Warning for this chapter. There is an assault scene with Akemi and Tasuke which could be too much for some. Please read at your own discretion or skip that part or this chapter entirely if you must.

With that said, majority of this chapter is focused on Shōto and his visit to Fuyumi and Keigo's place. I did also include Fuyumi and Keigo's kids that I've written about in my Huwumi fics, so you can check those out if you're ever interested.

Shōto was pulled from his sleep when he heard tiny giggles followed by what sounded like Fuyumi's stern voice, but he didn't hear what she was saying, only that she sounded unimpressed.

When he finally opened his eyes he saw two sets of wings running away, carefree laughter following them.

Was he still asleep?

He brushed a hand over his face to rub the sleepiness away but there was something strange about how his skin felt. And it wasn't just his face, he sat up from his spot on the couch and inspected his hands and arms now too. He was covered in stickers. Some glittery and some iridescent.

Colourful stickers and tiny childlike laughter. He put two and two together and Fuyumi's stern voice confirmed his suspicions.

"Girls, now you've woken up your uncle."

"We were just playing, mommy." Reika, who had red wings just like her father, Keigo, answered.

"We don't disturb people when they're trying to sleep." Fuyumi now walked over to them from the kitchen.

Oh yes, he remembered now. He was visiting Fuyumi for the weekend, he came back really late from Momo's place last night and ended up falling asleep on the couch, too tired to make it to the room he was using.

And now it seemed that Fuyumi's daughters took it upon themselves to decorate him. Now that he was properly awake he looked over them. Most of the ones on his arms were glittery stars and wands. He also checked his phone, it was going to nine a.m.

"We're sorry Uncle Shōto," they said in unison.

Even though the twins were five years old now, it still sometimes felt strange that he was an uncle. Not that he didn't like it, on the contrary he loved spending time with his nieces. And more than anything, he loved that they got the childhood that he and his siblings never had. Running around the house carefree and covering whoever dared to fall asleep on the couch in the domain of two kids was something that never could've been done in his and his siblings childhood home.

Seeing them so happy gave him even more motivation as a hero, to protect their smiles and the happiness of his older sister who finally got her happy ending.

Finding out that she was dating Hawks all those years ago didn't really surprise him, he'd even been happy for her. Fast forward to now and they were married with twins who brought so much joy back into the Todoroki household. Reika, who was born a four minutes before her sister, had Keigo's Fierce Wings and his golden eyes but long white hair like their grandmother. Harumi had Fuyumi's eyes and sandy blonde hair like Keigo's. Her wings were a combination of Fuyumi and Keigo's quirks. Something new entirely, a pair of white wings, cold to the touch called Gelid Wings.

He looked into their eyes, both of them looking genuinely apologetic and ruffled their hair.

"Don't worry about it." he chuckled, "Although..." he picked them both up and hauled them over his shoulders, one on each side. Reika and Harumi laughed in excitement.

"I think you should get a sign and put it up in the living room." he turned to face his sister who couldn't help but laugh as well, as Shōto walked around the table and around the couch, making sure to move and slowly spin around as much as possible with the girls still laughing and flailing over his shoulders.

"I think you're right."

"Beware of tiny munchkins who decorate all who sleep on the couch." he smiled and did one more trip around the couch before putting the girls back down.

"Poor Keigo's been decorated more times than he'd admit after falling asleep on the couch so often." Fuyumi fondly remembered those moments.

"Where is he by the way?"

"He had to stop by his agency pretty early this morning. He was gone by the time I woke up. I was hoping to have breakfast ready by the time he got back, but it looks like I'll have to make a grocery run first."

"I can go if you want." Shōto offered.

"Thanks, but I don't mind, you came back pretty late, you should rest some more. And then maybe later you can tell me about your poolside date." she teased while getting her keys. When she woke up to get ready, Fuyumi had seen his swim trunks in the bathroom.

"It's not like that, nee-san." he rubbed the back of his neck and looked away, hoping she didn't see the slight blush on his cheeks. Memories from last night returned to him. Before Momo told him everything that happened with her father, their playful energy turned to something a little more intimate.

"So you say." Fuyumi winked then headed to the door. The girls insisted on going with their mother to the store which meant it took an extra ten minutes for all of them to leave the house.

"You gonna be alright here by yourself?"

"You do realise I'm in my twenties, right?" Shōto asked sarcastically.

"Okay, Mr 'in your twenties', you might want to take the dinosaur stickers off your face." she playfully teased back before finally leaving with the girls.

Shōto went to check his reflection in the bathroom mirror. There were more stickers than he thought and his sister was right, all the ones on his face and neck were dinosaur stickers while the ones on his arms were an assortment of colourful shiny ones.

Were they into dinosaurs now? He smiled as he began peeling them off his face, the 3D T-Rex sticker on his left cheek was a little more stubborn to get off. The last time he'd visited Fuyumi which was roughly a month ago, Harumi and Reika were obsessed with superheroes, although he supposed that bias came from the fact that there are heroes in the family. And the month before that it was magical kingdoms and princesses.

Shōto found it cute how their interests seemed to change from month to month. At least they were never bored.

Now that he was sticker free and had the house to himself, Shōto went back to the couch to relax.

Akemi walked into the luxurious Fuji home and made her way to Tasuke's room. She'd been over plenty of times and knew the whole estate like the back of her hand. Tasuke looked pretty upset after the result of the hearing went in Momo's favour.

All the work he'd put into tearing her down to force her join his side had amounted to nothing. Not to mention the time limit of his quirk was getting ever closer, people would return to normal and his attempts would fade away further still. There was no way he'd take that lightly, and that's why Akemi came over. To check on him but also cheer him up if he needed that.

When she stepped into his room though, she wasn't ready for what she saw.

Alcohol bottles and cans everywhere, the smell was choking. The curtains were still drawn shut and Tasuke himself was sprawled out in the middle of his bed hopefully asleep and not unconscious.

She walked closer to the bed and could see dark circles under his eyes. He clearly hadn't slept at all and had only recently fallen asleep. Akemi put her bag down and sighed. The first thing she did was open the curtains which was immediately met by a groan from Tasuke who rolled over and covered his eyes.

"Tasuke, you need to get up." She opened the windows as well to get the overwhelming alcohol smell out. "How much did you drink last night?" she looked around the now brighter room and saw even more cans, some peeking out from under the bed.

"...most of it… this morning..." he sat up groggily.

"It is this morning." she leaned against his study desk, arms folded.

"I drank past midnight, okay!" he snapped then forced his eyes shut, a painful headache made his head throb when he raised his voice.

Tasuke sighed and got off the bed when he saw Akemi flinch. "Sorry, babe. I didn't mean to yell." he massaged his temples, "I'm just stressed out. My first plan to get Momo didn't work, but I'll think of something else. Something that will really force her to see things my way." he walked around his room looking for hopefully an unopened can of something. "I want her so fucking bad I can't stand it." lucky for him he found a can that had ended up under the curtains. Just as he was about to open it, Akemi stopped him.

"What do you think you're doing?" he reached for the can which she pulled away further.

"You can't seriously be trying to drink again. It's not even ten a.m. yet."

"What's your point?" he snatched it from her, opened, and downed it. "I didn't ask you to come over so you don't get to tell me what to do, especially not in my own bedroom." he threw the empty can to the other side of the room. He turned away from her and drunkenly walked over to his computer. "I'm sure dad has some contacts… legal or otherwise that I could use to help me out. Too bad she's an only child." he hiccuped.

"Are you going to threaten her?" Akemi asked, not hiding the shock or concern on her face.

"And if I said yes? What do you care?" he glared at her dangerously, Akemi couldn't meet his gaze.

"Tasuke, you've had way too much to drink. You can't honestly think that's a good idea."

"Any idea that gets me what I want is a good idea. Why are you being so bitchy? You scared I'm gonna drop you for her?" he moved away from the computer and made his way over to her.

Akemi backed away from him. He wasn't always like this when he was hungover, but sometimes he did get scary to be around.

This was one of those times.

"You don't have to worry baby, I won't let you go." he tightly wrapped his arms around her, "Hell I'll even fuck you both at the same time if that's what you want." he pressed his lips to her ear, smiling as he spoke. His hands began to roam her body.

"Tasuke, stop." she tried to force his hands off her but he was too strong.

"What's wrong, Akemi? You came to check on me, right? Isn't that why you're here?"

"Yes because I was worried, I'm not here for sex."

"Oh, baby, but that's why you always come over." he grabbed a fistful of her hair, "All you really care about is my dick, right? Well I can give you what you want right now." he began to kiss and suck on her neck, ignoring her attempts to push him off.

He hated how much everything was falling apart, but at least he could use Akemi as a pick-me-up.

She dug her fingers into his skin to get him to stop, but that only egged him on further. His hands slipped beneath her dress.

"Tasuke, you're hurting me!" she continued to struggled against him, tears rushing down her face. But he wasn't listening.

He crashed his lips into hers, the familiar ache between his legs urging him to continue. But that's when Akemi struggled the most, beating on his chest and trying to get away from him.

"Tasuke, stop! Please!" she'd barely finished speaking when Tasuke dropped his hands. Akemi fell back and landed on the bed, gasping for air and shaking. She looked up at him through teary eyes and saw she'd managed to scratch his cheek.

Akemi shut her eyes, bracing for what she assumed would be Tasuke's violent retaliation. But after a few seconds, nothing.

When she opened her eyes, Akemi saw Tasuke walk over to his closet and put on a dark brown hoodie and a pair of jeans then walk out of his room. He didn't even spare her a glance.

Once Tasuke's footsteps faded away, Akemi sat upright and smoothed over her dress. Her hands were still shaking and she was gasping for air as if she'd been suffocated.

She curled into a ball and cried her eyes out. The Tasuke she knew for so long was gone. In all their years together he'd never gone that far before, hurting her even when she pleaded with him multiple times to stop.

And yes his first plan to isolate Momo had been appalling, but after finding him in a drunk rage like this, she was terrified to find out what he'd try next. And who he'd drag down to make sure it happened.

After calming herself down and rinsing off her face in the bathroom, Akemi made up her mind.

While she still cared about Tasuke, even though she was afraid of him now, she knew she couldn't let this madness continue.

She couldn't let just sit back and watch Momo be subjected to his obsession anymore.

She had to do something.

She had to warn Momo.

Fuyumi had just gotten the last of the groceries, her daughters had helped out. Enjoying dropping things in the trolley as they moved from aisle to aisle. Just when Fuyumi thought they were done, Harumi and Reika begged her to go to the toy section before going home.

Fuyumi gave in and they all made their way over. She could already tell they wanted to replenish their sticker collection since they'd used so many on Shōto already.

They'd passed by a butterfly pack, a flowers pack and the very same dino pack they had back home.

Reika was showing Fuyumi a set with different types of birds in it while Harumi wandered off further down the aisle where the dolls were.

The one that caught her attention was a doll that was dressed as a vet. She had on a lab coat and a pink stethoscope. The accessories that came with it was different kinds of vet equipment and even a puppy that would be the 'patient.' Harumi reached up to get a closer look at it, hoping she could convince her mom to get it for her birthday.

Just as Harumi touched the box, someone else's hand landed on it as well. An adult hand.

Harumi turned to see an older man wearing a dark brown hoodie. She couldn't see his face very well because his hood was up but his grip on the box was tight.

"Oh, I'm sorry, did you want to see this too?" he brought the box down and kneeled in front of her, presenting the box to her.

He finally looked up, sharp eyes looked into her young ones. Harumi felt scared. She didn't take the box from him.

"I didn't mean to scare you, tell you what, how about I buy this for you?" he tried to look friendly by smiling, but he gave off an energy even a child could tell was bad.

Harumi tried to take a step back but he reached out to her. Before he could touch her shoulder, the man recoiled and stood up, securing his hood over his head.

"Harumi," Fuyumi rushed over to her side, Reika holding her hand. Alarmed that she'd run off, Fuyumi immediately went into high alert seeing the man trying to talk to her. As soon as she approached them, the reek of alcohol flooded her senses.

The man turned to leave before she could tell him to go. Fuyumi caught a glimpse of his face before he disappeared completely.

"Haru, don't wander off like that, okay?" she brushed through her daughter's hair. "Are you okay? Did he try to talk to you?"

Harumi could only shake her head before she started crying and wrapped her small around around Fuyumi.

"He scared me." she sobbed into her mother's chest. Fuyumi hugged her close and tried to calm her down.

When they finally made it back home, Fuyumi explained the whole encounter to Shōto. The second they made it through the door, Harumi ran to Shōto, seeking comfort. He picked her up and held her close. Keigo arrived a few minutes after them.

"Is she okay?" Keigo asked and went to check on her, still holding on tightly to her uncle.

"He didn't touch her or anything, thank goodness, but she's still afraid. It didn't seem like he was shopping for a child. It felt like he was there specifically to talk to Haru."

"And you don't remember what he looks like?" Keigo picked up Reika who asked to be held.

"He definitely didn't want to be seen, I only saw his face for a few seconds. He looked oddly familiar though, but I can't place him."

Shōto felt uneasy with this information. It was on thing for him and his friends to have creepy encounters, it came with the territory of being a hero. There was always someone watching and hoping for something bad to happen to them, but when family and friends got dragged into it, that was something he would not tolerate.

After having breakfast together, Fuyumi was building a puzzle with the girls in the living room while Shōto and Keigo washed and put away the dishes, the tv was playing in the background.

It was on the news channel, stories from the previous day were being discussed.

Fuyumi's surprised gasp made everyone stop. Shōto and Keigo stopped with the dishes and rushed to join her.

"Fuyumi, what's wrong?"

"It was him…" she started, eyes glued to the tv. The current story being discussed was Momo's hearing from yesterday. A clip from the hearing was playing while the news anchors gave their opinions on it. "I knew he looked familiar..."

"Nee-san, what are you—

"It was Tasuke at the store just now."

Shōto's blood ran cold in his veins. He kneeled next to where his sister sat to be on eye level with her.

"Are you sure? Are you absolutely sure it was him?" His alarmed voice asked his older sister.

"Without a doubt. He looked a mess like he hadn't slept at all, and he reeked of alcohol, but I'm sure it was his face I saw."

That son of a bitch!

Shōto clenched his fist. He'd had enough. He swiftly stood up and headed to the door, not even turning back when Fuyumi asked where he was going.

Xxx

"How does it feel being back on patrol?" Tenya walked side-by-side with Momo who was finally allowed back to work since her hearing had concluded.

"Strange and yet somehow the same. It's been so long since I've been out here yet it feels like nothing's changed. It does sort of feel like everyone's watching me though, after everything that's happened."

"You'll be back to normal in no time. After one high stakes, potentially life-threatening mission, you'll forget this whole thing ever happened." he joked.

"Can't wait." Momo playfully rolled her eyes and laughed.

Momo's phone rang not long after.

"Shōto..."

"Are you home right now?" he jumped straight to the point.

"No, I'm with Tenya. We just finished patrol, we're near our usual breakfast spot. Is something wrong?" She turned to Tenya, the concern on her face clear.

"We need to talk."

A few minutes later, Shōto arrived to pick them up. Tenya's family agency was the closest so he drove them there and Tenya showed them to a private office where they could talk freely.

Once inside the large office and certain no one would disturb them, Shōto told them everything about Fuyumi's encounter at the store.

"Tasuke did that?" Momo was shocked.

"Is Harumi okay?" Tenya asked.

"She's still kind of spooked, but otherwise she's fine. He didn't touch her, at least." Shōto could barely hold back his anger.

"That doesn't make any sense. The Fuji are one of the richest families in the country, what would he be doing in a normal grocery store?"

"Fuyumi said he reeked of alcohol. Maybe he wasn't in his right mind when he left home." Shōto explained. "He probably stumbled onto them by accident, but still. What would that bastard have done if Fuyumi hadn't noticed Haru had wondered off?" the thought made him sick to his stomach.

"Tasuke might be getting desperate. Widening the net of who he can use to get to Momo. He'd never stand a chance against Shōto directly, maybe this is his next move." Tenya pondered.

"Whatever he's trying to do, it ends now. We've been on defensive for too long. It's time someone dealt with him directly."

Xxx

Shōto's words lingered on her mind when she made it home. Confronting Tasuke directly could put an end to all of this, but something just didn't feel right.

Her phone ringing distracted her from her thoughts. The person calling her had her genuinely surprised. Momo stared at her screen, wondering if she should answer the call from her father.

What could he possibly say to her now? There was no way he'd apologise and Momo wasn't in the mood to hear whatever he had to say. There was already too much going on in her life. Momo let her phone ring until it stopped. If he wanted to talk, he'd have to wait until she was ready.

A few seconds later, her phone buzzed. A new message sent to her. A message on one of her social media accounts.

Okay this definitely couldn't be from her father. Momo clicked the message icon and began reading.

Her brows raised in surprise. The message was short and simple.

"Yaoyorozu-san, I really need to speak to you about Tasuke. It's urgent."

The DM came from Akemi's verified account.

And that's ch10 done. We've reached a turning point of sorts. Stakes are getting higher, emotions all over the place and Tasuke is slowly losing it. But there's still quite a ways to go and things to happen. So I hope you're ready for more! Hope you enjoyed the chapter, and let me know what you think.

Well that's it from me-

Until the next chapter:
