Alrighty, it's time to unveil my first original megazord. I've been waiting for this for a long time and you guys are going to be in for a surprise for what I am using for the basis for this Megazord. Now, for those of you who don't me, I am a big fan of air-to-air combat, thanks to films like Star Wars, Red Tails, Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick, and games like Ace Combat and Project Wingman, so you'll be seeing some dogfights this chapter, mostly because the rangers enemies have Velocifighters and Quadrafighters and from what I know, air superiority is the key to winning in any battle, especially in war.
Now, onto the poll, it seems that the world that's the home of our favorite dragon slayer is going to be the first one the rangers visited. Well, if that's what the fans want, then that's what they'll get, but it will have a twist to it. Trust me, I know what I'm doing.
Alright, onto the reviews.
Wolfy322: I did have plans once about doing a Lightspeed Rescue/RWBY Crossover, but that didn't work out too well in my mind. Plus, I've seen plenty of better ones than I could ever do.
DCDGojira: Glad you liked the chapter and as for that Cyan Rider, I'm considering it. Of course, you'll be seeing the Laughter Pressure Point and using it on Bakugo, now that will be funny, especially on Monoma.
Luffy L Deathwalker: Thanks, but I think I have all the worlds I want for this story.
Aztec13: Yeah, I wasn't very familiar with Kamen Rider either, but I know enough to know that it's awesome. Hell, I think even a few monsters from Kuuga might make an appearance as some foes for the rangers, which will allow me to bring in an OC who would be the Kuuga in the world of the rangers, which was given to me by the Ultimate savior infinity. Plus considering that I have been watching Kuuga lately, I think one of the monsters in that show might make a certain ranger quiver with fear because of the theme of the monster.
Ultimate Savior Infinity: Thanks, and of course, there will be rider kicks. I figured that I would use someone who's traveled through multiple worlds be the one who tells the rangers about the existence of other worlds, plus it will give Olympius a reason to look for his own other worldly ally, one that is considered a king amongst his kind and that was suggested to me by another reviewer.
Monster King: Thanks.
Clynch13: Season 8? Guess that will be something to look forward to.
Alright, onto the intro.

Port of Tokyo
A gantry crane lowered its arm onto a container aboard a cargo ship, lifted the container off the ship and lowered it onto a waiting flatcar. Lights illuminated the darkness of the docks as dock workers secured the container on the flatcar, coupled to several empty flatcars which were coupled up to a HD300 Diesel/Battery powered hybrid locomotive, which was purring nicely.
In the cab of the locomotive, was Ray Miller, the CEO and head engineer of Holter Energy, Biolabs 'partner in crime' in the field of Trizyrium crystal research and construction of power plants powered by said crystals.
Unlike his friend, David Shields, Ray was born quirkless and bullied because of it in his hometown of Tampa Bay, Florida, but that didn't stop him from pursuing a career in engineering, graduating from an engineering college and earned a degree in the field he loved. Though he didn't have a quirk, Ray also developed many support items for many American heroes, even a few foreign heroes, something he attributed to an incident in the past where he was saved by a hero before he was swallowed by an alligator.
That moment in Ray's life made his goal clear. Not only did he want to pursue a career in engineering, but he wanted to show his support for all heroes and give back to those who risked their lives day and night to protect people like him from villains. Eventually, he made his way to I-Island, where he met David, Jack, and Linda shortly before Connor's birth and quickly became friends. In fact, Ray was named the godfather of Connor shortly after he took control of Holter Energy, but that prevented him from adopting Connor as his son after his parents were murdered. Though David adopted Connor after the incident, Ray made it clear that he was going to be there for his godson as much as he could, to be the father of his friend's son in his place.
When Connor became the Red Ranger, Ray was delighted and began consulting some of the scientists and engineers of his company about constructing a new Megazord that would assist the rangers in their battles, even reaching out to Professor Kubota about assisting in the construction of zords that NASADA was developing. The Professor was delighted to have Ray's assistance, but Ray was also worried about the image of his company.
For the last several weeks, Ray has been running damage control after it was revealed to the media that one of the company's decommissioned drilling stations, a station that was reactivated without his knowledge played a part in the near destruction of Angel Lake, commandeered by a religious cult that bordered on the line of terrorists, who not only framed the current mayor of the mountain resort town, but also were responsible for the death of his godsons mother and father, while also pumping out who knows how many gallons of crude oil from underneath the extinct volcano, which was revived by the demons and their allies.
'Someone in the company must have told Humarise that whatever they were looking for was underneath the volcano and in the oil, they pumped out. Those zealots must have paid top dollar for the oil, but why do they want it? Automobiles run on power cells these days, cities and towns are powered by Trizyrium crystals, eliminating the need for fossil fuels and practically all but eliminating ninety percent of the carbon footprint's from over two centuries. The only things that still use oil are those newer diesel electric hybrid locomotives, but the oil they use cleaner than other types of oil and those are mostly used in lesser developed countries, ones that have suffered the worst villain attacks over the years, and that's only when there powerplants and such are damaged. Whoever is behind this, they're after something, but what I don't know.' Ray thought to himself.
"Mr. Miller." A dock worker, one with an elephant tusk's protruding from the front of his mouth spoke. "We've finished loading the last of the cargo onto the train. The cargo loaded onto the trucks has already made it onto the freeway and should arrive at the NASADA facility by morning." The worker said.
"Good. Thank you again for your hard work." Ray thanked, climbing aboard the coach at the end of the train. The engine blew its horn, slipped on the rails before it got a grip, then rolled out of the docks and onto the mainline, traversing through the ire night while Ray went to sleep on the coach.

UA Highschool
12:30
The bell rang throughout the school, signaling the start of the lunch period of yet another day of school. Days had passed since the Sports Festival and the appearance of Decade, who the media was already dubbing as a vigilante, with the HPSC advising anyone with knowledge of the man's whereabouts to immediately phone the police to arrest him, which in turn forced Tsukasa to lay low for the moment.
Of course, the biggest topic of discussion was how Class 1-A 'hogged' the spotlight at the Sports Festival, seeing as how it was the son of the Number 2 hero who won the festival, with several of his classmates coming in second and third place for their performances. Though the school year was still young, many second and third years were already discussing the offers that the first years would get for the upcoming internships that were scheduled to happen after mid-terms.
(Que Bulk and Skull theme)
As the students funneled their way into the cafeteria, a certain duo of general studies students were struggling to find a seat, one of whom was carrying a large stack of whipped cream pies. "Careful, Bulk!" Skull cried out to his best friend.
"I'm always careful, SKU-" Bulk cried out, before he tripped, and the pies were sent flying into the air. "Wow!"
At that moment, Midnight, Aizawa, and Present Mic walked into the cafeteria, noticing the pies falling towards them. "Not again." Midnight said as her body turned pale, right as she got hit in the face with a pie and fell to the ground.
"What the?" Mic started to say before himself got hit in the face by a pie and knocked off his feet. "Ugh!"
"Huh, Didn't think they'd get hit with the oldest slapstick trick in the-" Aizawa began before he himself got hit in the face with a pie, but was still standing "…book…" he finished.
All three turned their gazes to Bulk and Skull, their eyes red with anger. "Oh Crap!" the two of them said and grabbed hold of each other, shivering with fear.
(End theme)
As the events unfolded in the cafeteria, the rangers stood in Nezu's office, the principle having called them just before the lunch period started. "WE'RE GETTING TIME OFF FROM SCHOOL FOR SEVERAL DAYS!?" the rangers all exclaimed at once.
"Yes, that's correct, but it's not a vacation, mind you." Nezu said, paws together and looking at the rangers. "In fact, this is a direct request from Professor Kabuto, whom you have all met. The zords that NASADA showed you all before the Sports Festival, they are nearly completed but will require your focus in training."
"These things don't happen as often as y'all, think." Snipe added, standing by the principles desk. "In fact, it's kinda a rare thing that something like this happens. Most of the time, it's for the students who are doin work studies, second and third years, so it's rare that first years get a chance like this. But, considering that you five are the Power Rangers, it would make sense that you're given time off to test out the new zords."
"But… we're still high school students. Wouldn't missing these classes affect our grades, when it comes to graduation?" Lena asked. "Not to mention that a lot of students would see this as us getting special treatment, which is the last thing we want."
"Yeah, Lena's right. There's already one person who doesn't think that us rangers shouldn't be attending UA and that's a student, there's also one pro that thinks that we're treating this all as a game." Anthony added. "And of course, we have no idea about what the HPSC thinks about us."
"Then it is fortunate that you have many people both in and outside of UA supporting every single one of your rangers, not just the lightspeed rangers." Nezu said with a cheerful smile, holding up a newspaper with a headline that read 'Power Rangers team up with Pro Hero Mirko and unnamed hero' "It seems that your work with Mirko has increased your popularity with the general public. Of course, Endeavor is still voicing his discontent about your actions, but he doesn't understand that you are the only ones who can defeat these monsters."
"So, back to the whole thing about the new zords? If we're going to miss classes, we'll need to make up the work we'll be missing. Given the fact that midterms are coming up, we'll still need to study for them, not to mention that with internships coming up in the future, couldn't we be training with the new zords around that time?" TJ asked.
"Normally, yes. But Commander Collins and Captain Myers have something special planned for the five of you when internships start. Given what's transpired in Hosu, it's imperative that you learn how to use the zords before internships start." Nezu answered.
The five rangers looked at each other for a moment before Melissa spoke. "Well, given everything that you've told us, then we understand. We'll make sure we study hard for our midterms and train with our new zords. If we're going to beat Olympius, Trakenna and their allies, then we need all the power we can get." She said.
"Then that settles it!" Nezu exclaimed. "I'll let the professor know that you'll arrive first thing tomorrow and inform your teachers about everything. Remember, you are representing UA High, so be on your best behavior."
"Yes, Principle." The rangers all responded at once, then left the office leaving Nezu and Snipe alone.
Skull Cavern
Channeling lighting into his sword, Furio struck down a Quantron with a single strike, pivoted around and launched a blast of lightning from his hands at a Putty. "All of you! Come at me at once!" the cyborg general demanded.
Several dozen Putties rushed towards him, only to meet the same fate as the previous Putty, turning the creatures into dust. "My power isn't nearly as strong enough. I need to become stronger to destroy the rangers." He growled, falling to his knees, exhausted, but not yet ready to give up.
Kasumigaura Air Base/NASDA Research Facility

11:30 AM
The roar of jet engines filled the ears of Professor Kabuto as he stood in the command center and focused on the main monitor, fixated on five multicolored jets flying at five thousand feet in a v-formation. The aircraft were a Red F14D Super Tomcat, a Blue F15EX Eagle 2, a Green F35C Lightning II, a Yellow F5E Freedom Fighter and a Pink F20A Tigershark. As the five aircraft flew through the air, the Professor looked towards one of the other monitors that was keeping tabs on the integrity of the systems. "Power systems are still in the green. No signs of any programing errors." A technician reported to the professor.
"Understood." The professor replied, then spoke into the headset by his ears. "Rangers, continue to maintain formation and prepare for the secondary test." He instructed.
"Roger that, Professor." Anthony replied through the headset as the five planes continued to maintain formation. However, shortly after the Professor gave these instructions, an alarm rang out from one of the terminals. "Controls aren't responding! I'm losing power! I can't maintain control!" Anthony called in alarm, as the technicians in the command center worked hard to try and locate the problem but weren't fast enough to prevent the destruction of Anthony's jet, debris from the jet slamming into the other four jets.
The footage from the main monitor vanished and in its place, were the big bold words 'simulation failed'. The lights in a nearby room turned on, revealing five flight simulator pods, each of them opening up with a hiss as the rangers stepped out of the pods, all of them looking a little green in the face. As TJ vomited on the floor, Melissa plopped herself against her flight pod, staring at the ceiling. "Ugh, my stomach feels like it's in knots." She groaned
"Man, I don't know how my great, great, great grandmother did it." Lena moaned, plopping down right by Melissa.
"Well… at least we did better than the first day we started." Connor admitted, equally woozy. "Ugh, this isn't like flying on regular jet liners. Then again, they don't pull all those aerial maneuvers like a split s or high g-turn."
"I'm sorry guys, it was my fault that we failed." Anthony admitted. "I checked the program of the simulation this morning, but didn't notice the error in the programming. I should have said something, but I didn't."
"Well, it's a good thing it was a simulation and not the real thing." TJ said, having finally stopped blowing chunks. "Though, it does kind of feel like we're playing a game instead of using a simulator. Might be enough to convince the whole world that we're treating this as a game."
"Well then, let's not give them a reason to think that you're all not treating this as game." The professor said, walking into the simulator room. "We need to get you familiar with the controls of the zords before you pilot them into battle. Sending inexperienced pilots into battle with only a small amount of training will only result in your destruction. For now, go and take a break, get something to eat. We'll try again once we fix the programming error."
"You got it, Professor." Lena said with a salute, leading the others out of the simulator room. As the rangers walked down the corridors, Lena let out a sigh of relief. "Get something to eat he says? I don't think I could eat anything after that topsy-turvy simulation. Sure, it was only a simulation, but what if we end up vomiting after flying the actual zords? Ugh, I don't want to think about getting vomit in helmet." She admitted.
"And here I thought you were calm after what we went through." Connor teased. "Given that your ancestor was a fighter pilot before she became the yellow eagle ranger."
"This coming from the guy who's younger than the rest of us and has a crush on a girl a few years older than us?" Lena teased back.
"Hey! Leave Nejire out of this." Connor said defensively. "She's got her own things to worry about and the last thing I want is to get her distracted by thoughts of romance."
"What's all this about thoughts of romance?" Ray said as he rounded a corner. "Don't tell me you're using your status as rangers just to improve your live life?"
"Uncle Ray?" Connor cried out in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"The engineering division of Holter Energy was contracted to help NASADA finish the creation of your new zords." Ray explained. "I have some of the best engineers and scientists working for me and have developed some cutting-edge support items." He then wrapped his arms around Connor in an embrace. "Look at you, the last time I saw you, it was after your parents were killed and you've grown up. Your parents would be proud of you."
"Wait? Holter Energy? The same company that was involved in the incident at Angel Lake?" Anthony asked.
"Young man, I can assure you that I had no knowledge of that drilling station being reactivated." Ray assured, letting go of his godson. "Holter Energy is dedicated to the construction of power plants that run on Trizyrium Crystals. I'm not trying to make a quick buck by drilling for oil recklessly and close to populated areas. I have worked with the authorities and made it clear that this was done by terrorists and not the company. I am concerned about why they were using a decommissioned drilling station and what they were after, but the authorities can get some answers out of those they arrested, I don't have an answer for their actions." He then turned to Melissa and smiled. "I hope you've been keeping my godson out of trouble now, Melissa."
"Oh, I don't need to keep him out of trouble, he gets into trouble all on his own." Melissa giggled.
"Godson?" Lena, TJ and Anthony said at once.
"Yeah, he's, my godfather." Connor answered with a shrug. "But just so you know, we aren't using our status as rangers to get attention from the other sex, we take our jobs seriously. There's just… a girl… that I happen to like… and she's a bit older than me…"
"And you're experiencing the emotions common for a man your age. I've been there before." Ray chuckled. "But onto another matter. I heard y'all have been having some difficulties with the new zords. Well, I may not be a pilot but let me give you a little hint. Flying is all about a feeling and it's not the plane that makes the pilot, it's the pilot that makes the plane."
"So, what does that mean?" TJ asked.
"It means, you have to figure out what that means to you." Ray said with a chuckle before heading down the corridor to the control room, leaving the rangers confused. "Oh, and just so you know, I'll be staying in Japan for a few days." He added.
Skull Cavern
Through a carefully placed Spy-Bat placed during the attack a month ago, Olympius and his allies watched through a projection as the humans worked on completing then new zords. "Good idea with the spy, my prince. Now that we know that the rangers are getting newer zords, we can destroy the zords before they are completed." Jinxer told the demon prince.
"Yes. If these zords are completed, they will be able to counter our Quadafighters and Velocifighters. We will lose aerial superiority." Venjix reported. "We must destroy these zords before they can be completed."
"Why destroy them now, when we can destroy them when they are completed?" Ivan suggested, drinking a beverage out of a goblet. "Let the kiddies train to their hearts content on how to pilot these new-fangled machines. Then, when they're ready to pilot the real thing, we send down a monster and destroy those machines before they can be used. They'll be so distraught with their work going up in flames, that they won't expect an attack." Ivan explained.
"An interesting proposal, Ivan." Olympius said, intrigued by the idea. "But who will be the one to lead this attack?"
"I will lead the attack!" Furio said as he stepped into the throne room. "Let me prove my worth by destroying the rangers and their new weapon. Let me show you the results of my training!"
"No! I will destroy the rangers!" Darkonda interjected.
"You!? You'll choke in battle!" Deviot countered. "Why destroy the zords when we can take control of them and frame the rangers for attacking the city! We'll make the public lose faith in them and they'll be hunted down!"
"Enough!" Koragg shouted, stepping out of the shadows and into the throne room. "Furio and I will lead the attack." He declared, looking towards Furio. "There is no doubt in my mind that both the one who wields the Master Morpher and Decade will intervene. I will deal with them while Furio destroys the new weapons."
"Very well, Koragg." Olympius agreed, then turned to Venjix. "Have several squadrons of fighters ready to deploy at moment's notice. If Furio can't destroy the zords, we'll overwhelm them with numbers and firepower."
"As you wish, Olympius." Furio said with a bow and left the throne room. "Why did you insist that I lead this attack?" he asked Koragg.
"Whether you succeed in this mission or not is irrelevant. Knowing what the rangers' new weapon is capable of is also important." Koragg answered. "Besides, I am only interested in dealing with the descendant of Tommy Oliver and this Kamen Rider."
"So, you're just using me?" Furio snarled. Koragg said nothing and simply continued through the mist, leaving behind an angered Furio. "I won't be played by a foul by Koragg. I'll destroy the rangers myself and prove my worth to Olympius."

12:00 PM
Having taken Ray's words to heart and after the systems were repaired, by Jessica who surprised the rangers when she revealed that she was Ray's niece of all things, the rangers continued to train in the simulator's, learning the systems and controls of their new zords before they were finally ready to fly the real thing, but there was still one problem.
Melissa was unsure about her capabilities as a pilot. Compared to the other rangers, she struggled the most in getting her zord airborne and to everyone's surprise, she had a fear of heights which explained why she stayed away from windows on airplanes and the Astro Megaship, even closing her eyes when the Super Train Megazord rocketed through the air on it's take off.
All of this boiled down to an experience she went through when she was younger, when she was in an elevator with a see-through window in a mall and saw how high she was. Since that day, she panicked every time she was even a few hundred or so feet off the ground, which made her dizzy. Though she tried to hide it, she couldn't keep it hidden for long and it started to make her doubt herself.
Talking about it proved to be of little help either, as she constantly tried to avoid admitting that she was afraid of heights. Not even Connor was able to get through to his sister. As Melissa sat down in the mess hall, the doubts kept flowing through her mind, until a voice interrupted her thoughts. "So, you're afraid of heights?" Jason asked, taking a seat across from her with a bottle of water in his hands. "Never thought you'd be afraid of heights."
"Well, it's not like I'm completely afraid. I just don't like being so high up that I can see the ground and all that. What if I fell and hit the ground? I'd die." Melissa countered, trying to hide her fear.
"Everyone is afraid of something." Jason said. "Fear is a natural emotion. It comes and goes, but it's all in how you handle it. Some just have a harder time handling it than others. But, once you conquer that fear, you'll know that you're stronger than you think."
"That's just it! I'm not strong." Melissa exclaimed. "When I was six years old, I fell onto a ledge in one of the simulators that papa developed on I-Island. I was scared and thought it was real that every time I'm high in the air, I panic and start to feel dizzy. But when I'm a ranger, those fears just disappear. I'm holding us back. We'll never be able to master these zords and it will be my fault."
"And there's the problem." Jason said, taking a sip of his bottle. "You're afraid that you'll fail and let the others down, because of your fears. I can understand how you feel. Everyone is afraid of something, but once you realize that being afraid is about what you do when you are scared, then you'll know that you've conquered your fear." He then got up. "Just know, that you're not alone."
As Jason left, Melissa thought about what he said and came to a decision. After getting herself something to eat, she approached the other rangers as they prepared for another simulator run. "Guys, there's something you need to know." She said and told them everything. "I'm sorry."
"What are you sorry for?" Lena questioned. "So, you're afraid of heights, that doesn't change anything."
"Lena's right." TJ added. "We kind of already knew you were afraid of heights. Connor told us, but we didn't say anything because it wasn't our place, and it was obvious."
"You all knew!?" Melissa exclaimed in disbelief.
"Melissa, we're a team, that means there aren't any secrets between us." Anthony told her. "If we want to work as a team, then that means we have to trust each other. Keeping your fear a secret from us, while I understand it's not something you want to talk about, you should've just come out and told us."
"I thought you guys would laugh at me." Melissa answered sheepishly.
"Did I laugh at you all those years ago?" Connor asked his sister. "No. I never did, considering I have my own fear. Sis, you know that I don't find things like this funny. Anthony is right, we don't keep secrets from each other, and you know that you can trust us. We're not like those kids who used to pick on you back in grade school."
"I feel like an idiot." Melissa said, mentally hitting herself on the head. "I should have talked to you guys about this."
"Don't worry about it." Lena shrugged. "Now, what do you all say that we get back to training on these new zords."
The other rangers agreed and made their way to the simulator room, where up in the observation room, Ray, Doctor Kabuto and Jessica stood watching them. They each climbed into a simulator pod and the moment the doors closed; the simulation started up.
As with previous simulations, it began with them inside the virtual cockpits of their new zords on the runway of an airbase. "Launch!" the voice of the doctor said through the intercom, and the rangers pushed their controls forward and rocketed down the runway or took off vertically in the case of Anthony's aircraft which was a thrust vectoring type.
The landing gear retracted back into the aircraft as they climbed to five thousand feet rapidly. "Proceed to the designated point on your HUD and we'll begin with Phase 2." Jessica instructed the rangers.
"Roger that, Jess." Melissa replied, already starting to feel herself sweeting like crazy. However, she did look down and saw the good luck charm her brother gave her, a necklace made from pieces of prototype inventions she made back on I-Island and from the prototypes made at UA. In a sense, a bit of her brother was with her, even if he wasn't in the cockpit with her. "Ok, let's form up." She said after taking a deep breath.
Connor's F14D took point, with TJ's F15EX taking position on his left wing, Anthony's F35 on his right wing, with Lena's F5 and Melissa's F20 taking position at the rear left and right. This time, no errors were detected in the programming, thanks to Jessica who found it was a simple coding error that was the source of the problem. "Systems are stable. No error detected. Phase 2 is complete." Ray reported. "Alright, we're going to send in some targets for you to engage. This should allow you to get a feel for what it's like in an actual aerial battle."
"Copy that." TJ replied as seconds later, five Quadrafighters materialized in front of them, flying in formation before they split off from each other in different directions. "Let's take them out."
The five jets split off from each other, going after a single Quadrafighter. Melissa dived after her target, which shifted into its surface attack mode, then stood in place before firing a series of energy rings towards Melissa's aircraft, who banked in every direction as she closed in and pulled the trigger. Her aircraft's twin nose-mounted laser cannons peppered the enemy craft, which then exploded as she flew over the explosion. "Target down." She reported.
"I've got mine right in my sights." Lena said from her own cockpit, chasing down her target over a canyon, but held her fire even when the enemy craft was in her sights. A split second later, the enemy fighter was in her sights, and she pulled the trigger, holding it down for three seconds, long enough to send the fighter crashing into the canyon wall. "Target two is down." She reported.
"Target three is giving me a lot of trouble." Anthony called out, chasing his foe over a lake at wave top level, maneuvering into position to try and get a shot. "This one must have been programmed like an ace or something." He grunted. Just then, the enemy craft slowed down, forcing him to overshoot Anthony and get on his tail, firing energy rings at Anthony, putting him on the defensive. His aircraft shuddered, but Anthony wasn't about to give up.
Raising his aircrafts nose to the vertical level, Anthony dropped back down to a level flight, allowing him to get behind the Quadrafighter as he returned to a level flight behind the target, which he took out with one of the missiles on his wingtips. The missile tracked the enemy fighter, then connected with the fighter which exploded. "Target three is eliminated."
"My cannon are armed and ready." TJ announced as a target reticle tracked his target, chasing it over the mountain before it fell onto his target. Pulling the trigger, TJ fired the three-barreled blaster pod mounted on the centerline hardpoint. Blaster fire ripped into the Quadrafighters hull, which then started to smoke before it rolled over and crashed into the mountain below. "Target number four is down. Your targets the last one, Connor." He reported.
"Copy that!" Connor called out, still chasing his own target which had flown into the city in the simulation, firing its weapons at buildings to try and shake Connor of its tail. "But this one is really making me work for the gold." He grunted. Every time he got a lock on his target, it would execute a random maneuver that broke his lock on the fighter. "Damn it! It's more stubborn than Bakugo." He cursed, just as the Quadrafighter blasted its way through a building. "And just as careless about collateral damage."
Pulling back on his controls, he took his fighter into a climb and soared over the building, finding himself directly above the enemy craft. Increasing his speed, he gave chase once more, now finally free of the city. His targeting systems locked onto the enemy fighter; he squeezed the trigger. "Blasters!" he called out, watching as a burst of blaster fire from his blaster pod slammed into the enemy craft, which then slammed into a hillside. "Target number five is down." He reported.
"Roger. Rangers, prepare to…" Jessica started to instruct before an explosion in the background could be heard over the radio. "Cancelling the simulation!"
In a matter of seconds, the simulation ended, and the flight pods opened up. "What's going on out there?" TJ asked, only to feel the building shake from another explosion. "Ok, I think I got an idea what's going on." He mused, just as Ray entered the simulation room, a pistol in hand.
"We're under attack. Looks like your enemies don't want you getting these zords." He answered. "Well rangers, it looks like you got work to do."
"Let's go!" Connor shouted, rushing past his godfather, followed by the other rangers.
Outside, a building was on fire as NASADA employee's ran for their lives, some knocked down by an explosion from a second building as Furio swatted away several security guards with his arm. "Where are you rangers?! I'm here to destroy you! Are you afraid to face me, Furio!" he shouted, launching red lighting from his hands that destroyed a vehicle that some security guards were using as cover.
The revving of a motorcycle engine filled his ears as a certain magenta accented motorcycle flashed by, almost knocking him down. Coming to a stop, was Tsukasa, already in his rider form. "So, you're Kamen Rider Decade? I was wondering when we'd meet." Furio mused.
"Why does Olympius seek to destroy this facility?" Tsukasa demanded.
"Prince Olympius demands the destruction of the Power Rangers. That includes those they are allied with!" Furio shouted, twirling his sword around as a contingent of Batlings, Putties, and Quantrons came to his side. "That includes you and anyone else."
"Furio!" Jason shouted as he and the Lightspeed Rangers rushed onto the scene. "Looks like I don't have to go searching for you. Thanks for saving me the trouble."
"What are you doing here!?" Melissa demanded.
"I came here to see the new zords, so I can destroy them!" Furio answered.
"You're not going to be climbing our wings!" Lena shouted.
"As if you can stop me." Furio huffed, just as Koragg arrived on the scene. "And here's my back up."
"Rangers." Koragg said, glaring at Tsukasa and Jason. "You two shall be my opponents." He declared, drawing his sword from his shield, preparing himself for battle.
"Fine then! It's Morphin Time!" Jason shouted, drawing the Master Morpher and morphed into the White Mighty Morphing Ranger, drawing Saba while Tsukasa changed the Ride Booker into blade mode. "We'll handle Koragg, you stop Furio!" he shouted to the Lightspeed Rangers, charging towards Koragg with Tsukasa by his side.
"Be careful!" Connor shouted, then turned back to Furio and his horde of foot soldiers who were heading to the hanger where the new zords were being kept. "Let's do it!"
"Lightspeed Rescue!" the five rangers shouted and morphed into their ranger suits.
Leaping over Furio and his horde of soldiers, the rangers stood in his way. "V-Lancers!" they shouted at once, summoning their lance weapons, twirled them around and took a combat stance. "Power Rangers! Lightspeed!"
"Destroy them!" Furio shouted, sending his soldiers into battle.
Twirling their V-Lancers around, the rangers gladly returned the favor and charged towards the enemy soldiers. TJ swung his lancer at a Putty, then raised it to block the attack from another clay-based foot soldier, but a few Batlings and Quantrons soon brought their blades down on his weapon, pushing him down to the ground in a kneeling position. With a grunt, the blue ranger pushed the weapons up, then swung his lance around in a full three-hundred and sixty degrees, cutting them down all at once.
Anthony swung his lance down on a Batling, then rolled away as a second bat creature tossed a grenade at him. The device exploded, but Anthony was quick to attach his blaster grip to his weapon, switching it to blaster mode, then fired back. Several foot soldiers were cut down by his blasts, some of whom were reduced to dust. He then noticed a few Quantrons rushing towards him, and with a quick change back to lance mode, he cut them down.
Lena and Melissa stood back-to-back, their V-Lancers in blaster mode and fired at the charging Putties, turning them to dust. A Quantron launched an energy blast at the two rangers, forcing them to roll out of the way. "Have some of this!" Lena exclaimed, firing her V-Lancer at the Quantron that launched the blast, destroying it while Melissa swung her lance around, slashing several foot soldiers down.
As for Connor, he dived over several crates, turned his body and fired his own V-Lancer, downing several Batlings with precise shots. As he got back to his feet, he noticed Furio heading towards the hanger where the new zords were being kept and sprinted after the monster.
At the same time, Koragg blocked a strike from Tsukasa's Ride Booker, while raising his sword to block Jason's attack with Saba. "I was expecting a challenge from the two of you. Is this all that you can muster?" Koragg questioned, knocking Jason back with a strike from his sword.
"Then let's make it a bit more interesting." Tsukasa said, leaping backwards as he took out a card and slotted it into the Decadriver. "Kamen Ride: Agito! Form Ride: Agito Storm." the device announced as Tsukasa's armor changed into Kamen Rider Agito's storm form, twirling his halberd around.
"So, you have other forms as well? Now this is a battle worth my time." Koragg observed, before he raised his shield. "Wolf Attack!" he shouted, sending blasts of dark energy towards Jason and Tsukasa, but the two were able to dodge the attack, then leapt towards the Knight Wolf. Jason slashed at Koragg with Saba, but the dark knight parried the attack with his sword, allowing Tsukasa to land a hit on Koragg's chest with his weapon, striking the knight several times in the chest. Jason then flipped over Tsukasa, kicking Koragg in the chest.
"Kamen Ride: Agito! Form Ride: Agito Flame!" the Decadriver announced as Tsukasa slotted a new card into the belt, now turning into Agito's Flame Form, spinning the Flame Saber around. "We shall settle this with our swords." Tsukasa declared.
"Fine with me." Koragg agreed, with Jason twirling Saba around. The three then charged towards each other.
As Koragg, Tsukasa and Jason continued their brawl, Furio approached the hanger where the new zords were stored. Raising his hands, Furio was about to unleash a blast of lightning on the hanger, when a blast hit him behind, fired by the rangers. "Give it up rangers, there's no way you can defeat me! I'm more powerful than you could ever imagine." Furio growled, channeling lighting into his blade. "Let me show you!" he then swung his blade down, sending a wave of energy towards the rangers.
The wave struck the rangers, knocking them backwards and down to the ground. "Foolish humans." The cyborg growled, then turned back to the hanger and raised his hand, ready to fire lighting at the building. "Now, I'll destroy these zords, then I'll destroy all of you."
A gunshot rang out as bullets slammed into his chest, then clattered to the ground. Turning around, Furio looked to see Ray reloading his handgun. "Step away from the hanger!" Ray demanded, keeping his gun trained on monster.
"Foolish human. I'll take care of you first!" he snarled, raised his hand and launched lightning towards Ray, only for the blast to be intercepted by Connor. "What!?"
"You call that a blast of lightning? Kaminari's is way more powerful than yours ever will be. So, stay the hell away from my godfather!" Connor shouted, took aim and fired his V-Lancer at Furio, the blast slamming into the center of the monster's chest.
The other rangers soon stood by his side, their V-Lancers in hand. "And here's five reasons why." TJ added as the rangers twirled their weapons around, then charged towards Furio.
"Lesson Five." Melissa said, swinging her V-Lancer from left to right horizontally.
"Lesson Four." Lena added, swinging her own V-Lancer from left to right, downwards at a diagonal angle.
"Lesson Three." Anthony exclaimed, swinging his V-Lancer around, at the same angle as Lena's.
"Lesson Two." TJ said, swinging his V-Lancer from left to right.
"And here's Lesson One!" Connor finished, swinging his V-Lancer from left to right, but at an upwards diagonal angle.
A series of colored V's struck Furio's chest, which sent the cyborg flying into a wall. "It will take more than that to stop me!" he growled.
"Blaster mode!" Connor shouted, attaching his blaster grip to his V-Lancer, as did the other rangers. "Spectra Blast!" All five rangers fired their weapons, forming a V which they fired at Furio, slamming into the monster who then fell face first into the ground with an explosion.
"Class dismissed." Ray said with a smirk.
Skull Cavern
"Bah, looks like Furio failed. Guess he was all talk and no bite." Elgar joked.
"Perhaps he needs a little pick me up." Olympius said, holding a small bomb in his hand. "Time make him grow!" the demon prince said, teleporting the bomb to Earth.
NASADA Airfield
The bomb flew through the air before it landed next to Furio's remains, exploding and bringing the cyborg monster back to life, larger than ever. "I'm not beaten yet, rangers!" he bellowed.
"I hate it when they go big." Ray growled, then turned to the rangers. "You kids got the need for speed?"
"Oh, you know it!" Connor chuckled, rushing into the hanger where the new zords were kept. Like the simulation, the controls were the same and familiar to the rangers, who grabbed their controls and powered up the zords. "Jet Zords, launching!"
From the hanger, the zords taxied onto the runway, then rocketed down before lifting off the ground and into the air, with Anthony's Zord taking off vertically. The zords rocketed towards Furio, who swung his sword at the jets, trying to knock them out of the sky. "We're too fast for you, you Grievous Knock-off!" Lena smirked.
Raising his arms, Furio launched lightning at the rangers but missed and took a volley of missiles from the five jets, but they did little damage. "Alright guys let's bring them together. Initiate megazord formation!" Connor instructed.
"Roger!" the other rangers acknowledged and flew in a V-formation, starting the transformation. First, the cannons under TJ's zord detached before the wings retracted into the body of the jet, as did the wings of Anthony's zord while the noses of the jets configured into a set of legs. The wings of Lena and Melissa's jets also retracted into the body and the nose of the jets folded inward, revealing a set of hands. Finally, Connor's jet folded in half and the wings folded together, forming a torso as a head with a four-pronged crest with the Lightspeed Symbol emerging from above the cockpit, with two barrels on the side of the head. The five zords then came together, forming the new megazord while the cannons from TJ's zord attached to the waist, with two hilts stored above the cannons while the five blaster pods combined into a larger blaster pod attached to the rear of the 'skirt' of the zord.
"Jet Megazord! Online!" The rangers announced, now sitting in the new megazords cockpit located in the center of the chest.
"It won't be for long!" Furio snarled, raising his arms and fired lightning at the new megazord, but dodged the attack. "Impossible!"
"Let's kick his ass!" Connor exclaimed, pushing forward on the controls and activated the rear thrusters, surging towards the monster and delivering a massive uppercut to Furio's head, dazing the monster before a flying roundhouse slammed into his chest.
"Laser Vulcans, fire!" TJ shouted and pulled the trigger. The twin barrels in the Megazords head roared to life, peppering Furio with laser blasts, causing him to stagger backwards before the Jet Megazord surged forwards again, grabbing hold of Furio and flew away from the base, coming to a large, hilled area before letting go of Furio, who rolled on the ground for a brief moment. "Man, this thing is awesome."
"It won't be enough to save you, rangers!" Furio growled, charging towards the megazord with his sword held high, which he then brought down onto the megazord, but to his surprise, his sword broke. "Impossible! My sword has been broken!" he exclaimed, dropping his focus from the megazord, which then leapt into the air, kicking the monster rapidly that it knocked him into one of the hills.
"Mini-Jets, saber mode!" Lena called out, summoning the three mini-zords which combined into their saber mode. "Time to finish this!"
"Invoke the Light. Star Victory Prominence!" the rangers shouted, bringing their saber down of Furio.
Furio stood silently for a moment before he fell forwards and exploded, ending him for good. "Oh yeah! We did it!" Melissa exclaimed.
"That you did." Ray said over the radio.
Back the airbase, Koragg saw the explosion from Furio's destruction, raising his shield to block the blades from Tsukasa and Jason. "Furio has fallen." He said to himself, leaping backwards into the air and onto a building, where he looked down on his opponents. "You two have proven to be worth opponents, much like the other rangers. Our next battle will have a different outcome." He declared, vanishing through a dark magic seal.
Skull Cavern
"You know, I feel like the face of this new Megazord is familiar, but I can't remember where I've seen it before?" Elgar said, rubbing his head. "But, uh, we lost Furio, so that means we're down a general, so what are we going to do?"
"Furio's loss was unexpected, but not as serve as a blow you think, Elgar." Olympius told the mutant. "Now that we know the rangers have a new Megazord, we can find ways to counter it, perhaps even develop our own Megazord."
"Wait, what do you mean develop our own Megazord? Are you planning on bringing back who I think you're bringing back? The…." Elgar started to rant before he was knocked aside by Darkonda.
"Silence you idiot." Darkonda growled. "But I agree, if you're going to be building a Megazord of your own, I'd like to know."
"All in good time." Olympius assured, looking at the image of the Jet Megazord.
NASADA Airbase
Having disassembled the Jet Megazord and sending it to the Rescue Bay, the rangers gathered in the command center where Doctor Kabuto, Jessica and Ray were waiting for them. "So, what do you think of your new Megazord, rangers?" the doctor asked.
"It's one awesome piece of work, doctor." Melissa answered.
"I'll say, but we shouldn't always rely on it. We can't use it for every monster we face." TJ added.
"Yeah, but with Furio gone, we have one less monster to worry about." Lena pointed out.
"That still leaves several other monsters to worry about, not to mention whatever other monsters they'll revive." Anthony stated.
"That's true, but there is still one more Jet Zord being developed, for your Titanium Ranger, which I am certain you'll be meeting soon. But there is another feature of your Jet Zords, that I'm sure you'll find very useful." Ray interjected. "We didn't just develop fighter jets that combine into a megazord that bears a striking resemblance to a certain mobile weapon from a certain series."
Connor remained silent, before he spoke. "Guys, there's something you need to know. It's about All Might." The other rangers turned to Connor, as did Ray, Jessica and Doctor Kabuto before he took a deep breath and told them everything.
And that concludes my newest chapter.
For those who are wondering, the Jet Megazord's form is based on the Freedom Gundam, from Gundam Seed. I got the idea from a piece on DeviantArt where I saw the Gundam Seed Destiny Gundams, the Gaia, Chaos, Abyss, Impulse and Saviour Gundams. I used fighter jets as the basis for the zords because like I said, I plan on writing a few dogfights with these zords against Quadrafighters and Velocifighters, in future chapters.
Melissa was also revealed to have a fear of heights, like Trini did, but managed to get over it and now.
Unfortunately, I am sad to report that Tony Todd, the man who played the Candyman in the horror movies of the same name, Admiral Briggs in Black Ops 2, the Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Dreadwing in Transformers Prime and Venom in one of the Spiderman games has passed away at the age of 69. He was a great actor, and I wished I could have met him.
Now, onto the next chapter, I am blanking on what I want to do for the next chapter. These are the ideas I have for the next chapter.
1: A chapter focused on the event that Ryukyu talked about with the Butler from Hartford Industries, which will bring in another Red Ranger and see Nejire and Connor getting closer to each other.
2: A back story on how Connor and Izuku became best friends.
3: Bringing in several more rangers, plus allies, such as the one who helped Mirko with those villains, a certain shadow that faced the Krybots before. Those won't all be one chapter, but several chapters.
4: Something Jungle Fury related, thanks to the reviewers who asked about Jungle Fury.
5: The Titanium Ranger and an encounter with Stain.
6: Villamax vs his brother.
These are the choices, so leave which one you'd like to see in a review, and I'll see you all next time. Oh, and happy late Veterans day to you all.
