I own nothing
Screams echoed throughout the birth room. Midwives and healers surrounded Serylla. She was in labor too early. Blood poured from her. It was like the blood was painting the sheets. It pours from the fabric dripping onto the floor. Suddenly the images shifted to a great pyramid of Mereen. Daenys saw herself holding a newborn baby on Mereen's Great Pyramid balcony. A newborn baby orange dragon with sunray fins around its head sat on Daenys shoulders.
A knock sounded on the door waking Daenys from her daze. Naella and Arianne walked into Daenys room. There was a look of horror across her face. Naella was dressed in a deep orange Volantis-style gown. While Arianne was dressed in a spring green Dornish style gown. Arianne had a letter in her hand. Naella went over to her sister to help get her ready for the day. Arianne walked over to the curtains and opened them. Naella and Arianne were talking as they were getting her ready. Daenys had tears pouring down her face. She was dressed in cream Volantis-style. She had a small baby bump that was visible over the thin sheet. As the sunlight poured into the room, Arianne saw the look on Daenys face.
"Naella" Arianne snapped as she rushed to Daenys side.
Naella turned from Daenys wardrobe. She saw the state that her sister was in. Daenys was shaking. Arianne had her arms around Daenys shoulders. Daenys shook her head. She had started to see Serylla as a second sister, a younger sister. Yes, she saw her dead before, but that was before she got to know the girl. Arianne was trying to calm her down. Naella rushed to Daenys.
"What did you see sweet sister," Naella asked.
"Death, me in the great pyramid of Mereen," Daenys answered in a shaking voice.
"Mereen" Naella and Arianne said at the same time.
Unknown to any woman, Ser Jorah heard her dream. He walked off to inform Viserys. Arianne exchanged a look with Naella. She pulled out the letter from Sarella.
"I received a letter from my cousin Sarella Sand," Arianne told them trying to change the subject from death.
Arianne knew that if they would take Mereen. It meant they were kicked out of Volantis. It was the last of Free Cities that still held to Valyrian heritage. Something had to happen that was horrible for them to kick Viserys III out of it. For, his Valyrian heritage was clear as day. They could trace back his heritage to one of the Dragon Lords of Valyria.
"Sarella Sand?" Naella asked.
"She is serving as lady to Queen Joanna of Houses Baratheon and Targaryen. She is married to my cousin and Viserys' nephew. When you had your dream of a second dragon by the Iron Throne. I wrote to her trying to gauge if she knew anything. She is the wisest of my cousins. She finally has replied to me," Arianne said.
Daenys looked over to Arianne at the mention of Joanna. Her eyes went wide. She had that name in her dream. But she thought nothing of it. She had to be the large dragon she had seen in her dreams. The dragon transformed into a beautiful woman with black hair from her dream.
"What does she say?" Daenys asked.
"Recently, it has come to their knowledge that there is a possibility that Princess Rhaenys Targaryen is alive and well in Kings Landing," Arianne started. They nodded at her knowledge. Arianne took a deep breath. "Rhaenys would be your husband's niece," Arianne finished.
Daenys eyes went wide again. She started shaking her head. If that dream came true that meant that others would likely too. She did not want Serylla to die.
Joanna sat in her and Aegon's tent. She was dressed in a black and red gown. It had a high square neckline line. It came down to a tiny point that stopped where her baby bump started. The triangle had dragons, stags, and lions sewn in golden tread on it. The side of the triangle making up the rest of the bodice of the gown was blood-red. The sleeves of the gown were poofy and made up of a mix of red and black fabric with the same golden designs of dragons, lions, and stags. The gown flowed down to the floor with the outer skirt of the gown was blood red with trimming that matched the design of the bodice with the body of the outer skirt blood-red. The underskirt was black with dragons dancing at the hem of the gown. Her black hair was braided back in Valyrain style. She had a crown of rubies and Onyx on top of her head with a veil of black sheer fabric off covering her hair. She was sitting with her ladies in waiting. Marleina was dressed in a light blue gown in a mixture of Southern and Northern styles. Her dark blonde hair hung down her back. Lyarra sat near Sansa. Lyarra was dressed in a deep purple Dornish-style gown. Her hair was styled in a simple rope braid. Piper sat near Marleina helping her with her maiden cloak. She was dressed in a dark blue gown. Her dark chestnut brown hair was pulled back in Riverland style. Jenye was laughing with Elinor. She was dressed in a gold gown with white seashells. Valla was talking with Sarella. Elaena was helping feed Dreamwave and Nymeros with Joy, and Arwyn. Alys and Ryella were petting Meraxes. Marleina reached over, taking Joanna's hand.
"Has he talked to you since then?" Marleina asked.
"No, he has put all his focus into the war council and when he is not there, he is in the training yard," Joanna started. She looked around the room. She looked down, shaking her head. She felt like things were spiraling out of her control. She knew he still loved her completely. She fell through the bond. But he needed to focus on something else than her while he dealt with his emotions about being so close yet so far, his sister. Sarella's eyes met Joanna's. "He has spoken more than ten words to me in two days," Joanna said placing her hand on her baby bump.
Joanna's eyes went around the tent. They were on their way to Riverrun. Her eyes landed on Rhaenys' armor with Dark Sister belted to it. A crazy thought crossed her mind. She needed to take back control of something. Vhagar was big enough. She knew that they had plans to take the Vale with men. But that could take months. If she played her cards right, the Vale could be her completely in a matter of hours. Sarella caught where Joanna was staring. She had a ghost of a smile on her face.
"Ladies, please leave me, I feel I need to rest before we set out again," Joanna ordered.
"Of course, your Grace," All the Ladies replied.
They left out of the tent one by one. Sarella was the last to leave. She paused at the tent flap. She looked outside making sure no one was around. She looked back to Joanna. She had already taken off her veil and crown.
"Do you need help putting on that armor," Sarella asked quietly.
Joanna turned and looked at Sarella. She raised her eyebrow at Joanna. Joanna nodded her head.
"Tell Ser Edric, and Ser Rolland I request my brother, Prince Gendry to present himself to me," Joanna asked.
Sarella walked outside the tent. Ser Edric and Ser Rolland raised their eyebrows as she paused before them. They had seen all the Queen's ladies leave. None of the rest of them had stopped.
"Her Grace, request one of you bring her brother Prince Gendry to her she needs him," Sarella stated before she walked back inside the tent.
Lady Lysa paced around the Throne room of the Eyrie. She had summoned all of the Lords of Vale to come to the Eyrie. And not one of them answered her summons. The soldiers looked on as paced in her rage. Lord Baelish had been given a pass. Being that he was her new husband and the father of her son. He was in King Landing giving her answer to King Joffrey.
"Where is Lord Royce," Lady Lysa yelled.
"I don't know my lady" A Soldier answered.
Lady Lysa turned and looked at the skyline. She saw movement in the clouds. She looked around the room. Something told her something was wrong. The Eyrie was impregnable. It had not been taken since Visenya took it.
Lord Tywin was walking with a group of seven women of lower birth. Six of them were dressed in simple gowns. The last was dressed in Yi Tish fashion. It was not greatly decorated like Lady Massey Hua's gowns were. They were the midwives he had gathered for his granddaughter. There was Jelissa Waters. She was a bastard from house Brune. Her hair was black in a rope braid. Her brown eyes looked around the camp. Her skin was light tan in color. Then there was Dyanna Sand. She was a bastard from the house Ladybright. She had black dreads with dark brown eyes. Her skin was a rich caramel color. Then there was Kaela Flowers. She was a bastard from House Hewett. She had pin-straight black hair with pale skin and dark almond-shaped eyes. Then came Celia Storm. She was a bastard from House Kellington. She had black hair, pale skin, and bright green eyes. She was on the older side. Then there was Laisa Hill. She was also on the older side. She was a bastard from House Bettely. She had normally Lannister-like features. Meaning she was the bastard daughter of a Lannister. She had golden blonde hair that fell in curls with pale skin. Her eyes were the only difference, instead of the normal green, they were sky blue. Then came Darla Rivers. She was a bastard from house Haigh. She had red hair that hung around her waist. She was on the taller side and older. Her eyes were bright green in color. She reminded Tywin of the story of Rohanne Webber, his grandmother. Finally, there was Lady Xi Feng Kudo. She had pale skin. She had chin-length dark brown hair and dark almond-shaped eyes. Tywin noticed that Joy was talking to Tyrek and Lady Shireen. The last thing he knew was Joanna was in her tent meeting with her ladies. Joy was in said ladies. Meraxes was sitting at Joy's feet.
"Joy why are you not with the queen," Tywin asked.
"She asked to leave her," Joy replied with a bow.
At that news turned to look at the midwives. He motioned for them to stay there. When he went to see his granddaughter, was at. He noted that both Ser Edric and Ser Rolland were there. They called to Joanna that Tywin was here to see her. No answer was here. Both rushed into the tent after a few moments. Tywin followed inside. The knights were searching for her. Tywin eyes snapped to where the armor was located. He noticed that it was missing. He turned and stormed towards where Aegon was at. The old lion had woken up and his temper was raging.
Tywin stormed into the training yard. Aegon instantly knew that something had happened. It took one look at Tywin's eyes anyone could tell that he was angry. Jaime, who was learning to fight with his other hand, looked over to his father. He got in between Aegon and Tywin.
"Where is she? Get out my way," Tywin roared.
Tywin tried to make Jaime move. Aegon looked confused genuinely. Ser Edrick and Ser Rolland ran into the training yard. Aegon took one look at them. His face went white. He knew in that instant who Tywin was looking for. Aegon ignored everyone as he ran over to where the dragons were housed. His eyes looked skyward as he silently counted them.
"Seven Hells," Aegon muttered.
"What is it" the soldier asked who was standing guard.
"Four of the dragons are missing," Aegon stated.
"Yea, Her Grace the Queen came with Prince Gendry. They went for a flight," the soldier replied shocked that Aegon did not know this.
Aegon let out a sigh of relief. Tywin came up behind them. The Soldier's eyes snapped to Tywin.
"Was there anything off about the pair?" Tywin asked.
"Now that you mention it. They were both wearing armor," the soldier replied.
Aegon looked at Tywin confused. Then his mind started to work out where they had gone. He knew how Joanna's mind worked. He shook his no. She would not put herself in that much danger surely. Tywin just gave him a look. That said you know her as well I. Tywin knew that he taught her those who were not with us were against us.
Lysa went a frantic search for her son. She wanted him near her most because she felt that something was up. She heard a noise that froze her to the core. All the soldiers went white and froze at the sound. Some even looked unsure if it was what they heard. Their horror was only confirmed when they spied a dragon pass by a window. Lysa moved even faster towards the courtyard of Eyrie. Lysa pushed open the door. She looked up as she heard dragons' roars echoing off the towers. She spied three dragons circling over the Eyrie. She heard her son's laughter. Her eyes snapped to where the sound was coming from. Joanna was sitting with Robin on her lap. By her was a large she-dragon, Vhagar. The soldier who followed her dropped to their knees at the sight. It was like history repeating itself. Robin's hand stroked Vhagar's large head.
"Mother can I ride Joanna's dragon," Robin told her.
"Can I offer you some wine or bread? Surely you are hungry or thirsty from your journey," Lysa offered Joanna as she eyed her.
Joanna did not reply but smiled. Robin like his demanding spoiled child did not like his mother pleasantly. Joanna eyed the soldiers who were on their knees before her and Vhagar. Caraxes and Gaelithox moved closer to the courtyard. They let out roars that were echoed by Vermithor. They threw their swords away from themselves at the sound. Lysa looked at them in horror. How quickly they betray their lord.
"Mother can I ride the dragon," Robin demanded not realizing what he was asking.
"Is it safe?" Lysa asked.
"Of course," Joanna replied.
Joanna's blue-green eyes met Lysa's Tully blue eyes. Lysa felt a shiver up her spine as she watched Joanna's eyes. Joanna wore a joyful mask and smile on her face as she moved hair from Robin Arryn's eyes. Lysa realized she was looking at the cold calculating eyes of Tywin Lannister in female form that Lord Baelish had told her about. She did not doubt if she did not bend the knee to Joanna. She would take Robin up on her dragon and then kill him. Lysa finally dropped to her knees and bowed to Joanna. She nodded her head.
Joanna signaled for Gendry to land. Joanna took young Robin up on Vhagar circling the Eyrie three times. All the while Gendry had all the soldier round up along with their swords. Lady Lysa stayed on her knees. She had silent tears falling down her face. She questioned how this had gone so wrong. She heard the loud thump of a dragon landing. Joanna dismounted with young Robin in hand. She handed him to a ladymaid.
"Please take him inside and get him some lemon cake," Joanna ordered.
"At once your Grace," the maid said.
The soldiers all stood around the courtyard. Joanna waited until Robin was completely out of sight. Gendry walked over to her.
"The Eyrie is yours," Gendry told her.
"Good," Joanna said looking at Gendry. She turned her eyes to Lady Lysa. She moved closer to her. "Lady Lysa of houses Arryn and Tully I found you guilty of treason. As such you and your son are for with strip of your titles of Lady and Lord of Vale and the Eyrie. Your son will be raised by Lord Yohn Royce. If or when he reaches the age of maturity, he will be sent to The Wall to take the black. As for you, I sentence you to die. Do you have any last word," Joanna asked.
"The Lord of Vale will never allow you to do this" Lady Lysa yelled.
"Where do you think they are? They did not answer your summons, did they? They have already sworn their allegiance to me and my husband and the new Lady of Vale. They are currently fighting over her hand. For whomever she weds will be the next Lord consort of the Vale and the Eyrie." Joanna told her. Lysa's eyes went wide at that news. She looked for any way out of this. Joanna motioned for the soldier to bring her a block. Lysa shook her head as the soldier did as she bid. The block was placed before. Lysa refused to place her head on the block. Joanna pulled Dark Sister out she moved quickly. She removed Lady Lysa's head while she was still on her knees. Her hair mixed with blood. Joanna quickly cleaned her sword, placing it back into her scabbard.
"Have Robin Stone brought to Riverrun. He is not brought there, I will return with more dragons, and I burn the Eyrie and Vale until it looks like Harrenhal. Trust me, I have the dragons to do it," Joanna ordered as she climbed back on Vhagar with Lady Lysa head placed in a bag.
Gendry followed suit getting back on Vermithor. The soldiers nodded and bowed to her as the dragons took off. The roars of four dragons echoed throughout the Mountain of Vale. No person would forget this day for eons to come. Queen Joanna in that single act had cemented herself in history books to come as Visenya reborn mixed with Rhaenys.
Author Note: I hope you enjoy this. Let me know what you think. What do feel Aegon and Tywin's reaction will be when Joanna returns? And how do think Joffrey will react when he learns that Vale has fallen? And that Joanna had taken like Visenya done all those years ago. I don't know when the next update will be. Last week I was off work on a staycation and with being wickedly cold I had nothing press to do. But tomorrow I return to work so updates by be few and far between.
