A/N In Buffy canon who or what Dagon is meant to be is never explained, the writers of the Glory arc may have just thought it was a cool sounding name. However, it is the name of several different entities, from mythology to various supernatural/fantasy type stories, so a bit more of that information will be covered in this story. Depending on the particular Dagon the Monks of Dagon represented, the monks could have had wildly differing purposes from a monk of a different religion.

Brother Michael of the Monks of Dagon was certain he'd finally found the Slayer when his map led him to a young woman patrolling the city of Sunnydale with two men, one old enough to be her father, the other the same age as she. He glanced over his shoulder, hoping he'd succeeded in alluding the Abomination's demon servants and he'd finally be able to deliver his message. He was not a fighter or even trained to fight, he was a Priest of Dagon. He'd already decided that the best way to approach her was straight on, to show his intentions were not to cause harm to anyone. He stepped out on the street in front of the group and spoke.

"Please, I mean no harm. I seek the Slayer. Are you she?"

"What do you think a Slayer is?" The girl asked warily as the two men flanked her, one watching for trouble behind them and the other surveying the area around them.

"A Protector created to destroy vampires and when necessary, other demons."

"Going around claiming to believe in vampires and demons can get you in a lot of trouble." The girl informed him. "People tend to think you're nuts and lock you up."

"I am a servant of the Order of Dagon, I am aware that there is more to the world than most are aware least today many are unaware, in times past that was different."

"Order of Dagon sounds like a religion." The older man stated, never stopping visually assessing the area around them.

"It is." Brother Michael confirmed. "Please, I need help, the Abomination has captured my Brother, we are the last of our Order. Our Abbott and our Brothers bought our escape with their lives and now my Brother has been captured. As I searched for the Slayer I encountered the Abomination's demon servants and I ran from them, I think I escaped from them."

"You think?" The older man said, looking passed Brother Michael. "Or did you lead them right to us?" Brother Michael looked back and saw the foul demons that worshiped the Abomination, rushing towards him.

"Why are they after you?" The girl asked, moving passed him and going into a combat stance. "Jesse, look after him!" The boy moved to guard Brother Michael.

"My Brethren and I guarded the Key. The Abomination found us, killed my Brethren. The Abbot instructed us to come to you, that you might be able to protect us from it."

"What is it?" Jesse asked, pulling the monk dude away as the ugly little demons attacked Faith and Mason, trying to watch for more of them that might come from another direction. Gods, there were probably about twenty of them just in the group attacking Mason and Faith. Fortunately they didn't seem immune to bullets

"The only name we have for it is Glorifucus, it looks like a woman, but most definitely is not." Michael tried to explain and then gasped as more appeared and the young man began firing his weapon as well. Michael backed away, terrified. It was all too much, his Brothers dead, his Order destroyed, hunted like an animal by these demons. With a cry, he turned and ran.

"Hey, wait!' Jesse called after him. "Damn it! Dude, they're dead, you're safe!" As the last of the ugly little demons attacking them fell to Faith.

"We need to catch up to him." Mason decided. "He has answers and there could be more of these things after him."

They caught up to him only a block away, being dragged by more of the ugly little demons and struggling hard to get away from them. "Do not injure him!" One of the demons ordered the others. "Our beloved Glorifucus wishes to interrogate him herself to where he has hidden the Key."

"I do not have it!" Michael protested. "The Abbot did not tell me where it was hidden, please, I know nothing!" He struggled to get away from the ugly little demons, but they were strong for creatures so small, to his relief the Slayer and her friends appeared and quickly killed them.

"Okay, obviously something's going on and you know something about it." The girl said. "Let's get out of here before more of these things show up and you can tell us what you do know." She took his arm firmly in her grip and hurried him along.

"We'll go to my place." Mason decided, keeping a constant scan for more of those creepy little things. "Less risk and we can call Diana from there. You can tell us your story once we're there, okay."

"I honestly don't know where the Key is." Michael insisted. "All I know is what the Abbot told us before he sent us away, the plan was to make the Key flesh and send it to the Slayer for protection. But the only thing he gave us was the Dagon's Sphere for protection. My Brother thought he had it with him, but when the Abomination found us, he discovered he'd lost it. Our one means of protection, he let the creature take him, gave his life so I could find you and tell you, the Abbot sent the Key to you. That's all I know."

"Great and that tells us exactly nothing." Faith muttered. "What's made flesh supposed to mean anyway?"

"My Brethren made a human vessel to hide it in." Michael explained as the three stared at him.
