Well I'll be damned. Two weeks, I'm sorry. I was really hoping for a weekly update but that does not seem to be the plan. But it's here! Espeon master espo i've run it through Google's grammar and spelling check so there should be less spelling mistakes. Hit me up if there are still alot. Some big questions and thoughts are hit here, and after the next chapter I will be speeding it up. I love the build up and working through Harry and Hermione's post war and pre war thoughts and action but I want to continue with the story so if i forget to mention a plot point or failed to conclude a train of thought please let me know but I AM MOVING FORWARD. Again I run off of attention and caffeine and Attention is free to give. Can't wait to hear from you all. Thank you all for the support.

Harry was woken up by Hermione sitting on him, across his lap, her arm wrapping around his neck and shoulders. "Mmm I must have dozed off." Harry said, putting an arm around Hermione's waist so she can't slide off. He also looked over at the portraits but can't see his grandfather in it at all nor his grandmother.

"Growing boys do need their beauty sleep." Hermione teased with a smile looking into his eyes.

"True, but I didn't mean to get this beauty sleep. I was preparing." He looked around for the letter that was from Ted but couldn't find it.

"Sorry but I read the letter as well. I saw it when I moved your writing stand, and couldn't help but to see what it was about." Hermione said a bit of the joy from her face left as she brought up the letter. "I don't think he will have to look into me anymore. I think my parents are under control."

To that Harry nodded still tired but was waking up slowly. It was a bit hard as he felt very comfortable with Hermione in his lap. "What time is it?" He asked.

"About eleven thirty." Hermione responded, resting her head against his shoulder.

After sitting there for a couple minutes enjoying each other's presence, Harry broke the silence. "Did I do a good job then?"

"You did amazingly. They both like you. But they also agree something is off, so you might be a bad liar." Which caused Harry to laugh.

"I'm pretty sure that's a compliment. I hate lying." He admitted.

"Well we will be doing seven years worth of it." Hermione shot back.

"Fair. Would you like to talk here or over some tea?" Harry asked.

"Honestly, here. Today has been very stressful and this is relaxing. You should be a chair more often." Which made Harry laugh again.

"I'll be whatever you need me to be." Harry responded to her.

"OH my prince charming." She said giggling but then quieted down. "So what should we talk about first?"

"Daphne." Harry simply said. When Hermione didn't respond soon he continued on. "How far do you want this contract to go? My grandfather has been informing me on it. If it's a good contract it's expected that both parties will go for it, and you know how people are in magical britain." Harry continued even though Hermione stayed quiet for a bit.

"What is love Harry?" Hermione asked quietly.

He was about to respond quickly but then closed his mouth. He thought about his six years of school. He's been attracted to many girls, Hermione, Cho, Ginny are the three that come to mind right away. But can he even have Ginny on that list?

They sat there in silence cuddled up against each other. "Love is." But Harry stopped again. "They really fucked us up with those love potions didn't they?" He asked instead. Hermione again only nodded against his shoulder.

Harry sighed. "It's not physical attraction, even though we, I assume, have it for each other. It's… always being on their side even during stupid impossible quests, it's always wanting to help them even when they are acting stupid…" Harry stumbled over his words. "It's what we have. It's hard to describe, but easy to feel."

Fuck did he just anounced his love to her? They both thought it, almost simultaneously.

Hermione tilted her head up and whispered into his ear. "I'm pretty sure what you feel is my body against yours and you don't want me to move it." She said in a weak attempt to tease him.

Smirking. "No, that's wrong. I've had many ideas on how you can move, you just won't be off of me." Harry whispered back to her watching her face slowly go beat red. He finally successfully was able to tease her back.

"Back to the problem at hand please." She said smiling.

"I mean I can carry you and call you my problem so you would be in my hands."

"Back to Daphne." Hermione said, still smiling, apparently her problems alleviated fully if not a bit. All it took was Harry to admit he did love her.

"There is a good chance they might push for the marriage to actually go through." Harry explained his worry.

"So you'll have two wives isn't that most boys dream?" Harry seemed to struggle processing that question. Hermione even heard his heart speed up as she rested against him. "I want you, but I also want Daphne safe. It was my idea so if this is the cost i'll pay it. Besides, she's a lot better person than you may think."
This got Harry to process more of the situation. "There are clauses I'm wanting to put in for her protection. The main one being 'if both parties agree, by the time they leave Hogwarts, that a marriage will not be healthy, the contract will be null and void and no financial or monetary possessions will have to be returned.' We don't want her trapped but it will also be insulting if I make it sound like I don't believe the marriage will be fruitful."

"Mmm fruitful." Hermione said a bit dryly. "What do you want out of marriages?" She asked.

He wanted to shout 'you', but figured if he said it too much too soon it'd lose its meaning. "I want." He paused. His heart was beating hard again, but he breathed slowly to try to calm himself a bit, to fully think of her question. "I want a family. I want to love and be loved. I want trust and smiles and laughter." He said eventually. It was the truth but he also pictured her when he was saying that. "I want everything I didn't have growing up. Christmas, holidays and birthdays. I want to travel and hide away, I want to make pillow forts and read stories in them. I want a family, and I want a life." He admitted.

Hermione never fully responded, she just slowly nodded understanding where he was coming from. Harry started to think she fell asleep but with a glance down her eyes were open and she was biting her lower lip. A tell that shows she's thinking hard.
Eventually she spoke up again. "I know I asked you of this, saving Daphne that is. Let me be selfish though and choose me first. I want to do all of those things with you. I want to make those memories with you. Morgana, I want to go dancing with you again too. But also save her. Pick me, and save her. I'll talk to you if problems arise from this."

Harry didn't fully know what to say after that so he just didn't. All he did was kiss the top of her head in agreement.

"Should we move to the bed?" Harry eventually asked after they stayed like that for a while.

"I think so. A girl can get addicted to being this close to you." She said as she started to unwrap her arm from him and stand up.

"Use me as a chair anytime you want. It was very enjoyable for me too." Harry said smiling.

"Any news on Sirius?" Hermione asked as she waited for Harry to stand.

"Some, Ted believes me more, and he's trying to do it in a way where it seems like someone else investigated and got him out for us." Harry said, smiling and standing up. "Will you come with me tomorrow?"

"I'd love to, but I'll have to ask my parents." Hermione admitted.

"Will they say yes?" He asked.

"They should, if I remember right, they both have patients and surgeries throughout the day."
Harry nodded to that as he led her upstairs to the master bedroom. To his bedroom, or their bedroom he guessed. "We should decorate our room sooner rather than later." He said to gauge how Hermione would react.

"Book nook, and books." Hermione said smiling. "The best way to decorate any room."

"I should have figured." Harry responded, smiling back.

"Well it's better than quidditch players and skimpy girl posters." Hermione shot back at him.

"Please I am the best quidditch player there will be, why would I put up lesser players? And besides I have you around If I want to look at skimpy girls." He responded, teasing her in retaliation for the past couple days of her doing it to him.

"Are you saying that women are only good for decorations?"

His pride and ego fell as his teasing attempt was so easily squashed. "Of course not. I'm just saying you're more beautiful and attractive, that I don't need any models around me."

Hermione side eyed him as they made it to their room. "Smooth Harrison, when we're older you will get lucky for that one." She said smirking going into their room first swaying her hips in hopes of a seductive walk. Which worked partially.

"In the morning when you get back we should talk more about what we will do once in Hogwarts." Harry mentioned closing the door behind him as Hermione made a beeline toward the bed.

"Harry i've been thinking about that as well but honestly. Don't ruin the mood. Get in the bed and enjoy the night we're both tired and we have little under two months to actually worry about it." Hermione said, exhaustion laced her voice thickly.

Harry didn't argue or even say anything after that as he followed suit and climbed into the bed with her.

Harry woke up the next morning to an empty bed. He found it odd as they were entwined, how did she not wake him when she left? He shook his and made his way to the bathroom. He was going to take Hermione's advice and clean up right away in the morning so when they leave to go to Ted's firm he wouldn't have to do it then.

After showering he decided to wait on Hermione for breakfast and since he didn't know when she would be by he decided to do something he didn't know how to handle, his mother.

He was standing in front of the door that was clearing Sirius's room, it had a poster of the Harley Harpers quidditch team. And it was a skimpy one. He was partially tempted to tear it down but decided not to as Sirius would need a place for himself when he got out. With a deep breath and without knocking he opened the room.

The place was a mess, the elves were probably told not to clean it, but it was clearly dusted and all the laundry was taken care of. Just muggle and magical toys were strewn all around the room, A bed pushed into the corner and a pool table along with couches and chairs, miss matched but comfortable looking non the less. And sitting on the couch were his parents mostly translucent. They were looking over at him, he could see it, his eyes, his hair. He could see what everyone else says but he also can see Lily and James Potter.

WIthout knowing what to say he just blundered into a conversation topic. "I'll have two wives apparently, any suggestions on that?" He asked not sure where to look so he just opted for their shoulders.

"Stock up on pepper up potions?" James suggested. Which got a smirk from Harry.

"Make sure you're prepared to be either the go between or at the receiving end of arguments." His mother said. And it struck Harry how much he actually remembered his mothers voice.

She sounded exactly like he always pictured her to sound. He really wanted to leave but he had to. He couldn't send them away especially if they aren't in any kind of afterlife yet. And He can't keep ignoring them either.

"I should have known better from you, and mum sounds like you have some second hand experience?" Harry prodded.

"First actually. Dealing with the Marauders was like being the fifth wheel of an automobile. Sometimes we all got along, others I was a mediator between two and the other two or three and one. Normally it was all four against me, they would do an inappropriate pranks that could be seen as bullying." His mother glared at James who only smiled in response.

"What can I say? We targeted everyone." Which got a scoff from his mother.

"For a whole week you four pulled stories from the bible and tried to convince two first years that Jesus was a wizard." Lily exclaimed.

"I was getting tired just eating bread and fish for a whole week." He admitted then looked back toward Harry. "Rejuvenating charm on it. Took a while to get that to work on food"

Harry couldn't help but to laugh, he never read the bible before but knew how some people revere it. "My favorite was when we got Lupin to ride me in my stag form on halloween and he was dressed like the headless horsemen. Lots of screaming and lots of stuns." James admitted.

"Anyways as much as I would love to find more about you all. Any recommendations? I'm about to jump into a relationship with two women. Or at least expected to be in a relationship with one, and is in a relationship with another." Harry said changing the topic back.

"Wait, why are you expected to do this?" Lily asked, confused.

"Grandfather had an agreement with Lord greengrass. I'm willingly using it to help out the Greengrass family." Harry explained. "Well to be honest it seems like it wasn't even in play but it gave me the idea to help them out."

"I think I know what youre talking about. Though it became illegal if I remember so." James spoke up

"You knew of a marriage contract and you didn't say anything?" Lilly exclaimed.

"It wouldn't be a problem unless Ethan had a daughter. AND we play with the law to follow an outdated business deal." James replied, making Harry realize that James never told Lily or even ghost Lily what he had him read in the study.

His mother gave out a huff, and what's with you already being in a relationship?" Lily asked.

Which got Harry a bit more confused. "You didn't tell her anything?" He asked his father.

Who just shrugged and wrapped his arm around Lily. "I'm a simple man, I want to enjoy what time I have with my wife."

"What do you two remember?" He asked tentatively.

"Well. We died protecting you. Then it was just black. We were able to see you a couple times." Lily spoke up trying to remember.

"Yeah there was this wraith type thing in a forest and a dog. Then you sitting in front of a mirror a lot. Then you were fighting a bald man turned into Voldemort."

"Oh." His mother interrupted. "When you were fighting a whole bunch of spiders. Terrifying but you did great considering your age."

Harry was able to see the pattern. "You were only able to see me when I was close to death or dying?" He asked, a bit dejected. "I kind of hoped you were always watching over me. You said something to that effect in the graveyard when I fought Voldemort again." he argued again.

"It gave you peace did it not?" His father asked him.

To Harry's disappointment it did.

"It's not what I thought it would be either. That's why I'm not pushing to meet you. If you pushed us back to that blackness." His mother let that hang. It made Harry sigh.

He was thinking of doing that. Sirius would be coming back sooner or later and he wouldn't take no for an answer for him living here. Though he didn't know if anyone can see them or not. He didn't think any of the portraits noticed them or the house elves.

"Also not that I care, you look cute. But why are you young?" His mother asked.

"I knew I forgot to mention something!" His father exclaimed.

"I…" Harry paused. "First dad, try to go stand in front of your father and try to get his attention. Then come back." He instructed the older dead man. Who without a word did.

About three minutes later he came back with a worried look. "Nothing. Are we not normal ghosts?" He asked as he sat back next to his wife.

"Fuck." Harry breathed out.

"Harry." His mother chidded harmlessly.

"I have the resurrection stone, I have had it for a while now. But before that we had the invisibility Cloak. We." He motioned to his father and him. "Have been tied to Death for a while now. I think that made us a bit special, the hubris of our ancestors sort of thing." His father nodded slowly while his mother just rolled her eyes.

"So I won't have a normal afterlife cause I married a Potter who's ancestors fucked over Death?" She asked annoyance in her voice.

"Sounds about right." James said, putting his arm back around his mother.

"It's also this tie or it's just cause it's me, that death put me back in my younger self, to try again. To stop Voldemort this time. With knowledge of what's to come and all three deathly Hallows. And no I don't know how I have Dumbeldor's wand and he hasn't figured it out yet. Something else I'll ask Death when I see them." Harry quickly explained to them wanting to get back to the advice part of this conversation.

"So that's why Sirius and Lupin and the others disappeared? We are seven years in the past?" Lily asked.

"Please can we get back to." Harry tried but was interrupted by his father.
"Oh I hope you paid attention to what companies did well so we can make a killing in the investment game."

"I was thinking more about the books. He can read things he didn't read the first time." Lily broke in.

Harry was about to let out an exasperated sigh but a loud bell rang out through the house, he remembered it when Hermione apparated in.

"Stay comfortable you two." He said to his parents who were now bickering on what they would have done if they had to do Hogwarts over again.

Betsy was outside the door motioning him to go to the bedroom. "Ladsy is in the bedroom." She said with a slight bow.

"Thank you Betsy, by the way. If all goes well Sirius will be back within the month. Please prepare for an extra person in the house." There was a grin on the small elf and she started to bounce with excitement.

"Lord Doggy? Oh I'll have to make sure to get his favorite foods stocked and to find some good bones." She said mainly to herself but Harry nodded smiling to see someone happy, and moved to go to Hermione.

She was sitting on their bed in a knee length brown skirt and button tan shirt with long fluffy sleeves. Harry couldn't help but to let out a sigh and smile at the sight of her and leaned against the door closing it at the same time.

This sadly got the wrong attention from Hermione as her posture became rigid as she looked across to him in concern. "I found out why the resurrection stone tends to lead to insanity and or suicide." Harry said, starting the conversation seriously.

Her gaze instantly flicked toward his left hand as she stood and started to walk toward him slowly.

He watched as Hermione walked toward him almost feline like. Like she was hunting him. "They don't have an afterlife. They never really did. And If I send them back they only go to a black area. They aren't real ghosts or proper or whatever." Harry couldn't help but to sink to the floor. He just wanted their advice and now, it's either keep them around forever or send them to a black abyss where they can see him when he's close to death. It's. "It's an impossible choice. Keep them close where they can pretend to be alive or send them away." Harry said as he hit the floor.

Hermione was processing what he was saying but he could see it in those amazing brown eyes. She didn't know what to do either. At least not yet. "This ring." He says quietly as Hermione sits down next to him putting her head against his shoulder. "It doesn't do what we expected the stone to do. They come back but they never had a chance, it's how death messed with that brother in the first place. Not just a chance to see and interact with them. But that only you can interact with. It's almost as if you're talking to yourself." Once Harry said it, it almost solidified in his head.

They didn't give him advice with the two girls thing, they kept distracting him cause that is what he does. If he doesn't want to focus on one problem he finds another to think about or to act on.

"Death is a dick but there are easier ways to make someone kill themselves than by making them think they're crazy, Harry." Hermione placated Harry.

"But It doesn't make sense. Only I can see them?" He asked, closing his eyes and leaned against Hermione and the wall.

Neither spoke for a bit as they thought and found comfort in each other's presence. "Can you give them up?" Hermione asked, quietly.

"I can't send them back if it's just blackness. Even if they are together it's not… humane." Harry explained.

"I meant to send them away. Somewhere you will never go. Somewhere they can be together but away from you." Hermione explained.

"Like Australia?" Harry asked but regretted it as soon as the words left his mouth. He felt her tense up beside him but she didn't say anything for a while.

"Yes." She whispered eventually. "Out of mind until after the war." She added on after a few moments.

Harry's heart was beating fast and hard, probably loud enough for Hermione to hear. "Sorry that was uncalled for, you did what was right and safest at the time." Harry wanted to say more but just couldn't find the words.

"It was constant drama and action. Had to act, had to fight or to run, or to hide. It was constantly something. I couldn't do much thinking other than what was at hand. I kind of just passed it off to you and Ronald." He paused on that. "I say let's hunt horcruxes and you're smart enough to bring an enchanted bag with everything we need. And Ron put strategies and short term goals to make it possible.

"You were more important than that." Hermione said back quietly. "We wouldn't have stopped him. I would have been under those potions and we would have turned a blind eye to the take over. You may not have the brains yet but you are the spark. And I accept your apology but you will do it again but with some books as a gift."

Harry couldn't help but to chuckle. "Extortion? Did you forget you have an entire library here that is yours now? Hermione Potter." He added with a smirk.

It did the effect he was wanting as she started to laugh and grab onto his arm for support. "Oh Please Merlin, I hope the school doesn't know about that. Can you imagine the chaos with the sorting ceremony? 'Hermione Potter!'" She Mimics the sorting hat's voice and then laughs afterwards.

Harry laughs with her letting the stress of the stone wash away with the sound of her laughter. "What would happen first, Dumbeldor trying to pull us into his office for questions or Malfoy running off to tell his father?" Harry asked between his laughs which resulted in a snort from Hermione which just made the two laugh even harder.

It took the two a while to get themselves back under control even with themselves chuckling a bit here and there. They were now leaning against each other. Instead of Harry against the door and Hermione against him. Though Harry could feel that Hermione had no more tension and he did feel… Better now. His parents may be delusional or actually just separated from the afterlife. But he does have his own family, his people.

"I'll help you figure out what to do with your parents and to make sure you're not going insane. But we should eat first so we can get the rest of the day going." Hermione said standing up.

Harry stayed sitting while he looked up at her. "You're taking all this in stride and I thank you for that, Hermione." He said still just looking up at her. "I think if it was just me, I would have tried the straight up fight option." Harry admitted.

"And that is where I'll help you the most, I'm gonna make sure you start thinking differently. If you continue to mope like you used to during school it's going to be hard to do our job." Hermione almost lectured him as she held out her hand for him.

Begrudgingly Harry smiled at that. "I didn't mope, I brooded." Harry said, taking her hand and standing up as well.

She looked at him with a smile. "Brooding is attractive and or sexy. You were not, it was…" She hesitated. "Annoying really."

"Oh come on! I was not annoyed." Harry protested with a smile. He followed her as she led him to the first floor.

"Correct, you were not annoying, your mopping was annoying. And you better not do it again cause you know better now." Hermione said from the front.

Harry was about to respond but really didn't care. He just followed her in happy content.

The elves made them a simple breakfast of porridge, fruits, toast and different cheese's. Hermione teases Harry about being a baby with the taste of his potions he had to take, though other than that they ate side by side mostly in silence as they were reading the daily prophet between them. Getting affiliated with what was going on in the world. Which wasn't much.

Cornelius Fudge was blaming the previous administration about bad management, and lack of tourist events. And Fudge promised to make Britain a country worth spending money in. But most of it was the continuous meaningless articles but no trash drama or scare pieces in it.

Eventually after they ate they waited about an hour relaxing in the library giving Hermione a short amount of time to look around it, even to look through a pile of books that apparently were from Harry's grandparents. It's their political books they should read, Harry figured that he should return his grandfather back to the study since he is actually helping him.

Eventually they pulled themselves from the comfortable atmosphere of the library, and from themselves as Hermione ended up draping her legs over Harry's lap forcing him to actually read. Which wasn't fully accomplished. Reading wasn't a strong suit for him, though being 'held down by legs' forced him to focus on two things. Hermione and the book about britain's hierarchy.

Shortly after ten in the morning they apparated under the cloak into the alley and moved toward Ted's law firm. Outside where no one was around they took it off before going in. Which proved to be a good thing because Nymphadora Tonks was leaning against the entrance desk with a neutral face yet hair the color of lava. And when she saw Harry it turned bright red.

"Oi! Do you know how long I was in those archives!" She shouted at Harry, who smiled at her rude greeting. "If you knew he was innocent, why not use that proof? Why make us go find it ourselves?"

Even though Harry had a response ready he didn't have to say it as the door behind her already opened up most likely had a charm to go off when the front door opened.

"Calm down Nymphadora, your back will get better after you get paid and you know it." Her father said from behind.

"I'm less mad about my back and more mad at the fact at how often I had to flirt with Darvin." Nym complained

This got two confused looks from Harry and Hermione as her father just sighed. "Maybe next time you won't pretend to be his wife then?" He asked back.

"Well I couldn't get past the door looking like him if he was watching the only door." She shot back.

Ted sighed. "Regardless, did you get what we needed?" Harry asked, breaking into the conversation.

Tonks let out a long sigh and her hair started to turn to pink. "Yes. Barely found it. An order from Minister of Magic Millicent Bagnold to Barty crouch."

"Which I already gave to Amelia Bones. She has already opened up an official investigation. Told me to sit back and watch, and to tell whoever hired me to give the department a donation. Well that was this morning actually. And my wife has already told me her st. Mungos friends are gossiping that something big is happening in the ministry.

This got the room to be in a comfortable silence. "So does that mean we don't have to do anything but pay up for this to be concluded?" Hermione asked

"Well why wouldn't it be that way?" Harry asked.

"It's the ministry Harry, it's ineffective and knowing…" She let that hang. "There will still be a trial, and the question might come up. Where did you get the order from the previous administration?" Hermione fixed herself, as she was about to say, 'knowing what we know.'

"I doubt that question will pop up even if it does, it won't matter. Once Sirius goes under Versitium he will be a free man afterwards." Ted confidently proclaimed. To which Tonks nodded at her fathers statement.

"It's still hard to imagine that we, Britain as a whole, sent a man to prison without a trial." Tonks said obviously content now that she got her irritation out of the way.

"Anyways this must be your…" He let that hang not knowing to say friend or wife.

"Wife, or friend whatever you like to refer to me as but, friends call me Hermione. And since you are also family, please call me Hermione." Hermione said. She obviously had thought about that introduction, Harry thought.

"You know we are here to talk about a marriage contract right?" Ted said looking at the girl in front of him but still extended his hand for a shake that Hermione eagerly.

"And here I thought this was about his will." Hermione said with a smile which only got Tonks and Harry to chuckle and smirk. But Ted kind of paled, thinking she was either serious or figured he said the wrong thing.

"Please, I don't have the expenditure while at work to deal with wit." Ted pleaded.

"I will try, but life without wit is just… L-fee." she sounded out life without the 'i' present.

This got Harry to laugh, understanding what she was getting at and her awkward presentation of the punchline. Tonks continued to chuckle probably more at the confused look on her fathers face.

"I'll get the tea." Tonks said smiling, leaving through a door.

"And we should get started." Harry prodded which got the older man to pull himself together and lead them to his office.

"I must admit this is the first time one brings their wife to a Marriage contract talks concerning the husband." Ted said as he sat behind his desk. Harry and Hermione take the only two seats across from his desk after moving them closer, if for nothing but to mess more with the man after his statement.

"I have as much say in how Harry here might be courting another even through contract." Hermione said, patting Harry's hand as they settled in their chairs.

"Honestly I brought her along so we don't overlook something pretty simple or oblivious to men." Harry added on as well.

Hermione scoffed at that and looked over at Harry with a playful hurt look. "And here I thought you kept me around for my looks." She started with a mock shock look on her face.

Harry at first, not going to say anything, just smiled and shook his head. "There are many reasons why I keep you around. Your looks are amazing but low on that list. Now stop teasing me." He said with a smile as Ted got out his quill and ink with a smile.

"I Promise both of you, I've written a few of these already and when James helped get this firm up and running I looked at all past Potter contracts in case I needed to help later. I know the expectations of Potter." Ted said then stopped. "Though Harry here has already thrown me for a loop a few times. Maybe I shouldn't expect normal."

"That's probably a good idea." Hermione said, smiling at the older man.

"So on that note." Ted said, dabbing into the inkwell to prepare.

"Price." Harry said remembering his talk with his grandfather. "We should get that nasty practice out of the way with." He said as he noticed both of them looking at him.

"Ethan is in a terrible spot so he will try to get as much out of you as possible, but since you are reaching out to him it shouldn't be problematic if you go for a moderately high price. What I'm more concerned about is the expectation of the clauses." Ted started out writing some figures he had in his head out on a parchment. Though Harry noticed Hermione got a sour look on her face.

Harry reached over and placed a hand over hers in a hope to get her to calm down. He probably wouldn't be too calm if someone was talking about his friend and discussing pricing of them. "One clause, two expectations."

This got a very confused look from Ted. "There are normally a dozen to two dozen of each Harry, it's normally a very complicated and legal minefield."

Harry smiled and looked over at Hermione. "Not this one. Simple, straight forward, and protective." He said more to Hermione than Ted.

"It's a barbaric practice but in this case needed. We're not gonna try to confuse the Greengrass lawyers or place traps in the contract." Hermione said, smiling, pulling out of her mind like when she was learning about wars. They are brutal and stupid, but she had to learn it and speak on it.

Ted shook his head. "Alright well do a draft like yours and see how it goes. I get paid nonetheless."

"Very important clause, any money received or made with the money received will never be put to use to finance or help any who support those who murdered my Parents or those that killed them. And if possible without losing too much money, use it to hurt those that support those that killed my parents or those that killed them." Harry said.

He thought about this when he was learning of the hierarchy of the wizarding world. How there are normally always three parties in the wizengamot. Conservatives of the old ways, neutrals that go back and forth, and progressivists that have seen how the muggles have changed and liked what they saw.

Ted was quiet as he wrote but it was clear to both of them that Ted was surprised about the clause. "As high of a promise you can achieve." Harry said.

"Do…" Ted licked his lips. "You think they are still around?" Neither could figure out if he meant they as in voldemort or they as in death eaters.

"I know it." Harry said simply

"We've seen it." Hermione added on. "We believe they are biding their time for a new leader to take power but we don't know when that could be." Hermione gave a big white lie. Harry only looked over at her, they never said anything about telling people about what to come. To be fair they themselves never brought it up either.

"It's a must have clause." Harry reiterated.

"And the two expectations?" Ted asked.

"One, spend it on their family's needs first above everything else. Two, to come to me if they fall back onto hard times. We can't have them try to contract out their younger daughter as well and have a forced mixture of loyalties." Harry explained.

There was silence from Ted, for a moment to two. "So you're telling me." He finally started to speak. "The money they get from you is only meant to spend it on their family and their success? And they can ask for more to make sure their… Loyalties don't change?" He asked Harry.

"We understand this." She took a glance at Harry trying to understand his clause. "Could bring about a certain abuse of power. But once they see the contract as a whole they should understand it's just a way for Astoria, the younger daughter to live her own life at Hogwarts. That's not to say that it won't also benefit Daphnee as well." Hermione almost started to go onto a rant but Harry squeezed her hand to stop her.

"What we hope to do with this is that they can live normally in Hogwarts without worry about… What Lord Greengrass is hoping to get away from." This got Ted nodding.

"You will still be expected to marry her, or at least try to fulfill the contract." Ted explained.

Which got a chuckle from Hermione. "What do you think will come from that by the way? That saying has a lot of meaning." Hermione pressed.

Ted seemed to struggle to answer that. "Children normally. In this case more than likely two. But Greengrass will probably want to keep trying till a son is born." This got a nod from both Harry and Hermione.

"Sounds about right." Harry said. He felt Hermione stiffen from that but then relaxed.

"What about the price, did Greengrass ever mention how much money will help them?" Harry asked.

Ted Sighed either from the question or the constant change. "As much as possible. But other than that, no."

"Do you have an idea of how much that may be?" Hermione asked in almost a dry tone.

"Quarter of a million would be a good start but with the…" he searched for a term. "Loyalty that you seem to be looking for would be half if not even more.

Harry wanted to laugh. The goblins have been doing amazing for him Though Harry didn't really want to show that. "I'll. I'll have to send a message to the Goblins to make sure I can do that."

Ted nodded, obviously not catching Harry's correct emotion on the money situation. "Might want to check with them in person so you will know when we meet with the Greengrass's."

Both Harry and Hermione nodded to that.

"Anything you won't do in this contract?" Ted asked.

Hermione snorted. "Take advantage of her."

Ignoring Hermione's comment. "So the price is high but we'll make it work for their intended target. We won't argue much about that. I was thinking we should work on some things." Harry said getting to something he was most wanting to do but also get done with as it's a very awkward thing. But luckily or unluckily Tonks came in with a floating tea set with four cups. Meaning she was planning on staying.

"Tea is finally done." She said bringing it over and started to dish it out.

"So outs as in, ways the contract ends?" Ted asks not to pay too much attention to his daughter.

"Erh Yes." Harry said, eyeing Tonks.

"Not really for Harry but for Her." Hermione said.

"You know this is more about Potter and Greengrass, not really Harry and Daphne." Ted said. Again he felt Hermione tense up. He himself also didn't like that idea much either.

"Pardon but. Fuck no it's not." Harry exclaimed.

"It's about letting kids be kids." Hermione continued on. "Yes it will help all Greengrass's and benefit Harry keeping money away from our enemies and hope for allies to help us. But it's for them."

"Damn Hermione." Tonks said as she handed both Hermione and Harry a cup of tea. "I hate to say it but that's something her father is to look out for, not you two."

"Why not help?" Harry asked.

"Well you already have one wife, even if not with the ministry yet." Ted said as he was writing some notes down.

"It was her idea. Who am I to deny that?" Harry asked before taking a drink of the tea.

Tonks gave a low whistle. "Can I get in on this?" She asked, giving a wink to Hermione.

It caused both Hermione and Harry to blush at the idea. "Nym, why are you still here?" Ted asked.

"What? It's technically family business, I want to see what my little." She paused as she did mental counting or something. "Cousin." she finished off.

"You just asked to marry your cousin then." Ted said dryly, still writing most likely changing some of his ideas for the contract.

"More common than polyamory." She turned toward the pair with a smile. "For an allowance just imagine what an older girl can do." She hinted at it with a wink.

Both Harry and Hermione imagined what her changing ability could do but push it off as banter.

Her father, obviously used to this kind of shenanigans from his daughter. "So I took out more of the… Business like speak in hopes that Greengrass should see it as you two do. But it will take some explaining for him to believe us."

"Then we will just have to make sure he believes us." Hermione said smiling. "Let's start with the clause of 'Daphnee will have the final say to any activity. If she says no, the date, the situation will end with no repercussions toward her family.'" She added. It was one that Harry wanted in there too, just worded simply.

"But she also can't force us to do anything as well anything we do together needs to be mutually agreed. Upon that we should also agree to a minimum of once a month to spend time together, be it date, study session or just being near each other to get more acquainted." Harry said and expanded on his idea.

"That will probably be expanded upon. Expect once a week but if you like we can probably push it till twice a month minimum." Ted said writing some more, not even looking up anymore.

"You will need to add in a clause that won't exclude Hermione." Tonks said in her own voice but once Harry looked over toward her she was almost an exact copy of Hermione except for light pink wavy hair, instead of her normal brown.

This caused Harry to tense, remembering back to when death edged him on looking and sounding like Hermione. But Tonks wasn't trying to do that, and it took a few moments to think that through.

Hermione on the other hand chuckled. "Are you showing off what you can do?" she asked. Tonks-Hermione just nodded and smiled. "Can you do Harry?"

"Why are you encouraging her?" Harry asked, almost disbelieving what he's hearing.

"I'll give it a shot." Tonks said her hair was turning shorter and curlier.

"Daughter." Ted interrupted. "I think you have something else to do." He said in a finality tone. Tonks sighed and downed her cup of tea.

"I'll have my fun sooner or later, father." She responded clearly, not trying to turn into Harry anymore but her hair stayed short. She gave a wink to both Harry and Hermione but gave Hermione a write me hand gesture as she left.

"At least she's a family member that won't try to hurt you." Hermione said watching as she left, still smiling.

This however caused Ted to stop writing. "What do you mean about that?" He asked.

"Later date kind of talk." Harry said with his own finality. "Remember that's a talk between family members, not lawyer and client.

Ted just sighed but nodded. "I'll hold you to that. Now, make sure Hermione is included and can't fully be excluded but there will have to be one on one moments too. Should I add in Hermione's own one on one with Daphnee?" He asked. The two looked at each other, Harry giving an unhelpful shrug.

"Yes please, but less mandatory ones than her and Harry." Hermione said.

This continued for longer than either Harry or Hermione thought it would. Ted brings up normal clauses and Harry and Hermione answer and then Ted poked at their responses. Most were straight forward and barely thought upon. Until sometime in the middle when Ted was brought up. "In case of Pregnancy before marriage, you will have to marry her within the next four months, unless agreed to a later date."

This if Harry was drinking would have made him do a spit take. "A child while still in hogwarts? What would happen to the kid?" He asked, ignoring the question at hand.

"Well usually the family hires a nanny while the mother is in class, and the nanny is given accommodations in Hogwarts. But it's very unlikely as the school's food is laced with contraceptive draughts." Ted informed them.

"That's barbaric, they give me potions without me knowing or consenting?!" Hermione was close to yelling. Which caused Ted to drop his quill and motion for her to calm down.

"Morgana no, that would cause too much hormone changes. It's a men's contraceptive draught that does nothing to women.

Honestly if it was pre war Harry he would be very upset over this. But he kind of just accepts that they were drugging him as well as lying to him for years. He just sighed. "Yeah, I'm not too surprised that the headmaster would do that." Hermione though looked at him like he had a fish as a head. But just gaped at him, not really speaking.

"You honestly believe that there are no teenage pregnancies because they were all smart?" Harry responded to her look with a smirk.

Which got Hermione to close her mouth but she still seemed upset at the idea of being drugged. Harry was too but they already found out that they got drugged most of their later years of Hogwarts with those love potions. It wasn't ok but considering what kind of draughts they were, it made it better.

The conversation continued with Hermione slowly losing her hostility, and back to adding in her own insights and wants.

It wasn't until half past noon that they wrapped up the exhausted meeting. "You could have warned us that this would have taken almost three hours." Harry complained as he stretched out his muscles standing behind his chair.

"You didn't warn me you would completely abandon contract norms and essentially write your own." Ted shot back stretching out his writing hand.

"Who knew the wizarding world is so backwards." Hermione shot out.

"As a muggleborn I agree, but also as an adult I should warn you. Greater fights have broken out to lesser jabs at people's way of life. Please watch what you say around others." Ted warned Hermione with all sincerity.

She only gave him a nod as Harry held out an arm for her to loop around. "Lunch?" He asked simply.

"Please!" She said as Ted's own stomach growled.

"That's a great idea." He said with a slight embarrassment in his voice.

"Thank you Ted, let us know when the meeting with Greengrass is. And if at all possible please let him know we will be walking away with a signed contract. I have no doubt about that." Harry said, holding out his off hand to give a handshake.

Ted took it. "Rest up. The actual contract meetings tend to go on for a long time, and emotions tend to be high. Don't act smugly, but don't be a pushover." Ted gave parting advice.

Harry nodded and bid farewell as the pair left, not seeing Tonks outside which probably was a good thing as she would have teased them some more.

"Back home and let the elves cook for us?" Hermione asked.

"Are you just saying that so you can read some more?" He asked with a smile.

"Well it is now. I was gonna say I wanted privacy to make sure you know I'm your first wife and why. But books, we can read." She said with a smirk.

Harry scoffed, not fully believing her. "Tonks teasing really riled you up huh?"

As they walked into an alley to apparate away, she leaned in close. "I guess you will never know." She whispered into his ear. And with a groan from Harry and a pop from the two they were back at the entrance in Potter manor.
