"Okay, training's over," said Mr. Murdock. "You're excused for the day. Just stop by the classroom, there'll be sheets with schedules, important dates and the school curriculum. At least I'm assuming, considering I can't actually read it."

He brought up his cane in front of Peter's chest, stopping him in his tracks, "Head over to the infirmary and fix that arm. Tomorrow's training will be even tougher, you'll need to be the best possible condition." He hands the infirmary pass to the boy and leaves.

As Matt walked away from the students, the Blind Hero found his suspicious heartbeat as he passed a thicket beside the gym. "Stark..." The blind hero said, smelling cheeseburger and a well-washed suit. "Get fired on the first day?"

"Hey Red, how long did you..." Tony said, getting up from behind the bush. "I just had a free period on the first day, and figured I'd watch my colleagues in action, maybe pick up a teaching tip or two."

"And you felt the need to hide?" The lawyer turned instructor looked in the direction of Tony's voice.

"Well, you know how it is," Tony shrugged. "Professional life, autographs, it gets exhausting. I don't know how you maintain your secret identity..." He tried to disguise it, but his racing heart gave him away.

"Okay, you can cut the litany," said Murdock, getting fed up. "This is about the kid, right? Parker, the one you had working for you at the gym." He can smell the sweat rolling down Tony's forehead.

"Oh, you remembered him, huh?" Asked Tony.

"I recognized his voice the moment I heard him speak," Matt continued. "He's the same kid who was messing with the Tracksuits last summer. What's your interest in him?"

Tony sighed, "Look, if you know who he is, then you know why I'm keeping an eye on him. You remember what else happened last summer..."

Murdock was silent, vividly recalling the night Ben Parker died, and the circumstances regarding the capture of his killer.

"He's a good kid, but he needs direction. Otherwise I'm worried he'll go and do something reckless," Tony added. "I know you think the same thing. Why else didn't you turn him in after that little stunt at the warehouse, or with that building fire?"

Murdock listened to Tony's pulse, everything he just said was genuine. But he had the feeling there was something more to it.

"I'm not saying you're wrong," Matt began. "But it's too early to start playing favorites. You're a teacher now, that means there's more than one kid to take care of. Get me?" And he left his colleague behind to ponder his words.

Upon leaving the large glass building, all first-year students had been released for the day; the routine classes didn't start until the next day. Peter was walking tiredly after visiting the Night Nurse.

"It's a side effect of my Quirk, she had explained. It stimulates the natural regeneration process of a person and it consumes their energy. But if I use it a lot on the same person, it could lead to a coma, or death."

"It can kill me!?" Peter was understandably unnerved by this news.

"Just calm down, Peter," she wraps the healed wrist and looks into his eyes. "This is why I said to start understanding your Quirk and your limits better. There aren't many heroes out there with healing Quirks... You need to learn to take care of yourself."

He was taken out of his self reflection when he came across the two blondes he'd met in the morning. "Danny? Gwen?" M

They both turn to the boy, Danny with his neutral expression and Gwen smiling broadly.

"Is your arm better?" Asked Danny.

"Oh, yeah! Thanks to the Night Nurse!" Peter replied, showing his wrist.

"But you know, that was amazing what you did! You threw the rope and spun it and it was ZOOOOOOM!!!" Gwen exclaimed euphorically as she swirled around, making the sound for the ball launch.

"It was quite ingenious," Danny added, giving him a friendly smile. As the trio walked, they heard a voice from behind.

"Hey! You three!" They turn to see Wanda running to catch up. "Are you going to the bus station? Wait for me!"

"Hey Wanda! Sure thing," Peter replied.

"Wow, you're the girl who went to infinity!" Gwen said excitedly, her hands on her cheeks.

"My name is Wanda Maximoff!" She stopped in front of the trio, "I already know Peter, but you two are Danny Rand, and Gwendolyn Poole, right?"

"Yes, that's correct," Danny answered serenely.

"You can just call me 'Gwen'," the girl replied, before pausing. "Wait, how do you already know Peter?"

"Oh! We met during the Entrance Exam, and... once before," Peter said vaguely, looking away slightly.

"We sort of wound up saving each other, in more ways than one," Wanda smiled gently at the boy, who turned and smiled back, a bit reassured.

"Awwwww, I ship it!!!" Gwen screamed, taking the two and cartoonishly pushing them closer, making them both blush.

Soon, the four walked toward Broadway-Lafayette station, with Wanda saying that her brother had gone out with some friends and would meet her at home later. This started everyone else talking and sharing a little about each other. Where they lived, with whom they lived, but mostly talking about the incredible Quirks they'd witnessed that day. Peter personally celebrated such a small but important victory of making friends, even if they had their eccentricities.

- The M.A superhero course curriculum has several mandatory classes in the morning, like Literature -

"'To Kill a Mockingbird' is one of the most important works of American literature. Written by Harper Lee and published in 1960..." Professor Piotr Rasputin monologued before the class.

This was the Metal Hero known as Colossus; a giant of a man over two meters tall with huge muscles. He had a squared face, light skin, a wide nose, dark brown eyes, and short brown hair in a military cut. A lover of the arts and Professor of Literature, the subject didn't just make the class sleep so much because of his heavy Russian accent...

- Math -

"The numerical sets are separated into: a) Natural b) Integers c) Rational and d) Irrational ..." A smooth, robotic voice spoke to the class.

The Professor was the Cyber Hero, Vision; the former artificial intelligence of Iron Man known as J.A.R.V.I.S, transposed into an android with diverse skills. Who better to be a math teacher? His green body simulated that of an adult male's, with some pieces in yellow, since he did not need clothes, such as a cape with a collar and a belt, and his face was red with a yellow stone in the center of his forehead, theorized to be his power source.

- And English -

"Ok, evolved monkeys," the English teacher was, to everyone's surprise, Deadpool. He starts talking as he writes a few sentences on the blackboard. "Which one is incorrect?"

He was answered only with silence from students, confused by either subject or the fact that he'd been allowed to teach. "Look, just so you know, I have a degree in English okay? And it was very expensive…"

"The incorrect one is number four," answered the student at desk 13; Azari. "There is a pronoun used incorrectly."

"Wrong!" Deadpool exclaimed pointing his finger accusingly at the boy. But he quickly pulled some papers from his pouch, took a look at them and pointed again at the boy. "Correct! So, as everyone can see..."

(It's no surprise when we found out that another teacher was writing the class plans for Deadpool).

- Then we had lunch in the main cafeteria, where you can buy food at reasonable prices. -

The main cafeteria was certainly large; a wide space with huge windows on the side walls that gave the view to the nature present on the outside, used a lot by students with Quirks connected to nature or people looking for a quiet place to read a book. Several tables with ten available chairs were spread and separated by walls with some bushes at the top. But what impressed the students the most was the head of the meals.

"And every Tuesday we will have a buffet of tacos, the first taco being free," said the soft, robotic voice of reformed villain of the Avengers: Ultron.

Apparently, after his last defeat, it had been reprogrammed to become a chef, with his body reduced to thinner and more fragile parts and his head covered with a chef's hat. However it still slightly unnerved Peter, Wanda and even Danny, who just wanted to eat without the possibility of the robot losing control and attacking.

"Mmmm!! Thanks, scrappy!" Said Gwen with her mouth full of pizza. It figures, she wouldn't be scared of it.

- Then, in the afternoon, finally, Basic Hero Training. -

"Greetings Class 1-A!" A modified voice called out. And Iron Man himself, floating in thanks to his thrusters, entered the room.

"Wow, it's really Iron Man!" Pietro said ecstatically to one of his colleagues.

"Amazing! He's really a teacher!" One of the boys in the class replied. He was tall with Asian features, with fair skin and tight eyes. His black hair was neatly combed in a tuft.

"I am Groot!" Exclaimed the excited treant teenager, looking at the hero in fascination.

"That's an older armor, isn't it?" Gwen asked Wanda, who was sitting a seat away, but shrugged due to not being sure.

"Yeah, it's the Mark XVII, also called the 'Heartbreaker'," Peter noted, observing the silver details and the more robust chest.

"Nerd..." Commented a sullen Flash, although he too recognized the armor.

"Prick..." Peter muttered back.

"Alright kids, settle down," said the hero. "Yes! I will be running the basics for superhero training!" He placed himself behind the teacher's desk. "It's a subject where the different ways of being a superhero are taught. Most credits are earned here. I know it seems a bit obvious, but it was the Principal who asked me to say this... But enough chit chat! We're starting off right in the deep end: Combat Training!"

"Combat..." said Flash, looking a bit too excited.

"...Training," Peter finished, a bit apprehensive of the boy's reaction in front of him.

"Also, to go with the class, we have this!" Iron Man pressed a button which opens the classroom wall to his right. Horizontal compartments begin to emerge, four in total, each containing five suitcases. They were numbered from 1 to 20, representing each person's seat.

"Costumes based on your Quirk and the specifications sent before classes!" Said the hero. "A gift from Stark Industries!!"

"Whoa!!!" The whole class was excited about having their own hero costumes, some prepared with such dedication for that moment.

Peter reflected on the various drawings he had done since he gained his Quirk. "Alright, after you change, get together in the Beta Yard!" Iron Man announced, receiving and a collective 'Yes' from all students.
