The three people were clearly a mother and her two children who were approaching the front steps of their apartment. Nora clenched her fists, making Oscar recoil in pain when she squeezed his hand by accident. "What's wrong?" he asked. Nora didn't respond, instead letting go of his hand and bolting down the street. "Nora?!" he called out after her. The woman looked up at them in confusion, but Oscar paid her no mind, instead running after Nora. He felt something wet hit his cheek, and he realized that it was a tear.

Nora ran for several minutes, finally stopping to throw herself onto a park bench, putting her face in her hands and beginning to sob.

"Nora, what's wrong?" Oscar asked, walking up to her.

"I don't want to talk about it," she said between sobs.

"Nora, please," he said, gently putting a hand on her shoulder. "Just let me be here for you."

Nora looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears, before she pulled him into a hug and started crying into his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her and let her cry for several minutes.

Eventually, her sobs died down and she pulled back slightly, looking him gratefully in the eyes. "Thank you," she said. "I'm sorry about all that."

"It's fine," Oscar said. "Do you want to talk about it now? That seemed, uh, pretty intense. Who was that woman?"

"…I'm pretty sure that was my mother," Nora said, confusing Oscar.

"I… thought you were an orphan," he said.

"I am, kind of," Nora said. "At least, I consider myself one. And to be fair, I at least thought I was."

"What do you mean?"

"I assumed she was dead."

"So why did you react that way?" Oscar asked. "Wouldn't you be happy that she's still alive?"

"…She abandoned me," Nora said, surprising Oscar. "I never know my father, so it was always just me and her. But then, one day, our village was attacked by the Grimm, and she abandoned me. She ran away and left me for the Grimm to save herself."

"What?!" Oscar asked, pulling her closer into another hug. "Oh, Nora, I'm so sorry."

"Thanks," she said. "So, yeah, that's why I was always alone until Ren found me. It's why I valued his friendship so much. No one wanted me before that. And before you."

"I'm here for you," he said.

"I know you are," she said, smiling at him. "I appreciate it." She held him quietly for a few seconds. "It looks like she had other children."

"…Yeah, it looked like it," Oscar said.

"I guess she just replaced me, huh? She probably doesn't even remember me."

"Forget her," Oscar said. "She doesn't deserve you. She doesn't deserve for you to even think about her."

"I guess so," Nora said, hugging Oscar a little tighter. "Thanks, Oscar."

"You don't have to thank me," he said. "I'm here for you, for as long as I'm able."

Nora cupped his cheek, smiled at him, and gingerly kissed him.

"We spent the whole day, and no luck," Weiss complained as the team returned to their dorm room, no closer to finding Hanlon Fifestone than they were that morning. They had checked out Mosset Grotto out in the tundra, but just as the mouse Faunus girl they had spoken to earlier had said, they weren't able to find any clues as to where he had gone.

"Sure, Fifestone might be a famous Union leader, but you'd think it wouldn't be this hard to find him," Ruby said. "Does he not have an office or something?"

"Yeah, this is getting ridiculous," Tifa said.

"Well, maybe the Academy's library will have something we can use to get some more information about him," Blake said, using her Scroll to unlock the door to their dorm room. "We'll check it out lat—What the hell?!"

Everyone rushed into the dorm room, and saw that it had been magically transformed into some kind of bistro, complete with a small table with a basket of baguettes at the center. Two figures were seated there, seemingly enjoying a meal over some coffee. One of them was Genie, wearing a white-and-black-striped shirt, and red beret on his head, and a twirly moustache on his face. The other… was Jinn.

"La nuit est jeune, mon amour bleu," Genie said to Jinn in a language none of them could understand, taking both of her hands in his. "Alors amusons-nous un peu."

Team RWBL stared slack-jawed at the display.

"Oh, I don't know what you said," Jinn said giddily, giggling like a lovestruck schoolgirl. "Tell me more things I don't know."

"Omelette au fromage," Genie said, causing Jinn to swoon.

"What in the world is going on here?!" Weiss screeched, getting the magical beings' attention.

"Genie, what are you doing?!" Blake asked.

"Oh, hey there, Blake," Genie said. "What's up?"

"Don't you 'what's up' me!" Blake said. "What is this?"

"What? Can't a cosmic being take his lady friend out for a night on the town once in a while?" Genie said, leaning over to whisper conspiratorially in Jinn's ear. "Women, am I right?"

Jinn giggled before turning to the girls. "Hello, again, team."

"Uh, hi Jinn," Ruby said.

"Genie, you know we can't let Ironwood find out that Jinn's lamp still works," Blake said. "And you're just summoning her for a dinner date?"

"Uh, yeah," he said.

"Change the dorm room back and send Jinn home, right now," Blake said.

"But I –"

"Right. Now."

Genie sighed in disappointment, and snapped his fingers. In an instant, the dorm room had been returned to normal, and Jinn had disappeared. "You're really no fun sometimes, you know that?" he asked before disappearing in a puff of smoke.

The members of Team RWBL stood in silence for a several seconds.

"So, library?" Tifa asked.

"Uh huh," the rest of the girls said in unison.

"Faunus have been disappearing?" Robyn asked. "How had this not come to my attention yet?

Sora and Sienna had met up with Neo on her way back from a modelling gig, and all three of them had met up at the Happy Huntresses' hideout. The Chocobros had just so happened to already be there, so Sora and Sienna had wasted no time telling Robyn what Mikado had told them.

"How recently did this start?" Noctis asked. "There's no way we've been off the streets so long that we haven't heard about it yet."

"From what Mikado said, it sounded like it hasn't been happening for too long," Sora said.

"More importantly, it's gone completely unreported outside of brave Faunus like her spreading the word," Sienna said. "Not that I would expect anything less from Atlas."

"I'm not sure it's just Atlas being Atlas this time," Robyn said.

"What do you mean?"

"It's possible the information is being actively suppressed."

"What makes you say that?" Sora asked.

"I believe I know what she means," Ignis said. "We're based here in Mantle, not Atlas, where the disappearances are happening, and yet we haven't heard about it, either."

"I get it," Yang said. "So if we haven't even heard about this yet, then someone might be deliberately keeping it from getting out."

"But who would want to hide that?" Sora asked.

"Well, Ironwood, right?" Cloud said.

"Maybe," Robyn said. "But I don't know what he'd have to gain from hiding it."

"Maybe he's responsible for it?" Fiona asked.

"I can't think of anyone else that could be suppressing the information," Sienna said.

"But that would mean he has something to do with the disappearances of the Faunus," Noctis said. "Do we think he'd stoop that low to kidnap Faunus?"

"I think he would," Yang said. "After what he did to my mom."

"Good point," Robyn said. "That being said, we still don't know what's been happening to these people. We're assuming that they were kidnapped."

"Well, what else could possibly be happening to them?" Sienna asked. "We need to get to the bottom of this."

"On that, we're in agreement," Robyn said. "So, what do you say, Selene? You wanna be the bait?"

"Excuse me?" Sienna asked. "Why should I?"

"Because what better way to figure out what's happening to the Faunus than to send a Faunus out there and wait?"

"But why me?" she asked, pointing to Fiona. "I'm not the only Faunus here."

"Yeah, but Fi is a known quantity down here in Mantle," Robyn said with a smirk. "No one knows who you are. And we can't just ask a random person on the street to do it for us. We can't endanger a complete stranger."

"Now, just wait a minute—"

"I can't believe I let them talk me into this," Sienna mumbled to herself as she walked the streets of Mantle. They had dressed her in a cheap coat and pants to make her look less like a Huntress, and she had to admit that those combined with her magically-altered blonde hair really helped to make her look just like any other poor Faunus.

She sighed in frustration. She was once a leader of the biggest revolutionary army in Remnant's history, and now she was reduced to being used as bait to lure out some kidnappers. They didn't even let her keep her Cerberus Whip.

She looked up and spotted Sora looking down at her from the nearby rooftop. As part of Robyn's "master plan", when whatever was about to happen to Sienna happened, Sora's job was to follow her and keep the others updated. Apparently, that fancy Keyblade of his gave him some sort of ability to get traverse the rooftops quickly. As if he needed more impossible abilities from that damn weapon.

He waved down to her, prompting her to roll her eyes as she continued walking.

It didn't take long for her to notice the two men following her. She turned a corner into an alleyway, with the men following her as expected. She looked up, and saw that Sora was walking along the rooftop he was standing on, making sure to keep up with her. It was good to know he at least knew how to follow basic instructions.

As she approached the end of the alleyway, she heard the men behind her pick up the pace. Suddenly, an unmarked van rolled up right in front of her and blocked off the end of the alleyway, with a man inside throwing open the side door. Before she could react, the men that had been following her suddenly ran up and threw a sack over her head before shoving her into the van.

She heard the door slam closed and felt the van start moving almost immediately.

Sora put a finger up to his ear as he watched Sienna get loaded up into the van and driven off.

"The eagle has landed," he said.

"The what has what now?" Robyn asked through his earpiece. For the sake of keeping the group fairly small, in addition to Sienna being used as the bait and Sora following her, some of the others would serve as a strike team. Specifically, Robyn, Cloud, Yang, Gladio, and Fiona.

"Selene got grabbed," Sora said. "Some goons just threw her in a van."

"What are you yapping with us for, then?!" Gladio shouted into the earpiece. "Get after her!"

"Uh, right!" Sora said, running towards the edge of the roof. He could see the van that Sienna had been shoved into driving down the street. He quickly scanned the area, and saw a line of power cables running along the street.

He jumped off the roof and kicked off a nearby building. His body began glowing blue as his Flowmotion abilities kicked in. He launched himself towards the power lines, landed on one, and began riding it at high speeds, easily making himself able to follow the van.

Sienna had no idea how long she had been transported before she found herself being removed from the van by two men, who then dragged her elsewhere. She put up a token resistance, but not too much. After all, she didn't want them getting suspicious of her strength.

Eventually, she was wrestled to her knees, with the two men having a firm grip on her arms. The sack was roughly pulled off her head, finding herself in some kind of warehouse. She lightly pulled her arms to keep up the act.

"Selene?" a familiar voice asked. Sienna turned her head and saw Mikado kneeling next to her, two more men holding her arms just like Sienna's.

"Mikado?" Sienna asked. "Are you okay?"

"I-I think," Mikado said. "T-These men just grabbed me and brought me here. I-I don't know what's going on."

"Don't worry," Sienna said, trying her best to keep the girl calm. "We'll get out of this. Trust me."

"O-Okay."

"You think I'm blind to your failures, girl?" a man's voice said, and Sienna and Mikado looked and saw a dark-skinned man with black hair, a beard, and a scar over left eye towering over a young brown-haired Rabbit Faunus woman dressed in work clothes. The girl was lying on the ground, looking up at him in terror.

"H-Hanlon Fifestone?" Mikado asked, her eyes widening as she seemingly recognized the man. The name was vaguely familiar to Sienna. He was some kind of popular worker's Union leader or something.

"Let's see how well you can work if you are the one who was blind," Fifestone said, grabbing the girl by the wrist and lifting her into the air.

"No, please," the girl begged. Fifestone raised his hand near her face. Her eyes and mouth began glowing red.

"What's he doing to her?" Sienna demanded, pulling her arms a little more forcefully. However, the goons holding her down were stronger than she had anticipated.

"Quiet," one of them grunted.

A red mist was pulled from the girl's face and into Fifestone's palm as the girl screamed. Eventually, she went limp, to Sienna and Mikado's horror. Fifestone pulled a metal orb off his belt, which sucked up the mist.

"Thank you," he said. "Your fear has been useful. But now you've served your purpose."

"What did you do to her?!" Sienna demanded. Fifestone turned to her.

"I extracted her fear. She'll serve a far greater purpose." The girl he had done it from groaned from the floor.

"S-She's still alive," Mikado said.

"For now," Fifestone said. "I have no further use for her. I can't have anyone finding out about my operations."

"You bastard!" Sienna growled.

"I'd be more concerned with your own safety than hers," he said.

"You'll pay for using the Faunus like this!"

"I'm sure I will," he said sarcastically. "Who's going to make me? You?"

Instead of answering, Sienna simply wrested her arms away from the two goons. She quickly grabbed both of them by the back of the head and slammed their faces into the floor, knocking them unconscious. She quickly ran to the ones holding Mikado, and with a series of punches, knocked them out easily. She stood defensively in front of Mikado with her arms raised in a combat stance.

"You fool," Fifestone said. "You have no idea who you're messing with, do you?"

"Try me."

Fifestone reached for the contraption on his back, presumable his weapon, but a fist suddenly slammed into his face, sending him flying and knocking him through a wall across the room. Sienna looked, and saw that Yang had been the one that attacked him.

"Selene!" Fiona called as she and the others ran into the room. "Are you okay?"

"Mikado?" Sora asked as he knelt down to check on the girl while Gladio checked on Fifestone's earlier victim.

"We recorded everything," Robyn said. "I never would have thought he would do something like that."

"Give me my weapon," Sienna said, seeing Fifestone get up and try to run away. "We can't let him escape."

"Here you go," Robyn said, tossing the Cerberus Whip to her.

"Mikado, can you take care of her while we get the bad guy?" Sora asked.

"Um, I think so," Mikado said.

Sienna roared in fury and charged into the hole, the others just behind her.

The hole in the wall led to a cavern system attached to the warehouse. Sienna could see Fifestone running ahead of her, so she unfurled the Cerberus Whip and whipped it at him, causing the chain to wrap around his ankle. She yanked the chain, causing him to fall to the ground. He quickly untangled his leg, stood up, and grabbed his weapon off his back, a drill-equipped gauntlet with a retractable spear next to the drill.

"Hanlon Fifestone!" Fiona shouted as the others stopped next to Sienna and drew their weapons. "Stop right there!"

"We recorded everything," Gladio said. "It's over."

"Hanlon, I trusted you," Robyn said. "How could you do this to the Faunus of Mantle? To those poor girls?"

"Turn around and walk away," Fifestone said. "All of you. Forget you ever found me. This has nothing to do with you."

"You made it our problem when you started kidnapping innocent Faunus," Gladio said.

"What did you do to that poor girl?" Yang demanded.

Fifestone glared at the group, holding his weapon in a combat stance. "Fine. I've been patient up until now," he said. "But that patience is at an end. Let me show you what real fear is!"

He slammed his gauntlet into the ground, launching a stream of large rocks at the group.

"Get behind me!" Gladio shouted as he jumped in front of the group with his shield raised, blocking all of the rocks. When the stream ended, a much larger one was sent flying at them. With a mighty roar, Gladio raised his greatsword and sliced the boulder in half.

"Great job, sweetie!" Fiona cheered as she, Robyn and Yang started using their weapons to shoot at Fifestone.

"Thanks, babe!" Gladio said, as he, Sora, Cloud, and Sienna charged at Fifestone.

Fifestone slammed his weapon into the ground again, but this time it launched a small tornado, forcing everyone to scatter. He then cloaked himself in wind and started spinning rapidly, sending himself moving quickly along the ground like a top. Robyn, Fiona, and Yang kept trying to shoot him again, but the bullets bounced off the wind tunnel. He barreled towards the trio of shooters, forcing them to abandon their position and roll out of the way.

The wind surrounding Fifestone began to die down, and he stopped his tracks, clearly unsteady on his feet.

"Stay still!" Yang shouted, a charm on the necklace she was wearing glowing brightly for a second before a lion suddenly appeared and tackled Fifestone to the ground.

"Simba?!" Sora asked happily.

"Hey, Sora!" Simba greeted just as happily, still using his front paws to hold Fifestone down.

"Did you just summon a lion?" Fiona asked Yang.

"And did that lion just talk?" Gladio asked.

"People, focus," Robyn said. "We'll ask her about that later."

Fifestone managed to get his weapon up against the lion's, apparently named Simba, stomach, and caused a small explosion, sending the beast flying. Fifestone quickly stood up and raised his weapon, clearly intending to attack them again. Sienna quickly wrapped her chain around his arm, holding him in place. Sora charged in and used his Keyblade to slice the weapon clean in half, while Cloud and Gladio simultaneously slashed their swords at him, knocking him away and severely damaging his Aura.

Sienna felt a surge of her Semblance as Fifestone's Aura fell, and she pounced, the blade of the Cerberus Whip held in her fist. She slashed, and took the rest of his Aura out, causing him to collapse to his knees.

She kicked him in the stomach, knocking him on his back. With a rage-filled snarl, she wrapped her hands around his neck and started squeezing. "You're going to pay for what you did!" She growled at him.

Fifestone's eyes widened, and he began clawing at Sienna's wrists, trying to get her to let go and gasping for breath.

"Hey, hey, get off of him!" Gladio shouted.

"Selene, stop!" Sora shouted.

Sienna ignored them, continuing to choke the life out of Fifestone. She could see his lips start to turn purple, before someone yanked her off of him.

"Stop it, Selene!" Fiona said, pulling Sienna away as Fifestone coughed a gasped, desperately filling his lungs with air. "I know you're upset, but this isn't the way."

"Get off of me!" Sienna shouted, trying to get at him again. "He needs to pay!"

"And he will," Fiona said. "But we have proof of his crimes. It's over for him."

"Do you really think that Atlas will punish scum like him?! He only targeted Faunus. That's how he got away with it for so long!"

"Not anymore," a new voice said. They turned and saw that several Atlesian soldiers had arrived, led by a woman with pink hair wearing an abbreviated Specialist uniform.

"Lightning," Robyn greeted the woman.

"That's specialist Farron, to you, Hill," the woman said.

Robyn turned her attention back to Fifestone, who had managed to climb to his knees. "You used your Semblance on your workers?" she asked him. You stole their emotions. Why, Hanlon? You were supposed to protect them!"

"I had no choice!" he shouted. "You are blind to the machinery at work here. There was a time I used my Semblance for the good of Mantle." As he spoke, two of the soldiers with Lightning surrounded him. "To reduce tensions between our classes." The soldiers grabbed his arms, lifted him up, and cuffed his wrists behind his back. "Between the rich in Atlas and the rest of us. This is not what I wanted." The soldiers began to lead him away, but Sienna noticed a remote held in his hand. "What comes next is entirely your fault." He pressed a button, and the remote glowed.

Sienna braced herself, assuming that Fifestone had armed a bomb, but nothing happened. "What was that remote?"

"I don't know," Lightning said. "But it's nothing a few hours of questioning won't tell us. "So, what are you all doing here?"

"We were investigating the kidnapping of Faunus from Mantle," Robyn said. "Turns out Hanlon was behind it."

"Kidnappings?" Lightning asked. "We heard nothing about any kdinappings."

"Just like I thought. But what are you doing here, then, Farron?"

"The Atlas military has its own reasons for finding Fifestone. We had reason to believe he was involved in a conspiracy against the kingdom. He was an illusive one, though. But as soon as we received reports of shots being fired in this warehouse, we thought it was a pretty safe bet that he was here."

"Excuse me?" Yang asked, approaching the Specialist. "Do you know Ruby Rose? She's my sister."

"I take it you're Yang Xiao Long, then," Lightning said. "As it happens, your sister's team is the one handling the investigation into Fifestone. I'm sure she'll be happy to hear that you caught him."

"So, she's okay?" Yang asked.

"Yes, she's fine."

"Oh, good," Yang said with a sigh of relief.

"Anyway, Atlas thanks all of you for your service in catching Fifestone," Lightning said. "We'll take it from here."

As Lightning walked away, Sienna felt someone run into her and wrap their arms around her. She looked down and saw Mikado hugging her tightly. "Thank you so much," Mikado said. "You saved my life."

Sienna smiled and pat Mikado on the head affectionately. "I would never let him hurt you. Us Faunus need to stick together."

"You were so amazing, Selene!" Mikado gushed.

"You seemed awfully angry," Robyn said. "While it's understandable, I think you took it a little far."

"There's no length I wouldn't go to if it means protecting the Faunus," Sienna said, glaring at Robyn. "No matter who gets in my way."

"You seem passionate," Robyn said. "And experienced."

"Of course I'm passionate!" Sienna shouted. "I used to… be in the White Fang," she said, correcting herself before she could accidentally reveal her true identity.

"The White Fang?" Yang asked, clenching her fists. "They attacked Beacon and Haven."

"That wasn't the real White Fang!" Sienna insisted. "That was a perverted version of our organization. He was insane. Sienna Khan actually drove us toward progress, but Adam would see it all torn down to satisfy his grudge. When he took over, I left." Technically, it wasn't even a lie, as long as she left out that she was Sienna Khan. "All I've ever wanted was to protect my fellow Faunus and keep them safe."

"Doesn't change the fact that you used to be a terrorist," Gladio said.

"Only a 'terrorist' to the people that had reason to fear us."

"Please, leave her alone!" Mikado said, standing between Sienna and the others. "I don't care if she was in the White Fang! She was the only one that cared that Fifestone was kidnapping us! She saved my life! I know she's a good person! If you want to arrest her, you'll have to go through me!" It wasn't lost on Sienna how much Mikado's knees were shaking, demonstrating the girl's fear. Honestly, it made Sienna feel proud of her, being willing to stand up for her fellow Faunus, even against a group of humans with authority.

Robyn held her hand out. "Take my hand," she said.

Right. Her Semblance. Sienna complied.

"Did you have anything to do with the attacks of Beacon and Haven?"

"I had nothing to do with the White Fang attacking either of those Academies," Sienna said, her hand glowing green.

"Do I have your word that you currently have nothing to do with the White Fang?" Robyn asked.

"You have my word." Again, her hand glowed.

"…Fine," Robyn said, letting go of Sienna's hand. "For now, I'll trust that you have good intentions. When you heard about the kidnapped Faunus, the first thing you did was ask me for help. I don't think you're some kind of extremist."

"Oh, thank you, Miss Hill!" Mikado cheered.

"Well, glad that's taken care of," Sora said.

"Not so fast," Robyn said, turning her attention to Sora and Yang. "What was that talking lion from earlier?"

"Oh, yeah, I forgot!" Sora said, looking to Yang excitedly. "You can summon Simba! That's so cool!"

"Simba?" Robyn asked.

Yang sighed.

AN: A couple of interesting things here. First off, we have Nora seeing her mother is still alive, and had two new children to replace Nora in Mantle. I actually was originally going to have Nora confront her mother, but decided that she probably wouldn't be mentally ready to do that yet. This will come up again, I promise.

We also have a change to how Fifestone was caught. In the game, Team RWBY never actually investigates the disappearing Faunus. Fifestone just so happened to also be the one doing that. However, in the game, they had Qrow's help finding him, since Qrow had used surveillance drones that you have to find and put together to get his location. Qrow isn't here, however, since he's in rehab, so they couldn't find him. Instead, Robyn actually investigates the kidnappings and stops him instead.

I also was originally planning for Sora to accidentally use Sienna's real name when she's trying to choke out Fifestone, which would have forced Sienna to reveal her true identity, but I decided that it wouldn't work for various reason, such as Sora actually being pretty careful about stuff like that, since he never used the wrong name when Mulan was disguised as a man, and how Robyn likely wouldn't trust her enough yet for that to be okay.

As I said earlier, the sneak peek of the next chapter is up on my P atreon right now.

I want to remind everyone that this story has a TvTropes page!

As always, thank you very much for reading, and I'll see you all next time!
