A Magical Past

Glimmer stood in the middle of the royal garden with one of her aunt's scrolls and her staff. She carefully read the piece of paper in hopes of performing the spell as it showed. However, some of the instructions made her wonder if being cryptic was part of being a sorceress. She turned the scroll, wondering if there was a hidden message made by special ink, but Glimmer had no luck.

"Okay, let's do this." Glimmer stretched out her hand focusing her power on the tips of her fingers.

Glimmer spun her arm in a circle, leaving a glittering trail. Narrowing her eyes as she looked at the scroll once more, she repeated the action over and over again. But instead of creating a magical glyph like she'd seen her aunt perform, the princess of Brightmoon just made some glimmering circles in the air.

"Damn it!" Glimmer blasted a glimmering blast through one of the circles. "What am I doing wrong?!" She sat crossed-legged going over the scroll once more.

"You know, your dad had a similar expression when he didn't get something going his way." Castaspella walked up to her niece. "I see you started without me."

"Aunt Cass, yeah. Um, sorry, I thought I'd get a headstart on this scroll. But I've read it like a hundred times and I'm no closer to getting it right." Glimmer tossed the scroll away in frustration.

Castaspella smirked with first hand experience with the scrolls. And their scribbles.

"Yeah, I had a similar experience back when I started." Castaspella knelt next to Glimmer. "Many of the scrolls are vague because a lot is passed down orally and life experience."

"So what am I doing wrong?" Glimmer asked.

"First off, you need to visualize the glyph you wish to manifest and for that you'll need to get a clear image of what you want. As a princess, your powers have always been straightforward and easy to use, now you have to see your power as something that can change to your will." Castaspella explained, drawing a glyph circle in the air. "Secondly, a trick is to let the magic flow naturally, and only be given form once you get the picture."

Glimmer moved her head to the side, not understanding what her aunt was saying.

"Um, think of it like drawing a painting when the inspiration strikes you but the painting supplies are all around you. Don't think about the whole glyph as one large thing, try to make one bit of it at a time." Castaspella drew her glyph circle in the air, slowly at first, showing her niece each step at a time. "Now you try."

Glimmer stood back up, stretching her arm once more. Closing her eyes and letting her magic flow through her, she slowly drew her first glyph. She opened her eyes seeing her first glyph, a pink slit eye with two spinning blades with markings around it.

"I-I did it!" Glimmer cheered only for the glyph to dissipate.

"Congratulations, Glimmer! A mystic eye glyph, those are rare!" Castaspella hugged Glimmer. "I've only seen this with your dad and-Oh nevermind, let's continue with your training."

Glimmer looked at her aunt, knowing that her aunt was actually trying to avoid talking about her father and Shigaraki. She wanted to know the story behind the apparent hatred that existed between them. But she wanted to focus on learning more about magic before touching that subject. With her staff by her side, Glimmer followed her aunt's instructions for the next spells she had planned on teaching her.

Glimmer and Castaspella continued going through the different spells that Castaspella had brought with her. Each time they tried a spell, it was a struggle with Glimmer not understanding the reason for the steps for the spell or the scrolls being way too vague on what to use.

"Okay, let's try an illusion smoke spell," Castaspella said, drawing a glyph in the air that transformed her into a copy of Glimmer.

Glimmer created her glyph once more, bringing out smoke from it. She now stood there as a version of Catra that looked more at home in an amusement park made by a six-year old.

"I think I'm missing something." Glimmer undid the illusion.

"Don't just think about the person or object that you're casting an illusion of, delve more into who they are. Imagine you're having a conversation with them or remember what they're like from your memories." Castaspella suggested, transforming into Angella. "Glimmer, you must see to all my family being lovers of all things pink and sparkly."

Glimmer chuckled, focusing on a memory of Catra and herself, creating another illusion of Catra. Only this one showed Catra in the swimsuit that she wore back on Mystacor. Glimmer covered herself, blushing in embarrassment as Castaspella raised an eyebrow at her choice.

"Um, let's try another spell." Glimmer chuckled, covering her blush.

Castaspella moved on to the next spell, a levitating spell. She created her spell glyph underneath her feet. She stepped on the glyph before she walked up into the air.

"Now, this spell is mostly used to move and pull objects and other stuff around us, but if used on yourself it can be used to be as close to flying as most sorcerers can do." Castaspella hopped down to the ground under her feet.

Glimmer did the same, visualizing how she would be able to levitate but he only managed to make her feet float above her head.

"Maybe we should try levitating objects first." Castaspella pulled Glimmer down to the ground.

The next spell that Castaspella wanted to teach Glimmer was the understanding of spell circles and how they could be used to increase the power of lesser spells.

"Alright, Glimmer, now we're going to combine both spells you've learned today into something much stronger," Castaspella explained as Glimmer looked over the instructions.

Castaspella used her magic to create three different glyphs, connecting them inside a large magical circle. From within her magic circle came a purple pegasus that she controlled.

"Wow! That's awesome!" Glimmer said. "When do I get to do that?!"

"Once you've mastered single spells, magic circles are the next stop, but I think this is a good time to rest up and get back some of our strength." Castaspella dispersed her light construct as she joined Glimmer on the grass.

"This is so awesome. It must've been a great experience learning this sort of stuff back in Mystacor," Glimmer said.

"Well, it can't be beat by learning from your cool magical aunt, mind you. But it was some of the most cherished years of my youth." Castaspella sighed. "Your dad and I both wanted to become the most powerful sorcerers of the order and worked our butts off to make it to the top."

Glimmer noted the sad yet happy tone in her aunt's voice. It was the same nostalgic tone that her mother sometimes spoke about her father. She wanted to know more about her father but her mother always found it too hard to talk about, but now she had the second best person to ask. She tightened her grip on her staff, arming herself with valor before turning to face her aunt.

"Aunt Cass, what was my dad like?" Glimmer asked.

Castaspella looked at the tower where the Throne Room was located. She grew a smile as she started to remember her brother.

"My brother, your father, Micah, was one of the most gifted young sorcerer apprentices of his generation. He had a natural gift to use magic in such a way that most could only dream of, but he was humble enough to practice and to become better." Castaspella smiled. "If he was the one teaching you, you'd already be a very powerful sorceress. I had to train harder and smarter, usually trying ten times to get the spell right."

"That's how you came up with all those tricks to help me learn those spells?" Glimmer asked.

"Yep, my old mentor, Orko, helped me learn how to use these tricks and smart changes to catch up." Castaspella's smile dropped. "But Micah wasn't satisfied with the speed that he was growing. He thought that could grow faster if he had another mentor that didn't hesitate to challenge the limits of magic. He set his sights on who would be the next head of Mystacor's Sorcerers, Light Spinners."

"Shadow Weaver." Glimmer growled. "How could she be part of Mystacor along with Shigaraki? Those two are monsters."

"They weren't so much monsters as they were dangerous and hungry for power and control," Castaspella said, remembering those days. "Your mother wouldn't want me telling you these things."

"But I have a right to know." Glimmer stood back up. "My dad had some connection to Shigaraki and Shadow Weaver. I need to know what it is."

"It's not something we like remembering, Glimmer."

Glimmer and Castaspella turned to see Queen Angella walking towards them.

"Angella." Castaspella bowed.

"Mom," Glimmer said.

"Glimmer, what you're asking about, once you learn the truth, you can't ignore it. Are you sure you want to hear the story?" Angella asked.

Glimmer nodded, not backing down from what could be a shocking part of her father's life.

"Castaspella, please." Angella gestured.

"Yeah, it only seems appropriate that I tell the story. It all happened many years ago, before the war began and before the Alliance was formed. Micah and I had just started our second year in Mystacor when it happened."

Flashback

The halls of Mystacor were full of magical students each going to their classes, comparing notes, talking to each other, while others were trying to put their new spells to the test. Despite the school they were attending, many of the students were young and thus liked to have some fun. It was not a weird sight as some teachers were making sure the students didn't loiter around without a good reason, but even amidst this sea of tranquility there were one or two troublemakers running around.

The first of those troublemakers was a young boy with black hair tied in a bun, fair skin, dark eyes, and a cocky grin. He wore a white shirt with light purple shoulder pads and forearm bands, purple pants, a golden belt with a crescent moon buckle and a pair of yellow shoes. This was the young sorcerer apprentice Micah.

"Faster Cass, or we'll miss it!" Micah ran through the halls.

Behind him ran his younger sister, a young Castaspella with long black hair, with fair skin and dark eyes. She wore a light purple dress with a short blue hood, white shoes, golden bracelets and golden lining around her hood.

"You mean, you'll miss it. All we'll see is a bunch of show offs!" Castaspella replied, running after her brother.

"They're not show offs! They're being taught by one of the greatest sorcerers that's ever lived!" Micah took a turn before bumping into someone causing some scrolls to fall to the floor.

"Oh one of the 'greatest sorcerers', huh? I didn't know I was teaching a class right now." A somewhat joking voice chuckled.

The owner of the voice was a small floating sorcerer dressed in a red tunic with a red scarf, a purple pointy hat and a golden necklace on his chest with the symbol of Mystacor on it. He had red eyes, pointy blue ears and blue hands, but his face remained obscured from sight.

"Master Orko, we're so sorry!" Castaspella helped the sorcerer pick up the scrolls.

"Yeah, sorry. I wasn't paying attention." Micah chuckled.

"Oh that's alright, children. I was young once. Still am at heart." Orko snapped his fingers making the scrolls hover with a blue aura. "As for who you're going to see, is it Light Spinner?"

"Sadly." Castaspella crossed her arms.

"You're just still sour that she declined teaching you?" Micah asked.

"Not as nicely as you put it, but yeah." Casstaspella looked away in annoyance.

"Well, she did ask me to get her these scrolls, let's go together then." Orko created his magical glyph above himself and the two students before it teleported them in a flash of light.

Orko, Castaspella and Micah appeared outside the school where the teacher they were looking for was teaching some of her students.

Light Spinner was a far cry from what the dark witch that she was in the present. She had slightly green skin, long black hair, pointy ears, a bloody purple veil covering half of her face, showing her deep emerald eyes. She wore a purple shirt with the same shoulder pads that Micah and the other students wore, only hers had brighter gold lining, a long purple skirt that covered her legs completely. She carried herself with pride as she observed her students perform the spells she was instructing. Much like a strict teacher wanting to pressure her students into diamond, she studied them with surgical precision.

"Remember, magic is an extension of your bodies, minds and spirits. By following the flow of that power, you will be able to bend it to your will and accomplish great things." Light Spinner watched as her students created several light avatars in the air.

Amongst the different avatars created from the students there were all impressive creatures ranging from fishes, to birds, to land animals imbued with magical auras and colors. But amongst all of them there was a large purple octopus created by a young frail-looking child with black hair and a purple uniform with brown pants and black shoes.

Light Spinner looked at the boy and then to the other students, looking for those that would do the next step.

"But sometimes, great things require to be forged by trials and challenges." Light Spinner looked at the frail-looking student with a smile behind her veil.

The frail-looking student turned his gaze towards the other avatars, narrowing his eyes. He commanded his avatar to attack, wrapping its purple tentacles around the ones closest to it before going after the other ones. A dark smile grew on his face as he dominated the battle in the sky. Regardless of the other students' attempts at trying to stop him, he was capable of dominating the fight with ease. There was no grace nor reason for it, he was doing this as a show of dominance against his fellow students.

"Well done, Shigaraki. You've come a long way from where you began. But you remember that there is always someone stronger if you slip up." Light Spinner looked over her shoulder at Micah.

Micah smiled, spinning his arms, bringing out his own magic glyph. He summoned a blue ram magic avatar in the sky. With a swift movement, Micah struck down the octopus avatar with one powerful strike.

"Hey, that's not fair! He's not part of the class!" Shigaraki pointed accusingly at Micah. "You swept in after I defeated the rest of the students!"

"Which means I'm better than you," Micah replied.

"He saw an opportunity and took advantage of it. Though your technique could use work, Micah." Light Spinner created her own four-winged bright eagle, shattering Micah's construct. "You need to harness more power if you ever intend to make a fully formed construct out of magic."

"That was a bit harsh, Light Spinner." Orko floated before Light Spinner. "Your students are some of the brightest Mystacor has, but they need a break from time to time. Their avatars were very well crafted for their age. If they keep practicing, they could one day create a construct like this one." Orko created a small green tiger that pounced on Light Spinner's eagle, transforming it into a large picture of Orko giving a thumbs up.

As the other students saw the other teacher's spell, Light Spinner glared at Orko.

"Oh, um, here you go. The scrolls that you asked for." Orko chuckled in embarrassment as he handed her the scrolls.

Light Spinner didn't even thank Orko as she turned her sights to both Micah and Shigaraki as they butted heads and glared at each other. She saw them both as two diamonds in the rough that were hers to mold into the powerful sorcerers that she knew they could be. But only if they followed her strict instructions to the letter, lest they end up like Orko. She walked towards them, ignoring Orko and Castaspella.

"Um, I guess you'll thank me later, or something?" Orko asked to which Castaspella glared at Light Spinner.

Micah and Shigaraki were flinging insults at each other while threatening to beat the other in whatever they were doing.

"You only got lucky that time, I'll teach you what happens to snubs like you, Micah." Shigaraki's hands glowed with magic.

"I'd like to see you try, Shigaraki." Micah summoned a staff from his hands and got ready to fight.

"That's enough, you two." Light Spinner stood between the two young sorcerers. "Pay no mind to the unimportant distractions and focus your efforts on something worth chasing." She placed her hands on their shoulders, calming the two boys down.

Light Spinner was one of the most powerful and accomplished sorcerers that Mystacor had, but her skills to gather support and turn others to her goals was not a magical gift at all.

"Micah, I just heard that you and Shigaraki will be applying to be my personal apprentice. That's very ambitious of you," Light Spinner said. "But you must both realize that I will only take the brightest one under my wing."

"I have proven my abilities every time, Master Light Spinner. I should be the one as your apprentice." Shigaraki stepped up.

"I have more skill in one finger than you have in your whole body." Micah smirked. "I can out-magic you any day in my sleep."

"Enough. I haven't made my decision yet, which is why you both have until the Tri-Lunar Alignment to prove to me which one shall be the one true apprentice I will teach." Light Spinner walked away, leaving the two young sorcerers to their own devices.

Micah and Shigaraki ran off back into the school to start their preparations.

Castaspella and Orko watched the two young sorcerers go on about their quest with worried expressions.

"This is not going to end well," Orko sighed.

"Well, they'll see that I can be better than them." Castaspella huffed.

Micah and Shigaraki went onto their respective classes, while keeping up with each other.

During the first class, they were tasked with summoning an advanced magical glyph that could be used to see through far distances.

Micah went first, drawing his glyph with a good idea of where to look. He summoned his advanced glyph, revealing the sight of a faraway mountain peak. His skills helped him visualize the perfect location that could be admired by his peers.

As the students clapped and praised his actions, Shigaraki went next. The frail-looking did the same glyph summons as Micah, only that instead of looking at a mighty mountain he was watching one of the students doodling on his notebook.

As the class laughed at Shigaraki's poor attempt, Castaspella wrote down the spell steps in her notebook. She summoned a small version of the glyph, but only got static as a result.

In their second class, the students were tasked with creating a charm to counter a curse.

Micah went first once more, feeling like he was on a roll since that morning. He saw the cursed object before him before summoning his glyph with a bright yellow light. He thrusted his glyph at the cursed object, evelopping it in a bright light. However, instead of dispersing the curse, the spell was blasted back to Micah, knocking him back.

Shigaraki snickered at his rival's utter failure before stepping up to try his luck. He channeled magic into his right hand, making it glow purple. He grabbed hold of the cursed object with all five of his fingers touching it. Under the power of his spell, Shigaraki observed how the cursed object crumbled away dissipating the curse.

Castaspella shuddered at the sight of the power that Shigaraki used on a daily basis. She had seen it a few times in the past, but it always scared her to know that Shigaraki could use dark magic with such ease. Shaking off her feelings of dread, she went back to her notes, using a scroll to record everything she could figure out from the cursed object.

By the time the third class of the day came around, the three students were asked by their teacher to create a solid manifestation of a potion.

"Alright, this process has three steps that must be completed at the same time," Castaspella explained. "First, we need to verify the potency of the potion through an alchemical circle. Then we need to use magic to bring the potion through the circle. And finally, we close the circuit, turning the potion into a solid stone."

However, Castaspella was only to be met with the sight of the project being set on fire by Micah and Shigaraki butting heads, again. She yelped as the potion was set on fire by their squabble. She quickly dusted the crystals before using the dust to make the alchemical circle around the potion. She summoned her magical glyph, turning the fire and smoke into a liquid and then into a solid. She let out a sigh of relief as the potion transformed into a solid.

However, before Castaspella could appreciate her work, Shigaraki shattered the solid crystal with his magic.

"Look what you did, Shigaraki!" Micah snapped.

"You mean, I made it better!" Shigaraki growled back.

Castaspella groaned at her two partners before turning away, giving up.

For the rest of the day, Castaspella went about her usual class schedule after helping Orko with some of his chores. She had managed to finish her studies and was then on her way to do her own chores. Which is what led her to cleaning the Moon Sanctuary and the many crystals on its walls. She looked at her own reflection on the crystals as she cleaned them. Smiling at her work, Castaspella noticed something on the reflections on the crystals. She turned to see Light Spinner picking different crystals before leaving.

"What was all that for?" Castaspella shrugging off.

Castaspella put down her broom and followed after Light Spinner. She walked behind the master sorceress, while making sure to keep her distance from the woman. She knew that it wasn't weird or uncommon for sorcerers to ask for a couple lunar crystals for school uses, but none picked them up at this hour of the night. Castaspella couldn't shake the feeling that Light Spinner was doing something that she wasn't going to like.

The young sorceress continued following Light Spinner until she reached her office. But before she could continue, the door was closed and locked in her face. She used a small spell to look at what was going on inside the office, getting a good look of the office. She didn't see anything out of the ordinary at first, but then her eyes landed on a few strange tomes that were on Light Spinner's desk.

"What are those?" Castaspella asked.

"Castaspella, what are you doing here?" Orko asked, causing Castaspella to jump in shock.

"Master Orko, please don't do that!" Castaspella felt her heart jump up to her throat.

"Sorry to spook you, but what are you doing here?" Orko asked.

"O-O-Oh, I'm looking for my brother and I thought he'd be here." Castaspella smiled.

"I thought I saw him in the cafeteria a little while ago," Orko said. "You might find him there."

Castaspella turned to look at Light Spinner's office once more before leaving for the cafeteria to meet up with her brother. She couldn't help but feel like there was something more going on behind the closed doors.

The days passed, getting closer to the Tri-Lunar Alignment, and Castaspella continued her studies while keeping an eye out for both her brother and Light Spinner. She couldn't shake the feeling that something else was going on with the sorceress. But she couldn't confront her without proof or at least a better understanding of what she was doing with the crystals and the tomes. But now she had to focus for the next class that she had to face.

"Students, today we will be having a test to see how far you've come in terms of your education. The art of magical duels is an ancient and well honored tradition to test the skills of the sorcerers young and old." Grand Master Norwyn introduced. "But this is more than just a simple demonstration of our skills, as we have royalty among us in the form of Princess Angella of Brightmoon."

The princess was not that different as she would look like in the future. She had short poofy hair, a regal pink and purple dress, but no mighty wings like she did as an adult. She felt a bit embarrassed, trying to not draw much attention given that she was both a princess as well as someone much taller than most of the students. She tried to maintain a stoic look as she bowed in gratitude.

"I am honored to be here, Grand Master Norwyn," Angella said. "Thank you."

Amongst the students, Micah was awestruck by her beauty. He blushed and mumbled his words as he felt his stomach flutter.

"Quit staring, you'll freak her out." Castaspella elbowed Micah.

"Sorry, I'm not used to seeing a princess." Micah rubbed his wounded side. "She looks like an angel."

"Well, how about you show off and try to win this demonstration?" Castaspella smirked like a cat towards her brother.

Micah blushed at the insinuation. He looked towards Angella as she turned to look at him. He flinched, turning away and hiding his blush from the princess. A simple action that he hoped she wouldn't have seen, but she saw and she also blushed. In a way, the young sorcerer was so caught up in the ways of his studies and becoming a powerful sorcerer for his home kingdom that love often passed unnoticed in his radar. So, when someone like Princess Angella managed to leave him speechless, it was no surprise that he felt what could be considered as love at first sight.

The Sorcerer Council members Norwyn, Orko and Light Spinner prepared the stage for the demonstration. They combined magical glyphs to bring about a magical barrier that encased two long tables and a long table cloth that had the phases of the moon from one end until they were full in the middle.

"Now, now, children, as much as all of you want to show off, the participants will be chosen by my friends and companions, Master Orko and Master Light Spinner." Norwyn gestured to his colleagues.

"If I may, Master Norwyn, I believe that Micah and Shigaraki would be our best options for the demonstrations." Light Spinner suggested.

"As much faith as I have in both of them, Light Spinner, I get to pick one of the students for the demonstration. So to keep it fair," Orko argued, getting a glare from Light Spinner. "Besides, we're here to see how far they've come and the skills they have gained. It shouldn't be any specific students you have an interest in."

"Orko has a point, Light Spinner. Besides, I do not believe it is the best idea to pit those two against each other. They've been at each other's throats lately for some reason." Norwyn turned to see both Micah and Shigaraki looking at the makeshift arena.

"Yes, it is a mystery." Orko gave Light Spinner some side-eye. "I pick Castaspella as one of the participants."

A light shined on top of Castaspella, telling her that she would be one of the participants of the demonstration.

She shrugged with a sheepish smile as Micah glared daggers at her.

"You'd have our honored guest waste time on a student with no great skill at magic, unlike her brother." Light Spinner glared.

"She may not have the same natural skill her brother possesses, but her stubbornness to keep learning and practicing has more than made up for it. What better way to show that practice and dedication can achieve greatness than by letting her shine?" Orko asked.

"I agree with Master Orko, if I may." Angella got up from her seat, quickly becoming the center of the conversation. "I would like to see how far your students have come. And she appears to be as good as any."

"Very wise, your highness. Castaspella will be one of the representatives," Norwyn said. "Your pick, Light Spinner."

Light Spinner glared at Orko and his sentimental nonsense. She had a vision of how the history of magic would be led, and it would be led by her. She couldn't waste time on fools and late bloomers that wanted to ride the coat-tails of those with real talent. And amongst those she saw talent were Micah and Shagaraki, natural born wielders of magic on both sides of the magical spectrum but both with great potential. She had seen their powers grow since they arrived at Mystacor and how far they would go with proper tutelage. If Light Spinner could mold them into the paragons of sorcery that she saw them as then the fools would see that her way was right. She knew that there was a great conflict coming from the other side of the horizon and as such she needed to prepare the worthy sorcerers under her charge into proper warriors. But now her plan was being distracted by the old fool Orko and his pet apprentice Castaspella.

Light Spinner sighed, knowing that she could only do so much now. But that did not mean that she couldn't put an end to Orko's game. She knew that Micah would never hurt his sister and thus would hold back in the battle. So, that left her with one choice that she knew she could count on.

"I chose Shigaraki as the second participant." Light Spinner pointed to Shigaraki much to the shock of some of the classmates.

Shigaraki smiled as he took his spot inside the magical battlefield, deciding that he'd take down the small sorceress before proving his place as Master Light Spinner's true apprentice.

"The battle will end when the hourglass runs out," Norwyn explained. "You may only disarm your opponent, or knock them out."

"Remember that this is to show all that you've learned. Use it to its fullest extent." Light Spinner looked at Shigaraki, giving him a small message.

Shigaraki's smile grew wide and sinister, sending chills down the spines of everyone but the teachers.

The students grew silent as Micah made his way to the front row, feeling like he had to be there. One look at Shigaraki's face told him all he needed to know. His bitter rival was out for blood and he was not going to be playing around. He looked at the Masters, hoping that they would put an end to this fight should it get too dangerous.

"Alright, let the demonstration begin!" Orko flipped the hourglass, signaling the beginning of the battle.

Castaspella narrowed her eyes as Shigaraki approached her.

"You're not the boss that I want to fight." Shigaraki created a ball of purple light. "So how about you get lost before I have to hurt you?"

"Why don't you come over here and make me," Castaspella hid her right arm behind her, focusing her magic into her fist. "You don't scare me."

"Ha ha ha! Big mista-ACK!" Shigaraki was sent flying backwards by a magic enhanced punch to the chest.

"You think I wasn't expecting that kind of stunt from you?" Castaspella snarked. "I know better than to let you get close to me."

Shigaraki growled and gritted his teeth like an angry chained junkyard dog. He had never expected Micah's half-baked sister to actually throw the first punch against him. But he was not going to be made to look like a fool. He'd make her pay.

The students cheered as Shigaraki coughed from the strong push. This was the first time they'd seen the frail-looking student actually be bested so quickly by a type of magic that he was an expert on.

Shigaraki, however, wasn't amused. He gritted his teeth in rage, firing a shadowy purple claw towards Castaspell in a fit of rage. His spell forced Castaspella to roll out of the way as the spell collided with the wall of magic, shaking the other students and getting a smirk from Light Spinner. The prodigy continued his assault, firing different spells and blasts of magic to attack Castaspella, forcing her to dodge or block the spells with her own.

He summoned dark specters and magical blasts that scorched and scratched at Castaspella. He was overwhelming her, but all the magic that he was using was starting to take its toll. His strongest spells took time to prepare and could only work if he could touch her. But he didn't believe he'd have to do that.

Castaspella created a bouncing shield, blocking one of the spells, sending it back against another spell. She drew another glyph under her feet, using it to jump high in the air, avoiding another shot from Shigaraki. She knew that in terms of raw power she could only do so much against Shigaraki, but she could pull more than a few tricks to knock him down a few pegs. She landed behind Shigaraki, slamming a glyph under him, springing him away to the other side of the table.

Shigaraki got up in rage.

"Stop running and fight me like a true sorceress!" Shigaraki demanded, sending a purple blast of fire at Castaspella.

"You want magic, then try this!" Castaspella summoned two different glyphs in each of her hands.

Castaspella joined her glyphs, creating a powerful blast of water, extinguishing Shigaraki's fire spell before dousing him completely.

"You think a cold bath is going to stop me?" Shigaraki shivered. "I can muster spells ten times stronger than that!"

"Oh, actually I fused a water power spray spell with an icy wind spell." Castaspella smirked. "Put them together and you get a good extinguisher but an even better quick solvent."

Shigaraki watched his feet being covered by spreading ice magic. If he didn't do something quick, he would be turned into an ice statue.

"While you and my brother were headbutting each other to impress Light Spinner, I learned more about the magic scrolls you were skimming through." Castaspella summoned two more glyphs on her hands, combining them into a third glyph that she used on Shigaraki. "And that's a silencer spell."

Up in the stands, Princess Angella smiled in amazement along with Orko, who was clapping at his student's craftiness, Norwyn nodded in approval at the battle, while Light Spinner gritted her teeth in disapproval. Although most of the spectators and Masters watching the demonstration were cheering Castaspella's improvised skills, Light Spinner was not enjoying the sight of raw power being defeated by mere tricks.

Light Spinner gave Shigaraki a look before looking away, a signal that was meant to turn the tide.

Shigaraki smiled, clasping his hands together as his magic crackled through his body. It was a painful experience that coursed through his body, but through pure force of will and desire to surpass all those laughing fools, he broke through the icy restraints and the silencing spell.

Castaspella put up her glyph for protection, but she was still pushed back by the wave of power. She didn't have time to react as Shigaraki scratched the table with his five fingers, raking five slicing waves of magic at her. She was knocked on her back as her shield was shattered. Her hands were then cut by tiny magical daggers, stopping her from using her magic.

"Not feeling up to play now, little witch?" Shigaraki smirked as the magic coursing through his arms made them look like bloody slabs of skinless meat. "Let this be a lesson to you!"

Shigaraki prepared to attack Castaspella with a supercharged spell.

"No!" Orko called out.

"Stop, that's enough!" Norwyn demanded.

But before Shigaraki could attack Castaspella, Micah jumped in, blasting away his rival.

"Get away from my sister, Shigaraki. You want me, come get me!" Micah summoned his staff, casting a glyph shield, to contain Shigaraki.

Shigaraki thrashed and blasted apart the shield with his out of control magic as Micah quickly thought of a plan.

Micah jumped high in the air with a wind spell, getting above Shigaraki's attacks. He spun his staff over his head, creating a large glyph above his head. He thrusted the glyph forward, absorbing the magic that Shigaraki was unleashing. He reeled back his staff before slamming it down on the glyph, unleashing the absorbed magic back at Shigaraki in the form of a tornado.

His magic was so strong that the walls of the battlefield broke, unleashing the wind outside.

Orko and Norwyn used their combined efforts on a powerful glyph, freezing Micha and Shigaraki. They dismissed all the students while they remained in the room with Micah, Castaspella, and Shigaraki. While Orko tended to Castaspella's wounds, Norwyn was furious at the actions of the two young sorcerers.

"Hang on, Castaspella. You have a few injuries, but nothing far too threatening." Orko healed Castaspellas' injured hands.

"Thank you, Master Orko." Castaspella winced at the feeling.

"Are you alright?" Angella helped Castaspella to her feet.

"Yes, thank you," Castaspella replied. "But I'm more worried for my brother."

"What is the meaning of that madness?!" Norwyn demanded as he and Orko helped the students up while holding Micah and Shigaraki on their spots. "You two put each other and the rest of the students in harm's way! You two better start talking right now, or else you will be expelled."

"Master Norwyn, if I may, this just shows that Castaspella was not the appropriate opponent to show the limits of Shigaraki's abilities," Light Spinner argued. "Had Micah been the one to battle in the first place, this wouldn't have happened."

Castaspella, Orko, Angella and even Micah were shocked at what Light Spinner had just said. She was implying that the near death of Castaspella had been caused because she was not at the same level as Shigaraki. This greatly angered both Castaspella and Orko greatly while shocking Angella and Micah a great deal.

"Be that as it may, Shigaraki lost control of his power! Had he continued on this path he would've killed Castaspella." Norwyn glared at Shigaraki.

"Master Norwyn, I won't apologize for saving my sister. And I accept any punishment you say." Micah bowed.

Norwyn couldn't fault Micah for saving his sister. He knew that he had good intentions, but only through time, discipline and wisdom would he become a true powerful sorcerer of Mystacor. He sadly couldn't say the same for Shigaraki and his violent outbursts. He didn't know why Light Spinner wasted her time claiming that this plague of a child would be a great sorcerer without curving his more dangerous impulses. If he had any sense, he would expel the boy after his attempt on the life of another student.

"I take full responsibility for Shigaraki's actions and as such, I'd like to take both him and Micah under my wing." Light Spinner bowed. "Under my guidance they will reach their true potential."

"You're rewarding that madman's actions?!" Angella spoke up.

"Princess, I can-" Light Spinner began only for Angella to stand her ground.

"If this is the way that those that break the rules and threaten the lives of others are dealt with, then I see the standards of Mystacor have dropped severely. And the other princesses and queens will agree with me when I inform them of what I've seen!" Angella got up to Light Spinner's face. "If you are truly one of Mystacor's brightest masters, you leave a lot to be desired. Micah shouldn't be punished for his valiant efforts and neither should Castaspella. They represent the best I've seen of Mystacor's students."

Castaspella and Orko were surprised while Micah blushed at the princess' bravado.

"Wow," they all said at once.

"I can assure you, Princess Angella, we will take the necessary steps to ensure that this doesn't happen once more." Norwyn bowed. "Light Spinner, you and Shigaraki come with me. His wounds must be treated."

Norwyn, Light Spinner and Shigaraki left the room, leaving the princess, the siblings and Orko alone.

"I apologize for speaking for you, Micah. I do believe that you acted very valiantly," Angella said, blushing slightly.

"Y-you know my name?" Micah blushed.

"Yes, well, they had been saying it quite often," Angela replied, rubbing her arm. "Sorry if it bothers you."

"O-Oh, oh, oh, um, I-I like to talk. I-I man, mean, you don't have to worry!" Micah blushed, holding up his hands while trying to keep cool. "You can say my name as much as you want. Unless you don't want to! I mean," he mumbled, causing Angella to laugh.

"You're quite charming, Micah." Angella laughed blushing.

Castaspella couldn't help but roll her eyes at the sight of her brother and the princess talking and flirting with each other. Though she had to admit that it was a sweet sight that she couldn't look away from. Maybe there was something good that came by from her almost getting murdered.

The days passed and everything seemed to return to normal as the days drew closer to the Tri-Lunar Alignment. Micah and Shigaraki had been forbidden from competing with each other with the later one being forced to have his magic restricted by order of Master Norwyn. Although Castaspella was enjoying the calmness of school life she couldn't feel like there was something else going on.

Castaspella spotted her brother walking out of one of his classes. She waved at him, but he paid her no mind. She followed her brother as he went the other way than the other students. As she continued to follow after her brother through the corridors, she began to notice that they were going to one of the secluded potion rooms. She was just about to ask him what he was doing, only to then spot Light Spinner and Shigaraki inside that very room. Her flight instincts kicked in, making her hide at that moment behind one of the pillars.

"Micah, so good of you to join us. We were just about to start," Light Spinner said. "Did you get what I told you?"

"Yes, Light Spinner." Micah showed his bag, filled with Lunar crystals.

"Excellent, now we can prepare." Light Spinner pulled out the crystals from inside the bag with a flick of her wrist. "Despite the small hiccup at the demonstration, I've been able to convince Norwyn that you two will grow strong under my tutelage." She placed the crystals inside a bowl, as her comment made Castaspella narrow her eyes.

"It is an honor to be your apprentice, Light Spinner. What do you need me to help you with?" Micah asked.

"Why don't you start by using that brown-noser sister of yours to get rid of these damn itchy gloves off of me." Shigaraki lifted his thick gloved hands. "I can't use magic unless a teacher allows it."

"Well maybe, next time, you won't try to kill her," Micah snapped.

"Enough. I won't waste my time training two mewling children. You two will be the heralds of a new age of sorcerers, and not a moment too soon." Light Spinner casted her glyph into the bowl, causing the crystal to reveal a vision from a far away land. "Observe."

Micah and Shigaraki gazed into the pool of water. They saw a rampaging army running wild across the lad, overtaking any and all that stood before them. The two students saw the armored menaces destroying and pillaging the land, destroying everything that had to do with magic with their tanks and weapons of cold science. They saw their banner, a banner of horrible blood bat wings being held by a creature that looked more machine than living organism, with pale white skull face, red eyes and red sharp fangs.

Even from her hiding spot, Castaspella could tell that what they were watching was not something for the faint of heart. But she noted that Shigaraki wasn't recoiling in shock or disgust like her brother, while Light Spinner looked more apathetic than anything.

"This is awful! Why would you create such an illusion?" Micah asked.

"It is no illusion, fool. This is real." Shigaraki mocked.

"Shigaraki is right, this is all happening as we speak. A dark army rises over the horizon," Light Spinner explained. "They call themselves The Horde."

Castaspella continued hearing the conversation. If Light Spinner was telling the truth then the Masters would know what was going on.

"I plan on proposing a plan that will make us strong enough to defend ourselves against them. The dark tomes of the secured library have just what we need. But for that I need your assistance, Micah, Shigaraki." Light Spinner placed her hands on their shoulders.

"We won't let you down, Light Spinner." Micah looked up in determination.

Castaspella could already feel like something was wrong. The plan that Light Spinner had in mind could be extremely dangerous and her brother was right in the middle of it. She silently made her way out of the area and towards the only person that could give her a straight answer.

"Master Orko, I need to speak with you!" Castaspella opened Orko's office door, startling the old master.

"C-Castaspella!" Orko jumped from his seat, dropping his papers. "When I said, come in at any time, I didn't mean knock down my door. I do need a break in the day."

"I'm sorry, master. But I want to ask you a few questions," Castaspella said. "If there was a danger to the school, to all of Etheria, the teachers would say something, right?"

Orko raised an eyebrow to Castaspella's question. He hadn't known her to make up strange and crazy questions that didn't have some logic behind them. Even her most outlandish questions had something to do with the conversation and allowed for her to improve her knowledge.

"Cass, what has brought this question on?" Orko asked.

"Light Spinner showed Micah and Shigaraki a vision of a deadly army running rampant across Etheria. They call themselves the Horde and they're conquering and enslaving people that use magic." Castaspella shuddered at the reaction of her brother.

Orko's eyes widened at the explanation.

"Are you certain? Did Light Spinner say something else?" Orko asked.

"She said that she had something from the secure library," Castaspella replied.

"The secure library?" Orko freaked out. "Those are some of the darkest spells we have discovered! Cass, are you absolutely sure that's what she said?"

"That's what she said." Castaspella nodded.

Before Orko could say or do anything else, he received a call from Master Norwyn.

"Master Orko, Light Spinner has summoned the council, report to the Moon Sanctuary in five minutes." Norwyn ended the communication.

"Guess we'll see what's going on very soon," Orko said before teleporting himself and Castaspella to the Moon Sanctuary.

Castaspella was told to wait outside where she found both Micah and Shigaraki there. She narrowed her eyes at her brother.

"Cass, what are you doing here?" Micah asked.

"I was just about to ask you that." Castaspella pulled Micah away from Shigaraki and the door. "What are you doing with Shigaraki and Light Spinner? They're dangerous."

"Light Spinner isn't dangerous. Listen Cass, there is a big threat to Etheria, and she wants to get the council to stop it." Micah whispered.

"If the threat is real then she better have one heck of a sales pitch." Castaspella sighed.

Inside the Moon Sanctuary, Light Spinner displayed images of the Horde waging war upon Etheria. It was not difficult to have the other members of the council see that there was a true horror in their world.

"My goodness," Orko said in dread.

"The princesses and their kingdoms are unprepared for a warforce such as this one. We must strike them while we still have a chance," Light Spinner argued.

"I hate to agree with Light Spinner, but we must do something to help the other kingdoms," Orko said. "Norwyn, we must send messengers to all of them so that they may be ready."

"I propose that we do something more, than just warn them. I say we destroy this enemy before any princess learns of this enemy." Light Spinner slammed her fist against the bowl, sending ripples through it. "After searching through the dark tomes, I found a spell that will allow us to link with greater magical sources to make us stronger! If we cast the Spell of Obtainment tonight at the Tri-Lunar Alignment then our powers will be beyond their peaks."

This however didn't get the reaction that she was expecting. Most of the sorcerers gasped at her suggestion, even those that agreed with her were apprehensive about her plan.

"The Spell of Obtainment is a forbidden spell, Light Spinner. It empowers the caster but it turns them into a magical parasyte." Norwyn explained. "We will warn the princesses as Orko has suggested, but we are not to head this conflict. We're scholars of magic, not generals."

"So we are to do nothing?!" Light Spinner demanded.

"There must be something we can do. That does not involve a forbidden spell." Orko pointed out.

"Etheria will take care of itself. Here the ways of magic will survive," Norwyn said, turning to Light Spinner. "This is the last I want to hear about your plan."

"Then you are a blind old goat!" Light Spinner stormed out, nearly slamming the doors against Micah, Castaspella and Shigaraki.

Castaspella watched Micah and Shigaraki run after their mentor. She ran after them, hoping to pull her brother out of doing something very stupid.

"What did they say?" Micah asked.

"Those fools won't listen to me. They refuse to do what is necessary to protect our way of life." Light Spinner stomped away in rage. "But I will make them see that this is the only way."

"Maybe you should listen to the council," Castaspella spoke, causing Light Spinner to stop. "If the spell is as dangerous as Master Norwyn said, then you'd be doing more damage than any army ever could. We should help get the kingdoms ready and aid them however we-" Castaspella was cut off as a force came over her body.

Light Spinner turned around, glaring at Castaspella with rage. She had summoned her own magic to restrain Castaspella. If looks could kill, Light Spinner would have killed Castaspella with a glare that reached deep into her soul to crush it.

"Light Spinner, she didn't mean-" Micah began.

"Be quiet, Micah. I have business with your sister. You will mind your tongue, child." Light Spinner released Castaspella from her hold. "You don't have any potential worth my time. If you wish to waste whatever you have following a bunch of fools, then so be it. But don't presume to know what destiny truly gifted can accomplish."

"And you should not presume that you can threaten students and go about your day," Orko said, making his presence known.

Orko and Light Spinner looked at each other like two gunslingers as the clock was about to strike noon. Neither were willing to look away and give the other one the last word. Their rocky working relationship had always been one of constant odds, and now they didn't have anything to stop them from acting on those feelings of disdain from each other. Had they been more impulsive and with less students around them, they would've unleashed a small but very dangerous magic duel. But before they could've unleashed any powerful spell against the other, Light Spinner walked away with Shigaraki and Micah following behind her.

Once they were alone, Orko let out a disappointed sigh as Castaspella looked down at how her brother followed Light Spinner like that.

"Castaspella, I want you to go back to your room, gather your things and be ready to go out and warn Brightmoon," Orko said.

"What? Why?" Castaspella asked.

"Norwyn took my suggestion and is sending sorcerers to the other kingdoms and warn them. I also fear that Light Spinner won't take this lying down." Orko floated away as Castaspella looked at him with worry.

"What are you going to do, Master Orko?" Castaspella asked.

"What I must, should it come down to it." Orko replied, not even looking at her.

Castaspella did as her master had told her. She packed all her stuff in her bags, preparing herself for the long trip to Brightmoon. However, she couldn't leave her brother here with Light Spinner and Shigaraki. Castaspella feared what those two would do to her brother if they tricked him to follow their dangerous plan. With all her stuff packed and ready, she saw the three moons slowly getting closer together.

She went out to her brother's room, banging on his door to get his attention.

"Micah, come out, we need to leave." Castaspella banged on his door, but didn't get a reply. "Micha?" Castaspella opened the door, only to see that it was empty. "Oh no."

Castaspella used her magic glyph to speed herself all the way to the Moon Sanctuary. She spotted the doors being unlocked. She slowed down as she saw something sinister growling inside. She looked inside through the crack on the door, and she almost hoped she hadn't.

Inside the Moon Sanctuary, Micah, Shigaraki, and Light Spinner all stood around the mystic bowl as the Spell of Obtainment was being casted. The light of the moons aligning was focused in a single four-sided diamond made out of pale moonlight. But the light started to change into a dark bloodied red as a dark mass within the crystal started growing and growing. As the sorcerers attempted to control the creature inside the crystal, the black mass manifested glowing yellow eyes with three-way split eye irises and hands that reached out and pressed against the crystal like an angry mob of rioting fiends. The crystal was bent and pushed as the dark mass made its way out of its containment.

The scene inside the Moon Sanctuary was one of a horror movie.

Castaspella didn't know what to do as the hands broke through the crystal that held it. She ran in as Micah finally came to his senses and ran away as the Spell of Obtainment went wild against those that had cast it.

"Micah! Come back!" Light Spinner reached out.

"Forget him, Master! I will bring this spell to heel!" Shigaraki growled as the hands grabbed around his arms and face. "I will not be taken down by a damn power up!"

The hands grabbed hold of both Light Spinner and Shigaraki, pulling them into the center of the black mass. They devoured the two sorcerers, cursing them with the effects of the spell.

A powerful wave of magic sent Micah flying.

"Micah!" Castaspella caught her brother before they were both caught by Orko.

"Castaspella, Micah! What are you two doing here?! I told you to leave the school!" Orko screamed.

"Light Spinner, Shigaraki, they," Micah stuttered as two figures fell down.

"Oh no." Orko pulled both students behind him as the other teachers and Norwyn arrived at the scene. "Light Spinner, can you hear me?"

Light Spinner clawed her body up to her feet as she held her no scar-covered face. Her eyes now glowed yellow and resembled those of a ghostly wraith.

Shigaraki stumbled back to his feet as his hair lost all color and his hands were now turning everything he touched to dust. His red eyes looked at his hands as a maniacal laugh echoed in the Moon Sanctuary.

"Micah, how could you? The spell. It was working." Light Spinner growled.

"No, the.. the spell. It was something evil, it wanted to consume us!" Micah countered.

"You were always too damn weak to see things through, Micah. I'll show you just what this power was meant to be used for!" Shigaraki jumped at the sorcerers like a mad man.

"Stop them!" Norwyn ordered as one of the sorcerers jumped ahead.

"Wait!" Orko warned.

But it was too late, Shigaraki's hand grabbed hold of the sorcerer, imbuing a curse of decay on him. Shigaraki watched with glee as the sorcerer turned to dust before his eyes.

The other sorcerers watched in horror before Light Spinner summoned dark tentacles after them.

Orko summoned a shield of light, pushing back the tentacles and Shigaraki away from the other sorcerers.

"Norwyn, we must use the Banishing Spell! I'll hold them off!" Orko handed Norwyn his bag with all the ingredients.

"Micah, Castaspella, I will need your assistance." Norwyn pulled out the ingredients.

Orko shot out to face the two mad and cursed sorcerers. He fired two magic blasts at Shigaraki and Light Spinner, holding them in place with their own shields in place. He summoned a large glyph slamming it on the ground, bringing out chains of light, binding them.

"Stand down, Light Spinner, you've become a threat to all of Mystacor and magic as a whole!" Orko said. "Shigaraki, I'm sorry, I failed you."

"Keep your miserable pity you old fool!" Light Spinner spat out. "I was the one with the vision, while you were teaching failures how to cling onto life!" Light Spinner slammed her hand on the floor, creating a shadow pillar sending it at Orko.

Orko dodged the attack as it flew past him, but that was all that Shigaraki needed to cast his decay curse on the glyph under him. The smaller master of sorcery was then met with black lightning bolts that forced him to fly away from them. He summoned his glyph once more, blocking more of the dark lightning charging at him, but the power behind the lightning was too strong and sent him to the ground.

Orko pulled himself up just in time to dodge a dark tentacle from Light Spinner. He saw her now coated in a dark purple aura much like the one Shigaraki had, summoning more dark tentacles. He shot back into the air, creating a spinning glyph before throwing it at the tentacles coming his way. His magic sliced through hers, before being caught by Light Spinner clawed hands.

"You're not going to stop me, Orko." Light Spinner absorbed the magic of the saw. "I am more powerful than you could ever dream of."

"Maybe, but winning doesn't have to mean overwhelm you." Orko countered. "Besides, I just need to outlast you." Orko snapped his head backwards as a shadow claw tore the front of his hat.

"Then we will just hit you when you're not looking!" Shigaraki laughed.

Orko brought out his summons, but this time the green tiger was the size of a cart. He commanded the summoned beast to tackle Shigaraki away from him. He controlled the beast's claws and fangs to bite down on Shigaraki's arms, keeping him from using his new form of cursed magic. He left the summons on automatic pilot as Light Spinner jumped into the attack.

Orko and Light Spinner were caught up in a battle of wills, with each trying to push back the other with their respective glyphs.

Back with Micah, Castaspella and Norwyn, they were preparing the Banishment Spell while the other sorcerers were keeping the battle contained.

"A few drops of powdered escape root," Castaspella said.

"Markings of repulsion and the symbols of Mystacor," Micah said.

"Now we must focus it with a harmonized spell to bind them all together." Norwyn clasped his hands together.

Castaspella did as he instructed, but Micah was unsure if he should.

"Come on Micah, we've got to finish the spell!" Norwyn scolded.

"But that's Light Spinner and Shigaraki, we can't-" Micah began only for a bolt of magic to come awfully close to them.

"If it's not too much to ask, please do something!" Orko pushed back Light Spinner as Shigaraki broke free from the green tiger avatar.

Light Spinner clapped her hands, summoning a dark shadow sword. She fired the blast at Norwyn and Castaspella, breaking through the barrier.

Orko teleported himself between them and the attack, summoning a powerful series of shields. He held back the attack as Light Spinner was joined by Shigaraki blasting his shields. He was slowly being pushed as Shigaraki slowly stepped towards the shields.

"Micah, it's now or never, we've got to banish them!" Castaspella argued. "They're too dangerous to be left here!"

Micah didn't know what to do. On one hand those were his mentor and rival. He couldn't just banish them into the wilds of Etheria like wild animals. But he couldn't just let them run free on Mystacor.

"Micah, I know you're conflicted, and that you want to do the right thing for your home and those you care about. But sometimes, the needs of the many surpass the needs of the few." Orko struggled to hold the shields as Shigaraki started to break the shields. "Which is why, I will give you and your sister one final piece of advice. The wisest sorcerers learn from their mistakes, especially the worst ones."

"Keep wasting breath old man!" Light Spinner yelled. "No great sorcerer ever makes mistakes, their power is all that matters and now I have all the power I need! Including enough to end you!"

Light Spinner increased the power of her magic, breaking the last shield.

Orko held up his arms as the shield shattered, temporarily blinding him. But he was then caught by something worse.

Shigaraki thrusted his cursed hand into his chest, pulling him down and slamming Orko into the ground.

Orko screamed as his stomach started to decay and squirt blood. His scarf fell off of him.

"Master Orko!" Castaspella teared at the sight.

Micah went cold for a second as he could only see the monsters that Light Spinner and Shigaraki had become. His fists tightened in rage as he summoned his glyph again. He let out an angry scream as the blast sent Shigaraki back into Light Spinner.

"Micah! You dare?!" Light Spinner snapped, only to then get tied up by Orko's scarf along with Shigaraki.

Orko held out his hand, using all of his remaining strength to keep them tied up.

"Now, all together!" Norwyn said.

Micah, Castaspella, and Norwyn activated the Banishment spell. They brought forth a red glyph that wrapped around Shigaraki and Light Spinner engulfing them in a red aura.

Light Spinner and Shigaraki thrashed as the spell took effect. They became a beam of red light, firing away and out of Mystacor.

Once the light subsided, Micah and Castaspella and the other sorcerers tried to save what they could as Orko faded away, joining the magic around him.

Present

Glimmer was speechless at the story she had just heard.

"And that's what happened to Light Spinner and Shigaraki," Castaspella said. "As far as we knew, they were lost to the wilderness of Etheria."

"What was that spell about? I mean, I get its banishment but what does it entail?" Glimmer asked.

"It is like a magical repelling spell that keeps whoever is struck by the spell to be forbidden to ever go near the place," Castaspella replied. "However, no one has managed to find a way around with the use of a familiar like Shadow Weaver did."

"Glimmer now you know the truth about your father's history with Shadow Weaver and Shigaraki. And with that the danger that you are in if they ever recognize that you are your father's daughter." Angella knelt before Glimmer. "Which is why I want you to be even more careful from now on."

Glimmer nodded.

"I understand, mom. But I won't let them get away with what they've done." Glimmer summoned her own magic glyph. "And I know I'm not alone." She added, getting a smile from her mother and aunt.
