Well, a few reviews are better than nothing, but I was expecting more. Probably my own fault for my political standing on certain subjects or something else, either way I'm going to try and do a whole lot better than before.

I have thought of another world my rangers will travel to, due to the Grand Cross. One with a certain electro master who can fire projectiles like the ones that slammed into Devastator in Revenge of the Fallen.

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, Easter or whatever they celebrate in April. I also had an awesome time at Anime Boston this year and really, really, really hope the guys running the convention invite Lindsey Seidel next year, the woman who voice's Nejire, Belfast and several other characters that I like. She is on my list of voice actresses and actors I want to meet. I wish I was her friend in real life because she is a very talented actress.

First off, the reviews.

DCDGojira: I'm just getting started.

Luffy L Deathwalker: It will be as long as I want it to be.

Aztec 13: Yes, the man is Izuku's father, but he won't be fighting with the rangers, no that honor belongs to someone else. Glad you liked the hints to the Super Train Megazord, but I think now is the right time to bring out that idea I mentioned to you a while back.

Monster King: I'm not going to stop now. Not when so many people have favorited and followed my story, people who I might add haven't left a review, yet. But I'm not going to give up, not now, not ever. Heh, wish I was like that when it came to my learners permit when I was still in High School.

SunPhoenix90: Thanks and I didn't notice that part.

Ultimate Savior Infinity: Oh, you are right about Weston, but it will be revealed slowly as this arc continues

Time to que that intro.

Chapter 19: Fire on the Mountain: Part 2.

Astro Megaship

Earth Orbit

February 18th 9:00 PM

Japan Time

Having packed several bags of winter clothing for several days and loading the modified Rescue Rover onto the Megaship, the Lightspeed Rangers and their seniors waited as the Space and Galaxy Rangers brought the Megaship down from its orbit to a landing zone several miles away from Fairview, to avoid attracting any unwanted attention. Doctor Tatsumi had already left with the Rescue Bay and the rebuilt Battlefleet Battleship, which was towing the massive structure through the waters of the pacific ocean to a designated area close to the California shore, where I-Island was docked and undergoing repairs. "You sure you want to bring your dog with you on this?" Chris asked Connor, gesturing to Cody who had grown quiet a bit since the day All Might rescue the dog.

Cody raised his head with a curious look and jumped into Connor's arms, almost knocking the red ranger back into the console while trying to lick him. "It just didn't seem fair to leave this little guy for someone like Jason or anyone else to take care of. Plus, if I asked Endeavor, he wouldn't do me the favor and don't even get me started on Bakugo." Connor answered, his face covered in dog kisses. "Besides, the Angel Lake Lodge is pet friendly."

"Well, as long as he doesn't cause any trouble by urinating on the floor or chews anything, then I think he'll be fine." Chris said.

"We are approaching the landing zone now." Deca reported over the intercom.

"Guess this is our stop." Connor said, putting Cody back down on the ground, clipping the leash to his collar and guided the dog to the hanger where the Rescue Rover was loaded up and ready to roll. Any indication that it was a vehicle of the Power Rangers was covered by a sort of holographic disguise, which could be activated and deactivated by the press of a button on the stick, courtesy of Hatsume without the ranger's consent. "That girl is certainly enthusiastic about her babies; you think the least she could do is ask us first." He muttered, climbing into the back seat while Anthony sat in the driver's seat.

"She's an interesting one, I can say that much." Melissa said with a drop of sweet running down her head. "But she does have a goal she wants achieve. Besides, I think that one upgrade she added to the Rescue Rover will help when it comes to rivers of fire."

"If they don't fall apart on us or melt." Lena deadpanned as they felt the ship jerk as it landed and the hanger opened up, revealing the snow-covered ground of eastern California. "Burr, man is it cold out here." She said with a shiver.

"Try going to Alaska. It's much colder there." TJ said as he pressed his foot on the gas pedal and drove the rover out of the Megaship, which then lifted off into the night sky back into the sky before anyone heading up the mountain could notice.

Skull Cavern

Someone did notice their arrival, but not anyone human. "Well, it looks like those goody two shoes' rangers have decided to stick their noses in where they don't belong." Ivan mused as he watched the rangers drive up the mountain road through a projection created by Jinxer. "Well, I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later, that just means it's going to be more fun."

"They have no idea what we have planned." Olympius added as he stood by the master of ooze, accompanied by Jinxer, Furio, Treacheron, Flurious and Scorpina. "I must admit, your idea of using an extinct volcano as the basis for the gathering of energy was pure genius, Ivan. Had I thought of something like that when I was still an infant, Mariner Bay would already belong to me and my fellow demons."

"Well, I didn't do everything, but please feel free to continue complimenting me about my genius plan." Ivan said with fake embarrassment. "Besides, it was your idea to plan on resurrecting those five warriors to fight the rangers. Sure, it will take time to revive them, but hey, it's like baking a cake, it takes time."

"If there is one thing, I've learned from facing the rangers, it's to never underestimate their abilities or technology." Flurious added. "My brother might be the master of lava, but he is only one individual. He will need assistance."

"And I have just the monster for the job." Jinxer said with a grin, holding a card in his hand which he then threw into the statue. "From all three heads to his pinkie toe, make me a monster with lava flow!" he chanted.

Energy flew out of the statue, followed by an orange fireball that took the form of the three headed demon known as Trifire. "Oh yeah! I'm back baby! Who needs me to start a fire!" the demon bellowed with a clench of his fists. "Because things are about to get mighty hot around here again!"

"Trifire." Olympius began, holding a vial of energy. "This quirk will enhance your fires with the strength and destructive power of lava. Use it to reignite the core of that extinct volcano. You have an opening created by Ivan's forces." Pulling the cork out of the vial, the quirk energy infused itself with Trifire, who felt the power surging through his veins.

"I will not fail you, my prince." Trifire promised and teleported out of the Skull Cavern to the surface.

"I tell yeah, prince boy, it's good to have allies that don't have plans that interfere with your own. I should have taken that into account back in my universe." Ivan said, just as Goldar and Rito walked into the throne room.

"Say, you mentioned that you shrank the Lord Zed and Rita of your universe into a snow globe, right?" the golden monster asked.

"Yeah, I did and let me tell you, it was funny hearing their voices all squeaky like they breathed in helium. Why do you ask?" Ivan answered.

"Goldar and I were just thinking, that if you were defeated by the rangers in your universe and being sent to our universe undo their imprisonment?" Rito asked.

"You make a good point." Ivan said with a hand to his chin.

Ivan's Universe

Sitting in the chair of his former master, a certain monster turned around and looked at his follower who looked like a pig with a monocle. "I am King Goldar! Ruler of the universe!" Goldar said with a laugh, as did the pig monster named Mordant.

Their moment of leadership soon came to an end as entering the throne room of the palace was Rita and Lord Zedd, both having been released from Ivan's spell and were very angry, growling at the two of them who then realized they were in trouble. "Uh-Oh!" the two groaned at once.

"Goldar! Mordant! I think it's for you two to learn a very painful and agonizing lesson!" Zed growled.

"Indeed!" Rita added as she and her husband slowly marched towards the two of them with every intention of hurting the two dummies.

Grabbing Goldar in a hug of pure fear, Mordant gulped. "This is the part where they tear us to pieces! Stuff us into ice cube trays! And freeze us to use and cool their drinks!" he said in fear.

"Non-Alcoholic I hope!" Goldar said in equal fear.

Main universe

"Not my problem!" Ivan said with a shrug, then looked around. "Say, where's Koragg? Don't tell me he's going to blab our plan to the rangers? I swear, that guy is going to be problematic."

Angel Lake

February 18th

9:30 AM

Looking down from the mountain at the town, Koragg couldn't help but admit that the town was peaceful, but his thoughts were more focused on the children of the arrested mayor. "She has children and was arrested for crimes she didn't commit. The man who had her arrested is a well-known criminal and has no honor. He will target the children because of their abilities, as will my allies." He said to himself, slowly making his way down the mountain and towards a cabin by one of the lakes.

He heard the growl of a dog from inside the cabin as he approached it, which woke the occupant of the cabin, Ruth who came out of her cabin with a shotgun in hand. "Who's out there!? You're trespassing on private property! I'll shoot you if I have to!" Ruth shouted into the air but didn't see Koragg hiding in the trees before the knight wolf left the area allowing Ruth and her dog to go back inside and to bed.

Snow crunched underneath Koragg's feet as he continued to walk through the forest, his shield in hand but his sword not drawn. He stopped once more when he heard the whimper of an animal and walked in the direction of the whimper and found a young Grey Wolf caught in a bear trap, which looked ready to chew its own leg off. Putting his shield down, Koragg grabbed the sides of the bear trap and pried them apart, releasing the wolf from the trap. "Now, you have a chance to survive and grow strong." Koragg said to the wolf, who looked back at their savior for a moment, then nuzzled up against him. "You are welcome." To his surprise, the wolf barked at Koragg, as if he was trying to guide the knight wolf somewhere. Following the wolf, Koragg ventured deep into the forest, curious as to what the wolf was trying to show him.

Meanwhile, the rangers and their comrades continued to drive up to the mountain towards the lodge, but stopped when they spotted a car pulled off the side of the road with its hood popped open, and the driver annoyed. The driver, was a man in his mid-thirties with dark black hair with several blue streaks and brown eyes, wearing a brown zipped up leather jacket that covered a white long-sleeved shirt, dark green pants, hiking boots and a camera around his neck. "Hey! Stop! I need a ride!" TJ immediately pulled the Rescue Rover over the side of the road and stopped, allowing the man to stop waving like a maniac. "Oh, thank god, I was starting to think nobody was going to stop for me. You kids heading up Angel Lake?" the man asked.

"Yeah, we are." Mirio answered. "We're on winter break and the eight of us decided we'd hit the slopes."

"Perfect! My rental car broke down and I've been waiting for hours for the tow truck to take this heap of junk away." the man said, gesturing towards his car. "Dealer swindled me out of my money for a car he knew was in need of repairs, listen if you kids could give me a lift to the lodge, I'll appreciate it."

"We can fit another person in here." Melissa said with a smile, hoping out of the rescue rover and helping the man load his bags into the vehicle. "So, what brings you to Angel Lake?" she asked.

"I'm a photojournalist. I heard tourist season was at it's peak this year and my boss wanted me to check it out, figured it would make for a good story. My son's already up there and he's probably worried sick about me." The man answered. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Frank Benson."

"I'm Connor. This is Melissa, Lena, Anthony, TJ, Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire." Connor introduced, making sure to keep as much information about their true identities hidden.

"Guess you kids must go to a pretty fancy high school if you're driving a vehicle like this and afford to stay at the lodge. I heard the mayor hiked up the prices for tourists." Frank said, tossing the last of his bags into the rover, climbed in and allowed TJ to continue driving up the mountain.

As the group continued to drive to the mountain town, Connor looked at Frank with curiosity. A Photojournalist wouldn't be issued an assignment to cover an increase in tourism for a town like Angel Lake. Now if they were a photographer for a railroad magazine, nature magazine or sports magazine, that would be more practical. He also noticed that there was a bulge underneath Frank's jacket, which made him feel uneasy about the man, like he was trying to hide something from everyone.

After crossing the bridge that traversed the river that was blocked by a large dam, the group finally arrived at the lodge, where Frank's son was waiting for them. His son was twelve-years old and had the same dark hair but was spikier looking and without the blue streaks, brown eyes, and a blue headband around his head. "Thanks again kids, I ow you one." Frank said, getting out of the rover and grabbing his bags before his son ran over to him. "Lan!"

"Hey Dad! You finally made it!" Lan said with a teasing voice. "I told mom that she had nothing to worry about if I spent winter break with you."

"Well, it helps that I have a mature young man for a son with an incredible quirk who I know will make his old man proud." Frank said with a tease back at his son. "And it helps that I had these young people to help me get here."

Lan looked at the rangers and their friends. "Thank you for helping my dad." He said with a smile as the rangers started to unpack their bags from the rover while Frank and his son headed for their own room.

"Something's off about that man." Connor said. "He looks like a nice man, but he's hiding something."

"Maybe you're just being paranoid." Nejire said with a tease, taking her suitcase into the lobby of the lodge, followed by the others while TJ pressed a button on the rover's keys, raising the hood over the rover as the snow started to fall.

After getting checked in, the rangers and their friends were given their room keys, but a mistake by one of the desk clerks had given Connor and Nejire the same room to share, which made them both feel uncomfortable and they couldn't fix it as the desk clerks were closing for the night, so they decided to make do with the current situation until the morning. Needless to say, Connor was embarrassed with the idea of sharing a room with the girl he had feelings for, who was wearing a set of pinkish blue pajamas. "So, uh, I think the first thing we should do tomorrow after breakfast is let the sheriff know we're here. That way, he'll notify the mayor that we've arrived. Then we'll find Doctor Slater and start patrolling the mountains." He said to Nejire, his face red as the girl he was sharing the lodge room with was looking at him. His pajamas were of a camo design with a long sleeved top and bottom.

"Sounds like a good plan." Nejire said with a yawn, crawling into bed and shifted around before falling asleep.

"Ok, well, see you in the morning." Connor said, his face still red as he climbed into the second bed and turned his head towards the door, not wanting to look at the girl of his affection. Cody, however, decided to jump on Nejire's bed and curled up next to her, before the dog fell asleep.

February 19th

9:00 AM

Angel Lake Sheriff's Office

"MAYOR PHILIPS HAS BEEN ARRESTED!" the kids shouted the following morning.

"Could you guys not shout so loud?" Buck asked, holding a cup of coffee in his hands as the kids stood in his office. "But yeah, she's been arrested and on false charges to."

"You mean to tell us that the mayor, who has two children was arrested on false charges, with no reason and the new mayor is the same man who not only got all those people killed at his resort when Ting-Hao erupted, tried to overthrow the administration of several years ago, has plans to start a manhunt for every single person with a quirk in this country, and should be in prison for the rest of his life is now in charge of this town? Oh, and let's not forget he's calling the whole potential volcanic eruption and the four deaths so far as the work of some kid with a quirk playing a prank and has ordered the USGS team to leave the town, without checking if the concerns are warranted?" Lena asked.

"Yeah." Buck answered, putting down his mug. "The judge who signed off on the arrest warrant, Sean Taft, he's like Weston, a firm believer in the Quirk Singularity Doomsday Theory, but he's also biased about people who come from low-class families, like Rachel's. You know, I've looked into that guys records, and he's one of several judges across the states that has it out for kids with quirks, but he's nothing compared to this one woman who gave out harsh sentences for minor offenses, mostly juveniles with quirks for things like urinating in public, lewdness in public and such, and had them shipped off to some facility in another state run by their cousin, and received plenty of kickbacks to finance their career."

"Wow, they sound like real assholes." Anthony smirked.

"You got that right kid." Buck agreed, taking another ship of his coffee. "I've already got enough headaches to worry about, what with my wife expecting a baby soon, the dead skiers and the two that were boiled in the hot springs, keeping everyone off the west slopes, the volcanic activity, now the new mayor and to top it all off I got a Japanese citizen in the town clinic unconscious and showing clear signs of assault with the intention to murder."

"What about the man who was assaulted?" Anthony asked.

"You'll have to ask the doc about that. I don't have a medical degree, not like his. Dr. Quinn can tell you more." Buck answered. "Listen, I know you kids are from UA and five of you are the Lightspeed Rangers, but you're still just kids, so try to have a little fun while you're out looking around the mountain. Oh, and before I forget, Rachel's mother-in-law lives at the lake further up the mountain. Might be a good place for your dog to stay and she did mention something to Peter, when he mentioned about checking out the mountain and the downed stations."

"Melissa, you, Lena, Tamaki and Mirio head up to the lake, check on Rachel's mother-in-law, take Cody with you. Anthony, TJ, you two find Doctor Slater and see if he's got any new information. Nejire and I will head to the clinic and check on the man who was attacked." Connor instructed, rubbing his eyes. "We'll meet up at the station at noon, Nighteye, Ryukyu and Fat Gum will be arriving later today, so we should gather all the necessary information we need before we take action."

The other rangers and UA students nodded, save for Tamaki who was still his usual self-doubting self and just wanted to go back to the lodge and crawl into bed, then left the sheriff's station. "Hey, kid. You doing, ok? You look like you didn't get enough sleep?" Buck inquired.

"I didn't. Let's just say that I had another set of 'unusual' dreams lately and they've been bugging the hell out of me." Connor answered and headed out of the sheriff's office with Nejire behind him. Looking up to the mountain, the Red Ranger thought back to the first dream he had, with the creature he saw in the fire in Mariner Bay towering over that city, but he shook his head and knew that it wasn't the same place. "Let's hope this doesn't result in a basalt eruption." He muttered and turned towards the direction of the clinic.

The moment he and Nejire arrived in the clinic, they were met with a surprise, well, more of a surprise for Connor. "Mrs. Midoriya!? Izuku!?" Connor exclaimed the moment he recognized the green hair of the two people standing at the reception desk.

"Connor!?" Izuku and his mother exclaimed at the same time, equally surprised at seeing the Red Ranger here in this mountain resort town.

"What are you doing here?" Connor asked. "What about UA?"

"I got permission from Principle Nezu to leave the school because of a family emergency." Izuku explained.

"Family emergency? Wait, don't tell me that…" Nejire began before her face turned into one of worry.

"Yeah." Izuku started. "My dad was attacked and beaten while he was away on a business trip, to this town."

"Oh god. Izuku, I didn't know." Connor said with concern, pulling his friend into a comforting embrace. "I didn't know it was your dad. If I had known I would have…" he started to say before Derric himself entered the clinic, flanked by his bodyguards and personal assistant, shoving past Connor and Nejire, making his way to the reception desk.

"Where's Doctor Quinn?" Weston demanded.

"He's treating a patient right now." The receptionist answered.

"Yeah, yeah, that's good and all, but I want to see the doctor now!" Weston barked.

"Ah, 'Mayor' Weston." Came the voice of Doctor Michael Quinn, a fifty-two-year-old man with black hair that was starting to grey, blue eyes and a face that looked like a frog, wearing typical doctor's attire. "To what do I ow the pleasure of this unscheduled visit." The doctor asked.

"I'm told you haven't removed that dangerous patient yet, the one who's got a quirk. I told you doctor, that man is a criminal and needs to be removed from this town before he causes any trouble." Weston said with a smirk.

"And I've told you that I'm not done treating his injuries." Michael answered with a sneer. "My duty is to my patients, not to someone who's taken the beliefs of unproven theory to the letter. That man has beaten so badly that it's a miracle he's not dead."

"Yeah, yeah, don't care. Get that monster out of here before he goes on a rampage." Derric said, shrugging it off.

"That's my husband in there! He's been attacked and you call him a criminal! He's done nothing to deserve this!" Inko shouted, ready to attack Derric but was held back by her son.

"Mom! Don't!" Izuku urged.

"Oh look, the man's wife and son are here. Perfect, another headache." Weston groaned. "Listen honey, your husband was found trespassing on private property. That's multiple laws broken and he's used his quirk illegally. I have the authority to remove whoever I want, whenever I want from my town and that's that."

"Actually, it's not." Buck said as he walked into the clinic. "You don't have the authority to remove any 'dangerous individuals' from this clinic or this town. You might be the replacement until Rachel is cleared of all charges, but until then, you need to follow the law that has been established."

"Is that so." Derric inquired. "You know, I can think of several people who would be better suited to be sheriff. I can only imagine what your wife would say if you lost your job, what with the baby that's due in who knows how long." He threatened, which got under Buck's skin.

"Uh, excuse me." Connor spoke up, getting the attention of both Derric and Buck. "Hi, look I don't know much about law and order, but maybe we can make a compromise. Once the patient has recovered, he can be moved the sheriff's office until the 'proper authorities can take him away." he suggested.

"Stay out of this kid." Derric snarled, shoving Connor back, only for Connor to grab and twist the man's arm. "Hey! What the hell are you doing!?"

"Sorry about that." Connor said innocently, letting go of Derric's arm. "Muscle memory and all that. I take martial arts and sometimes don't control my actions."

Derric just glared at Connor, fixing his jacket. "Just make sure it doesn't happen again, but if it does, make sure it's used on those who threaten our town." Derric said through gritted teeth, glaring directly into Connor's eyes, like he knew him from somewhere before he left the clinic, followed by his assistant and two bodyguards.

"What an asshole." Connor said under his breath, then turned to the doctor. "Doctor Quinn, I'm Connor Grayson. I'm a friend of the Midoriya's and the Red Ranger. Can you tell us exactly what happened to my friends' father?" he asked, whispering the part about him being the red ranger underneath his breath.

"I will. Please, come with me to my office, your friend, and his mother too. What about your friend?" Michael asked, gesturing to Nejire.

"She's with me." Connor answered.

"Alright, come with me." The doctor said, leading the group of four to his office.

Meanwhile, on the western part of the mountain, dozens of Batlings and Fire Lizards stood guard by a cave as Moltor and Trifire walked into the cave. "Here is where we shall give this mountain new life." Moltor said, walking down through the cave with Trifire right behind him. The further down they went, the more they felt the heat rising until they reached the core of the extinct volcano. Moltor's eyes flashed as red beams flew from his eyes and towards the ground, where he scanned what was beneath the surface until he finally found what they sought. "There! That is where you need to blast. Blow open a hole in the earth and you'll once again fill this dome with beautiful lava."

"Sounds like a plan, Moltor my man." Trifire said in agreement, conjuring up a ball of magma in his hands, pulled them back and then shot the ball of magma towards the ground, which echoed around the core, allowing pure magma to rise up from underground and started to fill up the chamber. "Now, let's see if we can't speed this up!" Trifire said with sadistic glee and launched more balls of magma towards the ground, creating more openings for the magma to rise up to the surface.

"Phase 2 is complete." Moltor said as he and Trifire walked out of the cave and back to the surface while the magma continued to rise.

At the same time, Koragg stood atop a cliff that was on the western side of the mountain, his wolf companion by his side and glared down at the abandoned Holter Energy drilling station which weren't as abandoned as everyone thought. The forests around the facility had been completely torn down, leaving nothing but tree stumps where the trees once stood, parts of the mountain side had been blown away by carefully placed explosives and pipes were now sticking out of the mountain from a large cave, which led down into the mountain.

The wolf growled at the sight as Koragg spotted the ones who had placed the traps like the one that caught the young wolf. Dangling over the side of one of the offices was the six-pointed star split in two halves, one reddish and one brown reddish as men and women, some of whom wore brownish frocks, a white monastic scapular cowls, and silver masks while others wore casual work clothes and tactical gear as forklifts loaded barrels onto trucks and tankers were being filled with black gold, better known as oil. These people were members of Humarise, a global cult that blindly believed in the Quirk Singularity Doomsday Theory. A theory that said as generations passed, Quirks would become too powerful and wipe out humanity.

"So, these are the ones who believe in an unproven theory." Koragg mused, glancing down at the members of this cult, who were armed to the teeth with military grade weapons from various countries, such as the FN FAL. "For a cult, they are well armed and organized, but what is their interest in this facility? This requires further investigation." He mused, casting a spell on his body that changed his appearance into one of the members of the cult, which caused the wolf he saved to growl at him. "You wait here, my young friend. I will be back." He assured the wolf who sat down and watched as the disguised Wolf Knight headed down the cliff and towards the facility.

Koragg wasn't the only one who was interested in the facility, for at the same time, beam of light landed in the forest several miles from the facility, revealing a silver and gold robotic figure with red visor, who then walked towards the facility. "My mission continues. I am to protect the environment and the earth." It said in a robotic voice.

Back in Angel Lake, Dr. Quinn was discussing the condition of Izuku's father with his mother and friends. "First off, I want to express my concerns as for the reason why your husband was attacked. Even in this day and age, there are still hundreds of people who target and attack people with quirks for no valid reason and it disgusts me. Thankfully, Mayor Phillips has been strong in her resolve to crack down on those who do such heinous acts to people like you father and husband." The doctor said with sincerity.

"What happened to Hisashi?" Inko asked.

"He was brought to the clinic late last Friday evening." Quinn began. "He showed severe signs of flogging on his back, clearly done with the intention to cause him pain. My best guess, it was a bullwhip that was used, given the markings on his back. He showed severe signs of starvation, which means he wasn't reported missing by anyone and was kept in the 'care' of his abductors for several days. He also has been slashed multiple times by a sharp blade, possibly a hunting knife or combat knife."

"Any idea who did this?" Connor asked, growing angrier and angrier by the second.

"We don't have any leads." Buck answered, having stayed with the group after Weston left. "Nobody in this town would have done something like this. Rachel has always voiced for coexistence between those who have quirks and those who don't, considering the last mayor before her was a believer in that quirk doomsday theory. Best guess, it was done by someone from out of town, but we haven't turned up any leads."

"What about any…" Nejire began.

"We did a check and there were no signs of that kind of assault, but someone used your father's phone to record the video of his torture and beating. We haven't been able to get a fix on the prints of the person holding the phone, probably wearing gloves, but we did find something on your husband's body." Buck answered, before he looked around the office. "We found a vial of some kind of liquid in your husbands' effects, but we don't have the gear to analysis it properly, but if I had to guess, based on the color and thickness of it, it's probably some kind of oil."

"Oil?" Izuku asked.

"Yeah, the kind of oil used in power plants, cars, and such. But we still need to get it analyzed. I sent it to the EPA office in Mariner Bay and should have the results back within a few days." Buck answered, then turned to Izuku and his mother. "Look, your husband must have had a good reason for carrying that stuff around, but until he regains consciousness, we're pretty much in the dark. Weston might want your husband removed from the town, but I'll move him to the sheriff's office and keep him in the medical wing, under constant guard. Our mayor might say your husband is a criminal, but I've learned from experience that jumping to conclusions is a good way to start a panic and that's the last thing anyone wants."

Nejire, Izuku, Inko and Connor looked at one another. Though they didn't know the sheriff like the rest of the town, they could tell that he was a man of great character, who always focused on his duty without letting any personal beliefs dictate his actions. "We'll trust you sheriff." Inko said.

"Ma'am. I promise that we'll do everything to find out who did this to your husband and make sure they are the ones put behind bars." Buck promised.

Connor, Nejire and Izuku looked at each other with a concerned look in their eyes. While they did trust Buck, something about this attack just didn't sit right with them and if oil was involved, what did it have to do with volcanic activity that was picked up?

As the noon approached, a helicopter flew around the mountain with Peter and Terry onboard the helicopter with several pieces of equipment. "Let's go a little lower and head for that rock formation over there." Peter said to the pilot through his headset.

"If I fly during my lunch break, I get overtime." The pilot reminded his passengers.

"Just do it." Peter said with a small snarl. The pilot did so, but the sensors still didn't show any signs of volcanic activity.

The helicopter hovered over the rock formation as Terry checked the sensors. "Minimal sulfur dioxide emissions. Nothing to worry about. We're green across the board. Peter, there's nothing to indicate there's any kind of activity down here. She's quiet." Terry reported.

Though he didn't say it, Peter wasn't so sure about the silent nature of the mountain. Just as the helicopter was about to leave, Peter spotted something in the distance, a plume of smoke coming from the western slope of the mountain. "Head over there, we need to check out that smoke plume." Peter ordered the pilot.

"No way, man. I've got another client waiting for me back in Fairview. Real important one, you want me to check it out, it'll cost extra." The pilot said, turning his helicopter back towards the town. Peter groaned and told the pilot he would pay them an extra five-hundred dollars, which was enough for the pilot to change his course towards the smoke.

Their actions were noticed by a few Batlings on patrol, one of whom rushed into the cave to Moltor and Trifire who were still inside, waiting for the volcano to heat up. "Ah, perfect, the core of the volcano is heating up nicely. Now to really turn up the heat!" Trifire said with a grin, raised his hands and shot a stream of fire from his middle mouth and into the core. As he continued to breathe fire, the Batling rushed to Moltor's side and whispered something into his ear.

"It seems a few humans have gotten too curious for their own good." Moltor said with a growl, then turned back to Trifire. "You keep heating up the volcano, I'll deal with them." he instructed as he stormed out of the cave and outside.

As the sun shined down on him, he spotted the helicopter approaching them. "You humans shouldn't have gotten involved." He said with a snarl, raised his hand and fired a blast of lightning from his hands towards the helicopter, which forced the helicopter to veer away, but not without any damage. A blast of lightning struck the tail rotor of the airborne vehicle, causing smoke to billow from the damaged section as the pilot fought for control. "Go and check the crash site for survivors and destroy them!" Moltor ordered the foot soldiers, who ran in the direction of the crash site.

At the same time, back in Angel Lake, TJ and Anthony asked everyone they met in town if they had seen Doctor Slater, but so far found that no one knew where he went or his current whereabouts. Ducking into an alley, Anthony brought up his morpher and contacted the other rangers. "Guys, no one's seen Doctor Slater since yesterday." Anthony reported.

"No one's seen him?" Lena asked.

"Not a trace. We even checked the motel, and the owner hasn't seen him either. Not since yesterday." TJ added. "Though there is some good news. Doctor Tatsumi arrived at I-Island not too long ago. The Rescue Bay/Lab and the rest of the Overdrive Zords have arrived. Hopefully, the work that he and Jessica are doing with them combining with the Lightspeed Megazord will be finished soon."

"Knowing my Papa, he'll be working overtime with the doctor on finishing up their work. Those two make an incredible team." Melissa said with confidence over the morpher.

"Guys, we got a bigger problem. The man who was attacked and admitted into the clinic is Izuku's dad." Connor told the other rangers. "Keep your eyes open for anyone acting suspiciously. Mirio, Amajiki, don't use your quirks unless you have to. Last thing we want is to put us in Weston's crosshairs."

"Got it." Anthony said, taking his morpher off his wrist and putting it back into his pocket before he and TJ went to grab a pair of snowboards before making their way to the station.

Up at Mirror Lake, Ruth was watching her grandchildren play with Roughy, Mirio, and Cody while Tamaki was sulking in the corner. "You two girls really think the mountain might blow up?" Ruth asked skeptically. "Look, I get that those USGS guys are doing their job, but I don't see how your plan of channeling the lava will help if the mountain is being reborn."

"And we understand that." Melissa answered. "But the fact remains that the possibility of an eruption is five percent. That margin might not seem like a big deal, but depending on where the lava might erupt from the ground, it will flow down the mountain and destroy everything in its path, including your cabin. You might not have a good relationship with your daughter in law, but I don't want to think about how your grandchildren will feel if you and your dog are burned by lava." She went on.

"We might be able to stop lava, but we can change the direction it flows." Lena added. "If we dig a trench from behind your house to the ravine, then we'll keep the lava from destroying your home and harming the town."

"Well, you make a good point, kid." Ruth admitted, turning her attention to Mirio, Grant and Lara chasing the two dogs through the snow, with Grant falling into the snow and inadvertently activated his quirk, which engulfed his entire body in flames. "Grant, you, ok?" Ruth called out to her grandson, rushing to his side.

"I'm alright, Grandma. Just tripped, that's all." Grant said, closing his eyes and recalling the flames back into his body, returning to normal. "That hasn't happened in a while. Good thing mom bought me clothing that doesn't burn away when my quirk is active."

"That's a relief, kiddo." Mirio said, picking the kid up off the ground. "You keep training hard and focus on school, you'll be a great hero just like All Might and all the others."

Grant smiled before he remembered something he needed to tell his mom, but since she was in jail, he decided to tell his grandma. "Grandma, you're not going to believe what I saw in the mines the other day." He said.

"Grant! You know you're not supposed to go into the mines! It's dangerous." Ruth scolded.

"I wasn't playing in the mine! I saw someone going into the mine with a bunch of crates." Grant said. "Someone placed a bunch of crates in the mine, and I saw them. I wasn't going to go into the mine, I know it's dangerous."

"Yeah, someone entered the mine with a bunch of crates. Good one." Lara scoffed, not believing her brother.

"I'm telling the truth. I saw some guys placing crates in the mine and then left after closing up the mine." Grant exclaimed. "I'm not lying, I know what I saw."

"Woah there, buddy." Mirio told the kid. "Calm down. We'll tell the sheriff and he'll have some people check it out. But right now, we got to go meet with the others at the station." He then turned to Ruth. "We'll be back to pick up Connor's dog in a bit, hope you don't mind the extra paws you got to look after."

"Don't worry about, I'm good with dogs." Ruth said with a smile before Tamaki finally moved from the corner and into the Rescue Rover, which then turned around and headed down the mountain.

By noon, the nine teenagers, including Izuku sat at one of the tables at the station. "So, what do we know?" Connor asked.

"We know that Izuku's dad was attacked by some people who tortured him and took a video of it. A video that's already been uploaded to the web. We also know that his dad had a vile of oil that the sheriff sent to the EPA guys in Mariner Bay. As for the motive for the attack, we got no clue." Melissa said.

"Derric Weston is somehow out of jail and was appointed mayor by a court order, while also demanding that people with quirks are removed from town immediately without any reason or probably cause. It's an illegal action that no one can do, not even a mayor." Anthony added.

"We know that Rachel Phillips was arrested for crimes she never committed or had any connection to." TJ added, pulling out his phone and showed the other rangers the news articles about Rachel's 'corruption'. "People who've met her are already condemning her for these crimes while others are claiming she's innocent, the ones who know her better."

"We've got four dead people, two who were boiled alive in the hot springs and two who disappeared when they went down the western slopes of the mountain which have been banned off limits by someone, probably Weston weeks before he arrived, but we still don't have any ideas as to the cause of what happened at the hot springs, or what damaged the seismometers and telemetry stations." Lena added.

"So that basically means we don't have any new information." Izuku said dejectedly.

"So, I guess we have to keep looking." Mirio said, but then noticed something odd. "Hey, it might just be me, but I'm seeing more and more of these guys in suits that Weston brought with him. These guys are acting like robots and it's kind of freaky."

"Yeah, I'm with Mirio on this one." Nejire added. "I tried talking to one earlier today, but all I got was something that sounded like robotic, but not anything I could make out."

"You don't think those men are Cyclobots or Quantrons?" Izuku asked. "If they are, then that means they could be coming the entire town looking for anyone they might consider a threat or even those with quirks they can steal to power up Olympius's monsters. Maybe Trakenna…"

"Woah there, Green Bean." Connor said to his friend, handing him a water, which Izuku drank rapidly. "I checked with Jason, Rick, Chris, Wes, and Jack. They've reported minimal to zero demonic activity. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but that means either those guys have something else cooking or their gearing up for something big."

"Maybe…" Izuku began before he noticed the water in his glass started to shake. "Earthquake!" he shouted.

"Take cover!" TJ called out as the ground started to shake and people started to panic. The entire quake lasted for a few seconds, but the damage it caused was devastating. Several people were injured and laying on the ground, windows were shattered, branches had fallen on top of several parked cars, but no one was seriously hurt. "Wow, so that's what an earthquake feels like."

"Must have been a 3.9 or a 4.2 on the Richter scale." Melissa observed.

"Hey!" Brianna called out to the kids as she, Ryukyu, Fat Gum and Nighteye ran towards them. "You guys ok."

"Just a little shaken." Lena said.

"At least we're not dead." Anthony added.

"Quake me when it's over." Connor deadpanned. "My brain is rattling around my head like no tomorrow."

"The damage is minimal, but Angel Lake hasn't shaken in years. An extinct volcano can't cause a quake like this." Ryukyu noted.

"Whatever caused this, we've got a lot or injured people." Brianna said. "Glynda and I can't raise Peter or Terry. We think their helicopter might have suffered engine trouble or something else."

"We'll go find him. If he's up there on the mountain, we'll find him." Connor said, with the others agreeing.

"Make sure you report anything unusual. The slightest detail can mean the difference between success and failure." Nighteye said, his eyes fixated on Izuku, who he knew from his contact with All Might that he was he inheritor of One For All, which he was training Mirio to be.

As the kids ran up the mountain, up at the crash site, Peter, Terry, and the pilot of helicopter surveyed the wreckage. "Well, at least we're alive." The pilot said with relief, mostly glad he got an extra five hundred dollars.

"Alive nothing." Peter scolded. "That was lighting that hit us was not natural. There aren't any clouds in the sky or signs of a storm."

"Yeah, well you're paying for my new helicopter." The pilot retorted.

"We need to get back to town." Terry said. "But we might have a problem." He said, pointing towards the incoming Lava Lizards and Batlings. "Anyone want to guess that it was these guys that shot us down?" he asked.

"Hey, I didn't sign up to fight some monsters! I'm out of here!" the pilot shouted, trying to run away only to find that he and the others were surrounded on all sides. "Crap."

A blast from the woods slammed into the back of one of the Lava Lizards and to their surprise as well as the surprise of the pilot, Peter, and Terry, emerging from the woods was the one and only protector of the environment and defender of Earth, Robo Knight of the Megaforce Rangers. "Stand down, monsters!" Robo Knight demanded, his blaster in hand and aimed at the monsters. The monsters turned their attention towards Robo Knight, allowing Peter, the pilot and Terry to flee the scene. "The humans have escaped, good. Now I can focus on dealing with you creatures." He said. The Battlings and Lava Lizards charged towards Robo Knight, who changed his blaster into a sword and charged towards the foot soldiers.

Catching the blade of a Batlings sword in his hand, Robo Knight kicked the foe away then swung his blade across the chest of another Batling. Several Lava Lizards opened their mouths and fired lasers at Robo Knight, but the protector of the environment rolled out of the way, leapt through the air, and swung his weapon at the creatures, cutting them down. "For Earth and the rangers!" Robo Knight shouted, charging back into battle.

As Robo Knight fought the monsters, Peter, the pilot, and Terry continued to run from their attackers, stopping for a moment to catch their breath. "Was that Robo Knight? Tell me that was Robo Knight?" Terry asked like a fan boy.

"Yeah, yeah that was Robo Knight." Peter said through gasps. "I thought he vanished after the Armada was defeated years ago. Guess if the Lightspeed, Space, Wild Force and Lost Galaxy Rangers are back, then I guess it's safe to assume that he'd return after who knows how long he spent deactivated." He then noticed the nearby ravine and looked down. "That's a long way down." He said, grateful that he hadn't fallen in it.

The snap of a branch alerted the three to the presence of someone else and all turned in the direction with the pilot drawing the pistol he had with him the entire time, only to relax when they saw that coming towards them was Connor, Izuku, Melissa, Nejire, Mirio, Tamaki, Anthony, Lena, and TJ. "Guessing you guys didn't feel the earthquake we had a few minutes ago?" Lena assumed.

"We barely noticed it kid. Considering that my helicopter was shot out of the sky by some kind of lighting from the ground." the pilot groaned. "I'm going to have buy a new chopper to replace the one that just crashed because someone wanted to check out a plume of smoke on the western side of the mountain."

"Hey! How were we supposed to know that someone would fire lightning at us and knock us out of the sky? Or that we would be surrounded by Batlings and Lava Lizards and end up being saved by Robo Knight?" Terry snapped.

"Robo Knight?" the teens shouted at once.

"Yeah, he saved us before things went from bad to worse." Peter said.

The rangers looked at each other before Melissa spoke up. "Alright, head back to town and give whatever data you collected to your boss. We'll make sure that no one else is attacked by those monsters." She said. The pilot was rather quick to run while Peter looked at the rangers with a nod and followed after the pilot with Terry behind him. Once the three of them were out of sight, Melissa brought her morpher up and contacted her father. "Papa, are you picking up any readings?"

"I'm afraid I've got bad news. I picked up an unusual increase in volcanic activity. I just ran a scan of the mountain, and it looks like the volcano is starting to heat up." David reported. "It's a small increase, not noticeable by normal scanners, but it is there."

"I'm having the rescue jet drop off your friends hero costumes. They have their provisional licenses and we've been given permission by their mentors for them to use their quirks." Jessica said over the communicator as the mini F-20 flew overhead and dropped off its care packages, which the Big Three grabbed the moment they landed.

"You three change, we'll go on ahead and assist Robo Knight. Izuku, you stay with us." Connor said.

"Got it. So, you going to ranger up now?" Mirio asked with a smile.

"Thought you'd never ask." Connor said and turned to the other rangers. "Ready?"

"Ready! Lightspeed Rescue!" they all shouted and morphed into their ranger suits, then rushed towards where Robo Knight was fighting, with Izuku right behind them.

Back in the cave, Trifire's fire finally died down as the three headed demon looked at his handywork. "Ah, perfect. Now I can watch my precious lava destroy the town below and then onto Mariner Bay!" the monster cackled.

Back outside the cave, Robo Knight cut down another Batling with his sword, but a few Lava Lizards managed to get around him and launched lighting from their mouths, this time hitting the warrior in the chest. To their surprise, Robo Knight wasn't damaged and returned fire with his sword in blaster mode, shooting several of them down. Pivoting around, he fired another blast from his blaster, gunning down a few more foot soldiers before a stream of fire knocked him to the ground, courtesy of Moltor. "You won't interfere with our mission, you metal fool." Moltor snarled, swinging his dual blades at Robo Knight who rolled out the way to avoid them. "You are just one machine against my army."

"You are wrong, monster." Robo Knight rebuffed, getting back to his feet. "A Power Ranger is never alone!" he declared, just as a few blaster shots slammed into Moltor's back, courtesy of the Lightspeed Rangers.

"Hey, Molty. Did yeah miss us? Be honest, you did." Lena teased.

"What are you rangers doing here!?" Moltor demanded.

"We we're about to ask you the same question, lava brain." Melissa retorted.

"It doesn't matter." Moltor retorted. "My part of the plan is done, the rest of you, destroy them!" he demanded, leaping high into the air and away from the battle.

"Let's do it!" Connor shouted, his blaster already in baton mode as he rushed into battle, followed by the other rangers and Robo Knight. Swinging his weapon, he cut down one Batling with a slash at the shoulder, then a punch to a Lava Lizards chest which he then kicked away with a hard side kick.

TJ threw a punch to a Lava Lizards stomach, then kicked it out from underneath its feet followed by another punch to the chest. Heat infused lasers flew from another Lava Lizards mouth, but TJ backflipped away from the lizards, drew his rescue blaster and fired at the monsters, sending them to the ground.

A few punches into the chest of a Batling from Anthony were enough to knock the grunt into a tree, who then leapt into the air, as did a Lava Lizard, but Anthony hit it with a flurry of while in mid-air, knocking the lizard down into the snow.

Lena fired her blaster at a Batling, then kicked another one away in the head, but a series of blasts from some Lava Lizards forced her to back flip several times, right into the waiting arms of several creatures. "Oh, you did not just grab me!" she snarled, elbowing one of the creatures holding her in the gut, followed by a swift kick to the groin on two different foot soldiers, her face flushed red under her helmet from where the creatures grabbed her.

Baton in hand and held in a reverse grip, Melissa raised her weapon and blocked several swords from coming down on her, then used her momentum to push the blades up away from her, followed by a leap over the monsters and landed behind them. "Blaster mode!" she shouted, switching her baton back into blaster mode and pulled the trigger several times, downing her attackers.

As for Izuku, he tried to keep out of the fight as much as possible, but some Batlings were quick to spot him and attack him, but the green haired boy wasn't afraid in the slightest. He raised his arms and blocked an attack from one Batling, then hit it with a strong sidekick, knocking it away. A sword was swung at him from another Batling, but he leapt back away from the enemy, then leapt forward with a strong punch the face, but soon realized that he was still outnumbered. "Uh, could I get some help here?" he called out.

"The boy!" Robo Knight exclaimed, leaping towards Izuku and fired his blaster at the Batlings, taking them down. "We must finish this battle at once!" Robo Knight shouted, blasting a Lava Lizard down. "My sensors have detected a large build up of heat coming from a cave not far from us." He reported.

"We're gonna need some back up first!" Connor shouted back as he and the other rangers joined Robo Knights side, the horde of enemies still large and impeding their progress. That is, until a spiraling surge of energy sent several of them flying in various directions, courtesy of the timely arrival of Nejire, Mirio and Tamaki, the last two of which were also in their hero costumes.

Mirio's costume consisted of a white skin-tight top with the number '1000000' stamped across the chest in a bold, yellow font, with the trimming on the top and shoulder pads in a similar fashion. On his waist, were two green lines that acted as a belt, with some similar looking lines on his shoulders that dipped in places to form two V's. He also wore baggy dark blue plants, white knee-high boots, a red cape, thick red gloves, and a white visor with yellow lenses.

For Tamaki, his costume consisted of a black bodysuit decorated with gold plating around the arms and shoulders, a white tunic with a matching cape and hood with more gold layering on the top, with the cape connecting to a scarf-like collar with a silver front mask. He also sported a purple mask over his face with a matching color carrier vest with red straps, a mask over his eyes and nothing on his feet, which explained why his lower half had taken the form of horse's legs which kicked a pair of Lava Lizards back.

"So, you guys impressed with our costumes? Be honest, I know you are." Mirio taunted the foot soldiers, before rushing towards them, then dived into the snow-covered ground, seemingly disappearing before he appeared in the middle of a group of Batlings, which he then punched. "POWER!" he roared.

Tamaki's hand had converted into oysters, which he used to bash away at the lizards and batlings, using his horse legs to keep himself on the move. "You guys head up the mountain! We'll deal with these things!" he shouted, not sounding depressed or even introverted.

"Got it! You guys be careful!" TJ shouted back as the rangers, Robo Knight and Izuku rushed up the mountain to the cave, with Connor being the last one to follow after giving Nejire a thumbs up.

"It seems that humans have evolved since the last time I was activated. I believe I will need to speak with Gosei about the status of world." Robo Knight observed as the Big 3 engaged the enemy in battle.

"Gosei is still around? What about his robot buddy, Tensou is around as well? The guy kind of reminds me of BB-8." Anthony asked.

"Questions later, mission now." Connor reminded as they reached the mouth of the cave. They were about to enter the cave, but a stream of fire shot from the cave towards them, knocking them down as Trifire stomped towards them. "Oh great, a Hell Knight."

"Ha! Not even close kid, but I like the nickname! The name's Trifire and I've got a gift for you, some lava bombs!" he shouted, conjuring up miniature lava bombs in his hands, then tossed them towards the rangers like bombs.

"Move!" Melissa shouted, diving out of the way of the bombs, as did the other rangers, Robo Knight and Izuku. "He's got a quirk!" she exclaimed.

"Thanks to Prince Olympius and the League of Villains, I'm more powerful then ever!" Trifire roared, throwing more bombs at the rangers.

"Robo Blaster!" Robo Knight shouted, raising his blaster, and fired at the bombs, destroying some of them, but not all of them. "My targeting systems can't target all the bombs!" he called out, noticing that one of the bombs was about to land right near Izuku. "Look out!"

Robo Knight dived towards Izuku and used his body to shield the quirk inheritor from the blast. "Danger! Systems damaged!" he reported, then looked to Izuku who wasn't injured. "Are you alright?"

"Y-yeah. I'm alright." Izuku answered, then looked to Robo Knight. "What about you? That's a nasty hit."

"The damage is minimal. I've already completed the necessary diagnostic and self-repair. I will manage, for now." Robo Knight assured the Quirk Inheritor, then stood back up. "Rangers! You need to douse the monsters' flames before we can take him down!"

"Got it!" Connor shouted then looked to the others. "I'll draw his attention; you guys spray him with the retardant." Before the other rangers could even respond, Connor rushed towards Trifire, getting the monsters attention. "Hey ugly! You couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with that aim! Maybe you should do some target practice!" he taunted.

"Why you little!" Trifire growled, conjuring up bigger lava bombs. "Try dodging these!" he shouted, throwing the bombs towards Connor, who rolled out of the way. "Stand still you damned human!"

"Why? I thought you could hit a moving target easily! Maybe you should try aiming!" Connor taunted again, this time getting in close to Trifire and hitting the monster with a few punches to the chest. "Maybe you should change career's, become a hair dryer instead of a monster." He quipped, backflipping away from the three headed monster, just in time for Melissa to fire the extinguisher piece of the Rescue Bird, while Lena, Anthony, and TJ fired their blasters at Trifire, causing the monster pain while Melissa sprayed him with the extinguisher, knocking out the monster's fire breath.

"Time to finish this!" Melissa said, with the other rangers bringing the other components of the Rescue Bird together to form the Unilaser.

"Allow me to assist you rangers." Robo Knight said, taking his morpher from his waist and attached it to his blaster, then inserted a card into his morpher, which had image of a vulcan barrel. "Summon Vulcan Cannon." he said, pressing the code 8-1-8 into his morpher.

"Summon Vulcan Cannon." a voice echoed as Robo Knight attached the piece to his blaster and took aim at Trifire, after inserting another card into his morpher and inputting the code 4-7-4.

"Knight Dynamic, activate!" he shouted, his blaster locked on Trifire.

"Ready!" TJ and Anthony shouted.

"Aim!" Lena and Melissa added.

"Calamity Breaker!" Connor shouted and pulled the trigger.

"Knight Dynamic! Fire!" Robo Knight shouted and pulled the trigger of his own weapon. The Vulcan barrel spun around, before multiple blasts flew from the smaller barrels and slammed into Trifire, followed by a more powerful blast from the central barrel. Both attacks made their mark and destroyed Trifire, turning him into multiple pieces. "Threat eliminated!"

"Way to go guys!" Mirio shouted as the Big Three arrived. "Sorry we're late, but we had a bit more work to take care of."

"Hey, hey!" Nejire said, getting in Robo Knights face. "Are you a Power Ranger? You look like a robot. How can a robot be a Power Ranger? Do you have a mode that makes you look like a human? Can you become a Megazord like Koragg?" she asked.

"I am Robo Knight. Protector of the Environment and Defender of Earth. An ally of the Power Rangers, now and for all time." Robo Knight answered. "My creator, Gosei repaired and restored me for he knew there would be a day when I would be needed again."

A card flew down towards the remains of Trifire as Jinxer, from the Skull Cavern chanted his resurrection spell. "Volcano smoke and lava flow. Make the Trifire monster grow!" he chanted.

The remains of Trifire transformed into small bats the combined together, bringing Trifire to life once more and ready for battle. "We'll play Q and A later; we got work to do!" Connor exclaimed the moment he saw the big monster.

"Time to go big, Rangers." Robo Knight stated, slotting a card into his morpher then punching in the code 2-6-2. "Summon Knight Brothers." Out at sea, the head of a sea lion merged with a cruiser out at sea, becoming the Sea Lion Mecha Zord while the head of a flying lion merged with an airship, becoming the Sky Lion Mecha Zord. Once more, Robo Knight slotted a card into his morpher and inputted the code 7-1-7. "Change card, activate. Robo Knight morph."

"Robo Knight Morph." Echoed a voice as Robo Knights feet shifted upwards and his head retracted into his chest, forming the head of a mechanical lion.

"Lion Mecha Zord, online!" Robo Knight announced as he flew off, and merged with a dump truck, creating a silver dump truck with the head and claws of a lion, joining his other zords which sped towards Trifire. "Rangers, call your zords!" Robo Knight instructed.

"Rail Rescues! On Track!" Connor shouted into his morpher.

Rising up from waves besides the reconstructed Battlefleet Battleship, the rescue bay rose up from the ocean and opened up its berths, followed by the tracks rising from the ocean allowing the Rail Rescues to launch from the bay, couple together and steam down the tracks and the rescue rail network tracks towards Angel Lake, leaving the city behind before coming to a stop in the mountains.

The rangers and their friends ran to the Rescue Zords and jumped into the cockpit of their zords. Izuku was with Connor, Mirio with TJ, Anthony with Tamaki, and Melissa with Nejire, while Lena was left alone. "Megazord Mode, Lightspeed!" Connor shouted, bringing the zords together to form the Lightspeed Megazord.

"Mecha Zords, combine!" Robo Knight shouted, bring his own zords together. First, the Sky Lion and Sea Lion Mecha Zords shifted into a pair of legs, then the center of the Lion Mecha Zord shifted upwards and formed a torso followed by the wheels separating and forming a pair of arms. Finally, Robo Knight shifted and formed a head with a blue face and red eyes. "Gosei Grand Megazord, Ready!" Robo Knight announced.

"Wow! This is so cool! I never thought I would be in the cockpit of a Megazord!" Izuku exclaimed.

"Yeah, it's pretty cool, but no time for fanboying out, we got work to do." Connor reminded his best friend.

Trifire roared as he brought his hands together and created a massive ball of magma which he sent towards the two megazords, hitting them both in the chest. "What was the name of that show with all the destruction you humans like so much? Dragon something? Well, you're about to take part in the real dragon show now!" Trifire roared, charging towards the two megazords, stopping when he was close enough and unleashed a barrage of fire from all three of his mouths.

"We're going to be roasted like marshmallows at this rate!" Lena called out as sparks erupted from within the cockpit of the megazord. "He's way more powerful than before!"

"If only we could powerlink or something!" Connor growled through gritted teeth.

Suddenly, to the surprise of everyone, even Trifire, a large orange drilling vehicle emerged from the ground, directly underneath Trifire's feet with the monster grabbing his foot in pain as the Drill Driver charged towards the three headed monster. "Talk about good timing." Connor said with surprise.

"Rangers!" Jessica shouted over the communicator. "Use the Drill Driver! It can combine with the Megazord!"

"Seriously!" The rangers exclaimed.

"Guess we got a driller now." Mirio said in an attempted joke.

"Alright! Drill Driver! Combine!" Connor shouted.

(Start Synchro Summoning Theme)

Running forward, the Lightspeed Megazord ran alongside the Drill Driver as it drove up a small hill, then flew through the air before it slid up the Megazords right arm, locking into place. The drill head spun around for a few moments before stopping as the new Megazord stood tall with the symbols of the Overdrive and Lightspeed Rangers appearing behind it.

"Lightspeed Megazord! Drill Mode! Let's Rev It Up!" the rangers and hero's in making shouted together.

(End theme)

"And just to even the odds, here's a little boost for you Robo Knight!" Melissa called out, summoning the racer and jet mini-zords which formed their weapon modes and fell into the Gosei Grand Megazord.

"Many thanks, rangers." Robo Knight said as the two megazords glared at Trifire.

"Have a little barbeque on me!" Trifire roared, unleashing another torrent of fire at the megazords, but this time Robo Knight raised the Skyboom shield, blocking the flames and allowing the Lightspeed Megazord to fire the cannon on it's left arm, covering Trifire in retardant that took away his flames. "Not again!" he spat, trying to spit the retardant out of his mouth, but to no avail.

The Lightspeed Megazord then charged in, slamming its fist and new drill arm into Trifire, knocking the monster back multiple times. "Let's finish this creep off for good!" Connor shouted, pushing his blaster grip forward and powering up the drill.

The drill spun rapidly as it charged up to full power until a full charge was acquired. Dashing towards the three headed monster, the Lightspeed Megazord drew back it's right hand and thrusted the drill into Trifire's body, sending him flying backwards.

"Knight Star Dynamic!" Robo Knight shouted, flying through the air with his new blade powered up and slashed Trifire across the torso, then landed as the monster himself fell down face first and exploded. "Threat eliminated." Robo Knight announced.

The explosion from the battle was observed by Derric who was none too pleased that the Power Rangers were snooping around 'his' town and knew that it would spell trouble. "I better let him know." Derric muttered to himself before he went back into his new office.

Back on the mountain, Robo Knight stood before the rangers, Big Three, their mentors and Izuku. "Thank you again for helping our interns and Izuku." Ryukyu said with a bow.

"No thanks are necessary ma'am; I was doing my duty." Robo Knight answered. "Tell me, have you investigated the western slope of the mountain yet?"

"We're being stonewalled by the ban for anyone going on that side of the mountain. Based on what we were told, sounds like Weston closed them off for some reason." Fat Gum answered.

"You need to investigate that part immediately. The recent volcanic activity is only part of the problem, a group of dangerous individuals are conducting an illegal operation that is threatening the town and the environment." Robo Knight answered.

"Illegal operation?" Connor asked.

"I will investigate. The rest of you, be on your guard. I suspect the new mayor of this town is involved." Robo Knight said, turned around and walked away. "Should you ever require my assistance, I will be there to assist you. After all, we all share the same goal, protecting the earth."

As Robo Knight walked away, the others couldn't help but smile at the new ally they had made.

Skull Cavern

"Ha! Those rangers have no idea they've just done us a big favor by destroying Trifire!" Ivan cackled.

"Indeed, though the new formation is concerning, it doesn't matter. Ghouligan has already finished his part of the plan and now we must wait for the mountain to build up enough pressure, before we proceed to the final phase of the plan." Olympius added, then looked around the throne room, glancing towards Elgar. "Elgar! Where is Koragg!?"

"What do I look like, his mother?" Elgar answered, getting a nasty glare from the demon prince. "Ah, don't answer that. I haven't seen him all day!"

"It doesn't matter. Koragg will remain loyal to us, no matter how dishonorable the methods we use are." Olympius said with a smirk.

Angel Lake

Down on the mountain, Koragg had managed to infiltrate the Humarise operation and looked around before he continued further into the facility. "Let's see what these individuals are planning." He said to himself.

And the chapter is finished.

First off, I want to express my condolences for the people killed in the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse. A terrible tragedy and my heart goes out to the families of those that were lost.

Anime Boston this year was a blast! I got three new models, a few figurines and the autographs of Malie Flanagan, Cristina Vee, Michelle Ruff, and Kristen McGuire, got my picture taken with them and Natalia Rial and oh man did I see a lot of awesome cosplays this year. I went as Deacon St John from Days Gone; a game that makes me want to get the PS5 even more. Again, I am really hoping the woman who voices Nejire is a guest next year. I really want to meet her, and I am kind of hoping that I get some autographs of Belfast and Nejire.

Alright, chapter wise, we now have the introduction to Humarise, the group from the third MHA movie. I figured I would bring them in early and try to expand on their activities more. But what do they want with old oil drilling operation?

Who does Derric Weston need to report to about the rangers?

What does the oil that Izuku's father have to do with this?

Who is Frank Benson?

Well, those answers will have to wait.

Other than that, Robo Knight has arrived and the Lightspeed Megazord has a new formation.

Well, next chapter, things are going to really be heating up next chapter, and not just because of the Volcano.

Until next time, please read and review.
