Space, an infinite tapestry of stars and planets, stretched endlessly in every direction. Within this celestial realm, two small yet potent Saiyan transport pods sped toward Earth, each carrying a formidable Saiyan on a quest for enlightenment. Three centuries had passed since the legendary warrior Goku had graced Earth, and his extraordinary feats had ascended to the realm of myth and legend. Now, Brakkar and Tarkor, figures of towering stature and commanding presence, embarked on a journey to unearth the true heritage of Goku, Vegeta, and their comrades. Their remarkable builds and unique garb distinguished them, yet it was their resolve and commitment to justice that truly differentiated them.
As they breached Earth's atmosphere, Brakkar, the taller of the duo, stood a striking 10 feet tall. His build, reminiscent of Broly in his Legendary Super Saiyan state, and his flowing, spiky hair, marked his presence. Despite his daunting exterior, Brakkar's reputation for compassion and unwavering fidelity preceded him. He donned a sleeveless black battle uniform with red trim, black combat shorts, and sturdy red wrist and ankle guards, Brakkar's brown ape tail was coiled around his waist, a reminder of his Saiyan heritage. Tarkor, standing at an impressive 8 feet tall, was slightly shorter but equally formidable, boasting a muscular build akin to Jiren's. His short, spiky hair and the black ape tail coiled around his waist contributed to his intimidating presence. Adorned in dark grey and black Saiyan battle armor, complemented by a high-collared black cloak, Tarkor exuded an aura of mystery and command. Among the two, he was the more solemn and reflective, propelled by a profound dedication to his Saiyan lineage. Their pods touched down seamlessly in a remote locale, shielded from inquisitive eyes. As the hatches swung open, the duo emerged, surveying the new environment with keen eyes. The air was fresh, and the sky a vivid blue, offering a striking contrast to the boundless void of space from whence they came.
Brakkar extended his limbs, his physique undulating beneath his gi. "Finally, solid ground! The cramped pod was getting intolerable." Tarkor gave a solemn nod. "Keep our mission in mind, Brakkar. We're here to procure details on Goku and Vegeta. Our first move is to assimilate and collect intelligence without drawing attention." Brakkar's grin was infectious, his easygoing nature apparent. "Understood, brother. Yet, anticipate that I won't avoid mischief for too long." Venturing towards the adjacent town, the Saiyans attracted speculative looks from the townsfolk. They maintained a discreet presence, attentive to any references to the fabled fighters. Their quest was only beginning, and they were resolute in discovering the truths of Goku, Vegeta, and the heritage they had established.
Following their initial flight over Earth's tranquil landscapes, Brakkar and Tarkor chose to venture into a denser area. Gliding through the sky, they eventually noticed a lively city beneath them. Captivated by the tall structures and teeming masses, they opted to land in the city's nucleus. As they made their descent, the city's inhabitants inevitably observed the two colossal beings. Murmurs and sharp intakes of breath permeated the atmosphere as Brakkar and Tarkor settled in the midst of a thronged plaza. The earthbound onlookers halted, their gazes filled with astonishment and trepidation. Exchanging looks of confusion, Brakkar and Tarkor were perplexed by the local's reactions. "Why do they gaze at us so? Is this not a sight they've witnessed with Goku or Vegeta?" inquired Brakkar, his tone laced with sincere puzzlement. "I don't know," Tarkor replied, his tone calm yet tinged with curiosity. "Maybe I should ask them." With an impassive face and an imposing stature, Tarkor approached a group of trembling Earthlings. His presence seemed to intensify their fear, yet he continued, intent on understanding. "Excuse me—" he started, his voice firm and commanding. Before he could finish, the Earthlings erupted into panic, screaming and scattering in terror. Tarkor stood there, bewildered. "Was it something I said?" he wondered aloud, turning to Brakkar.
Brakkar shook his head. "It wasn't you." As the turmoil escalated, Brakkar caught sight of a man attempting to flee and swiftly caught him by the scruff of his neck. "Wait. We're here to find food. Do you know where..." he trailed off, but before he could end his inquiry, the man lost consciousness in his grasp. Brakkar regarded the faint man with bewilderment. "I only asked about food," he remarked, carefully setting the man down. The two Saiyans stood amid the pandemonium, striving to comprehend the situation. Their arrival had evidently instilled immense fear in the Earthlings, yet they remained resolute in their quest to communicate and uncover more about the legacy of Goku and Vegeta.
Tarkor, still perplexed by the Earthlings' retreat, surveyed the square until he noticed a woman crouched behind her shop counter. She appeared to be a shopkeeper and, despite her fear, had not fled like the others. Eager to leave a positive impression, Tarkor advanced towards her cautiously, He aimed to appear as non-threatening as possible, despite his imposing stature. Nearing her, he delved into a pouch and retrieved a stack of Earthling banknotes. They had acquired Earth currency beforehand to prepare for their visit. "Earthling female," Tarkor initiated, his tone steady yet gentler than usual, "my brother and I are in need of sustenance. We possess the necessary currency." The woman raised her head, her eyes brimming with fear and bewilderment, yet she discerned the sincerity in Tarkor's demeanor and the cash he extended. With a brief pause, she rose, her hands quivering as she accepted the notes from him. "Wh-what kind of food do you need?" She spoke in a stammer, her voice a mere whisper. Tarkor looked back at Brakkar, receiving a nod of encouragement. "A substantial amount is needed. Whatever is at hand will be enough." The shopkeeper, understanding the urgency, quickly assembled various items from her store—fruits, vegetables, meats, and bread. She packed them into a large bag and handed it over to Tarkor, who took it with a nod of gratitude.
"Thank you," he expressed earnestly. "Your help is greatly valued."
As Tarkor and Brakkar departed, the shopkeeper's gaze followed them, filled with both curiosity and a cautious sense of relief. Maybe these Saiyans weren't the fiends she had imagined. The city's heartbeat began to stabilize as the brothers moved on, the initial shock of their presence slowly dissipating. Finding a secluded area, the two Saiyans savored their provisions, feeling their vigor and morale restored. Sated, they were now prepared to resume their mission to discover the true heritage of Goku and Vegeta, resolute in gaining the Earthlings' trust and esteem. After completing their meal and restoring their vigor, Brakkar and Tarkor decided to continue their exploration of Earth. They ascended above the urban skyline, drawing the attention of the humans beneath them. The blend of wonder and wariness in the eyes of the spectators confirmed that the Saiyans remained a remarkable spectacle.
Tarkor, always poised, acknowledged the people below with a nod. "Thank you," he projected, his voice reaching the crowd. However, before he could continue, a wave of screams erupted, and fear once again filled their eyes. "Forget this. We're leaving, brother," Tarkor conceded, turning away in resignation. Brakkar exhaled, slightly let down by the response yet cognizant of the necessity to depart. "Very well, let's depart." With that, the two Saiyans flew away, leaving the city behind them. As they soared through the skies, they couldn't help but reflect on the encounter. "I don't get it," Brakkar said, his tone puzzled. "Why are they so scared of us? Weren't Goku and Vegeta revered as heroes?" Tarkor shook his head, wearing a contemplative expression. "Three centuries have passed, Brakkar. To them, we are merely legends that have taken flesh—enigmas that could pose a threat. We must tread with greater caution in our dealings with them."
As they continued their flight, the Saiyans scanned the landscape below, searching for a place where they might find more information without causing a panic. They were determined to uncover the true legacy of Goku and Vegeta, but it was clear that earning the trust of the Earthlings would be a challenge in itself. Their journey had only just begun, and they knew they would face many obstacles along the way. But with their unwavering determination and the legacy of the Saiyan heroes driving them forward, Brakkar and Tarkor were ready for whatever lay ahead. Following their bewildering interaction with the Earthlings, Brakkar and Tarkor sought a hidden area to land and plan their subsequent actions. Brakkar, puzzled by the profound fear they had elicited, addressed his brother. "Why are they so afraid of us, Tarkor? We posed no threat."
Tarkor reflected briefly before a realization dawned on him. "Maybe we require advice from someone more versed in Earth's history. We should summon Whis." Brakkar concurred with a nod. The Saiyans extended their thoughts, summoning Whis, the celestial advisor to the universe's mightiest warriors. Promptly, Whis materialized before them, enveloped in a gentle, luminous glow. "Welcome, Brakkar and Tarkor," greeted Whis, his smile tranquil. "What assistance can I provide?"
Tarkor did not hesitate. "Whis, we seek your counsel. The Earthlings are frightened by our presence, despite our peaceful intentions. We've invoked the names of Goku and Vegeta, but to no avail. What is the root of their fear?" Whis, with a thoughtful nod and an understanding look, responded, "Ah, I comprehend. You must realize that it has been three centuries since Goku and Vegeta roamed the Earth. To today's Earthlings, they are but legends, akin to mythological entities. The Saiyan race is obscure in this age, and your abrupt arrival, along with your formidable presence, likely sparked their innate fear of the unknown." "But Goku and Vegeta were also Saiyans. Doesn't that merit some recognition?" Brakkar chimed in, his bewilderment clear.
"True," Whis acknowledged. "Yet, time has a way of warping recollections. Goku and Vegeta are celebrated as valiant heroes, but the specifics of their saga and the essence of the Saiyan people might have dimmed or been misconstrued. The Earthlings behold two mighty, alien figures and respond with wariness and dread." Tarkor, taking in Whis's words, concluded, "Then, we must exercise patience and devise a strategy to gain their trust." "Precisely," Whis said with a gentle smile. "Show them that you are not a threat through your actions. Help them, protect them, and gradually, they will come to see you as allies rather than adversaries." Brakkar's face lit up with determination. "We'll do just that. We'll prove to them that we're here to honor Goku and Vegeta's legacy."
Whis expressed his approval with a nod. "I wish you both good fortune, Brakkar and Tarkor. I trust in your capabilities and your motives. Bear in mind, the essence of heroism encompasses not only strength but also wisdom and compassion." As Whis's form started to vanish, Brakkar was reminded of their first encounter with Whis and Beerus, the God of Destruction. Their heritage harked back to the era of Goku and Vegeta's tutelage under Whis, as they aspired to ascend to unprecedented heights of power. Whis had overseen the progeny of these iconic Saiyans, safeguarding the integrity of their training in alignment with their forebears' ethos. Beerus, who was initially apathetic towards them, eventually displayed curiosity about their capabilities, making sporadic appearances to gauge their fortitude and determination. Emboldened by Whis's counsel, the Saiyans were imbued with a revitalized mission. They recognized the journey would demand patience and diligence, yet they stood prepared to validate their worth and disclose the authentic heritage of their illustrious forerunners.
