Sorry I kept you all waiting for the new chapter. One of my neighbors passed away at the end of last month and he was sort of like a second grandfather to me and I've always been willing to help him out during the winter with shoveling his stairs and driveway, mowing his lawn and anything else he needed help with.

On another note, I finally managed to visit my grandma's grave after two years and one month after she passed. Compared to when I visited my grandpa after he died, I didn't cry as much as I did then.

Anyway, onto another chapter of the Sports Festival. But onto the worlds I mentioned I want to use, I plan on using Azur Lane, Fire Force and Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka, but should I use any of the other series I mentioned? I'll be putting a poll on my profile for all of you to vote on, but that will be posted once the chapter is completed.

I've got plenty of new games to play, the Bioshock series and Bullet Storm.

But first onto the reviews.

DCD Gojira: Thank you and you'll find out why I mentioned Top Gun and Macross when it came to the what the NASADA guy was asking Connor about. Going to say this, but I love the F14D Super Tomcat and it is a bird I wish they never retired. Also, Toonami is coming back to a weekday showing? About God damn time, but they won't be showing Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, Sword Art Online or My Hero Academia.

Luffy L Deathwalker: Who says I'm going to use them all? I've already got three of them lined up, one of which will involve Connor and Nejire having a sort of fairy tale moment when their adventure is complete.

Monster King: Thanks.

Aztec 13: What Jinxer found was based on something from Gogo V. Remember those golden growth cards he would often throw at some monsters? They never explained it in Lightspeed, but in Gogo V, they did, and I am using that as part of the story. Rito cheering for Izuku, well, he is an idiot and all that. Of course, Connor would be cheering for his best friend. If he's not partaking in the games, he'll be cheering for his friend.

Ed: One of several choices.

Edmonton58: I've been thinking about the possibility of Izuku becoming a ranger and I might have an idea or two about that idea.

StarDracofire: At the moment, I am not certain which other worlds I'll use for the rangers to travel to, but if they go to Earthland, I can tell you that Natsu would definitely vomit when he sees the Lightspeed Zords.

Aklike95: Thank you for the reviews and while you have so many questions, let me first say that if that was Dark Specter, then he wouldn't be around for one chapter, considering he is the monarch of all evil and that. While Koragg is back, he is not Leanbow and the Psycho Rangers will appear, but not just yet. I agree, they are dangerous though and their debut, oh let me tell you that it's not going to be pleasant.

Alright, let's get started. Disclaimers are the same as before. Please enjoy.

Chapter 24: Shinso vs Midoriya

Super Rescue Lab/Rescue Bay

"That's a wrap for the morning festivities, folks. Now it's time for an hour lunch break before we move onto the afternoon activities!" Mic shouted as Diabolico, Loki, Mondo, Mint, Loyax, and Jessica watched the first act of the sports festival off one of the lab monitors.

"I must admit, this sports festival is unlike anything I've ever seen in my lifetime." Diabolico said, maintaining his human disguise. "Compared to the time of the old Lightspeed Rangers, I'm practically on the edge of my seat."

"Yeah, I agree with you on that, my friend." Loki agreed. "If we were released today, we'd probably be planning on crashing the event and causing destruction. But now, I'm glad I'm not working for Olympius or his mother."

"It seems that Villamax's teachings have given young Shinso an impressive advantage. Forming a team without using his quirk was honorable, but I'm not sure two of his teammates will want to move onto the next round." Loyax noted.

"Perhaps." Diabolico added. "But I am amazed that young Midoriya was able to stay in the running despite losing the ten million points." He paused for a moment. "I think I would like to view the games in person for the remainder of the day."

"Well, if you're going, then I'm going with you." Loki said, getting up from his seat as his eyes glowed and his appearance changed. He was now a human with fair, yet pale skin, white, swept back hair that put the emphasis on a fierce, yet stoic expression, despite his personality and blue eyes. His apparel consisted of a black buttoned black coat with two separate coattails, a gold serpentine pattern that ran around the collar, a gold lining that ran across the edges of the coat, with a silky, lighting bolt pattern decorated the inner line. The cuffs of his coat were decorated with black buttons while underneath his coat, he wore a black ascot around his neck, which hung over a black sleeveless vest that revealed his well-toned arms, tan fingerless gloves, a gold snakeskin belt with a black belt, dark black pants and tall boots with a lightning pattern running along the surface and tall black boots with golden buckled straps at the top. "Bet you didn't think I was going to show up at UA in my demon form, were you? I don't want security to think I'm a villain." Loki stated.

"Where have I seen that form before?" Jessica mumbled to herself.

"I'll tell you all about it later." Loki told the young scientist, before teleporting away with Diabolico, later materializing in the box where Nezu was viewing the sports festival from. "Sorry to drop in unannounced, sir. But we wanted to see the finally in person." Loki told the principle.

"It's quite alright." Nezu assured. "In fact, I was planning on calling Mondo to see if you two would like to come to the stadium in person. Considering that you two are our allies and have been helping train my students, I see no harm."

"Thank you for your understanding." Diabolico thanked the principle, taking a seat by the principle, as did Loki while down below in the stadium, the students went to the cafeteria for a quick bite.

Stadium Tunnel

Shoto had pulled Izuku away from the rest of the students and talked with his rival. "… I was overwhelmed by your strategy, your teamwork. Iida, Kaminari and Yaoyorozu, none of them could see it, but I nearly broke the promise I made to myself so long ago." Shoto told Izuku.

"About not using your flames?" Izuku guessed.

"Yes. In that moment when I saw you coming back for your headband, I felt the heat start to build up inside me. It took all my willpower to keep it suppressed. It almost made me lose my cool. Seeing your power back during the obstacle course, it reminded me of something I've witnessed before… the power of All Might's Quirk back at the USJ and the power of your best friend." Shoto explained.

"I-is that all?" Izuku trailed off.

"Your power is a lot like All Might's. Tell me something, Midoriya… are you All Might's secret love child?" Shoto asked bluntly.

"Am I… WHAT!? No! No, I'm not, that's not it at all! But I guess you could say that our powers are similar, but that's the only thing we have in common. But if I had to guess, you wouldn't believe me if I told you the truth." Izuku quickly responded. "But why would you even think that about me?"

"My father is Endeavor, you've heard of him, haven't you?" Shoto began. "So, if you're connected to the Number One Hero, in any way, that means I have a lot more reason to look forward to our next match." The half-and-half user answered with a smile. "Don't get me wrong, I am aiming for the top, but I want to face you one on one, so I can prove something to myself and to my father."

In another part of the stadium, said Flame Hero was currently sulking in the hallway as he saw there was no point in staying in the stands during the break. As he made it down a flight of stairs, a certain voice caught his attention. "Yo." This caused Endeavor to stop in his tracks, turn around and stared at the man he considered his rival. "Long time, no see. Let's catch up, Endeavor."

"All Might." Endeavor said with a glare, the flames around his head and collar. "It hasn't been that long."

"It has been a decade since that Hero Council Meeting. I saw you here and decided to say hi." All Might said cordially, not caring about Endeavor's tone of voice to him.

"Did you now? Well, if that's all you came for, then we're done here. Chatting like we're old friends, what a joke." The Flame Hero growled.

"AH-HAHAHA!" All Might chackled with signature laugh and vaulted over the flame hero, twisting in mid-air before landing with his back facing Endeavor, his arms out to his sides and spun around. "Come on, why the cold shoulder? You should be thrilled. Your son is doing very well out there, using only half his power. You must be an excellent teacher."

"Are you implying something?" the flame hero said with a sneer.

"No! I want to know your secrets! How do we train the next generation of heroes." All Might explained, his smile not faltering a bit.

Endeavors scowl didn't fall even after All Might asked his question. "Do you really think I would tell you anything I taught the boy? You're all flash and no brains as usual. Outta my way." He said, more aggravated than he already was, but still All Might's smile didn't fade away even as the number one hero stepped aside.

Endeavor, however stopped briefly, then glanced back at All Might. "Let me assure you, All Might. Whatever it takes, my son of mine will beat you someday. I'll make sure of it. That is why I made him, after all." the flame hero said.

That comment was what finally made All Might's smile fade. "You did what?"

"He's in a rebellious phase right now, but he will take your place. You can count on it, and you can be damn sure that he'll prove he's superior to the rangers." Endeavor finished, then continued to walk away, but All Might once again leapt over him and stood in front of the flame hero.

"I heard you don't think to highly of the Power Rangers, but thanks to Young Grayson and his team, Angel Lake was saved from a terrible fate, a fate that was caused by corporate greed, xenophobic fear and demons." All Might said. "Why is it that you despise the rangers? They've saved countless lives without…" he began, only making Endeavor's flames surge.

"They think this is all a game!" the flame hero bellowed. "They claim to be protecting the people, but they are just playing heroes and making us look like nothing more than the characters from old comic books. We are real heroes. They are just children who shouldn't even be attending UA. I've already filed a complaint with the Safety Commission, and they will be removed from UA, mark my words All Might. The days of the rangers are over."

"Let me ask you something, Endeavor. Would you be able to destroy a monster the size of a building? Put out fires with your quirk? Stop a volcanic eruption?" All Might questioned. "Young Grayson and the rest of the rangers are the only ones who can take on Olympius and those like him. Besides, if anything, they have proven they are heroes and are not interested in becoming famous. It's what his parents would do."

The two heroes glared at each other, as if a spark of lighting was flying from the others eyes before they left without another word.

Back with Shoto and Izuku, Connor was looking for his best friend, when he happened to overhear the remainder of Shoto's conversation to Izuku. "My old man is ambitious; he aims for the top. He used his power to make a name for himself as a hero. But he was never able to beat All Might, so the Symbol of Peace is living proof of his failure." Shoto began, his eyes shifting to the side as he watched the students head for the cafeteria. "He's still at it, though, trying to take All Might down, one way or another."

"What are you saying Todoroki?" Izuku asked, still not understanding what his classmate was trying to tell him.

There was a long pause before Shoto took a deep breath and explained. "Have you ever heard of Quirk Marriages? They became a problem in the first few generations after superpowers became widespread. There were those who sought out potential mates with the intention of creating powerful children." He began. "Many people were forced into relationships. They were simply viewed as old-fashioned arranged marriages. But clearly, it was unethical."

'You're damn right it's unethical.' Connor thought to himself, then noticing Bakugo nearby.

"My father doesn't only have a rich history of accomplishments, but plenty of money to throw at his problems. He bought my mother's relatives to get his hands on her Ice Quirk. And now… he's raising me to usurp All Might." He continued, clenching his fist. "I refuse to be a tool for that scumbag. In every memory of my mother, I can only see her crying. I remember her calling my left side unbearable before she poured boiling water on my face." His hand then moved to the scar on his face, a reminder of that day. "The only reason I'm picking a fight with you was to show my old man what I was capable of doing. Without having to rely on his damn fire quirk. I'm going to show him that I reject his power and take first place without using it."

Izuku was at a loss for words. He knew Endeavor was an ambitious hero and considered All Might a rival, but hearing everything that Shoto just told him completely shattered his image of Endeavor. "But that doesn't change the fact that I'm going to keep my word. I will face you in the finals and I will defeat you, using only my right side."

Todoroki walked away, but his conversation with Izuku made Connor clench his fist and was about to walk out and tell Shoto how he felt about what he just heard, but Izuku beat him to the punch. "Wait! Todoroki! I'm only here because I've been supported by so many others. In fact, I've had more help ever since I came to UA." Izuku exclaimed. "You might not know this, but the reason I keep breaking my bones is because my quirk emerged later than other people because it's so powerful. That's why I have to work twice as hard then everyone else." He then calmed down, took a deep breath. "Because of this, I was bullied all the way through Junior High School because I was considered quirkless. That's why I won't give up, no matter what! I have people who believe in me, and I won't let them down."

Shoto smirked at Izuku's statement, then glanced back at Connor who emerged from the corner. "Well, no matter what happens, I will see you in the finals."

As Shoto walked away, Connor walked up to his friend. "Sorry I eavesdropped. But I was looking for you. I mean, sure you lost the ten million points, but you and the rest of your team are moving onto round two, you should be proud of yourself." He told his best friend.

"I am Connor, but the battles are only beginning." Izuku answered.

UA Cafeteria

After the two joined up with the other rangers and Class A, they retrieved their choice of food and sat down at an empty table. There was silence as Connor picked up his food, a slice of pizza and was about to take a bite when Yaoyorozu spoke. "Connor, I… that is to say we, as an entire class heard about what happened at Angel Lake, how you came face-to-face with the man who ordered your parents death." She began.

"Yeah, that must have been hard." Toru added. "I bet you really wanted to kill him."

"That's the thing." Connor said, putting his pizza slice down. "I wanted to make him suffer. Everything that he did to me and who knows how many others, I wanted to put a bullet right between his eyes." He put a hand to his wound. "But thanks to Izuku and Nejire, I don't smell like gunpowder and blood. Revenge wouldn't have changed anything, and I believe I made the right call."

"A Power Ranger using their abilities for revenge doesn't sound very heroic to me." Iida pointed out. "You're supposed to protect people, not search for revenge."

"I'm certain that's the last thing he would want." Shinso said as he walked over and stood by Class A's table. "Listen, I want to apologize for what I said to your class last month, about how I thought you were all full of yourselves. No one should have been attacked by villains and I'm certain if the roles were reversed, you guys would do the same thing." He held out his hand to Izuku. "How about we start over. My name's Hitoshi Shinso."

"Oh, I'm Izuku Midoriya." Izuku answered, shaking Shinso's hand. "I look forward to seeing what you can do in the second round."

"So am I." Shinso said with smirk, then walked away, but not before sending Connor a wink, telling him all that the Red Ranger needed to know about what Shinso was going to do in the next round.

"So, you guys got any idea what the next round is going to be?" Connor asked. "You guys should remember; I've never really seen the sports festival before."

"Don't know, man." Kirishima answered. "Last year the second round was a foam sword fighting competition. They change it up every year, so whatever the game is, we'll just have to wait and see."

"Hopefully they won't be using Photon Swords or anything like the Mega Voyager and Mega Wingers beam blades. Those things are dangerous, and I don't think the technology for is available on Earth." Alpha said as he walked into the cafeteria, a medical scanner in hand.

"Hey, Alpha! It's been a while. How are things?" Melissa asked the robot.

"Oh, nothing to complain about." Alpha assured the pink ranger. "Ai-yi-yi, but I still can't believe that Olympius was able to awaken an extinct volcano. That should be impossible, but if someone like this Ivan Ooze was able to help him, I have a feeling that he's after something else then just quirks."

"So, what's the scanner for, Mr. Roboto?" Kaminari asked with a tease in his voice.

"Just checking Connor's wound." Alpha answered, holding up the scanner and sent a beam over Connor's wound, and waited for a few seconds before he had the results. "Your wound's all healed. You can remove the bandages at the end of the day."

"Well, that's good." Nejire said with a smile, holding her own tray of food in her hands. "Last thing you need is to be shot in the same place again."

"Amen to that." Connor said with smile, a smile that Kaminari noticed and smirked. "What?"

"Dude, how did you hook up with a major hottie like her?" Kaminari asked, practically screaming jealously.

"We're just friends." Connor said in defense. "We're not dating or anything. Besides, if anything she reminded me what I've accomplished and I ow her that much."

"Whatever you say, man." Kaminari said with a shrug. "So, what about Koragg? I heard he helped you guys out and he's got a wolf with him now. Does that mean he's going to be even more dangerous?"

"Don't know." TJ answered, drinking his water. "It's still a mystery why he helped us, but maybe it was just a ploy, to get us to let our guard down. He's an interesting one, that's for sure."

"One should never let their guard down, especially with a foe like Koragg." Momo said.

Izuku however, was more curious about why Koragg helped them. He was an enemy of the Mystic Force Rangers, later revealed to be the great Leanbow, father of the Red Mystic Force Ranger and husband of the White Mystic Ranger, who was infused with the Master's dark influence, erasing everything of Leanbow until he was reminded by his wife of who he was, eventually breaking free of the darkness that held him. How Koragg was able to return to the land of the living was beyond his comprehension and created more questions than answers.

Yet, there was a part of Izuku that was glad that Koragg had a sense of honor, something that many villains lacked, even going as far to say he admired Koragg's honor, but he knew that someone like him was a dangerous opponent, even for someone like All Might.

Hosu City

Standing atop one of the large buildings, Koragg placed his shield down and casted a magic spell onto the rooftop, creating a projection of the UA stadium directly onto the roof. "Going anywhere near UA would cause unnecessary violence and disrupt the games. To understand what these children are capable of, I will observe from a distance." He told his wolf companion, who was munching on a piece of meat. "Now, let's see what the games have in store for the young students."

UA Stadium

After the lunch break had ended, the stadium was refilled to capacity as Present Mic, who had also returned to his usual seat spoke into the microphone. "Get those foam fingers in the air, sports fans! It's almost time for the final round. But first, we have good news for the students who didn't make the cut, after all it is a sports festival. We prepared some fun and exciting side games for everyone to partake in." the DJ announced, as a everyone's attention soon turned to a cavalcade of woman dressed in UA cheer uniforms, holding pompoms, and doing a cheer. "We even brought in cheerleaders from America to get your blood pumping."

To the annoyance of Jiro, she saw that a certain electric user was smiling mirthfully at the sight of the cheerleaders, probably wishing that he had come up with a plan to get the girls in Class 1-A to wear those uniforms. Flinging her jacks, she jabbed them into Kaminari's funny bone, making him cry out in pain. "Agh! What the hell Jiro? What'd you do that for?"

"That's for thinking something dirty and perverted." Jiro said with smirk of her own.

"Have fun competing in the side games, everyone! But don't worry, once they're over, the sixteen students from the top four teams will be duking it out in one-on-one tournament style matches. But first, cast your eyes to the sky as you're in for a sight you don't want to miss." The DJ shouted. Everyone, even the cheerleaders who had finished their routine turned their eyes to the sky as flying over the stadium with it's whistle blowing was the airborne Rail Rescues, flying over the stadium. "Though they aren't competing the games, The Power Rangers have decided to give us a flyover with their biggest and most powerful megazord. Thanks kids, now let's get onto the matches that you don't want to miss."

From their seats, rangers looked to each other with surprise, having not heard anything about the Rail Rescues doing a flyover the stadium like they were military jets and assumed, that it was Mondo's idea or Principle Nezu's idea, even Alpha and Nejire were at a loss for words, but turned their attention back to the stadium as Midnight walked up onto the stage and spoke. "Come closer and draw lots to see who you're up against. Then enjoy the pleasure of watching the recreational games before we start. The sixteen finalists have the option of participating in the games or sitting out to prepare for battle. I'm sure you'll want to conserve your stamina, after all." The R-Rated hero said, handing lots out to the teams in the order they placed in during the calvary battle.

To the surprise of his fellow classmates, Ojiro announced that he was withdrawing from the finals, claiming that he couldn't partake in the finals because of how he managed to get into the finals and that he was being used by someone. Even Nirengeki Shoda from Class-B withdrew for the same reasons.

Shinso knew why they were withdrawing and couldn't blame them. Though he didn't brainwash them, they never really had a chance to show off their quirks during the calvary battle. He glanced towards the stands, where Villamax was watching from one of the tunnels who knew exactly what Shinso was feeling and as if by telepathy, told the young Magna Defender that he did nothing wrong, to either student.

"Those two…" Kirishima began.

"Are so manly." Tetsutetsu added, both of them fighting back the tears in their eyes.

Up in the stands, Connor leaned in close to Nejire who was sitting with them in the 1-A seats. "Are they allowed to do that?" he asked.

"It is, but the umpires from other years have always tried to talk those students out from withdrawing and succeeded. But it's mostly up to Miss Midnight." Nejire answered, then felt a shiver down her spine. "I hope she doesn't offer those who withdrew any 'extra lessons."

"What kind of extra lessons?" TJ asked.

"Well, they mostly involve escape training. Given the nature of Miss Midnights costume, she often goes too far when it comes to the bindings." She answered.

"You mean she teaches students how to escape in the event they get captured?" Lena asked with widen eyes.

"Yeah, and like I said, she does tend to go a bit too far, given her costume's motif and her own interest in things 'kinky'. I still remember the time she had me bound and gagged so tight, that my body nearly turned blue." Nejire admitted, getting the rangers to sweat nervously.

Speaking of said teacher, she was silent for a few minutes before she finally gave her answer to Ojiro and Nirengeki. "This kind of talk is incredibly naïve, my boys…. THAT REALLY TURNS ME ON! Ojiro! Shoda! You are hereby withdrawn!"

'Did she just say this turns her on?' was the thought of every student, even those in the stands and those who weren't partaking in the games until it was their day, even the monsters watching the games from the Skull Cavern.

"Now then, we'll need to move two students from the fifth-place team, so we have enough contestants." Midnight stated.

From the students, Kendo raised her hand. "We were frozen for most of the time. Honestly, we barely did anything in the calvary battle, isn't that right girls?" Kendo stated, turning to her teammates who gave an affirmed nod. "If you want to move someone up, it should be the team that kept on fighting. Team Tetsutetsu."

"W-wah, Kendo, a-are you…" the steel user began to stammer.

"I'm not doing this as a favor. I'm doing it because it's fair." Kendo affirmed, which made the steel quirk user shout thank you to the heavens.

With Tetsutetsu and Ibara moving onto the finals, the remaining students then drew lots to determine who they would be facing in the finals. Not surprisingly, Tetsutetsu and Kirishima were going to be facing each other, much to each other's annoyance, practically wondering why this kept happening to them.

Iida was going to be facing Hatsume, Shoto against Sero, Kaminari against Ibara, Tokoyami against Yaoyorozu, Mina was going to be facing off against Aoyama, and Bakugo would be facing Ochako. "Uraraka? Who the hell is she?" Bakugo asked, much to the disbelief of the Gravity User whose jaw dropped completely.

"Oh, he is so dead." Jiro said from the stands, having heard the conversation with her jacks.

"Should have seen that coming." TJ agreed, then looked at the brackets. "Looks like the new Magna Defender is going to be facing off against Izuku. Wonder if Shinso is going to be using his quirk against Izuku?"

"Now that the brackets have been assigned, let's pause for a momentary interlude. It's time for some pulse-pounding side games!" Midnight announced.

Super Rescue Lab/Rescue Bay

As the side games began, Mondo placed a silver case on his desk and opened it, revealing the powerful Titanium Morpher. The powers were too strong for a normal human, but a human who had a quirk would be able to handle the power. Unfortunately, the candidate had his quirk stolen just days after Mondo and Jessica sent them the offer.

Their quirk was a powerful one and was taken by a swarm of Batlings who ambushed him on his return from the convenience store, but while his power was stolen, his physical abilities, strength and training made him the ideal choice to become the Titanium Ranger, which the candidate was determined to become, to be part of something greater. "The training to master these powers will be difficult, as it was for the other rangers." Mondo said, looking up the candidate, a Japanese teenager of seventeen, with black hair, and two different colored eyes, the left eye red and the right eye blue.

"If I'm being honest, doc. I love a good challenge and being a part of team of rangers, it's like a dream come true. I'm looking forward to fighting alongside the others, show them my warrior spirit." The teen said with a smirk.

"Then, the morpher will be yours, once you are ready." Mondo said, closing the case before standing up. "Head to the training course, I want to see what you are capable of, before I give you the morpher."

"Yes, doctor." The teen said with a bow, then followed Mondo to the training course.

Skull Cavern

"Man, these side games are so booring!" Ivan bellowed. "You call this a sports festival? Looks more like field day for a bunch of grade schoolers. Now the fairs of the Renaissance, the fights in the coliseums during the time of the Roman Empire, cage fights, fights to the death, those are way better than this load of horse pucky, if there was ever a larger load of horse pucky."

"Meh, I don't know, I kind of like it." Elgar said, gulping down his third soda of the day. "Auntie D wouldn't let me watch these games if they were around back when Dark Specter was still alive and kicking."

"I'd rather see more carnage and some death." Darkonda stated. "Still, why did we let Koragg go down and observe the games? If you ask me, you're giving him way too much freedom to act on his own. He should be following your orders and not doing whatever he pleases. It will become a real problem in the future."

"Like you are?" Ecliptor growled. "You tried to destroy Astronema and myself many times, so you could rule the universe yourself. You can't be trusted!"

"Silence!" Olympius bellowed, casting a glance as Kendo held Monoma in her enlarged hands, as she had been assigned to retrieve a 'Perverse Person', which in this case was Monoma, a sight which caused the demon prince to chuckle before he turned to Venjix. "General, what is the status of our growing forces?"

"Progress is proceeding as planned." Venjix reported, a hand across the front of his chest and on one knee. "The humans haven't realized that our attack on the NASADA was to gather the technical data of the Velocifighters. We are in the process of retraining the Quantrons and training the other soldiers in piloting those fighters. The rangers won't stand a chance against an aerial force such as ours. Quadrafighter production is proceeding as planned and nothing the humans have will be able to withstand their firepower."

"Firepower won't tip the balance in battle, General." Treacheron stated. "It is the skill of the warrior that will win the day, and you seem to have forgotten about Trakeena. She will no doubt be plotting her revenge against Olympius and the rangers. She may have the skills of a warrior, but she is dangerous."

"Treacheron is correct, general. We cannot underestimate Trakeena, nor any allies she might be gathering at the moment. We must prepare ourselves for all possibilities of battle." Olympius advised, just as Jinxer returned. "Where have you been, Jinxer?"

"My prince. I've found something that will greatly assist our cause. A gift left to us from Magmavore." Jinxer explained, having the batlings place the fragment on a pedestal. "Though Magmavore maybe gone, he left us with a power than can greatly enhance the strength of our monsters." Jinxer said with a smirk.

"Well done, Jinxer. See to whatever you have planned after the games end, for now, let us see what the green haired friend of the Red Ranger handles the new Magna Defender." Olympius said, turning his attention to the projection, as did the other monsters.

UA Stadium

"Let's cut to the good stuff and welcome our fighters!" Mic announced. "If you think the action, you saw so far was incredible, then you haven't seen anything yet, sports fans. It's time for the one-on-one fights! Sometimes, heroes only have to rely on themselves! Heart. Skill. Wisdom. Courage. Strength. Heroes use them all to reach the top! But let's not talk about that stuff and introduce our competitors!" On the big screen hanging above the stadium, the pictures of a neutral faced Shinso and a nervous Midoriya appeared. "Woah, he looks kind of nervous in this picture, from the east, from Class 1-A and best friend of the Red Ranger, is Izuku Midoriya! And his opponent, the Hitoshi Shinso from General Studies, who hasn't really done much to stick out." Mic continued as the two contestants walked towards the field.

"The rules of the one-on-one fights are simple, immobilize your opponent or force them out of the ring! You can also win by getting the other opponent to cry uncle. Bring on the injuries, because we got healers on standby! So put whatever morals you have aside and play dirty if you feel inclined, but remember, no life-threatening injuries, those aren't allowed. After all, real heroes throw villains in jail, not kill them!" Mic announced, with Cementoss

"So, we finally meet face-to-face in battle." Shinso said, his morpher disguised as a watch which he unstrapped and placed on the ground. "I know you and the Red Ranger have a history and I'll say that I am a bit jealous, having a quirk like your and someone who believes in you, it's something I've wanted all my life."

"What are you saying?" Izuku asked.

"My quirk is brainwashing. When I talk to a person and that person answers back, I can make them do whatever I want them to do. Yeah, I know, the quirk of a villain." Shinso continued, glancing towards the tunnel he emerged from where Villamax stood. "But while you have the Red Ranger believing in you, I got someone to help me and taught me that my quirk can be used for heroic deeds. But I don't plan on using it."

"Wait, what did he say?" Mic announced with a voice of curiosity and surprise.

"So, let's give it our all and hold nothing back, Midoriya." Shinso finished.

"Well, uh… alright then… Let's start the first match! BEGIN!" Mic announced, finally shaking himself after what he heard, raising his hand and singling them match's beginning.

Both Shinso and Izuku charged towards each other, each of them drawing back their fists and trying to score the first hit. Shinso's punch was deflected by Izuku, who countered with a sweep kick, that Shinso backflipped away to avoid. "Wow! Folks, I don't believe what I'm seeing! Neither Shinso or Midoriya are using their quirks and are instead relying on their physical strength and hand-to-hand combat! Does it have something to do with what Shinso said about not using his quirk?" Mic asked over the loudspeaker.

"It's just another example of why the entrance exams aren't logical." Aizawa said.

Announcers' booth

"I don't follow. What are you getting at Eraser?" Mic asked his co-host, who pulled out two papers he had printed out before the festival.

"Since we're moving onto individual matches, I already had some information compiled about our final competitors." Aizawa answered, looking at the papers he pulled out. "Hitoshi Shinso failed the Hero Course practical exam. Since he also applied for General Studies, he likely assumed this would happen. His quirk is incredibly strong, brainwashing. Anyone who answers him when he speaks is immediately placed under his control, but since the entrance test consisted of fighting robot villains, it gave a huge advantage to those with physical quirks that were shown off. He never stood a chance at passing." The mummified teacher explained. "But, based on what I've heard about Shinso's recent development, he seems to be relying on physical strength rather than his quirk, something that Midoriya seems to be doing as well." As Aizawa spoke, Mic couldn't help but see the resemblance between Shinso and the Class-A homeroom teacher.

Field

Shinso's feet slammed into Izuku's side, knocking the green haired boy to the ground, but he could tell that Izuku wasn't finished yet. "Come on, Midoriya, get back to your feet!" Shinso shouted to his opponent. "It won't be a win if one of us can't get back up after a few minutes."

"What is this? Shinso is practically telling Midoriya to get back into the battle!" Mic announced in surprise, just Izuku leapt back to his feet and charged towards Shinso. The two students were then locked in intense combat, blocking each other's attacks with neither one giving the other an opening. As they continued to trade blows, Izuku noticed an opening in Shinso's defense and leapt back, then charged in with lariat, wrapping an arm around Shinso's neck, followed by swinging his legs forward and used the momentum to bring Shinso down onto the ground.

"Wow! A Lariat from Midoriya! Wonder if he learned that from the rangers?" Mic exclaimed in surprise.

Shinso was quick to get back to his feet, but not fast enough to avoid a spinning kick from Midoriya that knocked him out of bounds. "Shinso is out of bounds! The winner is Izuku Midoriya of Class 1-A!" Midnight announced.

Battered and bruised, Shinso was out of breath, but what heard from the stands filled him with hope.

"You were awesome out there Shinso! We're so proud of you!"

"You never told us you were that good!"

"You're the star of our program!"

"Ya hear that buddy! You were incredible!"

The voices of Bulk and Skull, who didn't advance to the second round echoed around the stadium, while many of the Pro Heroes in the stands watching the match, complimenting the heroic applications of his quirk made him smile as Izuku walked over to the downed student and helped him back to his feet. "They are right, you were amazing out there. You fought well." Izuku said, handing Shinso his morpher back.

"Yeah, but next time we fight, the match will have a different outcome, you can bet on that." Shinso said with a smile, all the while Midnight couldn't contain herself and practically embraced herself, loving the sight of sportsmanship.

Alright, that's another chapter done, and I placed a poll on profile for the worlds I want to have the Rangers travel to, in terms of their mission of protecting the world. Though I put them up on the poll, I plan on using Azur Lane, Fire Force, and Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka as three of the worlds, so even if they don't get any votes, I'll still be using them.

Now, to any of you who watched Gogo V, do you remember those Magma Golem Cards or the golden ones in Lightspeed Rescue? Well, those will be appearing in the story with several monsters getting an ugly makeover.

One match down, we've still got more fights to come as the Sports Festival continues. Until then, please read, review, cast your votes on the poll on my profile and I will see you all next time. Glad the website is back up and running with notifications.
