A True Demon of Motivation[DMC/High School DxD/Capcom/Shota!Vergil!SI] – Chapter 2

The sun was starting to set behind me as I sat on the swings in the garden's Gazebo; it was a place I like to sit while I read my books, with the slow swings also working as low-level multi-tasking training, and right now, I was reading my birthday present.

The collective works of William Blake, which was not something I would read in my first life, but the taste for 'finer' things had stuck around after I had gotten my old memories back, but that also brought back some of my old issues, such as the fact I had much smaller social batteries.

That was why, even if I loved my Mother, and Sister to death, I did need to retreat to my own space a few times.

And this was 'my' space to just recharge my batteries without getting nagged by my big-breasted twin. And I would need it once the proper birthday celebration started when Father arrived, which should be soon as the Halloween sun was about to set and Dante wanted to go out and do trick and treat-

My internal monologue came to a halt as I felt a change in the atmosphere and-

thunk

Something landed in my lab, and I looked down, and my eyes went wide as I saw a familiar blade.

A blade that should not be in my lab right now.

The Yamato should not be here, there was no way it should be here right now.

It should be with-

Boom!

The sound of something exploding reached my ears, and a second later, I watched the house light up like a bonfire.

"Mom! Dante!" I shouted as I stood up, the book falling from my hands as I grabbed the blade and started running.

Why, why, why, why? I thought over and over again as it felt like I was going in slowmotion as I ran, panic running through my mind as I had thought this wouldn't happen. That this world was different enough that this couldn't happen.

That we were safe.

That we could be happy.

That- dodge!

My mind screamed in danger, and I quickly jumped back to dodge a ball of fire that had been aimed at my previous location.

"Aww, he dodged."

"We were to capture him alive."

"He can be alive with burnt skin." I looked up into the air where the voices were coming from, and in the air hung people, bat-like wings attached to my back, and from various circles, monsters rose.

Devils and Night Creatures. I intellectually knew that the world I existed in was a fusion one, but knowing and seeing were two different things, and seeing the two types together was certainly a frightening image.

I… needed to get away; if I didn't, I would either die or be captured, but how? HOW?

"Look at him; the half-breed is frozen in fear."

"Are we sure that is one of Sparda's spawn?"

"Certainly a far cry from the image of the traitor."

And with that, my body moved, whether by instincts or a spell Father had put in me as an emergency.

I drew the Yamata, and the space in front of me was parted as I felt my energy reserves plummet from the act.

And I felt through the tear in space, and as darkness consumed me, the last thing I heard were the Devils cursing.

"Please don't let me be late, please don't let me be late," Adriana Fahrenheit Tepes, known to the world as Alucard, repeated over and over again as she moved with super speed across the British countryside as she had gotten an alert that the barrier around the Sparda Estate had fallen. And the only reason she hadn't teleported directly there was because something had been interfering.

Which only meant one thing.

Teacher was dead.

She moved, faster and faster, her body a blur of afterimages and-

Alucard's heart dropped in her chest as she came to a stop in front of the burnt-down estate. "Eva! Dante! Vergil!" She shouted for her extended family as she went into the main hall.

But she got no response and her nose was practically useless as the air was filled with ash, but it had also been scrubbed magically clean off any magic residue, leaving no obvious suspects, but that still left the question?

Who had managed to kill Sparda?

That was a small list of people.

But right now the only thing that mattered was finding the only remnant of her first friends were okay.

She heard the flapping of wings.

"You are late; everyone seems to be gone," Alucard spoke as she turned around to face the individual who had just appeared behind her. "Gabriel."

"I am sorry. I was dealing with an issue when I felt the totem break, and I had to finish up. What happened?" The Archangel asked.

"That should be obvious." The Dhampir answered.

"I know, stupid question, but how? Who? Very few people knew that they existed and lived here," Gabriel stated, the Strongest Female Angel clearly in shock at what she was seeing.

"I am asking myself that question currently," Alucard responded. "And none of them would have betrayed them, so they would have done it through more classical means if no one has turned traitor." It was a nonsensical sentence, but it still needed to be said. "And to make it worse, whoever did it has cleaned up any notable magical signature."

"I can tell I will be contacting Sirzechs and Serafall; I am guessing since they haven't shown up, maybe they managed to escape to the Gremorys."

"Hopefully."

"Mom!" Dante shouted as she reappeared, her Father's sword clutched tightly to her chest as she desperately looked around for her Mother and her Brother.

She needed Vergil by her side right now. He made her feel safe.

Though her cry had gotten the attention of the people in the room that had not noticed her arrival.

"Dante!" Uncle Zoeticus and Aunty Venelana shouted in shock and surprise as they looked at the just-turned-nine-year-old Cambion that had appeared in their living room. As any contact with her was a day early. "Why are you? What happened?" Venelana continued as she quickly went to hug the crying child.

"The house, it went on fire, and then Mom cast a spell and then…" Dante tried to explain but the tears running from her eyes were making it difficult.

"Shhh, it's okay, it's okay, Aunty is here," Venelana said in comfort.

"The Rebellion," Zoeticus said in shock. "But… Sirzechs! Grayfia!" The man shouted. "We have an issue!"

"Mom! Vergil! Where are they? I want my family!"

"It's okay, Dante, it's okay, we are going to get them very quickly." Venelana tried to reassure the girl, but something told the Devil that it was just an empty promise.

Sirzechs Lucifer's day had gone from rather good to terrible in the span of a single evening as it was becoming quite apparent that one of the strongest beings in the world was dead, the one who had brown beaten most of the supernatural world into submission to keep the peace.

Then it got out.

And it would.

The world was going to change.

And not for the better.

"How is she?" Sirzechs asked his Mother as the brown haired Devil entered his home office, which was currently occupied by Serafall, Grayfia, his Father, and the one that would be considered the strongest Human in the entire world, Julius Belmont. The man having come to the second, the message that Dante was with them had been sent.

"She cried herself to sleep but I managed to pry the sword from her arms, though it quickly got replaced with Rias," Venelana said.

"And today and tomorrow were supposed to be happy days," Julius said, as today was supposed to be the small birthday celebration between his daughter and her husband, and then they were supposed to arrive early in the morning for the big celebration.

"They were," Sirzechs said. "First of we got a message from Gabriel; she, Michael and Alucard searched the home and found no trace of either Vergil or Eva, so they either got taken by whoever attacked or they managed to achieve different means of escape."

"I am going to assume the latter for Vergil," Julius said. "If my Granddaughter got the Rebellion, Vergil got the Yamato, and we all know the most basic thing it can do."

Everyone nodded at that.

"And that they will be telling the rest of the Archangels and the Seraphs about Sparda's death and the children."Sirzechs finished.

"Been working to keep them safe for nine years, and this is how the secret ends," Julius said. "Now, what about the Scapegoat?"

"Julius, I know what you might think, but Azazel would not do this; she respected Sparda probably more than any of us," Sirzechs stated.

"More like loved; she has been trying to seduce him for years and then tried to get it to be a threesome," Serafall said with a small chuckle. "I haven't gotten a message from her yet, but the none of us ten would have betrayed them."

Everyone nodded sadly.

"I guess the number has gone to eleven now," Zoeticus said.

"That was planned; Rias was supposed to meet her mysterious cousins tomorrow," Venelana said, so she was very happy that her girl had such a big heart that when she had walked in on her comforting Dante, she had immediately picked up on what to do and become the big spoon, despite not even knowing who Dante was.

"True," Grayfia said. "But we still have two missing people and an unknown mastermind, who, going by the inability for Alucard to teleport in, has Dimension Lost in their employ."

"I will start putting out ears for that," Serafall said. "And I am also going to be bringing Sona over tomorrow. Dante needs as much emotional support as possible from people in her age range."

"Not going to argue with that; the cat is kinda out of the bag; the fact Sparda had children is gonna get spilled to every corner of the planet," Julius said.

"Yeah we are going to go and tell Falbium and Ajuka in an hour," Sirzechs said.

"You going to stay for the night?" Zoeticus asked the human.

"Of course, I am going to need to speak to my Granddaughter before I leave to go hunt down whoever the fuck decided to fuck up my daughter's happy family life," Julius spoke, his tone filled with fury, his body glowing with a white aura for a brief moment.

"I shall show you to the guest bedroom," Grayfia said.

"Thank you." The strongest human said. "Now, let's just hope my Yamato theory proves true and Vergil managed to escape to somewhere he is safe."

"Lord Saddler, there has been an occurrence."

"What has happened?" The Leader of Los Illuminados asked.

"Ten minutes ago, a rift in space opened up in the castle, and out of it fell out a boy along with a katana; the mages could detect a heavy magical presence around them."

"Interesting, have the boy injected with a Plagas and have the sword bought to me." Saddler spoke his curiosity now poked. "He will tell us what we want once it blooms."

"Understood sir."

And with that, the man was alone again.

"Curious indeed, perhaps this is gonna be an unexpected boon." Saddler chucked to himself as he extended his mind into the Plagas hivemind, the psionic parasite having been fully subsumed to his will, and he viewed the boy that had appeared through the eyes of one who had been blessed with the Plagas. "Curious indeed." But he was going to wait until it bloomed; he first had to take care of a certain American who was coming to try and save the President's Daughter; it was a little too early for her to go back, and they wouldn't want the surprise to be spoiled.
