Christine was having a family dinner with Gustave-her son. "Don't go looking for the phantom," Christine said to Gustave. "It's dangerous."
Despite Christine's warnings, Gustave went looking for the phantom… and he found him. "We want to propose an arranged marriage between you and the phantom," Monsieur André said to Christine, who had gone looking for her son and found him. "We need to prove to people that our deranged opera ghost is sane," Monsieur André said with a look on his face that indicated that he could not believe that he had just said that.
"Well, in that case," Christine said sarcastically.
"And nothing domesticates a man faster than marriage," Monsieur André said.
"You know that from personal experience, André," Monsieur Firmin said dryly. In response, Monsieur André shot Monsieur Firmin a look.
"I'm afraid that you'll have to find somebody else," Christine said.
"And we'll increase your salary, of course," Monsieur André reassured her.
Christine agreed to the deal.
