Harpymon sneers as she continues to attack Dalton, pinning him down with shredding wind, Dalton barely able to breathe through the rough pressure against his body and face. "More of you Digidestined dare to show yourself to us, the more success we will find." She parts her lips and overwhelms Dalton with sonic waves as he slumps back against the rock wall behind him. "You will die like this," she tells him. "Alone and powerless. And I will be seen as a hero for ridding our world of yet another of your kind."

Poromon chitters helplessly from his feet and Dalton forces his eyes open to glare at her. "My Boys will take care of you," he forces out, lifting his head just enough to stare her in the eye. "You may defeat me, but you will never win against all of us. They'll..." His head is spinning from the effort it's taking just to speak this much. "They'll make you pay for all of it." He's uncoordinated and weak but he manages to nudge Poromon out of the way, trying to protect him.

There's no oxygen, Dalton can't focus on anything, his vision spinning. "Please," he mumbles, collapsing to his knees in front of Harpymon. She chuckles down at him, the wind growing even stronger, battering against Dalton's shaking form as he drops his head to the ground and tries just to survive this. "No," he mumbles, recognizing the signs of being about to pass out. "Not... not like this... not now." There's still so much he wants to do, things he needs to make right. His poor Boys are still suffering, Poromon is in pain behind him, and he can't even get his feet under him.

He's sure things are about over when there's a flash of heat against his face and Harpymon's wind suddenly disappears, a scream of pain echoing through the area. Dalton continues kneeling there, struggling to catch his breath, when there are soft hands on him, warm and gentle. Familiar whispers against his forehead as he's helped upright, the bright brown eyes of his Boys greeting him. "Brent," he sighs. "Brandon."

They smile at him, brushing his hair out of his eyes and leaning in to rest against him, offering their warmth and strength to him. The moment only lasts for so long before hands grip the Boys roughly, pulling them to their feet. Dalton looks up, about to yell for his Boys, afraid that Harpymon has come back, when he stops short, realizing that it's John TV. He gapes at them and John sneers down at him.

"Don't say I never gave you anything," John says, pulling the boys away.

Dalton shakes his head, trying to figure out what's going on. Behind Johnny, his partner, Mistymon, holds his sword aloft and then turns to follow John out, dedigivolving back down to Guilmon as they go.

Dalton breathes deeply as he leans back against the rocks, scooping Poromon up and holding him close. "You're all I have left," he tells his partner, closing his eyes and waiting for his strength to return so he can return to the others. Although he doesn't want to see Johnny TV with his Boys, he know knows that separating himself from the digidestined as a whole is a mistake that he can't risk attempting again. Not after what Harpymon had said to him.

"We're going to be ok," he says, forcing himself upright the rest of the way and taking it one step at a time as he heads in the direction Johnny TV had gone.
